This was yet another beautiful and thoughtful episode of Ehd-e-Wafa. The meaningful dialogues, superb performances by all the actors involved and the fact that the outdoor scenes in particular were shot so well made this episode a treat to watch. The pace of the drama and the screenplay is much more engaging now than it was few weeks back. Ehd-e-Wafa is refreshing, original and entertaining.
Latest Developments
Tonight’s episode of Ehd-e-Wafa opened with Saad finding out that his seniors were actually playing a prank on him and later on the viewers were shown how Saad continued to show his leadership skills. Saad and Gulzar’s conversations were entertaining and enlightening at the same time. In a fun way the viewers got to see different ways in which the soldiers are trained. This episode also had a short but meaningful scene which showed the special relationship Saad had with his mother. She is the first one he shares his achievements and fears with.
Raani’s scenes tonight were hilarious. Raani and Shahzain have not changed at all, their essential nature is the same as it was in the beginning. Raani was shown fooling the women so that they would vote for her husband. It was amusing watching Raani tell these women the importance of education. Raani’s dialogues about how politicians use fake promises to get votes were sadly a true reflection of our political system. It was however good to see Shahzain telling her not to do that but at the same time he does not really qualify for the seat he is contesting from. The preview of the next episode also suggested that Shahzain is just as arrogant today as he was so many years back.
Shariq was always focused but now he has a definite direction in life which has given him so much confidence. The relationship between Ramsha and Shariq is truly refreshing. Both these actors have amazing on-screen chemistry and their performances have been on point right from the start. The way Shariq managed to have his own way and wasn’t willing to work without Ramsha was likable. At the same time Ramsha was more than happy with Shariq going ahead with this position without her. I have said this before but I feel the need to say it again – I don’t remember the last time we saw such a healthy and positive friendship between a man and a woman in a Pakistani drama. The writer deserves full marks for this realistic representation of so many young men and women who help each other grow as friends.
Similarly, Shehryar too wants Masooma to study and the idea of marriage doesn’t appeal to him just yet. Just like all the other youngsters in the drama he too wants to focus on his studies which he knows that is the only way to get a good job and improve his living conditions. Having said that, I truly felt for poor Masooma. It is definitely great watching men who expect more from women than chai and roti! Masooma has a completely different mindset and I do think that there is nothing wrong with that. A lot of women are housewives and they also contribute in their own way. It was good to see Shehryar re-evaluating his actions later on and heading back home to perhaps apologize to Masooma. I am wondering if Shehryar telling Masooma off will give her the motivation she needs to change the way she perceives her future. Through Shehryar, Gulzar and Shariq’s track, the writer has aptly shown how young people can change their destiny by setting certain goals for themselves and working hard to achieve these goals.
Final Remarks
All the actors performed absolutely remarkably tonight and I love how the writer has represented the youth in this drama. The variations in the characters and their journeys has made Ehd-e-Wafa a must watch. The preview of the next episode was brilliant – Shariq’s confidence and conviction on one side and Shahzain’s arrogance on the other! Also, looking forward to Dua and Saad’s conversation. Ehd-e-Wafa has taken off for good and it seems like it will only get even better from here on.

Sajal Aly is one of the biggest names and stars of Pakistani showbiz industry. She has earned a name and fame for herself with her persistence and hard work. It won’t be wrong to say that Sajal Aly rules hearts and she is one of those very few celebrities who have always maintained a healthy relationship with her fans. She is poised, elegant and most importantly she carries herself with grace. This is the reason why no one has ever seen Sajal Aly being involved in controversies. Despite being so popular, Sajal Aly has maintained a low profile and when it comes to her personal life, she keeps it private and away from the public eye. Sajal Aly is one such celebrity who believes in earning fame purely based on her body of work.
Everytime Sajal’s name comes into the limelight, Ahad Raza Mir‘s name also crosses the mind. Although Sajal and Ahad have kept their private lives to themselves, it is safe to say that they are loved by millions of fans across the world. They are one of the most loved and celebrated couples of Pakistani showbiz industry. Sajal and Ahad do compliment each other every now and then. However, another endearing aspect of their life is the love and encouragement Ahad Raza Mir’s mother showers on them both. Mrs. Asif Raza Mir goes by the name of Mama Mir on Instagram and she actually has proved time and again that she is a loving Mama to Sajal Aly as well.
In literal sense, it is safe to say that Sajal Aly and Mama Mir are #relationshipgoals because they are redefining the bond that a daughter and mother in law share. Since celebrities all over the world are keenly followed by masses and they also inspire their fans and followers, it is a fact that Sajal and Mama Mir’s relationship is teaching a lot of good things to young and old.
Let’s take a look at some of the aspects of the beautiful relationship shared by Sajal Aly and Mama Mir:
Mama Mir Is Sajal Aly’s Best Friend
Sajal Aly might not be too vocal about her personal life but when it comes to her feelings about Mama Mir, she doesn’t hold back and shares it every now and then. Sajal Aly feels blessed to have a mother in law like Mama Mir who is more like her best friend. Unfortunately, Sajal Aly lost her mother at a young age, therefore she has found a safe haven in her association with Mama Mir because she treats her like her own daughter, which is absolutely beautiful. It is actually a depiction of how strong their relationship is where Sajal Aly has given Mama Mir the same status as her mother, it shows that it is a two-way affair. Mama Mir welcomed Sajal in her family and treated her as her own daughter, similarly Sajal Aly accepted her love and gave her the status of her mother.
Mama Mir’s Encouragement Towards Sajal’s Career
Mama Mir is known for being the # 1 fan of Ahad Raza Mir, but it rings true for Sajal Aly as well. Mama Mir has time and again shared how much she is proud of Sajal, how she is always rooting for her and looking forward to her projects. For Mama Mir, Sajal Aly’s dramas and her projects are just as important as Ahad’s. In this day and age, it is a rarity to see a mother in law not only being supportive but being vocal about her feelings for her daughter in law’s passion and career. In true sense, Mama Mir has encouraged Sajal Aly every step of the way. Even before Sajal Aly officially became a part of the Mir clan, Mama Mir was seen cheering for her and wishing her success since Yakeen Ka Safar days. This definitely sets a beautiful example for all those mothers in law with career oriented daughters in law, that all they have to do is support and help them chase their dreams. It will do wonders because it will nourish and flourish the relationship their daughters in law will have with them.
Mama Mir Gives Credit Where It’s Due
Mama Mir’s social media feed is filled with her special moments with her family – her husband, her sons and her daughter in law. This is why, in one of the pictures, Mama Mir took a moment to give Sajal Aly the credit of doing her hair and makeup, which was absolutely sweet. It is nice to see them having this kind of relationship where they take care of basic things, like makeup. It also means that before making an appearance on events, Mama Mir must be taking styling and clothing advice from Sajal Aly too. Another beautiful aspect is that Sajal Aly is very much celebrated in the Mir family. On Sajal Aly’s birthday Mama Mir posted the snippets of the intimate birthday celebration they had and she also shared the pictures of cake and beautiful flowers carefully picked for her.
Sajal Aly Is Mama Mir’s Favorite
Mama Mir has time and again posted captions telling how much she adores Sajal Aly. It is a done deal that she not only finds Sajal Aly beautiful but she happens to be her favorite. Mama Mir might have two sons but it is a beautiful thing to know that for her Sajal is just like her own daughter and she treats her the same way. Mama Mir feels truly blessed to have Sajal in her life and it is absolutely sweet how she has happily taken the responsibility of being Sajal’s mother. Mama Mir finds the world beautiful with Sajal’s presence in it, which goes to show how important her daughter in law is for her and the kind of healthy, beautiful and strong relationship they share.
Mama Mir’s Beautiful Relationship With Sajal Aly’s Siblings
Mama Mir has not only taken a role of being a mother to Sajal Aly, in fact she has very much become a mother figure in the lives of Sajal’s siblings – Saboor Aly and Muhammad Ali. All these siblings were very close to their mother and her early departure from the world left them shattered. Although no one can replace the way a mother loves her children but Mama Mir has beautifully taken that role and she showers Sajal, Saboor and Mohammad with all the love she has. Many times, it is actually very sweet to see Mama Mir posting compliments on Saboor’s pictures. She also makes sure to comment on Sajal’s brother; Mohammad’s pictures too. This goes to show that she has not only welcomed Sajal in her family, she has also maintained a healthy and beautiful relationship with her siblings.
Sajal Aly Acknowledges Mama Mir’s Love & Encouragement
When Ahad Raza Mir’s debut film Parwaaz Hai Junoon was about to release, Sajal Aly took it to the social media to express the beautiful moment she witnessed between a mother and a son. For Sajal, it was a beautiful reminder of how her mother used to root for her. Sajal Aly could relate to it because she saw Mama Mir cheering for her son and being proud of his success. It very sweet of her to document and then word her feelings about what she experienced. We can only begin to imagine how passionate Mama Mir must be about Sajal Aly’s career, this is the reason why she constantly shows her support towards her dramas and lets everyone know how proud she is of Sajal and her choices.
The mother-daughter in law relationship of Sajal Aly and Mama Mir is exemplary. It shows how a mutual feeling of respect, love and support establishes a strong relationship. All the things they say about each other is free of pretense and fabrication, because it shows in their attitude towards each other that they have nothing but immense love and respect for one another. This truly sends a very strong message to people following them that it takes an effort from both sides to develop something beautiful and nourish it for the rest of their lives. They both have definitely redefined the beauty of this relationship and have shown to the entire world that it just needs a bigger heart and a lot of love to become an important part of each other’s lives. We wish love, power and lifetime of togetherness to both Sajal Aly and Mama Mir where they continue to be like mother and daughter to each other.

It seems like Alizeh Shah and alleged beau Noaman Sami are finally coming together for a television project. Directed by Usama Ali Raza and based on a script by Mirza Asim Baig and Humera Safdar, Alizeh and Noaman will be seen in ARY Digital’s Mera Dil Mera Dushman alongside Yasir Nawaz. The drama is a production by Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed’s Next Level Entertainment.
Teasers of Mera Dil Mera Dushman have started doing rounds on the channel and show a different story where Alizeh as the bride is seen cursing her fate.
Another teaser shows Alizey Shah, dressed as a gorgeous bride, meeting Noaman Sami as her future husband. The two look happy together but Alizey’s world turns upside down when she discovers Yasir Nawaz as her husband to be, about to sign the marriage contract.
Mera Dil Mera Dushman has brought about an intriguing story line so far. Although we’ve seen dramas where a gorgeous bride is often married off to a not so good looking man, especially Yasir Nawaz’s last, Dil Mom Ka Diya, it seems so Mera Dil Mera Dushman will bring about a different story for its viewers.
With Meray Paas Tum Ho about to end next week on the channel, and a number of new drama serials lined up for ARY Digital, one can only hope that any of these turns out to be half as exciting as Meray Paas Tum Ho was.
Recently veteran actress Bushra Ansari came under fire for rumors regarding her second marriage. Although rumors, the news was circulated on social media, picking up fire and creating a lot of stir. The stir also brought Bushra Ansari under fire for allegedly marrying for second time without any confirmation from the actress herself.
Having experienced the criticism and pain first hand, Bushra Ansari recently opened up on a show with Ahsan Khan. Talking about how judgmental social media had become, the veteran actress stated, “They’re destroying lives, judging people, forgetting their ethics. They label people as bad forgetting that if someone calls them with similar names they won’t even find a place to hide.”
Referring to the social media trolls as a group who destroys other people’s mind, Bushra Ansari added, “They have forgotten basic social ethics and what our religion teaches us. Who knows I pray five times a day, but people have to comment judging others based on their looks and attires.”
Sports presenter Zainab Abbas and Shehwaar aka Adnan Siddiqui were spotted together. They posed for a picture while promoting blockbuster drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho and Pakistan Super League 5.

Under this picture, people could not stop calling out Shehwaar. They warned Zainab Abbas to beware of Shehwaar as he is a wicked man and can ruin her life as he did with Mehwish.
Check out some of the tweets of people warning Zainab Abbas:
مہوش کے بعد شہوار دی گریٹ کا نیا ٹارگٹ زینب عباس ۔ شہوار صاحب بس ذرا ماھم سے بچ کر رھنا ویسے بھی اسکے سامنے آپ باقاعدہ بھیگی بلی کیطرح ھوتے ھیں

Since I genuinely look forward to our discussions every Saturday on this particular thread therefore I decided to watch the Mere Pass Tum Ho special episode (show) although I usually don’t watch such shows. So here I am sharing some random thoughts about Mere Pass Tum Ho in general and the ‘special episode’ in particular. We have all been waiting for the ending of Mere Pass Tum Ho impatiently, the producers did not only decide to add an extra episode to the serial but also delayed the ending. I must say that this was a really intelligent move from a monetary/business point of view but one which frustrated most of the viewers.
The fact however remains that this hype is backed by massive viewership therefore despite the fact that most of us do not agree with some of the marketing strategies and tactics used by the producers to ensure that viewers tune in to the show when it goes on air, most of us are equally excited to watch this last episode. The question is that whether this last episode will live up to the hype? From making the viewers wait to airing the last episode in the cinemas, the producers have left no stone unturned to ensure that they have the viewers’ attention. Such marketing strategies have also upset those viewers who believe that the drama is not worth the hype!
Tonight’s show however turned out to be another wise decision by the producers. Instead of showing flashbacks, another filler episode or a repeat episode, the producers managed to put together a show which was both insightful in some ways and entertaining.
Will Danish Die?
When Ahmed Ali Butt asked everyone present at the show how they wanted this drama to end, no one mentioned that someone will die therefore I have a feeling that someone might die in the end. Everyone was all for a happy ending – perhaps because there isn’t going to be one. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar in an interview however said that there will be a tragic ending. No one once said that Danish will die in the end. It is impossible to predict how Mere Pass Tum Ho will end but it was great watching everyone involved sharing their opinion on one platform.
What Are Your Expectations?
It was interesting watching the host Ahmed Ali Butt sharing all those viral memes and asking all those questions which people have been asking. The question about sparkling water showed how good his research was! I love Ahmed Ali But as a host, he is not only witty but he is always well prepared. I would love to hear from everyone here what their expectations are from the ending. I have no clue what is coming our way but this ending definitely reminds me of the way all of us looked forward to Dillagi’s ending. The situation in this drama however is far more complicated.
Is Mere Pass Tum Ho Worth The Hype?
Whether Mere Pass Tum Ho is worth the hype or not is debatable but the attention this drama got is definitely unmatched. It would also be unfair to say that Mere Pass Tum Ho was just another story about betrayal because for the first time the viewers got to see a man’s perspective in such detail – what a man goes through when he is hurt and betrayed. The team Mere Pass Tum Ho definitely succeeded in getting that message across. Like every other drama written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar this one too had quite a few dialogues which the viewers loved and others which were considered regressive by viewers who do not agree with the writer’s philosophy. Nadeem Baig deserves all the praise and definitely an award for the magic woven by him on-screen. Even when the first few episodes of Mere Pass Tum Ho did not work for me at all, I always noticed and appreciated the beautifully rendered details which created the right atmosphere for every situation. It was good to see Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar showering Nadeem Baig with all the praise because he surely deserves it.
The stellar performances by Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui in particular added to the overall appeal of this drama. Last but not the least the writer managed to make a somewhat familiar story extremely powerful. Technically too this drama had no glaring flaws. There were times when the story was lethargic and repetitive but for the most part Mere Pass Tum Ho managed to entertain the viewers with quite a few unexpected twists and turns. Some of the emotional scenes will stay with us for a really long time. I am hoping to see an ending which will truly make Mere Pass Tum Ho memorable.
Final Remarks
I must say that after a really long time I am truly looking forward to the last episode of a drama. Although initially I felt that the idea of a special show might just add to the hype and nothing else but this show was actually like spending two hours with the people who entertained us for so many weeks. The good thing about this show was that everyone was included in it and only those actors were missing who couldn’t make it to the show. Shees is a witty child, he actually left Ahmed Ali Butt speechless.
I must say however that Humayun Saeed has been brilliant as Danish but he seemed quite distant in this interview although he is the producer as well. Ayeza Khan looked stunning and I enjoyed her remarks and presence in the show. But this is definitely not the first time that she is playing a negative/grey character, she recently played three such characters in Yaariyan, Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua and even in Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Ho. It is funny how everyone was cautious while talking to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar but even then Ahmed Butt managed to ask him quite a few interesting questions. Nadeem Baig is a gem for sure.
Am I the only one who feels that the producers are trying really hard to sell us the ‘Hania/Danish’ couple. Hira Mani and Humayun Saeed also shared screen space in a commercial and somehow the on-screen chemistry is just not there. Am I the only one who feels that way? Apart from the fact that Hania and Danish just did not get enough screen time together, the actors too do not have great on-screen chemistry.
Share your thoughts especially about the ending and how excited you are about the last episode? Did you enjoy this special show?
Wow, simply wow. This was an absolutely brilliant episode of Alif yet again & yes, it once again ended at such a moment where I was actually looking forward to how the conversation was going to carry on. The editors played a good game for sure. I can already feel the next week is going to be long because waiting for the very next episode is not going to be easy. Alif is a masterpiece, no matter how many times I will say it, I feel it will not be an emphasis enough because scripts, stories & dramas like Alif are a rarity in Pakistani drama world & I truly feel lucky to be able to see a drama like this. Direction, acting, dialogues, emotions, expressions, every single aspect of this drama touches your heart & it actually takes you to another world. Alif is a feeling & a beautiful one at that!
Different Side of Taha’s Personality:
Everything I said about Taha Abdul Ala in the previous review made me feel I was a bit quick to draw conclusions about him because I liked the side of his personality that was shown in this episode. Although Taha was fighting his own demons, it was actually nice to see him trying his very best to be a good & doting father to Qalb e Momin. Taha was guilt-stricken, but he was not oblivious to the deprivation Qalb e Momin felt. Taha knew that his son was just being a child, he had his demands, his wants, his needs, he was just asking for things a child is entitled to, therefore he seemed keen enough to do something in order to meet Momin’s demands. While watching these scenes of young Qalb e Momin, my mind was automatically drawn to the famous & wealthy Momin who was proud of what he had earned. A child who came from a humble background with no financial stability, where he hardly saw his wishes getting fulfilled, when he reached the age where he was able to achieve so much in such a short span of time, it gave him the confidence to an extent of arrogance that he was capable of getting everything he would want in his life. The best thing about Alif & the backstory is that everything is related & while watching every scene, you can easily figure out the purpose of why certain scenario is being highlighted. Momin’s demands of cookies, chocolates & cycle made it very easy to understand the reason behind Momin’s arrogance when he became successful & started doing well financially.
The conversation between Husn e Jahan & Taha was heart-touching. It was good to see him confiding in his wife, it ensured that he was not trying to escape the life he had chosen for himself, rather he was trying to find the solutions. Taha knew that everything he was experiencing was because his father chose not to forgive him, which meant he did not hold his wife or son responsible for what he was going through. Another beautiful conversation was between Taha & Qalb e Momin where he metaphorically explained who Husn e Jahan & Qalb e Momin were. It was beautiful & just through that, Husn e Jahan once again got a reminder of the storm that Taha was dealing with which was slowly killing him inside.
Momina Connected The Dots:
Momina did not have a hard time connecting the dots. She also did not have a hard time seeing her father differently because she could feel, Sultan’s feelings for Husn e Jahan were more than what he had expressed till date. She also wanted to know whether it was love or guilt or something else which Sultan felt for her. Momina was not gullible to fall for Sultan’s half-baked truth, she wanted to know everything & this is why she decided to go ahead & sign the film. This is not just a project for Momina, it has made her curious & she wants to know everything about Husn e Jahan because Sultan chose to keep his secret.
Well, let me just say, it was nice to see Momina & Momin in one frame once again. The tables have surely turned & now Qalb e Momin sat there with humility, uncertainty & zero arrogance, whereas Momina was self-assured, she knew what she was getting into, confident & sorted. This difference in their attitude was brilliantly portrayed by both Hamza Ali Abbasi & Sajal Aly. Even before they met, Qalb e Momin found it hard to believe that Momina had agreed to do this movie, it was like he was relying on her name & kind of felt relieved that he won’t be facing financial restraints to go ahead with the movie because Momina was a brand of her own.
Momina wanted to know the truth but she knew it was not going to be easy to hear it from Momin. Momina saw him differently, she knew this was the story of his mother, the question in Momina’s eyes was so evident. She knew but she was unsure why he was hiding the truth. The deal that Qalb e Momin did not finalize was another brilliant moment of this episode. Mr. Khaliq was keen to get the paintings but then just listening to everything he had to say about the paintings & Abdul Ala’s art made Momin reconsider his decision. He wants finances for his movies more than ever, he is keen, he is eager but still, it showed that his love for his grandfather stands ahead of everything that he wishes for. It was nice to see Qalb e Momin in this light too, who wants to treasure his grandfather & cherish everything related to him more than ever before. Momina also got to see a different side of Qalb e Momin, while she sat there figuring out what was happening, she was stunned to see Abdul Ala’s paintings at Qalb e Momin’s place. Her demand to get the 7 paintings was something that neither Qalb e Momin nor I as a viewer saw coming & just when I wanted to see more, the episode ended, ah!
Beautiful Episode:
Overall, it was a beautiful episode of Alif. Simply beautiful. I am glad that the story has now come to a stage where both Qalb e Momin & Momina will be getting their answers. Qalb e Momin needs to learn more about his parents, especially his mother to let go of the grudge he holds against her & I can’t wait to see that happening in the episodes to come. Sajal Aly looked absolutely gorgeous when she walked into Qalb e Momin’s house for the meeting. Hamza Ali Abbasi has portrayed Momin’s restlessness & emotional turmoil to perfection. He is just not himself anymore after losing his grandfather & where in his professional life Momin is trying to get back to work, in his personal life he is shattered & slowly dealing with his pain of surviving without his only family that he had – Abdul Ala. Pehlaaj Hussain’s scenes are also a treat to watch, his innocence is endearing & the way he delivers his dialogue fills heart with so much warmth. He is a beautiful child. Ahsan Khan & Kubra Khan were right in their element as Taha & Husn e Jahan. Alif is a brilliantly directed drama, every single scene has so much to offer & has been curated with so much attention to detail that it not only completes the picture but makes everything look visually appealing as well. The preview of the next episode was promising & I can not wait. Please share your thoughts about this beautiful episode of Alif.

The Pakistani cricketer Waseem Akram has been married not once but twice. He first got married in 1995 with Huma Mufti and his first marriage ended due to the tragic death of his wife.
The couple was blessed with two sons, Tahmoor and Akbar. Wasim Akram took to Twitter and shared the quality time he spent with Tahmoor.
“Hanging with my handsome son in Australia and missing my other one who’s currently in America. Love you Tahmoor!!!! Ps, this is the first time I’ve managed to see my sons full face as a gust of wind blew his fringe away from the eye that it’s been covering for 4 years.”

Wasim Akram fell in love again with an Australian woman named Shaniera Thompson. The couple got engaged in July 2013, after which they decided to get married the next month. The couple had a baby daughter in December 2014 in Melbourne, whom they named Aiyla.
It’s essential to deliver what you promise. The promos of ‘Shahrukh ki Saaliyan’ aired last year in Ramadan that promised a wacko theme and unlimited laughter. As the sitcom started, we realized that Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi yet again delivered a project that was pretty serious about human emotions, at the same time, offering wholesome comic entertainment. Without throwing logic to the winds, without taxing our brains, and employing every trick in the book of rules to woo the viewers, 7th Sky Entertainment churned out a lovable sitcom that was enjoyable in every aspect.
It follows the story of a guy who can’t marry his love interest because she is the youngest sibling and cannot get married until her sisters find a suitable match.
The sitcom wrapped up with a finale that left us in awe of it. The last episode tied the loose ends together, finally giving Shahrukh (Ahsan Khan) and Anoushey (Ramsha Khan) the ticket to their wedding. Setup at a wedding banquet Nighar (Namra Shahid) refuses to marry Abbas-Mustan (Azfar Ali) and runs away to the airport to meet the love of her life Abu Bakr (Syed Arez Khan). Micky (Faiza Ali) expresses her passion for Glucose (Raza Zaidi). The significant havoc is created when multiple brides come to marry Shahrukh; an angry Anoushey takes the plunge and threatens to kill Shahrukh; they run; say Qabool Hai, and finally live happily ever after.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that each episode of the enterprise was so thoroughly entertaining, so thoroughly enjoyable that you wait with bated breath for the next event to unfold. The comical situations; the humor was the type that appealed to the common man instantly. The narrative by Dr. Younis Butt changed tracks gradually. With Mazhar Moin in the director’s seat and a compelling storyline on hand, you expect nothing but a qualitative product. And ‘Shahrukh ki Saaliyan’ was one, without any hiccups. The director succeeds on various levels, but more than anything else, he knows how to package an exciting story with superior performances and entertaining moments with aplomb.
‘Shahrukh ki Saaliyan’ was embellished with marvelous performances, and the best part is that the director cast actors who had a flair for comedy, their comic timing was fantastic. Ahsan Khan’s act was incredible, displaying his acting skills to the best. His versatility was more than evident – he acted like a buffoon when required, but breathed fire when the situation demands. (Masalabox) This is another performance that will fetch him laurels.
The other performance that stood out was that of Ramsha Khan, who was remarkable as Khan’s love interest. She looked ethereal and delivered a highly competent performance. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to state that the actor towers above one and all. Rehan Sheikh gave an astounding performance. Qavi Khan, like always, first-rate, essaying the role like a true veteran. Hina Bayat was superb. Jawed Sheikh, as usual, puts up an impressive show. Aruba Mirza, Syed Arez Khan, Raza Zaidi, Faiza Ali, Saba Faisal, and Namra Shahid shined bright in their respective parts.

As much as celebrities receive love, in the same manner, they are hated by their followers. It’s not easy being a celebrity especially being a female celeb in this patriarchal society.
Today marks the 65th death anniversary of Saadat Hassan Manto and to remember him Mahira Khan shared Saadat Hassan Manto’s piece of writing which is about gender equality.
According to Manto, a man is not criticized no matter how poor his character is but if a woman does something different from the roles assigned by a man she is considered a ‘whore’. He questions society if a man and a woman are equal then why only a woman is criticized?
Saadat Hassan Manto was a revolutionary writer and most of his works were considered taboo. He was banned many times. He chose the subjects which were forbidden to discuss at that time. Most of his characters were prostitutes. Manto has portrayed women as heroes of the nation.
Well, we can’t agree more with Manto’s piece of writing. Our society is one sick society where women are judged for their doings. Its high time women must be treated equally in every sphere of life.

Earlier this week, comedian Amanullah’s daughter had tweeted a picture of her father asking for prayers as he appeared rather ill.
Following the picture, rumors began circulating about Amanullah’s death which were picked up and published by a number of social media sites.
However, confirming that her father was very much alive and suffering from a bout of pneumonia only having difficulty in breathing, Amanullah’s daughter Zergoon took to her social media and posted a video about her father’s heath.
“My father is very much alive. The rumors about his lung failure and death are all fake. He is in the ICU because he has difficulty breathing due to pneumonia but will be shifted to a room soon.” said Zergoon.
Zergoon further added that people should refrain from spreading fake news and at least confirm before posting such fake news and causing pain and heartbreak to the family.
Hum TV’s drama Yeh Dil Mera has been garnering some top ratings for Wednesday on the channel. Written by veteran writer Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Aehsun Talish, Yeh Dil Mera stars Adnan Siddiqui, Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir in the lead roles. Part of the appeal of the drama is the Sahad couple being romantic leads in the drama after having announced their engagement and the rest of the credit goes to writer Farhat Ishtiaq for having penned a romantic thriller so well.
However, it seems, the writer isn’t really happy with the direction and nor is the audience as a number of them have been left confused after some scenes have flown by without proper flashbacks or linking.
In response to a tweet from a viewer, Farhat Ishtiaq had earlier mentioned that there had been some problems with editing and direction in the drama.
In another tweet while replying to the same thread, Farhat Ishtiaq also mentioned that a particular scene could have been shot better in line with the script so as to not confuse the viewers.
This tweet of the veteran writer leaves us in confusion; are writers not consulted when their scripts are being directed into films or dramas. We recently heard Khalil ur Rehman Qamar stating that he never allowed directors to change scenes in his scripts so why can’t all writers do this? Why do directors not pay attention to minor details that link stories in scripts?
What do you have to say about the confusion that the missing links in Yeh Dil Mera that have been caused by problematic direction and editing? Leave your views in the comments below.

People who know Katrina, know that she prefers her own space and small circle of friends rather than being a party animal. Having been said so, imagine of her house being the private space of the diva? The imagination itself is amazing.

Veteran actor Firdous Jamal was in news last year for his undignified comments about superstar Mahira Khan. He appeared in a morning show where he age-shamed Mahira Khan.
“I am sorry to say that Mahira is not heroine stuff,” he said blatantly. He adding that she is a mediocre sort of a model. She is not a good actress and not a heroine. She is old; one doesn’t play a heroine at this age but rather the role of a mother.”
Many fans and celebrities came out and supported Mahira Khan. They tweeted against Firdous Jamal for degrading and age-shaming her.
Well, in a recent interview Firdous Jamal has finally explained the reason behind calling Mahira Khan ‘a mediocre actress’.
He clarified and said, “Nobody sees things technically and when I talk about things technically people mind it. However, I don’t have a personal grudge with anyone. I have never met that woman and I don’t even know her. I just know she lives in Karachi. I have never worked with her and I have not met her one to one. Somebody randomly asked me about her and I said yes she is a star but not an actress. She is a good model though.”
He explained the reason behind all this was because Mahira is basically a model. She belongs to modeling that’s why in her acting the modeling techniques are visible. Models tend to be very conscious about how they look because it is their job to look good in every frame. He also said Mahira is a model and that’s why in her acting there is a self-projection, not self-negation.
Do you agree or disagree with Firdous Jamal’s explanation? Let us know in the comments section.
Ohkay so, after a million flashbacks & gazillion commercial breaks, this dumber, oh I mean this bumper episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb marked the end of the drama. There was absolutely nothing in this episode that required them to cover it in double episodes. If they had edited out the flashbacks & had not tried the last time to memorize the entire drama to the viewers, which they already do, this drama could’ve easily ended in a single episode & also had made a bit of an impact. I will not mince my words & just straight out say that the very last episode of this drama was a torture to tune to. They had the very last chance to redeem themselves but it was an opportunity wasted. As much as I do appreciate the fact that it has met a happy ending, the way they took the story to that point was pointless, senseless & absolutely unnecessary. I guess the director & the editors themselves were so much in love with this drama that they wanted to see it all for the last time in this last episode, that is why they decided to add so many flashbacks which did the viewers absolutely no favor. It was like in a pool of flashbacks, there was a bit of story hidden which the viewers had to figure & find out like a riddle.
Few Developments In a Pool of Flashbacks:
Despite the fact that the drama makers had all the time on their hands to give this drama a proper ending, it still seemed abrupt where everyone was finding about everything & they were conveying it to everyone. Saleem got to know about Sameer’s statement that he gave to the police, so he informed his tundi family. Also, Akbar found out what Sameer had done for Gauhar & that he wanted her to leave. Instead of flashbacks, it would’ve been nice if they had actually shot some of the scenes which were necessary like Sameer’s conversation with Akbar.
This episode had two important scenarios to it, the first one being Sameer testifying that he killed Zoya. It was good that Gauhar also spoke to Zoya’s sister & her stance was made clear that she was not going to forgive Sameer but she did understand that his mental condition played a part in what happened with her sister. This had to be covered & it was good that they further elaborated it in the form of a court case & the verdict. Good job!
One of the worst developments in this episode were not only of Sabeeha’s suicide but the fact that she once again left a question mark upon the fact whether Sameer was Shakira’s son or Surraya’s? Like seriously? Just when they had pretty much clarified it by showing a wheelchair ridden lady & Akbar convincing Sameer that she was his mother, along with the fact that Sameer also believed him, they had to confuse the viewers further but honestly, at this point I will just say it doesn’t even matter. It would have mattered if the last episode in general had made an impact but at this point I am just too relieved that it has ended to be thinking about it. I think Rajab Ali must’ve taken Shakira’s child away & never came back. Sameer was actually Surraya’s son, therefore Shakira avenged the supposed death of her child by ruining Ehsan’s son’s mind & personality. Sabeeha’s letter also unveiled Ehsan’s reality in front of Sameer. Probably that was the only purpose it served because so far, Sameer did not really know much about his father Ehsan & the kind of man he was, so Sabeeha let him know. It is upsetting that when they had a perfect chance to clarify everything & just end everything by giving viewers clear cut answers, they chose to make it ambiguous, anyways!
Saleem’s regret, Jahangir’s imprisonment – none of these scenarios were important & didn’t make much of a difference because as a viewer, I was already done with these characters, therefore there was no need to show these two. Once again, the focus on flashbacks & unnecessary scenarios made the last episode lose its impact. If they had edited out all the flashbacks & had just given us a clear cut ending focusing on the current scenarios in everyone’s lives, it would’ve ended the drama on a very high note. The strategy that the director & the editors opted for didn’t really do much & no lies, I actually have a headache listening to the loud OST!
Donia & Kashif’s scenario was tackled decently. However, I still fail to understand why was Donia so shattered upon learning that Gauhar was the girl Kashif was in love with. She knew all along that he used to love someone & was probably in love with her till date, so why did she make such an issue when she found out that it was Gauhar. Donia got a clarification she needed to trust Kashif, not that she deserved one. Gauhar was fully focused on Sameer even before she got married to him & after their marriage, she fell in love with him too which was obvious, so the least Donia could’ve done is not insult Gauhar’s intelligence as well as her loyalty towards her husband, thinking she was cheating on him with her ex. May be things were meant to be this way because it was a done deal that Donia was in love with Kashif & he was not, but there was absolutely no chemistry between Sami Khan & Zarnish Khan. However, they both did their best & gave these characters the best treatment they could. Sad that Kashif’s character didn’t have much to offer but Donia was a decent character, until she became a victim of self-imposed pity!
The Highlight of The Drama:
The final & the best development of this episode; Sameer & Gauhar’s reunion. However, before that happened, it was a huge mistake on the director’s part to shoot Sameer being in jail when the court had already given a verdict that they were releasing him, so why was Sameer still sulking in jail? Anyways, the last scene was iconic & definitely sweet. The poetry was beautiful & it was nice to Sameer in a totally different avatar. A new person, humbled, grounded, someone with a completely different outlook on life, ready for a new beginning. Gauhar was calm & composed like she always was. She had this aura that she had been through a lot but had come to terms with everything & now she could deal with anything that came her way. Gauhar & Sameer’s love story was beautiful. I would’ve liked if instead of showing Shakira & her close-ups, they had shown more of their relationship in the previous episodes because it was special and one of a kind. It was nice to see Gauhar being so selflessly in love with Sameer & Sameer, despite his complexes & fears learnt that someone could love him like that. Zahid Ahmed & Sonya Hussyn looked absolutely beautiful together in the last frame & I think that is the moment that I will keep with me, the rest, the less said the better.
Ishq Zahe Naseeb definitely could’ve been a ground-breaking drama with unique story, brilliant & powerful performances, IF the producers had not decided to stretch it & bring all those changes that they did because it was too obvious that the drama & the story lost its track & charm the moment they took that decision. Although, I do not follow any news about the dramas due to the fear of spoiler alerts but just when I could feel they had made those changes, I was notified by the lovely readers that I was not wrong because they actually did. Adding Shakira’s story & dragging it, unnecessarily long flashbacks, giving more screen time to unimportant characters, not giving enough screen time to the important ones, treating Gauhar’s character as an afterthought & just confusing the viewers with one riddle after another with no definite answer in sight made Ishq Zahe Naseeb lose its charm. It is sad that the drama which could’ve made to the list of best dramas will definitely not score a spot there because of the way it was treated.
Zahid Ahmed; The Star of The Show:
Zahid Ahmed hands down is the star of this show. If it wasn’t for his brilliant acting & phenomenal portrayal of Sameer’s character, this drama would not have received an iota of the viewership because of the way it was tackled in the second half of the drama. Yumna Zaidi was good too but it isn’t her mistake that the director made us hate Shakira’s character by showing her close ups all the time. Sonya Hussyn also did a fairly decent job as Gauhar, she was phenomenal in some of the scenes for sure. Sami Khan & Zarnish Khan also should be proud of themselves for doing justice to these characters. Zahid Ahmed should take a bow for giving the best performance of his career till date & we can only imagine how high his graph is going to go henceforth. Hashim Nadeem really did a fantastic job in exploring this domain & writing on this subject but I honestly feel for him because all the changes that were made were definitely not in his control. This is where the producers go wrong when they get rating-hungry. The director did his part well in the initial episodes where he created the mysterious vibe & played with that element but then everything went downhill quickly. It is unfortunate that the drama which deserved nothing but appreciation was heavily compromised upon. Poor direction and worst editing made this drama lose its charm. and flashbacks are a whole new story. I am glad that the 25 weeks of flashbacks & probably 6 weeks of story has finally come to an end. Also, I think it was a huge mistake on Sonya Hussyn’s part to share the BTS of last scene of Gauhar & Sameer on her Instastories. This is something that I have heard she had done, which I think was the biggest spoiler alert & she should’ve been careful! Anyways, please share your thoughts about the final episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb, if you’re still awake after 2 hours of dumber, oh I mean bumper episode because like they reinforced throughout the drama; ‘ai re ai, nindiya ai’.
Keep Supporting,
Cheers, Zahra Mirza.
Ps: Thank you all the lovely readers for keeping the discussions alive on Ishq Zahe Naseeb’s thread. Also, I am now going to binge-watch Yeh Dil Mera & will start reviewing it ASAP. :)
Popular drama serial Ishq Zahe Nasseb which revolves around the story of a young businessman suffering from a split personality disorder. The star-studded cast of the drama includes; Zahid Ahmed, Sonya Hussain, Sami Khan, Yumna Zaidi, and Zarnish Khan.
Zahid Ahmed has impressed the audiences with his portrayal of a man with a split personality disorder. The role was very challenging and definitely one of a kind, so he completely did justice in depicting his character.
