Qavi Khan received Nishan-i-Imtiaz, the highest civil award in Pakistan, for his outstanding services in entertainment industry.

The Multan born actor began his career in 1970 as an assistant director of films. In 1978, he got the chance to perform as an actor. In a rather sad turn of events, veteran Pakistani TV actor Fahmeed Khan has passed away. According to reports, the actor passed away last night, however, the cause of his death is yet unknown.

The news of Fahmeed Khan passing away was shared by Angeline Malik on her social media.

“Our fellow actor Fahmeed Khan Sahib passed away today…Very unexpected but then that’s what we never learn that life is unpredictable… he was in almost every episode of my series Kitni Girhain baqi Hain… he would never say no to me always a phone call away… Sir you will be missed… Lets all remember him in our prayers,” wrote Angeline Malik.

Fahmeed Khan started his career from Radio Pakistan and then moved on to acting in a number of well known Pakistani dramas with renowned Directors. As stated by Angelina, Khan, was a regular actor in her series Kitni Girhan Baqi Hain. He last appeared in drama serial Teri Berukhi on Geo.

Popular Pakistani television, film and stage actor Ismail Tara passed away. Ismail Tara has appeared in many popular Pakistani television and stage dramas. Ismail Tara passed away at the age of 73.

According to the family sources, the legendary actor was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Karachi. The family members reported that Ismail Tara was having treatment for his ailment in a private hospital for three days. His family also informed that the veteran actor suffered from renal failure, his kidneys stopped working and he was shifted to the hospital where he was placed to a ventilator this morning.

Famous Pakistani film industry actor Ejaz Durrani dies. Ejaz Durrani was Madam Noor Jahan’s ex husband. They together have three daughters Hina Durrani, Shazia and Nazia Ejaz. He was a big film director and producer as well. He worked from 1956 to 1984.

Madam Noor Jahan was a part of his production house for a longer time but later on the couple got divorced. Ejaz Durrani was the first ever hero who had a diamond jubilee film to his credit. His song Wanjhli walarhea was super famous. He is mostly known for his film Heer Ranjha.

He was especially known for portraying  Punjabi culture and folk heroes from the epic love stories of the Punjab .

In a sad turn of events, veteran Pakistani drama actor, Tariq Malik, passed away on Thursday. Initial sources report Malik’s cause of death to be a heart attack. Although he had been diagnosed with typhoid and coronavirus as well.

According to family sources, Malik had tested positive for coronavirus a week ago and was undergoing treatment at a local hospital where he died of cardiac arrest on Thursday.

Tariq Malik was famously known for his character Murad in the drama Guest House, that highlighted difficulties faced by travelers in a very lighthearted manner.

Alongside television, Tariq Malik was also actively associated with Radio Pakistan for a long time.

The actor was residing in Rawalpindi where he passed away due to a heart attack in the hospital.

Despite high tensions between India and Pakistan, it seems people keep flying from here to there without repercussions. We say this because, amid deteriorating relationships between the two neighbors, famous veteran Bollywood actor and member of the parliament, Shatrughan Sinha was recently spotted in Pakistan.

Veteran artist Mehwish is no more with us, she passed away yesterday in Lahore. She was suffering from intestinal ailment and hepatitis. Known as Mehwish Aapa among fellow artists, she served theatre, films and television in supporting and comic roles.

In a shocking and rather sickening turn of events, veteran actress Salma Zafar has called out actor and producer husband wife duo, Javeria and Saud over non payment of dues for the services rendered to their production house.

In a thirty five minute long video message, Salma Zafar revealed that Javeria and Saud owed payments to a number of people including actors and technicians who had worked with their production house in the past few months.

The veteran actress shared how Saud had abused a number of employees using harsh words and indecent language vowing not to pay a penny to anyone, even those who had a meager amount, as low as 7000 rupees too.

Pakistan lost another legend s veteran actress Roohi Bano is no more. Roohi Bano is a name known to millions. She made a huge place for herself with her talent and will always be remembered as one of the greatest artists of the Pakistani entertainment industry.

Roohi Bano has been in a very bad state for quite some time now. She was suffering from schizophrenia and also spent some time at the Lahore Fountain House due to her illness. She suffered from the said disease after she lost her son. Roohi Bano was suffering from kidney failure and was also a patient of diabetes. She was on a ventilator for pat 10 days at a hospital in Istanbul where she breathed her last.

The way such a great artist suffered before she left this world showed how unprotected our artists are. May her soul rest in peace!

Veteran TV actress Naila Jaffri has been shifted to her residence after getting discharged from Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi.

Senior actors Talat Hussain, Asmat Iqbal and others reached the hospital to see Naila after, the news of her cancer treatment and blood donation went viral on social media. They shared that the actress is a strong woman and has fought bravely against the disease, reported a local publication.

According to the hospital authorities, Naila Jaffri is under treatment and will be in good health soon. It was also reported that the actress was never in a critical condition and the news was exaggerated on social media.

Veteran TV actress, Naila Jaffery who is undergoing cancer treatment at Liaquat National Hospital needs financial and moral support. The actor who was diagnosed with cancer last year also needs blood group B+ for her treatment.

Playwright and lyricist Ali Moeen, who visited her Friday evening, said the actress is suffering from ovarian cancer. “The illness surfaced four to five months ago. She is at the third stage now,” he told The Express Tribune.

“Therapy was done today to contain the disease but her body is not responding… [however] Naila is in high spirits.”

“She wants to be shifted to Shaukat Khanum hospital…needs a lot of support, both moral and financial.”

He said many from the showbiz fraternity have shown their concern for the cancer-stricken artist. “Everyone has been visiting the hospital to see Naila. Sangeeta apa and Adnan Jilani, among others came today. I insist everybody come together to support her.”

Earlier this month, Naila spoke to Faisal Qureshi during his morning show and revealed more about her disease. She narrated a bitter reality of her life, but remained strong and stressed upon the need to spread awareness among the public.

Naila Jaffery started her acting career in the 90s, she’s one of the most versatile actors of Pakistan. According to The Express Tribune, Federal Government of Pakistan has offered financial help to the actress. Naila will be given a sum of Rs1 million for her contributions to Pakistani cinema.

Mumtaz comes from the golden era of the Pakistani film industry. She has worked with Sultan Rahi, Waheed Murad, Munawar Zareef, Nadeem Baig and all the other big names in the industry. She ruled as the leading lady and only did good scripts before she left for Canada and settled there. She is now back in Pakistan as her son wants to enter the industry and thus we got to see her again on National television.

Tanveer Jamal made his name by directing and producing the first action-packed mega drama serial ‘Godfather’ in a private production while this drama serial was recorded in Pakistan and Japan. As per details shared by Geo News Urdu, the veteran actor has also appealed to his loved ones all over the world, including Pakistan, for prayers for his recovery.

Today, Pakistan lost its another legendary artist, unfortunately. The Veteran Pakistani television actor Sohail Asghar passed away on 13th November 2021. The brilliant actor essayed a lot of challenging roles in different dramas. His famous dramas were Khuda Ki Basti, Laag, Taqay Ki Ayegi Barat and many more.

According to family and friends, Sohail Asghar was sick for a longer period of time. He also went through a major stomach surgery, one and half year ago. His family sources have confirmed his death. He was living in Bahria Town Lahore.

Lately, a voice note of the actor has been surfaced on social media, he is replying to his friend Noor. Sohail Asghar’s voice seems emotional and shaky due to his severe illness but he was all in gratitude.

In voice note, he said, “Walaikum Assalam Noor, may Allah gives you complete health, May Allah gives health to all those friends who need it . We get Allah’s tests like this, but thanks to Allah that he has not left me in hardships, he has been with me throughout. He will be with me, In Sha Allah. I have heard sick person’s salutations and prayers are accepted for sick. Allah loves me, he has given me this test, I was not worthy of these tests but Allah gives tests to his dear ones, we don’t know, Allah knows better. One thing I can say that I haven’t think bad of anyone , I have only thought good about others, May Allah bless you, Stay healthy and Happy Noor, May Allah Bless you ”

Notable TV actor, Sohail Asghar has met with his creator, after long-time illness. As per the actor’s family, Asghar had been ailing for more than 1.5 years and was hospitalized in the past week due to deteriorating condition.

According to the sources, senior actor Sohail Asghar underwent gastric surgery one and a half years ago due to which he fell severely ill. His funeral prayers will be held tomorrow in Bahria Town Karachi.

Suhail Asghar was born in Lahore and completed his education there, after which he became part of Radio Pakistan. From 1978 to 1988, Sohail Asghar worked as a radio jockey for 10 years, after which he started acting in theatre plays. He has acted in dramas like ‘Laag’, ‘Piyas’, ‘Chand Girhan’ and ‘Kajal Ghar’ in his career. He made his debut in the cinema industry in 2003 with the film ‘Murad’. In 2004, another of his films ‘Mah e Noor’ released which gave him recognition.

Pakistan has been blessed with talent and we have had many talented people who have worked and kept their fields alive in the worst of situations. Shaukat Zaidi is a big name in the entertainment and journalism worlds as he excelled in both and people loved and respected him. He also wrote theatre plays for a decade in his career.

It is another sad day for Pakistan as Shukat Zaidi left this mortal world at the age of 72. He was getting kidney treatment from a private hospital in Lahore and he passed away on Saturday due to his illness.

Pakistan has lost many of its legends in the past one year and the passing away of Shaukat Zaidi has been added to the long list.
