Fawad Khan seems to be enjoying doing some small projects in Pakistan. He is not shooting for the films he has signed yet but we have recently seen him the Tapal commercial and now he is also seen endorsing the brand Republic. There are billboards everywhere in which we can see Fawad Khan because Pakistanis love him and anything that he promotes gets popular without any doubt. Fawad Khan has been busy in India but now that we are seeing him in advertisements and promoting brands hopefully we will see him on television too. Fawad Khan has always said that he is an introvert by nature so he avoids being seen in public and giving interviews as much as he can. He however had to overcome his introvert nature when he was busy promoting his film in India because you cannot refuse to promote a film you are playing a lead role in. Fawad Khan has signed four films in Pakistan. He will also be seen making a guest appearance in the film Ho Mann Jahan.
Here are some pictures from Fawad Khan’s latest photo shoot.
Fawad Khan looking too good in his new look in the song Bulleya from the Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. As fawad is playing a cameo role in the film, he can also be spotted in the video of the song Bulleya, where he is looking full of intense feelings complemented with his changed look, a new hair style and more grown up beard.
Pakistan’s heartthrob has launched a platform named “The Next Big Story”. It is basically a competition for aspiring content writers to motivate them and give them recognition for their work.
Fawad Khan shared that in order to find talented writers and their work, first, we need to have a script-writing competition. In the first part, the scriptwriters will submit a synopsis of their stories and the winners will then write full screenplays. The winning screenplay will get a chance to get their film produced by Fawad Khan’s production house, Alteridon Films.
Fawad said: “It’s never been a better time to be a writer – or to aspire to become one. With the rise of our local cinema along with immense opportunities in global digital cinema, we feel there needs to be a platform for aspiring scriptwriters. This will not only help them break into the industry but will also provide them with a place that will recognize them and help them overcome some of the challenges in content writing.”
“For years we have been hearing about problems film industry professionals encounter in finding the right stories and interesting scriptwriters to work with. At the same time, scriptwriters don’t know where to go and whom to contact to present their work. That is why we bring to you The Next Big Story,” Fawad added further.

He joined twitter very late unlike many other celebrities who are constantly keeping their fans informed about their projects through twitter. Fawad Khan still does not have a page on facebook but he has finally decided to join instagram.
Fawad Khan’s first instagram post was not a shot from his upcoming project or one from a photo shoot but he posted this:

Meera, the uncrowned queen of controversies, seems disappointed in the sub-continental heartthrob Fawad Khan.
She complained that Fawad Khan has never shown an ounce of respect towards the senior actors of Pakistani Entertainment Industry. She pointed out her behaviour towards her senior actors when she was younger saying, “When we were new to the industry, our seniors — legends such as Shamim Ara, Babra Sharif, Mahesh Bhatt and Subhash Ghai — taught us to go and acknowledge older actors.”
She doesn’t seem happy with entire generation of young actors saying, “Today’s young actors haven’t done much work but they still consider themselves to be superstars. They may have strong followings on social media or they may have acted in a few movies but they are yet to build a body of work for themselves.”
Further talking about respecting senior artists to ‘Daily Pakistan’, the masala queen made a statement in regards to Fawad Khan saying, “Fawad Khan is a good actor but is very disrespectful. He has never come up to me and said salaam to me. I am a senior, I have won many awards and worked in 155 films and 15 TV serials. And yet, I have appreciated his work. Why can’t he reciprocate by at least greeting me? He has never approached me and said ‘Meera, let’s work on a project together for Pakistan.’ These attitude problems need to be corrected.”
She should know that the young Sheheryar Munawar recently declared his love for her and also desired to work with her in the future! How’s that for a good, respectful actor of this generation, Meera Ji?

He said while talking about the concept of India and Pakistan being rivals and as a result him having any trouble in India , “A lot of us are brought up with these kinds of stigmas where there’s an enemy across the border but you’ll be surprised — Indians are coming over to Pakistan and Pakistanis are going over to India.”
He is also highly impressed by the hospitable nature of the people in India. He said, “The hospitality is something to write about. It’s amazing. You feel at home.”
Talking about his experience of working in the entertainment industry in Pakistan he said, “Everything is a gamble, every project that I attempt, even back in Pakistan is a gamble, and popularity is not something that’s going to stick with you for the rest of your life.”
Fawad Khan has reached new heights of fame with his work not only in Pakistan but also in India. He is one of those very few Pakistani actors who got so much fame and recognition across the border. He is all set to star in a rom-com opposite Vaani Kapoor in a film that will be shot entirely in the UK. Vaani Kapor has featured in films like Befikre, War and Chandigar Kare Aashiqui.

Fawad Khan is constantly sharing his gratitude on his twitter page. The young actor made a twitter account only recently because he thought that it was important to stay in touch with his fans.

Fawad Khan is missing from our screens for too long now. He is seen here and there at different events. He is also a part of few shoots but we still have to see him on our television or cinema screens. He recently shaved off his beard which he was spotting for Maula Jutt 2. Now he is seen again urging children to drink their milk and this time with a flavour. Here is his new advertisement:

Fawad Khan always manages to cast his magic on us! His recent TVC for Suzuki Vitara is out and we just can not overlook his hotness. He probably has upped the ante even higher this time around! His star appeal is the most attractive part of the tvc. Fawad is certainly experiencing an elongated purple patch in his life, with back to back tvc’s and some lined up films in Pakistan.
The King Khan of Pakistan, Fawad Khan is one of the most popular names of the country. He’s not only appreciated for his acting prowess, but girls all over the country just can’t get over how handsome he is!
Recently, he helped to save a life and won our hearts all over again. Apparently, there was an accident in Karachi and Fawad Khan made sure to help out the injured people. A passerby named Alee narrated the whole incident where FK did not hesitate from helping the people.
Ranbir Kapoor appreciates Fawad Khan for being Bold! As it is already known that Fawad Khan did a character of gay in his Bollywood film Kapoor and sons, lately Ranbir Kapoor said that now he can play a gay character, as Fawad Khan has already done it.
In a statement Ranbir shared that he was not that comfortable to play a character of homosexual, but now Fawad khan has changed his perception by playing such character in Kapoor and Sons.
When a media person asked him that will now play such a character Ranbir said: “Sure, but now it’s already been done. Now he’s (Fawad has) opened the door and it’s easy for us to walk through it. But earlier… I must honestly say I might have turned it down.”
After working in the entertainment industry for more than four decades Badar Khalil has decided to bid farewell to acting. She gave her last interview to DAWN Newspaper before leaving for Canada for good. Her disappointment with the drama industry and some people in particular is very evident in this interview. You can read the interview here:
Here are some of the things that Badar Khalil said that might interest the readers more than others:
“Fawad Khan has a make up artists all to himself because Hamsafar was a hit? These people think that since they have learnt acting, they know everything there is to know. Does experience not count at all?”
“Asif Reza Mir practically lived in our house and grew up with our sons. Now that they are established and have their own lives, they don’t care about someone like me”
“Samina Peerzada did not have much potential to begin with but got groomed after doing all kind of roles, just like Shabana Azmi’s talent was polished after doing all kind of roles. I feel that Smita Patel had more talent than her”
“My name doesn’t always appear in credits; even if I am doing a strong antagonist or support role, my scene never makes it to the still or promos”. She also says that her long scenes are cut short after editing.”
“There are no friends in showbiz. My husband Khalil would tell me that you should draw a line even in your closet friendships so that you don’t get hurt.”
It feels sad to read all this from someone who has given the industry her whole life.
Ushna Shah who is always very vocal on her facebook page had something to say about this interview too. She said that Badar Khalil was indulging into self pity. Here is what she said about the interview on her facebook page.
One of the famous facebook pages reported as follows:
Fawad Khan is busy promoting his upcoming Indian film Khoobsurat nowadays. He is already the talk of the town only after few of his dramas went on air, so there is very high hope that Indian people will give an unprecedented response to his film as well. FilmFare magazine is the one of the most well known and most read magazine in India with a great standing. It was launched way back in 1952 and since then has earned a reputable name for itself. Fawad Khan along with Sonam Kapoor graced the cover of the magazine and there was a photo shoot of the two for the magazine too.
Fawad Khan is an actor who gets under skin of his roles. This is the reason he has made a place in the hearts of millions with a limited number of projects that he has done in his career. Though Fawad has been largely missing from silver screen as well as small screen since 2016, his roles are still as fresh as the day they aired in the minds of his fans.
Fawad Khan will be back in cinemas with the upcoming and highly anticipated The Legend of Maula Jatt. He is playing the legendary Maula Jatt and the actor went through huge lengths to look good for the role. He revealed that he was only 78 kgs when he signed up for the role and he had to gain weight for it. Fawad gained about 20-25kgs more to become the Maula that we see on screens today and the process was not great for his health.
Khan ended up in the hospital as his kidneys were not functioning properly after the extreme regime he went on to gain weight. He also said that this not healthy and he would recommend everyone to never start such an extreme diet for a role as it is harmful in long term. Fawad Khan is also diabetic so it was not great on his health.
Listen to Fawad Khan extreme transformation from 75 to 100 kgs:
Whether he works or not, Fawad Khan is the biggest star of Pakistan. Public wants to see him and and all artists want to work with him. As soon as the announcement came of his comeback in Maula Jatt, fans are dying to watch him on screen. Fawad Khan garnered a huge fan following with his projects like Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai. His dramas even developed a cult following for the superstar internationally. Fawad is also known to be one of the most handsome stars we have in Pakistan and fans from all over the world attest to it.
But before becoming a superstar, Fawad Khan was a musician. His band EP received a lot of love when it came to the scene. Fawad and Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan aka Xulfi started out together. Fawad then branched to acting and debuted on television with Jatt and Bond. He later starred in Khuda Ke Liye and Humsafar and has never looked back.
Fawad started singing at his university and he was so unrecognizable back in those days, Here is Fawad Khan from his student life singing the evergreen Hamesha.
Check out Fawad Khan and Xulfi rocking the stage back then:
Fawad has sure come a long way and groomed himself. But his talent was visible back then too and is still relevant to this day!
Fawad Khan is having the best time in India. Apart from being the first Pakistani actor to take the Filmfare Award For Best Debut home and being the first ever Pakistani celebrity to host IIFA Awards, people in India are so obsessed with the heartthrob that Zindagi TV, an Indian channel that exclusively airs popular Pakistani content has initiated the Fawad Khan festival which will run for almost a month, from July 9 to August 7. According to Dawn Images, on the agenda is lots and lots of re-runs of his hit TV serials – Numm, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and no points for guessing, Humsafar.
Humsafar will air on Saturday 9th July and Sunday 10th July, Zindagi Gulzar Hai will air on Sunday 17th July and Sunday 24th July and Numm will air on Sunday 31st July and Sunday 7th August.
As a special Eid treat, Zindagi will air his Bollywood debut flick, Khoobsurat. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a #FawadFestival contest, where viewers will send their love to the heartthrob through a special Whatsapp contest.
There are many Pakistanis who think that Pakistani celebrities should not work abroad. The issue raised a controversy in the recently held ARY Awards too. Fawad Khan is loved by many but there are some fans who are insecure that if Fawad Khan is a hit in India he may not work in Pakistan again therefore they are not in favor of him working there.
While talking to the reporters at the trailer launch of Khoobsurat Fawad Khan said about such fans, “The people who you are talking about are very few. There will be people who will criticize… they are entitled to their opinion. Art knows no culture and creed. As an actor I would like to explore myself. I do feel bad but I choose to ignore it. I think to pay attention to it is unnecessary.”
Fawad Khan also said that everyone in Bollywood had welcomed him with open arms. “Its an honour to be part of this film. I found this film and my part interesting. It was a learning opportunity and I am grateful for this. This was an alien… New environment for me. But everyone made me comfortable. Everyone was warm and welcoming,” he said.
The ad will touch the hearts of all who have their loved ones staying away from them. The struggles people go through when they are working abroad to earn for their families and how the families miss each other is beautifully depicted in the ad. Samina Peerzada is once again our favourite mother. Watch this ad and see how your hearts will melt like ice cream in the sun.
Fawad Khan can be dubbed as one of the biggest stars in Pakistan. Starting his career with music and sitcom, Fawad Khan rose to fame with the chocolate boy love stories and he never looked back. He has a very interesting filmography and he has largely picked up very good roles in his Pakistani projects. Fawad Khan is also known for great pairings with his on-screen starlets and he has famous pairings with Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed and Sanam Baloch. The actor later on pursued a career in Bollywood and that is where he has largely preferred working after his debut Bollywood film Khoobsurat. The star’s trajectory has gone a bit downhill considering the status he holds in the industry and the power he possesses. Let us have a look at how Fawad Khan has gone from a superstar everyone was dying to watch on screens to someone who is there and does not respect his fans enough.
Entity Paradigm & Jutt And Bond – The Debut
Fawad Khan is among the OG artists who started off with music and later shifted to acting. His acting skills combined with his classic good looks gave him an edge. He started his career as a young lad with the sitcom Jutt And Bond where he played Bond while Ahmed Ali Butt played Jutt. The sitcom is considered a classic and introduced two big names of today into the industry.
His music journey is also a part of history as his band Entity Paradigm ended up giving some big stars as well as big hits like Inteha and Humesha to Pakistan.
Successful Film & Drama Debut
Fawad Khan was selected by the maestro Shoaib Mansoor for his film Khuda Ke Liye. He shocked everyone by how good he was in a very grey character and the film went to perform well at the box office. Fawad Khan worked with names like Shaan Shahid, Naseer ud Din Shah and Iman Aly in the film.
He later on shifted towards dramas and did shows like Dastaan and Akbari Asghari. Fawad Khan has not worked a lot on television but he always picked up quality scripts that stood the test of time. Dastaan is one such drama where the actor showed how great he is in a given character. Hassan stands as one of the best works of his career.
Humsafar & Zindagi Gulzar Hai – The Meteoric Rise To Fame
Humsafar is the show that made Fawad Khan the star that he is today. It was an overnight success and a show that brought back the lost spirit of Pakistani dramas. Humsafar was translated in several languages and aired in different countries. Fawad Khan as Ashar Hussain became a heartthrob that many people still love today. Humsafar’s success became the basic foundation of Fawad Khan’s eventual super-stardom.
Fawad went on to star in Zindagi Gulzar Hai as Zaroon Junaid and the drama made him a star in India as well. His charming personality on and off the screen was loved by the Indian audience and the show’s success in India brought him his Bollywood debut offer.
Fawad Khan’s Bollywood Debut
Fawad Khan is among the very few stars who were able to leave a mark in Bollywood. He made his debut opposite Sonam Kapoor in the film Khoobsurat and the film was a big hit. Fawad once again became a sensation in India with millions falling in love with his looks, talent and charm. Fawad Khan also starred in several other films and he was supported by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions which is a big deal for any artist working in India.
Gay Character In Kapoor & Sons
Fawad Khan played Rahul Kapoor in the Bollywood family drama Kapoor & Sons. This was a Dharma Productions film and Fawad Khan shocked everyone as he played a gay character. The character was rejected by many Bollywood actors before Fawad said Yes to it. He got a lot of critical acclaim for his role in India but Pakistani fans were unhappy about this choice. Fawad Khan, however, escaped harsh criticism which any other male star may have gotten in Pakistan and female stars get criticized for far less controversial choices. This was Fawad Khan’s opinion on playing a gay character in the film:
Harsh Insult By India
Fawad Khan was becoming a big name in India while his Humsafar co-star Mahira Khan also did a film with Shahrukh Khan when they were banned from working in Bollywood due to an attack in India. As usual India pointed towards Pakistan and the artists working in India were automatically stopped from working there. Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan were particularly insulted by the Indian media and many fake news of their deportations were held while the extremist political parties were also headbanging against Fawad Khan. This is how Pakistani stars were insulted:
Post Bollywood Journey And Lack Of Interest In Pakistani Content
After returning to Pakistan, Fawad Khan has done just one big project, The Legend of Maula Jatt and that is also a multi-starrer magnum opus with many other big stars in the cast. Fawad Khan did great as Maula Jatt and the film is a testament to his talent. Fawad Khan fans wanted to see him back on screen but he was not really interested. He appeared in advertisements as well as did cameos mostly but did not sign any Pakistani drama.
Barzakh & Not Respecting His Pakistani Fans
Fawad Khan just got into a huge controversy with his drama comeback in Barzakh. Barzakh was made by a Pakistani team but it was helmed by an Indian platform Zee5 where we have seen many other series as well which were largely good. Barzakh however, got into controversy for queer themes, bold scenes and children speaking some inappropriate dialogues. People in Pakistan were disappointed in Pakistani stars for signing up for such a controversial project and promoting values that are considered inappropriate in Pakistan.
Giving Importance To Indian Projects More Than Pakistan
Fawad Khan is once again rumoured to be working with Vaani Kapoor in an Indian film that will be shot in London. He is also working on another web series for an Indian platform. The star is as usual far more interested in working for India. His Pakistani film Neelofar has been hanging for release for ages now and fans are tired of waiting. His Pakistani series Jo Bachay Hain Samait Lo is a Netflix project by Momina Duraid and that is again another huge multi-starrer with not just Fawad as the main attraction.
Disappointment Of Fans & Some Other Stars Fawad Should Look At
Fawad Khan is clearly not interested in working for his Pakistani masses audience. However, notably all the best work Fawad has done is Pakistani including Khuda Ke Liye, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and The Legend of Maula Jatt. His Indian projects have brought him more exposure for sure but they did not do much for his career otherwise. His work in Ms Marvel was also because of his Pakistani work, just like his co-star Mehwish Hayat. Fawad is a big star but he needs to start looking inwards and make projects that common Pakistanis will watch who made him a star and not just Barzakhs which are not just controversial but made for a very limited audience.
As for international work, Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Saba Qamar, Mahira Khan and Sajal Aly have all done projects internationally and they have still managed to work in Pakistan and in some really good dramas and films. Disregarding your own fans and aiming only for a specific country’s approval and audience is not the approach a star like Fawad should be taking. Making more Maula Jatts and even Khuda Ke Liyes should be the star’s goal.
What do you think about Fawad Khan appearing in some controversial roles that are doing nothing for his career and disregarding his massive following in his home country? Do you think he should have gotten some inspiration from Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed who have successfully balanced their national and international work? Share in comments!
Fawad Khan is hot commodity in India nowadays. The fact that this young actor has graced the cover of FilmFare Magazine and the cover reads “Fawad Khan – The Cross Border Turk who is giving our heroes sleepless nights” shows that Fawad Khan has made a name for himself in the Bollywood film industry. The magazine with Fawad Khan’s photo shoot and pictures will be released next month but some of the pictures and excerpts from the interview have been doing rounds in the media which the magazine wants people to see and read to promote their next issue.
Fawad Khan has always made it very clear that he is not going to do any intimate scenes in his film. That is why he is asked again and again why he is against doing such scenes, in the interview to FilmFare he said, “Doing intimate scenes is something I’m uncomfortable with . Because it will not appeal to the sensibilities of my audience back home. I have to go back and work there. I won’t be a girgit (chameleon) and change my colours just because I am working here.”
Fawad Khan sports a very rugged look in his photo shoot for FilmFare which has really been liked by his fans. Here is the cover of the October issue of the magazine and some pictures from the photo shoot:
Fawad Khan shared that in order to find talented writers and their work, first, we need to have a script-writing competition. In the first part, the scriptwriters will submit a synopsis of their stories and the winners will then write full screenplays. The winning screenplay will get a chance to get their film produced by Fawad Khan’s production house, Alteridon Films.
“For years we have been hearing about problems film industry professionals encounter in finding the right stories and interesting scriptwriters to work with. At the same time, scriptwriters don’t know where to go and whom to contact to present their work. That is why we bring to you The Next Big Story,” Fawad added further.
