Pakistan has currently been struck with the unfortunate and massive flash flood, which has created a havoc in the country. The flood has destroyed major parts of Sindh & Balochistan completely. The infrastructure of almost 60% of the country has gone. Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have been facing difficulties after flood. Many people have lost their lives, many are homeless, many have lost goods and their cattles. Pakistanis mourn this ongoing huge loss.
Amidst this unrest and devastation, a few of the actors have been spotted making efforts for the flood affectees and the flood stricken areas. They are collecting and dispatching goods and funds. AHSAN KHAN:
Another talented and popular actor. Ahsan Khan was also born in 1981 in London, United Kingdom. He started his acting career from the film “Ghar Kab Ao Agey” at a very young age and then gradually he had made his mark on television. Besides acting he can do hosting as well.
ARIJ FATYMA:
Arij Fatyma real name Aribah Fatima was born in 1989 in North Carolina, United States of America. She was raised in USA until her family returned to Karachi, Pakistan in 2005. She completed her secondary education from Karachi, Pakistan. Arij started her career as a Model and then finally entered in acting field in 2012. Within a short span of time Arij had proven herself a very talented actress.
SANAM SAEED:
Another British Born actress. She was born on feb 2 in 1985 in London, United Kingdom. However at a very young age her family moved to Karachi, Pakistan. She did her O’Levels from Bay view high school and A-Levels from L’Ecole College, Karachi. She started her career as a VJ and made a debut in acting 2010 from a popular drama DAAM in a negative role. She had also worked for Coke Studio in Season 3 as a background vocalist.
AAMINAH SHEIKH:
Another famous and veteran actress. She was born in New York City, USA but was raised in Karachi and Riyadh. She had done her O-Levels from Karachi and A-Levels from Riyadh. She started her career in early 2000 in Pakistan Entertainment Industry, she had directed a show “bachay mann ke sachay” in which Mohib Mirza was host. She began her acting career from 2007 and is now a successful actress.
MAHNOOR BALOCH:
She was born in United States although her age is still unknown :-D. She is also a Canadian citizen. Mahnoor started her acting career from a drama marvi in 1993 as a supporting role. She is still considered in amongst most beautiful actresses of Pakistan yes obviously the Botox had worked fine on her :-D.
HINA SULTAN:
She is a new entry in drama industy. She was born in Jeddah SAUDIA ARAB, however her family moved to Lahore, Pakistan when she was young. She had studied computer science and mass communication from University of Central Punjab and Kinnaird College. Currently she is doing a short supporting role in drama “Ranjeesh Hi Sahi”. A famous irritating actress from drama “Aasmano pe Likha”. She was also born in Jeddah Saudia Arab in August 1991. She is also a graduate from University of Central Punjab.

ARMEENA RANA KHAN:
She is a Canadian Film Actress who was born and brought up in Canada. She works for both South Asian and European Projects. She is a Pakistani Originate but I had really no Idea why because her father was from Rajasthan India and her mother is Iranian and Pashtun descent. She holds a degree from UK University in Manchester. She will appear in upcoming project “Bin Roye Aansu”.

FAWAD AFZAL KHAN:

Pakistani Bella, she was born in 1989 in Karachi but mostly brought up in Singapore. She is graduated from McGill University Canada. She became popular from a short college based drama “Dreamers”.

A living Legend of Pakistan Film Industry and a truly respectable actor, writer and director. He was born in April 1971 in Lahore, Pakistan. He has been banned by PEMRA time and again and he never pays heed to any of it. Just recently, his program on Bol channel where he called religious activism as blasphemy turned up a huge storm of criticism. This man is popular for reasons unbeknownst to mankind. There is nothing likeable about the way he talks, sings, hosts or dances, but this is serving him quite well. Every few months, he does something so absurd that it remains viral for many days afterwards. I think producers and directors also cash in on his controversies, which is why they keep on casting him. The self proclaimed Shahrukh Khan of Lollywood is a master of gaining popularity by being outrageous.
3. Meera
This woman has been the reigning queen of controversy since the time she stepped into the industry. And I do not believe it is unintentional, since anyone with a quarter of her wealth could have gone to a finishing school or somewhere, to learn how and what to speak. But, I think she is well aware of the immense popularity publicity this brings her way.
4. Tahir Shah
Well, what can you say about someone who deliberately creates, composes, sings and acts in songs like Eye To Eye and Mankind Angels and then peers from behind his curly long locks to let you know that he is spreading the message of love and peace. It is not hard to get what he is trying to achieve so determinedly and he is quite there already. There can only be one Tahir Shah in this world.
5. Waqar Zaka
For someone who planted his foot in the industry by giving dares to people to prove they are capable of living on the edge, he is not the one to follow any social rules or norms and sometimes basic mannerisms as well. Nimra Khan had her accident back in 2016 . The actress was driving back from a shoot at night and suffered an accident after her BP shot very low. Nimra was wheelchair bound for a year before she could walk independently.
Ayesha Omar
Ayesha Omar got into a serious accident on the highway back in 2015. The car she was traveling was completely destroyed. Ayesha Omar suffered several serious injuries, also a blow to her collarbone which split in two. As a result of the accident, Ayesha’s one hand hangs longer than the other.
Azfar Rehman
Azfar Rehman was travelling alongside Ayesha Omar when the car crash occurred. Miraculously Azfar was unscathed in the accident and only suffered minor injuries. Azfar and Ayesha had been traveling from Karachi ty Hyderabad when the accident occurred.
Juvaria Abbasi
Javeria Abbasi had a terrible car accident in the early 2000s. The actress suffered several injuries and had to undergo surgery for the broken bones. Juvaria still has the scars of her accident, which she wears as a prize.
Hareem Farooq
Actress Hareem Farooq met with an accident while in Lahore some time back. In a number of interviews, Hareem Farooq has reportedly said that she began her journey to weight loss and a healthy lifestyle after her accident and the recovery phase.
Moomal Khalid
Actress Moomal Khalid was travelling with her fiance Shahzaib Magsi when her car met with a fatal accident. Reportedly the car collided with another vehicle. Moomal suffered several serious injuries while her fiance passed away in the terrible accident.
Humayun Saeed
Humayun Saeed suffered a serious accident in Thailand while he was on a hunt for locations in the country. Saeed’s accident occured back in 2014 and as his car was hit by a double-decker approaching at full throttle.
Babar Khan
Babar alongside his wife Sana, met with a horrible car accident back in 2014. The couple had gotten married 4 months before the accident. Babar sustained serious injuries while his wife Sana, also an actress, passed away on the spot.
All those people out there who work can relate to those days when you are so tired that you just want to doze off at the workplace. While most people have calculated working hours and don’t have the option to do so, Pakistani celebrities have such hectic routine and odd working hours that very often they do not even get the time to get proper sleep when they are busy shooting for a project. Most of the shootings are done at night time and the working hours can sometimes be longer than anticipated. Pakistani celebrities like other celebrities in the world work hard to get their projects wrapped up on time which is why there are a lot of celebrities who end up taking a nap on the sets of their shoots. Another reason for this is that they have to wait for long hours for their turn, so it gives them enough free time to take a power nap. Many celebrities have often talked about how important these naps are for them and they have also shared how this sleep deprivation can sometimes lead to sleeping in the most odd of moments and places.

Mahira Khan posted her picture on social media few years back in which she took a power nap while getting her make-up done. She was so tired that when she closed her eyes to get her make-up done, she actually dozed off for a while. Even such moments of dozing off for a few minutes sometimes give her the energy she needs in order to revitalize herself.
Mahira Khan’s make-up artist Babar Zaheer, who is also her good friend, made this video of her while she took a power nap during the promotions of Superstar. Making a film and then promoting it on different forums can be exhausting which is why even though Mahira Khan was in the middle of these promotions, she slept on the couch. Mahira Khan’s co-workers also call her Mazdoor Khan because once she starts working on a project, she works really hard and would do anything at all that needs to be done in order to assist her team.
Whoever took this picture certainly gave Sajal Ali’s fans a really cute picture of hers to fall in love with. Sajal Ali posted this picture of her sleeping on the sets with the caption “mission accomplished. Now my sleep will be revived.” This has to be the cutest picture of any celebrity sleeping during a shoot. Even though Sajal is wearing a heavily embroidered dress but that did not stop her from catching up on her sleep by taking a much-needed power nap.
Hira Mani’s secret to success
Hira Mani posted this picture last month from the sets of her upcoming play. The caption with this picture was “achi performance se perhle eik power nap zakhti zaroori hoti hei.” So, now we know the secret behind Hira Mani’s good performances, the naps she takes in between her scenes. In a recent interview Hira Mani also told the host that she does not require a lot of sleep to function well. She said that she is completely capable of sleeping anywhere at all for a little while and these power naps give her a lot of energy. This picture was taken by Hira Mani’s stylist who thought that she looked really cute so this moment needed to be captured.
Mehwish Hayat and director Nadeem Baig on the sets of Dillagi
Dillagi was one of the most popular and liked drama serials in which Mehwish Hayat played the lead and Nadeem Baig directed it. Mehwish Hayat and the team worked day and night to complete this project in time. Shooting in a cold weather can sometimes be even more tiring than shooting in summers. Mehwish Hayat posted this picture from the sets of Dillagi which was taken by Humayun Saeed. Nadeem Baig and Mehwish Hayat both dozed off while the next scene was getting ready. This picture says a great deal about how sleep deprived these celebrities can be at times and how much hard work goes into making the dramas. Mehwish Hayat wrote that she was sure that these long working hours and sleepless night will eventually pay off. This picture was taken while they were shooting in Hyderabad. Humayun Saeed in his interviews very often praised Mehwish Hayat for her stamina and her ability to go on working without any breaks. It looks like these power naps must help Mehwish Hayat a lot.

Noor Khan is snuggling comfortably on a sofa and only someone who is in dire need of a nap can sleep like this. Mawra Hocane’s Cape Town shooting days
When Mawra Hocane was busy shooting for Na Maloom Afraad 2 she posted many pictures in which she was either sleeping on sets or had a swollen face because of lack of sleep. Mawra Hocane posted this picture and wrote, “I’m trying to find my way back, there’s no day off for Heroes. And even when I am tired, “go” is the only word I know!! It’s on again!!!” Mawra Hocane also posted that she had already been working for 22 hours and still the shooting had not ended yet she felt so good about it because she loved her work.

Today, Pakistanis are celebrating Independence day with great enthusiasm, zeal and zest. Pakistan came into being on the 14th of August 1947 under the great leadership of Pakistani leader and founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This year marks Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day. Independence Day celebrations began at midnight, with multiple buildings lit up with lights. The flags were hoisted on the buildings, houses and streets.
