The character of Salahuddin Ayyubi has been played by a Turkish actor Ugur Gunes.

The auditions for upcoming Pak-Turk joint drama series Salahuddin Ayubi are being conducted by the producers in which four popular Pakistani actors have made their place. The drama will feature the life of the great Muslim leader – Salahuddin Ayubi who was also known as Saladin in West.

Ushna Shah, Adnan Jilani, Farhan Agha, and Ayesha Omar, were the first actors who convincingly made their way to the series. The first round of auditions was held in Lahore and Karachi. It was reported that over 6,000 experienced and new actors applied for auditions but only 62 were selected for the drama. The series will be shown in Turkey and Pakistan at the same time.
Adnan Siddiqui, Humayun Saeed, Dr Kashif Ansari, and Dr Junaid Ali Shah are the producers of the drama along with their Turkish partners.

Adnan Siddiqui also said, “I am excited, I can feel it in my bones that this particular series will do wonders for Pakistanis.”

Yeh Dil Mera actor further added, “It will be opening doors for Pakistani actors in the international market and the only way we can penetrate the international market is through Turkey.”

Turkish producer Emre Konuk, owner of Akli Film also tweeted “A contract has been reached between Akli Films and Ansari & Shah Films regarding the upcoming Pak-Turk joint series.”

Well, in a question answer segment, the actress accidentally revealed about a Blockbuster drama that she refused to do. The slip of tongue was about the popular and hit drama “Mere Paas Tum Ho”, when Jibran wrote the name of the drama which Saba would have wished or loved to do, Saba said that the script of Mere Paas Tum Ho is kept with her at her house, so it would not surely be that. She replied to it after hearing about Ayeza’s character Mehwish, in particular.

“It’s a tough job, acting so not an easy job, you know it. I got many offers, many big scripts were offered to me. Gangster was one of them. Then we had a discussion and part two of a movie was offered to me. I don’t want to name the movie because it doesn’t sound good, someone has done the role. But the character’s name in the movie was Shoaib too. They told me that I won’t have to do anything, just stand and talk. They said that I have such a Gangster personality” said Shoaib

Commenting on Iqra Yasir’s viral photos, actress Minal Khan suggested Yasir to give charity to the poor in order to avoid evil eyes.

Asma also added that he loves Saba Qamar so much that he would have proposed her if she did not marry him. As Tabish joked that may be Saba had said no to the proposal, Asma Noman said that her husband is a gem and anyone would have said yes to him.

Selahaddin Eyyubi is an upcoming magnum-opus which is a joint production between Pakistan and Turkey. The series will showcase the life of great Muslim ruler Selahaddin Eyyubi and will feature actors from both the countries. Recently, the production began for this mega series and a set unveiling was done which was attended by many big names in the Pakistani entertainment industry.

There has been a lot of speculations going on around who will be featuring in the seres and who will essay the iconic role of Selahaddin Eyyubi himself. Well, a few details are out now and the role of Selahaddin Eyyubi will be played by Turkish actor Ilhan Sen while the female lead is being discussed with Gulsim Ali who will be signing up for the role soon if the reports are to be believed.
