Lux Style Awards 2019 – In the industry that is all about glitz and glamour, award functions provide a great platform to all the celebrities to go all out with experimenting and coming up with great looks. It is one such night where all the celebrities gather to dazzle but where some succeed, others take the wrong turn. Lux Style Awards 2019 is one of those events too where all the celebrities come together to not only celebrate the substantial and brilliant work but also show up to make a statement. The entire social media is buzzing with the images of Lux Style Awards 2019 as it was held on Sunday July 7th and where we loved some of the looks, a few turned out to be eyesores too. This is always a part and parcel of Lux Style Awards and because the best dressed celebrities have been covered, it is our honour to pay tribute to the worst dressed celebrities too because they made us giggle or even laugh at some point! Their dresses and looks made us wonder how they could go so wrong with all the exposure they have and not to mention the fact that the leading designers dressed them up. The obsession with dressing up in Western dresses at the expense of cuts that could have easily accentuated the beauty of these celebrities had they chosen to go for dresses our designers are more ‘familiar’ with, was difficult to understand.

Ever since Sana Javed has shed the extra weight, she has grown comfortable enough to show her skin and Lux Style Awards 2019 was no different. Sana Javed was seen dressed in a purple off-shoulder gown and we were left confused about the kind of bustier that dress had because it didn’t sit well on her curves at all. The dress was placed a bit too low to make it seem like a comfortably worn off-shoulder gown and it looked like it could fall any minute. Sana Javed is naturally pretty but the purple eye makeup and puffed up hairstyle also didn’t do justice to her beauty. Better luck next time Sana.
If you look at just her face, Mansha Pasha’s hair and makeup was nicely done and it suited her pretty face but her dress is a completely different story. The only thing good about the dress was the color but other than that, it looked like a local tailor cum designer took a cloth appropriate for formal Shalwar Kameez and turned it into a gown to be worn at Lux Style Awards 2019. Not sure why her dress had a window in front, may be it was to kill the scorching summer heat of Karachi. Better luck next time Mansha.
Every single year, every single event, every single Lux Style Awards, Nadia Hussain has made it a ritual to look weird and dress horribly and no surprises there, this year was no different. Not sure why the designer thought taking an inspiration from dhoti/patiala shalwar and turning into a bottom of the gown was a good idea. Everything about this dress, be it the color or the one sided long sleeve or the pattern, just everything is wrong about it. Not that we expect anything good from our top model but better luck next time Nadia.
Ps: The model standing at the back in black outfit has also scored a spot in this list.
Not sure why Sonya Hussyn thought she could have a take on being one of the live trophies that are handed out during Lux Style Awards. The sleeveless golden gown that Sonya wore was a downer and not sure what was happening on one of her shoulders. It looked like the designer was left with some extra piece of cloth so he or she decided to stitch it on one of the shoulder straps to make it look like some abstract design but they failed. Sonya’s hair and makeup was also not exciting, bold lip and basic eye, Sonya wears more makeup in her dramas than she wore on Lux Style Awards 2019. It also looks like Sonya’s designer tried out his napkin folding techniques while designing her dress. Better luck next time Sonya.
We’re pretty sure Nabeel was misinformed and he had no clue that he was invited to attend Lux Style Awards 2019 because no matter what, no one would deliberately dress up as a butler and show up on one of the biggest events of the year. The length of his coat was not only unflattering but weird too and we’re unable to figure out what was he or his designer thinking. The highlighting on his face didn’t make up for the complete lack of basic fashion sense. Better luck next time Nabeel.
Hybrid of Human and Chicken, this is the only thought that comes to our mind when we see Ushna Shah’s dress that she wore on Lux Style Awards 2019. Not only the styling and designing of this dress is awful but the fact that it was so ill-fitted also adds up to the negative scoring. Ushna Shah must have thought that she was making some sort of statement, yes she did but the wrong one of course. Better luck next time Ushna.
Just like Nabeel Zuberi, Momina Mustehsan also seemed to have been confused about the nature of the event of Lux Style Awards 2019. May be Momina also misplaced her invitation card and had no idea where she was headed because that yellow silk pleated skirt and embellished top was a horrendous choice. Not to forget the way this bright yellow color contrasted and competed against her bright red hair was quite alarming. We were missing some green otherwise Momina would have perfected the job of turning herself into a traffic signal. The placement of Chanel bag was again a very desperate call for attention. Bronzing that made her look muddy and highlighting that made her look greasy, it was just a bad day for her. Better luck next time Momina.
Sarwat Gillani’s hair and makeup was on-point at Lux Style Awards 2019 but the dress she wore was absolutely not made for her. It looked like Sarwat Gillani was on crunch for time so she borrowed this dress from someone last minute and it wasn’t her size at all. This dress had beautiful cuts and colors but it just wasn’t the right fit for Sarwat’s petite frame. Better luck next time Sarwat.
I guess Sadaf Kanwal dressed herself in Hi-Vis material so that she could act as a crowd controller during Lux Style Awards 2019. Neon craze has taken over the fashion world but Sadaf Kanwal is smart to be using it for her job too as a traffic controller while making an appearance at award function; hitting 2 birds with 1 stone sorts. The graphic eyeliner was a scary choice and the fitting and overall designing of this gown was awfully wrong. Sadaf’s eye makeup reminds us of Bil Batori from Ainak Wala Jinn. Better luck next time Sadaf.
Fahad Mustafa has been experimental when it comes to clothing, this is something that we often get to see in Jeeto Pakistan too and Lux Style Awards 2019 was no different. It looked like Fahad Mustafa ran out of options so he took his wedding Sherwani and snipped it to make a coat out of it. The white finishing adds another low-grade touch to his coat. Better luck next time Fahad.
Iqra Aziz is the talk of the town right now after bagging 2 awards and getting engaged to Yasir Hussain at Lux Style Awards 2019. All that has been celebrated but can we put that aside and look at the clothes that she was wearing? That huge cape which could cover a 4WD like Toyota Prado made no sense whatsoever attached behind a tiniest of embellished white suit that she was wearing. The design on the cape was may be inspired by infamous Pakistani truck art but was a modern version of it. Rumor has it that in order to look like Deepika Padukone Iqra Aziz also went for a sleek ponytail but the thing is, later as the night progressed, it was no longer to be seen especially during those moments when Yasir Hussain proposed her? May be the fake pony fell off and Iqra didn’t notice since she is used to short-hair and not having so much of hair weight on her head. That remains a mystery. Anyways we’re not sure about what was happening with Iqra that night. Better luck next time Iqra.
Saba Qamar has also been included in the best dressed list because the simple white gown that she wore was a great choice but we are not too sure about the second option that she wore; a sparkly embellished bustier and pants with long shrug. The bustier was not only skimpy but it was unflattering too. The ruffled lace on the bustier was a weird choice as well. Not too sure why the shrug was a part of the outfit as it didn’t serve any purpose. Saba Qamar’s make-up and styling was on point but this outfit had lingerie written all over it and we are rolling our eyes. Better luck next time Saba.

Her new drama serial Gul-o-Gulzar, featuring Saboor Aly and Kinza Hashmi in the lead roles, has recently started airing on ARY Digital and people have already shown immense love for it.
The storyline of the drama revolves around the friendship between two college friends. Kinza Hashmi plays the character of ‘Gulzar’, a hard-working and innocent girl with integral values. Whereas, Saboor Aly plays the role of ‘Gul’, who is a carefree and clever girl, with a dominant negative side to her personality. Zaheen Tahira; one of the most senior and veteran actress passed away today on July 9, 2019. Zaheen Tahira was born in Lukhnow, India in 1949. She started working for Pakistan Television Industry in 1966 and was active till 2019. Zaheen Tahira has been a part of block buster dramas and she was recently seen in ARY Digital’s Baban Khala Ki Betiyan.
On June 23, 2019, it was reported that She suffered from heart attack and she was admitted to Agha Khan Hospital in Karachi. Her family members did say that she was recovering but today, she is no more with us.

The big duppata with detailing on it went perfectly well with her beautiful outfit. Her look proved that a traditional outfit was the perfect choice for the occasion.
Imran Ashraf was another one of those very few celebrities at the Lux Style Awards 2019 who chose a traditional outfit and even though he played it safe, he looked more handsome than many others who didn’t. We love Imran Ashraf’s outfit, his confidence and most of all his aura. He looks wonderful in an all black outfit which he was seen twinning with his gorgeous wife who looked just as attractive. Some of the other male celebrities did not get it right at the Lux Style Awards 2019 but Imran Ashraf most certainly did.
Mawra Hocane has definitely upped her style game. After experimenting with various looks in different award shows and not getting it right, this year at the Lux Style Awards 2019 Mawra Hocane’s style game was on point. Mawra Hocane looked pretty in an all white dress which was decorated with stones and sequins. Mawra Hocane sported smokey eyes and this time around she decided to go for a pony tail. Mawra looked classy and cool at the Lux Style Awards 2019 and therefore was one of the best dressed celebrities.
Naveen Waqar is a really stylish actress who looked great on the Lux Style Award 2019. Naveen Waqar wore a beautiful dress which was formal as well as pretty. Naveen Waqar carried this dress with her usual style. Her make-up and styling too was perfect.

Faysal Qureshi is yet another celebrity who did not experiment much and proved that sometimes that is a good idea. Faysal Qureshi’s self-printed jacket gives him the formal look he needed for the occasion without going overboard. Unlike other male celebrities, he kept the styling decent which makes him look fresh and young.
Emaad Irfani was another one of the male actors this year at the Lux Style Awards 2019 who looked dapper. We love the color combination and his overall look is great.

This was a phenomenal episode of Inkaar, absolutely impressive in every single way. I honestly thought I had seen the best of Inkaar but team Inkaar keeps on surprising me in the best manner possible – perfect writing, direction and performances. Tonight’s episode of Inkaar was emotional and perfectly put together. Rehan Sheikh, Yumna Zaidi, Imran Ashraf, Sami Khan and Noor-ul-Hassan truly outdid themselves tonight.
Tonight’s episode opened with Shayan turning to his father for help because he knew that with Gullu Badshah out of the way Chaudhrys had a definite edge. This conversation between Shayan and his father was the perfect start to an episode which didn’t lose its momentum for even a minute. Shayan’s ‘lecture’ had absolutely no affect on his father who looks at things from a completely different angle. If it weren’t for people like him, all the Hajras out there would get justice so in a way he is equally to be blamed for what happened to Hajra. The writer has shown how wrong impressions can be, a ‘badmash’ can sometimes be the savior and a protector in a suit can be the biggest threat to justice. Shayan, it seems didn’t agree to his father’s top most condition which is why he refused to help him. I absolutely love how brilliantly Noor-ul-Hassan has translated his character on screen, those sarcastic and wicked expressions on his face are simply priceless. Sami Khan is effortlessly convincing as a young man trying his best to make things right but not succeeding at it. Sami Khan is at his best while conveying the frustration he feels when things get out of control or the times when Shayan has to show more flexibility.
The court scenes tonight were the highlight of this episode. Hajra’s lawyer’s opening statement was as honest as it could get. Through all these dialogues the writer highlighted few of the most bitter truths of our justice system. The rich and the powerful get away with murder because of the reasons which have been so aptly shown in this drama. The helplessness of the side which actually should have had an edge in this case was shown superbly. Hajra and her father had vowed to fight their case till the end, if not for Hajra than for Gullu but the lawyer knew only too well that they didn’t stand a chance. All these scenes were extremely emotional, Rehan Sheikh and Yumna Zaidi have been outstanding throughout but their scenes tonight were the best. Mansoor Jamal’s entry after Gullu Badshah was out of the way made perfect sense.
Rehan Chaudhry’s confidence, sheer ignorance, arrogance and naivety knows no bounds. When he walked out of the courtroom he was so sure that his mother will keep her promise, not considering for a second even what must be going through Hajra’s mind at that time. Imran Ashraf’s performance tonight was absolutely faultless in every way. He made the most of every single scene and captured the essence of all the emotions his character was going through. Hajra’s brother has continuously been a source of even more frustration at home and today eventually his father completely lost it. This was also one of the best scenes tonight which showed the level of anger this father felt.
Tonight’s episode ended with Rehan Chaudhry realizing that his mother perhaps won’t keep her promise. Will that change anything? How will Hajra and her father recover from this awful experience? This battle is definitely not over just yet. I haven’t seen the preview of the next episode yet therefore I have no idea what the next episode has in store.
Tonight’s episode of Inkaar was picture perfect in every way and it was also extremely poignant. Inkaar is turning out to be an exceptional serial which never disappoints. Looking forward to watching more exciting, emotional and meaningful episodes of this amazing serial.

This latest episode of Anaa had some shocking revelations, few scenarios which were not very convincing and others which made me wonder how this story will end. I have said this before, Anaa is not the kind of drama you overanalyze therefore I am not going to do that but Altamash’s complete ignorance (considering the media was somehow covering this story – but why?!!) was not the least bit convincing. Other than that, this episode was fast paced and it showed that some of the characters deep down are still the same people they were in the beginning. Some of these characters are paying for the wrong decisions they took and others are merely playing in the hands of those who want to take revenge.
What I really like about this story is that everyone is fully responsible in some way or the other for the decisions they have taken and no one can really say that these relationships were forced on them. Most often in our dramas there is more focus on society and family but in this play there is more focus on each individual, which in my opinion is a mature approach.
Areesh has gone from falling in love with Anya to feeling cheated and betrayed. It is almost as if he feels like he has a ticket now to do whatever he wishes just because Anya hid something about her past. Areesh’s extreme actions and his short term planning is completely in line with his character. He has proven yet again that he cannot be trusted but Daneen is madly in love and cannot see that. Few weeks back, Daneen was trying to bring Areesh and Anya together but now that she has seen what Saif is capable of and after being abandoned by her family, Areesh it seems is the only escape. She wants to start over without thinking of the repercussions. In the previous few episodes it seemed like Daneen knew better now but once she found out that she will never be able to win Saif over, she was back to being her rebellious old self.
Nazia played a major role in getting the message across and Areesh like always, changed his mind a little too easily. Areesh easily passes as one of the most irresponsible male leads we have seen in dramas this year. Although there isn’t anything remotely likable about Areesh but his character has been etched-out nicely and Shehzad Sheikh’s performance couldn’t have been better.
Daneen and Anya are two characters which are paying for their wrong decisions therefore although you feel for them but they don’t entirely come across as victims. Daneen got married to Saif because she wanted to make Areesh jealous therefore she has no one else to blame but herself. Same is true for Anya, she chose to marry a man who she knew did not love her and didn’t tell him the ‘secret’ even though she knew that she should have. That does not justify what is happening to these characters or how their husbands are treating them but by writing their tracks in such a way, the writer successfully avoided a few clichés. Hania Aamir’s portrayal has been brilliant throughout, I absolutely love how she owns the reckless element of Daneen’s personality in particular. Areeba Shahood has done justice to her character but the fact that Anya is a complete doormat makes her character less appealing.
After finding out that the Shergarh family didn’t have the financial edge any more and Izza needed to get married to someone rich and influential in order to get that edge, Nazia changed her plan altogether. She went back to her husband so that she could somehow convince Izza to get married to Altamash. It was good to see that her husband guessed that she had an ulterior motive. Tara Mehmood has played her role superbly, she makes you hate her character more with every passing episode. Farhan Ali Agha is extremely likable as the docile and loving husband. Izza ignored her mother because she is obviously really mad at her.
Altamash is finally showing interest in Izza like never before but now the situation is such that Izza is too embarrassed and ashamed to talk to him even. Altamash’s complete ignorance in this episode made absolutely no sense considering he is back in Pakistan. Surely a man like him is really well connected and in touch with media personnel. Naimal Khawar and Usman Mukhtar’s performances however continue to be solid. Kabir bhai keeps you guessing since he can be quite unreasonable at times. Shamil Khan has performed really well too in a negative role.
The story has picked up pace and it seems that things will only get worse before they get better. It is impossible to predict what turn different tracks will take. Hopefully Daneen will meet Anya at some point and she will make a good decision for Areesh since he can never take one on his own. Waiting to find out what turn the story takes now.
HUM is going overboard trying to promote Superstar. Showing an entire song from the film more than 10 times in a day and showing tickers throughout the day is awfully annoying.

Pakistani Celebrities at Lux Style Awards 2019 –
Lux Style Awards is one of the biggest award shows of the Pakistani fashion and entertainment industry. All the stars prepare to look their best on this special day by making sure that their outfits and overall look matches the grandeur of the occasion. This year all the top celebrities were seen looking absolutely stunning on the event.
Some of these celebrities even wore more than one outfit on this occasion. Saba Qamar and Yasir Hussein were few such celebrities who kept on changing their outfits and looks throughout. Like other years, this year too the female celebrities preferred gowns and dresses over other while the men experimented with their outfits too by adding different patterns on their jackets.

After months of speculations, the relationship between Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz has finally become official, and that too in front of the whole world live on Lux Style Awards. In a real life lights, camera and action moment, Iqra said yes to his romantic prompting and the two embraced and hugged and kissed lovingly.
This came as a bit of a surprise since recently Yasir Hussain said on air to Waseem Badami that he is just friends with Iqra. That caused an uproar on social media since the rumor about their alleged relationship had spread far and wide already.
Well, Yasir has now put an official end to all the controversies and proposed Iqra from the stage of Lux Style Awards, saying that since she has already won two awards, he would like to present her with a third. Iqra had started looking embarrassed by then, giving clues that she had an idea about what was following. Yasir then got on his knees, presented her with an engagement ring and proposed her as all the eyes and cameras were fixed on the glamorous couple. Iqra said yes to his proposal and was hugged by Yasir like there is no tomorrow. With this recent episode the story moved forward quite a bit and overall tonight’s episode was quite interesting. Nagina’s will to go on and her decision to choose life over death revealed a stronger side of her character. The relationships between all the characters were further established in this episode. Sitara Jahan started questioning her sister’s behavior for a change and Dildar begum felt she was in a better position now therefore she started revealing her true colors. Tonight’s episode yet again gave me Aangan vibes; Feroza’s end, her son and especially the way this play has been directed. Having said that, so far this play is relatively more engaging and hopefully the writer’s grip on the story will continue to be strong. The screenplay however can be dodgy at times, the narration in the background and the way in which some of the scenes have been put together disrupts the overall flow of the story. Nagina’s character continues to be the most appealing aspect of this play.
Tonight’s episode opened with the news of Faiz Ali’s death and thankfully the mourning period was not given a lot of screen time. Mohsin Abbas Haider’s impactful performance left a lasting impression. Faiz Ali is going to be missed! He made the viewers believe in Faiz Ali’s love for Nagina which is why feeling her loss was easy.
Dildar begum’s character so far is one-dimensional, she is the evil sister who can’t see Sitara Jahan happy but it was good to see Sitara Jahan noticing this negative streak in her for a change. Sitara Jahan is simple and has a good heart. Her reactions are usually subtle and she doesn’t share much with people around her. She is also quick to move on. The most refreshing element of this episode was watching Sitara Jahan stand by her daughter and granddaughters like a rock. The warmth in this house is completely opposite to the negativity in the other one. Even though Sitara was shaken after Feroza eloped but she too has found her happiness in Gaiti and Sandal. I found the difference in the personalities of the these young girls stereotypical since we have seen such sisters with opposite personalities in so many dramas. I hope that their relationship will not be like that of Dildar and Sitara. Gaiti it seems is a lot like Feroza and Sandal is just as careless as Nagina was when she was young.
Nagina has come a long way. She is no longer the careless young lady who found it impossible to do the simplest things. Watching her grow as a person has been the best part of all these episodes. Nausheen Shah has performed exceptionally well and the way she has translated this character on screen is one of the main reasons why it continues to be appealing. Shaama’s loyalty and love for this family is another heart-warming element of this house. Even Ustaad Faraghat’s scene with Gaiti tonight was really sweet. Few of the scenes also showed how people respected Sitara and her family.
Feroza’s track ended tonight and I must say that instead of showing this particular track in such a hurried manner, it would have been better if the information came from a third person. Also, the actors involved (the husband and the mother-in-law) gave average performances which made this entire scenario look staged.
Izhar and Islam’s track was the same except for the fact that Islam was the one who brought Feroza’s son to Sitara. I have a feeling that Izhar’s daughter might have a bigger role to play in the story since she has been getting so much screen time.
Deewar-e-Shab’s story it seems is going to be quite detailed, it remains to be seen if the makers of this drama will be able to avoid the mistakes the director, writer and the producer of Aangan made. This episode was decent enough, the dialogues were well written and the leading actors gave solid performances. Looking forward to the next episode.

This drama comes with a big warning, it is yet another period drama by HUM after Aangan and this one too has the same filmy feel to it. The actual story will revolve around the future generations and right now the viewers are getting to see what would be the backstory of these characters. Deewar-e-Shab so far is the story of relationships and deceit with a different setting. The first two episodes did not work for me at all but with episode 3 and 4 the story started taking shape. Some of the scenarios have been quite filmy and fairytale like. Nagina (Nausheen Shah) and Faiz Ali’s (Mohsin Abbas Haider) track piqued my interest therefore here I am reviewing a drama which I am hoping will not disappoint the way Aangan did. So far, the story is all over the place and the side tracks keep you guessing.
Bushra Ansari (Sitara Jahan) plays the role of the head of the family which consists of two daughters Nagina (Nausheen Shah) and Feroza (Zara Noor Abbas). Nagina is the careless one and Feroza is the perfect daughter Sitara Jahan has invested in, so that she can play a more active role in the ‘family business’. Although Feroza is essentially someone who dances to earn a living but she is highly educated and well-mannered. Zara Noor Abbas’ portrayal was like Sonya Hussyn’s in drama serial Aangan – filmy to the core! Both the actresses clearly were asked to take major inspiration from Ashwarya Rai’s character in Devdas. The confidence with which Zara Noor Abbas faces the camera is impressive but why do we have to copy actresses from across the border? I am certain they could have pulled this off without ‘copying’ so blatantly; the sets, looks and the performance. Feroza runs away from home, just like Sonya’s character from Aangan, breaking her mother’s heart and trust.
Nagina’s role after Feroza runs away has been the most pleasant aspect of all the developments so far. Nagina tries her best to look after her mother and also accepts small roles in films to help her mother financially. Nagina ends up getting married to Faiz Ali, a man she never loved, just because her mother is too scared of losing her as well. I absolutely loved the episode covering Nagina and Faiz Ali’s bond, it was the highlight of this drama, so far. The way Nagina falls in love with Faiz Ali and the manner in which he shows her love was fabulous. I was hoping to see more of Mohsin Abbas Haider but found out later that he is only playing a cameo in the drama. Nausheen Shah’s nuanced performance has stood out more than any other till now.
Dildar Begum (Asma Abbas) is Sitara Jahan’s sister who is constantly shown stabbing her sister in the back. Sitara Jahan has no idea that her sister is so jealous of her. Asma Abbas tends to go overboard whenever she is playing a negative character and in this drama too she is giving me those evil vibes which you get from such characters in fairytales! The overall get-up of both the sisters is as over the top as it gets. Bushra Ansari has carried her character with grace but her overall appearance doesn’t go well with how graceful her character is. I am wondering if Dildar begum had something to do with the accident.
Syed Muhammad Ahmed plays the role of Ustaad Faraghat Baig who has helped Sitara Jahan bring up the girls and run the business. Unlike Sitara, he can see that Dildar begum is upto no good but has little say since Sitara ultimately does whatever she wants. Syed Muhammad Ahmed is a brilliant actor and he fits this role well but the wig on his head is nothing but a distraction.
The side track involving Izhaar (Saleem Miraj), Shakra (Shaheen Khan) and others so far is focusing on one thing more than any other which is Izhaar’s income. I am waiting to find out where this track ultimately leads and how it will be connected to the main track.
Deewar-e-Shab’s actual story hasn’t really started therefore I am waiting to see what this drama has to offer in the upcoming weeks. Right now, I am more interested in Nagina’s track than any other. We will find out tonight if Faiz Ali will survive the accident or not and if he doesn’t, how will Nagina raise her daughters alone? It is highly likely that he will die and that is when this family will be in deep waters.

Ohkay so, this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb was strictly alright. I now feel that the real story will actually kick start when Sameer & Gauhar’s path will cross because so far what we’re seeing isn’t something new & doesn’t have much of a wow factor. No doubt about the fact that the director’s approach towards each & every scenario is different but it boils down to the point that we have seen all of this before & the only new aspect is Sameer’s split personality, so I am sure that is going to be quite an interesting thing to see & explore.
Gauhar’s brother Saleem accepted Jahangir’s proposal for her. Even though everyone in the family was not convinced, not even Gauhar’s parents but Saleem basically saw this as a financial deal because it was giving him the freedom from the debt of Qayyum & he availed it. Jahangir is quite a character & even he lives in a bubble just like Gauhar to actually think that he is someone super special, a sought-after bachelor sorts. Jahangir’s scenes provide some sort of comic relief but I am not sure if that’s the right kind of mood that this story in general requires.
Bushra wanted to make sure that Gauhar gets to be with Kashif that is why she asked them to get done with the Nikkah. Bushra’s main motive was to unite Gauhar & Kashif but then part of her was ready to face the brunt of having her wedding called off because being a practical person that she is, she kind of had an idea that Kamran wasn’t emotionally or mentally strong enough to stand by her side. Bushra was taking the risk which would’ve cost her wedding, but she was fine by it as far as it meant seeing Gauhar happy with Kashif.
Kashif was ready to get married to Gauhar because he has loved her with all his heart but then he couldn’t really take his mind off the fact that he had a responsibility of his sisters & he was their guardian. Gauhar also couldn’t bring herself to be selfish especially when she has seen Bushra being selfless & kind to Gauhar all her life. Gauhar accepted Jahangir’s proposal & Bushra also couldn’t get in touch with Kashif. This was something that kind of left both Kashif & Gauhar in the dark, they both felt guilty but they both still didn’t know that they backed out & didn’t fulfil their promise. Kashif didn’t come because he decided he couldn’t turn his back on his family & Gauhar didn’t either as she didn’t want Bushra to go through the humiliation of having her wedding called off. It was good that they both just didn’t find out the reasons behind their decisions but then, they were on the same page. May be later in life they will find out the truth but for now, they will continue to blame themselves for breaking the promise.
Overall, this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb didn’t really do much. I am now eagerly waiting to see how the story will unfold once Gauhar & Sameer will come in each other’s lives because I am sure that’s when the fireworks will happen. I think I will get to form an opinion about Sameera/Yumna once the true identity of this character will be revealed but for now, she looks strange but rightly so because that’s what this entity is all about. Sonya Hussyn, Sami Khan & Jinaan Hussain have been brilliant. Khalid Malik is doing a wonderful job as Jahangir too. I wish the story kick-starts soon because so far, it’s hmmm…alright. However, the dialogues in this episode were really nice. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb.

Beautiful Family Javeria & Saud Enjoying with Kids in USA
It is that time of the year when people get a break from their hectic routines and get to spend quality time with their families. Pakistani celebrities always make good use of their days off and spend them in the best manner possible with their family.

Ohkay so, this episode of Meer Abru was tragic. Even though it is a known fact that in the end Meer & Abru will end up together but to see Abru losing such a loving husband was heart breaking. The pace, the direction & everything about this drama is spot on & I am glad we’re getting to see such a drama that has so much to offer in terms of emotions & the ups & downs that the characters go through.
Abru had accepted Saim as her life partner long time ago but slowly she fell in love with him. Saim was a perfect husband to Abru because he not only accepted or loved her, he trusted her. The kind of relationship Abru & Saim shared showed what a faith & trust put by a husband can do for the wife. Abru did love Meer but she got to see how his mistrust in her left her shattered but then came Saim who made her realize that she was trustworthy & worth his love. Abru loved Saim & she was finally at a happy place. Saim & Abru were now going to be together because their relationship underwent another trial but they came out of it stronger but unfortunately, fate had something else in store for them.
Saim could not survive the accident & as tragic as it was, I kind of liked seeing the flashbacks of Abru & Saim because even though Meer was putting Saim through a lot, Abru made Saim feel loved. It was nice to see that before Saim left, Abru got to share all of her feelings & emotions with him where she told him repeatedly that she loved him & that he meant so much to her.
Meer was broken & shattered but more than that, he was guilt-stricken because he knew exactly what he had said to Saim & how hurtful it was. At least Saim’s departure made Meer admit & acknowledge in front of Waleed that he was responsible for what the entire family was going through. Waleed was furious & he let his hatred for Abru cloud his judgement & hold her responsible for all that Saim was going through but Meer’s confession also left him confused.
Saim passed away & even though Saira & the rest of them were trying hard to help Abru in this difficult time, Zaibi took it as a golden opportunity to throw Abru out of her house. It was unfortunate that in this day & age, Abru was being labelled as the reason behind Saim’s death but then, no matter what Abru will say or do, Waleed & Zaibi will not let go of their ill feelings towards her. I am liking the change in Saira’s attitude where she doesn’t stay silent anymore & always is the voice of reason. Saira is not just a spectator anymore, she knows how to take a stand & put forth her opinion, both nicely & sternly. I liked how she gave it back to Zaibi but then, Zaibi was bent on sending Abru to her father’s house!
Saim’s character will be missed for sure. It was refreshing to see such a positive character on screen especially of such kind of a husband who was so supportive of his wife & loved her against all odds. Meer will have to do a lot to redeem himself but I am glad this guilt will weigh heavy on his heart that he hurt Saim the most when he was alive & he caused him so much distress in the last days of his life. Not liking Meer’s character at the moment. He needs to sort his mental mess now!
Overall, these episodes of Meer Abru were very emotional & heart-breaking. I know this has been the trend that our drama makers are following for quite a while now but I find it funny that everyone finds that perfect white suit in our dramas to wear while mourning the loss of their loved ones, so unnecessary I must say. I hope after that scene Mirza Zain Baig wasn’t left with a strained neck because Noor Hassan kept on shaking him so bad during Saim’s death scene. All the actors portrayed their emotions brilliantly. The direction of this drama & the acting has been one of the best we have seen in recent times. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Meer Abru.
