Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

0

Pakistani actors give a lot of interviews nowadays because there are so many different blogs and YouTube channels. Even those actors such as Noman Ijaz and Sania Saeed who at one time did not like giving interviews, nowadays don’t mind getting interviewed. Most of the actors are cautious while giving these interviews because anything they say can turn controversial. Because of social media, anything controversial or bold spoken during an interview goes viral instantly.

There are those actors also, who are not scared of speaking their minds. Although they know that some of their remarks might get them the kind of attention that they might not like, they do not refrain from saying exactly what they want. While some of these actors have been really bold and truthful while talking about their own personal life, others often give remarks about fellow actors which become controversial.

Here is the list of those Pakistani actors who are really bold while giving interviews.

Firdous Jamal

Firdous Jamal’s latest interviews were the center of attention for all the wrong reasons. He is definitely one of those actors who are not afraid of speaking their minds. He criticized the top actors of the industry such as Mahira Khan and Imran Ashraf. Even after he got so much criticism, he went on to say whatever he felt like in interviews. When it comes to being bold in interviews, no one can beat him!

Faisal Mahira Firdous image5

His comments about Mahira Khan made the fans angry and even some of the celebrities criticized him but he did not stop giving interviews in which he continued saying exactly what he wanted to.

Sadaf Kanwal

Sadaf Kanwal got into trouble more than once for being outspoken in her interviews. She is also someone who does not care what people or even co-actors might think of her opinions. She has more than once said things in her interviews which showed that she is really sure about what she wants to say. She also had a rift with Mansha Pasha because in an interview she said that Mansha could not act.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

She is probably the only Pakistani actor/model who confessed that she had many boyfriends in an interview while saying that there was nothing wrong with that.

Iman Ali

Iman Ali gives few interviews but her latest interview with Iffat Omer revealed that she is bold while giving the answers to her questions. When she was asked to answer a few questions, she criticized both Humayun Saeed and Fawad Khan and it was all nothing more than a joke for her. Iman Ali took boldness in interviews to a whole new level with this interview! Just like all the other actors on the list, she was criticized for her remarks but she didn’t think she said anything wrong.

In her latest interview, she boldly criticized everyone from the general public to the celebrities and she seemed to be enjoying the experience!

Noman Ijaz

There was a time when Noman Ijaz did not give interviews but lately, he has given a few interviews in which he spoke his mind. Noman Ijaz is really honest while sharing his opinions in interviews, he does not belittle co-stars but he definitely has a bold stance regarding everything. He does not mince his words because he knows that he has the kind of experience which allows him to share his opinions openly.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

In a recent interview, he pushed his luck when he openly confessed to having affairs with married women. He has been under severe criticism for his double standards and hypocrisy.

Saba Qamar

Saba Qamar also does not belittle her co-actors in interviews but she is quite outspoken while talking about her own personal life. The latest videos of Saba Qamar for her own YouTube channel just go to show that she is not afraid of being bold while sharing her opinions. Saba uses this boldness to point out the flaws in society and she does so well.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

Ushna Shah

Ushna Shah is another actress who has often gotten into trouble because she said something that was not received well by people. Ushna Shah even said it herself once that sometimes she says things she shouldn’t. Her social media presence also shows that she is bold while sharing her views on different matters.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

Hina Altaf

Hina Altaf started speaking her mind after she had completely healed. She has shared her personal heartbreaking story more than once in interviews. It definitely takes a lot of guts to share something so personal with the public. Being bold in interviews was part of Hina’s healing journey and in a way, it helped her in her professional life as well.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

Hira Mani

Hira Mani talks about her life before and after marriage a lot. She has more than once shared in interviews how she ‘stole’ Mani from her friend. Although she has been criticized multiple times too, she said that she could not be fake in interviews. Hira Mani also shared that Imran Abbas refused to work with her in an interview.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

Hira Mani is the only Pakistani actress with a celebrity husband who has admitted more than once in interviews that her husband was once her friend’s boyfriend and how she ‘stole’ him from her.

Bushra Ansari has a confident and outspoken personality. She is the same in interviews as well. She uses sarcasm and her sense of humor to say what she wants. She said in an interview that she did not consider Mahnoor Baloch an actress. When it comes to her own personal life too she has always been quite honest and she does not hold back.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Bold In Interviews

Bushra Ansari did not hold back while criticizing Mahnoor Baloch’s acting skills in one of the shows and she has more than once shared her opinion in this manner.

Hania Aamir

Hania Aamir is someone who is herself whether she is on social media or giving interviews. That is the reason her confidence overflows in interviews. While giving interviews Hania says whatever she wants and some of these things can at times be politically incorrect. The interesting part is that her fans like this side of her personality.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Typecasting means to cast an actor continuously in more or less the same kind of roles, either because of their physical appearance or previous success in such roles. Typecasting is especially unfair to those actors who are clearly capable of doing more. There is no denying the fact that the Pakistani drama industry is blessed with the best but even then the producers most often play it safe.

All the actors who are being typecast for the past few years are enormously talented. Most of these actors can easily pull off different kinds of roles yet somehow they settle for characters which are quite similar. It is monotonous and disappointing watching these actors in the same roles repeatedly.

I wrote a similar article in 2012 and some of these actors were in the list back then too! They seriously need to pick the characters they play more carefully.

Saba Hameed

Saba Hameed is on top of this list because she is the most experienced and talented actress who can fit into any kind of role at all. Yet! She chooses to play the flawed mother who always makes bad choices or is terribly insecure, over and over again. Saba Hameed played similar characters in many recent dramas. So much so that apart from the overall look, her characters were pretty much the same.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Guzarish, Baba Jani, Mere Mohsin, Ghalati are some of the recent dramas in which Saba Hameed played roles that had so many similarities. I am tired of watching her making her bahu or bhabhi’s life hell in dramas! It all started from Qaid-e-Tanhai and with a few breaks in between, it is continuing to date.

When Saba Hameed plays the mother of daughters in dramas, the characters go through some turmoil or the other. Aisi Hei Tanhai, Muqabil, Bhool are few such dramas.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Saba Hameed is a phenomenal actress and it would be great watching her following in the footsteps of actresses like Shamim Hilali, Asma Abbas and Badar Khalil who showed more diversity. Saba Hameed’s comic timing is exceptional too therefore she definitely has so many genres she can successfully experiment with.

Ayeza Khan

Ayeza Khan’s on-screen marriages have to be the most tearful and complicated affair. Every single drama she has worked in recently dealt with the same issue. Whether it was Yaariyan, Mere Pass Tum Ho, Thora Sa Haq and now Meher Posh, Ayeza Khan‘s characters go through similar situations. Ayeza works on her looks more than she does on making sure that she does something different every now and then.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

She should definitely work less and choose the projects she is a part of carefully. The irony is that every drama Ayeza Khan has starred in recently has been a massive hit therefore the producers and Ayeza herself would have no reason to re-think the kind of roles she is being assigned.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Most of the characters Ayeza has played in her entire career have been black and white. It would be nice to see her in a character which is meaty and for once it would also be good to see Ayeza Khan compromising on her looks to play a role similar to the one Ushna Shah played in Alif Allah aur Insan and Iqra Aziz played in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi.

Mikaal Zulfiqar

Mikaal Zulfiqar is another actor who simply hasn’t played a character like the one he played in Durr-e-Shehwar since 2012! He has continuously been playing the role of the most clueless and selfish husband ever since in most of the dramas. Mikaal’s characters almost always cheat on their wives but ultimately end up regretting that behavior. Most often he is forgiven too (maybe because of those good looks!!)

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Shehr-e-Zaat, Manjali, Sangat, Khasara, Ruswai, Izteraab are few such dramas in which he played roles that were quite similar. I am sure I am the only one who is sick and tired of watching him struggle with his complexes on screen. Mikaal Zulfiqar has played some of the most annoying male characters as well.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

The role Mikaal played in Alif Allah aur Insaan was different and quite likable. He should stop playing the unfaithful and completely useless husband altogether and opt for roles that offer variety. In Durr-e-Shehwar he made a relatively brief appearance but his role left a lasting impression because it was easy to relate to.

Hania Aamir

Hania Aamir is one of my favorite actresses but I am quite disappointed with her choices recently. She was phenomenal in Titli but that doesn’t mean that she needs to play another character like that again. The role Hania Aamir chose to play in her latest drama Dil Ruba isn’t only similar to the one she played in Titli but also a lot like the role she is playing in drama serial Ishqiya which is currently on air.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Hania fits into the bubbly, happy-go-lucky roles perfectly which is why she is continuously seen playing such roles. She is clearly being typecast for this reason but it is up to her to step out of her comfort zone and experiment with different roles.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Alizeh Shah

Alizeh Shah has recently started playing leading roles in dramas. Apart from Ehd-e-Wafa she has been playing the yateem, besahara and bebas characters in all the dramas. Her constant sobbing in the recent dramas suggests that the producers are convinced that she is the most suitable actress for playing this role.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

In Hoor Pari, Jo Tou Chahay and Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Alizeh Shah plays the innocent girl who suffers because of her selfish and insincere relatives. In all these plays she has a close relationship with her mother and is the majboor heroine who wants to but is not in a position to question anyone around her.

Pakistani Actors Who Are Being Typecast

Alizeh Shah is completely capable of playing progressive roles therefore she should stop opting for such roles which only require her to look pretty and sob. I loved her in Superstar and would like to see her in different roles.Ā

Can you think of any other Pakistani actors who are being typecast? Feel free to add more names to the list.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

There are many gifted Pakistani actors who have recently and in the past nailed negative roles. It takes a lot of courage for an actor to take up a role that will make the viewers hate their character altogether. There are some actors who played these negative roles so well that they were continuously seen playing such roles. There are others who understand the importance of experimenting with different roles. Such actors made sure that after doing a negative character, they did something entirely different. There are also those actors who have either never played an out-and-out negative character or have not been seen playing such a character for a long time. Even though these actors are considered the best in the industry but somehow they shy away from playing negative characters.

Some of these actors have lately focused entirely on playing likable characters and others prefer playing grey characters which are easier to feel for and understand. All of these actors, in our opinion, are completely capable of playing negative characters therefore we would love to see them in roles that give the viewers a chance to see their versatility.

Here is a list of those top Pakistani actors who we would love to see in a negative role:

[lwptoc]

Sami Khan

Sami Khan is an exceptional actor who can effortlessly make the viewers fall in love with and relate to his characters. He is also one of those few actors on this list who have actually done a variety of roles. He has even played characters that were negative, to begin with, but then they redeemed themselves. It won’t be wrong to say that he excels in translating such characters on screen. He has however never played an out-and-out negative character which the viewers had a reason to hate. Since Sami Khan understands his characters so well and his portrayals are always brilliant, we would love to see him in a character such as the one played by Omair Rana in Pyar Ke Sadqay or Adnan Siddiqui in Mere Pass Tum Ho. Sami Khan has the screen presence and acting ability to make such characters come alive on screen. We are convinced that if Sami Khan chooses to play such a character, he will leave everyone in awe.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Mahira Khan

We have all seen Mahira Khan playing more or less similar roles in dramas. On the big screen, Mahira Khan has often experimented but we have never seen her playing an absolutely negative character in any of her projects. Even though Mahira has a certain style of acting that is perhaps more appropriate for the kind of roles she plays but we are pretty sure that under the direction of a capable director, Mahira Khan can excel in playing a negative character. Since she is already thinking about making a comeback to dramas, it would be such a great idea to do so with a character that we have never seen her play on television. We have seen some really interesting negative roles even in dramas therefore we are pretty sure that our writers can pen down a role that would be perfect for this comeback on television.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Hira Mani

Hira Mani has got herself recognized as one of the leading ladies of the Pakistani drama industry in a short span of time. She is really conscious of the kind of projects she takes up. She makes sure that every time she is part of a project, the characters she plays are different from one another. Even then, she hasn’t even once played a negative character. It is quite evident from her interviews that she chooses the kind of characters she can relate to and perhaps that is the reason why negative characters have never appealed to her. She was even offered to play the role Hania Aamir did later on in the drama serial Dil Ruba. Well, we are glad that she did not opt for this particular character since that wasn’t the kind of negative character we want to see Hira Mani playing. Even a negative character should have a certain kind of appeal and depth which that character was definitely lacking. Most often the negative characters for females are not written well, we hope that one of the writers can pen down such a character which Hira Mani would like to translate on-screen.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Humayun Saeed

Humayun Saeed played a negative character in the drama serial Kaafir but lately, we have been watching him choose the kind of roles that have made the viewers fall in love with his characters and the actor of course. Even though we truly love the choices Humayun Saeed has made recently, we do feel that watching him play a role such as that of Shehwar will definitely be exciting. Interestingly enough everyone around him also felt the same way when the casting for Mere Pass Tum Ho was being finalized but Humayun Saeed was the one who chose to play Danish’s character and made it memorable. We are certain that if Humayun Saeed takes up a negative role with the same intent and dedication, he can make it memorable as well. Like many other actors who mesmerized the viewers with such positive roles and then surprised them with their portrayals in negative roles, we feel that Humayun Saeed has what it takes to surprise the viewers in a similar manner.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Sonya Hussyn

Sonya Hussyn is another actress who has extraordinary acting skills but it won’t be wrong to say that she has always made a conscious effort to choose roles that are not negative. Even in Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida, the writer constantly tried to make the viewers feel sorry for Ulfat’s character ignoring the fact that she was greedy enough to ā€˜sell’ her husband. There is no denying the fact that she can indeed make the viewers feel for her characters. Sonya Hussyn also refused to play Mehwish’s role in Mere Pass Tum Ho because according to her it showed women in a bad light. She was perhaps talking about cheating because otherwise, Ulfat was just as greedy as Mehwish. Sonya Hussyn is definitely someone who does not want to play a negative character for her own reasons; this is perhaps her way of being a feminist. We do feel however that a well-written negative character would be perfect for Sonya since she knows how to breathe life into all the characters she chooses to play. We hope that this year Sonya Hussyn will use her great acting skills to give us one such memorable character.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Yumna Zaidi

Yumna Zaidi has been a part of the drama industry for a considerable amount of time now. In the initial years, she used to experiment a lot and that has definitely continued to date because she is one of the very few actresses who makes sure that none of her projects or roles are similar. Yumna Zaidi has definitely done some negative characters at an early stage of her career in dramas like Rishte Kuch Adhoore Se and Mausam, however, during that period she was very much underrated. Yumna Zaidi is now one of the leading actresses of the current era and has a massive fan following, people love her for her craft and phenomenal acting skills, this is why her limited appearance in Ishq Zahe Naseeb where she played the role of a complex Shakira was very much appreciated. It has given us an idea of how powerfully she can portray a negative character if it is well written and is executed appropriately. Yumna Zaidi definitely has it in her to convey all such strong and intense emotions that would make her negative character a talk of the town.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Mansha Pasha

Mansha Pasha has been a part of the industry for a decent amount of time but it is only recently that she has come to the forefront and has people looking forward to her projects. Mansha Pasha is also one of those actresses who believe in variety therefore she likes to experiment a lot. She has played negative characters in Mohabbat Subha Ka Sitara Hai and Surkh Chandni, for which she got a lot of recognition and appreciation for the effortless performances, therefore it won’t be wrong to say that Mansha Pasha can definitely shine in a negative character and make it look good. The best part is that she definitely knows how to subtly and underplay such characters which definitely is going to enhance her performance in such a role.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Urwa Hocane

There is no denying the fact that Urwa Hocane is a very confident actor and it is because of this very confidence that she finds herself performing her characters with so much ease irrespective of how tough they are. Urwa Hocane has it in her to own and embrace any character that she takes up, therefore it would definitely be interesting to see her playing a negative role. She is such a performer that can either make or break a drama so seeing her play a negative character would be nothing short of a treat. Urwa has been very selective about her work and because she continues to work in films, she does not really take many TV projects, this is exactly why after Udaari she was seen in Mushk after so many years. She has done negative character at the beginning of her career in the drama serial Madiha Maliha but it was a very typical story based on sister rivalry. Urwa Hocane should definitely take up a negative role but since she has matured over the years especially with her project choices, it would definitely be interesting to see her nailing such a character.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Saba Qamar

Saba Qamar has established herself as one of the biggest stars of the Pakistani showbiz industry. This is the reason why every time she is associated with a project, it gets a lot of attention. Saba Qamar has worked a lot of dramas in the past but in recent years, she has become a lot more conscious and choosy about her work. Another reason is that because she also works in movies, she makes sure that her TV appearances are substantial and unique. Saba Qamar has the type of aura that can make any character unforgettable, this is exactly why even after so many years, viewers still remember her performance and character from the drama serial Maat, where she played a negative younger sister. Saba Qamar has definitely come a long way and makes viewers wait for her dramas, it would definitely be interesting to see her taking up a negative role and portraying it to perfection.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Sajal Aly

Sajal Aly is a big name in the Pakistani drama industry. She has worked very hard starting from a young age to be where she is. Over the years she has proved her mettle as an actor again and again by taking up a variety of roles, therefore, it can be said with full confidence that irrespective of the nature of the role, she can definitely do full justice to it. Sajal has done negative roles in the past in dramas like O Rangreza and Ladon Main Pali, therefore she has given the viewers a taste of what it would be like seeing her in a role similar to that one too. It is because she can breathe life into any character that she takes up, it would be quite an experience seeing Sajal taking up a negative role and doing complete justice to it.

Pakistani Actors We Want To See In Negative Roles

Neelam Munir Khan

Neelam Munir Khan rose to fame with a negative character that she played in Dil Mom Ka Diya. As an actor and performer, she has all the right to be picky about her projects and experimenting so that she gets to play a variety of projects. After her famous drama Dil Mom Ka Diya, Neelam Munir definitely has taken up substantial roles and has done complete justice to them, therefore it won’t be too much to wish to see her appearing in such kind of character once again because of the finesse and ease with which she performed a complicated and negative character of Ulfat goes to show how much of a grip she can have on such characters to even make them believable. Neelam Munir Khan has done plenty of roles in different dramas but it won’t be wrong to say that it was purely because of her phenomenal performance that Dil Mom Ka Diya became so popular and viewers loved to see Ulfat’s antics.

0

There are so many eligible bachelors in the Pakistani entertainment industry. These actors have a massive fan following and have done wonders in dramas as well as films. However, many of them have chosen to stay single even though they have reached an age where most people get married and even have kids. Marriage is a personal choice therefore it is actually good that these Pakistani actors have decided to wait for the right time and the right partner to tie the knot. While giving interviews many Pakistani celebrities have talked about what kind of a person they would like to get married to. That also says a great deal about the kind of person they are waiting for so that they can finally tie the knot.

Here are some interesting views and statements of Pakistani actors about what their ideal life partners would be like:

Yumna Zaidi

Yumna Zaidi has always impressed her fans with her choices and performances. She is always extremely honest in all her interviews. When she was asked by Samina Peerzada what her take on love and marriage was, her response was different from what you would expect from an actress. She shared that her parents really wanted her to get married but she was having a difficult time finding the right man. Yumna Zaidi wants to marry someone who is controlling because according to her, she does not want to be the dominating partner in the relationship. She believes that the man should have a strong personality so that he can play the role of the head of the family.

Neelam Muneer

Neelam Muneer is another leading lady of Pakistani dramas and films who has not yet tied the knot. Neelam Muneer believes that she can only fall in love with someone who manages to make a place in her heart. She is also convinced that it is not easy for any man to do so conveniently. Neelam Muneer’s ideal man will be kind, will have a good heart, his relationship with family members also matters and what his family thinks about him. Neelam Muneer thinks that it isn’t easy making a place in her heart. Neelam shared all this in one of her interviews.

Pakistani Actors Views About Their Ideal Life Partners

Hiba Bukhari is one of the most popular and sought-after Pakistani actresses right now. There was a rumor that Hiba was married when she entered the industry. However, in an interview, she clarified that she was not married. She also shared in another interview that she has been getting proposals for marriage ever since she was going to school! While talking about her ideal life partner, Hiba shared that she wants to marry a level-headed sensible man who knows how to keep his relationships strong with everyone around him. Hiba’s definition of an ideal man is really mature as well as basic.

Humaima Malick

Humaima Malick has worked in Pakistan and also across the border. She got married at a young age to the actor and director Shamoon Abbasi. However, this marriage did not work out. In a recent interview, Humaima Malick was asked by Ahsan Khan, the host, what her ideal man would be like. Her sister candidly remarked that Humaima’s criteria’s for the ideal life partner kept on changing. However, while seriously talking about the qualities of an ideal life partner Humaima Malick shared that she needed someone like her late father in her life, who always build her mother up and supported her in every way. Humaima wants to marry someone who will make her grow in every important aspect of her being.

Kinza Hashmi

Kinza Hashmi is one of the youngest Pakistani actresses. She has managed to achieve a great deal by working hard. She is also known for her commitment to her work. Since she is young and pretty, very often she gets proposals for marriage. However, she has refused some of these proposals strictly because of her age. Kinza Hashmi wants that her life partner should be 6 or more years older than her. She shared this while giving an interview to Shaista Lodhi. She said that boys who are even 4 years older than her feel as if they are like her brothers! She is pretty sure that she cannot get married to someone who is even 5 years older than her.

Bilal Abbas Khan

Bilal Abbas Khan can easily be termed as the most eligible bachelor of the Pakistani entertainment industry. He has given a lot of interviews but in most interviews, he focuses on his career and does not talk about his personal life and choices. In a rare interview, he talked about love and what it meant for him. Besides this, he also summed up the main quality in a woman that appeals to him. According to him, someone’s intelligence is more attractive than any other quality. Although Bilal Abbas is still young his outlook towards life is mature.

Mehwish Hayat

Mehwish Hayat is well recognized as one of the biggest superstars of the industry. She is attractive and stylish. Mehwish has often talked about marriages, commitment, and love in shows since everyone wants to know when she is getting married. In one of the shows, she stated that she had no intention to be a trophy wife. She will get married to someone who values her and gives her the space to be what she wants to be. In another interview, she shared that being kind and empathetic is the best quality in a man. She does not believe that outward appearances can be a determining factor while choosing a life partner. Her ideal life partner will be cultured with a good sense of humor. She also wants her life partner to be romantic because she isn’t very romantic herself so her spouse will have to balance that out!

Saba Qamar

Saba Qamar is one of the most versatile actresses of the industry who always speaks her mind. Saba has not decided to marry just yet although she has repeatedly talked about how often she has fallen in love, she hasn’t yet found the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with. While talking to Momin Ali Munshi on his talk show, Saba Qamar shared that her ideal life partner would be one who does not get into arguments needlessly. She said that mature people should be able to talk things out but nowadays, people love to argue and fight about everything.

Komal Rizvi

Komal Rizvi recently opened up about her bitter experience of being married to an abusive partner. Back in 2016 when she was invited as a guest on Nadia Khan’s morning show she shared in detail the kind of qualities she wanted in her life partner. Komal shared, ā€œIt is really strange that my list is very basic and simple but the Pakistani men nowadays don’t even come up to those standards. The man I want to marry should be sharif, he should respect me, he should love me and not look or think about other women. He should respect my family and he should be a good father.ā€ She also added, ā€œI want a good man, an honest man. I am very honest myself. I hardly ever lie unless I feel that someone will be very hurt if I speak the truth.ā€ We hope and pray that Komal meets someone who is close to her ideal.Pakistani Actors Views About Their Ideal Life Partners

Pakistani Actors speak up For Their Rights

0

“I don’t want to see a future where I am going to do voice acting on someone else’s face; that is simply outrageous!ā€ said by Humayun Saeed in reference to the Turkish plays aired on Pakistani channels. At one end where there is a hype created by foreign play like, Ishq-e- Mamnoon, where its mega hit all over the middle east has brought highest rating , the silence of endangering Pakistani drama industry has grown to such as extent that Saeed hypothesis concludes that ā€œIf such serials start running regularly, then there will be no audience for Pakistani content,ā€ whereas ,veteran television and stage writer-director Khalid Ahmed says ā€œhe is glad that better quality programming is being broadcast in Pakistanā€. What about aagan tera, Alpha Bravo Charlie, Dhuan, etc which were used to be few of the many Pakistani legendary dramas and still there are many broadcasting like Humsafar, but now is it the quality of production or the invasion of foreign plays in Pakistani industry that is leading to endangering or extinction of Pakistani actors.

Pakistani Actors Rejected by India Yet Desperate for Approval

Pakistani actors have gathered a huge Indian following in the past two decades. Our dramas have become hugely popular in India, and many Pakistani stars are household names among the Indian audience. Similarly, Bollywood stars have a fan following in Pakistan. However, this never took away the animosity between the two countries on the governmental level. The Indian Government, since the rise of Modi and the BJP, has become vicious, and intolerance has exponentially increased in Indian society. The latest manifestation came when the Indian Government blamed Pakistan for the Pehelgam Attacks without proper evidence. They went on a banning spree after this and banned Pakistani dramas and social media accounts of big stars in their country. As usual, there were never any serious measures towards investigation, and only petty measures were taken.

The Peculiar case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

The Beginning

Pakistani actors and singers have worked in India since the very beginning. But things were different at that time. The artists liked to maintain their dignity before the work they were getting across the border. Zeba Bakhtiar is an actress who became a top star in India years ago. She was the Raj Kapoor heroine and only picked projects that did not cross her lines. The starlet shared in one of her interviews that India and Pakistan will always be at odds. Someone will make a statement, and suddenly everything will go haywire. She added that back in the day, the producers she worked with were protective, and they used to take ownership of the artist.

The Peculiar Case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

This is something missing nowadays, as we saw how Fawad Khan’s film was shelved within hours of the attack. Here is how Zeba Bakhtiar defined the old dynamics:

Post-2015 Disrespect

The Peculiar Case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

Pakistani actors started getting a huge fan following in India after Pakistani dramas started airing on Zee Zindagi. Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Sanam Saeed became sensations for their projects Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai. They were offered Bollywood films, and Fawad did Khoobsurat, Kapoor & Sons, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, while Mahira made her debut with SRK’s Raees. The two actors were already big names in India before they made their film debut. But India, as always, treated them with disrespect.

The Peculiar Case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

Both artists were banned and disrespected in late 2016-2017. They were not allowed to work in Bollywood again, and fake news of them being deported was circulated by the Indian media. The artists, however, kept with the line of “Artists have no boundaries” and never openly called out this behaviour of the Indian media and government. It was once again the Pakistani fans who stood by their favourite stars and replied back to the disrespect that their favourite stars were receiving from Indians.

The Fawad Khan Case

The Peculiar Case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

Fawad Khan is considered one of the biggest stars in Pakistan, despite working sporadically. After making his Bollywood debut in Khoobsurat, he has primarily focused on projects in India. Following a ban, he opted not to appear on television. He was involved in two films, including The Legend of Maula Jatt, which he had already been signed for before the controversy arose. He chose to work on a series for an Indian platform. This decision has disappointed many of his Pakistani fans, who miss seeing him in mainstream projects. Recently, he addressed the criticism he faces for not taking on Pakistani projects, explaining that some people are possessive of him, while others criticize him simply for the sake of it.

Fawad Khan is a Pakistani actor who never says anything on social media because he frankly does not use it. He did not make statements in the Gaza Genocide or the Jaffar Express Attack either, but he posted for the Pehelgam Attacks. This caused a lot of uproar among Pakistani fans who thought that at this point, this is just a lack of self-respect. His film Abir Gulal is once again on hold, and his Instagram account also got banned in India.

The Mahira Khan Case

The Peculiar Case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

Mahira Khan is also counted among the top Pakistani actors. She also had a grand debut in Bollywood when she played the lead in SRK’s Raees but she navigated her career in a far better way than Fawad Khan and today she is a bigger star than him. She has worked consistently in Pakistan. Mahira is proud of the work she did in Bollywood and she always talks about her Indian film but she never belittles her Pakistani work. She will speak about her Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol and Sarmad Khoosat’s Humsafar with the same vigor. She has also worked on television and she will speak up on Pakistani issues as much as she speaks out on Indian attacks.

The Hania Aamir Case

The Peculiar Case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

Hania Aamir is a young star who just started gaining limelight in India. Her dramas Mere Humsafar and Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum made her a household name in India. She was cast in a film with Diljit Dosanjh and she was promoting many Indian designers. The actress was among the first Pakistani artists who condemned Pehelgam attacks. She has spoken about propagating peace but she was shunned, her Instagram account was banned, she was reportedly removed from the Diljit Dosanjh movie and Indians were hurling abusive and offensive statements towards her:

Does Art Have No Boudaries?

Pakistani Actors Rejected by India Yet Desperate for Approval

Recently, art has no boundaries was once again being propagated. This statement is a universal truth, but Radcliffe Line defies its logic. Unfortunately, India has never believed in it. As soon as they have a security breach due to their own wrong policies, they will start targeting Pakistan and Pakistani actors and singers. Their artists are also vicious and seldom can hold their own opinions. They start towing the Government’s line of hatred. They will call for bans on Pakistanis and what our stars do? Invite the same hatred-spewing Javed Akhtar to their homes and will sit at his feet. One-sided love will always bring pain and that is something our artists should have learned by now. This is what happened recently:

In Conclusion

The Peculiar Case Of Pakistani Actors’ Romance With India

Pakistan as a nation has seen the worst of terrorism. We are among the biggest victims of terrorist attacks, with a loss of over 80,000 lives in addition to property damage. We have fought the worst attacks and lost two generations in the American WoT. Our stars have also gone through this pain. Thus, they need to be dignified when India starts attacking us, that too without any evidence. Patriotism then needs to come before art and work opportunities. Yes, we as a nation know how painful it is to lose lives in mindless attacks, but we do not need to be apologetic for something we have not done. Pakistani actors need to grow a spine, and they should condemn violence everywhere in the world, but do not disgrace themselves or the country they represent.

Despite repeated bans and public disrespect, many Pakistani actors continue to chase Bollywood like it’s their only lifeline. Their silence on India’s political hostility isn’t diplomacy, it is desperation wrapped in fear of losing opportunities. While artists from across the border face no such pressure to please, ours remain apologetic, even when wronged. It’s not ambition anymore — it’s an obsession with approval from a door that keeps slamming shut.

Pakistani Actors Obsession With Skin Lightening Injections

Pakistani actors and actresses have evolved through years. Now we do not see them only on our screens but they also share their opinions online and share their opinions about different causes. Beauty is an integral part of showbiz industry but many times our celebrities are seen propagating lessons of self-love and talking against the toxic standards of beauty. Many of them however, do end up following the same beauty standards, the foremost being fair complexion.

Many of our stars have been seen taking glutathione and Vitamin C complex drips to lighten their complexion and looks like this is the new trend in town:

Pakistani Actors demand a raise in Pay after the Budget 2013

0

After the elections of May 2013, the PML-N has formed its government in the country and recently passed its first budget that is still been criticized by people all over the country. While the increment in salaries of the government employees was only 10% on their basic salary this time, the government played a little cruel game by increasing the GST on every product, making things expensive in general. It was this time that a special tax is now imposed on all the foreign content whether it be the Turkish or Indian dramas or the Bollywood or Hollywood movies. Giving a further blow to the entertainment industry and the life of Producers, The celebrities are now demanding a rise in package per episode.

One of the newspapers covered a special report where it highlighted that the cream actors of the drama industry including Noman Ajaz, Maria Wasti, Faisal Qureshi, Saba Qamar, Gohar Mumtaz, etc. have Ā demanded to increase their pay per episode with Rs. 5000 as the GST has made everything expensive.

390072_283965921748585_403429047_n

Some of the other celebrities have already raised their prices and the producers are now finding it difficult to negotiate with them on the said issue. According to these celebrities, their demand is just and they will not turn it down no matter what happens.

Lets see how producers will now settle the issue, but there is one thing for sure that the budget has increased problems for the poor citizens of the society who cannot even raise their voice to demand or request an increase in their daily wages.

God Bless this Country,
