Zidd – Episode 05!

0

Ohkay so, even though the pace of most of the episodes is slow, I am glad that the story is moving forward pretty decently. I like the direction of this play a lot & feel that the scenes are relatively to-the-point.

I don’t know why but I don’t feel a thing for Saman’s family. The way they tried to magnify her mistakes where she took a stand for herself was completely out of line. They think their daughter is at fault because she broke her engagements but Omar is a gentleman despite being married. Yes, that’s fine, people do get divorced for the reasons best known to them & being a divorcee doesn’t mean a person is bad but the way Saman & Omar are being compared that too by her own family isn’t justified. The way her parents reminded her of her responsibilities which also included dealing with the fact of her husband being married was ridiculous. They think Saman should be on cloud 9 because she has found a perfect partner & supposedly she has hit a jackpot but they’re responsible for changing her behavior towards Omar by hiding a huge thing about his past from Saman. If they had come clean about Omar’s first marriage, I think Saman would be reacting differently now. The betrayal is huge & I think it’s completely justified if she is taking some time in coming back to normal & adjusting to this new change that has overcome her life. Even though the whole see-off scene was done nicely – it didn’t seem heartfelt because Saman’s family wronged her. Yes, they do love her & she is still a part of them but what they’ve done to her is unforgivable & I am with Saman on this as she has all the right to be bitter because her own family broke her trust & even though Omar wasn’t a part of the plan, he’s the reason why her family did this to her. I felt a lot for Saman when she said she isn’t missing her family. I thought I’d like Raza’s character but actually I don’t. The way Saman hung up on Raza clearly showed that she hasn’t forgiven him for talking her into this marriage & sadly, even though Saman might’ve been wrong at so many different levels for her family but this time, she wasn’t.

So, the new entries seemed interesting & I hope they have a good role to play in Saman & Omar’s life. Saman met Rukhi (Rabab Hashim) who’s a daughter of Qasim (Imran Peerzada) who happen to be relatives of Omar. Saman could instantly connect to her because she sees herself in Rukhi. Just like Saman, Rukhi is a headstrong girl, who has been pampered by her father so much that she’s now used to do what she deems fit. I am interested to see how their friendship will grow & what sort of bond these two girls will form.

Omar is now trying too hard to treat Saman as his wife & become a husband to her but Saman is still not mentally ready to let go of what happened so easily. She will take time which she for sure is entitled to. Of all the people, I find Omar’s character very confusing. In the beginning he taunted her & now he is trying hard to project himself as a very easy going husband who gives all sorts of freedom to his wife. I think it will take some time for me to actually understand his character & I think the curiosity has been perfectly build up by the writer here. Another character that’s yet to make an entry in this drama is of Zainab played by Nousheen Shah. She happens to be Saman’s friend & I am guessing she’d be Omar’s first wife too.

I’d say Zidd is so far so good. I must say I really like the OST of this drama & I feel Maya Ali looked really pretty in white ensembles & even her makeup seemed just right for her plus she looked gorg carrying the red pout. I like how she has worked on her wardrobe & also how her look changed when she went to USA. I so wish I could say that about Ahsan Khan but oh boy! His monotony knows no limits. I have lost count of all the dramas in which his hairstyle was exactly the same & also what’s wrong with the fluctuating length of his hair in every single drama? His hair was shorter in Pakistan & was comparatively longer in the USA. I must say he should really work on his look because that half straight, half wavy, half curled, been-static-since-ages hairstyle doesn’t suit him & he should get rid of that stubble too. He’s such a natural actor but seems like he depends more on his acting & less on his looks, which he shouldn’t. Anyways, I liked this episode & hope the story keeps on getting better & better. Cheers,

Dusri Biwi-Episode 8

0

Honestly speaking, there’s not much about Farah that makes any sense to me. A purposeless being with half-dyed hair and tomato-red pout, lazing around a light-deprived house, DESPERATE for a glimpse of her piya- well, that’s Biwi No.2 for you! And now that her sautan is in hospital and she happens to be completely farigh, she decides to dedicate some of her time to the hospital because sautan ki ayadat aur piya ka deedar at the same time- this isn’t getting any better! She is trying very hard to prove that she is her sautan’s well-wisher but the bottom-line is that she married Hassan while she was aware of his first marriage so for me, she is a home-wrecker and even though she is acting all goody-goody and concerned for Aisha, I feel kay ab sautan say pyar jatanay ka koi point nahe because it’s all too late and my impression of her is not changing just like that. I find Farah’s dialogues exceptionally lame, ‘Mujhay aap say koi shikayat nahe hai, Hassan’ (why the constant pained expressions, then?) and after the news of Aisha’s consciousness, ‘Shukar hai-Hassan ab sakoon say sou tou sakain gay’- this had me in bits! Seriously, get a life! There are bigger problems than your piya’s beauty sleep.

db1

Farah and Hassan- this lethal duo is gutsy to say the least! I mean, there you have your Biwi No.1 in bed and right in front of her, you are talking to your Biwi No.2 about ghar ka kharcha and whatnot, and I was amazed to see how casually Farah introduced Hassan to her friend in the hospital, without taking into consideration that Aisha’s bhai may be within earshot. Well, with this audacity and carelessness, it’s not much of a surprise that the cat is out of the bag. Okay so Aisha’s brother, Ahmed is now aware of Hassan’s second marriage. Is it just me or Hassan deserved a slap fair and square when he actually looked Ahmed in the eye and smugly declared that Farah is his wife! This guy still has the guts to make eye contact and well, there I was, thinking there is a limit to besharmi.

I actually felt for Aisha today because not only has she lost her child, but there are a lot more striking developments awaiting her:
a) She won’t be able to have kids anymore
b) Her husband has a Biwi No.2 namely, Farah
c) Her sautan is expecting!!

I really think development a) could’ve been dropped but I’m sure the writer has something horrible in mind. You know, when Farah suggested, ‘Aap bacha adopt karlega’, the way Hassan replied, ‘Shayad kar bhi lain’ gave me a bad feeling about the future installments-in the attempt to prove that Farah is the biggest bechari and qurbaani ka bakra you’ve ever met, I hope the writer doesn’t make Farah give up her baby to Aisha because if that happens, we’ll definitely do something about ARY digital.

1901285_1539022166373234_6476180567477691443_n

I know Ahmed only wants to do what is in the best of Aisha’s interests but I don’t think hiding the news will do any good to her. He plans to force Hassan into divorcing Farah and the promo of the next episode suggests that we are in for a lot of cheekh pukaar but honestly speaking, I want Aisha to see for herself how disloyal Hassan is because until then, the story will not progress.

Chup Raho – Episode 21

Our little heroine with a VERY BIG mouth seems to have forgotten all about her past that could be the only reason for her new-found (annoying) confidence! Are we watching season 2 of Chup Raho as well because Numair and Manal are totally out of the picture and Rameen is not behaving like someone who went through hell very recently!

Rameen took over Yasir’s house like she was born there! The way she gave advice to everyone big or small and the manner in which she argued with Yasir’s character in particular was something that just did not work for me! Giving him lunch because she “felt” for him was one thing but advising him on how he should be raising his kids was just plain unbelievable. I am sure someone like him who has enough money can afford a very good governess for his children, there was absolutely no reason for him to rely on a total stranger who clearly did not even respect him! I was dumbfounded when Yasir’s character actually opened up to Rameen when he said that he was responsible for his wife’s death! Why does he even think that he owes Rameen an explanation?

I can’t imagine Rameen being a “mother” to these three kids since she has a lot of growing up to do herself. My biggest problem however were the continuous arguments between Rameen and her “boss” because they were not relatable in any way at all. Yasir’s character had no reason to feel responsible for Rameen, he could have easily left her at the nearest police station or a welfare centre. His concern for her even though he did not have a very high opinion of her was another aspect which seemed forced. The kids did not take much time to warm upto Rameen probably because they are lonely and they need someone to talk to. The fact that Rameen’s name did not ring any bells means that Numair never mentioned her name to his friend or it could be that he does not remember it.

I had no high hopes for this play even before but now I am utterly disappointed at the way the story is being stretched. For how long will people continue watching this show out of curiosity? Many people I know have already given up on it and for good reasons too. The preview of the next episode also suggested that for now we will only get to see Rameen adjusting in her new life, Numair and Manal are nowhere to be seen. Azar is already out of the picture, Rameen however does not know yet that her husband who she loves so much is dead! I would give everyone including the kids full marks for the acting but can’t say the same for the new twists and turns in the story. Do I want to see Yasir’s character and Rameen to have a future together? Most certainly not!

Do share your thoughts about tonight’s episode.

Aik Pal_Episode 9: Happening but loopholed

0

There are three different tracks in Aik Pal and all of them are totally different and separate from each other. They will obviously entwine soon but until then we just have to wait_ I don’t know for how long!

Bareera and Omair:

One thing that I find really distracting is the makeup. Bareera’s makeup did not vanish or even get toned down when her father was in the hospital. Her curls showed that she had a lot of time to use the curling iron despite her father’s condition_ the only person in her life and country who is sincere to her. Anyways, her not-so-sincere hubby, Omair left no kasar in his father-in-law’s care. The conversation(s) with his parents showed that he did all of that in order to get into his FIL’s good books, and it worked. Bareera’s father was glad that his damaad has changed!

Untitled

The sudden Nikkah:

Imran was crazy for Shazi that’s why he ran to her house the next morning after he came to the city. I am surprised, how does Imran come barging into and sneaks out of Shazi’s house whenever he wants? When Shazi requested him to help her run away, he agreed. I think, that a person like Imran who has lived in the village environment his entire life, isn’t well-educated and treats women like he treats Noor Fatima, falling for Shazi is unlikely. He could “love” her like a kid loves his toy, and throw her away after he is happy and contented, but a life long commitment like Nikkah isn’t possible, especially when he knows what background she belongs to. That is why I was surprised when he got nikkah-fied to her. Anyways, I am glad that they did not show the whole nikkah scene, because I am tired of watching such scenes again and again. Kya zaroorat hai bhui? But clearly, he had not thought it through. How could he ask Shazi to go back? What if her mother sells her?

The job interview and it’s consequences:

Noor Fatima clearly forgot that she has been engaged to Imran and will be married in a few days. That’s why she was planning on not only doing the job (in the city), hoping to get a house and car from her employer and getting a driver for it! When her brother reminded her about the upcoming disaster of her life, she dizzied. I wouldn’t have sweat it, if it wasn’t for her brother’s second reminder, “Aap ko itne chakkar kyun aate hain?” Does this mean that Noor Fatima will suffer from some disease? I hope not! Plus, I want her to get the job, which seems highly unlikely now.

Screen Captures2

Mus’haf and Rani’s “lesson”:

On the other side, Rani keeps making Mus’haf uncomfortable. She made her father (the chauhdry) call Mus’haf to the haweli to teach her and then opened up her Pandora’s box of feelings for him. “Mujhe shayari sikahayein, hisaab nahi!” Any normal person would run off after this.

Conclusion:

This was a happening episode and let’s see what fate has in store for all of the characters. I am waiting for their lives to entwine once again.

The Biggest Controversies Of 2014

0

There were some major controversies in the year 2014 that literally changed the course of the careers of some celebrities. Some celebrities took these controversies in their stride and came out stronger but others were not given much choice! There were stars who landed in these controversies purely because of bad luck and there are others who relied on controversies to get attention from the public. There are also many stars who do not really care what people think so they continue doing what they think is right without giving any kind of explanation to people. Sometimes a person’s own actions do not generate controversies but they are simply dragged into them, many celebrities were dragged into such matters because of people they had worked with or associated with.

Here are the biggest controversies of 2014 according to the timeline.

Shamoon Abbasi Excluded From Waar 2

Shamoon Abbasi had a major role to play in Waar but when the casting of sequel of the film was finalized, he was left out of it. This was a shocking discovery for Shamoon’s fans as well as for himself. Shamoon openly shared his discontent with the decision because according to him he gave Waar his best therefore he deserved to be part of this next project too.

1

This year did not start well for Shamoon but he bounced back soon enough and was seen busy working on his film “Gidh”.

Veena Malik’s Facebook And Twitter Account Hacked

When controversial pictures and videos of Veena Malik were leaked out everyone thought that this was another publicity stunt from an actress who was desperate for attention. Veena Malik was already married when this controversy took place and she declared that her Digital Marketing Manager Parashant hacked her facebook and twitter account. Veena Malik also said that her husband was going to stand by her and this was not going to have any effect on her marriage.

33 34

Meera’s MMS Video

Meera’s MMS video was criticized by many people because it crossed all lines of decency. Mubashar Luqman invited Meera and her husband to his show to clarify their position. Meera gave a very feeble argument that these videos were fake. Mubashar Luqman on the other hand thought that this was a publicity stunt from Meera because she was not getting enough attention from people.

Hamza Ali Abbasi And Saba Qamar’s Affair

People started talking about Hamza Ali Abbasi’s and Saba Qamar’s affair when some pictures in which both of them appeared to be very close to each other surfaced on the internet.

24 3

Later on a post on Saba Qamar’s official facebook page in which she said that she loved Hamza left no reason to doubt that there was something between them. Hamza denied these stories and Saba stayed quite. Many months later when she was invited as a guest on HUM TV’s talk show she narrated a completely different story about the post. She also said she did not need to explain herself to anyone.

Maria Meer’s Rejection From Pakistan Idol

When Maria Meer was not selected as a contestant in Pakistan Idol many people thought that this was not a fair decision. Maria Meer gained popularity among people because of this and later on Amanat Ali decided to take her under his wings. Both of them came out with the song “Naina Lage”. After this song people were even more convinced that the decision of the judges was wrong.

35

Maria Meer and Amanat Ali made many television appearances together. In one of the Morning Shows Amanat Ali said that he did not want to put the judges down and also said that Maria was not good at live singing, she needed more practice.

Ali Zafar’s and Shaan’s War Of Words

There has hardly been a time when the war of words between two mature actors has taken a turn which the exchange of words took between Ali Zafar and Shaan at the ARY Film Awards. When Shaan called actors who worked in India “cheap sell-outs”, Ali Zafar took the statement personally and gave a long statement against what Shaan said.

 5

“Hum doosri cheezon ka sahara letay hain apni khaamion ko chupane ke liye, patriotism ke naam pae, doosri cheezon ke naam pae…”

“I think we should be honest. Humain sach bolna chahiye aur woh waqt agaya hai ke anay walay logon se sach bola jaaye”

“I think we should be honest. Humain sach bolna chahiye aur woh waqt agaya hai ke anay walay logon se sach bola jaaye”  was Ali Zafar’s reply to Shaan.

Later on Shaan gave this statement and he went on supporting his stance regarding actors who work in India in his other interviews too.

Geo TV Banned!

When Shaista Lodhi played that Manqabat in her Morning Show she had no idea how far this controversy was going to go. The immediate reaction from Islamic scholars with the support of ARY in particular landed not only the host of the show in trouble but entire channel too.

7

Shaista apologized, her show was taken off air and even the owner of the channel apologized but the matter was not resolved. As a result of this Shaista had to flee the country along with Veena Malik who was a guest at the show. Later on Geo TV was banned for many months. The court punished everyone involved to 26 years in jail because of the blasphemous act!

Aam Khaye Ga Aam!

Aamir Liaquat’s ridiculing behaviour in his Ramadan Shows was strongly condemned by many people. This video in particular was criticized by many people because everyone thought that Aamir Liaquat was being very rude to his guests. People made jokes about his behaviour too.

Aamir Liaquat even answered the criticism but people still thought that his actions could not be defended in any way.

Rumors of Ushna Shah’s and Hamayun Saeed’s affair

The rumors of Ushna Shah’s and Hamayun’s affair came on surface when according to news Hamayun Saeed came to the Bashar Momin launch even though he was not invited there. Later on there was news that Hamayun’s wife had caught both of them “red handed”. Both parties said that there was nothing like that between them. Ushna declared the whole rumor a conspiracy against her and Hamayun.

8

Few days after the rumor Ushna Shah was excluded from the cast of an upcoming drama that was being produced by Hamayun Saeed’s production house. After the first episode of “Bashar Momin” went on air, people criticized actress Ushna Shah saying that Ushna would have been a much better actress if she had taken interest in her acting instead of the actor.

Shoaib Akhtar’s Secret Wedding

The news of a celebrity’s wedding is not controversial at all unless the celebrity concerned decided to hide such a news or refute it even when people find out about it! People kept on guessing who Shoaib’s wife was after the news came out and Shoaib kept on denying it. After a few days he said that he was married!

Bilal Lashari Files FIR Against Hassan Waqas Rana

Bilal Lashari and Hassan Waqas Rana’s film “Waar” was a huge success but few months after the release of the film when Bilal Lashari filed an FIR against Hassan Waqas Rana it went to show that there was trouble in Paradise. According to the agreement, Hasan Waqas was to share 25 per cent of the profit with the director. In the FIR filed with the Kohsar police, Lashari stated that he was a partner of the investor in the film but Rana deposited Rs 200 million in his account, refusing to share any part of the earnings with the director.

14

There were accusations and cross accusations, nothing has been revealed about the outcome of the FIR yet.

Mehwish Hayat’s Item Song

Mehwish Hayat’s image in the eyes of many fans was changed gravely when her item song for the film “Na Maloom Afraad” was made public. When the teaser for the film came out Mehwish Hayat’s item song was talked about more than anything else. Many people argued that such item numbers were derogatory to women and were not needed either.

15

The actress on the other hand said that this item song was a “labour of love” and it was like a “dream come true”. Mehwish Hayat also said that item numbers are a “highlight for any film”! People were very upset with these statements and with the manner the item song was shot.

Badar Khalil’s Exit From The World Of Entertainment

When a versatile and gifted actress like Badar Khalil who has given more than half of her life to the world of entertainment exits it, it should be a moment of sadness but this moment turned into a controversy when in her last interview Badar Khalil pointed out her annoyance and unhappiness with the world of showbiz. Here are some of her statements which arose a lot of controversies:

“Fawad Khan has a make up artists all to himself because Hamsafar was a hit? These people think that since they have learnt acting, they know everything there is to know. Does experience not count at all?”

“Asif Reza Mir practically lived in our house and grew up with our sons. Now that they are established and have their own lives, they don’t care about someone like me”

“Samina Peerzada did not have much potential to begin with but got groomed after doing all kind of roles, just like Shabana Azmi’s talent was polished after doing all kind of roles. I feel that Smita Patel had more talent than her”

“My name doesn’t always appear in credits; even if I am doing a strong antagonist or support role, my scene never makes it to the still or promos”. She also says that her long scenes are cut short after editing.”

“There are no friends in showbiz. My husband Khalil would tell me that you should draw a line even in your closet friendships so that you don’t get hurt.”

Here is how Ushna Shah reacted:

Fawad Khan’s wife said that Fawad had no such demands and there was obviously some misunderstanding.

Mathira Sharing The News Of Her Marriage days before The News Of Her Baby!

Mathira is a very vocal person who believes in sharing everything with her fans but somehow she did not feel the need to share the news of her marriage with her fans. Sadly, the news of her pregnancy came out before the news of her marriage and that is when people started speculating all kinds of things since Mathira is already a controversial personality.

21

Mathira was very upset with people for such remarks and speculations and that is when she decided to make the identity of her husband public. “Shadi kar li gunah nahi kiya. When we are ready we will come and face the camera. I will not allow anyone to comment on my personal life,” was Mathira’s statement!

23

To this Hamza replied in this manner:

All this exchange of words made people wonder if the two stars who were once best friends no longer even got along with each other!

Sarmad’s Statement About Fawad Khan

When we hear these two names together the first thing that comes to our mind is the blockbuster serial “Hamsafar” but the fans of this hit serial were shocked when in one of his interviews with Times Of India Sarmad Khoosat said, “I like Fawad as an actor and a star but our approach and our process of working don’t match and for me the process of filming a drama or a film is more important than the outcome, Our actor-director relationship was extremely nice till Humsafar but after that I had reservations about a few things with him. I might work with him in future. I feel Fawad, Mahira and I should work together again. But I don’t have a feeling that ‘Oh, I want to do something with Fawad’. My wish list does not have him.”

Goya- Episode 10 Review

Adnan’s exit was just as swift as his entry- it took me by surprize but I think the timing was just right. In a matter of a few episodes, Adnan left his mark. Full points to Gohar Rasheed for portraying the role of Adnan with such finesse. His death remains a mystery at the moment but it was reason enough to shatter Omar’s world. Mujhe bilkul akela kar rahein hain wohh… Ab mujhse meri family bhi cheeni jayegei… I think Omar fears that his father is capable of just about any and everything. But then again, Omar has lived under his father’s shadow for his entire life until just recently when he decided to walk away. However, I can’t seem to forget Adnan’s last words- Power ke nashay mein insaan yeh bhool jata hai ke there’s always someone sitting above… Rahat continues to gloat with the notion of his invincibility- afterall, there have been far too many coincidences that have worked in his favour. And those coincidences are reason enough for Omar to worry for the lives of his family- Mohini, Asma and his unborn child.

 image

Omar’s paranoia makes him want to run away further- he wants to move to America and expects it will happen in the blink of an eye. When Mohini doesn’t share his concerns, he feels helpless and finds himself walking the streets like a vagabond. He senses he is being followed and in a moment of panic, ends up being the victim of a car accident after nearly escaping just moments earlier. Rahat Hashmi knows how to take full advantage of a situation and manages to get the Doctor to do his bidding. The minor accident that required nothing more than a few stitches is now presented to be a serious condition that will require spinal cord decompression and extensive surgery and the recovery will be over a period of months. Mohini, who has been feeling pangs of guilt over Omar’s ghareebo wali halat is convinced her qismat or lack thereof is the root of all of Omar’s problems.

image

At such times, any rational person would think to consider going for a second opinion but Mohini is in no condition to think clearly. One after another, there have been hiccups in their marriage and now that she is expecting her first child, her fears are slowly creeping in. Rahat is planning Omar’s return- he has managed to isolate Omar and destroy his support system and has tortured him with his taaney to ensure Omar loses his ground. Rahat feels he in entitled to complete control over Omar since he is his only son- Zeb’s reaction to his statement hints that there is a connection between the two. I would really like to see how Zeb rocks his boat- the bigger they are, the harder they fall!

image

Once again, a big shout out to Osman Khalid Butt and Sana Javed for their effortless acting- I’m rooting for you #OmarAndMohini. Usman Peerzada is such a brilliant actor he makes you hate Rahat to the core. But if I were to pick and choose what I’m loving most about the drama, I’d say it has to be the writing- hats off to Mohammad Ahmed and team for bringing forward a fresh script, some witty dialogues and most of all, thank you for keeping us glued!

Yours in watching,

Meesha Shafi and Umair Jaswal in Sarmad Khoosat’s “Mor Mahal”

0

Singer Meesha Shafi made her TV debut with Muhabbat Khuwab Ki Soorat (2010) on Hum TV. In the same year, she appeared in Ye Zindagi To Woh Nahi (Geo TV). After a gap of 5 years, and her film debut in Waar (2013) she is back with Mor Mahal.

The cast also includes TV debutante, vocalist and former front man of Qayaas, Umair Jaswal. He will be seen in the action movie Yalghar soon, which will be his big screen debut.

The TV show will be directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat, who is currently filming Main Manto as wellIt will be produced by A&B Productions and written by Sarmad Sehbai (writer of Laa_Meekal Zulfiqar and Sadia Khan starrer).

Conclusion: With an amazing director and writer, I think Mor Mahal will be worth a watch. Sarmad Khoosat has directed dramas like Humsafar , Shehr-e-Zaat and Paani Jesa Pyar. Writer Sarmad Sehbai seldom writes but always chooses a different concept. With the right direction, his script can be crafted into a worth-appreciating drama.

You can’t not love Gol Gappay_Proved!

0

The US Consulate General Karachi conducted a “test” to know what their employees think of the Pakistani favourite, Gol Gappay.

Few of the employees looked puzzled about how to eat them. They had mixed views about the taste and texture; spicy, sour and crunchy. Most of them loved the taste and one of them even sang, “Gol gappay wala aya”.

We Pakistanis are already the biggest fans of gol gappay. ;) This video proves that no one can not love them!

Digest Writer – Episode 16!

Ohkay so, like I sussed before, Mazhar Hayat is definitely going to give Fareeda a hard time. He dislikes all the digest writers just because they happen to write for different digests & that makes him believe that they’re beneath him because supposedly they know nothing about actual & meaningful writing. I totally understand the concern he has for the drama industry because he believes in writing unique stories with a message & a meaning & even his concern about how digest writers have overtaken the industry with their thoughts confined to marriages, its problems & women oriented issues is also reasonable but the way he disses all the digest writers & looks down upon them without even going through their writings makes me dislike him. He is definitely a veteran writer & no one takes that away from him but Mazhar Hayat fails to understand that times have changed & people demand different stories. Until now, directors & drama makers have only discussed how his scripts don’t make good dramas & that has somehow affected Mazhar Hayat more than he can express. I do agree with Mazhar Hayat whenever he speaks about how channel owners these days are only concerned about ratings but that doesn’t mean that if a few new writers are bringing in some fresh ideas, channels shouldn’t pay heed to their work just because a seasoned writer happens to be around them. It’s actually amusing that even though he doesn’t know anything about Fareeda & her work, he already has a problem with her just because she has earned a name for herself in a very short span of time.

Fareeda’s miseries aren’t coming to an end. Her in laws’ demands are never ending. She is supposed to do everything for them but they won’t budge. I just so wish that they hadn’t shown Shaukat as such a spineless person who has no say of his own whatsoever. He’s a typical spoiled mama’s boy who would do everything his mama tells him to do. Najma is getting married & we’re thrilled for her, but it looks like she is not going to go away silently. She will get herself noticed & that is why I just couldn’t stop hating her this time around too.

I do like the fact that even though Fareeda has no support of her husband & her in laws, she keeps on doing things related to her professional life every now & then because that makes her happy. She got her book published without any sort of help of anyone & that was good to see that she is finally trying to manage both aspects of her life & is also paying attention to her career. Even though she doesn’t write anymore, she is still somehow connected to those people who were a part of her professional life & that means she still has a margin of bouncing back whenever she feels like.

I actually thought that Fareeda’s MIL would somehow change because now she has no other option left than to rely on Fareeda but she is incapable of being nice. Now all of a sudden when her husband had an accident, she wanted Fareeda to write because she knows she can easily bring in some bucks. I just don’t understand why doesn’t Shaukat work? If Sajida had used half of the brains to train her son to be responsible, I am sure Shaukat would’ve been an entirely different person. Apparantely, Sajida had the guts to indirectly order Fareeda to write so that she could bear the expenses but she couldn’t care less & tell her son that he needs to work so that he could support his family?

Even though Fareeda has started writing again but I hope this doesn’t make her accept this as a compensation granted from Shaukat & his family. Yes, she knows that they are depending on her & she got permission just because they wanted to get benefitted from it, but I hope Fareeda doesn’t push herself too hard just so that she can help her in laws. Yes, she was passionate about writing like she has always been & she wanted to continue it even after her marriage but now when she has gotten a chance, Fareeda should understand that her in laws are counting on her & just because she got permitted, she would allow them to walk over her just so that she could pursue her passion.

Isn’t it too bad that Fareeda’s thinking she has hit a jackpot just because she’d get to work under Mazhar Hayat but little does she know that he is only going to give her a tough time because he already has preconceived notions about her. I hope Fareeda takes a decision with finality because looks like even her attempts of helping her in laws financially won’t earn her respect from them. I totally love Fareeda’s parents & find them genuine but their repetitive reminders about Farhaan’s college fee & Shakeela’s wedding are ticking me off. Yes, they are depending on Fareeda, we know it but that doesn’t mean there has to be a scene or two dedicated to this already-crammed reminder. This episode was a lot more happening then a couple of previous episodes. I just want to see what future has in store for Fareeda. Share your thoughts please.

5 Common Facepalm Moments

0

We have all, at some point in our lives, been forced to face palm, whether it’s the stupidity of others, or ours that makeS us do it. Following is a list of five such moments whose credit goes to our television screens:

1. When morning shows have “dramas”:

Shadis, calling upon jinnat or trying to have discussions with “real” saas bahus, I would term them as dramas. Morning shows
have given me so many facepalm moments that I have lost count. I gave up on them a long time ago, but since they air 5 days a week, while scrolling through channels, catching a few scenes is inevitable. But seldom do they capture my interest. Most of the
time they make me cringe.

Give up on these fake shadis already. Why are they hell bent on getting people married? If you really want to earn sawab
by getting girls married then do it in private instead of dhol dhamaka and an official ailaan. Other than that, what is the point of
getting already married couples married again? For the second time, having not only a baaraat but a mehndi, mayon and the kind of
rasoomat that no person of this country has even heard of, is illogical.

facepalm1

If real jinnat ever got to these guys, do you really think they will let the cameramen record their videos and show them to the world? I think using this topic to get ratings is wrong and no sane person would fall for this cheap tactic.

The morning show hosts will make your marital life a bliss by calling you and your saas live on television and let the whole world see what crap you two are going through together (just so they can know that their lives aren’t as messed up as yours and be happy)!
Who believes these people?

2. When the weddings in dramas just don’t end:
Mayu and Mehndi(with ALL the dance scenes) , Baraat and Valima and then angoothi dhoondna and doodh pilana and sheesha dekhna.….
The list goes on, and the weddings go on,thus the scenes get dragged. All that changes are the wedding dresses!! Do we need to see every wedding function of the characters? Since they are filler scenes used to drag the already lame dramas for a few episodes, we can skip them.
The examples are endless. Raheel’s (Sohail Sameer) Mehndi function in Tum Mere hi rehna lasted for three episodes. Abrish
(Sonya Hussain) and Farhad’s (Junaid Khan) wedding functions in Khuda Na Karey wasted a lot of time. The wedding functions of
Aahista Aahista, Muhabbat Subh Ka Sitara Hai, Dil Nahi Manta, Ladon Mein Pali, Rasam, Rukhsati need to be mentioned here.
The “6-7 sisters” dramas annoy me the most. Every sister’s wedding functions are shown separately (Like one wasn’t enough!).
Mein Bushra is a recent example.

facepalm2-001

3. When the most boring drama is nowhere near ending:

You’d expect, in fact pray that the most boring drama on-air will have the least number of episodes but when, even after the 20th or 25th episode there is no sign of it’s end and the twists are still happening, you have no choice but to wonder…….

Are you serious GIF

4. When everything is solved at the last moment:

We, the viewers, put our heart with the characters. We love some of them, and hate some of them. Whom we hate, we want punished. Unfortunately we don’t get to see the evil ones suffering for more than one scene. The apologies they present to the good ones are just words of formality. In the end, we see the hero (who’s most probably the apologist), and heroine sharing an intimate moment. There can be two reactions to this:

a) a sarcastic cute

Sarcastic cute GIF

b) an urge to punch

punch in face GIF

5. When talk show fights go out of hand:
I do watch talk shows, whenever I find the topic interesting. But the acha khasa topic is ruined by the verbal abuse the “guests” shower upon each other. There is a huge difference between educated politicians and illiterate people. Setting a good example for the people, eh? Done on purpose or not, this is wrong and should be stopped.

Jackson Heights – Episode 18!

Can someone tell me what has gone into Michelle? She told Rizwan that she has let go of the fear of being deceived but now when I come to think of it, she was better off with that fear because she saved herself from a lot of hassle that’s now ready to make its way into her life. I mean I seriously cannot relate & understand the reason why Michelle fell for a guy like Jamshed. He had an ulterior motive of trapping her, we know that but what did Michelle see in this guy that she couldn’t see in Rizwan, a guy that’s suitable for her & compatible with her on so many levels? Like I always complain about the lack of emotional quotient in this drama, these recent turn of events in Michelle/Jamshed track force me to say that again. They haven’t given us anything which can convince us or let us know the reason behind this level of trust Michelle has in Jamshed? She is choosing to ignore her two loyal long-time friends Rizwan & Adnan for the sake of a guy who just made an entry into her life may be a month ago? Everyone else can see that Jamshed isn’t as nice as he poses to be but why is Michelle so blind? I mean if she was a 16 y/o I would’ve given her a benefit of doubt but a divorcee in her 40’s who has gone through a bitter betrayal in her life is turning out to be so naive & gullible that it just doesn’t make any sense.

Finally, Bhatti let the secret out. He is in love & he is not ashamed of admitting it. I am glad that he took situation in his hands & gave it back to Sikandar because he deserved it. If Bhatti had spoken to Salma without doing such a thing, she would’ve shooed the thought away but now when she saw how Bhatti had taken a stand for her & the trouble he went through just for her sake, it was enough for her to realize how serious he is for her. Amina Shiekh has for sure surprised me with her effortless acting. I am glad that the emotionally incapable Salma isn’t now afraid of letting go of her emotions, she cries, she complains, she reasons & she gives words to her thoughts, which is exactly what I wanted to see in her character & now I like her character a lot because I feel now I can connect to her.

Too bad that Cathy is now trying to salvage the already wrecked marriage because it’s too late. Once again, I don’t understand why is she doing this because to be honest, I didn’t understand what her issues with Bhatti were to begin with? Ever since the beginning, she was unhappy & indifferent but all of a sudden, just a sight of Bhatti & Salma in one frame shook her so bad that she has completely changed & that doesn’t make sense at all. Why she was like that before & why is she trying so hard now? All I knew about her was that she didn’t love her husband but to see the emotion of love, affection & concern she is showing for Bhatti just doesn’t come across as genuine as it should’ve been because we haven’t seen proper ground of her story.

I am glad Aliya is there to knock some sense into Salma. Yes, Salma is afraid of burdening herself more because she already has a lot to deal with & she is fine as far as she knows that being in this relation stops people from being judgmental. Salma is well aware of the fact that this marriage has given her nothing but she is happy with the tag that has come with it because it somehow makes her feel protected. Yes, Salma is independent but she just doesn’t want to get judged, which is why just the thought of her being with Bhatti reduced her to tears as she thinks she doesn’t have any courage left in her to deal with this. I feel the conversation that Aliya had with Salma will prove to be a turning point in her life because it will compel Salma to think on those lines that she has been trying to avoid.

Yes, the episode was interesting & somehow happening too. Isn’t it odd that Marina Khan’s hair colour keeps on changing; in one scene it’s her natural grey hair & in the other it becomes brown which is more like an attempt to make her look younger in the frames she share with Jamshed? I wish the drama makers had taken care of such a basic thing because it somehow sheds a light on lack of attention to detail may be? Anyways, this episode was good & I am glad to know that the drama will end after giving us some good episodes. Share your thoughts please.

Sadqay Tumhare – Episode 15!

Khalil may not be Abdur Rehman’s real son but to him, Khalil is more than that, which is why he is doing everything he can to bring Shano & Khalil together. Like Amin said, Abdur Rehman is a resourceful person & he proved Amin right by having that inspector picked & thrown into the prison just because he dared torturing Khalil. Abdur Rehman is past that stage where he would think about rekindling an old affair. He’s done with his past & is now thinking like a considerate father who takes pride in fulfilling his responsibility as a parent, whereas Rasheeda hasn’t come out of the trance of those few moments that she spent with Abdur Rehman decades ago as his fiancée & that is why, she is hell-bent on making him suffer. Rasheeda’s plans are simple; if she can’t have him, she will go to any extreme to torture him even at an expense of her own flesh & blood & that can’t be helped because she has come a long way & has nurtured her hatred so much that it has gone beyond Rasheeda’s control too.

Khalil like always stood by his stand of not maligning Shano’s name just because he wanted to be with her but it took a detailed discussion with Doctor & Bakhtiyaar for him to understand what Shano, his mother & everyone around him must be going through. ‘Mohabbat nahi haray gi, mohabbat nahi tootay gi lekin mohabbat karne wala haar bhi jata hai aur toot bhi’. The message & its purpose were loud & clear. Khalil needs to understand that Rasheeda is someone who would never budge & that is why he has to come up with solutions of getting Shano out of that misery she goes through every single day. It looked like Khalil didn’t know much about his biological father & his elder siblings because their mention shook him & the way he was stunned guaranteed his oblivion. Doctor told him the right thing at a right time because for Khalil, his mother & then Shano are everything & just because he heard what his mother had gone through, he decided to put an end to this misery by agreeing to get what belongs to him & that is Shano.

Inayat has gone through so much in her life that now the last thing she wants is to see her son getting abused & tortured on daily basis that too because of Rasheeda as she is one way or the other related to what Khalil has to go through. I loved the conversation between mother & son; Inayat & Khalil. I actually love the bond both Abdur Rehman & Inayat share with Khalil. They understand him, they support him & when they know he is going to take care of things he’s supposed to, they don’t bound him with unreasonable promises & blackmailing. They are there for him & that is why Khalil seems focused on Shano as he knows that he has a strong backing of his parents.

I was relieved that things were back to normal between Shano & Humaira. They both share such a strong bond that I would’ve hated seeing a dent in their friendship. Humaira knows what her mother was going through because her uncle was in jail but she decided to support Shano like she always has because she knows that it was her cousin & then her uncle who were wrong & Khalil only did what was right because he couldn’t see anyone defaming Shano shamelessly that too in front of him. I loved the way Humaira asked Shano to not attend the reception of her brother because she knew that her mother would put Shano in an awkward position by asking her for a favour & she didn’t want that to happen because for Humaira, Shano & Khalil are more important & she understands & supports them like a true & genuine friend.

Well, it goes without saying that Rasheeda is despicable & Amin is gullible. I actually feel for Amin a lot because he has been a faithful husband to his wife. He not only loves Rasheeda truly but trusts her blindly too & because of this, he doesn’t deserve to be cheated upon. I found Amin as a very liberal husband because he has allowed Rasheeda to speak openly about her past & I thought it just didn’t affect him but the way he questioned her, it showed that he is hurt & deep down he feels that Rasheeda is still in love with Abdur Rehman. No matter how much lie she spews but still there is some insecurity that pinches Amin & that is why he reassures her time & again as to how much he loves & supports her because he just doesn’t want to lose her. Amin can clearly see the suffering of his daughter but he chooses to turn his back on Shano & side with his wife because he just can’t help it as he actually loves her which to be honest, Rasheeda doesn’t deserve.

It only took a second for Shano to decipher that whatever Rasheeda said about Abdur Rehman was nothing but a lie. Rasheeda obviously felt she would lose this one because Shano knows her too well & that is why she did what she can to keep things under her control. It was obviously an alarming moment for Rasheeda when she got to know that Shano doesn’t believe in what she said & this could clearly result in losing Amin’s vote of confidence & that is why she decided to put Shano through more torture because Shano’s honesty could cost her, her whole plan. I felt for Shano a lot when she sat on her bed with an expression of disbelief on her face, it was like for the first time Shano felt helpless & she saw that the last ember of hope she was clinging onto disappeared & now there was nothing left. No hope, nothing but only helplessness.

It seems like the next episode would be happening like this one too. Finally Shano & Khalil are going to face their worst fears & those plans that Abdur Rehman has fabricated for them. This episode for sure belonged to Rasheeda & to be more precise – Samiya Mumtaz. I think no other actress could’ve done justice to the role of Rasheeda because she has a perfect face for it. She carries a calm & genteel facade but deep down, there’s a volcano of hatred that’s gushing through her thoughts every single time & the way Samiya Mumtaz has painted it on screen is commendable. I loved this episode as it was perfect & kept my interest intact from beginning till the end, it was ‘intense’ & I’m sure all the upcoming episodes will be exactly the same. I just so can’t wait to find out what happens next. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Sadqay Tumhare. :)

Main Bushra- Episode 19: Love is in the air!

0

Guys and gals, Bushra SMILED  today and that too a broad, beaming smile. <3 I think this calls for a celebration! Without a speck of doubt, this was Main Bushra’s BEST episode. And after so many dreary episodes, we deserved a light-hearted one fair and square! I’ve lost count of all the times I said, ‘Awww so cute’ throughout the episode. Needless to say, Bushra and Shayan are made for each other <33.  I just can’t get over how adorable they look together and believe me, this picture MUST be framed (see below):

mb1

I lovedd how Shayan’s outburst and absence made Bushra realize his true worth. I think she always loved him but for the first time ever, we saw Bushra admitting that she has feelings for him because deep down, she always knew how pure Shayan’s intentions have been. The thing that makes Shayan stand out is how he gives Bushra the time and space she needs. Even though he always had feelings for her, he never tried to get things his way by force. I remember how he called her before nikkah just to ensure that she’s not coerced into making such a huge decision. The only time he did raise his hand was when Bushra’s words stabbed his moral character and things started to get out of hand. Thappar- connecting people :P Haha, you’d think that Shayan’s mother’s twisted ‘aqal thikanay laganay wali’ logic actually works! On the face of it, it looks like the thappar did the trick but I think its Shayan’s understanding and thoughtful nature that earned him respect in Bushra’s eyes. They always shared a special bond because if you come to think of it, Bushra and Shayan are alike in many ways. They both grew up with a sense of deprivation, trying to prove their worth to the people they loved. Bushra wanted to be a perfect daughter in the eyes of Nasir and in Shayan’s case, even though Sabiha loved him as her own, he kind of considered it his duty to be an ideal son in order to reciprocate all the favors bestowed upon him. Also, what brings them closer  is how they both need someone with whom they can share their thoughts and feelings without any inhibitions or the fear of being judged. I loved how Shayan returned home to find Bushra all set for turning over a new leaf *cheers*. Their conversation was well-written and beautifully executed and with this, our leads have MOVED ON! ‘Mein iss safar mein na aap ko ruknay dunga na hi thaknay.’ Affan Waheed and Mawra Hocane nailed it!! I loved the meaningful glances they kept throwing each others’ way. I loved the exchange of words of gratitude. ‘Thank you tou mujhay aap ka karna chahye’ <33 Thank you tou hum viewers ka bhi karna chahye, hum kab say duayen kar rahay thay ;)

mb2

Bushra, Shayan, Sabiha- everyone was in a great mood today so when the episode ended, I ended up feeling a lot happier and relaxed. Ha! Okay so Bushra and Shayan’s post-marriage official date was super sweet and  I think Bushra’s nervousness was pretty understandable too. I  enjoyed the way Shayan made Bushra feel special by buying her gajray, confessing his love and telling her over and over again how beautiful she looked <3 Shayan talked a lot about his real parents today and I found this very natural because its relate-able how he never felt comfortable talking about them in front of Sabiha as that might’ve made her feel guilty of not taking enough care of him. But now that Bushra is here, he talks about the bittersweet memories and I think its the circumstances he grew up in that made him sensitive and considerate.

I don’t know if this was a directional or editing loophole or what, but considering the ending note of the preceding installment, I was expecting them to show the rest of Bushra’s conversation with her mother but this episode began on a somewhat different note. However, the way Sofia grew suspicious when Shayan answered her call goes to show that Bushra chose not to spill the beans.

mb3

The final part of the episode introduced something serious- Sania and her family are in for a little visit (that’s about to turn emotionally violent) and it turns out that Sania’s mother is fighting a life-threatening disease and like any other mother, she wants to see her daughter tie the knot before her death. Pretty filmy and mainstream, no? I remember a couple of weeks back, there was a confusion as to who Sania really is. I watched Episode 11 again and it’s that confirmed that Sania was only engaged to Shayan (no nikkah).

I hope and pray that Sania walks out like a sensible woman after coming to terms with the fact that Bushra is married to Shayan. I am soo not in a mood to tackle another obsessively desperate young woman!! I think Sabiha has been unfair to Sania because she was the one desperate to see Shayan and Sania together in the first place. Faraz and the shocking divorce changed the situation but the bottom line is: Shayan loves Bushra. It’s true that things would have taken a far worse turn if Shayan had married Sania, despite having feelings for Bushra. I like how Bushra is feeling guilt pangs- she is genuinely nice and conscientious :).

I admit this over and over again that Mawra Hocane is beautiful as Bushra and Affan Waheed is perfectly portraying Shayan’s character. They look flawless together <33 Andd I am soo looking forward to the next episode!!

Welcome back to School

16th December 2014 was a tragic day in our history when 131 students and teachers were massacred by terrorists in Army Public School in Peshawar. After this tragedy, schools in nearly all areas were closed for security reasons and are now reopened on 12th January 2015.

To remember those who passed away on 16th December 2014 and those who have rejoined schools on 12th January 2015 ISPR has released a song.

We see these celebrities on television very often but these pictures are not of dramas or commercials they work in but these are pictures which many people probably haven’t seen. Some of these celebrities are busy catching up with friends and others are enjoying family time. All of them are enjoying doing what they do. Fawad Khan went to India recently where he met his friend and co-star Sonam kapoor. Sonam posted a picture of two of them together and shared her happiness that Fawad visited her. Veena Malik is enjoying spending time with her son and husband. Mehreen Syed is also enjoying with her daughter and in the other picture she can be seen with her sister. Mawra Hocane looks very different in the photoshoot. Amina Sheikh looks stunning like always.

Zidd – Episode 04!

0

Hmmm. This story is obviously very different to what we’ve watched before, so when there are a few things that you like, there are also a few things you might not agree with. This episode revolved around a lot of revelations imposed on Saman & also a certain realizations that left her shattered.

Ohkay, so Saman’s family thinks they can’t deal with her anymore & now when they ran out of ideas of how she must be tackled, they decided to go for an ultimate ‘problem solving medicine’ of Pakistani nation i-e Marriage. I think this time around, I’d blame them more than Saman because what they did to her was totally inadequate. At least, Saman was honest & believed in transparency but the way her own family trapped her into this marriage to get rid of her was shocking. Saman had only been ‘engaged’ twice, so how does it give an edge to her family to get her married to a guy who was ‘married’ already? Just because they were done reasoning with her & they felt she was making it hard for them, they decided to get back at her by deceiving her into this marriage. I thought they might find out about Omar’s past after Saman’d get married to him but looks like they staged this marriage even when they knew about his marital status. I think the worst thing a family could ever do to one of its family members would be breaking the trust they have in them & this is exactly what Saman’s family did to her. I am amazed that these so-called literate people felt ‘this’ was the right thing to do & not only had they accepted a proposal of Omar, they lied to Saman till she signed the marriage contract.

Yes, we all agree that Saman has been a very difficult person & she has been very hard on her family but now when I come to think of it, her demands were simple. She did not want to get married & it’s as simple as that. I don’t think her biological clock was ticking so fast that they had to get her married by hook or by crook. Yes, she put them through a lot of awkward situations & even they had to face some sort of embarrassment because of what may seem to them as irrational decisions taken by her but at least she was honest & the least she expected from her family was that they’d be honest with her as well.

I am unsure about Omar. Where at one hand he seemed considerate, on the other he casually ended up taunting Saman for calling off her engagements. Omar even had an audacity to question her about why she broke off her engagements whereas he’s the one who needs to do the explaining. Yes, Omar on his own does seem justified because he didn’t hide the fact of him being married before but now when he had learnt that Saman had no idea about it, the least he could do was show some courtesy towards her. I am sure we can’t judge him just now but the way he quickly started acting like ‘he-is-the-husband/he-is-the-boss’ in this relation didn’t make me like his character one bit.

The more I saw Appu, the more my blood boiled. She is the one who couldn’t stop praising Omar & his family. She is the one who infiltrated Saman’s family’s mind against her & she’s the one who initiated this wreck of a wedding. I didn’t even like the way Saman’s family was still blaming her for what they did to her, for how they fell short on honesty & shattered her trust. Everyone thinks she lives in a bubble of her own, she has disconnected herself to the whole wide world, she is the one who doesn’t value her relations & she is the one who deserved it but excuse me, why would you blame someone who was clear in what she wanted from her life? I don’t think she spoke in some alien lingo for them to understand that she was not ready for a commitment yet. All her parents could do after the wedding was just wonder if she was happy or not but I don’t think they should burden themselves with this much worry too because they didn’t think of her happiness before so there’s no point in bothering about it now as well. I am actually disappointed with Raza’s attitude too. He blamed Saman for being indifferent but isn’t he the one who is totally absorbed in his life & his fiancée? I thought he was the one who actually understood his sister but looks like he also wanted to get rid of her just so that he could get married peacefully.

This episode was full of shocks & unpleasant surprises but I did enjoy the conversation Saman had with her friend & also the whole marriage function scene, it was to-the-point & just done rightly. Share your thoughts on this episode please.

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
Zahra Mirza.

Chup Raho – Episode 20

The story took a brand new turn tonight which means that Chup Raho isn’t ending anytime soon! Yasir Nawaz’s character which we thought was going to be around only for a little while has a bigger role to play in the story. He is probably going to be Rameen’s hero who will restore her faith in people and might also be the person Rameen can lean on for the rest of her life. I could not have asked for a more perfect ending for Azar’s character. Azar realized what he had done to Rameen was wrong and because of that he did not deserve to live. He was ridiculed at every step because someone like him who could not tell right from wrong even when it was quite obvious deserved just that. I am glad that my fears about Rameen returning back to Azar were proven wrong. Apparently Rameen is going to start a new life now, it remains to be seen why Rameen won’t be able to go to Rawalpindi and it is probably going to take her a long time to make a place for herself in this new house.

I should probably stop being shocked with Rameen’s stupidity by now but every time I see her falling for every little or big trap someone sets for her I can’t help but question Rameen’s mental age! It is questionable enough when someone who you have barely learned to trust asks you to go out with them in the middle of the night but it becomes even more so when they put it like this ” tu phir chalo gi mere sath factory adhi raat ko!”. And then Zarina asks Rameen not to tell anyone either because it is a “test” for her!! Who would fall for that? Only our innocent Rameen I suppose! I really hope that this next step in Rameen’s life will prove to be the one after which she learns to think more maturely. The way Rameen met Yasir’s character was very well done; there was a good reason for him being there and he could not have taken Rameen anywhere else at that time in the night. Making her sleep in his living room however was going a bit too far! He clearly has no sympathy for Rameen and doesn’t trust her either for obvious reasons. The thoughts running through Rameen’s head while he ate his breakfast were funny! Yasir’s character’s conversations with Numair in the past indicated that he is a very straight person who would never hurt a girl like that. He always stopped Numair from whatever he was doing and he ended the friendship because they were poles apart. We found out today that his wife is either dead or he is divorced and he is finding it very hard to deal with his daughters. He needs someone who can look after his daughters and the girls also appeared to be starved for company. The “chaddar” which the maid gave Rameen didn’t even pass for a proper duppatta!

In the last few episodes Naila’s health issues had been one of the things on which the writer focused more than others but this episode mainly focused on ending Azar’s character and also on showing how Rameen managed to get away from Zarina and is out of the hostel now. I have said it before and I feel like I need to say it again that I can’t relate to “Rameen’s” trials and tribulations at all mainly because like every other person who knows even a little bit about the world would know that it would not take much for Rameen to get enrolled in a good shelter house.

Were you happy to see Azar’s end? Do you think it was a wise idea to start these new developments in the story at this point? Do share your thoughts about the episode.

Aamir Khan sends legal notice to Pakistani websites over ‘fake interview’

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has issued a legal notice to a handful of Pakistani websites for running a ‘fabricated’ interview of the actor regarding his film. The interview featured questions on religion with reference to Khan’s latest release PK, reports The Economic Times.

Anand Desai, Aamir’s legal representative who sent the notice on behalf of the actor, said he was wrongly attributed to the interview.

Desai shared: “Mr Aamir Khan was shocked to find an interview attributed to him on several Pakistani websites in relation to his latest film PK. He has never given such an interview. It is clearly a fabrication by someone trying to impersonate him, done with the intent of drawing visitors to their website, and is defamatory to our client.”

54b4ebc3aa163

He added: “The impersonation is a very serious infringement of our client’s rights, and we will take legal recourse. Mr Khan will be filing a criminal complaint with the Cybercrime Cell, Mumbai Police after he returns to Mumbai.”

Currently, the Dhoom 3 leading man is in the United States of America.

Though the origin of this interview could not be traced, it was evidently picked up by a number of websites. The most common title of the interview was ‘5 questions Aamir Khan answered about PK.’ Dawn is awaiting a response from the portal that appears to have published the first story.

Most websites have managed to remove the post after news of the legal notice became known. The post on Pakistan Ki Baatein now gives an error message. The website’s Facebook page describes itself as a site about “latest media trends in Pakistan”.

54b4f0170b9fa

The short bio reads: “Along with media, we are also blogging on positive topics regarding education, people etc in Pakistan except politics. Our aim is to show positive side of Pakistan. We will share every topic of media whether it will be from Pakistan drama industry, Pakistan film industry or from Bollywood that is in gossips of Pakistanis.”
