Vasay Chaudhry is a big name in the Pakistani entertainment industry. He is a writer, host and actor and he excelled in all the fields. Vasay Chaudhry is also among a few writers who have given not only hit dramas but hit films. His Jawani Phir Nahi Aani series have been some of the biggest hits of their time till now. Vasay was a guest on Ahmad Ali Butt’s podcast and shared some of his views.

Vasay talked about similarities between Pakistani and Indian films. He said that both the industries came out of a joint India in 1947 thus Pakistani films are an extension of Indian films. There is no copying from Bollywood as we have the same film culture as India. We have the same song styles, the same dancing and the same type of songs that Indians now call item numbers.

We have copied the concepts from India and implemented them here but Viewer’s Choice is “Bakwaas”. He added that it should be the right of peers and experts in the industry to award projects and everything should not become a race for ratings.

Vasay is also against inviting bloggers for film previews. He said that they come and watch the film for free and still badmouth it. What are the makers getting out of it? He pointed out that many times the hype that is created on social media makes the makers happy but honestly it is all false as the film still does not work.

Controversies are a part of any celebrity’s life. There are always stories regarding them in media as long as they are successful in their profession. These days being present in the news and trending on social media is important to stay in the game. There are many celebrities who go through these public controversies and Hira-Mani is one couple who goes through them quite a lot.

Mazaqraat is a Dunya TV’s political satire show which started airing years ago. It initially began with Nauman Ijaz as a host, Mohsin Abbas Haider as DJ and the other comedians as co-hosts. After few years, Vasay Chaudhary took the charge as the host and made the show hit because of his humourous hosting style. Last year, the show ran into a controversy when the comedian Qaiser Pia made a joke on overseas Pakistanis and it went against Mazaaqraat team. Vasay Chaudhary and the team then switched the channel and are successfully doing Gup Shab on Samaa Tv. Imran Ashraf is now doing Mazaaqraat Season 2 on Dunys TV.

Well, recently the former Mazaqraat host Vasay Chaudhary was the guest on Public Tv’s Show Public Demand, hosted by Mohsin Abbas Haider.

In the show, he replied to a question about Imran Ashraf hosting the show Mazaaqraat. To the question, “Imran Ashraf is currently hosting the show Mazaaqraat, how will you rate his hosting?”. He replied, “I haven’t seen any of his show so far, so I can’t give my opinion on it. Vasay Chaudhary is one of the most creative people in Pakistan. He is a screenwriter, actor, director, producer, host, and comedian. He is best known for writing sitcoms and comedy-dramas for Pakistani televisions.

Bollywood loves stealing Pakistani music and storylines without ever giving any credits or taking permission. They do not want Pakistani artists to work there but Pakistani content is allowed to be screened. The latest controversy was Nach Punjaban by Abrar ul Haq getting featured in Varun Dhawan starrer Jug Jugg Jeeyo.

Abrar ul Haq said that he has not given the copyrights of his song to the production house and promised legal action against them. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s production house who maintained that they have indeed bought the rights to the song. They however, ended up crediting Abrar ul Haq for the song.

Varun Dhawan has now ended up thanking Abrar ul Haq for the song. He said that the song is very good but maintained that there production company did buy the rights for it. He further said that the song is doing well for them as the original had done before it.

People are still criticizing the team of the film for plagiarism and want to know what actually went down with the rights:

Mahira Khan recently shared her experience of working with Afghan Refugees in Karachi in collaboration with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)., the Raees starlet took to social media and shared one of the cutest stories,

“These two boys followed me around the whole time. They hadn’t watched any of my films but they insisted they knew someone called Raja. They said ‘Raja hero hai!’. We kept trying to guess who they are talking about.”

An unfortunate incident happened in Islamabad where three young girls passed away in a car accident. The car plunged in a ditch on the road which resulted in the death of three girls including Vaneeza Ahmed’s daughter Esha.

Two of the girls’ other friends who were sitting in the front seats got severely injured and are in the hospital since then.

Vaneeza Ahmed has been devastated at the news and posted about the girl’s burial on her Instagram:

Lux Style Awards 2017 was directed by the talented Hassan Shehryar Yaseen last year but with the nominations out for this year, it was revealed that the celebrated designer will not be setting the stage this year. The development was said to be occurred because of budget cuts for the show. The latest news is that the ceremony which will be held in Lahore this February will be directed by none other than the former model and now choreographer Vaneeza Ahmed.

Before HSY, the event used to be handled by Freiha Altaf who will be conducting two segments of the show according to the news. She will be putting forward the opening and finale and will launch her movement about protecting human rights. Lux Style Awards 2019, one of the most popular award functions were aired on Geo Entertainment on August 6, 2019. Now that they have aired, the speculations are put to rest and the viewers can enjoy watching the awards. Arranging award function is a mammoth task and to coordinate and rehearse with all the celebrities is another added responsibility. Where the organizers did a great job, it was also the responsibility of the celebrities to do their homework as well. Lux Style Awards 2019 is now going to stay in the news for all those good and bad moments that will keep on getting noticed.

One such moment belonged to Uzma Khan. Ahmed Ali Butt and his Jawani Phir Nahi Ani co-star Uzma Khan graced the stage to announce the winners of Best TV Actress and Actor of Viewers Choice. Ahmed Ali Butt cracked some jokes and began their segment on a high note. They announced the award that Iqra Aziz won for Suno Chanda and the crowd was pleased with the way things were being carried out.

Feroze Khan won the award for Best TV Actor Viewer’s Choice, but he also won the respect of the audience when he brought veteran actor Qavi Khan with him and dedicated his award to him. Qavi Khan was also one of the nominees for his role in drama serial Aangan (Ary Digital).

The whole Uzma Khan controversy has taken the internet by the storm. We all have witnessed different sides of the story and now Uzma Khan and her sister Huma Khan have come forward and clarified everything in an interview.

Uzma Khan and Huma Khan were both the victims in this case and they were threatened and beaten by Usman Malik’s wife and her guards.

Uzma Khan said, “It happened on Chand Raat and I was sitting in Itikaf, at 10:30 my sister knocked on my door and I came out and sit with her. At that time, Usman was there to congratulate me so I said to him ‘I am going to my friend’s house as she has hosted a dinner for me’. Usman insisted me to sit for five minutes and within ten minutes guards entered by breaking my doors and women came inside and beat us.”

“All of this kept happening for more than an hour. I kept begging from these women but nobody listened to me.”

She requested and said, “It’s my request from the government and local police that please register my FIR and give me justice. I am not able to show my face anywhere they had insulted me in front of the whole world.  It’s my request from Malik Riaz that his daughters had done this and I want justice. I will request the army, police, and the government to give me justice.”

She further added, “My life and my sister’s life is at stake and if anything happened with us they are the ones who will do. Some of my friends are posting on social media and they have asked me to share the video. They are standing with me.”

Huma Khan came forward and said, “Their women had no shame when they beat us they didn’t see my foot was bleeding and I kept them saying ‘my foot is bleeding’ but they didn’t stop and kept beating me. Riaz Malik’s three sisters locked my sister in a room and beat her badly. They ruined our house too and they had guns too.”

Whether the news circulating on media is false or based on true claims, we have no idea.We cannot ascertain the fact based on only one side of the story and considering how this world can furnish fake proofs, there is absolutely nothing that can be trusted. The same rings true for Uzma Khan and her sister Huma Khan, who made a lot of hue and cry on media after a video of them being beaten and thrashed by Amna Usman Malik went viral.

Both Uzma and her sister had stated that they would fight against the system and stand by with their truth of having been assaulted in their own house. Their lawyers also made a lot of noise on social media, calling out the authorities to register an FIR and deliver justice against the elite class. Uzma had also done a press conference stating her life was at risk.

However, everything has gone down the drain as Uzma Khan herself surrendered her fight against a hefty monetary settlement as is being reported.

According to the copy of the settlement document that has gone viral, Uzma Khan’s sister Huma Khan took back the FIR stating everything had been a misunderstanding and no voilence had occured against them.

The clause states that “My sister Uzma Khan registered an instant FIR due to misunderstanding.” It also states that the injuries both sisters sustained were because of broken glass at their house.”

Owing to the out of court settlement Uzma Khan’s legal counsel and lawyer Khadijah Abbas and Hassan Niazi both issued statements about disassociating themselves from the case.

Uzma and her sister had made a big hue and cry regarding the issue. Uzma had also gone on record to request the higher authorities and even the PM Imran Khan to help them obtain justice in their case.

Uzma Hassan is a talent powerhouse. Seeing her in a project suddenly makes you feel it will be a good project. Uzma has done great projects in her career and she has once again killed it with her role in the recent blockbuster Khaie. She is beautiful, graceful and poised and she speaks her mind unapologetically.

She was a guest on Fuchsia and she talked about losing her parents. She shared that as a child she was closer to her father as he was the leninet parent while her mom was the strict one. After her father passed away, a loss she still remembers as fresh as the day it happened, her mother said that she accepts her as she is as she loves her so much. She grew closer to her mom after that and she made her happy till the day she passed away. She also revealed how her mother went through different health scares before passing away due to cancer which could not get diagnosed early on.

She now lives in Lahore alone as her parents have passed away and her brothers live abroad. She said that living alone is not an easy feat. Managing your work, career, yourself, the household, bills and repairs is not an easy feat and she salutes anyone who does that.

She also revealed that you cannot rent a place if you are a lone woman in Pakistan especially in Lahore, the place she knows about. She said that it is a crusade to do that or you need to ask someone to vouch for you or you can get the place in their name. Here is what she talked about:

Uzma is single and she talked about how society treats you if you are a single woman. She said that they will make you feel bad about yourself if you are single. Uzma added that you should always marry for the right reasons and she would like to be married to the right person one day. But people will make sure that you feel miserable however they can.
