Mehwish Hayat is a socialist. She tries to help the needy ones and to make Pakistan a better place to live in. But she kept herself quiet on Kashmir issue. During a quick interview, the journalist even asked her to say something for Kashmir but she said that she was not allowed to do so. Her statement left everyone in shock.

Ohkay so, this episode of Khaas was to the point & sweet. Saba’s life has changed for the better, which is something even she is slowly getting used to. To be honest, as much as I have loved this drama, I am not too convinced with the clean chit Faraz & Sadaf got in literally 2 – 3 scenes, whereas they covered their selfishness over a lot of episodes. I so wish they had shown them falling flat & regretting their selfish behavior for a couple of weeks too. I know, they wanted to get done with this aspect to move the story forward to more important stage, which is Saba & Fakhir’s relationship & Saba’s faith being restored but still, I really feel Faraz should’ve learnt his lesson the hard way to actually wake up & realize how wrong he was. It was like the heavy lifting was done by someone else & all he had to do was just accept that yes he was wrong. I have loved Khaas for what it is but this aspect should’ve been handled with a little more elaboration & detailing!
Saba & Fakhir Are Finally Married:
Faraz realized that he was wrong & not only that, he wanted to make things right. Faraz knew that he owed an apology to Fakhir & his aunt, that is why he decided to go & see them in person to say whatever was burdening him. Faraz got a call from his colleague who let him know that the proposal he was considering for Saba was based on lies, which was convincing but the way Faraz blindly believed Anum & didn’t even think things through made him look quite unwise & immature. It was like Faraz woke up one fine day & he realized that he was being unfair. I wish they had shown Faraz speaking to Saba in detail, listening to all that he wanted to say & then apologizing to her. Yes, they did show it in the last episode but it all seemed rushed. Faraz is always in a hurry it seems, he was quick in his decision of getting Saba married to Ammar, then he was quick to judge Saba & Fakhir, he was quick to fix Saba’s marriage again & now he was quick to believe that everything that Anum said was right. Sadaf is another story, she was a negligent & emotionally absent mother who really didn’t even bother feeling the pain that Saba went through. Sadaf was too busy thinking & feeling for herself, her eldest daughter & Faraz, thinking that in this entire scenario, only these 3 people were entitled to feel a certain way & the one who was actually going through a tough time was the culprit & deserved to be treated as an outcast. It’s been a while that I have seen such emotionally absent parents in a Pakistani drama!
Ammar couldn’t believe when he heard Nida telling him that Fakhir & Saba were getting married. Salma’s absence did push Ammar to think about certain things & that is why, even though he didn’t make it obvious, he kind of vouched for Saba that she could not cheat on him, like he had this much faith in her or may be, let’s just say that he knew her but because he was blinded by his ego, he chose to declare the otherwise. Ammar just wanted to make things ugly, this is something that he feeds on. He actually didn’t care what Fakhir or Saba were going through, but he just wanted to create a scene because he also thought he was entitled to rule Saba’s life even after she was not a part of his life anymore. Faraz finally heard the truth from Ammar as well as Fakhir & it made it easier for him to further believed that all the things Fakhir have said were right & that Ammar was not someone who deserved to be trusted this much. Ammar left without saying anything to Faraz but I wish he had humiliated him further, because Faraz deserved it for being such a miserable father to Saba!
Fakhir & Saba got married & this was the start of a new chapter in Saba’s life. Fakhir was just being himself, he is nice, compassionate, gentle & most importantly, he’s in love with Saba. Saba already knew what Fakhir was like but still, she was finding it hard to accept that a marriage could be this smooth & beautiful. Yes, the comparisons did seem out of the blue but then they were very convincing & showed Saba’s state of mind perfectly. She has moved on but she obviously has been scarred for life, that is why she was scared & couldn’t take all that Ammar has said about her, out of her mind but then Fakhir came as a breath of fresh air, who not only showed her that he loved her, but also showed her why she deserved to be loved. Fakhir loves Saba & this is what matters to him. It was nice to see Fakhir being such a good husband to Saba, who was giving her all the freedom to just be herself because he knew this will bring out the best in Saba. Fakhir has started to prove that all the things he said to her were not because he wanted to impress her, rather this is what he firmly believes in. It was nice to see Fakhir sharing his thoughts about how he perceives women & their respect. Fakhir comes from a dysfunctional family but it has been nicely shown that he has learnt it the hard way & he has made a conscious effort to not repeat the mistakes that his father did because he first hand saw what it did to his mother. This is the reason why Fakhir actually understands what Saba has gone through & he doesn’t even want to hear it from her because he can totally feel her pain & relate to it. This aspect & this side of Fakhir’s personality has been beautifully conveyed as well. Saba was happy, for her all of this was unbelievable but still, she was getting to know that Fakhir only believed in seeing her happy, which was super sweet. Those dialogues about chaand were cheesy but they were conveyed in such a cute manner, where both newly weds were complimenting each other, showing how much they love & cherish what they have!
Salma decided to come back. Ammar made it quite obvious to Salma that he didn’t care about her at all, this is the reason why all this while, Ammar was least bothered about his wife gone & on the other hand, Salma was restless. Salma’s mother was the voice of reason, I thought she would tell Salma not to mend her ways but she didn’t because she wants Salma to work on this marriage as she understands the kind of person Ammar is. I loved that particular scene where the moment Salma walked in, Ammar’s entire body language changed. This shows that despite not wanting to, Ammar has ended up giving that edge to Salma to control him emotionally. Ammar is carefree & he thinks he is perfect but Salma has shown him that he is not. It is interesting to see how just by being herself, Salma ends up putting Ammar in an awkward position, something that Ammar would’ve never imagined!
Closing Thoughts – Loving It:
Overall, this episode of Khaas was super Khaas too. Loving the direction & acting. However, I am not sure why from the last few episodes, Natasha’s scenes are merged, more like pasted in between the scenes to make it look like she was a part of the scenario whereas it is obvious that she was not. May be Natasha couldn’t be there when the actual shooting happened so they later shot her scenes & edited them in. Javeria ended up attending the wedding but she did not bother meeting Faraz before & clarifying Saba’s image. I had a giggle when Javeria clicked Fakhir & Saba’s pictures because then she obviously posted them on her social media for Ammar to see & get jealous, lol! Javeria is actually on Ammar’s case, which is nice. The preview of the next episode was quite interesting. Salma is going to ruin Ammar’s life & she will get back with Sajid, by getting married to Ammar, Salma has also realized that Sajid was a better husband than Ammar. Really looking forward to Ammar & Saba’s interaction too. I am so glad they didn’t just end the drama by showing Saba finding herself an ideal husband, in fact they are not only covering Saba & Fakhir’s relationship but also Ammar’s suffering which will eventually result in him realizing that he was wrong in mistreating Saba. Sarmad Khoosat recently dropped the trailer of his upcoming film Zindagi Tamasha and wowed the audience. The trailer offered an insight into the film, bringing across a myriad of emotions. Zindagi Tamasha came across as a film that would depict the dark secrets and double faced nature of this society and how it shuns the ones it condemns.
The film starring Arif Hasan, Samiya Mumtaz and Eman Suleman in pivotal roles is slated to release in Pakistan soon. However, before it can release all over in the country, Zindagi Tamasha, was slated to premiere at the Busan International Film Festival. And now, as news has it, it has also been nominated for an award as well.
Sarmad Khoosat himself shared the news that Zindagi Tamasha, had been nominated for the Kim Jeosuk Award at the BIFF, even before its screening. The director, who will also be having a cameo role in the film, took to his Twitter to make the announcement.
The Kim Jiseok Award is a new award established in 2017 and aims at encouraging and discovering the growth and new talents of Asian Cinema. For the award, the jury will select two films from two sections, one offering a window on Asian cinema and other from the latest and most-talked films of Asian directors. The winning films will be awarded USD 10,000 each.
The official synopsis for Zindagi Tamasha reads,”(it is ) an intimate portrait of a family as well as a scorching political commentary on little gods on this earth who police our private passions.”
No Pakistan release date for Zindagi Tamasha has been confirmed as of yet.
Wahaj Ali, is one great actor, who has gradually made a mark for himself in this industry. In such a short span of time, Wahaj, to his credit, has a number of strong performances and major hit dramas under big banner production houses. Currently, the heartthrob is starring in Hum TV and ISPR’s joint collaboration, Ehd E Wafa and impressing audience with his acting skills.

In his interview with Samina Peerzada, Wahaj confessed to being a hopeless romantic and narrated his love story as well.
“I met Sana on my internship program at Samaa, and instantly confessed to having fallen in love with her,” said Wahaj when questioned about his one true love.
Talking about how his love progressed towards marriage without glitches, Wahaj shared that he had indeed done his fair share of courtship with Sana as well; waiting outside her place for hours to get a glimpse at times.
“There was a time, when our families realized that they had made a mistake with our engagement and they wanted to call it off. However, that is when we took a stand and fought for our love,” Wahaj told Samina Peerzada while he confessed that he had also cried his heart out to convince his parents for his wedding.
The interview was fun and loving as well, bringing across a shade of Wahaj’s personality the public has never seen before. Alongside talking about his wife, Wahaj also shared how she has been a wonderful mother and he, a terrible father, sleeping throughout the night and letting her handling the children, not that he hasn’t been appreciative of his wife and mother for doing so.

Waheed Murad, in his time, was considered one of the most influential actors of South Asia. Ruling hearts with his romantic characters, Murad, was given the title of the Chocolate Hero.
Born in Karachi, Waheed Murad, started his film career when he was just 21 years old. He landed in his screen break in 1959 in a cameo role in the film Saathi. From then on, Waheed Murad, is known to have acted in acted in 125 feature films and earned 32 film awards.
Waheed Murad won a number of awards for recognition of his services to the film industry. However, in November 2019, 27 years after his death, the actor was awarded ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’, the third-highest honour and civilian award by the State of Pakistan, for his contribution to the entertainment industry.
Waheed Murad, passed away at the ripe age of 45, in the year 1983. The cause of his death, to date, remains a mystery. Whether it was a suicide or a heart attack, an era of films and quality acting ended with Waheed Murad.

Use highlighter to make your eyes look bigger
To instantly make your eye look bigger and more awake, apply a bright highlighter powder onto the inner corners of your eyes to open them up. You can use a golden or white shade for this. You can also add a little on the very center of the lid to make your eyes pop. Finally, apply highlighter to your brow bone, directly under the tail end of your brows to create the illusion of a lifted brow. Bright and shiny!

WhatsApp, World’s most used instant messaging application with over 1.5 million users has a news for specific Android and iOS users. According to the latest update in the FAQ section of WhatsApp, from February 1, 2020 onward the application will stop working on the mobile phones running on Android 2.3.7 or older versions of the operating system. Similarly, iPhones running on iOS 8 or lower will also find WhatsApp not working on them anymore.
According to WhatsApp, they will not be developing features which will be supported or run by older operating systems, as a result of which some of the features might stop working abruptly. Therefore they are advising users to update their Android and iPhone mobiles to newer operating systems, to be able to use the instant messaging application. WhatsApp does claim that not a lot of users will be affected by this change. Also, those users who will still be using the older versions than Android 2.3.7 and iOS 8 will not even be able to create new accounts or re-verify their existing accounts.
‘For the best experience, we recommend you use the latest version of iOS available for your phone”, WhatsApp mentions on its support page. Also, WhatsApp will no longer be available on all Windows phone operating systems after December 31, 2019. The company has mentioned that WhatsApp might not be available in the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019 either.

Here is a list of treatments you can try at home to help combat this skin disease:
Use Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar can fight different types of bacteria and viruses. It may help dry up the excess oil that causes acne. To use this solution on affected areas, mix apple cider vinegar with 3 parts of water and apply on to the skin using a cotton ball. Let it sit for at least 20 seconds after which you can wash it off with water. This process must be repeated twice a day for best results. Do not use apple cider vinegar directly on to the face as it may cause irritation because of the organic acids present in the solution.
Take a zinc supplement
Zinc supplements are important for cell growth, hormone production, metabolism and immune function. Taking zinc supplements can reduce acne to significant amounts as individuals who suffer from this disease may suffer from low levels of zinc.
Apply a honey and cinnamon mask
Honey and cinnamon also have the ability to fight bacteria and reduce inflammation, which are two factors that trigger acne. To make a honey and cinnamon mask, mix 2 tablespoons honey and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together to form a paste.First cleanse your face and then apply the mask to your face and leave it on for around 15 minutes. Rinse the mask off completely and pat your face dry.
Use Tea tree oil
Tea tree oil is well known for its ability to fight bacteria and reduce skin inflammation. To use this solution, mix one part tea tree oil with nine parts water. Apply using cotton on the affected areas. Repeat the process atleast twice for best results.
Apply green tea to skin
Not just good for health, but green tea can also be used to reduce this disease called acne. Green tea helps in controlling and fighting bacterial infections and reducing inflammation. The cooled down green tea can be applied directly to the affected areas or mixed with honey as well and used as a mask.
Exfoliate regularly
Exfoliation is believed to improve acne by removing the skin cells that clog up pores. It is the process of removing the top layer of dead skin cells by the use of a scrub. While you can buy scrubs from the market, you can also make your own by mixing equal parts of salt and sugar with coconut oil.
Reduce stress
Stress can also breakouts in the skin, make you tired and weak. Reduce stress by getting more sleep, Engaging in physical activity, Practicing yoga, meditation, taking deep breaths, etc.

In July, 2019 veteran actor Firdous Jamal got involved in a controversy when he shared his personal opinion about Mahira Khan on Faysal Qureshi’s morning show Salam Zindagi. Pakistani Youtubers problematic behavior is rising. They are taking advantage of their position to harass and blackmail girls. The whole Ukhano controversy was not over but here we have another allegation on another Youtuber, Mooro aka Taimoor Salahuddin.
Another famous Pakistani vlogger is being called out for harassing his fellow worker, Fazeelat Aslam. Last week Mooro the filmmaker was accused by Fazeelat. They both collaborated for a music video.
Fazeelat Aslam posted the whole story on Instagram. She claims Mooro for harassing her sexually and forcing her into doing an intimate scene.

The story starts when the Los Angeles based filmmaker and model Fazeelat Aslam collaborated with Youtuber Mooro and Faris Shafi for a music video called Awaam. After working with both, Fazeelat spoke about both and called Faris as a very respecting and decent man while as, she called Mooro as “fuckboi” because he insisted Fazeelat on doing a bed scene with him. Ever wondered how hormones affect our various moods? Sometimes we feel happy, sometimes sad, sometimes angry.. this is all due to hormonal changes in our body. Today, let me tell you about hormones which affect our happiness levels. There are four hormones which determine a human’s happiness namely Endorphins, Dopamine, Serotonin, and Oxytocin. All these are interlinked to each other and it is important we understand these hormones, as we need all four of them to stay happy.
Endorphins
Endorphins are released during physical activity or exercise. This hormone helps the body cope with the pain of exercising. Going running, cycling, cleaning, gardening, doing yoga, getting a massage, eating chocolate also helps release endorphins. Laughter is another good way of generating endorphins, thus increasing happiness. A daily dose of thirty minutes is essential for hormonal balance of endorphins.
Dopamine
Dopamine is released through the body when we get a reward for accomplishing certain tasks either at work or at home. In our journey of life, we accomplish many little and big tasks, it releases various levels of dopamine. When dopamine is released in large amounts, it creates feelings of pleasure and reward, which motivates us to repeat a specific, positive behavior. Dopamine levels can be increased by eating the right level of proteins, getting enough sleep, exercising, getting enough sunlight, meditation, listening to music, etc. This can help in increased motivation levels for getting rewards and positive feedback. Thus the cycle of getting dopamine is repeated.
Serotonin
Serotonin is released when we help others or act in a way that benefits them. Giving back to the society makes many people happy which means their body is releasing serotonin. Buying someone a gift, giving them advice on useful matters, being a shoulder for them to cry on.. all contribute to the increase in serotonin. You can increase your serotonin levels by doing things you love or for loved ones, try keeping a balanced diet, try meditation, getting enough sleep and thinking positive.
Oxytocin
The final hormone Oxytocin is released when we become close to other human beings. Oxytocin is also known as the cuddle hormone or the love hormone. It has physical and psychological effects, including influencing social behavior and emotion.When we hug our friends and family, when we shake hands with someone, various amounts of oxytocin are released. When someone is sad, we can hug them thus giving them happiness. It is just like transfering the hormone to another person. Now, we can understand why we need to hug someone who must be experiencing a bad mood.
So, it is simple, we must exercise or meditate every other day to get endorphins, we must accomplish little goals, get rewards for them and get dopamine, we need to be nice and give back to others to get serotonin and finally hug our kids, friends, and families to get Oxytocin and we will be happy and make them happy. When we are happy, we can deal with our challenges and problems better.
