That Frustrating Moment…

0

Lights? Check! Camera? Check! Frustrating moments? Double check! Yes guys, ‘frustrating moments’ form a huge part of our dramas these days. When I say ‘frustrating moments’, I am referring to all those times when you feel like screaming, ‘I just can’t take it anymore!’ We all are addicted to watching dramas. But let’s admit it-sometimes, you find it impossible to watch the holier than thou heroine’s endless series of sacrifices. And at other times, it’s the villain’s devilish and unstoppable tactics that get on your nerves. There are moments when you DESPERATELY want either the protagonist to stand up for himself/herself or the antagonist to just shut up! The bottom line is that we all are familiar with that what-on-earth-am-I-watching feeling : P

Following is a list of the ‘frustrating moments’ we all experienced while watching these plays:

• MAAT

That frustrating moment when the only thing you could hear Aiman say was, ‘’Ammi, rehne dain. Saman abhi ‘bewaqoof’ hai.’’ Do you know what the most frustrating part was? That very ‘bewaqoof’ Saman snatched her sister’s fiancé! ‘Maat’ is actually the root of all sister-rivalry-based drama serials. It gained popularity because the concept was different and such a story had never hit the screens before. I admit – I watched it and found it engrossing too. But even now, I remember losing my temper every time Aiman defended her sister instead of giving her a shut-up call.

maat

• HUMSAFAR

That frustrating moment when all Khirad could blurt out was, ‘Mummy yeh aap kia keh rahi hain?!’And that too at the most crucial of times, when she was being smothered by false accusations! It’s not just our vulnerable heroine who made some blunders, but Mr. Asher also went out for a walk along the beach, leaving the love of his life all alone :P Please, don’t get me wrong-I myself am a die-hard fan of ‘Humsafar’, but Khirad’s constant repetition of this dialogue, and Asher’s sudden disappearance did put me off. But well, this drama WAS a masterpiece. No debate there!

• DIL-E-MUZTAR

That frustrating moment when Sila rejected the person who stayed by her side through thick and thin, and, instead, she reconciled with the guy who cheated on her, married his neighbor and not even gave her the importance she always deserved. Another exasperating aspect of the serial was the way Sila, despite knowing Zoya’s real intentions, never gave her a shut-up call. That not-saying ‘NO’ policy is something I always find utterly frustrating.

dem

• Shukk

Haye!! What should I say now? How about ‘that FRUSTRATING moment when it seemed that this horribly lingering play would just NOT come to an end?’ Enough said!

shak

• MIRAT UL UROOS

That frustrating moment when you had to hear the word ‘car’ 10 times per episode :P Honestly, the ‘car’ discussion went on for too long. ‘Mirat ul Uroos’ was indeed an interesting drama serial. However, they added unnecessary elements to it and prolonged it for no reason.

mirat ul uroos

• Muhabbat Subh Ka Sitara Hai

That frustrating moment when you come to realize that ‘weeping and sobbing’ are the only two things the protagonist, Romaisa can offer. Plus Nabeel and Romaisa’s obsession with almost every element/ornament/object/animal did come across as something unnatural and annoying.

msks

• RUBARU

That frustrating moment when you felt like getting some ear drops after listening to the constant rants of Shabeeh’s cousin, Kiran. Amidst all that, they completely ignored the focal point of the story and there were points when the viewers were left clueless as to what was going on in Shabeeh and Surmed’s lives. However, I liked the contrasting time periods they showed in this serial, and some episodes were really worth watching.

rubaru

• Ek Tamanna Lahasil Si

That frustrating moment when every next scene was more revolting than the last!
My my! If you were unfortunate enough to catch even a single glimpse of this sucking-the-happiness-out-of-you drama serial, you would definitely know what I am talking about!

ek tamana lahasil

Some of the serials I mentioned above are actually my favourites. So, the purpose of my article was not to criticize, but to entertain you guys! We have all seen and experienced such frustrating moments while watching dramas. But hey! Don’t we cling on to the dramas we are watching, no matter what? Sometimes the stories of our dramas just can’t progress without such moments. But unnecessarily prolonged exasperating elements make you lose your interest.

This was it folks! I hope you guys enjoyed reading the article. I would love to hear about some ‘frustrating moments’ that got on your nerves while watching dramas and plays!

Thar and Parkar festival starts off among tight security

0

The four day “Thar and Parkar Festival” in Mithi has started among tight security which features several cultural and sports events such as camel and horse races, musical concert and exhibition of local handmade handicrafts and embroidery.

Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Sardar Shah said that such events would greatly help in driving away the ‘ghosts of communal disharmony’ from the area.

Mr Shah said that followers of Sufis would foil nefarious designs of extremists and terrorists, who had struck at the heart of Sindh by unleashing violence at the Qalandar’s shrine, through dancing and singing and urged the general public, members of civil society and media persons to highlight positive aspects of the region to help encourage tourism in the area.

He said the Sindh government had organised the mega event to highlight culture, customs, traditions, hospitality, heritage and other beautiful features of the desert, which still had much to offer despite devastating droughts. It could rightly be called an open museum of nature, he said.

Thar had produced many artists and singers like the legendary Mai Bhagi, Ustad Sadiq Faqeer, Murad Faqeer and Mohen Bhagat who taught communal harmony and peace throughout the world, he said. He said the Sindh government was committed to serving singers and artists who were assets of the province.

MPA Dost Mohammad Rahimoon said the festival would provide a forum to people to showcase their rich culture and traditions for the entire world to see. The credit went to PPP leadership and Sindh government for improving the standard of people’s lived in the arid zone, he said.

Local singers Pancho Pakistani, Nizakat Sadiq Faqeer, Rajab Faqeer, Arif Faqeer, Nehal Nimano and others entertained the audience while prominent poets from Thar and other areas of Sindh including Saindad Sand, Piyaro Shivani, Khalil Kumbhar, Partab Shivani, Bharumal Amrani, Shahab Nohrio, Dileep Doshi Lohano, Bilawal Otho, Haji Sand and others read out their poetry at the festival. Mr Shah later inaugurated the Folk Music Academy established by known local singer Karim Faqeer.

Thank You For Banning Us India Says Adnan Shah Tipu

A huge fiasco went on when India initially banned Pakistani artists more specifically Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan from working in Bollywood. Their movies Raees and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil where Fawad had a cameo came under a lot of fire. Consequently, there were no more projects for the stars. Recently, an Indian minister talked about banning Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Saba Qamar who did Hindi Medium is also not going to be a part of the sequel. So, India has officially banned Pakistani artists to work in any of their media.

India Officially Bans Pakistani Artists!

Albeit almost entire industry chose to stay quiet on the topic but Adnan Shah Tipu who has worked in Bollywood previously had something to say. In a video on Shahroz Sabzwari’s facebook he said,

“Thank you for banning us. You have given us a chance to make an Amitabh Bachchan, Naseeruddin Shah and other big stars in Pakistan. You banned Pakistani players from Indian Premiere League (IPL), but then Pakistan Super League (PSL) happened.”

The actor has worked in numerous Bollywood projects such as Himesh Reshammiya’s Kajraare and Arshad Warsi’s Welcome to Karachi. Talking about his experience while working across the border, Tipu said,

I have worked in India. People showed me a lot of love. But what does this ban mean? You don’t get our bread and butter. It is up to God.Your ban doesn’t change two facts. Facts that no one should ever forget. First, your paternity. Second, your nationality. My father’s name is Ghazanfar Ali Shah. I’m from Faisalabad, Dhobi Ghat, Pakistan. That’s not going to change,”

Thank You For Banning Us India Says Adnan Shah Tipu

The Maalik star further added,

“I did a film in 2007. I wasn’t starving back then. Therefore, because of your ban, neither Fawad Khan nor Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will starve. Pakistan is my mother. If I say anything to your mother, you will feel offended. Likewise, if you say anything about my mother, will I be ecstatic about it?”

He concluded,

“So, here’s what I have to say. Go play your game, we will play ours. You’ve banned us. Thank you very much.”

“Pakistan above all.”

All his followers on facebook had nothing but love for this man for taking a stand while the rest of our industry is restraining from giving any response.

Have something to add to the story?

Thank You drama-makers for making issue based dramas

In this day & age, people tune to the dramas for the sake of entertainment, but things get even more enticing when the drama-makers turn this entertainment into info-tainment. There was a time & perhaps still is where we are got to see dramas that served no purpose at all, that is why the dramas which had an underlying message grabbed the attention of the viewers & looked like a breath of fresh air. By touching this subject, we are taking a little step in appreciating the efforts of those drama-makers who are using this platform for the purpose of educating the audience while still entertaining them. Entertainment becomes better when it has a message attached to it because that way, the drama-makers convince the audience to think about different issues that prevail in the society. It was about time that drama-makers directed their attention towards the subjects other than the marital problems or family politics, that is why the dramas that revolved around the bigger & important issues hit home with the audience instantly.

Have a look at what our stance is & how we appreciate the shift in the approach of the drama-makers:

Thaam Lo By Atif Aslam Is Out!

In 2014, after 15 long years of dating, Terry and Tammy finally decided to tie the knot. The couple spontaneously married while they were on a trip to Hawaii. The vow exchange was over six years ago now, and the couple is still going strong. While Terry and Tammy Bradshaw have only been married for six years, they have been together for well over 20 years. Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Pakistani dramas are watched all over the world now. Our dramas have a massive set and environment problem as all the dramas are shot in the same two villas and no innovation is ever sought to make anything interesting. Styling the characters is another department which can make a show visually appealing and more people will look forward to them. But this is another part where the makers lag big time and sometimes even a good character is ruined by bad or out of place styling. Bad styling syndrome is affecting many on-air dramas right now. Here is a list of current Pakistani dramas with bad and out of place styling:

Laiba Khan In Kaffara

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Laiba Khan played the lead role in blockbuster Kaffara. She was paired with Ali Ansari who plays a rich and suave Salar. Laiba’s character Sitara is a middle class girl for half of the show and her styling there is understandable. But she did not improve even after getting married to a man like Salar. Her wedding dress to her day to day outfits looked drab. Moreover, the makeup team aged her when she is very young in real life. How styling should change with financial status was correctly depicted by Ayeza Khan in Mere Paas Tum Ho and something similar should have been adapted by Laiba Khan which was not the case.

Ushna Shah In Ghair

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Ushna Shah is a beautiful and talented actress. She has done some very out of the box characters with Alif Allah Aur Insan, Balaa and even Parizaad but she is playing the typical damsel in distress in the newly on-air drama Ghair. Ushna’s character is supposed to this abandoned girl who is not owned by her father, thrown away from her adoptive family and she works in the kitchen all day. But her hair is perfectly coiled and blow dried even in the morning. A perfect example of out of place styling.

Kinza Razzaq In Dil e Nadan

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Dil e Nadan has turned out to be the biggest joke on television. A very talented cast has been wasted on a script that is simply mindless. Kinza Razzaq plays the vamp/hero’s ex who is obsessed with him. Her character is supposed to be ultra-rich with everything done to perfection but her styling has been a hit and a miss. She looks good in some places while her tops look to be from Sunday Bazar in the others. There is a serious lack of consistency in her styling and her makeup is also horrible in some parts of the show.

Munazzah Arif

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Dil e Nadan has another styling disaster with Munazzah Arif. She plays a very rich woman who should have expensive jewellery and the right choice of outfits but her styling is not doing justice to her character. She was supposed to look like Farida from Humsafar but she ended up looking like a character from Baby Baji 2 OST. Her hairdos and jewellery are not doing her any good and they seem out of place in every scene.

Shaheera Jalil Al Basit In Aakhri Baar

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Shaheera Jalil Al Basit is a great new addition to the industry. She looked fabulous in her debut project Razia. She looked young, radiant and performed brilliantly in the series. Shaheera was also a great addition in Burns Road Ke Romeo Juliet but her styling is bad in Aakhri Baar. The makeup department specifically let her down as her foundation tones are wrong and they have caked her makeup hiding her beautiful skin unnecessarily.

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Duniyapur is the most expensive show on-air right now. There has been a lot of effort done on the sets, supporting cast as well as outfits of the lead characters. However, the ladies of Duniyapur except Ramsha Khan seem to have a lack of funds. Their outfits look cheap while the jewellery is also not matching up with their Adam and Nawab personas.

Hiba Ali Khan In Jaan Nisar

Terrible Styling In Current Pakistani Dramas

Hiba Ali Khan plays the vampish Kashmala in Jaan Nisar. Hiba is a beautiful woman with a great sense of style but her styling as Kashmala is hideous. She is wearing the cheapest jewellery despite being the bahu of the Ghaznavi family twice over. Her outfits are unnecessarily loud and look out of place. She should have looked similar to Hina Bayat who is playing the Ghaznavi family matriarch. Hiba was cheated in styling as Kashmala and things could have been much better.

Alizeh Shah In Ishq Beparwah

Ishq Beparwah is yet another drama with a very naive heroine. Alizeh Shah plays Jannat and the makeup for her character is mostly ruining her overall styling. The makeup is thick and cakey and sticks out like a sore thumb in every scene. Alizeh is a beautiful girl and things should have been kept simpler like her styling as Dua in Ehd e Wafa.

Aina Asif in Woh Ziddi Si is playing the negative character. Her character is once again facing the makeup issue. Her makeup paired with perfectly curled hair is out of place. She is playing a teenage student who should look a lot more raw and natural and not perfectly styled all the time. This is aging her far more than she really is.

Hira Khan plays a negative character in Aik Chubhan Si. Her character needs to be a siren who can trap people with her looks. With respect to what she is playing in the drama, her styling is very mediocre and she is not looking the part at all.

Teri Raza Last Episode Review – Halala Haul!

Seriously, what was this? Like I always said, the writer had a lot of sympathy with a pathetic character of Suhana that is why she made sure that everything fell into its place for her & she got away with everything. I remember when I was reviewing this drama, I always said & believed that the writer was showing Suhana as a victim & I got challenged by a commenter saying that this was not what the writer was trying to portray. In fact, the commenter said that in the end the writer will show Suhana paying a huge price for her mistakes, basically using her character to show how grave the consequences can be but oh well, it’s pretty clear that I was right all along. The writer only showed Suhana as a victim of her wrong desires & she also tried to made a very sickly twisted point that no matter what, you are totally entitled to make mistakes, even if it means getting divorced, tossing your decent hushand aside, going on a test drive of a marriage & when you are done experiementing, you can always come back because hey, you are some royalty & you will get what you want since you fell in love with your ex husband after all.

I really think the writer of this drama should not only be ashamed but bid farwell to an art called scriptwriting because this is so not her cup of tea. I really wish the writer Naila Ansari feels ashamed that she glorified Halala which actually is a severe punishment & is not something which should be treated so lightly. Naila Ansari needs to know that writing a drama & characters is no easy feat, so she should leave this to those who are good at it at least.

When this drama began, the concept of Istikhara was twisted too & it became evident that the writer herself wasn’t too sure therefore she merged different concepts which weren’t coherent with Islamic concepts of Istikhara. The entire focus on Badshaghuni showed that the writer was a bit too obsessed with Bollywood, hence the over usage of this word. Even in this episode, Suhana said ‘mai kitnay bhi JANAM le loon & some stuff like that’, like seriously? What is the writer trying to convey here? Since when do we get to have Janams & more than that, who speaks like that? Why so inspired by Bollywood? Janam? I want to know which number of Janam did the writer have to write this gibberish? May be she will need a few more to mature as a writer!!!

After literally breaking the arms, legs, bones & everything of Istikhara, the writer now went to show that it you fail at marriage(s), Halala’s the way to go? Like seriously? What gives them the right to pick such complex, intricate & sensitive subjects & treat them so casually with such disrespect only for the sake of ratings?

The writer contradicted herself because Suhana got married to protect her family from some badshaghuni but later tossed Imtiyaz aside while completely forgetting that she was still going against Istikhara? The writer also showed infidelity as if it was Suhana’s right because she was having a hard time getting over her boyfriend & her love for him, while still enjoying the luxuries that her husband was providing her!!!

Another funniest thing about this entire story was the fact that everyone was stuck in a rut & didn’t move on even after being not related to each other. Suhana was involved with Rameez when she got married to Imtiyaz, later when she got married to Rameez, she was having heart to hearts with Imtiyaz. Jeena got ditched by Rameez but she was still chasing after him. Seema was another desperado who couldn’t get over Imtiyaz even when he was married to Suhana. Talat kept on calling Rameez’s mother to worsen the matters that too when Suhana was married to Imtiyaz! What a bunch of loons!

This entire episode was also just so haphazard. What was the point of showing that Suhana went missing & then she was at the hospital? Rameez was nowhere to be seen in the rest of the episode after first few minutes where he made tall claims that he’d shoot Imtiyaz & Suhana? Looks like Jeena’s reminder pushed him under the burrow & he decided to stay there & never come out. Also, all of a sudden for 1 scene, Zafar suffered a loss & recovered immediately because of Suhana? I mean seriously? Considering it was the last episode, they still couldn’t end things decently. It was amusing that after treating her father like a nobody & literally misbehaving with him for Rameez’s sake, Suhana was now playing the good daughter game with him. Oh yes, shouldn’t Sitara have contacted Seema when she fell sick? Suhana was never the wise, the courteous, the care taker sort of a person, so why did she call her & not her daughter in law to-be? I must say, the ridiculousness of this entire episode surpassed the hidous cut paste job that was done in those scenes where it was suggested that Imtiyaz was out of the country!!!

Oh well, coming to the last scene, when & why did Imtiyaz come to Suhana’s place on the day of his marriage, where he should have been getting ready to go to the venue to get married to Seema? Chalain jee, now that Suhana realized that she was in love with Imtiyaz, she got him in the end. I must say the nod that Imtiyaz did as if he was saying ‘chal pagli’ was so cringe worthy, it was like he completely forgot that she cheated on him & got married to someone else. That nod literally made it seem that for Imtiyaz what Suhana did was nothing & as if all she did was burn his breakfast! It is absolutely appalling to see that for the sake of ratings, the writers are coming up with such scripts where there is no story, no depth, no message & all that they are promoting is cheating, divorce, infidelity, halala & what not – all that isn’t something to be glorified!!!

Sanam Baloch shouldn’t have said yes to a project like this but I guess she got caught up in doing a favor to Fahad Mustafa. The dialogue ‘kyunki mai Suhana hoon’ was so petty, haan bhai tum jaisa psychi aur dheet koi aur ho bhi nahi sakta. I am still nodding my head in denial as I can’t believe that Sanam Baloch was promoting this drama as a next big thing. Hate to say this but she has lost her charm & even her acting is not as impactful as it used to be. Sarmad Khoosat did a decent job as Imtiyaz & Shehroz Sabzwari, I mean app thakte nahi hain aik ke baad aik flop de de ke? I mean Chain Aye Na ke baad bhi appko Chain Nahi Aya? Anyways, please share your thoughts about Teri Raza which should’ve been named as ‘Laut Ke Budhu Ghar Ko Ai’.

Teri Raza Episode 9 & 10 Review – Ridiculous!

Ohkay so, going by the previous 2 episodes, just when I was beginning to feel that the story & the characters of this drama were now starting to make some sense, this episode came as a ride that evokes motion sickness & makes you nauseous. The story & the characters were once again all over the place & the amount of screaming that happened in this particular episode has left me temporarily deafened. It is amusing to see the writer’s thought process where she is creating one unrealistic scenario after another to keep Suhana & Rameez linked with each other, so much so that almost the entire time I am left wondering where does this happen & on which planet?

I am not too sure what to make out of Suhana’s character, like in the previous episode, she was furious that her cousin Seema got a ride from Imtiyaz to the hospital when her mother was suddenly hospitalized, so much so that Suhana ended up misbehaving with her only to later apologize. It was quite considerate of Imtiyaz to bring Seema to his home & politely requesting her to clear off any misunderstanding that Suhana had. Even though it was Suhana who told Imtiyaz that he shouldn’t have put Seema in an awkward position but for Imtiyaz, Suhana’s peace of mind mattered the most & he made sure to do everything that would guarantee it. To me, Suhana is just like an immature, spoiled brat who wants things her way, even though she is not into this marriage but she didn’t appreciate Seema’s candidness with Imtiyaz? Why so? I am sure this was not because Suhana has become a bit possessive about her husband, it was more like Suhana didn’t have anything to create an issue over, so she grabbed this opportunity to keep her face forlorn for a couple of days more!

Even though Kiran’s character in Kankar had quite a substance but by the end of the drama even she started to irk me, for the reason that she was turning out to be someone who didn’t want anyone to say anything to her & for the exact same reason, Suhana reminded me of Kiran in these episodes as well. Yes, she is trying hard to fulfill her wifely duties but then she is still doing everything to let Imtiyaz know that she is not into this relationship emotionally & mentally & the moment someone says something to her, she goes into ‘mujhe kuch kyun kaha’ mode.

This episode was ridiculous if I have to describe it in one word. Apart from Imtiyaz, every single character was behaving ridiculously & for what reason, I am sure even the writer has no answer to that. It is so obvious that the writer wants to keep Suhana & Rameez linked to each other that is why such ridiculous situations keep on arising which make no sense whatsoever. As if Talat wasn’t enough that even Zafar decided to participate in the circus that his wife was a ring-master of. Just because Imtiyaz recommended Suhana’s friends in his firm for a job, both Talat & Zafar thought it was a good idea to tell Imtiyaz that his wife’s ex-boyfriend is one of the guys who has submitted his CV in his firm? Like seriously? Who would’ve thought of that & why? Why does Talat has these pangs every now & then that compel her to convey it to Imtiyaz that Suhana was dating someone before getting married to him? At one hand she wants Suhana to do everything to make this marriage work & on the other, she herself is doing everything to destroy it. Talat’s fixation with Rameez is beyond me. If Suhana & Imtiyaz have a spat, she calls up Rameez’s mother, now if he applied for a job in Imtiyaz’s firm (which he didn’t), she once again linked it to Suhana & called his mother? I wish Talat & Zafar had more kids because then they’d stop obsessing over Suhana’s ex boyfriend & do something productive.

The entire ex-boyfriend’s mother kidnapping Suhana was such a hilarious scenario & then to add more to the non-serious approach, Rameez’s father Sultan ended up faking a heart-attack to help Suhana run away from his wife’s house-arrest? Seriously? Suhana’s claim that wo Rameez ki aur Rameez uska kya lagta hai was so OTT, but then everyone in this mental family is OTT so no wonder why she was behaving this way. The amount of screaming & yelling that happened in this episode was sickening, like even after muting the TV I could still hear their howling. I must say, the award for coming up with the worst assumptions goes to Manzura, like no surprises why she behaves like a lunatic too, I am sure Suhana’s family has had quite an influence on her. I lol’ed when she told Talat that may be someone had shot Rameez & now Talat will be facing the brunt for it? Uf!

I am sure in the middle of all this, as per the preview, Seema will now try to call to dibs on Imtiyaz, since she is just as desperate as Suhana Desperatana & she has clearly seen that Suhana is still in love with Rameez & Imtiyaz holds no importance in her life, so she will try to make the most of the situation because even she has been behaving like a dog without the bone for quite sometime now, so yep, she will be doing everything to grab the bone this time around. But there’s one thing that I find actually quite amusing, if something happens in Suhana’s life, Rameez is immediately contacted & then blamed, similarly if something happens to Rameez, everyone calls Suhana up as if she is his mother & she has adopted him? Like don’t these guys have a basic common sense that Suhana is now married so why do they assume that she’d be in contact with Rameez, keeping a hawk-eye on his each & every move? This story is beyond ridiculous & I think it can be only watched as a serious-comedy but yes, I will warn all the readers to turn the volume down because these guys are out there with an agenda to deafen you & they can succeed in it considering the amount of screaming they did. I must say I am so disappointed in Sanam Baloch’s overall choice of character & even the portrayal, she has lost her charm, she has clearly forgotten how to act & I think she needs to sit back & revisit her choices if someone (after such a substandard performance) approaches her for another drama! Please share your thoughts about these two episodes of Teri Raza!

Teri Raza Episode 8 Review – Surprisingly Decent!

Ohkay so, I never really thought I would find myself saying this but I must confess, I found this episode of Teri Raza quite interesting, lol. I know this will come as a surprise but I have a good explanation for it. This happened because after weeks of torture, I found one decent character in this play who I found realistic & relate-able & yes, that is Imtiyaz. It doesn’t mean that I would stop calling him Paa Mmtyaz but at least he seems sane one out of the lot, for now. I am also going to say that the loopholes of the story are still there, there are still so many unreasonable things, conversations & dialogues in this drama that make me question its purpose but overall, this episode was surprisingly & fairly decent!

Well, just when Suhana found herself stuck in this marriage, Imtiyaz, like a doting husband started making amends only to make her feel comfortable & loved. Imtiyaz has started changing himself to fit the image that Suhana had in her mind of her life partner but looks like there’s nothing that is going to ever please Suhana in regards to this marriage because if Imtiyaz fixes one thing, she finds a reason to complain about the other, if he directs his energies on that matter, she opens a new case.

It is not a mystery anymore & the answer is pretty simple, Suhana doesn’t love/like Imtiyaz so there’s nothing that he would do would make her or her feelings change but then, in the middle of this for the first time I felt Imtiyaz was the one who was suffering. Yes, at first I did find him selfish but then like he said he always wanted to know if she was happy, at least he tried finding out about it before marriage & continued to find answer to this concern of his after his marriage too but since Suhana is so difficult, his simplest of methods, simplest of questions are being dissed & his confusion makes sense because he on his own is doing everything for her but it’s just not enough!

The writer here is trying to show that if someone is not in love, they can not lead a happy married life but then, Suhana is completely unreasonable because no one, absolutely no one forced her into this marriage & she herself was the one who took one for the team to protect them from Istikhara’s Badshaghuni, so if there’s someone she should be angry at, it is Suhana herself. She should blame herself first before blaming anyone. To be honest, I don’t feel a thing for her character nor do I find her or her struggles relate-able because as clichéd as it may sound but Imtiyaz has turned out to be a loving husband whereas Rameez not only betrayed her but he ditched her too, called her a gold digger, created a scene at her home, misbehaved with her mother, but still if she sees ‘him’ as an ideal man than by all means she can just jump off the roof & the viewers would be rejoicing, cheering & hooting because she is coming across as a psychopath!

I must say, I am ready to forgive Shehroz’s choice of T-shirt in this episode because of his dialogue ‘mai sir tor doonga’ which he used for Suhana’s mother, hahah! I laughed out loud at that moment & completely agreed with him because that entire scenario was so bizarre. First off, Suhana stuffed things up, she herself clearly told Imtiyaz that she isn’t happy because this wasn’t a love marriage & then immediately started posing as a toddler in front of her mother saying that she had ‘no’ idea why Imtiyaz was behaving differently, like she covered herself up & put the entire blame on Imtiyaz saying that he has grown suspicious, without even holding herself accountable for the bizarre behavior that she has portrayed ever since she has gotten married. So, anyways, she stuffed things up, like Suhana knows how to create a scene but when she had to make amends & had to fix things, she started acting like a fish out of the water, totally clueless like a child about what she should do & spoke to her mother & that mother, as weird as her name is, took the entire matter in another direction. It is so amusing that where Talat has ZERO control over her own princess-like daughter, she thinks she can control someone like Rameez who misbehaved with her right on her face? That entire scenario was so bizarre but the only best thing about it were the reactions of Rameez & his mother where they literally insulted Talat & treated her with disrespect because that is what she deserves. Not that I am a fan of his character of I am advocating him, but Rameez has given a complete closure to Suhana’s chapter, so it was absolutely unreasonable of Talat to even assume that he can harm Suhana’s already damaged, broken & imperfect relationship! It would’ve been so much better if in stead of speaking to Rameez’s mother, Talat had spoken to Suhana & had told her about the consequences that she would face. It’s like Talat herself doesn’t want Suhana to come to a complete closure about Rameez’s chapter, that is why she rekindled this done & dusted affair so that Suhana doesn’t forget about him! I swear, Talat is turning out to be one of the worst mothers I have seen on-screen, like anything that this woman says or do makes me cringe!!!

Imtiyaz tried to reason with Suhana & found out that she doesn’t love him, even then he seemed justified because he nullified Suhana’s theory of love missing from this relationship because if not from her side, there’s love in this marriage from his side at least. Well, it is quite obvious that the salty cousin, whatever her name is, is going to replace Suhana in Imtiyaz’s life but it is funny how she looks like a dog stuck with a bone because every single conversation that has taken place between Imtiyaz & her, has only revolved around how Suhana snatched Imtiyaz; the bone away from her? Like seriously girl, wearing a coat doesn’t make you look professional, your attitude needs to be professional as well, like who discusses family matters & incomplete un-knotted ‘rishtas’ at workplace? That salty cousin legit seems unhappy that she couldn’t bag Imtiyaz’s proposal, like gurl, get a life!

Along with Suhana, her atittude, everything about her, another thing that I found absolutely weird was her dialogue where she said ‘meri dost ne to khudh kushi bhi karne ki koshish ki thi’, like what sort of dialogues are these? In every other episode you find such dialogues that make you question writer’s mentality & sensibility. Seriously in this day & age are you promoting suicide as some kind of standard which people try to reach in order to prove their love? I wish the writer had understood that with the pen used for scripts, comes a greater responsibility too but oh well, chaat masala conversations leave quite an impression!

I must say this Jeena’s character is quite annoying, like seriously doesn’t she have anything better to do than to speak about Suhana in front of Rameez & vice versa? She seems obsessed & if she thinks she is coming across as a well-wisher then please someone borrow a pin & burst her bubble because she looks absolutely aimless & lifeless. It was so bizarre that she went through the pain of arranging a meeting with Suhana to inform her of what her mother did, like she could’ve just spoken to her over the phone. Then her claim that ‘Rameez aik bohat acha larka hai’, like excuse me? Appse kiss ne poocha? Weird!

Anyways, this episode had its weird moments because it wouldn’t be Teri Raza without such scenarios but other than that, I found Imtiyaz’s side of the story pretty decent & relate-able. Suhana’s character is a pain to watch & Sanam Baloch’s forlorn face is not helping either. Shehroz Sazbwari gets full points for that one dialogue that he said about another most annoying character Talat. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza!

Teri Raza Episode 7 Review – Chaat Masala!

Oh well, before even discussing this entire episode, I would like to talk about the note at which this episode ended; Suhana being distressed that the chef served Omlette & Ghee-clad Parathas for the breakfast & it was such a big deal & such a suspense provoker that the director decided to stop rolling the cameras for this episode, thinking people would be thrilled to see how this breakfast would turn out to be next week? LOL! I mean seriously, in the times when we get dramas that are exploring social issues, that are exploring new genres, we have been offered this drama where Chaat Masala ends up being a point of discussion. I must commend the writer for her creativity & the producers for literally wasting their money on a script like this!!!

So, this episode was all about Suhana & her roni boothi (forlorn face), yes, I won’t be sugarcoating because that’s what dramas & characters like these do to me. Paa Mmtyaz heard Suhana’s beautiful opinion about him & he was so hurt that he chose to discuss it with his mother like a teenager. Seriously, I still can’t wrap my heard around the fact that what was Imtiyaz thinking when he chose to get married to Suhana? Like he was wise enough to know that she is a girl half his age, so her priorities, her lifestyle, her routine, her likes & her dislikes are going to be completely opposite to his, so how did he expect her to become a ‘buddhi rooh’ like him that too in the beginning of the marriage when girls are on top of the world usually & enjoy the new routine so much?

I also wonder why did Imtiyaz get married? Like did he get married to get over with the boredom in his life? Or did he get married to have his wife placed as a show-piece in his house so that everyone knows that he owns that sort of showpiece too? Imtiyaz’s emphasis on work-load was so forced, like seriously, no matter how much of a workoholic you are, when you get married, even you get excited & plan things/activities beforehand with your wife-to-be. What was the point of showing Imtiyaz as such a well-established & financially sound man when he couldn’t even take a day off after his marriage to give his wife some time to adjust to their new life?

Finally, Imtiyaz let Suhana know that the reason why he chose to sleep on a sofa in the study was because he overheard her & that was the reason why Suhana felt she needed to do chores like fill the water glass for him at night to compensate? Seriously? As much as I see the problems with Imtiyaz’s forced innocence at the age of 40, I see just as many problems with Suhana too. Yes, they are showing that they both are incompatible but then again, it brings me to my point again that there was no reason for this marriage to happen. Suhana chose to go for this marriage to avoid Badshaghuni but isn’t she realizing that obsessing over her badtameez ex-boyfriend after her marriage is a bigger Badshaghuni too? Sporting a roni boothi throughout the day is another bigger Badshaghuni that can even tick the viewers off? Seriously at one point I was so frustrated with her expressions that I chose to forward her scenes! Also, what’s with the besharmi where she is openly saying that ‘Rameez mere dil mai hai’, ‘Suhana Rameez ki hai’ seriously? That guy literally called you a gold-digger & still believes in that & you’re crying over not being able to be with him?

Oh well, the writer here is showing how issues can be created over non-issues. Sleeping routines, Andas, Omlettes, Chaat Masalas, TV Shows & then Dressing, all these things can cause irreparable dent in your marriage which is only going to lead you to divorce. Seriously? There’s a limit to fooling viewers & there’s a limit to insulting the intelligence of the viewers as well. I laughed out loud when Suhana showed up in a Kurti & Jeans after being told that it was a corporate dinner, whereas in the scene where Imtiyaz told her about it, she was dressed perfectly for the occasion, but like I said, the writer is taking pride in turning the non-issues into issues, therefore that scene had to be added. Throughout the episode, Suhana was dressed as a newly wedded girl but the moment her husband tells her that they are going out for a dinner, she decides to pull out the university student in her? LOL!

So, the salty cousin is working with Imtiyaz & since she is so obsessed with Suhana, she can’t stop talking (read low-key badmouthing) about her. I am sure she is still salty that Suhana got married to the Budhi Rooh Pa Mmtyaz but I am sure she got the job in his office for a reason because later when Suhana & Imtiyaz will part ways, she will fill in the blank in Mmtyaz’s life. Oh the story is so new, so unique, so fresh, so unpredictable, it excites me to no end! Please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza & do let me know if you guys have found out the purpose of this drama, like I still am trying to find out what the writer was thinking & what was she trying to convey!

Teri Raza Episode 30 Review – Disaster At Its Peak!

Ohkay so, I am going to ask a very serious & important question ke writer ne kya kha ke Suhana ka character likha tha? I mean seriously, one can only say Tauba after seeing what this psychotic character is upto!

When I saw Suhana shedding tears I felt like throwing a punch on her face. She used to cry before, saying that her parents weren’t treating Rameez & Co. with respect, fine & now when her parents invited them over for dinner & treated them like a family, Suhana was again crying for a new set of reasons that she doesn’t want to go back, like seriously??? Does she even know how to be happy? Rameez was her so called happiness for which she forsake everything but now just because she has realized that Rameez was not an ideal & financially loaded man, the writer is giving her a clean chit, for what? Just because she has realized & apologized???

I think now that we have such weirdly named dramas like ‘Naseebon Jali’, ‘Mai Ma Nahi Banna Chahti’, no one would have batted an eyelid if the writer had named this drama as ‘Shadi Aik Gudda Guddi Ka Khel’, at least that would’ve made things crystal clear as to what the viewers should expect before tuning to this drama because this is exactly how Suhana is treating her marriage(s)!

Uf! This was the same father Suhana kicked out of her life because he called out on Rameez but now Suhana is like sticking to him, because she knows that only he is the one who can give her a luxury-laden life? If Suhana had known that her family wasn’t financially sound, she would have thought a million times before making a decision of leaving Rameez. No matter what her reasons are but she is acting like a typical rich spoiled brat who knows no matter what, she can do whatever she wants as her father is there.

It is amusing that now when Suhana has assessed Rameez & she has seen that he can’t even achieve an iota of wealth that Imtiyaz or Zafar have, she is now seeing him as a big mistake? Is she for real? When did Suhana Bibi become so practical that she decided to put everything before her feeling of ‘love’ for which she literally ruined everyone’s life & happiness!?!?! Suhana says she is sorry & does she really think that is going to be an excuse enough for another stuffed up marriage? LOL! I guess she was so adamant to have Rameez Badtameez respected, that she forgot to bring out the best in him & patiently teach him how to be responsible!

Seema & Jeena both need to get a life. They act like bunch of sore insecure losers who are obsessed with Suhana but then again, since the writer here is giving Suhana a clean chit every single time, no wonder why both Seema & Jeena are paranoid & dread that Suhana might come as a tsunami & wipe away their happiness!

I think if the writer really wants to convey a right message by showing what happens if someone goes against the Will of Allah, she should give Suhana a miserable ending where everyone else around is happy & settled & she is the one sulking alone, but I am pretty sure this won’t be happening as now the writer will show that by committing Halala, Suhana finally accepted Allah’s Raza after trying, testing & failing at her own raza. Seriously, hideousness just touched a sky! Please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza & I wish both Shehroz & especially Sanam had used their vocal chords miserly because their high pitched voices are intolerable!

Teri Raza Episode 29 Review – Ridiculous!

Ohkay so, yet another ridiculous episode filled with filler situations. I really do not understand why this drama hasn’t ended yet? Or are they aiming for 30+ episodes? The story (if there was one) has been going around in circles & everyone’s fixation with Suhana is bizarre. I still do not understand what the writer is trying to convey here!?!

It is absurd that every single time Suhana lets Rameez fool her? She is shown to be someone who is quite mature & analytical (supposedly), so why can’t she see that Rameez is a good-for-nothing who can only take loans to make her happy? Suhana cried a bucket & immediately Rameez arranged funds for her boutique, so why didn’t she even bother finding out how did he do so?

Seema closed the chapter of Suhana from her & Imtiyaz’s life, so what was the need to tell Jeena to invest in Suhana’s business? Jeena who got rejected by Rameez & insulted by Suhana time & again decided to help Suhana of all the people? If she had so much spare money, she could’ve invested it in a more lucrative business in stead of Suhana’s which is basically running on donations!

The way Suhana speaks about HER boutique as if she invested her money in it & ran the show without anyone’s help makes me laugh a lot. She really is delusional I must say. Time & again she gets taunted by Rameez yet she believes in him, but then it serves her right. I must say, the way the writer has shown zero growth in all these characters is something. The drama is about to end but Rameez stays good for nothing till now. Suhana stays a bechari & Imtiyaz stays andha. Commendable isn’t it?

I must say the writer should never take a pen in her hand & attempt writing again if this is what she has come up with. I am sure this is going to turn into Halala story only to show that Suhana finally accepted & chose Allah’s raza over her own raza which is Imtiyaz over Rameez. Please don’t tell me the writer is trying to justify Halala here & glorifying it by showing that if your second marriage doesn’t work, you always have an option of going back to your ex-husband? It is sickening that the writer is showing Suhana as a victim who is now suffering so much due to her wrong decision & in the end she will have a happy ending with Imtiyaz, without paying for all the wrongs that she has done. It is ridiculously cheap & petty!!! Anyways, the only best thing that happened in this episode was Rameez’s mother’s comment about Suhana, that she is a zehni mareez, couldn’t agree more! Teri Raza Episode 28 Review – Ridiculous!

Another week, another ridiculous episode of Teri Raza. I must say the character of Suhana really makes you question writer’s sensibility & mentality, matlab kamal ka dheet character likha hai wo bhi itna anokha!

Just because Seema held her ground, she convinced everyone that things had to change which was good & also expected from a woman of Seema’s stature who is groomed, educated, sensible & most importantly respects herself & knows her rights, unlike certain someone who thinks the entire world revolves around her & everyone has to take care of her whiney existence. It was good that Sitara also convinced Imtiyaz & he gave in!

LOL! Just a single notice from Imtiyaz was enough for Suhana to declare him as the worst human being alive, why? Because he stopped pampering her, lol! Talk about being selfish to the core. Just few days back she saw him as the best person on the entire planet even better than her own father because he was taking care of her kharcha pani & when he decided to draw a line & stop spoonfeeding her, she started seeing him as a culprit.

I just don’t understand what Suhana’s issue with her father is? She actually wants him to give everything to her in a golden platter that too on her terms & conditions? For someone who has absolutely nothing & has done nothing in her life, has achieved literally nothing, she has quite a bit ego!

Imtiyaz’s fixation with empowering (read babysitting) Suhana is beyond me. Not sure if he will be able to keep his promise with Seema this time around too. Also, does Jeena has any life of her own or she just hovers around Rameez to taunt him? Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 27 Review – Cringe Worthy!

Ohkay so, to be honest, I enjoyed this episode for a weird reason & that was because Suhana was getting bashed from every side. I loved how Suhana was getting exposed & on top of that she was being mistreated by Rameez but then again, the writer has made her this royalty who can get away with everything that is why, the punishment that she was getting had less or no impact!

Suhana claimed that she was not in contact with Imtiyaz, but did she really think people are going to buy that since she runs a business owned & financed by him? I literally cringed so hard the moment Suhana called & cried in front of Imtiyaz? Why is it that the oh so Khud-dar Suhana only now cries in front of Imtiyaz because she knows that he will take care of her financial burdens? It was just so typical of her to call & shed a few tears saying Seema was insulting her? If Suhana had an ounce of dignity or respect, she would have kept things to herself & had tried taking care of the business on her own. Just because Suhana knows she has Imtiyaz’s support, she thinks no one is entitled to say anything to her, not even her father! It is amusing that Suhana didn’t mind estranging her father because she got another Godfather who now deems her as his responsibility!

The writer is now trying to present Suhana as a damsel in distress because Rameez is totally different to what she expected him to be but then again, that is her own fault isn’t it, because she very well knew what sort of an irresponsible person Rameez was, so why did she get married to him expecting him to change? It is funny, Suhana was unhappy with Imtiyaz even after he was taking care of everything that she ever wanted & now she is again unhappy with the man of her dreams because he is not what she expected him to be & he isn’t changing? To be honest, when I see her mother in law scheming with Rameez so that Suhana keeps on working makes me think it definitely serves her right!

Imtiyaz really should have known better. It was sad that Suhana ended up ruining Seema & Imtiyaz’s relationship once again & what’s bizarre was that she chose to play innocent saying she had no idea why Imtiyaz took such a decision, like really? Seema did the right thing by barging into her home & insulting her because this is exactly what she deserves but unfortunately, Suhana is beizzati proof! Talat leaves me speechless, she insults Suhana & then scurries back to pacify her, no wonder why Suhana is so messed up, because her parents failed at parenting!

The preview of the next episode was filled with cringe alerts too. Suhana will once again come face to face with her father, seriously? We are done with Suhana’s mohim of seeking izzat for her good-for-nothing spouse jiss ki wo khud izzat nahi karti. Also, in the preview Suhana was heard saying ‘Imtiyaz ne mujhe chora, tum to mujhe nahi choro ge na’, seriously? Is she really implying that Imtiyaz was disloyal & not sincere with her? Is she using that card to play the victim again? Has she actually forgotten that she created a havoc in Imtiyaz’s life & cheated on him because of which he set her free basically doing her a favor so that she can be with Rameez but oh well, what can be expected from such a conceited, arrogant & selfish character. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 26 Review – Torture!

Ohkay so, not that it had any purpose when it began but still, the recent turn of events are making it look like the writer herself got confused midway as to what she was trying to prove or convey, that is why everything that has been happening now isn’t making much sense to be honest!

I think in stead of naming this drama as Teri Raza, the writer should have gone for Suhana Ki Raza, because even though everything has happened according to her wish, she still finds a way to whinge about one thing or the other! First, Suhana was unhappy with Imtiyaz, she got rid of him & got married to Rameez; now she is unhappy with him too but just because she can not admit it due to her big ego, she is now unhappy with her father for reasons best known to the writer. When Suhana got married to Rameez, she was mad at her parents that they are not concerned about her, but later when they did some gestures out of sheer concern for their daughter, she still found a reason to be mad at them? Seriously, I fancied the notion when Suhana told Imtiyaz that she should die because such an unreasonably unhappy soul would find solace that way!

Oh yes, Suhana repeatedly said that she has started to understand a few things, which obviously are related to Rameez & his attitude but then, if she is mad & unhappy, it doesn’t mean she can use her parents as punching bags because things didn’t go according as per her liking! I feel happy everytime I see Rameez mistreating her because this is what she deserves. Suhana cries about the fact that everyone thinks she is the culprit but then why doesn’t she feel bad when she blames her parents for every single thing that has gone wrong in her life?

Imtiyaz is still stuck in the past, that is why he makes sure to let Suhana know that he is still there for her. I cringe when I now see Suhana confiding in Imtiyaz as he understands her, because if that’s the case then why didn’t she develop any understanding when she was actually married to him?

It was good that Seema tried to show Suhana a mirror but then she is someone who doesn’t believe in seeing her own faults, that’s why she chose to ignore everything that Seema said. Also, it is so irritating that Suhana uses her relationship with Imtiyaz as something to boast about because in order to put Seema down, she made sure to remind her that she was once married to Imtiyaz!?!?! This girl is in literal sense messed up. Also, another thing that Suhana was unhappy about was Imtiyaz & Seema’s engagement. She reminds me of those spoiled teenagers who think the entire universe revolves around them & when their bubble is burst they throw a hissy fit & Suhana is exactly doing the same! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza!

PS: Does anyone know when this drama ends?

Teri Raza Episode 25 Review – Ridiculous!

Seriously, where has the story of this drama gone to? It is so obvious that the makers of Teri Raza are so not in a mood to end it that is why they are adding one hideous scenario after another to just churn out more & more episodes.

Where the focus should be on Suhana & the makers should be hurrying up in giving closure to her track, they shifted the entire focus on Talat, Zafar & Daadi as if the viewers were going to be thrilled seeing their story? When the side characters start taking more screen time, that’s when you know the writer has nothing left to show.

Talat met Suhana despite being told not to by her husband Zafar. Where Talat fixed her matters with Suhana, she ended up getting the threat of divorce by her husband? It is so amusing how these guys behave so dramatically over things only to later forget what they said before.

To be honest, seeing Daadi behaving like a lunatic actually scared me because I had a feeling that all the viewers of Teri Raza including me might end up like her, clueless & lunatic if this drama wouldn’t end in the near future. I am sure since Daadi is bored, has nothing to do & is quirky, she came up with a plan to act like this, in order to make Zafar realize that he can’t live without Talat, but then again, can anyone tell me, what is the purpose of all this?

Imtiyaz is still not over Suhana, so if this is how he was going to behave then what was the point of divorcing her? Well, for the first time Suhana felt that she ruined her relationship with Imtiyaz after she saw how much her mother was concerned even after her father threatened her with divorce, but then again it is going to be of no use since Suhana’s ego is too big to admit that she committed a huge blunder by getting married to Rameez.

It is funny how Suhana’s life has become a lie, she lied to her mother saying her husband makes a lot of money whereas in reality, all he does is play games on his phone! Seema’s concerns are valid & she is justified in feeling awkward about the way Imtiyaz is still not over Suhana & how he is still taking care of her expenses? Suhana really sounds like a hypocrite when she speaks about ‘khud-dari’ because if she would have been khud-dar, she wouldn’t have shamelessly accepted financial support from Imtiyaz, her ex-husband, the one she resented & despised! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 24 Review – Once A Whiner, Always A Whiner!

Seriously, Suhana is the worst character that I have come across in ages. It was so amusing seeing her fighting for her husband & his parents’ respect whereas her husband has done nothing for which he & his family should be respected.

I was actually surprised that the episode started off on a positive note where things were smooth between Suhana & Rameez but oh my God the amount of screaming that started happening in a few seconds left me deafened temporarily. To be honest, Suhana is mentally unstable, that is the only explanation one can accept behind such an unreasonable behavior of hers! It is sickening seeing her blaming her parents again & again whereas she has been someone who did everything as per her own wishes. She got married to Imtiyaz because it was her own call, ruined that relationship because of herself too, now again she got married to the guy she wanted so why is she creating a havoc in her parents’ life? They allowed her to get married to Rameez & sent a few things out of concern, so she should be thankful in stead of insulting them again & again!

To be honest, seeing how unreasonable Rameez is, all I could say was that it serves her right. Was Suhana not aware of how immature & jobless Rameez was that she expected ‘khuddari’ from him? It was so funny that he was promising her moon & stars over what? Her father’s credit card? LOL! Also, I think it’s rich coming from Suhana where she spoke about standing on her own feet & fending for herself because hello miss, you are forgetting that the car you are using was sponsored by Imtiyaz & the business that you are running was financially established by Imtiyaz as well? Suhana should have looked into her father’s eyes IF she was a self-made woman. Also, it is amusing that she rubs her marriage with Imtiyaz on her parents’ face like they did some huge zulm on her while completely ignoring the perks that came with that marriage like a car & a proper business? Wow!

The showdown between Suhana & Zafar was so pathetic. They should have shown that her parents, after so much of batameezi threw her out of their lives but then again, being parents, they are putting up with every tantrum of Mrs. Badtameez. The fact is, Suhana knows she screwed up, so in stead of addressing the issue, she is looking for punching bags & that at the moment are her parents because she is used to whinning! I am sure it was suggested that her parents were still doing everything for her but I don’t understand, when Zafar has not even accepted Rameez, why would he be so stupid to handover his credit card to him? If he wanted to help, he should have given it to Suhana directly to show that he still cared as this was Suhana’s first complaint that they estranged her, so not sure what were they trying to prove by doing everything behind her back? Seriously, even though I totally believe what Suhana is putting her parents through is not justified BUT her parents are insane too. At one hand they would turn a blind eye & on the other they would hand over a credit card to her husband, the same guy they haven’t really accepted? How messed up!

Imtiyaz really needs to snap out of his fixation with Suhana. He left her on his own terms so there’s no point in being indulged in her thoughts! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this BEAUTIFUL noise pollution free episode of Teri Raza!

Teri Raza Episode 23 Review – Negative Nancy!

Another week, another ridiculous episode of Teri Raza. I must say it is absolutely necessary for the writer to explain her mind set, her thought process in regards to Suhana’s character, like what was she trying to achieve by showing a character like her? So many episodes have passed & the purpose of this story remains a mystery!

Suhana is one such person who no matter what, finds a way to remain unhappy. When she herself chose to get married to Imtiyaz, she degraded everyone around her & blamed them for her unhappiness but now when she got married to the love of her life, I thought she’d be over the moon but that wasn’t the case. Suhana fought this entire case for the sake of her own happiness so now when she got what she wanted, why was she so upset? It seems Suhana sees her parents as punching bag, that is why now again she was blaming them for not paying much attention to her? Suhana knew that getting married to Rameez would cause a dent in her relation with her parents so why is she expecting so much? Suhana is someone who wants to be everyone’s center of attention & since that is not happening, she is again upset?

I really do not understand what the writer is trying to establish by showing ex spouses in contact with one another? Suhana couldn’t connect with Imtiyaz when she was married to him & now he’s the first person who pops in her mind whenever she feels like venting out? Looks like the writer doesn’t know a basic phenomenon called ‘moving on’, which is what people do when they end a relationship. Chalo, at first they showed that both Imtiyaz & Suhana spoke by accident but then later Imtiyaz knew that Suhana hurt her foot? Who told him that? & why? Definitely it was Suhana who did it, so again why? Now when she is married to Rameez, he is all she ever wanted so why is there a space in her life to connect with Imtiyaz? What for? Also, it is such a shame to see Suhana shamelessly using the car that her ex-husband gifted her & making the money over the business which he sponsored for her!?!?! When this girl has everything going for her then why is she not happy???

Rameez & even his mother think that Suhana shouldn’t cut ties with her parents & their motive is very clear, it is only because they know that Suhana comes from an affluent family & her parents are financially sound so they don’t want to miss the opportunity of getting any kind of advantages because of that!

I thought Suhana’s parents would be yearning for her & she’d be too busy living her dream life with Rameez but that wasn’t the case as she was acting all salty that her parents estranged her? Suhana is a nightmare & I loved when all of her apprehensions were proven wrong by Manzura when she informed Suhana that Rameez took her parents’ help in paying the hospital bills. It is good that now Suhana’s negative energies will be redirected towards Rameez & her parents will be spared because they never were at fault in the first place. Yes, Suhana’s parents are worst written characters too but at least they are not at fault, that is why I am siding with them because I feel they do not deserve what Suhana is putting them through.

I still can not get over the fact that Sanam Baloch chose such a negative character to make a come back? I have started finding Sanam Baloch irritating because of her image as Suhana. Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza & oh don’t forget to wish Suhana good luck as she has to count garlic cloves & green chillies everyday (serves her right)!

Teri Raza Episode 22 Review – What Was Sanam Baloch Thinking?

Ohkay so, I am not sure what’s worse, the direction or the editing, or both? Seriously nothing in this episode was making sense because not even a single scene was in continuity with the preceding one & it was making Suhana look even worse than she is! Anyways, when the story on the whole doesn’t make sense then what’s the point!

To be honest the intial scene where Talat & Zafar were acting like newly weds was the most awkward scene I have seen till date. It literally made me say ‘paglon ka tola’, & as if that wasn’t enough that Talat had to wear a purple lipstick as if she had snake venom for brekkie that day, like seriously what was the whole point of that scene & then Rameez had the audacity to show up? LOL! Kal tak to Talat & Zafar couldn’t stand the sight of Suhana & now they were dancing to her tunes & were dressing up for some fancy dress competition? Haha!

In one scene Suhana had no shame in planning her dream honeymoon with Rameez but in the very next scene she was actually burnt that Imtiyaz got engaged to Seema? Is she even for real? She goes like ‘ye dekho Imtiyaz ke kartoot’ so what does she think of her own kartoot where she was having an extra marital affair while still playing the hubby wifey game with Imtiyaz & even faking a pregnancy? I totally believe that anyone in their right state of mind would never be able to conceive a character like Suhana, so it speaks a lot about the writer’s mentality, also not sure what was Sanam Baloch thinking when she chose to play Suhana?

The fact that Suhana in stead of seeing her faults sees herself as a victim makes her character even more detestable than it might be. Rameez was always a loser who even accused her of being a gold-digger & now again, he thashed her character saying may be she wanted 2 men in her life & she was still alright with it, so much so that she decided to do baghawat for Rameez who doesn’t wear tameez ki kameez!!!

The whole scenario where Imtiyaz was walking aimlessly like a zombie didn’t make any sense, matlab Paa Mmtyaz kal tak to mangni kar ke theek the, aj kya hua? Please don’t tell me this is going to be another Halala story where the ultimate roti surat, ultimate nashukri Suhana will now realize that Imtiyaz was a better husband than Rameez, so she will go back to him because the precap of the next episode hinted on those lines. What a piece of crap I swear. Please share your thoughts!

PS: I wish I could give it a 0 star!

Teri Raza Episode 21 Review – Ridiculous!

Seriously this drama is ridiculous & most of its characters are psychos. It is absolutely insane how the writer is trying to normalize the most awkward situations.

So, Miss Suhana the brat was not only unhappy that Imtiyaz was getting engaged to Seema, she also had the audacity to call & order him that he shouldn’t, why, because Suhana the brat was saying so? Seriously? I loved Imtiyaz’s response to Suhana that she was no one to boss him around because she lost that right after their divorce. It is absolutely insane how the writer is trying to show that it is okay for an ex wife to meddle into such personal affairs of her ex husband & if he doesn’t listen to her, she has all the right in the world to be mad about it.

Not only Suhana, her psychotic mother was also mad about this entire scenario. I mean seriously? Why were they the ones complaining, after all that they & their psycho daughter Suhana put Imtiyaz through? I was also shocked at Suhana’s amman pan, like she wasn’t allowing Imtiyaz to get legally & lawfully married to Seema while she herself was involved in an extra marital affair with Rameez? Talk about being blind to one’s own fault to the core!

Well, I always knew Rameez was the most nonsensical character after Suhana that the writer came up with but I was actually surprised even more when a non serious guy like him who didn’t even believe in Istikhara was now asking his mother to get it done to see if Suhana was his Ms. Right? Seriously? When & how did Rameez became so concerned about such things? Why was he now dual minded & was calculating right & wrong when his sense of right & wrong died while chasing a married woman? Why didn’t Rameez think before whether he was doing the right thing or not by when he was dating a married woman? What crap is this? Please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 20 Review – Awkward!

Ohkay so, if there is one word that can describe this entire episode, it would be awkward. Every single person in this episode was making every other person awkward. All the situations, all the scenarios were awkward but what’s funny is that the writer has tried to turn every awkward thing into something absolutely normal, which is again awkward!

I don’t really understand what the writer is trying to suggest by showing an ex husband & wife being over friendly with each other? It is like she is trying to normalize a divorce by showcasing that you can always be ‘friends’ with your ex-spouse? It is like the writer is suggesting that you don’t have to worry about making a marriage work because even if it won’t you will be fine being friends with your ex? Also, the worst thing about this drama is that all those people who aren’t supposed to be in touch with each other are always in contact? When Suhana was married to Imtiyaz, everyone starting from her Abba to Amma to Kaam Wali to Suhana herself, all of them were in contact with Rameez’s family & now again, when Suhana has happily moved out of Imtiyaz’s life, her psychotic kumba is in contact with both Sitara & Imtiyaz? What for? The entire focus on Samaan was so bizarre, again it was used as a petty excuse to keep them all in touch with eachother, something that the writer has been doing right from the beginning! First Suhana told Imtiyaz that Talat was calling him for Samaan. Then Zafar told Sitara that he didn’t need Samaan & again someone asked/told someone about Samaan but by that time I was so tired of this Samaan that I didn’t bother paying attention to it. The point is, since Suhana was being ‘friends’ with Imtiyaz, she could’ve directly asked him for her Samaan!?!?! & oh yes Mr. & Mrs. Faarigh (read Zafar & Talat) also spoke about Samaan!

Ugh! Suhana & Rameez’s cheesy romance was sickening. All this while, Suhana played the victim but now she was sitting there shamelessly, designing her future home with a guy jiss ki ammi usay kitchen mai dekhte hi kehti hain ‘1 paisa nahi doongi’. Seriously, can Rameez afford a Ding Dong Bubble for himself that he was going on & on & on in front of Suhana about the house that he will build for her? Bachay pehle apne pairon pe kharay to ho ja! Chalo, this is Rameez, he is like that but what’s wrong with Suhana? How is she going to settle for a loser like him & most importantly why? The mere ‘love factor’ has been overdone by the writer here that only on the basis of LOU, Suhana forsake her marriage & is now flirting with him, wearing an extra white foundation & unflattering orange lipstick?

Well, since Seema has called her dibs on Imtiyaz, she subtly told Suhana that she should move on, as she knows that it would be like a last nail in the coffin & Imtiyaz wouldn’t be left with any reason to cling onto Suhana & her memories. Well, I loved how Sitara ignored Talat when they came across each other at Seema’s place. Everytime Talat gets insulted, I do an imaginary happy dance because such an unreasonable character deserves all of that! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza & oh the preview of the next episode seemed so bizarre, at one hand Rameez has told his mom that he is only going to get married to Suhana & on the other he is telling her to do an Istikhara? Accha, if Istikhara doesn’t show this relation to be favorable for them both, will Rameez leave Suhana? LOL!

Teri Raza Episode 19 Review – Ridiculous!

Ohkay so, this episode was all about picking up the pieces & coming to terms with what happened. It was more about Imtiyaz because he was the one emotionally invested in this relationship & not Suhana.

So, Talat thought by using child as a bait, she will be able to convince Imtiyaz to take Suhana back. It is so obvious that more than wanting to save this marriage, Talat is concerned about face saving that is why she was giving one bizarre logic after another to force Imtiyaz to patch things up! I really had a hard time understanding that how can a woman of Talat’s age be so stupid to not see that she didn’t have to convince Imtiyaz because he never wanted to part ways with Suhana in the first place. It was her daughter Suhana who needed all that pep talk but oh well, Suhana’s parents know that they have raised a monster so they are beating around the bush in order to feel that they have done enough, whereas they haven’t apart from damaging the relationship more!

This episode had so much of fillers & nothing substantial (not that there is any substance in the story in the first place). Well, the coverage Manzura gets is so annoying, like her character is just hard to tolerate, she has that persona & I can’t beleive that after all these years, Daadi still feels the need to tell her how dusting is supposed to be done!

Anyways, I just & I still can not believe Suhana’s character. The way writer has shown sympathy towards her is quite irrational. I just couldn’t believe that after divorce, Suhana was wondering what went wrong & she had no idea WHY she got divorced in the first place? Writer herself knows that she can not justify Suhana’s behavior still she has added in these dialogues to make her look like a victim. Suhana had the audacity to say that she did everything her family taught her to make this marriage work while completely ignoring that despite being told not to, she continued having an affair with Rameez. Suhana was being shown as if her heart was aching but it wasn’t coming through because we all know she wanted to get out of this marriage right from the beginning. Oh well, Suhana made another statement where she said that she listened to others but now she is going to listen to herself, another biggest flaw of this drama because right from the beginning, Suhana did everything she wanted to do. She might blame her parents as much as she wants but nothing that she will say or do will conceal the fact that she herself chose to get married to Imtiyaz. Oh well, by adding all that Istikhara & Badshaguni concept, writer again tried to show that Suhana was such a bechari that she was sacrificing her love & choosing her family’s well being over her boyfriend, duh!

Well, I just couldn’t believe Daadi’s speech that she gave to Suhana after her divorce. Daadi’s heart was beating because Suhana got married so technically, shouldn’t it stop, now that she is divorced? Also, just the news of Imtiyaz’s intention of getting separated from Suhana was enough for Daadi to collapse, so not sure why nothing happened to her after the divorce? & oh, Rameez, all he does is smoke cigarettes & roam around without a worry in the world & yes he stalks Suhana on Facebook, this is what he does & still he is going to get the heroine in the end? Hahah! What a joke! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 18 Review – Ridiculous!

Ohkay so, the fact that the writer here is sympathizing with the negative character & trying to turn the villain into a victim makes this drama even more ridiculous. It is shocking to see how the writer here is trying to justify an extra martial affair & is showing that the lady involved had her petty & twisted reasons!?!

So, Suhana became a persona non grata in her own home but what’s amusing was that even though her parents were making it obvious that they were unhappy, they were still doing aap janab with her. While listening to Suhana’s parents go on & on & on about how she has wronged them & how disappointed they were, I wish they had raised her properly because it is due to their own faulty upbringing that they are living to see this day!

I think Imtiyaz should have divorced Suhana because to send her back just like that doesn’t make any sense. It was amusing to see Suhana still keen on running the boutique that Imtiyaz has sponsored for her. I think she should return it back to him because it is his investment but then Suhana won’t do that, as going to boutique is her excuse of seeing & dating Rameez.

Well Rameez showed up at Suhana’s boutique & even though she tried to shoo him away, she ended up sharing her sob story with him. It is quite tactful of Suhana as she knows how to stir sympathy for herself every single time. She knows that Rameez without any Tameez & weird collection of Kameez is still waiting for her & she ended up telling him that Imtiyaz has sent her back, giving him clear hints that she is available, well she always was available for him!

It was so amusing seeing Jeena & Rameez air their dirty laundry to the entire mohalla just like that, whereas they could’ve had this conversation in private or over the phone. I must say Suhana’s parents take dhitai to a whole new level, like even though they know that their paakbaaz beti is at fault & is equally involved with Rameez, in stead of disciplining her, they call Rameez’s parents & order them to stop him? Every single time they call them, I love the responses of Rameez’s parents because they try to knock the sense into their heads that in stead of blaming Rameez, they should control their spoiled brat Suhana!

Well, Suhana’s father had a heart attack & all this while I was thinking that nothing happened to Daadi but Zafar on the other hand ended up becoming a heart patient. Anyways, Suhana’s speech filled with her sob story in front of Imtiyaz was so baseless, she again is blaming her parents for the marriage whereas she herself chose to get married to Imtiyaz? I am sure now Imtiyaz will convince Talat & Zafar that they should allow Suhana to get married to Rameez, setting an example of some other kind. I just hate the way Suhana sees herself as a victim & blames everyone else for how her life has panned out whereas she herself is responsible for everything that she is going through! Oh well, someone please teach Seema how to keep personal & professional life apart. It is absolutely ridiculous to see her talking about Suhana & even their divorce with Imtiyaz at their workplace & later when she sensed that he was upset, she used ‘files’ as a distraction to change the topic? This woman is ridiculous & obsessed with Suhana, still sore over the fact that Imtiyaz chose Suhana over her! Also, Seema’s desperation is cringe worthy where she tried to hint that she is stil waiting for Imtiyaz! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 17 Review – Ridiculous!

Ohkay so, things finally moved forward & a toxic relationship came to an end in tonight’s episode but before that, quite a few things happened which suggested that the writer was once again trying to turn Suhana into a victim, which made me roll my eyes!

Imtiyaz made a final decision & that too for the love that he had for Suhana because he couldn’t see her unhappy. Imtiyaz actually proved how much he loved Suhana by letting her go as he could feel that she was not happy with this relationship, which was quite a selfless gesture.

Rameez continued to be careless & immature & I just can not believe that after being married to a man like Imtiyaz, Suhana will settle for a loser like Rameez. I just don’t get what the writer here is trying to promote? That Istikharas can be unreliable too? That despite following Istikhara & knowing that there’s only benefit in this decision, one can still choose to remain unhappy? I just don’t get what the writer had in her mind or may be she herself was unclear about what she wanted to convey. Suhana told Imtiyaz that she got married to him because it was Allah’s Raza but then she continued to meet Rameez because it was her Raza, so is the writer trying to convey that one should focus more on their own raza & completely ignore Allah’s raza? How twisted & disgusting is that!?! It is like Suhana chose Allah’s Raza but did everything to get what she wanted by literally ruining someone’s life? Like she made sure to get things according to her Raza by hook or by crook, then why all the drama of following the Istikhara to avoid Badshaguni in the first place? The writer should have revisited the idea behind this script before penning it down because it is ridiculous, disgusting & misleading. The writer is promoting it shamelessly that it is alright to ignore what Allah plans for you & you can continue to do what you want despite knowing that it ain’t good for you. This drama promotes a sick idea of chasing behind a disgusting love affair by putting everything at stake which is sickening!

The writer tried to turn Suhana into a victim by showing that despite not wanting to, she was trying to take interest in Imtiyaz & was trying to do everything to save this marriage? Like seriously, this sudden change in Suhana’s behavior was totally unconvincing & out of the blue!

Imtiyaz finally bid farwell to Suhana & like a puppet she followed his orders, again the writer’s attempt to show how submissive & masoom Suhana was that she followed Imtiyaz’s order. Anyways, the coverage that Zafar, Talat & Dadi are getting is annoying. That Orange juice recipe of Daadi for a second made me think that I was watching a program at ARY Zouk, because it was so forced & a filler. Also, when Suhana came, Talat gave her a piece of her mind but in the next scene she lost her mind & went into a trance, like seriously? Does the writer actually believe that we will have any sympathy towards a habitual howler i-e. Talat? LOL! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 16 Review – Sickening!

I just can not believe that Suhana had the audacity to say ‘meinne kuch nahi kiya’ after putting Imtiyaz through so much. It is absolutely sickening to see Suhana play the victim all the time, it is like she is aloof to the idea of understanding or realizing that she can be at fault too. It is absolutely sickening to see a character like Suhana on screen who gets away with everything & more than that, she herself doesn’t see her mistakes, like for once, I haven’t seen her feeling guilty for all of her lies & deceit. In stead of seeing her own mistakes, she played the victim saying ‘Imtiyaz ko mai achi nahi lagti, mere ma baap ko mai achi nahi lagti’, I think she should’ve said ‘saray drama viewers ko mai zeher lagti hoon’ because that’s the truth but since Suhana believes in lies, she wouldn’t admit this!

I felt for Imtiyaz a lot when he heard Suhana say that she loves Rameez. Even though I felt that this episode could’ve been reasonable but there were so many flaws & glitches that they reinforced the fact that I was watching an episode of Teri Raza where nothing makes sense. Anyways, Imtiyaz found out what was in Suhana’s heart all this while & the way he approached this entire issue made his character even better. Imtiyaz understood that just because Suhana was being a pain, he had to be dignified about it & had to gracefully end this relationship which was causing pain to him & most importantly Suhana.

I just couldn’t believe that after doing so much, Suhana still had the guts to stand in front of Imtiyaz, look into his eyes & say that she was telling him the ‘truth’. It is cringe worthy to see her being so oblivious of her reality which is based on lies. Anyways, just because Imtiyaz decided to call it quits, Suhana once again turned it into an opportunity to make herself look like a victim saying that she hasn’t done anything? Seriously, she should ask herself this question first in stead of asking others as to what she has done?

Suhana said she made a decision that she is going to compromise for the rest of her life, I think she should’ve rephrased it by saying that she is going to make Imtiyaz’s life miserable for the rest of her life because let’s face it, she has gotten used to the luxuries that her marriage with Imtiyaz has given to her, so she is now thinking of leaving Rameez, but still she will do this while having him in her heart because for her this marriage is a compromise & she can not be sane enough to get over her ex boyfriend & give her husband a chance who truly is a gentleman & loves her. I was actually glad that Imtiyaz found out what a liar Suhana was!

I just didn’t get why all of a sudden Zafar & Talat started getting all this coverage? Also, I found it amusing that out of all the people, the man who was least bothered about his daughter was now emerging as an informer who was informing his family of everything that was happening in Suhana & Imtiyaz’s life. First it used to be Talat but now it was Zafar who was acting like a newscaster telling everyone that Imtiyaz wasn’t talking to Suhana, that Imtiyaz left for Europe (only to show up in the next scene as if he never left), that Imtiyaz was not going to forgive Suhana? Talat’s meltdown made me laugh a lot because before that, the howler in Shaheen Khan woke up & she howled for a good few minutes pleading her case that she isn’t a loon, even if she behaves like one!

Talat took it on her that she was the one who went ahead with the Istikhara & hid everything from everyone? Also, Zafar was like Talat didn’t tell him before that Suhana was interested in someone whereas I clearly remember that on Suhana’s Mehandi night, Talat told her husband that she is happy everything went by smoothly & Rameez didn’t create a scene? Seriously, the amount of flaws in the script & direction make it hard for me to believe that the team of Teri Raza was even serious before making this drama. Another thing I noticed was that Talat told Suhana that she was pregnant & if we believe that she actually is pregnant, why there were no celebrations happening like before, like no one even talked about it, not even Sitara in order to convince Imtiyaz that he shouldn’t leave Suhana? The story & the characters of this drama are all over the place & it shows that the writer was may be half-asleep while writing this script!

I just don’t understand, when Sitara told Talat & Zafar that Imtiyaz won’t be leaving Suhana & that he will be giving her another chance, why did Zafar feel the need to tell his mother that Imtiyaz wants to part his ways with Suhana? May be he is tired of his mother & her English & that’s why he wants her out of this drama as well? Anyways, I just don’t get Suhana’s character, she is one twisted psychopath who is so mentally scattered that she has no idea what she wants from her life. She says she accepted this marriage because of Istikhara, but she can not get over Rameez, she can not accept Imtiyaz but now wants to compromise while still having her ex boyfriend in her heart. Also, when Imtiyaz decided to clear her way, she was unhappy about it? Why? What a cheap character I must say! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 15 Review – Ridiculous!

Ohkay so, this episode was reasonable but only because of Imtiyaz whereas if I go by what Suhana did or said, this was once again one ridiculous episode in my opinion!

It is absolutely disgusting how Suhana not only is cheating on Imtiyaz but upon asked, she like always, tried to make him feel guilty as if he committed a grave sin by asking her one simple question ‘where she was’. It is absolutely insane that Suhana thinks everyone’s worry & concern for her is something intolerable because she is supposed to answer everyone for her irrational behavior. I cringed really bad when Suhana bluntly told Imtiyaz that she was not answerable to him, well yes you are missy but then, since she is so beghairat that she can two time on her husband with her ex boyfriend, she obviously doesn’t deem it necessary to answer basic question that her husband asks her!

Another tantrum that Miss Suhana threw was when she found out that Imtiyaz was planning a trip for both of them. Obviously, she is going to hate the idea because in Paris, there would be no Rameez & since she is so beghairat that she can’t live a day without seeing him, she was mad & again tried to make Imtiyaz feel bad that he didn’t ‘seek’ her ‘permission’. Seriously, the way Suhana is using the business as an excuse to meet her boyfriend is sickening because it is the same business that has been sponsored by Imtiyaz. I just can not believe a character like Suhana where she is enjoying every single luxury of life because of Imtiyaz but her heart is with Rameez? No matter how cold-hearted you are, if you see someone doing so much for you, you tend to melt a bit but the writer only knows what Suhana is made of, since she is living a comfortable life but doesn’t leave an opportunity to make Imtiyaz feel that he is falling short of his responsibilities!

The way Suhana threw a tantrum & insulted her mother in law only because Imtiyaz asked her the reason for being late made me feel like she should’ve been thrown out of his house immediately because she is wrong, she has been wrong all along but still Imtiyaz & Sitara are putting up with everything she does only because they are a decent people & they have no idea what a twisted psycho Suhana is! I am impressed at how comfortably Suhana lies to Imtiyaz on his face, when he tried to ask her who Rameez liked, she easily denied saying she had no idea, like seriously, the girl has been spending more time with him than she does with Imtiyaz, so she thinks Imtiyaz is going to buy that she has no idea who Rameez is after?

I loved that Jeena told everything to Imtiyaz but just when I thought he will put two & two together, he told Jeena that he trusts Suhana a lot & that she shouldn’t be saying all this? Yes, I know that Imtiyaz loves Suhana to such an extent that he was actually in a denial but since he is mature enough, he should’ve analyzed Suhana’s behavior since day one to know that whatever Jeena said wasn’t a lie & the reason why Suhana was so cold towards him was Rameez. I think even now if Imtiyaz won’t call spade a spade, then he deserves whatever Suhana is directing towards him because then it will be like he himself is allowing Suhana to treat him as a doormat. Teri Raza Episode 14 Review – Ridiculous!

Ohkay so, seriously the writer of this drama deserves 21 topon ki salami for not only coming up with a character like Suhana but for also justifying her wrongdoings. There is absolutely nothing about this main character that is likable because in stead of ‘understanding’ her perspective, all I can see is that she is one thankless twisted psycho who doesn’t bat an eyelid when she lies with every single breath that she takes!

Suhana keeps on telling Rameez that she can not leave Imtiyaz & that she accepted him because of Istikhara but what she is doing is totally opposite to what she should’ve done when she chose to get married to Imtiyaz. Suhana has officially started two timing because the way she was lying & grabbing every opportunity to see Rameez proved it. Suhana chose not to stay at her parent’s place because she knew that she will be faced with a lot of restrictions there & she won’t be able to see Rameez so easily.

In this episode, there were so many dialogues that were cringe-worthy. Suhana thinks that she & Rameez survived the accident because of their true ishq , I mean that was so bizarre. It is absolutely sickening that the writer is justifying a character like Suhana by showing that ‘love’ is everything & a woman under someone’s Nikkah can conveniently deceive her spouse. Suhana’s character is beyond comprehension, like this is her pattern – she meets Rameez despite telling him that this is going to be their last meeting, she is not into Imtiyaz, she tells Rameez she can not leave Imtiyaz but whenever she is with her people like her mother or Manzura, she doesn’t leave any stone unturned to tell them how much she loves Rameez? What is she even trying to achieve? Since she is not even respecting the sacred relationship that she has with Imtiyaz then there’s absolutely no point in continuing it!?!

Suhana loves Rameez but when the drama began & she got married to Imtiyaz, I thought she will then compare the two & will come to a conclusion that she was better off with a gentleman like Imtiyaz but boy, this girl is twisted because she is doing everything to ruin her marriage for a loser guy like Rameez but then she makes sure to let Rameez know that she is not into him anymore? I think Suhana should learn a basic thing like ‘actions speak louder than words’, she doesn’t have to receive his phone calls, she doesn’t have to see him, she thinks sporting a poker face & shamelessly listening to Rameez’s confessions during every meeting is going to give him the impression that she is happy with Imtiyaz? Seriously! Usually we use the term loser for male characters because they take loser-ness to another level but Suhana seamlessly makes it to that list too, yes she is a big time loser!

When Talat asked Suhana about Rameez, I was shocked at how seamlessly she lied that she went to talk him into getting married to Jeena where in all of their conversations, Suhana never took her name because even she doesn’t want this marriage to take place! I thought we will see some drama when Imtiyaz told Zafar that Suhana was with Rameez, because he called his wife but that scene ended right there, so if that was what was going to happen then what was the need of that scene in the first place because all I know is that Suhana is a spoiled brat that can’t be tamed!

The best bit of this episode were the backdrops that were used to suggest that Imtiyaz was travelling, at least there was something that made sense despite the sloppy & extremely bad cut paste job. I loved how Dubai’s busiest airport had no banda & banday ki zaat because Imtiyaz was travelling, lol! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Teri Raza.

Teri Raza Episode 13 Review – Ridiculous!

0

Ohkay so, just when I think Suhana’s character can’t get more ridiculous, guess what, it does. I am surprised at all the twists & turns that the writer has added only to make sure that ex girlfriend & ex boyfriend do not forget about each other, in a nutshell this is what Teri Raza is all about!

So, after his engagement, Rameez has suddenly realized that he can’t be without Suhana. I don’t know why but I feel Suhana brings out the worst in Rameez, because when he was over her, he was pretty sane & decent but ever since he has started getting inclined towards her again, he has lost his marbles. It is sickening to see Suhana meeting Rameez again & again even though she keeps on saying she doesn’t want to see him again but the fact that she still meets him states the opposite. I must say I laughed a lot when Rameez told Suhana to ‘SIT’, if I am not mistaken this is the command that people usually give to their pet dogs!

To be honest, I can’t stand Suhana’s character, the way she portrayed herself as a rich spoiled brat who sheds her burden on her servants was ridiculous. Just because she was sore that Rameez & Jeena got engaged & despite wanting to she couldn’t be with him, she literally insulted her servant. I hate the way Suhana keeps on guilt tripping Imtiyaz as well, it was so obvious that she was salty at the news of Jeena & Rameez’s engagement but when Imtiyaz asked, she easily put the blame on people inquiring her about her child? Also, when Imtiyaz tried to tell her to be rational in dealing with the servant, she made him feel guilty because he wasn’t siding with her insane existence! It is sickening to see a ‘munafiq’ character like Suhana on screen who hides her inner most demons & puts up a facade of being a victim. Suhana is a dishonest character in my opinion where she keeps on lying to her husband to save her sorry being, yes, she doesn’t love him but the least she can do is be honest with him.

Suhana & Rameez met an accident & even though Imtiyaz did all he could to make sure Suhana had all the attention in the world but when he just tried to know the reason why she was with Rameez, Suhana put up another drama to make Imtiyaz feel guilty. It is sickening to see her doing everything that she wants but when asked, she literally makes Imtiyaz feel like the worst person in the world to question her intentions. I hate the fact that Suhana is getting away with everything despite being wrong & the one who is putting up with all her tantrums is still the one at the receiving end of her fury!

The preview of the next episode once again showed more or less the same thing where Rameez will be pestering Suhana to break her marriage. Oh well I forgot to talk about another funny character – Daadi. First off, her fluctuating hair-color in both the scenes was amusing & then Daadi talking about ‘giving azaadi to Suhana’ was such a thigh slapper. I remember she was the one who spoiled Suhana to no end & when Talat would try to remind her of her responsibilities, Daadi would stoop in to stop her, but oh well, every single character in this drama is a lunatic, so why am I expecting Daadi to be any different. Teri Raza Episode 12 Review – Biggest Blunder of 2017!

0

OMG! I for once can’t pick which one is the biggest blunder? The one that Suhana made by lying about being pregnant or the one the writer made by writing this drama or the one that was done by the editing team which I will speak about later! But then I guess in this case, the writer is the clear winner because she is the creator behind all these ridiculous characters & unrealistic scenarios!

Like I said, it is so obvious that the writer was creating one situation after another to keep Suhana & Rameez linked & this time around, the exchange of shopping bags was used as another excuse for another conversation between them both. After Rameez went to meet Suhana & I got to have a good look at him, I found another mistake as to how did his shirts fit Imtiyaz? Clearly, they both are a veryyy different size, but oh well, anything can happen because this is Teri Raza we’re talking about!

I for once do not understand how & why does the writer expect us to sympathize with a girl like Suhana who is a clear cut Nashukri, like she has everything going for her, she has a husband who loves, respects & adores her, she has a loving family, every comfort of life one would want & still she finds a reason to keep her face forlorn, I swear I just can not stand this character. I couldn’t believe that she was crying buckets & used the word ‘dhoka’ for both Rameez & Jeena? Like girl you are married, so what do you expect? For Rameez to stay a bachelor for his entire life because you haven’t been able to move on? The entire crying scene & the Alaap in the background suggesting how bechari dukhyari Suhana is made my blood boil because she is anything but a bechari! I really believe this drama in stead of Teri Raza should’ve been titled Teri Nashukri!

Talking about the biggest blunder that Suhana made, which was announcing her pregnancy & later making a face when Imtiyaz showed his excitement? Just like what she did in the past, Suhana once again put the entire burden on Imtiyaz & told him to do the heavy-lifting because she stuffed up. Suhana for once needs to sort her mess herself in stead of relying on others to do the cleaning after her. I find it amusing how she can not stand Imtiyaz but then expects him to literally not say a word when she deprives him of such a huge thing & says a mere sorry for what she did! I felt for Imtiyaz so much & felt even bad when he didn’t even say a word to Suhana & told her that he will sort things out, which he later did. There’s a limit & it is sickening to see a character like Suhana getting everything that she wants even though she doesn’t deserve it!

Now let’s talk about the biggest blunder of all times. After this episode ended, I went back & saw the scene from the previous episode where Immortal Daadi & Idiotic Talat were having a conversation, in that scene Daadi clearly spoke about getting a call from Sitara (Imtiyaz’s mother) where she told her about Suhana’s pregnancy & then Daadi also said ‘Imtiyaz ka to bass nahi chal raha ke office bhi ghar mai hi khol le’ so? When in the last scene they clearly suggested that Suhana was actually pregnant & everyone in the family knew about it, then what was this entire scenario in this episode all about where Imtiyaz found out about Suhana’s pregnancy at Jeena’s engagement & then called everyone up & they were all surprised as if they had no idea about it & this was the first time they heard about it only later to find out that it was a lie that Suhana told? Also, if this was the actual scenario that they showed in this episode, then which Imtiyaz was Daadi talking to Talat about? In the scene of the previous episode, Talat also says ‘jab se inki shadi hui hai meri jaan suli pe atki hui rehti hai’ some crap like that? So, if both Daadi & Talat weren’t talking about Suhana & Imtiyaz then who was so important for Talat that her jaan was on suli for her? Seriously, this has to be the biggest blunder & it clearly shows the lack of interest of the director & even the editing team where they clearly stuffed up!

Talking about the blunders, the timeline in this episode was so confusing as well. Anyways, even though I don’t like Jeena’s character because I find her desperate as well, but this time around her reaction to Suhana’s forced bechargi was spot on. She was right in drawing the line & telling Rameez to draw the line too. Also, Talat’s reaction was so weird when Suhana told her that she has to attend Jeena’s engagement because she got an invitation, because Talat was like ye larka hamari jaan pata nahi kab chorega? I mean seriously, she should be rather telling Suhana ke uski jaan chorh de because clearly she hasn’t moved on & wants both Imtiyaz in her life for all the luxuries & Rameez wrapped around her finger because she is abnormal! In the previous episodes they clearly suggested that Rameez had given a closure to Suhana’s chapter & he accepted that she belonged to someone else but in this episode, ever since he got engaged, the whole concern that he was showing for Suhana was quite forced & sudden, it was like the writer immediately thought of resurfacing his feelings because like I said, she has to do everything to make sure they both stay connected!

The preview of the next episode seemed ridiculous as well. Now Rameez says he is not into Jeena so I am not sure why & most importantly how did he agree to this engagement in the first place because the Rameez that we know of can not be forced into something that he is not ready for, so why bring in this engagement & I-am-over-Jeena scenario? The whole backdrop cut paste job was worst in the scene where Rameez goes to meet Seema. I mean they could’ve shot that scene in some parking lot & saved the editors some hassle because they did a poor job. Anyways, please share your thoughts about this pathetic episode of Teri Raza. Not that I haven’t said it before but I will say that again, Sanam Baloch, your fans expected better from you! Also, yes, the scene of the previous episode that I am talking about starts at 35:15 mark in YouTube video, you guys can check yourselves & please do correct me if I am wrong in believing that Daadi & Talat were talking about Suhana & Imtiyaz’s upcoming baby!

Teri Raza Episode 11 Review – All Over The Place!

Ohkay so, with this episode of Teri Raza, the story made quite a lot of progress but I am not too convinced with how things rolled. I feel the characters have been written with such clumsiness that you just can not form a definite opinion about them. Apart from Imtiyaz, every other character behaves irrationally especially the main lead Suhana, which makes it impossible for you to like anything about her.

I must say Talat should pat herself on her back after what she has done. Rameez had Suhana out of his sight, out of his mind but just because Talat instigated the entire scenario, Suhana got the chance to tell him that he still means so much to her & after that Rameez was thinking about Suhana too. It is amusing that Talat keeps on saying that she feels tensed ever since Suhana has gotten married because according to her Suhana is doing everything to ruin her marriage but then I guess someone needs to give her a reality check that it is not Suhana but Talat herself who makes sure to do everything which will drift Suhana & Imtiyaz apart. This woman is a piece of work I swear & I just can not stand her as a motherly character because she is an insult to all the mothers out there!

Imtiyaz has done so much for Suhana & her consistency at finding faults in him or his gestures is praiseworthy. I found it amusing that Suhana started off by saying she wants to do a job & then told everyone that she wants to own a business. I was waiting for her to show up her forlorn face & felt relieved when she did because it wouldn’t be Suhana without her typical roni shakal. It is amusing that Suhana could use her husband’s money to finance her business but she didn’t appreciate his effort with which he made it possible for her to get the model to showcase her dress? Suhana is like that spoiled brat who wants everyone to do everything that she wants but for others she would never budge because hey, she’s spoiled & that’s all there’s to her personality!

Let’s talk about the most awkward scenario in the history of Pakistani dramas – yes, I am talking about Paa Mmtyaz’s BUDDAY scene. Seriously, after Suhana was done confessing her feelings to Rameez for like a millionth time, after eavesdropping like a typical aunty, she remembered she had a husband to attend to as well, therefore she arranged a birthday surprise for him to keep everything smooth & running in her life. I mean it is sickening but seeing Suhana taking care of both her marital life & then her long-died affair made me uncomfortable. This girl needs to learn about a thing called transperancy but oh well, like everyone said, she lives in her own bubble!

I know I am not a fan of Jeena’s character but she for once made sense & did the right thing by knocking some sense into Suhana as well. It is amusing that Suhana claimed Imtiyaz loves her therefore he would never cheat on her, while completely forgetting how she takes him for granted & how she is still cheating on him by having Rameez in her heart. Like Suhana grew uncomfortable the moment Jeena tried to tell her that Seema seems far too comfortable with Imtiyaz but she never for once thought about how she was treating her husband. Suhana is like that immature child who doesn’t know how to own her mistakes & she thinks everything is just perfect because she turns a blind eye to her wrongdoings!

I must say, Seema needs to find a hobby for herself because her availability for Imtiyaz even at the late hours is a joke. Seema seems far more concerned for Imtiyaz as if in stead of Suhana, she is married to Imtiyaz. Seema is another insane character in this insane lot because even she is still stuck on the fact that Suhana tried to get her & Imtiyaz hitched but now when it hasn’t happened, she still feels she has some kind of authority over Imtiyaz. The showdown between the two ladies over Imtiyaz was quite funny. I wonder why every-time Seema’s car breaks down or every-time she has an emergency, she chooses Imtiyaz to play the role of her chauffeur. Anyways, looks like both Imtiyaz & Suhana are expecting a child & Daadi is still going to survive to see her great grandchild’s Rukhsati too, since this is how her heart works!

I know Sanam Baloch gives her 100% to her characters & it is good to see her dedication but literally not keeping a track of sweaty upper-lip or sliva in her mouth is a bit too much. Talat’s character & Shaheen Khan’s acting, both are out of order. I found it amusing how Talat was trying to ignore what Seema was trying to say about Suhana & her weird approach towards her marriage, not that it is Seema’s business but still she had a point. I think in stead of blaming Suhana for her immaturity, Talat should blame herself for a faulty upbringing but I love how every single character in this drama doesn’t believe in owning their mistakes & that is the reason why Talat is so aloof to how she has raised a little monster called Suhana! Anyways, please share your thoughts about this all-over-the-place episode of Teri Raza & oh can I take a moment to talk about the precap of next episode? Suhana crying buckets over Jeena & Rameez’s engagement & trying to prove something by saying that Jeena didn’t care for Rameez as much as she did when he went missing, like seriously? A pregnant married woman crying over her ex-boyfriend’s engagement with her class-fellow is beyond ridiculous!
