After a long wait, the teaser for Hamza Ali Abbasi starrer Parwaaz Hai Junoon is finally out. Parwaaz Hai Junoon is a tribute to Pakistan Airforce. One of the big budget movies releasing this Eid ul Adha, the Hamza Ali Abbasi starrer Parwaaz Hai Junoon is reportedly getting delayed again. The film was due to release on Eid ul Fitr but was postponed to this Eid. With promotions in full swing, people were confused when the premiere of the film was delayed. The statement by Rafay Rashdi stated unavoidable circumstances for the decision:

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, we are canceling today’s premiere event. All other events and release date of the film remains unchanged. We will be releasing a statement shortly.”

Soon after the news came out that the release of the film has been held by the Central Censor Board due to scenes which allegedly vilify Pakhtoons. PHJ has however been cleared by Sindh and Punjab Censor Boards. This was being considered as the reason for the film to get postponed again.

One of the lead actors Ahad Raza Mir has denied the rumours of the delay though:

The film is a Momina Duraid production and it has been directed by Haseeb Hassan and this will be his film directional debut. It is written by Farhat Ishtiaq.

The famous poet of Urdu literature Parveen Shakir does not need any introduction. The romantic poet belonged to a literary family. She was involved in teaching and later took a government job after passing the civil service exam.

Parveen Shakir died on December 26, 1994 in a traffic accident. He had only one son named Murad.
At the time of Parveen Shakir’s death, Murad was just 15 years old while he was an O level student. “I still remember the morning of December 26, when my mother had an accident and she was separated from me forever,” said Murad.

He said that “It was raining and my mother got ready as usual and went to the office. About nine-thirty the phone rang and someone told that your mother had had an accident. Then I immediately called my mother’s close friend Parveen Qadir Agha who also came to the hospital.”

Murad says it was raining that day and the traffic signals were not working and the bus hit her car. On arrival at the hospital, I was told that when she (Parveen Shakir) was brought, the pulse was beating but then her death was announced. Murad, son of Parveen Shakir, said that he used to be very picky about food but his mother always cooked the food of his choice. My mother wanted me to become a doctor, she always told me to be a doctor and also a neurosurgeon, which is a strict type of education, you have to do that, she insisted. Murad mentioned that he miss her mother a lot on different occasions and festivals.

Parenting is one of the most difficult tasks a person takes up in his/her life. Bringing a new life into this world and then teaching them right from wrong is not an easy job. Bringing up sons in a country like Pakistan where patriarchy is rampant is also very difficult. Boys learn from society that they are not truly accountable for a lot of things and it becomes the parents’ job to educate them rightly. Parveen Akbar is a veteran actress and she is a mom to three sons and one daughter. Her son Faizan Sheikh is also a star and he is known for his humility and professionalism.

As the mother-son duo came as guests on Samaa’s morning show, Parveen shared tips on parenting sons. She shared that keeping an eye on your sons is important. You should know who their friends are and there should be boundaries drawn for them. She also shared that she was very strict with her sons after they were a certain age. She added that her sons do not smoke while all their friends smoke as she kept a tight leash on what they can do and what will not be tolerated.
