Film star Meera is in a bit of a situation. The actor has reportedly lost her bag and passport while travelling and does not know where to go for help.
The bag contained all of Meera’s belongings, including her money.
“My passport, my cash and everything else that was in my bag has disappeared. I am a star and the Pakistani High Commission in the UAE should help me out,” Meera told The Express Tribune.
She also revealed that she had been visiting Dubai in search of work and is currently in between negotiations to secure her future in the showbiz industry.
Meera also has a contingency policy:
“I want to do something for the poor people of my country,” she stated. “Therefore, I have decided that if I do not find suitable work after my trip to Dubai, I will join the Punjab Assembly and contest the general elections to further the cause of the poor people of Pakistan”
According to Meera, she already has a few offers from a political party which she didn’t disclose:

I am a sensitive person and feel very strongly about those living their lives in extreme poverty. I already have my hospital project but now, I want to do something even better after winning the elections,” she shared. “Other than eradicating poverty, I want to further education and justice for women in Pakistan and that’s what my political slogan will be. I have already started preparing myself for the election campaign.”

We hope Meera finds her bag soon!

After staying away from showbiz for sometime except for some controversies Meera is back in action. Few weeks back Meera told her viewers that she was going to do a few stage dramas and Meera is also seen hosting the show Hum Sub Umeed Se Hein. The latest news is even more shocking, Meera has joined BOL and that too in a very senior capacity.

Meera is a Pakistani actress who frequently makes headlines due to her scandals, controversies, and dramatic public appearances. The actor has once again grabbed the spotlight on the media after her mother’s recent interview with Geo TV in which she revealed why Meera landed into a big trouble due to her poor English.

In an interview with Murtaza Ali Shah for Geo TV, Meera’s mother Shafqat Zehra Bukhari revealed that she was deported from London by immigration authorities due to failing in English language. According to Meera’s mother, she misquoted her name and also mistakenly said “transaction” instead of “transit” due to which she was deported and banned from entering the UK for ten years—a restriction that has now expired.

Meera’s mother, Shafqat Zehra Bukhari further added that now they have requested the British High Commission to issue a visa to Meera. She said that at that time, they couldn’t understand Meera’s English and Meera also couldn’t fluently communicate. Here is the link to the video:

We have been waiting for Meera Jee’s wedding since decades now. So guys here you go! News has it that Meera’s reception will be taking place next month (August) in Lahore. And the groom is!!!!! YES, You guessed it right! Captain Naveed.

Meera’s father Sarwar Shah told Express Tribune: “Meera has had her nikkah with Captain Naveed already but there was this issue of Sheikh Atique that sprung up; he was claiming to be married to my daughter, But he has not been able to provide any solid proof of their alleged marriage and our family wants to move on from this. The time is right for Meera and Naveed. We will announce the dates next month and send invitations out to all our relatives and family members.”

Previously Meera told Sohail Warraich on his show that she will be tying the knot soon and if the reports are to believed Meera and family are keeping the things under wrap to keep the ceremony from bad eye. Both the families are planning for functions right now.

We wish Meera finds her happiness and leads a blissful life!

Meera Jee is a film star of Pakistan who has been working in the industry for three decades now. She has worked in hundreds of films and she has worked with nearly all the big film stars of the country. She has now turned producer and her upcoming film Psycho is creating waves in the industry.

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is a star writer of Pakistan. He has written both films and dramas and all his projects become big hits. The writer is right now branching out from working only with Nadeem Baig and Humayun Saeed and the writer will be working with Meera’s production house Red Lipstick Production.

Meera was a guest on Suno To Sahi and she has announced her upcoming project with Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. She will be working in a drama written by him while he is also writing a film for her production house. The drama will be a thirty episode based series and it is being worked on right now.

This is what she announced:

Meera Jee is known for her unique point of views and demands. The actress has indulged in several legal battles in the past. She has also been ridiculed for her lack of command on the English language. Meera is back in the news as the cheques she paid her lawyer were bounced. Meera had no money in those accounts. Consequently, her lawyer sent her a legal notice. Meera Jee being the innocent she is asked the same lawyer who has sent the notice to answer back on it as he is her lawyer.

Meera Jee’s lawyer has shared the messages since then and people are fixated on her spelling skills again. Here is what happened all in all:

Meera Jee is always part of the news one way or the other and we wish everything about her new case gets dissolved soon!

Meera Jee is a very big name in the Pakistani showbiz industry. She has worked in many films and dramas in her career. Meera knows the art of staying in the news and she has been the talk of the town for decades due to her controversies and things she does or says. She is also very entertaining and has a strong screen presence.

Meera recently came on Mohsin Abbas Haider’s show Public Demand and the show went really well. The channel also shared BTS from the show and how it was shooting with the iconic Meera Jee. Meera knows she is the star when she is present somewhere and she made sure of it on Public Demand as well.

From asking to recite a stanza to telling everyone else how it will go, Meera Jee made her presence felt on the show and she is a star for sure. This is what went down:

The public was in fits to get a behind the scenes view of the show and this is what they had to say:

Our very own Meera Jee is finally getting married in August. She has not disclosed about her groom due to nazr e bad issues but according to all reports its none other than Captain Naveed. The functions will take place in Lahore. The grooms family is already in Lahore and now Meera Jee is out shopping for her bridal jora. And who will design her dress? The ace and much loved Indian designer Manish Malhotra. Meera Jee has posted a selfie with him too.

So finally the wedding is happening. We hope Meera Jee looks the way she has imagined on her big day and we wish her all the best for her future!

Pakistani film Baaji, a Saqil Malik directorial starring Meera Jee, Amna Ilyas and Osman Khalid Butt amongst others created quite a stir amongst the audience. The film was critically appraised for its amazing performances and the different script allowing the masses a sneak peek into the dirty underbelly of the film industry.

After wowing audience in Pakistan, Baaji, then moved onto the film festival circuit, being screened across the world at various international film festivals and securing hoards of awards and appreciation.

And now, here’s a good news for all those who missed Baaji in cinemas while it screened in Pakistan.

Following a huge public demand, Baaji the film is making a comeback in cinemas across the country from the 6th of December 2019.

Baaji the film, stars Meera as Shameera, a fading Lollywood star, who finds a companion and manager in a beautician Neha (Amna Ilyas). With a number of underlying plots highlighting the dark aspects of the film industry in Pakistan, Baaji, the film was received well on the cinemas and by the public.

Meera is probably one of the few actresses that nearly everyone in Pakistan, who has even little knowledge of showbiz, knows. She’s been known to make controversial statements, be part of controversies or just give more heat to a controversy every now and then.

These days, the political situation of our country is pretty tense and of’course Meera Jee had to not only choose a side between PML-N and PTI but also to give advice to the leader of PTI.She has advised Imran Khan to allow PML-N to complete its tenure and wait for next elections as believes PTI will form the next government.Patience Khan Sahab!

As long as PML-N will remain in power , they will largely be exposed to nation. Therefore, Imran Khan should wait for next election rather than doing some thing to bring to end PML-N government.

She further claimed that the people of Pakistan support Imran Khan and PTI and so the next government will be PTI-led government. Not only PTI but the entire nation is united against corruption, she added.

Do you agree with her?

Actress Meera is an integral part of Lollywood. She made her movie debut in 1995 but earned nationwide critical acclaim in 1999 for her lead performance in Khilona. She was praised by the audience and won her first Nigar Award.

She has worked in Bollywood as well, her first movie in India was Nazar. It was the first movie after India Pakistan peace talks. She also worked in Kasak and Paanch Ghantay Mein Paanch Crore.

Her latest work was Baaji where she portrays a struggling superstar hanging onto her superstardom by a thread.

Recently, she went to the Maldives for vacations. Meera jee posted her fun-filled pictures and videos from her tour to the Maldives.

While the world is urging everyone to keep a distance, stay at home and keep ourselves locked inside to avoid being struck or transfer the deadly coronavirus to our families, Pakistani actress Meera is busy roaming around the streets in Washington DC. sightseeing the White House.

“I am in front of the White House,” says Meera before she mentions Corona prevention techniques and reminds people to frequently wash their hands and to improve their immune system so that they can prevent themselves from contracting the virus.

Earlier the Pakistani actress was seen attending 23rd March celebration with the Atlanta Pakistani community and again risking a number of lives with close social contact at such a large public gathering in the US.

Meera Jee and her leisurely stroll could be putting a lot of people to risk. Shouldn’t Meera Jee bhi practicing social distancing like everyone else rather than roaming around in the US, where the number of affected people has already surpassed that of China.

Corona Virus has extorted whole world to impose a lock down to reduce the spread of this fatal virus. At present, Unites States of America is the country that is enormously effected from Corona Virus right now with most number of corona positive people in it. More than 40 thousand people have died because of novel corona virus in America and the number is increasing with each passing day.

A few actors including Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Hira Mani, Meera Jee and a few more went to America to attend some meet and greet shows.  While they were still in America Corona Virus wave throughout the world got out of control. All the actors came back to Pakistan as soon as they could considering the crucial circumstances. Meera Jee on the other hand didn’t come and now she is stuck in NYC.

In a video message she has pleaded to Prime Minister of Pakistan to bring her back to Pakistan as the condition of New York is getting worst day by day.

She said: “Mister Prime Minister its 2 O’Clock of night in New York and I am stuck in a room of New York. I came here with Humayun Saeed and other artists for shows and shooting of movie. My all colleagues went back whereas I am stuck in New York. I have no savings and my survival is difficult here. New York is becoming a cemetery and thousands of people are dying daily. Everyone has to die but I don’t want to die in a foreign country. Mister Prime Minister you have always supported artists. All the counties are taking their people back. I am requesting you to do measures to bring me back to my country.”

All our prayers are with Meera Jee that she stay safe in America and come home safely. Ameen!

Pakistani film industry went through a down phase in the past few decades. The industry went under and we did not have any new film stars in the country. But the last crop still stands and Meera Jee is one such name who is still relevant in the industry and among the masses. Meera Jee has worked in films as well as dramas and she has managed to be the talk of the town for her controversies as well. Meera is based in USA as well as Pakistan and she is now very active on social media as well.

Just when she starts to fade from our memories she makes an appearance and reminds us all that she is still there. She was in news last time as the court had asked her to appear in her marriage with Attiq ur Rehman Case.

Although, she had not been doing enough good work for now but she has signed Saqib Malik’s debut film Baaji which revolves around a former actress’ fading stardom. On being asked if the film is based on her real life story, she said that she could relate with a few chunks but it is not entirely based on her life. It also stars Amna Ilyas, Mohsin abbas Haider and Osman Khalid Butt.

Meera spotted with Mathira. They sure look bomb together. Both have been a part of Pakistan’s very own version of Naagin.

This is what she had said:

Now, Meera was a guest on Hasna Mana Hai where she was asked about if Michele actually messaged her or not. She said that yes, she had gotten a message from him and he wanted to work with her but she could not at that point. But in the future why not.

Shehryar Munawwar is a ladies’ man, that for sure. His good looks and charm sweeps away co stars and fans alike. After an amazingly emotional performance in Ho Mann Jahan, he is acting in first Pakistani superhero film, and has become very popular in its anticipation.

He recently appreciated Meera in a promotional event for Project Ghazi, declaring his admiration for her and his keenness to work with her, even if she is not willing to.

Meera jee, as active she is on twitter, has tweeted a very sweet reply to Shehryar, and she is not one to reject a friendly hand;

Meera Jee is one of the most famous names of our Industry. Meera Jee is also known for her controversies and her English speaking skills. Meera Jee knows very well that how to stay a part of the news by hook or by crook.

Meera started her career in 1995 with the movie Kanta. It was an instant hit then one after another Meera starred in a number of movies both in Pakistani and in India including Kanta, Nazar, Khilona, Dunya Hai Dil Walon Ki, and plenty of others.

Meera likes to create an impact, she doesn’t care about others. Meera doesn’t believe in being politically correct she rather delivers punchlines and creates controversies, she doesn’t mind becoming a part of jokes.

Recently, Meera in a show replied to a few mean and thirsty comments. Meera’s legit replies actually made us think that people can love Meera, people can hate Meera but no one can ignore her.

the

Whenever we take Meera Jee’s name there is bound to be controversy attached to it. The lady knows how to stay in news and never fails to amuse us. Be it her English or her engagements she always makes to the breaking news section. Recently Meera has been in the news for taking a dig at Maryam Safdar where she blamed the government for severe load shedding and termed them as butchers.

Oh baji, your father is a butcher. We are dying because of no electricity today. Bahir temperature check kiya hai? Butchers all of you. https://t.co/v4QAb4p8qm

— Meera (@TheMeeraJee) June 5, 2017

Next up was Ushna who got under her twitter fire because of her hypocrisy status:

Don't bite the hand that feeds you @ushnashah – the industry is what makes us. Good or bad, it's our house to cleanhttps://t.co/UDC3Fj2Vk6

— Meera (@TheMeeraJee) June 5, 2017

And now its none other than President of the USA Donald Trump. Meera really gave a nice and impressive shut up call to him on his Qatar comment and here is what she had to say:

getting ready to bomb another #Muslim majority nation https://t.co/wrv1zRqlUf

— Meera (@TheMeeraJee) June 6, 2017

Plus she also pointed to the president’s expression:

Yes, we all saw your frightened expression white seated with the king. You couldn't handle his dominating persona, could you? https://t.co/zSrlnv2X33

— Meera (@TheMeeraJee) June 6, 2017

Is Meera turning into twitter’s Hamza Ali Abbasi? Whatever every one will think she is definitely talking out people’s minds. Way to go Meera Jee!

English and Age are the two most famous things about Meera Jee. Well we all know about the Gulabi English of Meera Jee many people believes that Meera Jee takes English as a weapon to stay in lime light.

Age is the an other thing confined to Meera Gee. For many years Meera denied to come out of twenty’s zone.

Meera made her film debut in 1995 with Kanta, according to Meera Jee she joined Media Industry at a very young age of 14 or 16 so she is still very young. She herself said that “Googles ” also have wrong information about her age.

Meera Gee was invited as a guest in Say It All With Iffat Omar that is a web show conducted by Iffat Omer. She asked Meera Gee: “I am going to be 48 in February how much younger you are from me?”

The rule of the game was to either answer the question or eat the stuff present on the table. Meera instead of giving a number ate a green chili.

Meera said:”If I give a number I will disrespect all the women.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/B_DN5nEAueg/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Woah! this implies that Meera would rather eat a green chili than telling her actual age. Well we all know Meera Gee is forever young but we also believe there is no harm in sharing your age, because its better to age gracefully. Share your views in comments section!

The famous Pakistani actress, Meera Jee is always in the limelight. She is now making headlines once again, according to The Express Tribune, Meera is getting married allegedly for the third time. The wedding is going to be a private ceremony.

A post shared by Rubia Moghees (@rubiamoghees) on Mar 9, 2017 at 7:42am PST

A source told The Express Tribune, “Preparations are in full swing at Meera’s house and she has strictly instructed her parents and family members to refrain from disclosing any details about the wedding.”

A post shared by NishSays (@nishsays) on Apr 29, 2017 at 8:59am PDT

“The ceremony will mostly be held at home but Meera has also booked a five-star hotel for it and is currently sorting out her clothes and jewellery. As it’s a sensitive matter, Meera didn’t hold a big engagement function and most of us still don’t even know who she is getting married to now.”

Meera Jee has once again taken a 360 turn in her comments and stance which she had earlier. While it was just a day or two ago when she said that Imran Khan should stop pushing hard for the government, today she has taken a U-turn again. This time, becoming an astrologer, Meera has predicted that the next election win will definitely go to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

She further said that Pakistan Muslim League and Nawaz Sharif will continued to be exposed further for the world to see. Meera Jee went on to say that the nation is with Imran Khan and they all are gearing up for his win in General Elections, 2018.

What’s more is that she will be getting married soon, but isn’t ready to reveal the name of her partner to-be just yet. You know, evil eyes and all. Right? She believes that every time she comes clean about her marriage, countless obstacles are created in her path to happiness.

For all we can guess, Meera has her way with antics to get media attention.

Pakistani entertainment industry right now is based more on the drama industry. However, that was not always the case. We had a huge and flourishing film industry years ago mostly based in the Punjabi language but we were also making Urdu films back then. The last stream of superstars that we had from our film industry were Shaan Shahid, Moammar Rana, Reema Khan, Resham and Meera among others. Many of these stars are not working anymore or shifted to working on television. One star however who always remained in news for her fashion sense, her language or her choices of a life partner is Meera Jee.

Meera never ceases to amaze the audience with how much she has been in the news for years. She has also made her comeback to films with the hit movie Baaji. She is in USA these days where she recently also did a show to raise funds for the flood victims who are awaiting help. Meera Jee was out and about in a maroon body con dress and she looked amazing. She shared some clicks with her fans too. Meera had minimal makeup on and her hair was flowing freely. Here is Meera Jee dazzling in western look:

Meera came under criticism by netizens for her fashion choice:

Meera Jee has her ways of staying in the news. This time around the actress has claimed that she is a better actress than Priyanka Chopra ergo she should be given a chance to star in a Hollywood movie.

Earlier today, it was announced that Priyanka Chopra will be sharing screen space with Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt.

So Meera Jee tweeted,

“I am a better actor than Priyanka. Universal Studios, Hollywood, please consider me.”

I m better actress then #PriyankaChopra #universalstudios #Hollywood please consider me. https://t.co/z8MmHYtolZ

— Meera (@TheMeeraJee) July 31, 2018

Fans were quick to respond and the response was mixed, some were supportive mostly were sarcastic.

Priyanka and Chris’ film, Cowboy Ninja Viking, which is in pre-production phase right now, is helmed by Game of Thrones famed director Michelle MacLaren.

Based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A J Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, the story revolves around a counter-intelligence unit formed by psychotherapist Sebastian Ghislain, who transforms agents known as Triplets, a reference to multiple personalities.

The film, currently in pre-production, is slated for a June 28, 2019

Have anything to add?

It’s true that in today’s day and age, women become very sensitive when it comes to discussing their ‘age’. However, Meera’s case of her changing statements about her age is a total mystery!

A post shared by Hasan Ahmed (@hasanahmedofficial) on Nov 24, 2015 at 4:07am PST

Meera’s age has always been a complicated matter and she is usually seen clarifying the speculations. This time around the lady claimed that Google (which shows that her age is 40) is wrong and she’s way younger than 40!

According to Express.pk, the Lollywood veteran says that her real date of birth is 14th May 1985. This makes her age 32 years old. She also added that she will be spending her 32nd birthday with kids at an orphanage.

A post shared by Lahori Fashion (@lahori.fashion) on Apr 29, 2017 at 10:46am PDT

As far as I know, Meera has been associated with the entertainment field for a good 20 years, however, according to her, she is still 32 years old!

Meera Jee established herself as a successful actress in the old Lollywood industry. She did many films in her career and was a well known name from films. She later transitioned to television where we saw her doing projects but mostly she transitioned to controversies. Meera Jee has many stories as well as memes attached to her name now and she is not shy about them at all. From her marriages which were not marriages to revealing that Michele Morrone wants o date her, Meera Jee knows how to stay in the public eye.

She has recently give a short interview to The Fame Pakistan where she challenged Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra to a face off. Meera said that Priyanka is just overrated. She further added that she has been installed and pushed by the Indian lobby in the industry otherwise she is just a big hypocrite.

Meera Jee went on to challenge Priyanka Chopra to a face off. She said that Priyanka would not even be able to do one scene opposite her. Meera is one confident person and it shows. Here is what she said:

This is how public is reacting to Meera challenging Priyanka:

Meera Jee is on fire these days. Twitterati are shocked by her constant savagery. Be it government, prejudiced actors or tharki awaam; no one is safe from the fire of her words. Take a look who got under fire and what you get when you try to cross the diva.

Maryam Nawaz’s praises for her father’s good governance didn’t go well with Meera Jee:

And well she cannot be blamed for this; this is a question every Pakistani wants to ask:

And then Maryam got asked about “Awam ki khidmat”:

Anddddddd you never question Meera Jee about her twitter rants; that too with a fake name:

When Meera Jee gave a sound piece of advice to Rishi uncle:

And she celebrates Pakistan’s win in style:

But still not forget to call out government on their duties:

And then Adnan Sami got served with what he deserves:

When she summed up the stupid personality of internet trolls:

Meera is beautiful and she owned it in the most savage way:

We wish Meera Jee will keep us entertained with her savage tweets in future too!

Recently, Ushna Shah took to social media to expose the hypocrisy of people who preach about Ramzan but end up doing the opposite.

She criticized celebrities and went ahead and exposed the doubles standards in the Pakistani showbiz industry. However, not all celebrities were in favor of her hypocrisy letter. After Hamza Ali Abbasi, it’s Meera Jee who decided to hit back at Ushna Shah.

Here’s what the veteran actress said:

Don't bite the hand that feeds you @ushnashah – the industry is what makes us. Good or bad, it's our house to cleanhttps://t.co/UDC3Fj2Vk6

— Meera Irtaza (@TheMeeraJee) June 5, 2017

Ushna has not responded to Meera’s tweet yet however, one can expect a hoard of opinions to be exchanged.

The post didn’t go well with Hamza Ali Abbasi as well.

The actor, who is known for his bold stance took to Facebook and seems like, his post had something to do with Ushna Shah’s recent viral note.

Hamza Ali Abbasi feels that people who change during Ramzan shouldn’t be mocked for doing so.
