Pakistani comedy movie titled as “Abhinandan Come On” is going to release soon.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar broke the news of making a Pakistani comedy film. The film will be named as “Abhinandan Come On”. Actor Shamoon Abbasi will be playing the role of wing commander Abhinandan in it.
The movie will be released before the release of movie Kaaf Kangana.
Abhinandan is an Indian fighter pilot . Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan, who was captured by Pakistan after his MiG 21 Bison aircraft was shot down by a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jet . He had remained in Pakistani military’s custody for 60 hours. He was eventually released as a “goodwill gesture” by the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to India at the Wagah border late Friday.
After this whole, Pakistanis didn’t stop. They mocked him and made ads and memes.
Famous Actor Nouman Ijaz appeared in Iffat Omar’s show, say it all, where he talked about drama industry in detailed. These two episodes covered some of the most important developments. Episode 10 was more interesting and engaging than the latest episode. This drama has a lot of characters, many tracks and there are times when you feel that the writer has not been able to do justice to all of them. Having said that, there are enough tracks and characters to keep you entertained. All these characters and their stories are interesting but the screenplay isn’t really impressive. In this latest episode, I was hoping to see more of Gaiti Ara than the other families but this episode focused on almost all the characters. Sandal finally made an appearance in this episode and although the director introduced her character in the most inquisitive way possible but Sandal it seems has not changed at all and Hira Soomro’s performance was strictly okay. Almas’ reaction was not shown in this latest episode which was definitely a big disappointment since she was the one who had the last conversation with Khayyam which convinced him that he needed to run away. And of course also because, she loved Khayyam and his running away from home would affect her just as much as it affected Gaiti.
Khayyam’s Inner Conflict
I must say that Khayyam’s inner conflict and the reasons why he finally decided to run away was shown extremely convincingly. Most of us were expecting either Gaiti or Almas to elope with Khayyam but in the end Khayyam made a decision which was truly shocking. This was an interesting and unexpected twist in the story which was covered really well. Right from the start Khayyam’s hatred for the place which had been his home and the people who had raised him was highlighted more than anything else. Even then he wanted to marry Gaiti because he believed that they could start a new life away from this place but eventually he realized that if he got married to someone who belonged to this family, this area then he will never be able to break free from his past. As a result of all this, he decided to run away so that he could start a new life.
The fact that Khayyam took all the jewelry with him went to show how selfish he was – a personality trait which had been well established in the past few weeks. He never hesitated asking his nanni for money in the past too but didn’t give her credit either. He also didn’t have any respect for her naani or khala who had raised and educated him. Khayyam’s characterization and Shehroz Sabzwari’s performance was the most interesting part of these two episodes.
The Journeys
Apart from Khayyam, Nagina is the reason why I tune into this show. Nausheen Shah is absolutely phenomenal as the ‘average’ member of an otherwise talented family who has worked hard to keep it all together. Nausheen Shah’s performance is the reason why you can’t help but feel every little thing Nagina goes through – she makes Nagina’s struggles and her strengths come alive on screen. What makes Nagina’s character more appealing is the fact that she is not seedhi sadhi, she is quite capable of being mean, which makes her character human.
Izhar and Islam’s families just like many other characters of this show have remained the same throughout just like Sitara and Dildar’s families. Izhar’s family is amusing – they are the perfect representation of people who get rich but don’t have class. Saleem Mairaj’s performance has been on point but Shaheen Khan’s dialogue delivery yet again leaves a lot to be desired, why does she shout in most of the dramas?
Gaiti Ara’s character is quite plain and Sarah Khan’s make-up especially looked quite odd in the scenes covering the aftermath of the betrayal by Khayyam. Sarah Khan looked beautiful in episode 10 and her overall look went well with what her character was going through. She is convincing as the innocent Gaiti Ara but the character itself doesn’t have a lot to offer. Sarah Elahi on the other hand has been giving a really solid performance and Almas’ character is more appealing even though she is not a ‘nice girl’.
New Characters
Salar’s character didn’t get a lot of screen time but his scenes were interesting, they piqued my curiosity since his dialogues suggested that he had been through a lot too. Salar seems like an intelligent young man who has an approach towards life which is completely different from that of Khayyam’s. Sandal’s character was finally introduced in this latest episode and apparently she has not changed at all – she is like the female version of Khayyam. Hira Soomro’s performance wasn’t impressive in this episode and I must say that her character should have been introduced before because it wasn’t really worth the wait.
Final Remarks
Deewar-e-Shab is turning out to be an entertaining play. Even though, it has a lot of characters and the screenplay isn’t perfect but some of the characters and the script overall is interesting. Some of the actors have played their roles really well and few of the not-so-nice characters make this drama even more appealing. The story so far has been unpredictable and the fast pace of the drama makes it more enjoyable. The preview of the next episode was very exciting – looking forward to it already.

The position of the movies on box office on the end of second week showed that the movies were started in buzz of Eid ul Azha and were expected to do much business as every year Nabeel Qureshi and Humayun Saeed used to do business on same eid but these films altogether could only manage to earn 38 crore on 11th day which is less than Humayun Saeed and Nabeel ‘s production, that clearly shows that on eid two movies are enough to be released and after twenty to thirty days is the good time for another movie to release like Ali Zafar released Teefa in trouble after a month of Eid ul Azha which actually proved his strategy as game changer, he alone collected 50 crore in pakistan but it is fact that Teefa in trouble was outstanding in terms of Screenplay, cinematography, cast, music and acting but still his move of releasing movie late was right.

Tonight’s episode of Meray Pass Tum Ho introduced another major character in the story and it also revealed a little bit more about the other characters. So far, the focus has been entirely on the leading characters and what seems somewhat odd is that so far we don’t know much about the background of these characters. Apart from everything which Danish has shared about his father, the writer has not revealed much about the families of these characters which makes it difficult to relate to their situations at times.
We found out in this episode that Danish and Mehwish were madly in love even before they got married and Mehwish was expecting more from Danish. Mostly, when leading characters are introduced, their families are also shown but this second episode of Meray Pass Tum Ho was a lot like the first one which left a lot of room for speculations. The only surprising aspect of this episode was everything which was revealed about Anoushey’s character, other than that everything else went as expected.
The Trade-off
Danish decided to make a really difficult trade-off in the previous episode when he chose to go against everything his father had taught him to please his wife. The trade-off he made turned out to be quite lucrative since the department he was in (like most of the government departments) entertained officers who chose to ‘cooperate’ with the bigwigs more than an honest person. Danish’s attitude clearly showed that he ‘loved’ his wife enough to do something which was clearly against everything he had ever believed in, ‘abba ko laat marna’ dialogue pretty much summed up what this trade-off meant to him. Danish however was quite happy with this decision since this was the only way to please his wife. Danish’s becharapan and his bholapan was further elaborated by showing how Mehwish was not home when he came with the gift. From this episode and the promo of the next one, it was quite evident that Danish will be the ‘victim’ in this story and Mehwish is going to be the one who will be responsible for everything he does wrong.
Mehwish’s character comes across as more immature than anything else since she isn’t entirely careless but then she went away for the entire day and did not even message her husband. She is greedy and materialistic enough to ‘compromise’ on values and principles. She is more ‘flexible’ and ‘open-minded’ than her husband. At the mehndi, she was okay with drinking and she gave Shahwar an inquisitive glance when Anoushey was telling her all about him. Shahwar was attracted to Mehwish right away and the way Danish sensed that was the most interesting and relatable aspect of this episode.
The Modern Friend
Anoushey, it seems is going to be a ‘bad influence’ on Mehwish. Anoushey is rich but definitely not classy. The way she looked at Mehwish when she wanted to keep her jewelry bag with her was condescending. This made me wonder why Danish didn’t know just how modern she was or that she was divorced. Although Danish and Mehwish have been married for a few years but conversations like the ones they had on the mehndi make it look like, they are just getting to know each other and the people associated with them.
Final Remarks
Tonight’s episode didn’t have anything grand to offer, the story so far is pretty simple and there is nothing new about it. Nadeem Baig’s direction in this episode was more impressive than Khalil-ur-Rehman’s script. Ayeza Khan gave a solid performance and Adnan Siddiqui’s acting was also effortless in this episode. Ayeza Khan and Humayun Saeed share great on-screen chemistry because of which even though the script leaves you confused at times, these two are convincing in their respective roles. I absolutely love the child star playing their son’s role.
Mehwish is a very attractive woman and her husband knows that. Danish’s dialogues about not wanting to use things which have been in someone’s use already showed how possessive he was about his wife. This was his way of telling the neighbor off who was clearly more interested in Mehwish. This episode also ended too quickly and it basically covered one more day in Danish and Mehwish’s life. When Hira Mani said that Danish was the actual ‘heroine’ of this drama, I didn’t quite get what she meant but after watching these two episodes I am pretty sure now that Danish is going to be the male version of the bechari aurat who doesn’t get the love and respect she deserves from her spouse. The story is predictable but I am waiting to see how it’s covered.

Regrets of passing on something is a feeling that we are familiar with and actors are no exception to it. There have been many instances of actors opting out of projects either due to prior commitments or any other reason.
During an interview at The Munshi Show, Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman talked about their regrets of passing on two blockbuster films of the recent times.
Ali Rehman was asked whether or not he regrets doing fewer television serials than films as TV is a bigger medium in Pakistan. He replied by saying that he only has one regret and that is not being able to do Cake when it was offered to him. He was busy doing Parchi at that time. He said that he does regret passing it on but not that much.
Hareem Farooq said that she wishes she could have done Laal Kabootar. It was a beautiful film but she could not do it because she was busy with the promotion of Parchi.
Well, regrets are a part of life and the duo is happy with the way their careers have shaped up and proudly own every project that they have done.

Few days ago, there were rumors about Hamza Ali Abassi’s nikkah with Naimal Khawar. Later on, Hamza confirmed this news of him getting nikkahfied on 25th August in a small function. The nikkah will be followed by a Valima ceremony on 26th August.

She said to Shahrukh khan you have all the rights to be patriotic and loyal but don’t do it at the cost of vilifying us, it is great that Mehwish has taken up this responsibility of diverting attention of the world on this hateful nature of Indian celebrities because she is noticeable, her voice is strong and heard loud and clear. One example of her loud and clear voice was, being heard in Oslo, Norway where she was awarded their national award and soon after that she was called by multiple international channels and was asked about brutalities of Indians on Kashmir.

Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali will be playing the lead in the upcoming web series titled “Dhoop Ki Dewar”. The script for this web series has been written by the renowned writer Umera Ahmed and it has been directed by the award-winning director Haseeb Hassan. Haseeb Hassan, who is also the producer of this web series, told The News,
“Initially we thought to have Indian actors on board too but considering the present scenario in India, we dropped the idea.”
The subject of this web series is more relevant today than it ever was since it will cover the impact of war on both sides of the border. The script will cover India and Pakistan ties, how the wars and conflict between the two countries results in the loss of lives of personnel of the armed forces. This affects the entire community and most importantly the family members.
While talking to Instep, the producer and director of the web series Haseeb Hassan shared,
“Dhoop Ki Deewar is not a love story: it is a love-hate story based on the love-hate relationship between people of India and Pakistan. That’s the only way we can write and read a love story between these two people…that’s what almost 70 years of unending hatred does to people and their sensibilities. And the most difficult thing for a writer in the subcontinent is to write an Indo-Pak love story.”
Samiya Mumtaz, Zaib Rehman, Manzar Sehbai and Samina Ahmed will be playing important supporting characters in the web series. Adnan Jaffer, Zara Tareen, Paras Masroor, Hammad Siddiqui, Ainy Zaidi, Salma Hasan, Lubna Aslam and Raza Talish will also be playing important roles in the project.
The project is being undertaken with the support of ISPR. Haseeb Hassan also revealed that this is the kind of project which will have International reach and audience. This is surely something to look forward to.
