Search the emoji keyboard
Sometimes, searching an emoji can take up to a 30-40 seconds but with the new iOS 14, its easier than ever.
Open emoji keyboard > search the emoji
Hidden photos are now actually hidden
Before the iOS 14, the hidden photos feature on iPhone would easily made it to the list of top 10 useless things ever. Even after moving your photos to the hidden photos album, it would still appear in the bottom making it easy for anybody to access it. Now, the hidden photos are actually hidden.
As you can see hidden features still appears at the bottom of the Albums in the photos app.
Go to the settings then Photos and turn off the Hidden Album
As you can see the hidden photos in the bottom has disappeared.
If you want to access your hidden photos, you have to go to the photos in settings and turn on the hidden album.
Watch videos in Picture in Picture mode:
You can continue to watch videos in the picture in Picture mode even if you exit the app. For example, if you’re watching a video in Safari or Netflix and exit to the home screen the video will still keep playing while you are using other apps. This feature isn’t available for the YouTube app yet but we can expect it soon.
Fake eye contact in FaceTime
The eye contact feature faced appeared in the iOS 13 beta last year but unfortunately it was never released. The fake eye contact make you look like if you are looking straight at the camera even if you are not.
Turn it on by going to Settings > General > FaceTime > Eye Contact.
Double- or triple-tap on the back of the phone to perform different actions.
One of the coolest features on the iOS 14 is the double or triple tap to perform different actions. For example, you can take a screenshot just by double tapping the back of your screen and many more funtions.
Find the feature in Settings > Accessibility> Touch > Back Tap. Pick the number of taps you want to use, and then you’ll see a list of actions you can initiate.
Know When Apps Use Your Camera and Mic
Our privacy has been compromised and some apps spy on us without our knowledge. The iOS 14 makes sure no such thing happens. Whenever, an app is using our phone’s camera or microphone without our knowledge, an indicator dot in the top right of the screen will appear when these functions are being used. Green means camera, orange means microphone.
If you want to know what app most recently used your camera or microphone, all you have to do is drag down from the top right corner of the iPhone display to open up Control Center, you’ll see information about the apps that most recently used your camera or microphone, just in case you’re unsure
Pin a Message at the top:
There are multiple messages coming our way but there is always this contact we talk the most with. Rather than scrolling down and searching for that contact’s messages, you can simply pin it to the top of the messages.

Before this, whenever you clicked on a link someone sent you on Whatsapp, it would automatically redirect you to Safari but now you can have a default browser of your choice.

The pairing of Saba Qamar and Zahid Ahmed turned out to be a treat for the viewers of Besharam. It was a unique love story which showed when two strong individuals choose to stay together and fight what comes their way, their marriage works against all odds.The key point highlighted in the love story of Haider and Mishi was the communication. They always spoke their hearts and minds out and did not have to worry about being misunderstood.
For Pakistani drama viewers to witness a relationship like this was not only a good change but a breath of fresh air because usually the relationships continue to deteriorate due to miscommunication but in Besharam, the writer showed a very different perspective of how healthy relationships are formed and work. In Besharam, it was a treat to witness the love story of such a couple which came from two different worlds but ended up being perfectly compatible with each other.
Qalb e Momin and Momina Sultan (Alif)
Another beautiful love story that the Pakistani drama viewers got to witness in Alif. This is a perfect example of how the main story of the drama was not purely about their love story but it ended up being such an important part of the story that it left an impact and long-lasting impression on the minds of the viewers. Momina and Qalb e Momin did not leave a good impression on each other the first time they met, but when their path crossed again and they gave each other a fair chance, they fell in love.
It was a treat for the viewers to see such a beautiful relationship unfold in front of their eyes which was purely based on utmost respect, honor and pure intent. Momin never imagined seeing himself longing for anyone like he did for Momina. Momina was the first one to experience how Momin had changed completely and she loved him based on his present and not his past. Although the scenes of Momin and Momina were limited, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Sajal Aly’s couple wasn’t just beautiful together, they had a perfect chemistry which made their love story unforgettable. They didn’t choose a happy and definitive ending by deciding to stay together but the moments they shared were enough to make it a beautiful love story.
Faarah and Wali (Diyar e Dil)
The equation their couple shared in Diyar e Dil was simply sweet. Their love story was covered in the second half of the drama because of which it was well received as before them, it was all about the bitter experiences their parents had shared. Although Faarah got married to Wali unexpectedly because her father decided to strengthen the relationships. Faarah despite having the option of backing out does not do it because she decides to give it a chance and later, she finds more than enough reasons to know that she took the right decision by respecting what her father chose for her. Wali was already in love with the idea of being married to Faarah because he valued his relationships and kept them close to his heart, therefore his patience and perseverance made Farah fall in love with him.
In the final stages of the story it was interesting to see how Faarah eagerly wanted to make this marriage work but Wali gives her a cold shoulder just to set her free because he feels guilty for binding her in a relationship in which she is not emotionally invested. The growth of Faarah’s character where she goes from being bitter to completely in love with her father’s family and then her husband was beautiful. Maya Ali and Osman Khalid Butt’s chemistry and pairing was beautiful and nothing short of a treat for their fans.
Saad and Dua (Ehd e Wafa)
Saad and Dua’s love story is going to be remembered for a long long time. Those viewers who have been a fan of Korean drama Descendants of The Sun were in for a treat when they got to see a Pakistani version of that love story recreated in Ehd e Wafa. The man from the army and his lady love being a doctor. The relationship of Saad and Dua was refreshing and also perspective altering for the younger viewers of the drama because it showcased how important it was to have aspirations and goals, apart from getting married before establishing your careers and pursuing your education.
Ehd e Wafa was probably the only drama which showed that the marriage could wait and in the meantime, it was a wise decision to have the families on board. Saad and Dua approached their relationship with practicality and when they both were ready, they got married. Their humorous conversations were the highlight of their relationship and this why, whenever they got emotional, it hit home for the viewers even more. Saad and Dua’s love story was new and one of its kind in Pakistani drama history. Ahad Raza Mir and Alizeh Shah’s pairing was cute too.
Sameer and Gauhar (Ishq Zahe Naseeb)
The relationship of Sameer and Gauhar took everyone by surprise because the viewers of Ishq Zahe Naseeb did not expect that they would find themselves rooting for the couple. Sameer was fighting his inner demons but Gauhar came into his life and showed him that he deserved to be loved because he was completely worthy of it. Sameer found himself opening in front of Gauhar, something which he had never done before. It was purely the selfless love that Gauhar made him experience which laid the foundation of their love story. After the terrifying journey that Sameer lived half of his life, to see him coming out of it purely because of the driving force of Gauhar’s love was wholesome.
Zahid Ahmed and Sonya Hussyn made the love story of Sameer and Gauhar absolutely beautiful. The few times they shared the screen as a married couple and in the finale as a happy married couple waiting to start afresh was perfect. They both looked so good together and their love story although should’ve been more elaborated was a memorable love story to witness.
Gaiti Ara and Badar (Do Bol)
Gaitiara was forced into this relationship and Badar approached her love the wrong way because he felt it was right to be selfish in order to get married to the love of his life. Badar manipulated the situation in his favor and then did everything he could to come out of the guilt because he saw how badly Gaiti suffered. This love story became popular because of how simply and effortlessly it progressed. Gaiti and Badar were two different people but they had one thing in common – the feelings for each other which slowly developed into love because Gaiti saw how much heavy lifting her husband did for her.
Badar also learned to love Gaiti selflessly and that is when Gaiti fell in love with him. Hira Mani and Affan Waheed’s pairing was new and it took everyone by surprise how their chemistry was strong and just perfect. They made a perfect on-screen couple and made people fall in love with the simplest love story of Gaiti and Badar.
Saba and Fakhir (Khaas)
Saba and Fakhir’s relationship was beautiful because it was based on friendship and mutual respect. Fakhir loved Saba before she even knew it but continued to be an ear to her problems, lent her a shoulder to cry on because he genuinely felt she deserved the consoling after being stuck in a toxic relationship. Although Fakhir fell in love with Saba because he saw a striking resemblance between Saba and his mother but as he got to learn her more, he loved her purely for who she was. Saba also had enough reasons to fall in love with Fakhir because he restored her faith in love, marriage and most importantly, the faith and confidence in herself that she was entitled to be what she dreamt of.
The death of Fakhir left the viewers absolutely shocked but the beauty and sweetness of their love story still remains in the hearts of the viewers. Sanam Baloch and Haroon Shahid’s pairing was new but was the perfect pick for showing Saba and Fakhir’s journey full of hardships, struggles and then blissful marriage.
Hammad and Imaan (Khuda aur Mohabbat)
This was another love story which had a tragic ending but was memorable enough for the time it lasted. Hammad fell in love with Imaan hard, her love transformed him into a better version of himself. He experienced life the way he hadn’t before only because he wanted to prove how far he could go in loving Imaan. Hammad did everything he could in his might for Imaan and never once asked for anything in return because he did not want to burden her soul but the intensity and purity of his love was enough for Imaan to resist falling in love with Hammad too.
Although the love story of Hammad and Imaan did not have a happy ending, the love they had for each other was unique and the kind that is not experienced very often. Their few interactions were beautiful and the longing Hammad had for Imaan was tear jerking. Imran Abbas and Saadia Khan were at their finest in Khuda Aur Mohabbat and gave the characters of Hammad and Imaan a beautiful face.
