We Pakistanis raise slogans and hashtags of Justice For Someone every other month and things never change. The latest victim is Sara Shahnawaz who was brutally murdered by her husband in Islamabad.

Sara Shahnawaz is a Canadian national. She met her husband through social media and they both got married just three months ago. Her husband is the son of famous journalist Ayaz Amir. She had just come back from abroad when her husband killed her by hitting her with gym dumbbells. Shahnawaz has been arrested by the police.

The multitalented and accomplished Pakistani actress Sarwat Gillani recently appeared in an interview with “Gloss ETC By Maliha Rehman”.

Sarwat Gillani while talking about the cosmetic side of her life, mentioned that “Fahad once said me that I thought you will come to me for any cosmetic surgery because you don’t have a good routine but you’re actually going in reverse. I’m not the one who take cares of herself all the time but now I’ve started drinking water and using sunscreen but it’s all because of my genes that I’ve a good skin till now despite having a bad routine.”

“I’m really very sacred of needles so I avoid such treatments. I fell on my face when I was in college and I broke my nose. I had my nose surgery done long time ago but still a lot of people think that it was a cosmetic surgery. Yes but I got to Fahad every now and then for the treatment of the lines on my forehead but still I say Fahad that you’re lucky that I’m not into such things”, added Sarwat.

Sarwat Gillani while talking about the criticism she faced on her wardrobe choice at Cannes Film Festival, mentioned that “It’s about general mindset. Pakistan’s mindset is all about leg pulling. Pakistani’s are famous for leg pulling and it’s a rare chance that they praise or appreciate anyone. It will take a long time to change the Pakistani mindset.”

“However, across the border the nation praises them for whatever they have done because they have nationalism and it has taken them a while to get there. We don’t have nationalism at all”, added Sarwat.

Sarwat further said that “Our designer needs big names of industry who can wore their branded outfits and if they are not famous enough they won’t trust them for their brand which is an unfortunate bit. Bulbulay is the longest running sitcom on Pakistani television. Many have grown up watching the journey of Nabeel and Khoobsurat and copying the antics of Momo and Mehmood Sahab. A show that started out with the simple journey of a single man Nabeel played by Nabeel Zafar and showed him getting married having kids and thus more characters got added and Momo’s son Sona and Nabeel’s daughter Chandi became a part of the show.

Chandi from the show Bulbulay is actually related to Nabeel Zafar. Yes, Chandi is played by Fatima Nabeel and she is the actual daughter of Nabeel Zafar. The Legend Of Maula Jatt is biggest upcoming Pakistani movie which has been directed by Bilal Lashari, the movie has been produced by Ammarah Hikmat, the film has a star-studded cast which includes Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malick, Ali Azmat, Faris Shafi and Gohar Rasheed.

He also said that this not healthy and he would recommend everyone to never start such an extreme diet for a role as it is harmful in long term. It was a difficult pregnancy and at the same time she went through many other health issues with her daughters. Shagufta also revealed that she did not go to her parents’ house after separation as she always had differences with her father and they had a huge communication gap. But she fought with all circumstances bravely though that was a very difficult time.

Shagufta and her daughters are are all successful in their lives today with both her elder daughters married with good careers.
