Project Ghazi is a much anticipated movie, since it is bringing forth a lot that is new and unusual for Pakistani films. This super hero movie boasts thematic backdrops, scientific thrill and military combat all in one.
The launch ceremony of its very well received trailer was held at the grand Merriot hotel, Karachi. It was a star studdied event with all three leads of the movie; Humyaun Saeed, Shehryar Munawwar and Syra Shehroz present to talk to the press, along with their producer and director.
Syra was beautiful in a minimalist black off the shoulder jump suit, loose hair and nude makeup. Talking excitedly about her movie, she said that she is playing the role of a female scientist, which is an uncommon character and that she is a very methodical, independent and no nonsense character in the film.
Shehryar Munawwar was the first actor on board when Project Ghazi started. He said that he really liked the script because the movie projects nationalism without spreading any of the hate or negativity that usually surrounds such concepts.
Humayun Saeed said he accepts a project when it gives him good vibes and project Ghazi certainly did so. He praised Shehryar Munawwar who has worked very hard in the movie and trained physically to appear the part that he is playing.
The producer Ali Reza, was very proud of his movie, “I am honoured to have worked with a team of extremely talented individuals who have given their all in the movie.”
Nadir H. Shah, the director also sounded very hopeful about Project Ghazi, “It’s a unique genre for Pakistan and could open doors to new and unexplored stories to reach audiences.”
Mawra and Urwa Hocane posted pictures earlier from Saba Hameed’s birthday party on Instagram and the three of them look absolutely stunning.
Saba Hameed, an evergreen star of the country who has contributed to the Pakistan drama and film industry in a best possible way, manages to stay beautiful and looking young. In her birthday celebration pictures, she looks adorable and so do her “sparrows” Urwa and Mawra who can be seen celebrating along.
Saba turned 60 today and we wish her a very happy birthday.
Pakistan’s popular and celebrated film star Resham has finally decided to get married in the coming year of 2018, and she has begun the preparations for it. Accordingly, her friends and family were constantly pushing the actress to take up the decision of marriage and settle down with a family of her own.
There have been sources who have disclosed anonymously that the mystery man is a business tycoon in Europe and that she will shift abroad once she has been married. Meanwhile the actress has timely set up her current projects so that she might complete them early and get time off before her marriage.
The famous diva also claimed to the press earlier in the year, that she does not yearn to make more money since she has earned enough from her work in the showbiz; her only wish is to still have her fame and respect intact within the audiences she has worked for for so many years.
She also expressed her thoughts on old actresses who still call themselves ‘heroines’ by laughingly stating the opinion that she finds it quite funny as well as embarrassing.
Yalghaar is on the verge of release. The film is Pakistan’s most expensive film till date and flaunts a stellar cast including Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Bilal Ashraf, Ayesha Omer, Armeena Rana Khan among others. The film is slated to release on Eid.
But everyone got suspicious when the lead star of the movie Shaan Shahid didn’t show up at the trailer launch. As far as things have progressed Shaan is keeping himself distant from the promotional events of his own film.
The tension arose more when he didn’t even show up at the premiere of the movie. An unknown injury was told to be the cause of his absentee from trailer launch and no explanation has been given for the premiere one.
Moreover director of the film Dr. Hassan Waqar Rana introduced every actor of his film on stage. And whom did he forget? Yes you guessed right! Shaan Shahid the lead actor. A reporter had to remind him of his slip about introducing the actor.
No one is commenting on anything as the film is about to release. We wish all goes well with Yalghaar.
Remembering Junaid Jamshed is one of the few things we will always do together as a nation, specially in Ramzan. He was a constant on TV for many years previously during this month and not having him around this time makes everyone want to listen to his lectures and naats and nasheeds. It is comforting to be able to hear to his legendary voice. which was his hallmark and his claim to fame in many ways throughout his life.
However, his voice is not the only one thing that will resonate all over the world, but his other legacy, his children are also determined to commemorate their father in every way possible. His older two sons have already started reciting his naats in their own unique voices, so similar, yet so different to their dad’s.
The first video is of Taimur Junaid Jamshed’s Tabeeb-U-Zaman. His voice and his persona will transport you to another era .. of fathers and sons, of Muslim legacy, of life in general that goes on, no matter how many of us depart our worldly abode. It is a bittersweet video, makes you remember a man who left us too early and introduces you to a son who has just started continuing the journey and has done very well despite the burden of high expectations he has on his shoulders.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zulRytfTLhs
This second video of his second son, Babur, who in Junaid Jamshed’s own words was his closest confidant and most attached child. He is reciting “mera dil badal day” in a voice that will remind you of Junaid Jamshed and his early years when he was finding his place in this world and his voice was raising him to heights that he was unaware ever existed.
Shahdab Khan, the man who has a greater role in the victory of Pakistan cricket team in the ICC champions trophy, talked about his confident move , which could have turned out to be devastating, had he not taken it carefully.
https://youtu.be/RPBCL2YJP5w
Upon asked how could an 18 year old take such an important decision with such confidence , given the fact that the team only had one review to take, he answered that he somehow knew that it was an out and the captain trusted him with his decision.
Shahdab has indeed proven that nothing can put a stop to your success if you give your best in order to survive the hardest of circumstances. Not even your age!
I remember when Pyaray Afzal went on-air, it was my first experience of listening to those dialogues which remain with you for a long period of time. The depth they had was something I wasn’t used to. The dramas I grew up watching had prime focus on their storylines and writers hardly used to bother about conveying thought provoking dialogues and most importantly philosophies. Then I came to know about the writer’s name and he built a great credibility in my mind. I used to wait for his dramas and they were always a must-watch for me! He is unique in his own way. We immediately guess the writer’s name by just listening to one or two dialogues. Whenever someone says words like ‘Kambakht’, ‘Kameena’, ‘Chalo Chalo’ or someone quotes another by saying ‘Wo keh raha/rahi hai’ instead of taking his or her name, you won’t even find the need to know who the writer is. I would like to discuss a few aspects of his writing some of which are my favorite and some are not.
Dialogues:
I without even any reasoning consider him the best when it comes to deep conversations. He no doubt knows how to stir depth in normal everyday conversations. From ‘Pyaray Afzal’ days I have been a fan of his dialogues in particular.
‘Pyaray Afzal’ having all the ingredients of philosophy in right proportion grabbed not only my attention but of a massive audience as well. I would like to share some gems as well,
‘Jaan se pyara tha wo, lekin jaan pyari nahin thi use’
‘Paida karne wali bnane wale se baat kar rahi hai, use pata hoga kay kese baat karni hai’
‘Bachpan se ek khuwab dekha tha, khuwab poora nahin hua to sharam kay mare ye bhi nai btaya kay dekha kya tha’
‘To Beta qismat aazmao, humen na azmao’
‘Sadqay Tumhare’ also had a lot of memorable dialogues, if my memory isn’t deceiving me Khalil once said to his Doctor friend,
‘Main use hath kese laga sakta tha? Main us waqt wuzu main nahin tha’
A very famous one of Shano:
‘Mohabbat main Ilhaam naa ho to fitay moo mohabbat ka’
Though I didn’t follow ‘Zara Yaad Kar’ regularly, I came across one such dialogue from Saba Faisal,
‘Tumhare Abba kaha karte the, Mohabbat ki ek se zyada daleel nahin hoti aur Bewafaai kay so se kam bahany nahin hoty, pehly lgta tha smjha rahe hyn, ab pata chala kay bata rahy the kay samjha dena’
It will be complete injustice not to admire his grip over conveying thoughts in such a beautiful manner. This is the thing that still makes me look forward to his new projects despite the slow pace his dramas usually have.
The Main Leads:
However, when it comes to the main leads, I am left scratching my head always. There’s a special kind of issue with most of KRQ’s heroines. I don’t understand whether they suffer from some sought of psychological disorder or Alzheimer’s disease. They have serious memory issues, like you’ll see them offering ‘nawafil’ for the hero one second and the next second they’ll be shown as someone who won’t even care if he dies. They will be shown completely engrossed in the thoughts of male leads. Their world revolves around them. Their every conversation starts with them and ends on them. I remember I never watched Farah doing anything else except discussing how worried Afzal’s parents must be and what would he be doing in Karachi? Her one after another visit to his home wo bhibahane bahane se. She would get jealous whenever someone showed interest in Afzal be it Lubna or Yasmin. Cutting it short, she would be showing all signs of love but will never admit it and when she does, it’s of no use because he is no more. I can’t understand the logic behind showing her arrogant to the core like she can’t simply admit the fact that she fell in love with someone less than her in status or maybe in education.
I just want the characters to have normal thinking process. They should be clear in their thoughts. How much time it takes to listen to your heart? Contrary to this, ‘Yeh Raha Dil’ has Hayaat who knows ‘What she wants and what she doesn’t’. What a person she is! I think my words won’t do justice to the role she is assigned and how brilliantly the character is written. If one asks me if not Farah how should a heroine be like? My answer will be none other than ‘Hayaat’. I won’t prefer someone who takes 30+ episodes to realize what she wants from her life. Who can’t even figure out how the love of her should be. In a country like ours where one takes a second to fall in love with someone, we have Farah who’ll die discussing Afzal with everyone around her but won’t discuss the fact that why is she discussing him in the first place if she is that much uninterested in him?
‘Maheen Aurangzeb’ in MTSNH is the uglier version of ‘Farah Ibrahim’, showing extreme hate for hero without any reason, I know he once slapped her but was that such a big deal that an entire drama will be dedicated to the hate based on that slap? You simply ignore the person you don’t like but here the case is opposite. It looks like she is trying to draw everyone’s attention towards them or she wants everyone to discuss all the time that ‘O look how much Maheen hates Waqar?’ You should be able to convey your hate in a dignified manner.
Now coming to Haadi of ‘Zara Yaad Kar’, he was his own example and Mahnoor was busy giving a tough competition to him in all departments of insanity. One who knew nothing except how to exploit and the other knew nothing except how to get exploited. They both were the mirror images of each other and I just couldn’t relate to them. Everyone was a philosopher in that drama. Limit was the word unknown to them. Why his characters take so long to realize a basic thing, which could be sensed even by a child? Farah couldn’t realize the love, Haadi couldn’t realize how he was exploited at Mahnoor’s hands and Mahnoor couldn’t realize how mean she was! These all things can be realized within a second by a normal sane person, don’t know how slow their realization hormones work. They take a whole drama to hit the right place in the brain. Uff!
The contradiction in their words is very much there too. In ‘Sadqay Tumare’ Khalil said to Shano’s father that he can do anything but run away with Shano. Later he did the same which he refused to do at first. I think one should remain steady no matter how the situation unfolds.
The Side Characters:
Second thing that bothers me the most, the world of the female lead revolves around the hero though she won’t admit it because shokhabhitohonahai, and the world of the entire cast revolves around their love-story. It feels like everyone is trying too hard to push her towards the hero as if deep down they all know how she is dying inside for him. The world knows about their love for each other except the people who are supposed to be in love. Matlab what? All of their efforts are for the love birds and they least bother about their own life. It looks forced like everybody is paid to promote them and talk about them. The way they say ‘Wokehtihai’ ‘Uskakehnahai’ is irritating to the core. I know it’s his writing style and it’s completely fine to come up with a unique one but I don’t know why it annoys me. I think he should show a chotimoti love story of the side characters as well just to keep them busy somewhere. Otherwise they look like paid actors who are hired to give a fake protocol to the leads just to keep the interest of viewers alive in them. Mohabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai is the latest example of how ‘farigh’ the supporting cast is. They have nothing to do except gossiping about the leads. I started watching MTSNH and it couldn’t keep my interest alive. In Pyaray Afzal every supporting actor was busy discussing the interest level of Farah and all their efforts were dedicated to them. I just have one advice for all of them ‘Find a job please!’.
Pace of The Story:
Now coming to the pace of the stories, everybody knows that his stories most of the times move at a snail’s pace but I don’t mind it either. I am a patient viewer as long as it has something thought provoking and enjoyable to offer. I enjoy his deep dialogues as well like I mentioned above but the viewers who are unlike me find it hard to be patient throughout the drama. It’s not irritating for me at least because I enjoyed ‘Pyaray Afzal’ because of the dialogues and acting. No doubt it had a slow pace and had few developments per episode but that still held my attention. Not sure about the remaining audience. But speaking in general, as the story progresses, audience wants serious developments in the story department and in the characters as well. Farah’s realization about her love for Afzal took 30+ episodes and at the end all of a sudden, she got realized ‘Oh I used to love him from the very beginning’. That’s what bothers me. It would be great if she was shown liking him gradually as she discovered some of his hidden and likable personality traits. Throughout the drama we saw her cursing him for no good reason. Just because he sent his parents to her home to ask for her hand, she considered it her duty to curse him whenever she got a chance while we could see deep down he was the center of her universe. The irony!
Forced Situations:
I sometimes find the situations a bit forced. Sadqay Tumhare had a very promising beginning but the sudden love interest of Humaira in Khalil looked so forced. This scenario could be easily skipped. The unnecessary dragging at the end of every drama is annoying and leaves a bad impression after the drama ends. Pyaray Afzal was also the victim of same thing. The last few episodes were fillers and I found myself losing interest in it. Zara Yaad Kar too had forced scenarios and they were great in number. When we are already waiting for the drama to be summed-up, the writer comes up with another forced situation and that’s not pleasing. The drama that takes a great start should be ended with dignity.
So, these were the few likable and few not-so-likable aspects of KRQ’s writings for me. Do share your thoughts please!
Pakistani cricketers has just made the whole country happy with their performances. But apart from being the regular men in green they have their family lives too. Let us take a look at the pictures of few Pakistani cricketers and their wives:
Earlier in his interview with Kamran Shahid , Rishi Kapoor talked about his tweets and how they were misconstrued. Thanking the Pakistani nation for their love and support, he told Kamran that he loves both the country but his support for India, being an Indian is inevitable.
He maintained that people misinterpreted his tweets. Whatever he tweeted was the reply of negative comments made on the Indian team in the first place. He pleaded people from both sides to be positive and not to take the game to a personal level. He moreover, said that politics should be kept away from these games. He also congratulated Pakistan cricket team on outperforming the Indian team in all departments.
He further shed light on the fact that he had been a staunch supporter of the fact that cricket should be brought back in Pakistan and about the inclusion of Pakistani players in IPL as well. His message to both the nations was to make peace and to stay positive.
Ohkay so, to be honest even though the pace of this drama has slowed down considerably, I still have a good time watching it because it somehow matches the mood of the story & its characters. I like how detailed things are because even though there hasn’t been much background given to some of the characters, the slow pace helps us in understanding them a bit better. I like the fact that every episode of Alif Allah Aur Insaan brings something new with it, which makes it an interesting watch.
So, finally Rani got to share her concerns with Shammi, I loved how the roles have been reversed, when Rani was a beggar & Shammi was just aimlessly wasting his life, Rani had a lot of confidence & she had this clarity where she knew what she wanted from her life & back then Shammi was scared to face the world but now we can see how the tables have turned. Right now, Shammi has obtained this confidence which has given him a completely different perspective of life, he has this belief in himself that he can do whatever he wants & Rani is vulnerable, now she is scared, for the first time Rani is at such a point in her life where she is ambiguous & uncertain. That is the reason why Shammi’s entry in Rani’s life back has given her some sort of ease because at least there is someone who knows who she was & where she comes from. Rani was busy forming a new identity & in the middle of that, she lost herself but it was good to see Shammi reminding her who she was & what her beliefs were. I felt so bad for Rani when she desperately asked Shammi to inquire about her family, like she said, she didn’t value her family before & now that she has been told that there’s no turning back, they’re all she can think of. I loved how in this episode Rani’s desperation & depression was showcased, like in every single frame you could see the spark that was missing from her eyes & the fear that has imbibed her heart & soul as she is lost & has no idea if she’ll ever be able to get out of this prison around her that she chose for herself.
Even though I am not into Nazneen’s character & her & Basit’s track but for the first time I felt I actually understood her situation & reactions. Nazneen is only doing what is in sync with her nature & character, she is someone who can’t take no for an answer & she is someone who would make sure to get what she wants, that is why she is persistently bothering Basit, while completely ignoring his point of view & his hesitations. Nazneen was introduced to us exactly this way that she is a spoiled rich girl who only wants everyone to obey her orders, that is why even though her approach towards Basit is wrong, but it is in line with her character. Nazneen is someone who has never learned what it is like to give someone else a chance to explain their position or reasons, that is why even though Basit has told her a lot of times that she should be mindful of the difference between them, she chooses not to pay heed to it.
Looks like Basit has started taking interest in Nazneen too but it is good that at least he is conscious of the fact that she is engaged to be married to Shahzeb, who according to Basit is better than him in every respect. I found it kind of realistic when Basit accepted the Eid gift that Nazneen brought for him, like even though he knows that he has to reject & refuse everything that she says & expects from him, but he couldn’t bring himself to refuse her gift, which she bought for him after putting a lot of thought into it. I liked the scene where Basit while sitting in his home was being constantly reminded of the difference between him & Nazneen & also of the fact that she is engaged to the finest gentleman. What added more to his woes was his sister’s mention of the Sadqa that Shahzeb’s mother Zaitoon gave to her. I kind of liked seeing the battle that was going on between Basit’s mind & heart, where at one hand he gets pulled towards Nazneen & on the other, he is constantly reminded of their differences & the difficulties that he will have to face if he consciously falls in love with her!
So, Nigaar got introduced to the producer who offered her a role in a feature film. I think that track was added only to show that Shammi started frequenting Nigar’s place & he was getting more chances to see Rani. Even though Nigar can see that Rani is not feeling herself & she has lost the happiness that she had when she joined this work, but then the way Nigar is behaving is once again in line with her character, because it shows that Nigar wasn’t in need of Rani in the first place, it was Rani who herself offered her services to Nigar, that is the reason why Nigar doesn’t see her as someone so important who she should be treating courteously. It was heartrending how Nigar was constantly reminding Rani of her background & where she came from, that is Nigar’s way of showcasing her superiority over everyone who is a part of her small world.
I think in stead of sugarcoating things & in stead of putting a lid on the reality, Zaitoon should allow Shahzeb to wake up & smell the coffee because even before him, she was the one who felt something off about Nazneen’s behavior towards her son & their engagement, so there is no need to make him look away from the real picture. Shahzeb finally & rightly noticed that Nazneen is not happy with their betrothment but Zaitoon tried to change his perspective, yes it is understandable that she wants to save her son from a heartbreak as she knows what Nazneen means to him but then, being realistic wouldn’t harm him & in fact it would save Shahzeb from further getting hurt.
Overall, this episode was beautifully executed & presented, I enjoyed watching it. I must say Ushna Shah continues to surprise me with her phenomenal performance, like just by looking at Rani one could see that her heart & soul wasn’t happy & her longing to be in this place was deteriorating, which is something that was perfectly portrayed by Ushna Shah. She really has made Rani’s character & I don’t think any other actress could’ve done justice to this role. Imran Ashraf was equally amazing as Shammi in this episode as well. I loved watching Rani & Shammi’s interactions, like those were my favorite bits of this episode. I am actually enjoying Shehzad sheikh‘s acting too, he really has given Basit’s character a perfect treatment. I wish I could say that about both Kubra & Mikaal but they are just doing ok. Sana Fakhar is quite convincing as Nigar Begum so far. Definitely looking forward to the next episode. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Alif Allah Aur Insaan.
The holy month of Ramadan is here and as Muslims we are supposed to seek forgiveness from our Creator, read Quran whole heartedly and of course one should be grateful to the blessings from Allah Almighty in this sacred month. Ramadan is the most precious month in the Islamic calendar (Hijri) and it is obligatory for the Muslims to fast in this month. Muslims fast as an act of worship, a chance to get closer to Allah and a way to become more tender-hearted to those who are in need. Fasting is also seen as a way to learn patience and break bad habits. The important stance is to fulfill the responsibility of being a Muslim by paying back the necessities of Ramadan, to show Taqwa that is required during the fast and to pray Taraveh with great devotion. But what is the hindrance on the path of attaining the religious values?
One of the considerable reasons is the seasonal treat that we get in the form of Ramadan transmissions on our very familiar TV channels. Apparently, the purpose of these transmissions is to promote the teachings of Islam along with the blessings in Ramadan, but actuality is wholly different and incompatible. What we usually notice is a rat race for getting maximum ratings on the transmissions. These ratings reach topmost as it grabs the focus of public attention in the form of vulgarity, ups and downs and much stardom. The thing that catches the eyes of the audience is typically the free stuffs given by the hosts of the show and the way audience behaves like hooligans to grab it just for the sake of at least being at the show leaves a very bad impact on the ones watching at home. Spreading hands in front of the host simply to get freebies either for their children or husbands or brother; worth more than the self –respect! Is this about advertising the activities of Muslims after they break the fast or during Suhr? To forget the moral and religious values in the layout of such tasteless and exaggerated transmissions is worth watching? At the last minute of Aftar, it is likely considered that the family members sit around and ask for forgiveness, The Prophet ﷺ said, “When the fasting person breaks his fast, his supplication is not turned back.” Indeed Allah (SWT) grants the person with the blessings at this delicate time of the day as Muslims are prevented to eat or drink although sitting at the dining. But we turn on the TV channels waiting for Ramadan transmissions to end when immediately appears advertisements with vulgarity and avoidable loud music that fills the house with ruffle meanwhile the Azan from the masjid is heard as well.
We all have watched ‘Tom and Jerry’ cartoons in childhood and entertained us quite a lot. Now such entertainment is available for the adults as well on the Sahir Lodhi Ramadan Transmission, Ishq-e-ramazan, aired on TV One. He has introduced a new game segment in the show, pakro aur bike ley jao, where he is acting like jerry and the girls participating are all replacing tom. What has happened to the parents of such girls who willingly push them and teach them to beg in front of the host for the sake of only a bike? The audience now and back then when compared brings a great difference, today’s public is becoming uncivilized, dishearten, dispirit and profane. On one side the so- called Muslims are busy praising celebrities who are seen acting, singing or dramatizing the whole year and now hosting Ramadan Transmissions, simulating as very religious whereas on the other hand a few Muslims are praying Taraveh at the mosque and seeking forgiveness from Allah while availing the blessings of the Holy Month.
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) issued a statement to TV channels to follow a set of guidelines for all Ramadan transmissions. The statements reads, TV channels should be careful with the subject matter aired, sensitive issues like sectarian differences and violence should be avoided. The PEMRA notice mentions that no orphaned children are to be handed away to audience members on any TV show. Dancing, singing and exercising have been prohibited as is the tossing of presents to audiences. No vulgar language, topic or subject matter should be discussed, and people who lack knowledge of religion should not be asked to appear as guests on shows preaching to the public. Viewing these statements, it is disappointing that no TV channel follows this layout in fact, are arranging opposite segments in their shows simply to get maximum ratings from the audience as possible.
Here the question arises, is Ramadan only about competing for ratings? Expectations for Ramadan transmissions are not being met as it has to be and if these immoral acts are not ceased then I am afraid our Muslim world is headed towards great fall. It is considered highly unethical to humiliate common people in such shows, like does Fahad Musafa in Jeeto Pakistan, speaking ill with some people as ‘abay’, ‘tu’, ‘chal’, ‘moti moti taazi taazi auntiyaan’, weighs them in, makes fun of their weight and then compensates with a free bike or a bike ride. Is this what Islam teaches to disrespect woman or embarrass a lower person in front of thousands? It is despairing when the audience laughs and appreciates such jokes and acts of the celebrities. So instead of laughing at their lack of manners and railing against these offensive displays why not use the power of the remote?
The real question raised by all of these incidents is why can’t channels think of more creative ways of programming than just game shows? How about opening up discussions on tolerance and learning how to deal with religious issues without extreme responses? This Ramadan can present the right time to open up discussions about moderation, appeasement and respectful dialogue by engaging with actual religious scholars. Such game shows and the begging of audience is not only dragging us into swamp of downfall but also leading us back into the shadows.
“And if Allah were to punish men for that which they earned, He would not leave a moving (living) creature on the surface of the earth, but He gives them respite to an appointed term, and when their term comes, then verily, Allah is Ever All Seer of His slaves.” (Fatir 35:45)

Huma Qureshi has been a part of the Bollywood cinema for the past five years. After her blockbuster Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012, she was finally given her celebrated stardom. Her other famous movies include D-Day and more recently, Jolly LLB 2.
It s never a piece of cake to earn your name in this appraised circle and for Huma Qureshi it was no different. It was a constant struggle and her initial days were filled with rejection and unacceptable conditions set forth for any work she wanted to uptake.
“I was asked to change my name when I was offered my first project. I was told there was a Pakistani actor with the same name and that I wouldn’t want that association, more so since I wanted to be the leading lady in the film. I was like, ‘I am not going to do that. I will always be Huma Qureshi and people will have to deal with that’,” – The Hindustan Times.
The actress related further obstacles and hitches that came along her journey to fame such as consistent dismissals, taking in inappropriate comments, unwanted criticism and the hectic routines of giving auditions one after another.
The actress also harbors Hollywood dreams and even auditioned for the third part of The Mummy franchise last year. “Hopefully. I’m waiting for the right film and right script to come along.” , she said if asked if she would head to West.
The star will be next seen alongside superstar Rajinikanth in a film directed by Pa Ranjith.
What are your thoughts on this news? Do you think the Bollywood filmmakers are simply too patriotic and biased or could this be an exaggeration? Let us know!
Many new drama serials are coming our way and quite a few of them have a star-studded cast. A star-studded cast however does not ensure that a drama serial will provide quality entertainment. Even the names of the highly recognized writers nowadays are not a guarantee that a script will come up to the expectations of the viewers. The fact however is that although most of us have lost our faith in star-studded dramas but even then the fan following of these stars is so massive that people tune into their dramas every time in the hope that they will deliver and there are definitely instances when these dramas don’t disappoint the viewers.
Here are a few star-studded dramas coming to our television screens very soon. We have high hopes from some of these dramas and at the same time we are not very sure how few of them will turn out to be but we will be tuning into almost all of them.
Shadi Mubarak
Writer: Yasir Hussain
Director: Wajahat Rauf
Produced By: Wajahat Rauf
Channel: ARY Digital
Cast: Kubra Khan, Yasir Hussain, Bushra Ansari Salman Shahid, Sadia Faisal, Abdullah Farhatullah & others.
Shadi Mubarak is going to be a light comedy serial which marks the comeback of Wajahat Rauf on television as a director. He shifted his interest towards films for a while but now is very excited about this project for television. The promos of the drama serial and the BTS pictures suggest that the cast had a lot of fun shooting this serial. Kubra Khan will be seen doing comedy for a change and we are well aware of the fact that Bushra Ansari is the queen of comedy. Although this drama gives the baraat series vibes but the director Wajahat Rauf claimed that it will be different from all those comedy serials seen previously on television which revolved around the theme of shadi.
O Rangreza
Writer: Saji Gul
Director: Kashif Nisar
Produced By: Moomal Entertainment
Channel: Hum TV
Cast: Sajal Ali, Bilal Abbas Khan, Noman Ijaz, Irsa Ghazal, Sana Fakhar, Hamza Firdous, Sonia Mishal etc.
By the looks of it, O Rangreza seems to be a love story, even though not much has been given away by the team but the pictures and the BTS shots give us an idea of what to expect from it. O Rangreza not only has an amazing cast associated with it but the pictures that have surfaced on the social media show that it is going to showcase a life of deeply rooted people leading a simple life where the main male character is going to be a ‘dyer’ by profession, hence the name. The chemistry of Sajal Ali and Bilal Abbas surely looks interesting and they already made a great pair. Vibrant and ethnic backdrops surely make this drama look like an art piece and we already have high expectations from it. The drama is scheduled to go on-air after Eid.
Teri Raza
Writer: Naila Ansari
Director: Abis Raza
Produced By: Big Bang Productions
Channel: ARY Digital
Cast: Sanam Baloch, Surmed Sultan Khoosat, Shehroz Sabzwari etc.
Sanam Baloch has to be one such actress who is loved by all the drama buffs because of her phenomenal acting skills and beautiful personality and this is exactly the reason why her upcoming drama ‘Teri Raza’ has made such a buzz. After Kankar, this project is going to be considered as Sanam Baloch’s come back to the small screen, however she did appear in a Telefilm Ek Thi Mariam last year. The promos suggest it is going to be a love story revolving around a love triangle which will be quite intense and will include a lot of drama. Sanam’s character looks of a girl who is carefree and full of life. The promos and the BTS shots of the drama have definitely given us a taste of what this drama is going to be like and with Sanam Baloch’s association with it, we are not only looking forward to it but expecting a lot from it as well.
Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua
Writer: Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar
Director: Shahid Shafat
Produced By: Next Level Entertainment
Channel: Hum TV
Cast: Ayeza Khan, Zahid Ahmed, Sami Khan, Masha Pasha, Noor Khan, Rehan Sheikh
Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua comes with a big warning! It has a star-studded cast without a doubt but the writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has given two serials back to back which were complete disappointments. Zahid Ahmed will be playing the role of a criminal in the play and the promos suggest that Ayeza Khan’s character Maya will fall in love with him. Zahid Ahmed has some incredible performances to his credit in the recent past but Ayeza Khan hasn’t starred in a single quality drama since her comeback therefore we have mixed feelings about this play. The promos of the play also suggest that it is going to be a story of complicated relationships. Let’s see if third time is the charm for Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and Ayeza Khan both!
Daldal
Writer:
Director: Siraj ul Haq
Produced By: Momina Duraid Productions
Channel: Hum TV
Cast: Abid Ali, Asma Abbas, Zahid Ahmed, Amreena Rana Khan, Muneeb Butt etc.
The popularity of Udaari has opened new boundaries for the drama-makers where they are now exploring different social issues and are working hard to bring them on screen to educate people more about them and for the exact same reason Daldal is going to come into the spotlight. Daldal is going to be the story of two brothers belonging to the lower social spectrum of the society, one of whom is very ambitious and because he will decide to make a living outside Pakistan, all the trials and tribulations faced by such ambitious men will be highlighted in this drama. Abid Ali and Zahid Ahmed surely are the factors that are going to draw the attention of the audience and we are also looking forward to this drama. The BTS shots of this drama also promise aesthetics and visual attention to detail. This drama is also scheduled to go on-air after Eid.
Baaghi
Written by: Shazia Khan
Screenplay: Umera Ahmed
Director: Farooq Rind
Producer: Nina Kashif
Channel: Urdu1
Cast: Saba Qamar, Osman Khalid Butt, Sarmad Khoosat, Laila Zuberi, Khalid Malik & others.
Baaghi is a biopic based on the life of Qandeel Baloch. Although the makers of the drama have assured their viewers that the drama serial isn’t going to glorify Qandeel Baloch but a lot of people have reservations about it. This drama serial is already being promoted more than any other upcoming play and the fact that it is controversial is also helping the producers in marketing it. Umera Ahmed is a big name in the television industry therefore it is going to be one of the main reasons why people will tune into this drama. Also, Saba Qamar and Osman Khalid Butt who have massive fan following will be seen together on screen for the first time. This is another aspect of the drama which is being marketed the most. The drama boasts of a star cast and crew both and it has definitely grabbed the attention of many also because of Qandeel Baloch’s name attached to it.
Yaar e Bewafa:
Writer: Mohsin Ali
Director: Zeeshan Ali
Produced By: Wajahat Rauf
Channel: Geo Entertainment
Cast: Samina Ahmed, Imran Abbas, Sara Khan, Arij Fatyma, Saleem Mairaj etc.
The association of Imran Abbas’s name with any project is enough of a reason for the drama buffs to look forward to the drama and this is exactly the case with Yaar e Bewafa. The fact that Sara Khan is also a part of this drama makes us a bit more excited because lately Sara Khan’s drama choices have been great. Going by the pictures and BTS shots that have surfaced on the social media, it does look like a story that is going to revolve around a love triangle but we are definitely expecting some magic here because the overall treatment of the drama looks quite promising and exciting. Even though Imran Abbas’s current drama Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai hasn’t turned out to be great, we hope this drama pleases his fans and all those drama viewers who will be tuning to Yaar e Bewafa because of him. Yaar e Bewafa will go on-air after Eid as well.
Which one of these dramas are you looking forward to the most and why? Please do share your thoughts about all these upcoming plays. We would love to hear from you.
Adnan Sami , a former Pakistan national asked the nation to get over the ICC Champions trophy win against India and take the match as a game only. While his tweet got massive support from India, the Pakistanis, however found it outrageous and stormed at him for his tweet.
Meanwhile, some compared his statement about getting over the game with getting over his entire music career
Adnan Sami’s suggestion about “getting over” the match might be appreciated by the Indians but the response he got from Pakistan will definitely make him think twice before tweeting anything like that again.
Torn between her Susral and Maika, our bhabi jee chose a rather diplomatic response to settle the matter. In her tweet after the ICC final , Sania Malik said that both the countries should celebrate because both of them have won. India lost the cricket match but won the hockey match at the same time.Their wins should be equally celebrated.
<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>?? lost the cricket but won in hockey against ?? Pakistan, outperforming Indians in all the departments, does not , however, owe much to our bhabi’s hubby who just scored 12 runs. The couple still manged to find solace : Shoaib Malik in pakistan’s victory in cricket and Sania in the hockey match. Good going guys!

It was a festive occasion as Sarfraz returned to his hometown, Karachi on Tuesday, carrying the ICC Champions Trophy.
Adults and children in hundreds were awaiting the captain at the airport and ambushed him there with congratulatory hugs, flower necklaces as well as an ajrak and the police band march playing patriotic songs. Sarfraz held up the trophy for the crowd to see as they ranted themselves hoarse to cheers of ‘Long Live Sarfraz!’ and whooped cheerfully.
Wasim Akhtar, Mayor Karachi and Muhammad Zubair, the Governer of Sindh were also present at the airport to receive, offer their personal congratulations to Sarfraz and to escort him to his house.
The view became even more iconic as Sarfraz came home where his residential block was filled with people crowding the street outside his house or climbed the roofs of neighboring houses to cheer on and catch a glimpse of their cricket hero.
Sarfraz walked up to the balcony of his home and waved modestly to his supporters while holding the trophy, as well as taking a selfie with the crowd.
While giving a statement to the press, Sarfraz thanked the fans for their grand reception.
“I want to thank all the fans who came here and gave me and Rumman amazing welcome in Karachi and to other players in Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar which will be unforgettable.”

In Lahore, four players Hasan Ali, Babar Azam, Fahim Ashraf and Ahmed Shehzad, arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, where they were heartily welcomed by the provincial ministers Mian Mujtaba Shujaa-ur-Rehman, Raza Ali Gilani, Jehangir Khanzad and Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, as well as a huge number of the cricket fans.
This is certainly an exciting prospect for Pakistanis everywhere and a huge celebratory cause after so many years. We all are enormously proud of the green team for bringing the country and its citizens such a great honor.
India Pakistan cricket rivalry is so world famous that it has become a phenomenon in itself. Wikipedia has one of the longest pages dedicated to it. While being on the losing side brings extreme humiliation and bucketfuls of anday tamatar, winning brings with it a tremendous amount of appreciation which is almost godly in its intensity. Today, however we are lucky to talk about the latter only.
The mauka mauka campaign was started in 2015, when India made an ad to mock Pakistan, pointing out that Pakistan had lost last six matches played against India. These words then became an entity of their own to taunt the losing team meaning that they lost their mauka or chance for winning, and will spend ages looking for the next mauka now.
After hearing our share of the very iconic mauka mauka for a long time, Pakistan finally had the sweet taste of a well deserved victory, beating India fair and square by 180 solid runs.
Hooray ???
Today our day has come.. our era has begun and Pakistani cricket fans have swarmed the team captain Sarfraz’s house and pulled him into their spirits of singing mauka mauka with them.. and as we all know, Sarfraz dhoka nai day ha, so he sings alongwith his fans because this is his mauka, so why not ??
You wouldn’t catch Adnan Siddiqui being less than perfect in any role he plays. Now the phenomenonal actor is coming to silver screen in July with MOM alongside Sri Devi and Sajal Ali.
Talking about his role in the movie , the veteran actor said that he will playing Sajal Ali’s father; a soft spoken and sophisticated man. He said that the movie is all about the many trials and tribulations this family has to go through and how their relationships are affected by them.
He has been playing titular roles in dramas here, so playing one in a movie mainly with female protagonists is not unusual for him. He elaborated further that he believes a character is bigger than the actor himself, so if he is offered a project that looks interesting to him, he goes for it, without giving much thought to the authority it holds in that particular setting.
When asked about his own personal and professional expectations out of the movie, this is how he reflected upon it ;
“I’ve always maintained and will still say, you get the best in life when you’re least expecting it. But yet, everybody, including Sajal and I have given our best to this movie, more than our hundred percent, with this driving force to make it succeed and I believe the passion with which the entire team has worked, wouldn’t go waste. Also its an individual’s wisdom through which they perceive God, and bearing that in mind, whatever we see and have perceived, the film will do good.
The history of Pakistani drama is as old as our first television channel PTV, which was founded in 1964. Since, at that time PTV was the only television channel, it had a huge responsibility on its shoulder to telecast both news and entertainment programs. Fortunately, the channel has fulfilled its duty most efficiently. It has served as a wholesome platform for different types of programs starting from dramas, telefilms, talk shows, news to cartoons and other children programs. This was the time when television was honest, humble and classy. Particularly, if we talk about Pakistani dramas, it has proved its worth even in limited resources and have broadcast few masterpieces that are remembered by generations and have earned global recognition.
Then it came the time when our television started to get more business oriented and commercialized resulting in end of PTV monopoly. Different channels were introduced to our television for transmission of news and entertainment programs. With the passage of time some more channels came to life as a subdivision of existing ones. For example, channels, exclusively for sports, music, food, drama etc. This has highly benefitted the audience since viewers can be more selective in watching the programs of their choice.
Commercialization has also brought the economic prosperity to television. Channels are now earning through advertisements and paid programing. In return it has also given advantage to the people working for them. Growing number of channels have not only increased the number of opportunities for artists but have also given them financial security. They can now earn more through television in comparison to past. However, increasing number of channels have also affected the quality of work produced. Since, greater number of programs are now required to nourish the channels, some ordinary programs of unnecessary formats are also broadcast. In my opinion, this unfavorable effect of commercialization is unavoidable. Since, quality can only be maintained with restricted production of quantity and today huge number of channels cannot abstain from the quantity of work produced.
One of the product of commercialization is establishment of production houses that have brought financial stability to our media resulting in improving the quality of programs. It has also made our programs more technically equipped, glamorous and stylish. We can now also see programs that are shot on beautiful foreign locations. Collaboration with foreign artists and channels have also been made possible in this process. Currently, the production houses are not only supporting our television but also playing an important role in re-establishing our film industry.
On the other hand, commercialization has subsequently resulted in increased competition to get ratings, now media must look for some spicy gossips and should produce programs of controversial formats to get more viewership. Therefore, our contemporary television programs are different from the ones produced previously. Channels are in the battle of gaining TRPs (Television Rating Points) and can reach to any extent to gain them. Morning shows and Ramzan transmissions are the good examples to validate this argument. These programs are stylish and majestic but mostly confrontational. Whereas, the programs that have been produced in old times were more simple, realistic and ethical.
It is said that television is the reflection of one’s society, we cannot deny the fact that the output of our television is in accordance to the demand of society. Today people want to see dazzling programs and fiery talk shows. Therefore, there is no choice but to produce the content which is in demand so that it can be widely watched to meet the challenges of competition and ratings. However, even today there is a niche of audience who still recall some Pakistani dramas and shows which had been broadcast during the time of PTV. Those programs were purely based on the formula of entertainment and public awareness but that idea cannot be implicated today on television. Presently, the layout of our programs has evolved from genuine to debatable ones. In my opinion, there are two major reasons for this change. First is the cumulative challenges of competition and TRP. Secondly, the audience is now more inclined to watch programs that are more glittery and materialistic. Thus, the objective of our television shows has been transformed. However, the first reason mentioned is avoidable and would result in accommodating more creditable shows.
Today, our television is one of those media which is commercially established and prospering. Though, a little effort can be made to produce content that is more conversant. Channels should exhibit more responsibility while broadcasting programs. They should enforce self-regulatory mechanism to minimize the facets of commercialization.
Pakistan’s first super hero movie Project Ghazi will release on 14th July 2017. The film stars Shehryar Munawar Siddiqui, Syra Shehroze and Humayun Saeed in lead roles whereas Adnan Jaffar plays the antagonist. We are already floored by the looks of the cast.

A new genre will be introduced in Pakistan film industry with the release of Project Ghazi. The movie looks packed with action and technology. We hope the film performs well and scores big at the box office.
Yes you heard it right! Marina Khan the maestro is making her film debut soon. The star has always ruled the hearts of her fans from Dhoop Kinaray to Jackson Heights.
The actress will be making her film debut in Na Maloom Afrad 2. Director Nabeel Qureshi didn’t disclose much about her character other than that she will be playing Hania Amir’s mother in the film.
“Marina Khan is making her silver screen debut with Na Maloom Afraad 2 and she has already shot her scenes in the film.” Nabeel said, he further went on and praised her:”It has been a great pleasure working with her.”
Shoaib Akhtar replies to Indians with as much of sensibility as one could muster and the Indians are all praises for the humbleness he portrayed in a live show. Advising Indians to keep a cool head and not to fret over the lost match, Shoaib Akhtar also asked them not to take anyone lightly or talk ill of them beforehand.
” I congratulate the Indian team for qualifying the finals. It is a great achievement that India qualified and there is no need to talk ill of them. As a Pakistani, I request you to pat your team instead of cursing them”
Shoaib Akhtar’s reply is an epitome of sensibility and humbleness. Through his humble words, he gave a huge message to all, a message that emphasized the fact that winning or losing does not matter but what does matter is how you act in the circumstances afterwards.
Here is what Shoaib Akhtar said in his interview to an Indian channel , in a live show along with the famous former cricket player Gutam Ghambir.
It has been a very lucky day for us Pakistani. Watching the players fighting the battle hard on the ground and then finally reaching out for the trophy, makes you proud of the team.A great success it has been that answered all the questions raised against our worthy players and by that , I mean literally all the questions even those raised against them not understanding English.
Hassan Ali ,a man who played tremendously well throughout the tournament ,did not at any point, find shame in accepting the fact that he had weak English. Taking an interpreter along with him and speaking in his own language , he gave the message that pure talent is all you need to get you through, making us all proud!
Ohkay so, this episode belonged to the Local DJ & honestly speaking, when he was in the scene, I didn’t concentrate on anything else because I was busy enjoying his lousy singing & I was busy laughing my heart out. I swear, after Zaki Hayat chemistry, this DJ is the best thing that has happened to Yeh Raha Dil & I wish he makes an appearance again when someone else in this drama gets engaged or married.
So, the episode started off with Hayat making sure that everything in Nida’s engagement ceremony was perfect, she allotted a lot of work to Jimmy & also her friend Sidra. I enjoyed the way Jimmy complimented Fatima time & again & she gracefully accepted it because she knew she was looking gorgeous. I actually felt that may be Salman Peerzada couldn’t be on the shoots, that is why they suddenly removed his character from the scene but I was pleasantly surprised when Nida received his phone call. That was one beautiful scene which completed everything, like a father who couldn’t be there was told that he was being missed & even the father took the opportunity to make his girls feel special by complimenting them & giving them his prayers. It was such a sweet scene which I absolutely loved. I also liked seeing Nida & Hayat in one frame acting like typical sisters who were cutting each other off because they were excited to speak to their father, that entire scene was done so effortlessly yet it had so much of the beautiful emotion which father & daughter share that it just made it perfect.
Hassan showed up too & Sidra & Zaki got to have a conversation about everything that Hayat had been lying about. Zaki finally got the confirmation from Sidra that Hayat loves him too but she is too afraid to admit as she doesn’t want to ruin Nida’s life. It was interesting how Zaki once again decided to have a final conversation with Hayat to know what was in her heart. That was another beautiful scene because finally Hayat confessed but she only did to further convince Zaki that he shouldn’t leave Nida only for the sake of Hayat & the love that he has for her. Zaki decided to do what everyone expected from him & finally exchanged the rings with Nida. I thought Zaki will finally come clean in front of everyone but he didn’t & in fact he chose to put Hayat in an awkward position, it showed that Zaki has only gotten engaged to Nida because of Hayat but now he will try to throw every curve-ball at her to get back at her, more like telling her to pay the price for the sake of her sister’s happiness. That confession scene was quite beautiful & I am glad that such an intense scene came after the viewers got their fair share of laughter because of the local DJ.
Now coming to my favorite part of this entire episode, DJ & his take on different songs, my goodness, who would’ve thought that Abbi Khalil of Yakeen Ka Safar could turn into Local DJ in Yeh Raha Dil to make us all laugh out loud. I loved how for a good chunk of episode he was the center of attention & everyone was getting bothered by him. Haroon had an issue with his wrong lyrics, he even believed that Mirza Ghalib would’ve murdered the DJ. Even Fatima was unhappy while Jimmy was dancing to his tunes. Hassan was finding it hard to talk to Hayat because he was getting annoyed by the noise pollution that the DJ spread, my goodness, I seriously enjoyed that entire part so much & for the first few seconds of his performance I was about to spill the water that I just drank because he was hilarious but then I made sure I didn’t drink anything till he was in the picture because I knew what could happen. From his dressing to his dance, to his singing, each & everything was simply perfect!
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode of Yeh Raha Dil & the credit definitely goes to Ehtashamuddin, because when the episode began I was finding it a bit slow but he just changed the entire mood & because of him I literally enjoyed every single second of this episode till it ended. I think Ehtashamuddin deserves a special thanks for this phenomenal guest appearance, so, thank you so much! Well, I must say everyone was looking lovely in this episode especially Anum Gohar. Even though I liked the dress that Hayat was wearing but I wish the stylists had styled her better overall. We all know that Yumna Zaidi doesn’t rely much on makeup or glamour but there’s no harm in carrying oneself in accordance to the occasion once in a while. Nevertheless, both Yumna Zaidi & Ahmed Ali acted brilliantly in that confession scene, their chemistry is undeniable & they make Hayat & Zaki the couple that we root for. I am sure now Zaki is going to play mind games with Hayat & she will find herself facing one challenge after another, let’s see what happens next. Please share your thoughts about this hilarious episode of Yeh Raha Dil.
Sohai Ali Abro has been brilliant in all her performances and made a name for herself as one of the boldest actresses of this time.
After her success through Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, she is all set to appear in Faheem Burni’s Love,London,Sialkot.
Sohai And Faheem Burni have a history together with tumhari Natasha, Khoya Khoya Chand and more recently, Aadhi Gawahi and the directors had nothing but praises for the talented damsel. He said that he and Sohai have an understanding which makes working together pleasurable for both of them. He said that she is made to act in films, so she was a natural choice during casting and he had decided on her being the female lead of his movie long before casting began. He appreciated her dedication that she puts her whole heart and soul into her projects.
Talking about the movie, Fahim Burni explained that it is a family comedy and portrays cultural shock in a very light hearted way. He wanted to venture away from terrorism and seriousness of Pakistani movies and show our nation as cultured and well mannered. So, the movie will focus on two people from totally different cultures falling in love and navigating their way through their cultural differences along with their families.
It was undoubtedly a night of vigorous celebrations and pride, as the Pakistani Cricket Team brought home the ICC World Champions Trophy, after a spectacular performance on the ground against India. The country was alight with the traditional colors of the flag and patriotic songs as its dwellers lauded the win long into the night and morning.
Various celebrities posted videos on different social media platforms, congratulating the team and showing the euphoria of the big match from both their homes and the Oval. Ali Azmat was also amongst them and his message gave us a nostalgic warmth.
The singer shared a video of himself singing the iconic Jazba Junoon, once the Pakistan’s go-to cricket anthem and a beloved song till date.
After the Coke Studio production of Paar Channa De the heartthrob lead singer of the famous national band Noori, has laid quite a low profile up until Saturday, when he publicized his first Vlog by a video titled as ‘Ali Noor Stripped Down’. Quoting from his Vlog, the 39-year old made the following statement :
“This year I am turning 40 and I have decided to change a few things. I want to find a purpose in my life, I want to find a bigger reason to live, I want my life to be with you people so that we can start a journey together. To do things together, to explore things together, to find pleasures together, to find happiness together. This is my journey to find my real self.“
He also encouraged his millions of fans worldwide to continue supporting and motivating him as he journeys to find his true inner self.
But that’s not exactly what has his followers bewildered at the moment . The 8 minute video that was posted, has various parts where it seemed that the musician has trimmed his graceful long locks of hair and shaved his beard, making up for a bizarre yet definitely still attractive change of look. In fact he now bears much resemblance to his old self back in 2000.
Here is how his fans reacted:
In the video, Ali Noor takes the audinece along on his trips to the stylist Saima Rashid Bargfrede for his new haircut and wer’e guessing Bobby Salon for his beard. The reactions of his family relatives and friends appraising him for this new-do are quite hilarious!
See the Vlog for yourself:

Pakistan has been trolled time and time again by India with their viral ad Mauka Mauka. The ad showed a Pakistani guy who was trying to celebrate with fireworks during Pakistan India matches. But the guy never gets a chance to do so.

Finally with the historic win of Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final against India; it is time to pay back with some tissues. Take a look at the epic reply of Pakistan. Jazz has really nailed this one:
Yesterday was a day of thrills, excitement, prayers and suspense. As it is said, may the best team win.. and so it did. In a historic match, India was defeated by a wide margin and celebrations have been going on since then..
The best part is, now Bollywood celebrities have also joined the congratulating gang and they are wholeheartedly appreciating Pakistani team who played their best this time.
Thankyou B town… we Pakistanis humbly receive your congratulations ???
Lets take an overview of the journey which lead a team ranked 8th in the ICC rankings to the cup of Champions Trophy 2017. It all started when Pakistan played its first match against India and as you all know we lost. Then started the jokes the universal mauka mauka ones.
But the wind changed the course and Pakistan emerged as a winner of the tournament. So let us live some moments again and see how the people from across the border were feeling at those times. First and foremost the man of the match Fakhar Zaman should be acknowledged here. Being just a newcomer Fakhar made a splendid score of 114 runs and helped Pakistan reach the goal. He really woke Altaf Bhai inside us with his performance:
Moreover Azhar Ali and Hafeez surprised the nation and the rivals equally with their performances. Who would have thought these players will turn the whole world upside down. Even Virat Kohli wasn’t prepared for this!
Questions were asked:
The surprise was too big to handle. Thank Almighty Lala came to the rescue:
With the discovery of truth started a round of conspiracy:
What they didn’t know was the promise which compelled Pakistan to wash them brutally:
And Pakistanis never take Kashmir non-seriously!
The mood was heated and ground felt like LOC!
Yes! Fakhar was in navy in case you are wondering!
When all was done and still there were no chances of winning, supporters of the opponent team started retreating:
And the world saw who the REAL PAPA is:
Papa still forgave the unobedient child because its FATHER’S DAY:
Meanwhile old chaps were really enjoying the scene:
And awaam were busy in roasting as this was their responsibility:
Bacha also started becoming obedient again:
People were worried about their neighbours:
All and all Papa ne bataya ke woh papa kyun hain and the glory of the champions was seen across the globe. PAKISTAN ZINDABAAD!
I know the guy will probably be in hospital or maybe drowning himself in ahem ahem you know what but before this Cardiac attack he got; this is what he was upto:

And since it is proved who the Papa is a piece of advice from Papa on the FATHER’S DAY: Zayada ooper dekh ke chalne wale aise hi gutter main girte hain!
so this episode of Zakham was not at all impressive. It was slow, uninteresting and created more mysteries than solving it.
Earlier, the issue was only why Khawar was behaving this way.. what is his secret? Now everyone is behaving strangely. There were a lot of things that I did not understand from this confusing episode. Firstly, why is Takbeer suddenly losing interest in Ahmed? She goes from saying that he is her priority to finding an old diary of who knows whom and that makes her forget about the crying baby. She was making such lame attempts at calming Ahmed whom she had claimed to love so much that I felt sorry for the little lad whose mother has left him in hands of these two lost souls.
Secondly, why did she call Moosa from the hospital.. was it because she accidentally dialled it from her memory. If that was so, then why did she not call the person she was calling initially to inform like maybe her parents or Khawar?
We all know Khawar is mentally deranged, so he called her dad in a fit of rage and suspicion that Farhan has taken away Takbeer to Moosa. It had to be the most childish thing ever but for her family to take it literally and her father threatening to kill everybody was really stupid. Are they all mentally so disturbed to start a fist fight just because Takbeer and Farhan have gone somewhere without telling anyone?
Similarly Khawar was so upset that she had not taken good care of his child while he himself had complained last night to his sister that she gives too much attention to the baby. Makes no sense..
The only touching thing today was the conversation between mother and daughter. When Khawar broke Takbeer’s phone and she put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down, it looked very unnatural. He had blamed her wrongly and then slammed her phone into the wall. It may have been extremely sensible of her to relax him like that but it takes a super human kind of patience, which is highly unusual.
Basically, nothing happened in this episode that was of any significance. There were just some filler scenes which highlighted Takbeer’s confusion, Khalida’s arrogance, Khawar’s insecurities and craziness and Takbeer’s families’ typicalness. And we already kind of knew it ..
let’s hope for some improvement in the next episode..
One of the most selfless human relations is between a father and his kids. It has always been this way and will remain so. However, this new era has brought forward a generation of fathers who are not only working hard for their kids’ futures but also making an effort to be part of their present, who are dads cum friends to their children.
This Father’s Day, we look at some modern star dads of our industry and their most genuine fatherhood moments that could not escape the camera.
Shahid Afridi has always been very proud of his four gorgeous girls and has been caught many times cuddling and cherishing them.
Fawad Khan has always been a one woman man. This alone shows how much he values his little boy, Ayaan Khan and his princess Elayna Khan. Here are a few pictures of the most handsome man around being a doting daddy.
Danish Taimoor has always been verbal about how protective and sensitive he is about his little Hoorain and makes sure she never misses out on attention, despite having two working parents.
Fahad Mustafa has also been showing off his kids with the pride of a loving dad.
Shehroz Sabzwari with his lively little boy grin would get cheers from all fathers on this photo, by balancing babysitting and gaming while Syra is away.
Iqrar ul Hassan has always been an out of the box thinker and he is raising his son Pehlaaj to do the same. He says I want to be his friend first and then his guide, not just an authoritative figure to be feared.
Now, this picture of Mohib Mirza playing with Meissa is bound to give you fatherhood goals.
Waseem Akram has been both a mother and father to his kids after he lost his wife . And now that he has got his only daughter,he has all the license to spoil his princess.
Fahad Mirza has always been a hands on father and he says spending time with his little one brings him the most pleasure in his otherwise hectic day.
Yasir Nawaz has tried his hand at all forms of art and entertainment and been successful in them through his hard work. Fatherhood, however, comes naturally to him. Here is him with Fareed, Sila and Balaaj.
The youngest dad around, Azaan Sami Khan is also very involved with his little ones.
Here is one of Faisal Qureshi with his youngest princess.
And lastly, Mikaal Zulfiqar, who despite being divorced tries to be a constant loving presence in his daughters’ Rania and Elaina’s lives, surprising them by showing up around them frequently.
Hope you enjoyed seeing your favourite on screen men as daddies and babas to their little ones. And a very very happy Father’s Day to all you daddies as well.. stay blessed and keep up the hard work.
