Cake was a film made with a lot of layers. It is an amalgam of good performances, great direction and a good story. Cake did average business but got a lot of praise from critics for its overall look. The Amina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik starrer had drama, romance and a tinge of mystery woven into it. Looks like Cake is up for another big achievement.

The Pakistani Academy Selection Committee, chaired by two-time Academy Award and Emmy-winning documentarian Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has selected the Asim Abbasi directorial Cake for consideration into “Foreign Language Film Award”. The Pakistani selection committee also includes Kamila Shamshi, Saira Kazmi, HM Naqvi, Hadiqa Kiani, Ali Sethi, Zoe Viccaji, Nadeem Farooq Paracha, Nabila Maqsood, Khalid Malik and Faisal Qureshi.

The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will select the final nominees for the categories and it will decide the fate of Cake. The Pakistani Academy is hopeful for Cake to get selected for the special category.

Muslims around the globe celebrate this auspicious occasion. Celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H). The day started off with thirty one gun salutes at federal capital and twenty one guns salute of provincial capitals. Muslim countries are lit with lights to celebrated this occasion, from houses to mosques everything shines bright. Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was being celebrated with great religious zeal and fervor across the country yesterday.

On this religious occasion PM Imran Khan ordered the CDA and ICT Administration to cut the largest Rabi-ul-Awwal cake in Pakistan as part of the Milad-e-Mustafa in Islamabad. The cake was 80 ft long. The cake was distributed in panahgahs, orphanages and madrassas.

Right after the pictures from the cake cutting ceremony went viral on social media, the netzines were quick enough to respond. PM Imran Khan faced immense backlash from the audience for his recent act saying that they could have spent this money on helping the needy people rather than wasting on a cake. Here we have gathered some public reviews, have a look!

Pakistani feature film Cake had a very different vibe overall. The film had a strong script, beautiful cinematography and some of the very best performances. The story of two sisters who are entangled in the web of this world and its complications, Cake since its release has made a mark with the audience and critics alike.

Cake has screened at several places and has been a favourite since its release. The new achievement came when Cake won the award for the Best Feature Film category at the South Asian Film Festival held in Montreal. Adding another feather in its cap, Cake has also been sent as a submission for Best Film In The Foreign Language category for Oscars. The final results will be out in January.

The other film that became the recipient of an award is Salam-The First Nobel Laureate. It is a documentary made on the life of Dr. Abdus Salam who is the first Pakistani to win an Oscar and that too in the category of Physics.

Both the films have achieved big and are totally deserving for the accolades they have gotten!

Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s first (former) wife Dr Bushra Iqbal has shared her concern about the High Court’s decision of performing autopsy of the dead body of the host Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain. She has urged fans to be vocal about it as the autopsy is a painful procedure for dead people and Islam doesn’t allow it.

They want their contentment after giving the torture and pain to the dead body? Shari’ah doesn’t does not allow this act, dismemberment of the dead and exhumation of the grave is forbidden in Islam. Allah is watching everything. #AamirLiaquat”

She further said, “For those referencing possible murder: According to the Civil Surgeon’s external examination, there were no signs of bruises, fractures, injuries and violence marks on the body of the deceased. From this point of view as well a post-mortem would be purposeless.
#AamirLiaquat”

Bushra Iqbal is the ex-wife of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain and she has been fighting a case in order to get him justice in the video leak case. She was the one who took up responsibility for everything from their kids to all the legal messes after her ex-husband’s death. She has also filed a case against Aamir’s last wife Dania Shah who allegedly shared Aamir’s private videos which led to his depression.

Aamir Liaquat was married for the third time to TikToker Dania Shah. The couple broke up shortly before Aamir’s passing and Dania who had already left started calling herself Aamir’s widow and also tried to take money from her ex-husband’s property. She is also facing a case for allegedly leaking his videos.

Dr Bushra Iqbal has now got a fatwa confirming Dania was indeed divorced by Aamir and she was not his wife. She also warned everyone to not quote her as his wife anymore. This is the written fatwa that she obtained:

Public is now reacting to this development after this document was shared by Bushra Iqbal:

The death of Aamir Liaquat Hussain stated a whole new controversy when his third ex-wife Dania Shah claimed foul play and wanted a post-mortem conducted in his case. She filed a case where she wanted the body to be exhumed and then go through a post-mortem. Aamir’s children Dua and Ahmed as well as his first ex-wife Dr Bushra Iqbal blocked the petition and fought for Aamir and did not let the post-mortem happen at that time.

The family won the right as the body was not exhumed and now in a podcast with Hafiz Ahmed, Bushra Iqbal has revealed why did her kids and herself insisted that the post-moretm should not be conducted.

She shared that Aamir Liaquat had a will regarding conducting his post-mortem. He did not want his body to ever go through a post-mortem and this was his will which he had shared several times in his life. Bushra Iqbal shared that his life came under threats many times as he was a political worker and later due to controversies that happened during the Alim Online era.

He thus said every time any threat came that never let anyone perform post-mortem on him and bury him as he was. His family also did not see any foul play after they got the initial reports. Bushra said that they would have been the first to call for a post-mortem if they expected something but it was all natural and they respected his will.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain married three times in his life. He was a politician, scholar as well as a host. His last few years were marred with controversies and his divorces had a huge impact on him mentally and then later on professionally. His brief marriage to his third wife Dania Maliki or Dania Shah ended on a very painful note for the host. Aamir Liaquat’s private videos were leaked on the internet and he was deeply effected by it. Dania at that time had filed for divorce and leaked Aamir’s videos as she called him out on social media. After his death, Dania however, claimed that she was still his wife and should get a share from his property and also became a party to a case filed for exhumation and postmortem of Aamir Liaquat’s body. Aamir’s first and ex-wife Syeda Bushra Iqbal has been the one fighting that case and now she is standing up for justice for Aamir as Dania was arrested by FIA for leaking Aamir’s videos.

Dania has been sent to jail on judicial remand after she was initially arrested by the FIA.

Syeda Bushra Iqbal has finally spoken up that why she is fighting for Aamir. She said that she is Aamir’s ex-wife and she has nothing to do with his money. However, she wants justice for him as there were many people who were his fans and were hurt by what happened to him. She further added that Dania’s divorce was finalized and all she was doing since day one was trying to extort money out of Aamir. On a personal note that why she is the one doing all this after everything, she said that it is between her and her Allah.

People are applauding Bushra for fighting for justice and taking a stand:

Late Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s (ex-wife) Dania Malik is in jail after facing the serious charges of leaking the private videos of her ex husband. Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s daughter Dua Aamir filed the case against Dania Malik. Today, the court has rejected Dania Malik’s bail in the case.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s first wife (ex) Bushra Iqbal expressed her gratitude after hearing about the rejection of Dania’s bail plea. She also responded to the allegations of Dania Malik’s mother who said that Syeda Bushra Iqbal and her kids are interested in Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s property. She also said that the kids didn’t visit Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain when he was in depression. Well today, Bushra Iqbal replied to the allegations and said, “Now they are against us, they are putting false allegations on us, we have become their victims, their story starts from the money and it ends on money, money is not our matter, the children are legal heirs of their father’s property, they don’t need to fight for that, they are only fighting for the dignity of their father, they were hurt, the pain will remain with them forever, today, Dania couldn’t proof anything, and they also said that kids didn’t use to meet father, would they be meeting after announcing it on social media?, she called me murderer and that I wasn’t allowing them to come in Karachi, am I that powerful? () , please bring evidences, come in the court, in court they were quite” . Have a look at the video:

Ban all home-wreckers as well. #Equalityforall”, she said this on the tweet of Faysal Chaudary, who wrote, “Massive respect for Rabia Anum who took this step. Media houses should play their role to make society a better place for women. About time that people like Mohsin and Feroz should be banned”.

Bushra Iqbal also said this because Tuba Anwar is alway called upon in Good Morning Pakistan and Nida Yasir gives her all the protocols. She even doesn’t ask any personal questions from her. Bushra Iqbal has been vocal about ban on home wreckers and she calls out industry for selective feminism.

Well, public loved Bushra Iqbal’s point and mostly females said that the home wreckers should also be banned as no crime is bigger than wrecking a home and Rabia Anam Obaid and many others never called out any women but they can do it purposely with men. They also said that Rabia did it on a purpose to be in the news. They also wrote a lot of harsh things. Here are comments:

A couple of days ago Bushra Iqbal, ex-wife of late Aamir Liaquat case in FIA Cyber Crime against Dania Shah and her mother after they reached court in order to be the part of post-mortem case.

Recently in a press conference, Bushra Iqbal mentioned that “FIA has given us a positive response and they have assured us that they’ll investigate on their own and will take action against Dania. Aamir got married to Dania to live a peaceful and happy married life but he didn’t knew that he got married to a greedy woman. Within 4 months his bank accounts were left empty, even at this point he was asking people for money.”

“When Aamir was alive, they were just asking for divorce and nothing else, even they said that didn’t want a penny from Aamir but the moment Aamir died she started acting fake. The divorce was already accepted by Aamir a few days after Dania filed divorce but she’s not accepting it now. We have Aamir’s official statement which proves that Dania is not Aamir’s widow”, added Bushra.

Bushra further said that “Everyone knows that the actual reason behind Aamir’s death is Dania. The entire controversy created by Dania left Aamir all alone. Even Aamir’s driver told me that he used to travel by road know because he was not able to face people after his leaked videos went viral on social media. This case will surely save people from woman like Dania in future.”

While talking about the post-mortem case Bushra stated that “There were no external fractures or injuries on Aamir’s body so we decided not to perform the autopsy. For me Islamic values are preferred than anything else, If we had any doubt regarding Aamir’s death we would have been the first one to ask for post-mortem.”

“We want justice. We want Dania to be arrested as soon as possible and she should be punished for her wrong deeds”, concluded Bushra.

Nida Yasir is facing a lot of criticisms for inviting Marwa’s parents on her show and them asking them to share the whole incident that too on live television. People are bashing Nida Yasir badly for steeping so low for the sake of ratings. #bannidayasir remained the top trend of twitter. Netizens are furious and they want Pemra to ban Nida Yasir.

Some media celebrities also commented on Nida Yasir’s behaviour. Syeda Bushra Iqbal in a video said:

“What happened to Marwa who is answerable to that? We made videos of her parents viral on social media, they were invited on shows for TRP’s but soon it will all end. Where to go for justice”

Noor Bukhari in her comment also shared the reality of morning shows.

She wrote: “Yes they all do. All the morning show its pathetic they call the victim’s and then the host being told rulao inko rulao or rulao. I have left the show once cos of this hideous behavior”

Aurat March, Mera Jisam Meri Marzi, Khalil-ur-Rehman, and Marvi Sarmad are the hot topics of these days. Everyone is passing their own comments. Some are supporting aurat match, while others are completely against it.

Mera Jisam Meri Marzi is a double meaning statement. It doesn’t clarify what people want to say or convey the actual message. This slogan has divided our people into groups: one supporting the slogan, others against it.

Bushra Bashir, during Har Lamha Purjoosh, shared her own point of view on Mera Jisam Meri Marzi. She politely said that little change in words and talking nicely can have a huge impact on others instead of using harsh and inappropriate words.

People could have used some other slogans or words to convey their message to the general public. It would have more effect. People are now criticizing this statement and making issues out of it. We should be careful with our words.

What do you all think? Bushra Bashir is right on using the right words in the right place. Tell us in the comments section below.

There was a lot going on about me, I was seeing all the hate on social media I laughed at it, I didn’t even know her, I didn’t even see her, yes, I saw a few clips. Thank God! Our senior celebrities like Moin Akhtar Qazi Wajid, Zia Mihiuddin passed away at the right time because discourteous people can call out any body even legends like them”.

It is very harmful for you if you use it in wrong manner and it becomes so beneficial if you use it wisely then it will make you so positive, loving and beautiful person. She said to senior actors, “When you comment on others, you should be soft. I am part of fraternity so I should not be cruel, it doesn’t sound good to mock your own fraternity members. I never take part in any drama like this. It is okay to point out others’ shortcomings but with a softer tone”.

He opened my Instagram and posted a picture of my feet, with anklets on it. It was my first post on Instagram, posted by Babar.”

“Still I don’t know much about Instagram. When I started using Instagram, I didn’t knew that if I’ll reply to anyone, everyone can watch it.
