Juggun Kazim is a Pakistani Canadian actress, Youtube personality and host. In December 2004, she returned from Canada to Pakistan, when she married Ahmed Tajik, she met him while attending a friend’s wedding.

After just over a year of marriage, during which Ahmed beat her, she left him, taking their two-month-old son, Hamza, with her. The father is not involved in her son’s upbringing; she says this was a mutual decision, influenced by her experiences as the child of divorced parents. She married Feisal H Naqvi, with whom she has another son, Hassan, on 27 June 2013.

Juggun Kazim in an interview with Samina Peerzada shared about her abusive husband and how he used to beat her over minor issues.

“First I got nikkahfied and then I tried to make my marriage work. After six months I left because in that time period he used to beat me very badly. I used to get astonished after being abused by him. I stopped watching myself in the mirror and sometimes if I did see my face in the mirror my whole face was bruised,” Kazim shared.

On asking upon why did she take it for the first time? Juggun replied, “when he beat me for the first time I was leaving but he forced me to stop. He said sorry and I believed him and stopped.”

After delivering a critically acclaimed family drama with Cake, director Asim Abbasi is now all set to tap the world of web series in Pakistan.

Taking to his Twitter, the director, announced his web series Churails, which as he says will shatter a number of stereotypes in the society.

Currently talking to Images, Asim Abbasi also added, “I am super excited about Churails. It has been creatively such a liberating experience for me, to tell this story as unabashedly as it needs to be told. The web series is expected to release on an international platform, most probably in the first quarter of next year. Cast will be revealed in due time.”

Amna Ilyas in an interview talked about her experience as a dark-skinned girl and what she has faced.

“No matter how sons look like but our mothers say our daughters-in-law must be pure white. When I was growing up my aunts, cousins, commented on me that I am black because of going to school and told me about remedies. People don’t realize how sensitive this matter is and what kind of impact it can leave on someone’s mind,” Amna shared.

“There was a time when I was also using fairness creams but then I realized this is not good. The thing that matters is healthy skin,” Amna revealed.

She shared her experience in the industry and said, “For instance, if I had to do a lawn campaign my makeup artists used to do two tones lighter makeup and then with the help of photoshop they used to make it more brighter. Sometimes when I used to see those photos I felt like that’s not me.”

Recently, in another interview, Adnan Siddiqui was specifically questioned about that one scene where Shahwar was seen telling Danish the truth about his wife. In response Danish narrated not only his pain upon Mehwish’s betrayal but also how he couldn’t do something wrong because his father kept reprimanding him in his dreams. One thing the audience noted here was how Shahwar too, had tears in his eyes listening to Danish.

Now, Adnan Siddiqui was specifically questioned about the scene, as to whether Shahwar too got misty eyed because he felt Danish’s pain or was it something else altogether.

In the interview, Adnan Siddiqui however shared, “I have a problem when it comes to stopping my tears. A lot of people did ask me if Shahwar felt bad for Danish and so had tears in his eyes. But no. The way Danish mentions his father, I’m sure Humayun thought of his deceased father too at that time, and this made me think about my own father, who used to advice me the same way. I did get emotional and there was this connection in that scene.”

Adding further, Adnan praised Humayun for his superb acting. “The smoothness and emotional way with which Humayun has played Danish, its remarkable. Hats off to him for such a superb role.”
