Although 7 episodes of Muqaddar have been aired & the beginning phase of the drama shows that this is the kind of story that has been seen before, it won’t be wrong to say that the kind of treatment this drama has gotten makes it seem very promising. The initial 7 episodes have laid the foundation in an excellent manner & at this stage, Muqaddar happens to be the kind of drama that doesn’t disappoint the viewers who choose to tune to it.
Cast & Characters
The central character Raima (Madiha Imam) is a breath of fresh air. She is an orphan who lost her parents at a very young age but she was raised lovingly by her uncle Arshad Alvi (Saife Hassan) & aunt Bilqees (Fazila Qazi). Arshad has a son Haris (Ali Ansari) who loves Raima & they both get engaged. Raima may have lost her parents but she was raised in such an environment which she could call her own, she felt she belonged here & this beautiful home was her comfort zone. Although Arshad & his wife did everything to take care of Raima, she still became a strong & sorted individual who knew what she wanted from her life. Haris happens to be an ideal guy who Raima loves, because they both have lived together for years, they both have an undenying chemistry as well as a strong understanding of each other. The initial episodes which covered the dynamics of their relationship were a treat to watch.
Saif ur Rehman (Faysal Qureshi) being an influential feudal lord has made a name for himself. He possesses a very typical mentality, however because he knows he has to survive in a huge city like Karachi, he has eventually forged his image in such a way where people see him as a progressive & open-minded human being. Saif ur Rehman believes in making his own rules & doesn’t actually bother about the consequences because his wealth & power have enabled him to feel he is in control. Saif ur Rehman happens to be married to the widow of his elder brother Farkhanda(Ayesha Gul). Abeera seems to be getting involved in Hassan (Haris Waheed) & she actually doesn’t see a future with Saad because they both are two different people with very different temperaments.
Story So Far
The story so far has covered how Raima’s interaction with Saif ur Rehman impresses him so much that he decides to take it to the next level. Saif ur Rehman sends a proposal for her but Arshad assumes he will be able to deal with this on his own without telling Haris or even his wife. Saif ur Rehman has kidnapped Raima & is making her stay at his farmhouse, he is now trying to pressurize her into getting married. Haris who tries hard to find a solution only returns home beaten & bruised.
The way the story of Muqaddar has been established & the kind of direction it has been given makes it an enjoyable drama to tune to. The scenarios & situations are realistic. The characters have been written in such a manner that makes you connect with them easily & also allows you to understand what they are going through. At first, it was hard to accept that Arshad being Raima’s uncle gave up so easily & didn’t do what it takes to get her back but then, it has also been shown that he was being practical & by the end of the day, he worried about the wellbeing & lives of his wife & son. Arshad was not selfish in his approach but he was practical to analyze that Saif ur Rehman was not going to give up on Raima no matter what he said. Haris also tried his best to get to Raima but Saif ur Rehman went to show him his power & gave him a clear answer that he stood no chance. Raima retaliated a lot but Saif ur Rehman dealt with her patiently. The way Madiha Imam has acted throughout this predicament shows her grip on this character & she actually makes you feel for Raima. The way she cries every single time, helplessly, hopefully, in agitation, in regret, she has given a very strong performance throughout. In the initial episodes, all those humorous scenes which included Maham (Shameen Khan) & her interest in Haris were an absolute treat to watch, the comic timing, dialogues & everyone’s expressions were spot on. All these little details make Muqaddar an interesting watch for sure.
Brilliantly Executed Story
Now the story seems to be moving to the next phase where Raima will succumb to the pressures of Saif ur Rehman only to save Haris’s life. She has finally taken the step to ensure the safety of the only people she called her family. Now it will be interesting to see how she will deal with Saif ur Rehman. At some point, the story of Muqaddar might remind the fans of Faysal Qureshi of his drama Bashar Momin, where him being a don got involved in a girl who wasn’t in love with him but later she brings out the best in him, so far Muqaddar seems to be headed the same direction but the viewers will have to wait & watch. Overall, this drama is enjoyable & the brilliant acting of Faysal Qureshi & Madiha Imam makes it worthwhile. The direction is brilliant without any loopholes & same goes for the story where everything has been explained without dwelling too much into details. I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the episodes of Muqaddar but yes, I can totally see the pace becoming a little slower from now on, let’s see. The cook of Maria B was admitted to nearby Vehari DHQ Hospital on March 22. He was admitted after his test for coronavirus from a private lab in Lahore came out positive.

The novel coronavirus has managed to grip Pakistan in its claws tightly, alongside 199 other countries aorund the world. The death toll in Pakistan has risen to 20 in the past two weeks with 1615 people actively infected. Following the growth of the highly contagious infection, the government has imposed a lockdown in major provinces of Pakistan.

At the same time, answering people who have been criticizing celebrities for posting pictures of their ration distributing drives, Hira added that she wasn’t showing off but she just needed people’s help. “The picture is just to show you that you can join hands with me and contribute as much as you can. Please help,” wrote the Do Bol actress.
Due to the lockdown because of coronavirus spreading in Pakistan, those who worked for daily wages and the needy have been suffering. There has been a shortage of food and other basic necessities as people cannot afford to buy things with no work these days. Hareem Shah made a TikTok video with her friend Sandal Khattak in which she exposed Mubashir Luqman’s private plane. After this, Mubashir Luqman filed an FIR claiming that these two stole his professional cameras and other expensive stuff from his private aeroplane.
In a recent interview, Hareem Shah clarified the whole controversy and shared details about her controversy with Mubashir Luqman.
Hareem Shah shared the story and said, “The real story was that many people didn’t know that Mubashir Luqman had a private plane. Everyone got to know because of us. The entire nation got to know about his plane because of us.”

Doctors and medical staff have been fighting the battle at the frontline, risking their own lives and helping patients suffering from this deadly virus around the world.
While fighting at such close proximity with a virus that is highly contagious, its a sham that Pakistani doctors haven’t been provided with apt medical protective suits that allows them to keep their ownselves safe. Although aid has been arriving in the shape of protective suits and masks for the medical staff, there is still a shortage in the country.

The prototype is now ready and production will start on it from tomorrow. The news was shared by Jofa himself on his social media.
“Asim Jofa with his team had taken up the task for this good cause and we are very happy to announce within less than 48 hours we have successfully created a final prototype of a medical protective suit made according to the guidelines provided by medical experts and thankfully we have gotten it approved by esteemed team of Dr. Seemin Jamali, Executive Director at JPMC. The production starts from tomorrow,” stated the official Instagram handle of Asim Jofa with a video of the ready prototype.
I was eagerly looking forward to this first episode because the teasers were quite promising. My first impression of the drama is actually quite different from what I was expecting it to be. Firstly, I was looking forward to watching Sarah Khan in a different role and was more excited about that than Mawra’s role in the drama. After watching this first episode however I am pleasantly surprised with Mawra’s character and performance. The leading characters are somewhat clichéd – the modern girl who is shallow and the dupatta clad girl who has a completely different outlook towards life.
First Impressions
I definitely enjoyed watching Anaya’s (Mawra Hocane) scenes with her parents more than anything else in this first episode. Syed Muhammad Ahmed is such a graceful and convincing actor, no one plays the loving and caring father better than him. The chemistry he shares with all his on-screen daughters is exceptional every single time. Apart from that, I was expecting Miraal (Sarah Khan) to be a more layered character. The first impression of Miraal is that of a spoiled brat, nothing less and nothing more. Everything from the conversation Miraal’s parents had about her to her interactions with all the other characters suggested just that. She likes all the attention she gets, likes to have her own way and speaks her mind, not always in a good way! Apart from that, she is pretty sure that she can ‘buy’ anything and anyone with her money. Miraal’s father is greatly responsible for shaping up her personality in such a way that she feels entitled to everything and does not feel the need to work for anything, whether it is something material or love and attention. Her fiancé Ali (Jahanzeb Khan) is another person who is more than willing to put up with her attitude.
Many of the dialogues clearly suggested that Miraal has a shallow personality. She is materialistic and cannot see past the branded clothes and interior. Sarah Khan’s performance was decent enough, she looked and acted the role. I am waiting to see if there is more to her character. Eventually, her character perhaps will go through a transformation therefore hopefully it will have more layers as the story progresses. Miraal’s interaction with her nano reminded me of Falak’s relationship with her nano in Shehr-e-Zaat. Miraal’s relationship with her brother Hasan (Ameer Gilani) didn’t have that spark either. The only person she genuinely seems to be close to is her father, perhaps because he does exactly what she wants. Considering the fact that this is Ameer Gilani’s first play, his acting was up to the mark, his overall look, however, is a different story! He looked slightly older for the role as well.
Anaya’s character has a lot to offer. She is driven, affectionate and confident. The confident part of her personality was the most refreshing element since otherwise, her character would have been too stereotypical. The way Anaya welcomed her father and the manner in which this family celebrates everything was the best part of tonight’s episode. The fact that one confrontation with Anaya led Hasan to think about his life and choices was, in my opinion, an unconvincing development. The preview of the next episode suggested that I could be wrong!
Final Remarks
No one can beat Shehzad Kashmiri when it comes to cinematography but the excessive use of background score especially in the opening scenes was disappointing. The opening scenes were not the best since we were rushed from one scene to the other. The rest of the episode, however, was well directed and put together. Shehzad Kashmiri concentrates on visuals a lot therefore it was not surprising that this episode was visually appealing. The characters and their settings are definitely not new. For now, Anaya’s track has my undivided attention although I am not too excited about the on-screen pair just yet. The producers probably know that most of the people might be watching this drama because of Usman Mukhtar therefore they are going to make the fans wait for his character. Many of the leading blogs/websites promoted this drama as Mawra Hocane’s next play which was rather odd! I am however glad that Mawra Hocane acted well and I hope that she continues to be this good as Anaya.
The preview of the next episode suggested that Hasan will change his ways and Miraal will not be supporting him.
