Hadiqa Kiani was a guest on Fuchsia where she shared how she has been helping the flood effectees through Vaseelah e Raah. She has been collecting donations and donating food items, blankets, charpais and rugs to the people waiting. But the biggest project she has taken up is building 200 houses that were destroyed by the floods.

Hadiqa also shared the painful stories from the flood affected areas. She shared how she herself got an eye infection and kids there are fighting skin infections and diseases due to the standing contaminated flood water. She added that many people do not have proper clothing and children do not have shoes which have made their feet like stone.

Hadiqa also shared that she got to know about a pregnant woman who was stranded in the area. Her husband tried to find help for her by putting her in a cart and taking her out of there but she died on the cart along with her baby after two and a half hours.

Medical facilities in those areas are non-existent. Hadiqa with her team took medicines in an effected area where doctors from Pakistan Army helped to administer them but since then medicines for snake bites which have become very common and malaria medicines have also become extinct.

Hadiqa is a senior and accomplished Pakistani singer, songwriter, and philanthropist who is associated with the Pakistani industry for a long time. She has given remarkable and pre-eminent music to the industry in her soulful voice. Hadiqa Kiani recently appeared in an interview with “Rewind with Samina Peerzada”.

Hadiqa Kiani while talking about her personal life and struggles she faced in her life, mentioned that “After my divorce, when I was single I had a wish that I want my own child, I had a wish to become a mother. I adopted a kid and actually my son was the reason behind my second marriage.”

“I wanted to give my child his father’s name and the love of both the parents, so I decided to get married just for him to give him a happy and normal life. Unfortunately the marriage didn’t turned out the way I thought so we parted our ways after 2 months of our marriage”, added Hadiqa.

One of the prominent and famous actress and singer of Pakistan, Hadiqa Kiani recently appeared in “Good Morning Pakistan”.

Hadiqa Kiani while talking about the struggles she faced in her childhood after her father’s death, mentioned that “We faced many issues after my father’s death. We faced many property issues. My father’s elder brother was the one who created a lot of problems for my mother after my father’s death.”

“Our personal home, my father’s car, everything was snatched away from us even the decoration pieces we had in our home, but we were lucky enough that we got a residence in my mother’s school. My mother was a young widow, so she was not able to fight with those powerful people. We were left empty handed but at that moment the thing which helped us was my mother’s education”, added Hadiqa Kiani.

Who doesn’t know Hadiqa Kiani? Singer of iconic songs including Boohay Baariyan, Hona Tha Pyar, Kamli, Yaar Sajan, Bhit Ja Bhitai, Zindagi Khaak Na Thi, Jaanan, Chaap Tilak, Dil Janiya, and plenty of others. She’s one of Pakistan’s bonafide pop stars, can sing in foreign languages. Hadiqa Kiani has also stepped into the field of acting and made her acting debut with the first episode of the drama serial Raqeeb Se, whose first episode has created a buzz.

After experimenting with different genres, Hadiqa has finally shifted her niche to Sufi music. She has sung a few Sufi songs that garnered a lot of appreciation. Hadiqa Kiani has finally achieved another milestone and released her first Qawali. The name of Hadiqa’s first Qawali is Jaanay Iss Dil. It is produced by Mian Yousuf Salahuddin and directed by Abdullah Haris. The Qawali is composed by Ustad Dildaar Hussain who was Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s patent tabla player.

Hadiqa Kiani’s talent and popularity is no alien concept to the music lovers of Pakistan, but this time the veteran singer has been reigning supreme with folk lore.

Wajd is her new project, about reliving Punjabi historical folk songs and she has amassed a hundred million views with its first three chapters. The songs were Kamlee Tha Dhola, Bhit Ja Bhitaai and Aj Rung Hai and they have been instant hits.

The fourth chapter of Wajd, Kamli, is a tribute to Baba Bulleh Shah. The other artists in Kamli are Steive George on the Saz Baglama, Baqir Abbas on the flute, Asif Ali Goga on the Qawaali Jori, Irfan Kiani and Imran Ali on the harmonium.
