Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly became everyone’s favourite couple overnight after Yaqeen Ka Safar. People were shipping them and wanted to see them together again. Their upcoming drama Aangan is hands down one of the most anticipated plays of 2018, all thanks to people dying to see the pair together again. Recently both the stars have been found praising each other at different platforms. Ahad’s mother loves Sajal and Sajal’s sister Saboor also expressed her fondness for Ahad. A lot of speculations started that if the stars are a couple in real life or not? While giving an interview to Haroon for BBC Asian Network, Haroon straightaway asked Ahad if he and Sajal were together, Ahad had an interesting approach to the question and again confirming that he didn’t deny the relationship, Ahad said nothing. Karachi Se Lahore did good business while no one kept very high expectations. The Ayesha Omar, Shahzad Sheikh and Yasir Hussain starrer comedy got the second instalment after that. With Saba Qamar starring as the leading lady, Yasir Hussain became the male lead after doing a supporting role in the first one.

The film is getting the third instalment now and Zara Noor Abbas will be starring in the project. She posted this on her Instagram as she expressed her excitement for the film:

Amjad Khan, the director of Gul Makai – a film on the life of Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai, has now revealed that he didn’t ask for consent from the Yousafzai family.

Talking about it, he commented,

“No, I haven’t. But I think she and her family know that an Indian film director is making a film about her. But yes, I wish to show her the film once it is releasing.”

He went on to talk about the challenges he faced,

“I would say it is tough to make a biopic when people know the main story of an individual that I am making a film on. After Malala was attacked, how she survived and continued her journey thereafter is known to people, because everything has been documented afterwards.”

He further added that he will be focusing more on the back story,

“So, I started my story in the film with the back story of how the Taliban took control over Pakistan’s Swat Valley and how that affected children of that area, including Malala.”

Khan says he went through research for two years along with a Pakistani author before he finalised the script as he was quite extra cautious about everything. He added,

“I have shown things exactly the way they happened, and yet it is not a documentary but a good watch. I had to find the balance as I had to be factually correct and at the same time entertain,”

However, Khan has decided to donate the first day worldwide theatrical collection of the film to Malala Fund to support the cause of children education.

The film, featuring Reema Shaikh in the key role, also features Divya Dutta and late Om Puri in a pivotal role. It is releasing at the end of this year.

People started a lot of rumours after Imran Khan won in the General Elections 2018 about Amir Khan visiting Pakistan. Back in 2013, Amir Khan said at a social event that he will visit Pakistan to celebrate if Imran Khan wins the elections. And now after PTI’s victory, fans were waiting for f Amir will attend the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister to be Imran Khan.

Amir has finally answered the question that he is not coming to Pakistan. The actor said that he has not received any invitation to attend the ceremony and he is already busy with some commitments he has with a charity foundation he works with.

Later, the foreign office also confirmed that no VVIP leaders will be invited plus PTI also confirmed not inviting any celebrity to the ceremony as they want to keep it simple!

Ali Zafar and Meesah Shafi’s harassment controversy is known to all. It all started with a tweet from Meesha’s handle and later the beef made headlines all over the world. The legal battle has apparently come to an end as the Governor has rejected Meesha’s case on technical grounds.

Meesha filed a complaint with the Governor of Punjab under  Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2010. But she was not working under any contract at the time the said harassment happened which made the act non-applicable. Consequently, her case was dismissed.

Ali’s fans are happy for him after the development but at the same time, many people are confused and furious with the technicalities of the law system.

Meesha’s legal team will, however, take the case elsewhere now and will appeal on another forum to get justice!

After Farhan Saeed the actor got a lot of appreciation from fans for his Ramadan Special Suno Chanda, the singer Farhan Saeed is back. Farhan has released his latest song “Maula”. The music is produced by Rishi Rich and the lyrics of this number are by Farhan Saeed himself and Shakeel. Kiran Malik is the lead model in the video while Farhan is seen opposite her. The music video is directed by Adnan Qazi.

The Yaqeen Ka Safar duo Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir also shipped by fans as “Sahad” won more than just hearts with their performances, the couple won big in the Hum Awards held three days prior on the night of 28th July in Toronto.

The onscreen couple bagged the Best Couple award as well as Best Actor and Best Actress accolades.

Sajal’s sister, Saboor Aly, took to Instagram to share a beautiful picture of the pair, holding their trophies. She also a penned heartfelt note on the duo’s journey.

The older of the two sisters penned,

“This is just not an adorable picture for me; it is a reminder for me as to how two people can achieve greatness together,”

She continued,

“From the moment Sajal started working with Ahad in their first project, I knew that these two will create a great chemistry on screen as Ahad was just as hardworking as my sister; these awards are a proof of that,”

She further added,

Meera Jee has her ways of staying in the news. This time around the actress has claimed that she is a better actress than Priyanka Chopra ergo she should be given a chance to star in a Hollywood movie.

Earlier today, it was announced that Priyanka Chopra will be sharing screen space with Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt.

So Meera Jee tweeted,

Priyanka and Chris’ film, Cowboy Ninja Viking, which is in pre-production phase right now, is helmed by Game of Thrones famed director Michelle MacLaren.

Based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A J Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, the story revolves around a counter-intelligence unit formed by psychotherapist Sebastian Ghislain, who transforms agents known as Triplets, a reference to multiple personalities.

The film, currently in pre-production, is slated for a June 28, 2019

Moammar Rana made his comeback in Pakistani films with Azaadi. The film which released this Eid ul Fitr was based on the war of Independence in Kashmir and had Sonya Hussyn in the lead role. Azaadi performed better than expectations at the box office. Now, Rana is claiming that he has not been fully compensated. This is what he posted:

Shahid Afridi Foundation, in partnership with Islamic Relief Canada organized Hope for Pakistan — a fundraising gala for the Sahibzada Fazal Rehman Charity Hospital in Kohat, Pakistan.

The two charities are coming together to raise funds for the Sahibzada Fazal Rehman Charity Hospital, which will provide medical aid and healthcare to some of Pakistan’s most underprivileged communities.

During a media event in late 2012, Aamir had told Imran Khan that he would visit Pakistan to celebrate his victory if he came into power.

Aamir had said,

“When you win the election, I will definitely come [to Pakistan] to celebrate your victory. And I will bring lots of Indians with me,” 

Imran Khan is set to become the next prime minister as his party led the National Assembly tally with 116 seats as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released results of all 270 NA seats that were polled on July 25 across the country.

Singer-cum-actor Ali Zafar has reminded Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan of his promise to visit Pakistan if cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan came into power.

Pakistanis are making a name for themselves and portraying a soft image of Pakistan all over the world. Many of our artists have made a name for themselves in Hollywood too. Laraib Atta, a visual effects artist is one of them. The daughter of one of the most legendary singers of Pakistan, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, Laraib got into visual effects and made a name for herself at a very young age of 19. She has worked since then on movies like Sweeney Todd, The Chronicles Of Narnia, X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

The talented artist is now a part of Mission Impossible Fallout and is still making Pakistan proud. Laraib loves her work and aims to get more youngsters and Pakistanis motivated to get into the industry.
