He also said that when trust ends that is when a relationship gets destroyed.
Here is what he shared:
What pushes him to end any relationship is when he feels that the other person is not putting in as much effort as he is putting in any equation. He is very understanding and believes in live and let live but a lack of equal effort does push him to end any relationship.
This is what Mikaal said:
He also shared his take on if women are jahil after the Sahil Adeem controversy. He said that women are much smarter than men but we have a lot of illiteracy in our society and it is not confined to any one gender.

First of all, before you shoot me down or label me which I cannot get off,I am a lover of Pakistani Dramas and I love and cherish them and this article has been written solely to make drama makers realize some important things
1- Everyone in this world is too bad for words. There is no such thing as goodness in any human you come across.Try insects or birds or Martians from Mars, they might have some goodness or better still go to a museum to find the ‘preserved goodness that was once there in humans’.I am talking about the time before the advent of private entertainment channels in Pakistan.O God, what a luxury called ‘goodness of humans’ we had then.
2- You sister is your worst enemy girls. If you have a sister poison her ‘roti’ or ‘macaroni’ whatever she likes at the first possible opportunity or give wrong eye drops to her so that she better not dare look at your love interest. You can also try forcing her into a plane leaving for Somalia or Yemen.
3- A woman’s in-laws are the worst possible people on earth. They should better be turned into frogs with the wave of a magic wand and left in some local ‘mineral water pond’.Mean, nasty and cruel creatures, even Dracula would look better in front of them.Good in-laws – a specie as extent as the dinosaurs.
4- A woman’s only job in this world is to cry and sacrifice.Sacrifice and cry.Cry and sacrifice. Can’t a woman do something else? For heavens sake, you want to ruin our ratings!
5- Rich girls fall for poor guys and poor girls fall for rich guys.Their own class,no way! This creates a lot of entertainment for them in terms of squeaking, wailing and threatening parents and later in-laws.More fun comes in the shape of schemes and plots that parents and in-laws come up with. Now this ‘facility’ cannot be enjoyed if you marry within your own class, right?
6- Poor girls are after riches and money only. They would marry a tree if money grows on it and would continue to pluck the delicious notes all their lives. The saliva of poor girls come out the moment they see a rich guy and they ruin themselves in trying to hook themselves to rich guys.
7- The strictness of the parents especially the father is directly proportional to the number of affairs the daughters would have. For those not-so-intelligent like me,the more strict the father is,more is the number of affairs the daughters have. The drama writers and makers have made it what we used to call in school ‘a universal truth’.Don’t you dare challenge it!
8- Step mothers are evil reincarnated. They have no heart (how they breath then remains a mystery) but its true. They drive their energy from destroying the lives of their step children and the pain and misery of their step children is Energy Drink for them. The tongues of these step mothers are as long as the great wall of china and some of them have rods and sticks with them also.
9- Every wedding has to be loud with weird characters roaming around trying to act funny.A loud mouthed aunty is sure to be among one of the characters while opposition to the wedding is also essential as it creates the necessary ‘tarka’ or the icing on the cake. That’s the way every wedding should be,no?
10- Women shouldn’t be doing jobs,it makes other women sneak into their house and take their men!High number of females doing jobs these days,oh never mind! They are outliers that we don’t consider while calculating average.A woman belongs to the house, stepping out of the house is sure shot recipe of affair and possible marriage by her husband.
Mothers are a blessing in our life and showing them how important they are to us is something we all should do. Mothers are the emotional backbones of every family. They provide the holding place for everyone’s feelings and do their best to keep us away from harm’s way. No love is as unconditional as a love of a mother for her children. It is mothers who teach teach us how to be a functioning adult. If they hadn’t done their job then we wouldn’t be making through the modern world at all. Nida Yasir and her brother acknowledged the importance of their mother in their life by writing very sweet, very heartfelt messages for her on her birthday. Watch the video below to learn what is it that they wrote and who’s messaged did Nida’s mother prefer:
Parchi system, unfortunately, is highly rampant in the showbiz industry just like all the other sectors of the country. It is no longer a hidden truth because several people belonging to the industry have often talked about actors with connections getting lead roles. While there is no denying the fact that some of the actors who get their big breaks through parchi system are talented as well, there are many who only get the opportunity to be part of mega projects because someone they are related to is well-connected in the industry.
Parchi and Talent
There is nothing unusual about children following in their parent’s footsteps. There are innumerable actors whose parents were phenomenal actors and they are equally talented. Their parents helped them be a part of the showbiz industry but even if they were not good at acting at first, they learned with experience and now they are making their parents proud. Ali Abbas is one such example. He pursued acting because he was passionate about it and over the years he has proved that he is not just a parchi but he also has the talent to take his career further. However, Ali Abbas is still not marketed as a ‘star’ by the production houses. He has not bagged a single role that can in any way be termed as a product of privilege alone.
Another example is that of Faizan Sheikh. His mother Parveen Akbar is a well-known and established actor in the drama industry. Faizan Sheikh is also a powerful performer with many talents to his credit. Not only can he act well but he is also an impressive dancer. He also excels at hosting talk shows. However, he has been awarded, acknowledged, promoted, or appreciated in a way that one would call a product of parchi. His mother might have helped him be a part of the industry but surely he did not benefit from the parchi system in the industry.
It can therefore be safely stated that even some of the actors with parchi and talent have not been able to enjoy star status.
Parchi and Lack of Talent
There are many other examples where actors entered the showbiz industry purely because of the parchi system. In the beginning, they struggled but gradually they learned the craft. Shahroz Sabzwari and Shehzad Sheikh are two such examples. These actors did not have much going for them when they entered the industry but because their fathers were from showbiz, they kept on getting projects, and over the years they ‘learned’ the craft while they were part of the industry.
It won’t be wrong to say that if these and other such actors did not have the support of their fathers, they wouldn’t have been given the opportunities they were given in the beginning. However, even after learning the craft both these actors barely got any noteworthy projects in which they stood out or were the actual face of a drama or film.
What Makes Zaviyar Nauman a Parchi?
Zaviyar Nauman’s career started with star-studded projects in which he played leading roles. He is perhaps the only new actor at the moment who did not have a supporting role in any of the dramas. He made his acting debut with drama serial Qissa Meherbano Ka, was seen playing another lead role in Wehem (even though he was completely overshadowed, played another lead role in Sang-e-Mah (and was once again gravely overshadowed), bagged yet another lead role in Bakhtawar (consistently gave another lackluster performance) but that did not stop the makers from promoting him as the face of yet another mega project Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha.
In less than two years, this young man with limited acting skills worked alongside some of the biggest names of the drama industry. Had he been immensely talented, all of it would have made perfect sense but the lack of talent has been obvious in every single one of his projects. That goes to show that Zaviyar Nauman’s presence in the industry is the prime example of parchi system in the industry like no other.
Best New Sensation Award
While many of the talented actors in the industry are still struggling to play leading roles in dramas, Zaviyar Nauman did not only bag one leading role after the other but also won an award soon after his first project went on air. He was recognized as the Best New Sensation by the Hum Style Awards in 2022. A young man who is clearly still struggling to face the camera and fails to make an impact on screen was recognized solely because Hum wanted to please his father. Zaviyar’s father Nauman Ijaz is not only extremely talented but Zaviyar’s career so far clearly indicated that he is also very well connected. He did not compromise on quality at all when it came to choosing the projects his son would work on but when questioned about Zaviyar’s talent, he said that he will learn with time and experience.
Zaviyar Nauman vs Other Big Parchis
Zaviyar Nauman is surely not the only big parchi in the industry. Producer Abdullah Kadwani’s son Haroon Kadwani is another such example. However, Zaviyar’s credentials on the basis of parchi even put Haroon Kadwani’s parchi to shame. His father produced both the projects he worked in and did not impose his son’s limited talent on people. So far, Haroon’s progress in the industry has been steady even though his father could easily ‘speed it up’ if he wanted to do so.
Similarly, Azaan Sami Khan recently made his acting debut with the drama serial Ishq e Laa. Although his performance was not as disappointing as Zaviyar’s performances so far, he had much more going for him than his talented mother’s parchi. Azaan had already established himself as a talented musician before he stepped into acting. Also, he did not work in television projects back-to-back and might be intelligent enough to not work in any more projects until he feels he is confident enough to give a solid performance.
Final Thoughts
Hence proved, that there are other ‘privileged’ actors in the industry as well who recently started an acting career but none of them used the parchi system as blatantly as Zaviyar Nauman did.
Zaviyar Nauman is clearly the biggest parchi in the drama industry at the moment because:
1. The kind and number of projects he has so easily managed to bag in a short period of time.
2. His lack of talent does not determine his ‘worth’ in the industry, his father’s connections are solely responsible for his ‘success’
3. He got an award he did not deserve!
4. He does not even have to work on his looks to get a project.
5. He has been used as the face of every drama he has worked in.
6. The producers are trying their best to make him a star even though he lacks talent.
7. In comparison to other star kids, he is given superior treatment.
It is truly unfortunate that people who have been working tirelessly for years and are genuinely talented are left waiting in line while actors such as Zaviyar Nauman who still need to learn acting are being handed over projects and awards on a silver platter. This trend is really discouraging and demotivating for those who truly deserve these projects and awards.
Madiha Naqvi is a prominent Pakistani news anchor and Journalist. She has done masters in Mass Communication, the beautiful anchor belongs to Lahore,Pakistan. She is now married to the famous politician Faisal Sabzwari who is from Karachi.
Lately, the couple appeared in Time Out with Ahsan Khan. Madiha and Faisal gave a funny and fearless interview. Madiha Naqvi gave her views regarding Meera and Mathira in a segment .
Talking about Meera she said, “I love her, I want her to do morning shows, she is perfect for that, she will up the game of Morning shows because she has that spice and entertainment element that is required for the shows, she does acting too but which last film of her do you remember?, despite less work she knows how to remain in news, she does a few films but still she knows the art of remaining in fame and limelight”. Faisal Sabzwari also said that this is the reason why he says many of politicians as Politics’s Meera.
Talking about Mathira, Madiha Naqvi said that she really likes Mathira. Faysal Said that he can’t even say “me too” on this, Madiha then said that he can also say that as she is really a great human. She said that one can judge someone through her conduct and she’s perfect , you won’t find her doing back biting and bad mouthing, she said that Mathira is beautiful human being and she is fan of her as she is such a positive person.
The much talked about 2nd Hum TV Awards are finally over and that one drama that clearly stood out in all categories, let it be jury or viewers choice was none other than Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Earlier this year, the same play scored many awards in Pakistan Media Awards as well. Needless to say, this is the very play which provided Sanam Saeed an actual boom in the drama sphere since the character she played became insanely popular among masses. I’m sure all of us have witnessed those comics about Kashaf Baji going viral on social media. Although Zindagi Gulzar Hai belongs to 2013 but I still felt this urge to literally dissect the play and trace down all the reasons of this huge success and popularity.
Star Power
Well there is no denial to the fact that the early attraction of the show came from its star cast. Hottie of the town Fawad Khan was starring the show hence the initial hype. Other than Fawad, Samina Peerzada, Ayesha Omar, Mehreen Raheel, Hina, Behroz Sabzwari, Jawaid Sheikh and Waseem Abbas all had their strong screen presence and respective fan following. Sanam Saeed wasn’t really a super star at that time but was a well known face. I remember people debating before the play came on air if she would share a good on-screen chemistry with Fawad Khan but the all those doubts vanished when the play went on air and the main lead even bagged the Hum Award for Best On Screen Couple this year.
Another name that contributed to the initial popularity of the show was of Sultana Siddique herself. ZGH was the play she directed after a really long break and people were eager to watch the fruit of her efforts.
Strong Script
A stupid story absolutely ruins the astonishingly good acting of the star cast, Shakk is a supreme example in this case. Although at times, ZGH felt dragged by the writer but overall the play maintained its equilibrium and quality. Award winning and nation-widely loved playwright Umera Ahmad didn’t disappoint her readers.
Breathing Characters
I really have a hard time digesting made-up larger than life characters, I mean come on, majority of us don’t want to see those extremely innocent-to-the-extent-of-irritation heroines and those deadly perfect heroes. The characters Umera sketched for ZGH were real life-like breathing characters. Zaroon, at his initial phase, was nothing close to be a perfect gentleman. He was a playboy, definitely self-centered and used to hurt people quite often.
Similarly, Kashaf was our average middle class girl who had so many imperfections and flaws in her personality. It was time that gradually both of the lead characters learn their mistakes and overcame them. That’s the beauty of Umera’s characters.
Even that shrewd jealous step mother, always scheming and never happy seemed quite real to me, thankfully she wasn’t as loud as we see the negative characters in dramas now – loud and almost impossible to bear. Take Romaisa’s khala (MSKSH) for instance, I can’t stand the way she speaks, always change channel when she is there. In short, all characters were in balance and very close to reality, a quality which I really adore. Credit definitely goes to writer and director equally.
Relatable Situations
ZGH is a social drama. It is the story of every 6th or 7th house of Pakistan. We say that we have entered the age of technology but gender discrimination still exists in our society. We marginalize people not only on the basis of their gender but also categorize them according to their social status. The branding culture prevailing in our society is making it hard for a lot of families to lead a happy life in society. Kashaf, wasn’t only a victim because she was a girl, rather she was an ordinary middle class girl. This very complex created so many insecurities in her personality which, fortunately, time gradually resolved for her. I’m sure a lot of Pakistani girls could relate themselves with the character and situation presented.
Then there were cases where Umera suggested that female emancipation doesn’t necessarily mean male’s subjugation. I really liked the parts where Sara realized that bossing her husband in the name of female superiority will get her no where, and the beauty of the life lies in the balance.
For me, ZGH was a success because it reflected Pakistan with all its problems and their possible solution. If you are a victim of patriarchy, challenge it like Kashaf’s mother did. The play addressed so many social issues without getting too dense and boring for the audience.
In my personal opinion, ZGH was a perfect serial and offered maximum things that the audience really wanted to see. I can watch the serial over and over again, and hope that in near future we really get to see more serials like this. The plays that are on air this season have really failed to impress me. I tried following Mere Apnay, Shakk and Muhabbat Subh Ka Sitara Hai but they are failing big time to offer anything worth watching and sticking now.
Don’t forget to share your opinion about the play Zindagi Gulzar Hai and the factors you think contributed to the mega success of the play. Did you find the awards this serial won justified? What are some of your favourite aspects of the show?

Its really sad when we see our own actresses arguing on live shows and its not just arguing rather they start insulting each other. Lately in the live show “Siyasi Theatre” on express news which is hosted by the famous Wasi Shah invited the film actresses Meera and Laila.
It was on the show when Meera passed a comment on Laila’s conversation and Laila started speaking wrong English and tried her level best to insult her to the max. Firstly ,this is so disturbing that our celebrities who are not fluent in English forcefully speak the language. Secondly these celebrities being public figures should not insult each other on live shows like that

Love in its essence is always one-sided. She also spoke about going through a huge heartbreak and learnt a lot from it. She loved her first husband but she could not handle abuse.
This is what she said:
She also spoke about how people change after marriage. Women stop caring about their looks and men stop being caring and loving. They take each other for granted. Someone who values you similarly even after marriage is a beautiful person and rare to find. This is what Juggan Kazim said:
Juggan Kazim advised people to end a relationship if you are being taken for granted. She said that get out of the equation if you are not happy there.

This video has gone viral on the internet not because it is obscene but because the lady who came up with this idea picked up a very novel idea to promote something that serves a social cause. Usually there are many problems which women have which are not treated on time therefore the WHO and other institutions and people try to make women aware about these medical issues in whatever way they can. The woman in the video wore a robe and opened it in public just to get the attention of the public because otherwise if she was wearing this same T shirt she could not have attracted so much attention. Everyone in the public is curious therefore they pay attention to her. Also, many people who watch this video may take it in a different context when they watch the beginning but they are sure to be shocked when they see the ending.
See the video and tell if you were shocked to see how it ended.
Minal Khan is brilliant Pakistani actress who is earning name and fame because of her stellar performances and back-to-back hit projects. Her dramas Nand, Jalan and Hassad became popular. Minal then said that she doesn’t drink just water only but she also drinks a lot of liquids including coffee, green tea and fresh juices. It is said that if you view acts of violence/ aggression and the likes, it in turn reduces our responsiveness to them thereby making them appear normal to us. Seeing a pattern of behaviour over and over again, we tend to subconsciously accept it. Talking to my sister who resides in Karachi, I often hear her say “Yeh toh yahan roz ki baat hai…” as if a bombing was as commonplace as fireworks at a wedding. People have a lukewarm response at most when narrating the latest target killing, tact of terrorism, etc. Similarly, we the audience are being routinely exposed to drama after drama that are passing on violence and abuse as if they were promoting some new blend of chai. Has abuse become something we now readily accept as a part of life? Is putting up with violence the prerequisite for a girl getting married? How many such concepts are quickly creeping into our dramas making them the new normal?
Browse through any random drama and you’d come across some common themes- dusri shadi, women putting up with abuse because their husband lost their cool, talaaq, jadu and jahalat. We are repeatedly seeing women being mistreated, ridiculed, humiliated, raped and yet it is simply a part of the storyline and in the end, the women pretend like nothing was ever wrong- a few quick tears and all is well with the world. I often wonder where the writers who pen these storylines seek inspiration for their creativity? Is our society embedded in such vices and are we being ignorant of shrugging them off or is this slowly becoming something we are ready to accept as a part of the society we live in?
What good can come of out showing a man who takes another wife and then justifying his reasons for it? Is there nothing a woman can say or do to ensure her man will remain faithful to her for the years she gives to her marriage? Why is it that every time there’s an argument between a husband and wife the wife is either slapped into submission or shown the door with a divorce? Have we seriously become so numb that we watch all of this unfolding on our televisions without so much as flinching? Soon there will be a time when every girl getting married assumes her husband is entitled to abusing her as he pleases and she will become accepting of this treatment. Are we creating a breed of domesticated, unthinking women who have little purpose in life except putting up with whatever they are subject to? I am seriously frustrated with the line-up of dramas that deal with some or all of these issues and never actually make a point. Can we please just put an end to all this rubbish?
Yes seriously, those people who are going gaga over the Turkish plays please enlighten me, what exactly is it about these plays that is so different or unique and obviously appealing that I find so many people praising these plays and of course following them. Turkish dramas have been criticized to the limit, I know that but the fact is that they have a huge fan following. I have witnessed it around me and I also know it because of the number of people who watch these dramas online. People may not have the “courage” to say outright that these dramas are great and we love them because there will be too many people “judging” them then but there is a big “silent” majority who follows these dramas. I have nothing against Turkish dramas; I am definitely not the part of the “group” that dislikes Turkish dramas solely because they are foreign! I tried watching Ishq-e-Mamnu when it went on air because practically every second person around me was talking about it, like it was something very special but I found the whole dubbing factor a huge put off and couldn’t watch it. I must confess though that based on the opinions of many people I know, I did feel like I was missing out something big.
Things have changed greatly now in the past few months, even if you don’t like something about these plays, you still ended up watching a few minutes of a Turkish play every now and then while switching channels or out of sheer curiosity because they are being aired on every single channel and also because sometimes it seems like Turkish plays are all that there is on television at a given time. I ended up watching a few episodes of these Turkish plays in bits and pieces and I think I got the gist of all the stories quite well. Most of the stories revolve around rich families with twisted morals (illegitimate children and extra marital affairs); most of the family members are very actively involved in plotting and planning, young or old. Yes, there most certainly was a lot of plotting and conspiracies in the few episodes I watched. I watched at least two different plays in which the sisters (or the step sister) were after their Brother-in-Laws. The one on Hum TV is pretty much the same as the twisted sibling stories we see on our screens very often. One sister is holier than thou and the other one is totally opposite – she is out to ruin her sister’s life. The plotting and planning is very different from our dramas (it is much more intricate) but that is what it is. Almost all the stories revolve around married couples and families that have ugly secrets. Don’t we see all of just that in our plays too? The only difference is that the women in our plays are not dressed to kill and the houses are not so beautiful. Yes, some of these dramas proved to be visual treats but nothing more than that. There was nothing about the stories at all that made me stand up and take notice or look forward to more.
My opinion is based on watching only a few episodes of some of these plays. I would really like the viewers who like Turkish plays to tell me that what is about these plays that is so different? Is it because of the different faces (I have to say some of them are very pretty!) or is it because people like the settings of the plays which are obviously different too. Is there a Turkish drama on air right now, the story of which does not revolve around family politics of rich families or extra marital affairs? I heard Fatima Gul had a different story but I didn’t watch it at all. I don’t mean to be sarcastic or critical, I am just very curious to hear what is it that the viewers like about these plays. Feel free to share your thoughts.
