Drama serial Jalan has been talk of the town lately due to its content. The drama serial revolves around the story of a girl who falls in love with her brother in law.

People demanded an immediate ban on Jalan and PEMRA banned it but it came back on our screens as the Sindh High Court uplifted the ban and allowed the drama to air.

Aabis Raza who is the director of Jalan has recently talked about the censored scenes of Jalan and character of Emmad Irfani.

He said, “Due to the censorship and challenges, the character of Asfandyar is not explained well because his character was not easy. It’s difficult to attract Asfandyar because he was not the kinda person who just got attracted by bitching. He was like the kind of person who might have corrected her.”

“He has major swings and he realized when Nisha strictly said to him that what he has done to her and he was going back to Meenu but she kept on changing strategies which changed Asfand’s personality and point of view,” he added.

Talking about the character of Emmad Irfani, he said, “Censorship is so dangerous if I had minus those scenes then his character might appear as ‘bad’ one. Emmad has worked so hard and often he messages me about all the important deleted scenes. However, Asfand is handsome hunk he will save himself with his swag.”

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) is being criticized for a show which is aired on Zee5. A video clip from the web series Churails has taken the internet by the storm.

In the video clip, actress Hina Khwaja Bayat is talking about how she got a job and promotion.  She said, “I used to give a hand job twice a day to my boss who was 20 years older than me. After this, he gave me a job and after giving several more jobs, he gave me a promotion.”

The video has gone viral and Twitter is exploding with the demand for banning such vulgar content. People are demanding to ban vulgar content as they are the cause of ruining the mindset of the people.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has asked TV channels to review ‘indecent’ adverts and chalk up a strategy to get their advert approved by an internal committee prior to the telecast. The statement by the authority came days after an advert featuring Mehwish Hayat to promote Gala biscuits came under severe criticism for being against the values of the society.

In a statement, the regulatory authority said: “It has been observed with concerns that themes of advertisements of ordinary consumer products like biscuits, surf, etc being aired satellite TV channels are not corresponding with the disposition of these products. The trend is causing unrest and behavioral disturbance among the viewers being not only in violation of the commonly accepted standards of decency but also the socio-cultural norms of Pakistani society.”

In this context, viewers are criticizing PEMRA on Twitter for allowing such indecent advertisements. Pertinently, viewers are of the view that airing advertisements regarding general consumer products like biscuits in such a bizarre manner where the visuals do not commensurate with the use of the products is unwarranted and needs to be looked into. In addition to this, complainants are of the opinion that the presentation of the products in such manner is wittingly or unwittingly merely aiming to promote consumerism, it added.

He further shared, “But yes I do acknowledge that it was a marriage and when people reacted I was like ‘Oh shit! So many people love me, I didn’t know that.’ How do I know that people love me? Recently Nimra Ali was spotted in an interview in “Good Morning Pakistan”.

Nimra Ali was called to give interview at GMP, with Nida Yasir. Team GMP helped Nimra for her getup. Nimra visited Nabila’s Salon for services.

Starting off with the interview Nimra reveled that she came to Karachi for the first time and also travelled in train for the first time in her life. Nimra has completed Matriculation, and further wants to continue her studies in media field. She does not have much interest in studies.

Nimra talking about her family mentioned that she lost her father one year ago. After her fathers death her sister looks after her family and Nimra wants to do the same. Nimra never faced any harm or difficulties for speaking so bluntly, but she is scolded by her mother for being so talkative. Nimra loves to do makeup.

While Nimra was traveling from Karachi to Lahore she was offered a proposal but she rejected.

Nimra’s family was also welcomed in the show. Her mother is a support system for her, she allowed Nimra to do whatever she want’s to. Nimra’s family mentioned that Nimra has a very loving and kind hearted personality.  Nida Yasir gave a chance to Nimra to do hosting and interview Amber Khan.

Humayun Saeed and Yasir Nawaz are the favorite actors of Nimra. Nimra wants to be like Yumna Zaidi.

Nimra said that she wants to achieve all her goals in her life with hard work.

She looks breathtakingly beautiful in the advertisement as her all dresses are designed by maestro designer Ali Xeeshan and her makeup is done by Waqar.

The brand has used all the colours from different Pakistani cultures whether its Punjabi, Sindhi, Pakhtun or Balochi.

Mehwish Hayat is giving us major ‘desi girl’ vibes in vibrant dresses and jewellery. She can be seen dancing in different outfits inspired from different cultures which makes her stand out in the crowd.

Ali Xeeshan is a graduate of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD) and holds an honors degree in Couture and an award for the Best Collection at the institute. Enigmatic, honest and aesthetically endowed, Ali has made his mark on the industry in four short years since his debut.
