It is ironic and hypocritical of facebook to remove one of Hamza Ali Abbasi’s posts only days after the owner of facebook Mark Zuckerberg declared that he believed in the freedom of speech and he wasn’t going to allow anyone come in his way. This statement by Mark Zuckerberg came after according to him some Muslims threatened him of dire consequences if he did not remove some posts that insulted their Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

Hamza Ali Abbasi in his post talked about the recent events in France in which he expressed his opinion not only about those responsible for the killings but also the West for not being able to understand the responsibility with which the right of freedom of speech is to be exercised. His status update was removed minutes after it was posted. Hamza Ali Abbasi’s account was deactivated for a while because he crossed certain limits set by the facebook administration. It was being heard that a petition to ban Facebook has been submitted and that it will be banned in Pakistan from March 22 onwards.

It happened after Interior Minister, Chaudry Nisar Ali asked for controversial content to be removed from all social media platforms, if they cannot be removed, social media should be taken down for the time being until the matter at hand is sorted.

Facebook has now approved of sending a delegation to the Pakistan in order to resolve this matter with the Pakistani government.

A Ministry of Interior spokesperson said that the management of Facebook, in response to Pakistan’s request, has conveyed that it was aware of Pakistan’s reservations and wanted to resolve the issue through mutual consultation and dialogue.

A spokesperson for the ministry said that Facebook has even nominated a focal person to contact Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The Facebook administration is of the opinion that dialogue regarding the issue would lead to its resolution.

Renowned singer Faakhir Mehmood is working in a drama being produced in Lahore. Apart from Faakhir, Fareeha Manzoor, Aurangzeb Laghari, Kinza Malik and Haseeb Khan are also in the lead cast.

Apart from this drama, Faakhir has also signed two other dramas.

Faakhir has started his singing career from music band Aawaaz in early 1990’s. Three member Aawaaz band comprises of Asad Ahmed, Haroon Rasheed and Faakhir Mehmood. If you’re a 90s kid and you grew up in Pakistan, you’d absolutely remember Faakhir Mehmood and his amazing music. Faakhir was one of the best musicians in Pakistan back in the 90s. And although Faakhir is still very much in the game, he has reduced producing music like he used to and we dearly miss the magic he used to weave with his voice.

Pakistani award shows have not really evolved much since they started happening consistently with Lux Style Awards. We have had award ceremonies in the past but they went down somewhere in the background. Hum later joined in with its awards Hum Awards and another addition Hum Style Awards. But we are still lacking in proper categories. Many a times people are left unacknowledged and there is a common belief that number of social media followers also impacts the results for different actors. Aamir Liaqut is son of Begum Mehmooda Sultana (Ghosia Begum) and Sheikh Liaqut Hussain while his Grand Father (Naana) Sardar Ali Saabri was also active in Pakistani movement. Aamir Liaqut also heads a welfare organization named Mehmooda Sultana Foundation named after her mother. Aamir Liaqut is married to Bushra Aamir and has one son and one daughter who live in Dubai.

Express media house might be successful in news field but its entertainment channel has not been much successful to attract viewers. Maalik is an Urdu film released on 8th April 2016. The film screened for three weeks before formally banned by first the Sindh Censor Board and later the Federal Censor Board. The producer and director of the film Aashir Azeem went to High Court to challenge the ban where the hearing is still in progress.

Aashir Azeem the producer/director of the film announced to release the film outside of Pakistan on 26th August 2016, in Gulf Countries (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain), Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom.

However as per Urdu Daily Jang, the Federal Ministry of Information, Mass-media Broadcasting, and National Heritage has ordered the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to stop any effort to export the print of the film abroad. In order to screen this film outside Pakistan its print must be exported following the due process. But this new order of the Federal Ministry of Information will impact the planned screening of the film outside Pakistan.

Maalik (مالک) is an Urdu film released on the 8th April 2016. The highlight of the film is the comeback of Aashir Azeem to almost after two decades. Aashir Azeem earned fame from the PTV Quetta center drama Dhuwaan (دھوّاں) in 1994.
