The future of entertainment too revolves around the web now. Podcasts, YouTube channels, online radio and web series are the new ‘IT’. And while the world has already ventured into the various avenues, Pakistan is still tapping web entertainment, testing waters with new content and web series. We’ve had comedy, drama and romance in our list of web series as of yet but now, its time to try horror, as shared by actress Sarwat Gilani who is already gearing up to play a new character in an upcoming horror web series.

Sarwat shared the news on her social media, where she posted the above picture stating, “New character…new web series and my father’s old watch! Coming soon…”

According to Images, the new project will be a project of Nashpati Prime on YouTube titled Arpita. The web series, created by Qaiser Ali and a team of young digital filmmakers will debut on the online-only platform next year and will star Sarwat Gilani, Yasra Rizvi, Zain Afzal and Khalid Nizam in prominent character.

“I’m playing a Christian named Jenny and this is a horror story. It’s very interesting,” shared Sarwat with Images, adding that the shooting of the project would begin in January.
