Mahira has been the talk of the town lately and again people are making fun of her.
After tremendous performance in cheekh, Bilal Abbas has been the talk of the town. Bilal Abbas Khan is one of those lucky performers who have grabbed tremendous love and support from their fans in very little time. Bilal Abbas Khan is the new heartthrob of Pakistani drama industry. With his empathetic nature in O Rangreza as Qasim, Bilal has impressed millions and people are counting him as the next big star in the industry. In a very short time span, Bilal has emerged as one of the most loved celebrities. His character Taimur in the new serial ‘Balaa’ will mesmerize you, we must say that Bilal Abbas knows his work very well! The actor made his big screen debut with Rafay Rashdi’s ‘Thora Jee Le’ in January 2017.
In a recent interview, Mahira has wished to work with Cheekh actor Bilal Abbas Khan. She stated:
“I wanna work with Bilal Abbas , he is very good. “

Is it even possible our public leave a famous figure without mocking. People absolutely judged her for expressing her wish and age shamed her. Mahira has also been age shamed before by veteran actor, Firdous Jamal and now from local public.
People made fun of her, and commented:
Umm, the people are way too straight forward nowadays and age shaming is maybe the new fat shaming.
Again, age shaming..
Who can even answer her question except Mahira?
Age shaming continues,
People just cannot forget what happened in past and keep on making sarcastic comment.
People judging already but we are sure they will make a good couple.
And more and more hate for Mahira.
Mahira has been under fire from quite a long time but she absolutely has no time for haters. We believe she and Bilal will rock together as couple. Your comments?
A pretty lime green frock was styled by Ayeza Khan, Kiran Haqq and Nida Yasir on different occassions.
All three of them rocked this lime green frock. They have brought their fashionable A game. In today’s age, any celebrity with a stylist and designer wear to don can become a style icon! Some celebrities, however, are the real deal! They don’t need designer wear to look chic, neither do they need a stylist, rather, they are movers and shakers of the style world on their own terms.
Nida Yasir, Ayeza Khan and Kiran Haqq styled this traditional frock in best possible manner. Here are some photos of three of them.
Kiran Haqq in lime green frock
Her personality oozes grace and elegance. She knows fashion inside out and is definitely an individual in Pakistan’s fashion industry whose contribution means a lot. Every time you look at her, you find something refreshing owing to her eclectic sense of style.
Her fashion sense is timeless and her personality poised. A perfect combination of the two ingredients brings to the fore a style statement that is so hard to resist.
Ayeza Khan, a fashionista of industry
She exudes a fierce and unique fashion sense. It’s not only her innocent face and a bubbly personality that drives her fans mad, but she also has a style of her own. The actress’s unrelenting fashion approach never lets her followers down.

There was absolutely nothing new about the promos of this drama, we have seen similar stories in dramas like Mere Khawab Reza Reza and lately Khasara. However, I had faith in the writer and the director in particular therefore I decided to watch this drama and review it. Another reason for tuning into this drama was that we have not seen Humayun Saeed playing a middle class man struggling to keep it all together since Doraha days. Well, I must say that this first episode reminded me of the short story ‘The Necklace’ by Guy de Maupassant. Anyone who has read the story will agree with me, the screenplay of this first episode was definitely inspired (not completely copied) from that short story; the entire scenario was a little too similar.
This couldn’t possibly be a coincidence, I definitely did not expect Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar to go down that lane. ARY Digital also did not do the viewers a favor by showing such detailed promos and by explaining every single character in the synopsis which they posted on their website! Most importantly, I expected better from Humayun Saeed, who is an intelligent man and someone who has been in the business for such a long time. This first episode had its good points but honestly the similarities with dramas and now a novel basically show that the writer was probably not given the creative freedom which every writer needs in order to write what they want.
Mehwish and Danish
This first episode focused entirely on the main characters, Mehwish (Ayeza Khan) and Danish (Humayun Saeed). The viewers who have watched the promos of this drama and especially those who watched the morning show in which the cast was invited already knew the basic personality traits of these characters. Having said that, the fact that Danish was willing to go to any length in order to please Mehwish was something ‘new’ since in every other drama, the ‘sharif’ husband stays true to this personality trait right till the end. Therefore, it is good to know that these characters are not going to be black and white. Also, although Mehwish wants more than she has, she wasn’t shown as a negative person – this was one dominating trait of her personality but definitely not the only one. Right from the get-go, it was well established that Danish does whatever Mehwish tells him to whether it means giving an extra hundred to the rickshaw driver or taking the family out for dinner even when the budget does not allow it. Ayeza Khan played her part well, it was good to see her playing a role which isn’t glamorous (at least not yet). Humayun Saeed made Danish’s innocence come alive on screen more than anything else. He was absolutely brilliant as Mohid therefore I am waiting to see more of him in the upcoming weeks. The child actor is really cute and his acting was quite natural.
The Necklace
The necklace was used as a symbol, just like it was in the short story (how many of you attended Literature classes? LOL!!). It basically showed how Mehwish was easily lured by materialistic objects and felt that she didn’t have enough or that she needed/deserved more – which obviously is okay but there was nothing ‘normal’ about the ‘expectations’ she had from Danish. Expecting him to use illegal means to earn money without thinking about the consequences clearly suggested that Mehwish didn’t really mean it when she said that she was happy with what she had.
Final Remarks
The story is a little too predictable, I wish I hadn’t seen the promos and especially the morning show because Hira Mani literally gave the story away! This first episode was strictly okay but also not completely disappointing since it seems like this old story might have a little twist this time around. It is however unfortunate that the producers and writers keep on recycling old scripts. After Dillagi, I was expecting something grand from Humayun Saeed and Nadeem Baig in particular. I am willing to give this one a shot but apart from wondering how Mehwish and Danish will get rid of the other necklace, I am pretty sure where the story will go from here. Nadeem Baig deserves due credit for directing this first episode really well. He used different locations, from sea view to the office, and did not compromise on that which made everything look more realistic on screen.

Fahad Mustafa in Waseem Badami show said , Mehwish Hayat getting Tamgha e Imtiaz turned into the biggest controversy of Pakistan and I dont know why everyone is angry on her getting Tamgha e Imtiaz.
He said Ismael Tara, and other big artists if would have got presidential awards in their youth, their attitude towards it would have surely been different. They aren’t accepting it because that time it was difficult to get acknowledged and rewarded at early age now things have been changed and the social media has played important role in increasing popularity of stars, so all these reasons added to the scenario and it was very well deserved award because Mehwish has given 4 movies which did 50 crore business so please accept the fact wholeheartedly.
Fahad said they ( the Critics) have ruined it (Tamgha – E-Imtiaz) for all of the younger and older lot, I don’t think so now anybody will feel so great to be rewarded most prestigious civil Award.
He further added previously Amir Liaqat Wanted to be part of my film Load Wedding but later he talked on filing case on us and it all ignited with Mehwish Hayat got Tamgha – E- Imtiaz.

Ohkay so, this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb had some phenomenal performances to its credit. The story has started to progress now & a lot more is being revealed, which is now making Ishq Zahe Naseeb an interesting drama to tune to. The direction is making a lot more sense & I am glad that the not-so-needed flavors have subsided & the focus is now on emotions & circumstances of all the characters. This kind of script obviously needed the seriousness & I am glad that has finally kicked in.
Kashif Broke The Silence:
Jahangir created quite a scene at Gauhar’s workplace. Jahangir just wanted to let Gauhar know what he was capable of. It was his tact of intimidating Gauhar so that she feels oppressed & understands that she does not stand a chance against Jahangir. Sameer was disturbed because he didn’t really approve of the drama that Jahangir created at his home, but also because he found out that Gauhar was engaged to a man like him due to the debt her family had to pay.
Gauhar knew that she’d have to do some answering but she was finally pushed to the limit that instead of simply answering her family, she ended up giving them a reality check too. Saleem has been a useless brother, a selfish one at that who just dances on his wife’s tunes, that is why Gauhar reminded him that he had no other choice but to simply accept the fact that Gauhar was working at someone’s house. Saleem thought he was doing the right thing by questioning Gauhar but then, he just showcased his hypocrisy & nothing else. Gauhar has made up her mind that she will continue to work but she did take a little break till the situation normalized at her home. Gauhar’s transition into this mature young girl who is bearing the responsibility of her family has to be one of the best aspects of this drama. I am so glad that she had this side to her too & that is now being elaborated. I will however say that hearing all the things that Gauhar’s mother said to her about having no other ‘option’ than to just marrying her off to Jahangir was quite disappointing. They are helpless, that is a fact but to let your daughter know that she is being used as a barter bargain is the worst thing that parents can do to their child.
Kashif just wanted to do something nice for Dunya by checking upon her but she turned it into another chance of insulting him. Kashif knew that he was tossing away an amazing job for the sake of giving Dunya a reality check but he still acted impulsively & said everything that he had in his heart. Kashif was silently observing Dunya & he did realize that due to her medical condition, she had become tunnel-visioned. Dunya believed what she wanted to believe in & because she was trying so hard to fight her insecurity, she thought everyone was only being ‘nice’ to her because of what she considered her insecurity too but Kashif told her otherwise. Kashif actually respected Dunya, it was because he saw the potential in her & he respected her for the fact that she was running such a successful business on her own but then Dunya saw his respect as a sympathy as well. That exchange of words between Dunya & Kashif was my favorite part of this episode. I am so glad that something has happened in this track as well. Dunya did need this reality check but because she had erected these walls around her, no one could dare say the truth to her but Kashif decided to say it out loud, not to anyone else, but to Dunya, on her face. Bravo! It felt as if Dunya’s father was relieved too that someone did tell her to think & look beyond what is physical state is, he knew that Kashif’s words were bitter but were much needed for Dunya to come out of this bitterness & get back to her happy-self.
So, Sameer could see that his mother has become pretty comfortable with Gauhar & she was also getting used to having her around, that is why when she didn’t show up, she was flustered. Sameer will now do everything to bring her back. Gauhar has left quite an everlasting effect on both Sameer as well as his mother & she is not even aware of it yet. Sameer’s mother has tried to do a lot more research regarding Sameer’s condition, only out of her pure concern for her son. Finally, they did give a name to Sameer’s secret, he has multiple personality disorder & yes, his caretaker that he met in his childhood named Shakira has left quite an impression on his mind, due to which he has not been able to take her out of his mind & has imbibed her personality to keep her alive. Shakira was a voice to all of those evil & negative feelings that crossed Sameer’s mind & because he couldn’t do that himself, he started relying on her persona to channel them out, interesting! I am glad they finally addressed it & now they will show us more about Sameer & the one whom he refers to as Sameera now.
Closing Thoughts – Sami Khan: The Star of The Episode:
Overall, this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb was brilliant. Sami Khan was definitely the star of this episode & he showed what a seasoned performer he is. Sami Khan showcased the anger & frustration that was pent up in Kashif just so effortlessly that it actually left a mark & he outdid himself. That scene was so spectacular that taking your eyes off the screen was impossible. Brilliant acting by all the actors in Ishq Zahe Naseeb so far, Zarnish Khan as Dunya, Sonya Hussyn as Gauhar, Khalid Malik as Jahangir & Zahid Ahmed as Sameer/Sameera are doing wonders. Ishq Zahe Naseeb’s plot is unique but the fact that all these actors have joined hands to bring it to us in such a convincing manner is commendable. Hashim Nadeem has chosen a very complex subject but I am glad he is narrating it just so simple for everyone to understand & take something from it. I am glad they have stopped relying so much on the OST but I could do without it totally. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb.

Mehwiah Hayat today while speaking to sky news has accused Film industry on stereotyping Pakistan with gun culture and terrorism, she said the way Bollywood and Hollywood showed us with bearded men and guns and having subjugated women has really affected us. She also said that the way Pakistani people are portrayed in Hollywood and Bollywood has “fuelled the rise of Islamophobia”.
She said wherever I go people use to ask so you are from the terrorist country, surrounded by gun culture, which is wrong we are not like that. I believe film is the medium that can show real picture of pakistan.
She said atleast portray the fair picture of pakistan do search about what we really are, I am not saying to portray all positive picture but at least a fair picture.
We are so proud of eloquent and opinionated girl who is responsibly raising her voice for the positive image of Pakistan.
Something has to be seriously good for you to profess your crush publicly and your genuine admiration is a common knowledge among your friends and family. A piece of art is meant to entertain and if it connects and pleases, even better. Falling in love with a fictitious character depends on the reader’s imagination and on author’s writing craft. Creating and portraying such a character on screen depends on the craftsmanship of the director and the actor. I have witnessed one such character after a long time – Altamash in Anaa drama.
Watching Pakistani dramas is my only relaxation after work. “Zindagi Gulzar hai” still holds the top position in every aspect – story, dialogues and dialogue delivery, nothing has surpassed it yet. However, after Fawad Khan, Usman Mukhtar in “Anaa” grabbed my attention. In love with Altamash, the character played by Usman, and there are a number of reasons for this crush.
Firstly it is Usman’s tone and dialogue delivery, secondly the dialogues are well written. The character demands a presence and Usman has done justice to this role. The story itself is not great but dialogues, location and Cinematography make it worth watching.
Character of Altmash has overshadowed role of the main lead in the drama. It is evolvement of love between Altmash and Izza that has kept the audience captivated. He seem to be living up to the dialogue that he said in one of the earlier episodes ” Mohabbat se bari bewakoofi duniya mein koi nahi….. muhabaat hoti nahi hai sahi jaga per ke jati hai”. He seems to have gradually developed feelings for Izza and is careful with how he expresses it. The budding romance between these two characters has made it worth a watch, as people can relate with the emotions portrayed.
Each episode is eagerly awaited and the scenes of Althamsh seem to be the highlight of each episode. As the drama is moving towards its climax it would be difficult to replace it. It would be replaced with usual predictable mundane storyline that is being churned in the bulk productions that we witness nowadays.
Wish Usman will continue to do good scripts to maintain the euphoria he has created. Signing off, with loads of love and best wishes to Usman Mukhtar and our drama Industry.
Since we have been minutely following the public’s opinion on twitter about all three big films that have been released on eid day we are posting their raw opinions for you and they aren’t written by us. We aren’t misleading public for any of the movie almost all sort of comments are in it and remember the difference between them is not that big, all are average movies with one being the highest-rated on public opinion.
Paray hat love ‘s screenplay is trash, reported by public rest its great cinematic experience but people are angry that they aren’t kids to be fooled
Superstar is a decent average movie with a script that will go better with production.
Heer man jaa is said to be engaging movie by majority, there are negative comments too but it is with less flaws in its script, again the opinion is based on thousands of tweets and latest ones are attached here.
Opinion of Sonam Kapoor on Kashmir issue and ban of Bollywood films In Pakistan.
The ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan has created air of tension in both countries. Many actors have shared their opinion, some were being rational while others supported decision taken by India. In all this, the fashion diva Sonam Kapoor shared her opinion and she did quite well to make her point.
While talking to the BBC Asian Network, she opened up about the current political situation of the region, her family’s links to Pakistan and Pakistan’s ban on Indian content. She sounds sensible and stated:
“It’s heartbreaking to see where the situation has landed right now and I’m very patriotic,” the actor began. “So I think for me now it’s better to keep quiet and let this pass because even this too shall pass. “I think our countries were one country like 70 years ago and the fact that there is so much divisive politics at play is really heart-breaking.”
She further added, “I think it’s very complicated and I don’t understand it as much because there is so much contrasting and contrary news everywhere, so I really don’t know what the truth is.”
She shared that she will be commenting further once she has better understanding of this conflict.
“I believe in having a peaceful discourse and understanding what’s going on. So when I have the complete information is when I think I can give an opinion.”
Kapoor talked about her family links in Pakistan, “I am half Sindhi and half Peshawari. It’s heartbreaking to see part of my culture is something that I can’t explore as well because of that. “My name is Sonam. I was named after my parents went to Kashmir and were there for a while they were shooting for Ram Lakhan and they decided to name me from there. I still haven’t been there since because of the unrest.”
The fashion diva expressed her sentiments on ban of Bollywood films in Pakistan.
“As an artist, you want to be represented everywhere and you want your work to be shown everywhere,” the actor revealed. “Neerja wasn’t shown in Pakistan, even though it was a true story because the plane landed in Karachi and the hijack happened in Karachi, and it didn’t in any way show Pakistan in a negative light at all.”
She contiued, “The fact they didn’t show the film there was really heartbreaking for me. I have a huge Pakistani following and my two best friends are Muslims and half Pakistanis.”
She sounds quite sensible and believe Priyanka Chopra should take some notes.

Few hours ago, our favourite and most amazing makeup artist just announced a huge news and we can’t be more excited. He posted on his story a picture of him signing Nikkah papers.
Here’s his photo of Babar signing the Nikkah papers in a private ceremony:
He hasn’t revealed who is his partner yet but we wish him a very successful life ahead.
Showbiz can be a tricky profession to be a part of especially when it comes to the personal life of the celebrities. It becomes difficult at times to draw that line between private and public life especially when a celebrity is actually quite open about their private life in public. One minute these celebrities want the public to know exactly what is happening in their private lives and the next second, they want the public to leave them alone. Agha Ali and Sarah Khan were two such celebrities who made their relationship public. The fans fell in love with them and it won’t be wrong to say that they were waiting for them to announce a wedding date soon. Agha Ali and Sarah Khan worked together in dramas, they also participated in morning shows , they had several modeling shoots together, walked the ramp and were seen together really often in the pictures on social media too. They also hinted in different interviews that they were planning to start a production house after getting married.
All of a sudden when Sarah Khan and Agha Ali stopped following each other on social media and removed each others pictures from their social media pages, fans were astounded. They wanted to know what had happened, why did the couple who always looked so happy became this estranged suddenly.
Sarah Khan has never talked about the break up even though people asked her just as many questions as they asked Agha Ali. Agha Ali however has quite often talked about the break-up and the way it affected him.
Here are some clips showing what Agha Ali had to say while he shared the details about the break-up between him and Sarah Khan.
The First Time
Agha Ali talked about the break-up and confirmed the news while he was invited as a guest on the show Chai, Toast aur Host. He said that he understood that people had the right to know but at the same time he said,
“All those people who write nasty things on my wall, saying things like men are unfaithful and why did you leave her. You have no idea what affect this has on me. Mind your own business.”
At the same time he acknowledged the love of all his fans and said he had great respect for Sarah Khan. Agha Ali also said that although this was a terrible phase of his life but in the future if he feels he needs to make something public, he will do so.
The Lessons He Learned
While talking to Waseem Badami about the break-up Agha Ali revealed that now he had learned that he needed to keep things about his personal life, private. He also shared that another reason for the break-up was his possessive nature. He said,
“I cannot be possessive selectively, if someone wants me to care for them completely in one department and expects me to be totally undemanding in others, well I can’t do that!”
Why It Didn’t Work Out
Ahsan Khan asked a very direct question while inquiring about Agha Ali and Sarah Khan’s wedding plans. He did not take Sarah Khan’s name but he asked why Agha Ali wasn’t getting married now. Agha Ali said clearly that he had all the intentions to get married to Sarah Khan but it did not work out. While giving an answer to Ahsan Khan’s next question he indirectly told why it didn’t work out. Agha Ali said that he will get married to a girl who stays the same and does not change. So that basically means that when they met and fell in love, Sarah Khan was a different person but as time passed, she changed and that is why it did not work out. Agha Ali also said that the priorities changed which is why they had to break up.
These clips show how open Agha Ali has been about the ending of his relationship with Sarah Khan. Sarah Khan on the other hand has clearly asked these hosts not to ask her such questions because whenever she comes as a guest on the same shows no one ever talks to her about this topic. In one of the old interviews Sarah Khan said that if she could swap her personality with someone, it would be Agha Ali. It is more obvious than ever that Sarah Khan and Agha Ali are two different people, one is more open about his struggle and the other one keeps things to herself.

Fahah Mustafa in Waseem badami show was asked about the Mohsin Abbass controversy,
Fahad replied that it was his personal matter and shouldn’t have come out because things are phased out in the lives of people its only people who put hands in dirt by speaking up against it and try to destroy lives which is bad.
He said I give 24 hours to take any decision I dont pass judgment without knowing one side of picture. I have no right to be a judge or lawyer.
He said social media is the real curse of lives where we discuss one thing a lot and make issue out of it, people are sitting to judge you all the time.
He said dont be the part of damage always, give humans the margin.
Also, he said I don’t personally know Messha Shafi and Ali zafar and whenever I meet them I meet them with respect, for me both are equal because I dont really know the matter who so ever has done wrong is truly their personal matter. This shows the positivity of a true star and we love Fahad Mustafa for being him.
He said I am not accustomed to tweet about the issues and it is the real thing that is making lives of people hell, you talk about certain famous people and then everyone is talking about you, and become famous and this culture is wrong. We have seen Fahad Mustafa opinionated in whole show, he wasn’t intimidated by certain speculations and assertions of Waseem Badami who always try to knock the guest out.

In response to Goswami, Abbasi tweeted:
“So that over actor and warmongerer for ratings, guy Arnab/his channel declared me an undercover ISI agent! Let me clarify, I am not an “undercover” ISI agent, I am very openly/proudly an ISI agent, just like more than 200 million Pakistanis are proud ISI agents!”

Noman Ijaz is the undisputed king of expressions and his versatile acting has won him many fans all around the globe. He is one of those few actors who always leave their mark and are the reason why people watch dramas. Noman Ijaz is also someone who despite of all his popularity, hardly ever gives interviews. Iffat Omar recently launched her talk show on YouTube and she invited Noman Ijaz as her first guest since he is someone she looks up to and also one of those few celebrities who hardly ever give interviews.
In this interview apart from other things, Noman Ijaz intelligently and boldly gave his own perspective regarding MD Productions banning Firdous Jamal. He acknowledged that the choice of words Firdous Jamal used was not ideal and also accepted that fact that Mahira Khan indeed was a superstar with a massive fan following.
The most interesting bit was when he said,
“The fact is that the viewers who watch the dramas today have been handed over to us by actors like Firdous Jamal.”
So, in other words according to him MD Productions in no way can take away that viewership from Firdous Jamal by putting a ban on him. Another interesting aspect of this discussion was when Noman Ijaz clearly said,
“What Momina Duraid did is actually a big gamble. It can either go in favor of her film and draw the crowds to the cinema or it can completely backfire.”
Noman Ijaz also suggested that ignoring the statement made by Firdous Jamal and not making it an issue would have been a wise thing to do. Noman Ijaz also shared his views about the role of social media generally and he is of the opinion that the Pakistani society, the people, are not ready to use social media in a more constructive manner.
The real shocker was Noman Ijaz’s stance on Mohsin Abbas Haider’s wife reporting the issue of domestic violence and highlighting it on the media. Mohsin Abbas Haider started his television career from Mazak Raat when Noman Ijaz was the host. Therefore, he is someone who has been in constant contact (in a professional capacity) with Mohsin Abbas Haider for quite a while. Noman Ijaz’s statement about ‘taali dono hatho se bajti hei’ suggested that he was saying that both parties were at fault in some way.
He elaborated further and said,
“I am not defending anyone, I am just giving my honest opinion. This thing (domestic violence) only happens when you allow it to happen. If you stop it when it starts then it won’t proceed to the next level. When it happened for the first time, you (Fatima Soheil) should have left him (Mohsin Abbas Haider).”
Noman Ijaz is clearly someone who believes that women should take a stand for themselves and set some boundaries. His point of view however is also being termed as victim blaming by some of the people who watched the show. It was good watching Noman Ijaz sharing his own views for a change since we very often see him translating different characters on screen but hardly ever get to hear how he feels and what he thinks about different issues. Noman Ijaz’s take on married life and his growth as a person and an actor were also interesting bits from this interview which is a must watch.
According to the fourth day collections of the films Paray hut love collected 12. 15crore Rupees which was both overseas and Pakistani collection and it is recorded as big.
Superstar’s collection reached to 11.4 crores, both overseas and Pakistani collection which is grand for an average movie like superstar.
Heer man ja ‘s 4th day collection steadily reached upto 3 crores 50 lacs only in pakistan and with the distribution of limited screens. It seems that the collection of Heer man ja is steadily increasing.
Hareem Farooq is immensely beautiful and talented actor, her fan following is way too bigger despite doing a very few dramas on tv. Most of the time her films actually do business because of her pressence. Whereas if you see her songs on YouTube you will come to know about her large fandom not only from Pakistan but from across the border.
Here are top five picks from her Heer Man Ja promotional looks.
The makers of Parey Hut Love took inspiration from the film Four Weddings and a Funeral, therefore this film does cover four weddings and a funeral. I haven’t watched the original British version of this film therefore I can’t draw any comparisons but I must say that after watching all three ‘big’ films this Eid, I am pretty sure that the one thing our filmmakers seriously compromise on is the script which is truly unfortunate. Parey Hut Love’s cinematography, locations and sets do not disappoint at all. It is also refreshing watching some new faces on the big screen. Maya Ali has given a really solid performance in the film, her dialogue delivery and overall look is right on point. Sheheryar Munawar’s portrayal of a disturbed, vulnerable, angry, confused young man is at times shaky. The screenplay and the dialogues are the weakest link in this film. Hina Dilpazeer seriously disappoints especially in the serious scenes. Fawad Khan’s cameo came as a surprise and it was actually sad watching Fawad Khan on the big screen after such a long time in a Pakistani movie but for such a short span of time – only few minutes!

First Impression and The Final One
Parey Hut Love starts with a bang, you really feel that you are in for a great ride since the film has a visually stunning opening scene. Parisheh James also made a really cute first impression and Frieha Altaf played her role well. The director Asim Raza truly went out of his way to bring the desi big fat wedding to life on the big screen. Even the love at first sight scenario went well with the opening theme of the film. However, as the story progressed, I realized that this was yet another story of a struggling artist trying to make it big in the drama/film industry. So basically the main protagonist of the film turns out to be a lot like the ‘superstars’ in the film Superstar. As the film progresses, Sheheryar’s (Sheheryar Munawwar) anger and commitment issues are explored but the writer completely failed to do justice to them. In the beginning it seemed like this film would do justice to the ‘romantic’ element of the film but sadly that was not the case!
Sheheryar and Saniya (Maya Ali) looked good together even though they got too close too quickly but Sheheryar Munawar’s performance especially in the scenes showing his character’s anger was truly disappointing. Dialogues like ‘You are hurting me, you are hurting me too’ had done-to-death written all over them! The leading characters cry a lot in the film and the lack of communication between them is laughable! Parey Hut Love’s half-baked script coupled with supporting characters which are supposed to serve a bigger purpose but end up leaving absolutely no impact makes this yet another Pakistani film which is visually stunning but fails to make an emotional connection with the audience. Even someone as talented as Ahmed Ali Butt is wasted in a role which doesn’t exploit his talent to the maximum. Zara Noor Abbas fails to make an impact and ends up trying a little too hard. The most funny part was when Sheheryar thanked his half-dad for everything! Sheheryar winning his love in the end was not the least bit rewarding because he was confused right till the end until Zeena (Mahira Khan) made up his mind for him! Like many other Pakistani films, this one tries to achieve too much and ends up achieving very little.
Overall Impression
Parey Hut Love is a colorful film which is a visual delight but Sheheryar Munawar’s performance in particular leaves a lot to be desired. The script has no flow, we go from one wedding and one season to the other. There is no denying the fact that Nadeem Baig is a legend but why cast him in similar roles in two different films releasing on the same date? Parey Hut Love’s overall script is a lot like that of Superstar therefore if you have seen one, you will end up comparing the two. Maya Ali looks really good on the big screen and her performance leaves a lasting impression even though her character disappears in between. Some of the most serious scenarios are just plain ridiculous, which is unfortunate. The songs, the choreography and the cinematography make this film bearable. Mahira Khan’s guest appearance isn’t just restricted to a dance number and the film begins and ends with thanking Mahira Khan!! Mahira Khan’s role is short but crucial to the plot which also seems forced and makes the hero’s character even more weak. Parey Hut Love could have been a nice simple love story but by trying to add more ‘meaning’ to the film, the makers actually killed the romantic and the comic element of the film.

Paray hut love ‘s promotion and screening everything was filled with glamour, Stars and media coverages. The end product seemed too perfect, the trailer was too connected and visually pleasing, the grossing numbers are bigger but what happened to public, why are their opinions brutally honest. It is not a Paid Review nor a Blog, we are just attaching the tweets of public after watching Paray Hut Love
A rising Pakistani actor Asad Siddiqui recently gave interview to BBC Asian Network. He spoke up about how Pakistani dramas are women oriented and how they portray women in dramas is completely wrong. He wishes to see more dramas which with female antagonist.
Asad Siddiqui talking about toxic masculinity shared his opinion,
“Unfortunately, this thing happens all over the world. Men get really affected by rejection that how can a woman reject me? why not? Everybody has right to say no to you. I personally say, one has to learn how to say NO.”
On asking about why men behave in a certain way, he shared his opinion,
“All these dramas that we do we talk about women empowerment. I am sorry to say, there is no women empowerment because the country where you live in and the culture, it’s really different from what we are trying to show. Har dramay mai ap dekhte hain larki maar khaa rahi hai, uspe zulm horaha hai. But if you want to these kind of women empowerment then there so many other examples. We need more roles like the one Saba Qamar played in Cheekh.”
Upon asking about, how male roles are important in these dramas? He responded:
“Most of the dramas are women oriented and men are usually the antagonists for them. Why do you have to show men so antagonists all the time? Maybe 20% dramas you show where woman is antagonist but no 80% man is antagonist, why? Why this inequality? So, you have to come up with the content which can be relatable in general public. We really need to work on our content becuase Hum dekhate kuch hain, kartay kuch hain, sochte kuch hain aisa nahi hona chahiye.”

Sanam Baloch has won hearts over the years by giving some memorable performances ever since the beginning of her career. Sanam Baloch not only started young but she got a chance to be a part of some of the superhit dramas in her career span. Sanam Baloch had left such a mark in the drama industry that when she took a long break to focus on hosting a morning show, the audience always wanted to see her back on their TV screens in dramas. Sanam Baloch has proved time and again that she is a phenomenal actress. There was a time that no big drama used to be complete without Sanam Baloch’s addition in the cast.
In 2017, Sanam Baloch finally made a comeback in ARY Digital’s Teri Raza. As much as her fans were excited to see her back, they were left feeling underwhelmed with both Sanam Baloch’s acting as well as the choice of script that she chose to make her comeback. However, Sanam Baloch is now appearing in Hum TV’s Khaas, written by Sarwat Nazeer and directed by Danish Nawaz. Khaas is actually turning out to be a really good drama and it is looking like a good choice that Sanam Baloch has made at this stage of her career.
Sanam Baloch plays the character of Saba in Khaas. Saba is the kind of girl who grew up seeing her father and mother sharing such a perfect bond. Love, care and respect was what Saba learned was the foundation of a successful relationship and in her subconscious she also set this precedent for a relationship to work. After her marriage, Saba has gone through all kinds of emotions because she is in such a relationship which is toxic but seemingly looks perfect. Saba’s character has faced a lot and Sanam Baloch has given it the right kind of treatment and styling to make it seem more real and relatable.
Sanam Baloch’s styling is perfect in literal sense because she has not kept her character looking too made up and prim and proper throughout her journey. She has shown different shades and also has kept a focus on how emotions and dark phases affect one’s entire personality. Saba’s character seems realistic and relatable because Sanam Baloch has also not relied too much on makeup in some of her scenes. In some situations where Saba was going through the worst, Sanam Baloch didn’t wear makeup and kept her dressing absolutely simple and monotoned to show that Saba is just like all the regular girls out there who have their fair share of the goods and the bads. She fights the hardships, she is defeated, she picks herself yet again and continues to face the storm bravely.
Sanam Baloch has worn some amazing dresses in Khaas and her overall look and styling is very realistic because it keeps on transitioning, to portray the mental state that Saba is in at the moment. Sanam Baloch has relied on variety when it comes to dressing, she has worn some very formal dresses to showcase her character as a newly married girl. Then she also has worn some semi-formal dresses to show that she is expected to look presentable at her in-laws. When Saba’s character goes through miscarriage, Sanam Baloch chose some very simple dresses to showcase that getting ready and looking good was the last thing on her mind. Kurtas have also been a huge part of Sanam’s wardrobe in Khaas because this way, she has showcased that she also relies on casual yet decent dressing when she is at her husband’s home. Hair tied in a bun and kurtas give Saba’s character a very realistic look. The one who is responsible for styling Sanam Baloch’s character has done a fabulous job. Also, all the designers that she has chosen to wear in Khaas have really proivded her with some amazing clothes. One of the dresses also took over the internet and Sanam Baloch shared the details of the designer on her Instagram too. The designers have played with different colors and there’s not even a single color left out that Sanam Baloch has not worn. Different fabrics, different colors, embroideries, self-printed dresses, chiffons, georgettes, every single fabric has been used in dressing Saba up and all of it has looked absolutely beautiful. Sanam Baloch’s perfect frame and physique has also played a huge part in letting these clothes shine.
Let’s take a look at Sanam Baloch’s beautiful dressing in drama serial Khaas:
Have you noticed Sanam Baloch’s dressing in drama serial Khaas? Which ones have been your favorite? Share your thoughts.
Ohkay so, they have changed the name of Kun Faya Kun to Jo Tu Chahay, which I think is the right decision. However, I do feel that the name should’ve been a bit more impactful, this one just looks like a last minute thought, as if they ran out of time so they decided to name it whatever. Well, the good part is that the name of the drama is not going to have any effect on the story or the plot so it’s all good. I hope they also edit out those dialogues where they have forcefully used the terms such as Kun, Faya Kun because no one uses such meaningful words just so casually, especially while discussing their personal matters.
Mashal Sacrificed Her Happiness:
So, Mashal once again told Appa Jee everything but this time around, Appa Jee didn’t really try to convince Mashal, she just heard all of Mashal’s reasons & understood where she was coming from. This entire episode focused on Mashal’s heartbreak & how she was yet again blaming God for testing her with something she so eagerly wanted!?! As far as I remember, Mashal never really thought of Armaan, she just heard that he was interested in her, so not sure why her heart was now broken into trillion pieces at the thought of Arman’s proposal slipping away from her? I totally understand that this is Mashal’s journey, her journey of discovering the mysterious ways of how The Creator fulfills one’s dreams & wishes but to be honest, I am getting a littttttttttle tired of Mashal’s complaining & blaming. Anyways, Mashal thought things through & she realized that she could not ignore everything that Areesha had told her. Mashal respected Areesha’s wishes & the love she had for Arman. Even though Mashal ended up revealing Areesha’s secret, she still held her ground & convinced Appa Jee that she could not get married to Arman.
Arman tried to fight Mashal but he really could not understand why she was adamant on getting him married to Areesha until he met Areesha himself. Areesha put up quite an act in front of Arman to convince him that she loved him madly. It took only one such act of Areesha to score a spot for herself in Arman’s heart. The crux of this entire scenario was that Arman never really understood Mashal as a person. He had absolutely no idea that Mashal was doing Areesha a favor but this was also a test that he was faced with as well. Arman had promised Mashal that he loved him but in the end, he actually believed what he saw but didn’t really have the sight to see through Mashal’s eyes, he really didn’t have the wisdom to read between the lines & to understand that Mashal wanted to become a part of his life too but she was too shy to say that out loud. I actually couldn’t believe that Arman was convinced about Areesha’s love for him because of the emotional act & the dramatic stunt that she pulled in front of him. Arman actually got confused & thought this was the idea of love that excited him, he wanted to be loved the way Areesha had promised but then, he will later realize how suffocating Areesha’s obsession with him is going to be.
Mashal still had this glimmer of hope in her heart that Arman will stand by his decision but she has yet to find out that she will be left broken-hearted yet again. Mashal once again put too much trust in Arman thinking he will oppose what she suggested & stand firm on his decision but she has no idea what will happen next. Once again, Mashal will be reminded that putting trust & faith in people is only going to be a let down, so instead she should trust her Creator & His Plans.
Bisma tried to normalize the tension between Shama & Faseeha but then Shama couldn’t stop noticing the keenness that Bisma was showing. Both Shama & Faseeha will obviously not easily accept Hashir & Bisma’s relationship. Hashir did however suggest that he was trying to talk about Bisma but I guess that hasn’t happened so far. May be he was talking about his attempts of bringing both the families together. Faseeha is rigid too, but it still seems that she might change her perspective but when it comes to Shama, she is on a whole new level.
Closing Thoughts – Excellent Acting by Arij Mohyuddin:
Overall, this episode of Jo Tu Chahay was good. The pace of this drama is comparatively slow so I guess the viewers will have to get used to it. I do however wish that we get to see more of Mashal & something more happening in her life than just her complaining & crying. I really wish Alizeh Shah had at least taken on-job classes from Arij Mohyuddin because when it comes to acting, she is on another level. The character of Areesha is obviously not anybody’s favorite but Arij Mohyuddin’s acting is excellent. Her controlled expressions & the pauses between delivering her dialogue shows the kind of amazing grip that she has on acting. Applaudable. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Jo Tu Chahay.
