Joyland has become Pakistan’s official representative at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Headlined by filmmaker Saim Sadiq and director Sana Jafri, the film boasts Alina Khan, Sania Saeed, Sarwat Gilani, Ali Junejo and Rasti Farooq in the cast.

Karan Johar and Dharma Movies has recently released a song which is the copy of famous singer Abrar Ul Haq’s block buster song Nach Punjaban. It is to be remembered that the Pakistani version of the song had already broken the records of popularity in its time, song is still played in Punjabi weddings in Pakistan. The song was released in 2001.

Soon after the release of the song Nach Panjaban, Abrar Ul Haq’s opinion came to light, according to which, he has never sold his song Nach Punjaban and it’s a copyright infringement by the filmmaker Karan Johar. Pakistanis also called out the filmmaker.

Today, the Movie Box tweeted their response according to which all the rights of the song are reserved with them. Here is their tweet, “Nach Panjaban has been officially licensed for it to be included in the Film “JugJugg Jeeyo” by TSeries. Karen Johar and Dharma Movies have the legal rights to use this song in their film and the tweet by Abrar Ul Haq earlier today is defamatory and completely unacceptable.”

Senior journalist Fifi Haroon also said that Abrar ul Haq has also sold the copyrights of Billo song due to which Coke Studio has removed the song.

Singer Abrar Ul Haq once again tweeted and said, “Song “Nach Punjaban” has not been licensed to any one. If someone is claiming it , then produce the agreement. I will be taking legal action.
#NachPunjaban”. The singer has said that he’s pretty much focused about taking legal action.

We all know that Pakistani films have miserably failed to pull the audience in cinema, this Eid UL Fitr. Pakistanis preferred to watch Dr Strange instead of four to five local films. After the box office’s receding numbers for Pakistani cinema, the local producers did a press conference and strongly condemned the running of foreign content in Pakistani cinemas. Recently, Sindh High Court has taken action in this regard. Now, there has been a slightly relieving news for the local film producers.

According to the reports, the Sindh High Court has ordered to limit the screens for international films. As per the Sindh High Court order, the local films will get 85% of playing time at Pakistani cinemas, and foreign content will be allowed to have 15% of the screens.

The news has created an anger amongst Pakistani audiences and they are saying that they will be watching that 15% of screens instead of watching the local films. Public is of the view that the only thing being emphasized by them is that the local film makers need to improve their content instead of scheming up against foreign cinema. They said that this is the most uncalled for decision and the audience were not expecting this from them. Public said that there are some really good movies that are expected on Eid UL Azha and now the local bodies will try to pave way for some stupid Pakistani films. Fans said that this will only bankrupt Pakistani cinemas and will end up permanent closeure of cinemas and then they won’t be able to screen their cheap movies anywhere.

Mahira’s passion was commendable and the scene came out to be amazing”.

Talking about Mahira and Fawad Khan’s chemistry he said, “in start there was no chemistry between them. I could not see any chemistry between them/ two, there was no magic and I thought that something is lacking, actually, both the actors had different methods of acting, and as a director, I was technically having difficulties. I could see a glimpse of the magic between them but the real chemistry was missing, somehow, the real chemistry came out on the screen when I was editing the drama, that was the time I felt it, and it turned out to be amazing.”
