In a recent interview the Channo artist stated that,

“Two things that lie at the heart of our nation’s DNA are cricket and music and I am extremely fortunate to live these two passions in this lifetime. As exciting as it is to write, compose and to sing the official anthem for the third time, it was actually quite challenging given that last year’s anthem was such a massive hit,”

He further commented,

“I cannot explain how humbling it was to hear it play from every car, home and in every street when the final came home to Pakistan. The legal battle between Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi has entered a new phase. Lahore High Court overturned a stay order on defamation case against Ali Zafar filed by Meesha Shafi. Meesha Shafi marked the occasion with a selfie with her legal team.

Ali Zafar has now come forward with a response and calls the new development ” a self-proclaimed victory”. He called the other side criminals and has said that he will come forward with complete evidence:

After the overturning of the stay order, the defamation case against Ali Zafar can move forward in court. Meesha Shafi has filed a suit of 2 billion rupees against Ali Zafar. On the other hand, hearing on Ali Zafar’s suit against Meesha Shafi is going on.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is right around the corner. The anthem of PSL just released its official anthem featuring; Ali Azmat, Haroon and Asim Azhar with Arif Lohar.

This year’s PSL anthem did not impress people and everyone missed Ali Zafar as he sang PSL’s iconic “Seeti Bajay Ge” song. Ali Zafar thanked people for the love he received for his version of the PSL anthem. He also requested people to appreciate efforts by other fellow artists because we all are a family.

Ali Zafar has big plans for this year, he has decided that he wants to make himself more accessible to the people of Pakistan who gave him the name he has today. Ali Zafar is going to do that by doing 50 live shows in 60 days.

While talking to Express Tribune Ali Zafar said,

“In the same period I also worked on 4 TV commercials. Music had recently taken the back seat for me but that’s not the case anymore. I am working on my next album which will be out this year.”

Ali Zafar also wants musicians to get together and work on different projects. He also wants to help these musicians reach that goal. He said,

“I want people to get together. Back in the day it was always like that. Musicians, artists and writers would sit together, discuss their work. That culture has sort of waned. I built a state-of-the-art studio in my basement for the sole reason. I call everybody to come, jam and have fun.”

Ali Zafar’s concert in Lahore last week was a huge success. It was attended by 5,000 to 6,000 people. Although it rained at the time of the concert but Ali Zafar and the crowd did not let the weather effect them. Talking to the media he said,

“This is the first time I have ever experienced something like this. While me and my band kept soaking in the rain, we kept on performing for the crowd who refused to leave and kept on dancing. I have never seen so much love — that even in the chilly winter rain, fans would stay to hear their favorite songs. One of the most memorable nights.”

Ali Azmat, after expressing his hurt and anger at the organizers of the PSL V opening ceremony, also made a claim about all the hate and trolling that their latest version of the PSL anthem had received. It seems like Ali has finally succeeded in getting into the good books of Yash Raj Films and as per the latest Bollywood reveals, he will next be seen in an upcoming YSF ‘Kill Dill’ which is produced by Aditya Chopra and the cast includes Ranveer Singh, Pariniti Chopra and Ali Zafar.  Making the movie more interesting, this is going to be after a long time that the audience will see a Govinda as the villain of the story. He was last seen doing a negative role in Shikaari.

Pariniti Chopra, Priyanka’s sister has previously done a movie with Ranveer Singh in ‘Ladies versus Ricky Bahl’ and the two are now again ready to make the screen shake with their powerful performances. It would be really interesting to see Ali doing a major role.

The film will be releasing early in 2014.

Ali Zafar has been recently seen filming some death defying action scenes for his upcoming movie ‘Teefa In Trouble’, costarring Maya Ali.The movie is romantic comedy and full of action. Although there is nothing much to talk about the movie since the makers have not revealed the details yet.

Lately, A specific sequence of images during the shoot has been released in which Ali has been seen doing a daring stunt himself. The director of the movie, Ahsan Rahim, admits that Ali is so dedicated to the script that he refused to a stunt double in order to deliver a true action packed scene.

Meesha Shafi came out on Twitter some time back as she accused rockstar Ali Zafar of harassment. The fight got uglier and uglier after that as both the stars have been fighting it out in the courts. There are statements coming from both the counsels of both sides all the times as the hearings take place.

Both the stars have filed their cases and look like Ali Zafar just filed another criminal case against Meesha Shafi for fraud. According to the legal counsel of Ali Zafar, Meesha Shafi has been wasting the court’s time and has not even appeared for the case although she was in the country as the photographs of the star attending Aurat March were on the social media.

A case under section 476 of the law has been filed against Meesha which is against forged documents, misrepresentation, misstatement and fraud. Let’s see how far this fight will go or either an agreement will be reached or not!

After a successful stint in Bollywood, actor-singer Ali Zafar decided to take a sabbatical from Hindi movies in 2015 and concentrate on Pakistani films.

In a recent interview with Dawn, the singer revealed that he felt conscious while he was working in India, as the political situation between both the counties are quite unpredictable.

“While I was working in India, I was very conscious of the fact that this is not my country,” said Ali Zafar to Dawn. Her further added, “Pakistan is my country. Things between India and Pakistan are very uncertain. Things can come to a stop anytime. Which is why, contrary to popular perception, I never shifted my base to India. (masalabox.com) ”

Ali, always being conscious of his fans, defended the Indian public putting the blame on their media instead. He said, “The Indian Media instantly started trashing Pakistan but on the ground level nothing changed, things were still pretty normal for me.”

In wake of the Uri attacks and the volatile situation in Kashmir, the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) had banned Pakistani actors, singers and technicians from working on Indian films. This decision had the actor return amidst the ‘Dear Zindagi’ promotions.

“Being an optimist, I always see a silver lining,” he stressed in the interview. “Things happen at a certain time for a certain reason. There’s no point thinking and wasting your energy in trying to figure out what happened. I always knew this could happen one day. And as I was saying before was that we need to build our own industry. My film was already in preproduction, I was already thinking Pakistan.”
