Lately, the doctor and host appeared in Momin Saqib’s show Had Kardi where she revealed about her meeting with her Bollywood crush Shahid Kapoor. She also shared an embarrassing moment while meeting with Shahid Kapoor.

Talking about the interview with Shahid Kapoor, Shaista Lodhi said, “there was a time, Shahid Kapoor was my biggest crush. I also got a chance to interview him for our morning show in Dubai, so, I was super excited when I came to know that we were interviewing him. I went to a salon in Dubai for my make-up, they gave me an Arabic style curly hairdo, they also gave me quite a heavy make-up look which never looks good on my face. At first, I protested a bit but then the make-up artist made me believe that I am looking super stunning. I took the half interview and I was feeling that I am looking so pretty but when the break happened and we were getting our t-shirts signed from Shahid, he asked, ‘whose picture is this on the shirt?’, I got too upset and all my excitement went away, I replied, ‘this is me’. Shahid Kapoor said that you look different in straight hair, and it wasn’t a positive comment at all. After that, I could not conduct the show well. Have a look at the video:

Shaista Lodhi is the queen of morning shows. She became super famous after she transitioned to being a host on morning shows and she has since then grown a lot in life and in her career. Shaista Lodhi is also an actress now as well as continuing her aesthetics clinics. She is a public personality and she has been through a lot of scrutiny in her life.

Shaista was a guest on Alief TV’s show and she talked about the challenges of being a morning show host. Shaista has gone through a huge controversy in her career as well and she has seen the ugly side of fame. She shared that it is very easy for people to say things about a host while they are sitting in the comfort of their rooms. She shared how hosts are talked about everything from their looks to what they are doing.

She added that imagine people saying that this is how you look without makeup? Such condescending behaviour is what hosts face everyday. Shaista added that she cannot even go for grocery shopping in her home PJs. She has to change into something more appropriate as she can get clicked. She shared that being a public personality is not an easy job and people who go through this can only understand the struggle.

Shaista Lodhi announced that she won’t be venturing into morning shows again, after the hoopla that surrounded one of her shows. After the controversial marriage of Veena Malik in her show, which was labelled as the blasphemous content, Lodhi had taken a complete setback.

Soon after all the drama, she stepped into the world of Morning Shows once again with HUM Sitaray. Later on, she completely announced that she would never be returning to morning shows again and that it is the end of her hosting career. By the start of this year, she once again premiered to Geo and then everything went blank from her end. However, the confused lady is back again.

If the news is to be believed, which is to be, Shaista Lodhi has rejoined GEO Entertainment as a morning show host. She would now be re-continuing her legacy of morning weddings and extravaganza once again with GEO.

Shasta Lodhi was the guest at Speak your heart with Samina Peerzada where she has admitted that “I was lost in glamour of showbiz for the years I did morning shows she said that I thought I have lost in Showbiz”.

She said that “In start I carried on with showbiz for a certain life style as I had to send my children in school and things like that but I feel I have missed my golden time and the childhood cherishing moments of my children”.

She further said that “I was lost in glitz and glam of showbiz for a while  but it didn’t hold me for long then I balanced my self . I think there was a point in my life where  I distanced my self from fame. And also there was a thought in my mind that morning show platforms were used wrongly. It could have been message-driven.”

She said “I think every morning show host must have thought about it. We could do much better as women are basis of society and society solely stands on them and it was a good medium that utilized wrongly.”

She emphasised on changing the heads and editorial control teams and said they should be administered by women because only then things could change as those male bosses  needs rating and she had to be abide by that rule. She said ” I could have done better by not compromising but I did.”

She said “I strove to do my sort of shows about simple life style and weddings which can be done simpler.  we did wrong and I admit it. We don’t dare to change content. I started to fear that this loud mode will be part of my life and I used to become louder and dominant. Now I am composed and calm person. I got peace that I was missing. Although it’s a financial loss but it is for sure a personal growth”.

Shaista is a versatile Pakistani television Host, actress, and Dermatologist who is running her clinic in Karachi. She is a part of the Showbiz industry as a television host for a long time and indeed included in the list of one of the most admired television presenters. Shaista has been attached to various morning shows on different channels. Moreover, she tried her luck in acting in 2016 that didn’t turn out well.

Shaista got married to Waqar Wahidi in 1992. Unfortunately, both parted their ways after 20 years of marriage. In 2015 she again got married to her first cousin Adnan Lodhi. She is a mother of 3 children.
