Mental health is a serious issue but in our society, it’s still a taboo topic. Many among us are suffering silently from depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

Many celebrities have been suffering from it. Some are suffering silently but some of them came forward and shared with the people. Mawra Hocane came forward to talk about her anxiety and how she has managed to cope with it in the past year.

Mawra took to Instagram and shared, “We all have our days of weakness & breakdowns, I am lucky my job allows me to express my grief on screen. It’s been over a year since I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety & I’m no longer embarrassed by it. It’s a part of me like the sky is blue but I’m definitely better equipped to deal with it as I’m growing with it & beginning to understand it.”

Mawra shared how she cope with her anxiety and said, “I don’t run away from my friends & family when I’m having a panic attack I share with them & I feel I’m stronger than my condition. I’m putting this out because I want all of you who fight anxiety every day to be okay with it & not be ashamed of it.”

Mawra went for therapy in Sydney which helped her a lot. “I went to a therapist in Sydney at the end of 2018 who told me that even though certain deficiencies contribute to my anxiety, it gets worse because I’m fearful of it. I decided that day to no longer be afraid of it or hide it from anybody at all.”

Mawra concluded her story and wrote, “In 2020 I can easily identify when my body starts to feel anxiety & more often than not I’m able to control it without any help. I drink a lot of water & I pray. Anybody reading this can have their own method or seek help from a therapist or a family member. Having said that I want to tell you that even if you break down, you’re brave, even if you cry you’re not weak. Whoever you are I want you to know that every new day will be a better day. InshAllah.”

The Daasi actress also thanked her co-star Adeel Hussain for supporting her throughout her journey.

#MeToo movement sprung last year from Hollywood and spread throughout the world with women coming forward and naming those who had abused and harassed them sexually for the first time. In India, the #MeToo movement wrecked a havoc with famous celebrities like Nana Patekar and Sajid Khan being accused of harassing multiple women.

In Pakistan, singer Meesha Shafi came out and opened up about being harassed by singer Ali Zafar under the #MeToo movement. Every celebrity shared their thoughts and perceptions about this significant movement giving women, around the world, courage to name their perpetrators.

Recently, during a talk show with Ahsan Khan, actress Ayesha Omar too shared her two cents about the #MeToo movement.

“This movement is extremely important because it is so tough to talk about it for people who they go through any kind of harassment or abuse in their life. There are so many men and women in our own industry who have been through it,” said Ayesha.

She talked about the need to give coverage to stories of popular figures because it empowers other victims to come out with theirs.

“Right now we are talking about people who are a little known because they usually get noticed. If an average person makes claims, not many people will talk about it,” said Ayesha adding that the timing when the person opened up wasn’t important but rather opening up was.

Talking about her personal incident of being harassed, Ayesha shared, “Because I have been through harassment in my life and career, I understand how it feels. I don’t have the courage to talk about it yet, maybe someday I will but I can totally relate to everybody who has been through it.”

Sarmad Khoosat’s upcoming and highly anticipated film, Zindagi Tamasha, finally has a release date. The film, after creating storms internationally, at the Busan International film festival, will finally be releasing in Pakistan on the 24th of January.

Directed by Sarmad Khoosat himself, Zindagi Tamasha is based on a script by Nirmal Bano and has been co-produced by Khoosat and his sister Kanwal.

Revolving around the life of a religious cleric whose secret video goes viral causing an upheaval in his life, Zindagi Tamasha stars Arif Hassan, Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleman and Ali Qureshi in pivotal roles. The soundtrack of the film has been composed by Lux Style Award winners, Saakin.

Recently, Zindagi Tamasha’s trailer was removed from YouTube which caused quite a stir of controversies. Sarmad Khoosat himself took to his social media to explain why the trailer was taken down and when it could be seen again.

“Khoosat Films took down the trailer from YouTube themselves. A trailer is just a tiny part of the entire film, there’s no context so a few people had some issues regarding the content of that clip and we took that into account. After minor tweaks, we’ll reupload it soon enough,” stated Sarmad.

So episode 21 of Meray Pass Tum Ho brought another exciting surprise for the audience. This time, it wasn’t Danish who proposed to Ms. Hania or told her that he wanted to ask her to marry him, but instead it turned out to be Roomi, Danish and Mehwish’s son, who went ahead and formally proposed to Hania instead of his father.

Iqra Aziz and Ahmed Ali Butt are coming together as a couple in the upcoming drama ‘Jhooti’. Ahmed Ali Butt is a shop owner while Iqra Aziz is his wife. Iqra Aziz will be playing the role of a liar woman throughout the drama.

Ahmed Ali Butt will play the role of a serious man and the story revolves around his depressing life including his family and compulsive liar wife.

Yasir Hussain is also part of this project. This is the first time Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are going to share the screen.

Well, The first look of Jhooti was released in which Iqra Aziz was faking domestic abuse. The promo is going viral and people are criticizing the producers and actors of the show for trivializing the sensitive matter.

While other people had different views for ‘Jhooti’. People also believe that we are judging just by having a look at the promo and social media should wait for the drama to be released.

Everyone judged and compared the ahad raza mir and sajal YMD to 50 shades of grey and normalising office harassment just from a teaser, now again this drama is being judged that its againts saying no to domestic abuse.
