Shaan Shahid is coming back on silver screen after a really long time with a film which is not an action movie. He will be seen in Arth-the destination which is coming out on 21st December 2017. Arth-the destination is the remake of Indian classic Arth. A month is left for the movie to hit cinemas and the team will promote the film on a large scale as was expected. Shaan was seen promoting Arth at BBC World. Looks like the actor is leaving no stone unturned to make his film reach out to the masses. Seems like Shaan Shahid’s directorial venture Zarrar is finally set to see the light of the day this year. The film, which has been delayed for two years now, might have a 2020 release as hinted by a short teaser shared by Shaan Shahid himself on his Twitter.

Although the short teaser doesn’t given anything away albeit “2020” and the tagline “Men die, wars don’t die” showing Shaan injured and bleeding with a gun, it does state that its loading for release this year.

Directed by Shaan himself, the cast of Zaraar includes Shaan Shahid, Pinky Memsaab famed actress Kiran Malik, Nadeem Baig, Nayyer Ejaz, Adnan Butt, and Cyrille Mansuy.

Shaan has collaborated with Hollywood based cinematographer Timothy Hallam Wood and has promised international level VFX and high octane stunts for the film.

Shaan Shahid also reveals why he refused multiple projects, offered to him in India. He said, “When I say that I wont work in India, actors get angry on me, I am not saying it on their behalf. I am not stopping actors, having said that, I didn’t work in India because of my father’s strong ideology on Kashmir. As far as, Aamir Khan is concerned, I asked him why he needed me out of 2 Billion people. The thing is why couldn’t they found out a Ghajini in India. When producers want to sign your nationality, you should refuse it on the spot because your fans love you. Also, the character of Ghajini was the epitome of all the negativity.

Hamza did well, I personally think that the harmony could have been created between these two characters as one was overpowering the other, if you see Raahi Sahab and Qureshi Sahab, they worked on chemistry and did great justice with their characters, they had a harmony. Neelo Begum, a very famous name of Pakistan film industry, is no more with us. She died in Lahore on Saturday and his son, Shaan Shahid confirmed the news. He took his Twitter to announce this sad news with his followers and Neelo Begum’s fans.

Neelo Begum was a famous and phenomenal Pakistani actress who started her acting career with the film Bhavani Junction in 1956. She showed tremendous acting skills in several hit films which include; Zarqa, Do Raaste, Ghonghat and Raaste.

She was also awarded the Nigar Award for Best Actress in 1969 film Zarqa. She got married to director, Riaz Shahid, and lived a happily married life. Shaan Shahid followed her mother’s footsteps and joined showbiz at a very young age.

Trying not to be more judgemental, he said, “It’s incorrect for me to judge anyone, and that’s something I’ve learned from life.”

“To be honest, I am not even concerned anymore. It’s difficult to make people look at the bigger picture, so I don’t want to waste my time clarifying myself.”

The entertainment industry is one of the most unpredictable professions in the world. At one point you are at the top of the world and a second later you are nothing. December was expected to play an important role in Pakistani cinema scene as most anticipated films of the year both Rangreza and Arth-The Destination were to hit the big screen this month as they did but the results weren’t as pleasing as everyone would have liked them to be.

Reports indicate that the turn up for both movies lied between 18-40% and neither of the films got raving reviews from any of the critics, over all the public reviews have been mixed as well.

He even pointed that ‘critics’ were misinforming the audience that the film is three hours in duration when it’s actually two hours and 13 minutes.

Twitter aside, on his personal Facebook account, Shaan even shared a public post appreciating those who supported him in making the film. “Thank you to all the loved ones for their support in making Arth a success, the people of Pakistan I’m always humbled by their love,” he wrote.

In his Facebook post, the star called his “haters” out too. “To all the haters who are trying so hard to write and spread negativity, if you guys understood the film techniques, you would be making films and I would be writing columns in the newspapers,” he wrote. “A film has its own flight, a flight of belief on the hard work, prayers, and the love of the people who don’t have access to write but to see and enjoy the film.”

He concluded the post, saying, “Croak as much as you can with your hate words and analysis. It helps us rise above. But seriously I wish you had a better job. Losers.”

Zarrar stars Shaan in the lead as Zarrar, a member of the ISI’s special unit which is out there to eliminate threats to the country. According to the film’s bio, Zarrar revolves around the intense patriotic sentiments supported by some of the veterans of Lollywood including Nadeem Baig and Kiran Malik in lead role.

Arth 2 is an upcoming romantic-drama film directed and written by Shaan Shahid. The film stars Shaan Shahid himself, Mohib Mirza, Humaima Malik and Uzma Hassan in lead roles. It is a join-production of HKC Entertainment, Ali Murtaza’s AAA Motion Pictures and Shaan Shahid’s 5th Element. The film is a remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s 1982 film Arth and is expected to release this year.
