“Sometimes it depends what kind of comments are written. There are different kind of criticism for example healthy criticism and criticism which attacks on your character. You can address healthy criticism, we can discuss that”, says Mehwish.

Mehwish further added that “I never turned off my comments section. No one has a right to attack on my character or interfere in my personal life, that’s where I draw a line. They don’t even know how I actually am in personal life.”

Renowned singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was given the lifetime achievement award and honorary membership of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi at a small but impressive ceremony in the council’s Jaun Elia lawn on Tuesday evening.

The President of council Ahmed Shah said, “Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the first artist from the world of music to get the award. Before him Zia Mohyeddin, Anwar Maqsood, Iftikhar Arif and Amar Jaleel had received it.” After that he read a citation: “the singer is the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and grandson of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan. He was three years old when he took his first lesson in music and only seven when he started to get training in classical music. He has come out up playback artist, and has performed all over the world. He is also the recipient of the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.” Mr. Rahat has dedicated this award to his family, friends in Pakistan.

The film is a story of unconditional love between two youngsters who have to part ways owing to their circumstances. It has an Indian actor Ankur Rathi playing an important role in it while the other cast members include Shahzeen Rahat, Aaadi, Mohi Abro, Sabeena, and Amir Qureshi. This would be both Syra and Shahroz’s second film.

A few days back University Of Lahore expelled two students who embraced after getting engaged on campus, after a video of the incident spread on social media this week. In the clip, a female university student gets down on one knee and proposes to her boyfriend, the couple can then be seen hugging and holding bouquets of flowers as onlookers cheer them on and film the scene. The University of Lahore said the pair had acted “in violation of university rules”.

Recently another video of a couple from a Pakistani university popped up on social media performing the same act as the viral couple of University Of Lahore did.

The boy can be seen proposing the girl while sitting on his knees and holding a flower, and later the couple hugging each other in front of their friends.

Singer and model Mesha Shafi had accused internationally renowned singer and actor Ali Zafar of harassment, while the court hearing of the case has not yet reached its logical conclusion.

However, the ‘Times of India’ yesterday claimed that Meesha Shafi has been sentenced to three years in prison for making false allegations against Ali Zafar, after which ‘Mail Online’ published the same news.
