Canadian traveller Rosie Gabrielle is back in Pakistan to explore the country. On her last visit to Pakistan, she explored many areas on her bike and announced that she reverted to Islam.

Well again, she posted a picture with her dog in which the dog is wearing a Pakistani flag on his neck. Rosie Gabrielle, wrote, “I’m BAAAAAACK !!!!!!! SURPRISE! it seems I loved Pakistan so much, I had to return But this time, instead of traveling across the country, I’ve decided to base myself here Indefinitely! And this time I didn’t come alone, I brought my sweet little angel boy @winston.sirchill  Who is equally excited to be here and have some new adventures with mum!”

Her picture with dog wearing Pakistani flag received severe criticism from the Pakistanis and they called her out for disrespecting and hurting sentiments which are attached with the flag.

However, Rosie Gabrielle clarified that her dog is like a sweet angel and anyone who has a problem with it they will be blocked from her page.

She said, “To anyone who has an issue with my sweet angel wearing the Pakistani flag….my dog is a beautiful angel and creation of God, and has all worthiness to wear this flag and ANY flag. It’s next to his heart- which is the same beating heart that is in your chest and mine, which is the same organ of love that God created each and every BEING to have. So WHAT is your problem exactly ? If you do not treat all creatures and beings as equal to your self, if you think that anyone or any animal is less than you. Then YOU are not practicing true HUMANITY we are taught. You are not being a humble servant. This is an HONOR for my dog to wear this flag. I love my Winston more than anything, he is like a son to me.”

Rosie Gabrielle is a travel blogger who hails from Canada. She came to explore Pakistan last year and loved every place she visited in Pakistan.

Rosie came to Pakistan with her bike only but her journey to Pakistan changed her entire life. Gabrielle has just announced through her Instagram that she has reverted to Islam.

She has spent a lot of time traveling to Pakistan last year, she traveled to a lot of regions of the country including Lahore, Swat, Multan, Gwadar among many others.

She shared her views about Islam and wrote, “Unfortunately, Islam is one of the most misinterpreted and criticized religions worldwide. And like all religions, there are many interpretations. But, the core of it, the true meaning of Islam, is PEACE, LOVE & ONENESS. It’s not a religion, but a way of life. The life of humanity, humility, and Love.”

As soon as Gabrielle announced this news she received many proposals. She took to Twitter and wrote, “I’ve had a few too many marriage proposals. No, I will not marry any of you sorry! Because I’m already taken.”

An actor from Pakistan once said that the subcontinent saw two great actress only, Shabana Azmi and Roohi Bano. We couldn’t agree more. She might not have been as famous as Waheeda Rehman or Sharmila Tagore but she certainly was the greatest of all of them in every possible way. According to media reports, she has disappeared from Lahore today. She was at Fountain House, where she was treated but she wasn’t found there so the police searched her at her house in Gulberg but she was nowhere to be found. The actor, according to the doctors, suffers from schizophrenia.

We reported yesterday that Roohi Bano had been missing from the mental health institution, Fountain House. The authorities said that Roohi had left to live with her brother but she came for the regular check ups but she had not been coming for sometime. This got them alerted and they informed the police. When, leading media houses reported that she had been missing, her sister denied any such disappearance and said that Roohi is staying with her brother and she will brought in front the media.

The institution authorities said that her sister got her discharged as Roohi was there since 2016. They said she came initially for the regular check ups but her sister had stopped bringing her for the treatment. On being contacted, she never responds. Roohi had alleged previously that her family especially her sister was after her property. Her sister had denied such allegations saying, ” There is no reality in these allegations. People and the media should not take any interest in this matter as it is a family affair.”

Roohi had been suffering from schizophrenia. Her two failed marriages and untimely death of her son lead her to these circumstances. She had also appeared on a couple of TV shows and often how shattered she has been.

Leisure League’s aim is to bring international players to Pakistan. They have planned to feature Ronaldinho in a match which will be played in Karachi.

Ronaldinho is all set to star in Pakistani movie Maidaan, under the banner of Shuffler films by Gohar Rasheed and Waqas Rizvi. It will be directed by international director Jack Mulder.

It is a movie about poverty stricken street children who are football lovers and within their limited resources try to participate in the Street Child World Cup held in Brazil in 2014. The movie aims to show that stars can rise from slums and that nothing in impossible if you have the grit and will to work for it.

The movie has Noman Ijaz and Ghana Ali along with Gohar Rasheed. Ronaldinho and his friends play protagonists in the movie and appear in the final sequence.

This is one movie that promises to be different and we are really looking forward to it.

Whenever an international event is to make place in our country, we start praying that it goes out smoothly without any incident that could further taint our country’s reputation. The same happens when international stars visit here and lately the latter happens much more than the former. In fact, I can’t even the last time we had an international event in Pakistan. Due to the fear of terrorism, our country has been deemed unfit by various countries and international organizations,  to host international events or even for international teams to visit Pakistan.

In these dark times, the football superstar Ronaldinho and the Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs proved to be rays of hope. These two visited our country, participated in a tournament and showed it to the world that Pakistan is a safe country to visit and play.

Of course, all the players were welcomed and provided with tight security, handled by Pakistan Army.
