Osman Khalid Butt’s character Shahzain killed his horse in last night’s episode of Ehd E Wafa. Yes, you read it right. He simply had his horse blind folded and shot it at point blank range.
Whatever his reasons, fans are simply not having it and most of them have been calling out OKB for promoting animal abuse on television.
No matter, how many justifications OKB gives, and he has been giving a lot of them on his social media, Twitter is having a field day trolling the actor for simply enacting a scene from the hit English series, Peaky Blinders. And one thing that needs to be pointed out here is the fact, while Shahzain in Ehd-e-Wafa was just spiteful and not thinking rationally, finding a way to vent out, Tommy in Peaky Blinders, killed his horse to put his ‘mad horse’ out of its misery and later even cried for it.
The memes however, trolling Ehd E Wafa and OKB on social media are hilarious, check them out for yourself here:

The Candid Cuteness
Instagram vs Reality pictures are a real deal in the celebrities. They always take a moment to show how they pose for Instagram while also sharing a behind-the-scenes of what they had to go through to get that one perfect picture. This photo of Aiman Muneeb is exactly like that but it is actually very cute because it is a candid shot. It is evident from this picture that they both were trying to strike a pose to get a perfect couple picture but they cracked up on a joke and couldn’t stop laughing.
The Birthday Picture
This seems like a mandatory couple picture but their smiles are cheeky and again it is evident that they were posing hard to get a perfect picture. Their expressions are cute and what makes it better is that they both look extremely happy while posing for a picture.
The Cheek(y) Moment
Muneeb can not stop playing with Aiman’s face and it is quite obvious that he is having a good time looking at how cute Aiman is looking while trying to stop him from ruining her picture. Aiman seems to have been in a mood to get a proper photograph but Muneeb decided to have a funny take on it.
Love Hidden in Plain Sight
This might just seem like a touristy picture of Muneeb Butt posing in front of the London Eye, but Aiman’s caption showed that it had a very different meaning to it. When looked closely, Muneeb Butt is actually showing off Aiman’s name on his wrist which he got written in Chinese symbols. This was a cute way of Muneeb to let Aiman know that he was missing her when he was not with her in Pakistan.
All Smiles
This is another picture of Aiman and Muneeb which went from being posed to completely candid and it sure is going to bring a smile to your face. They are perfectly in the frame but they are having a hearty laugh which is contagious and makes this picture absolutely cute.
The Couple Name
Aiman went to Northern areas of Pakistan before her marriage to Muneeb. This was her bachelorette trip with her family before she got married. While Aiman continued to share the pictures with her sister Minal, having the time of her life, she then shared this picture which showed that she not only missed Muneeb, but he was in her thoughts all the time. Aiman picked up a beautiful stone and wrote her and Muneeb’s name on it, followed by the date the picture was captured. The little heart is a cute detail as well.
Newlywed Tourists
Aiman and Muneeb went on a trip across Europe on their honeymoon. They continued to share the pictures of their adventures with their fans. While Aiman and Muneeb enjoyed being tourists in Europe, they didn’t hold back in sharing that they were totally in love.
Dancing in Vienna
Muneeb and Aiman posted a lot of couple pictures from their honeymoon but this one happens to be one of the best pictures. It shows them as two young and free souls, in love, married, dancing, soaking up the beauty of Europe and enjoying the romance in the air.
First Eid as a Couple
Muneeb Butt is always very expressive and he loves to share what is running on his mind. Muneeb has always celebrated Aiman’s presence in his life, that is why on the festive occasion of Eid, he made sure to let everyone know that this Eid was super special for him because he was celebrating it with Aiman as his wife. Their smiles and happiness is radiating through the picture.
Picture Perfect
It did take a while for Aiman and Muneeb to show their daughter Amal Muneeb’s picture to their fans. They also kept the pregnancy a secret until Aiman’s baby shower confirmed the news. However, that is all in the past and what matters the most is that Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt have welcomed their precious little first born Amal Muneeb in their lives on August 30, 2019. This picture speaks for itself, it is filled with love, joy and sheer happiness of new parents with their newborn.
This concludes the list of top 10 cute moments of Aiman and Muneeb, or Aineeb as netizens call them. We wish love, light and happiness to Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt.

From the concert, a beautiful moment was captured between Abida Parveen & Jada Pinkett Smith. Abida Parveen said, she is highly thankful to Jada Pinkett Smith on accepting the invitation to visit her in San Francisco. Her presence made the event much more memorable.
Here’s the video in which Abida Parveen is praising Jada Pinkett Smith.
It is utmost important to follow a set of mannerisms when you’re invited to a dinner party, a formal event or even a casual get together. Here’s the ultimate guide of dining etiquette to help you get through an event:
RSVP to the event
Always let your host know if you’re attending or not. This can help them in planning the event and preparing the food, keeping in mind the number of people at the party.
Giving gifts
Try and take a gift with you as a thank you for the host for inviting you over. This can be from anything to flowers or a cake or a box of chocolates. Going empty handed can look awkward.
What to wear?
Always dress appropriate to the event. If it is a child’s birthday, you can dress casually. If it is a adult’s only dinner, try and dress more formally.
Who is invited?
Mostly the invitation card would indicate who all is invited. If it just says you are your spouse, don’t take children along. Get someone to babysit them while they’re gone. Don’t even ask your host if you can bring them along. The card clearly said so for a reason.
Don’t use your phone
Try to limit the usage of your cell phone at parties. Keep it on silent or excuse yourself if you have an important call to make.
Basic table manners
Having basic table manners is essential and crucial especially when you’re visiting someone’s house. They serve as a sign of respect for the host.
Sitting in the chair
Sit properly and upright in your chair. Don’t slouch or have your elbows on the table.
Eating with your mouth closed
Chew your food with your mouth closed. Eating with your mouth open and talking while eating only comes across as disrespectful.
Keep your napkin in your lap
Place your napkin in your lap as you don’t want your clothes to get stained. You can also use the napkin to lightly clean your face.
Try and use utensils and not your hands or fingers
Try and use the utensils provided for eating your food and not your fingers. Eat slowly and steadily and don’t rush to finish your food. Don’t slurp or make noises when eating your food.
Asking for more food
Even if you would try to try a certain dish, don’t stretch across the table to pick it up, rather ask someone else to pass it to you.
Food portions
Eat small servings in case you get filled up quickly. Don’t hog all the food because you don’t want to waste anything. Make sure to finish your plate and leave it clean.
What to do once you’ve done eating?
Once you’ve finished eating, do not push the plate away from you, neatly place your utensils in a straight line on the plate and help the host in clearing up the table.
Leaving the party
Once you’re leaving, thank your host for inviting you with a smile.

Shame on our society that mocks his living legend!
Humor is not an easy genre to portray, it requires great effort and a powerful performance to make one laugh. If you love watching comedy shows, here’s a list of classics you can binge watch:
Mind Your Language
Mr Brown is an english language teacher who has to teach english to adults. Sounds easy, right? But oh it wasn’t for Mr Brown. The series shows how people of different countries with different caste, religion and language exist under the same roof. Mr Brown’s constant struggle to keep them in harmony whilst trying to make them learn a new language will have you in fits for days.
Friends
An American sitcom revolving around the everyday lives of six friends who are all trying to adjust and accomplish something seems quite predictable. But the charm of every character makes you want to stick around and fall in love with this show. From Joey’s constant flirting to Chandler’s sarcasm at every instance to Phoebe’s silly nature, this show had everyone hooked for a good ten years.
The Big Bang Theory
The show revolves around the lives of physicists, Sheldon and Leonard who are only interested in creating inventions and new theories for science. A woman who moves into an apartment across the hall from these two brilliant but socially awkward physicists shows them how little they know about life outside of the laboratory. The quirky scientific jibes filled with blonde moments makes the show a must watch.
Hum Paanch
One of India’s all time favorite comedy shows in the 90s, Hum Paanch revolved around the story of Anand Mathur, his dead wife who talks to him through her picture, his second wife and their five daughters. Each and every daughter has her own funny trait and are always up for some mischief. Because of his daughters behavior, Anand always lands himself in trouble.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai
Another one of India’s most loved and classic comedies is Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. The show revolves around an upper class Gujarati family living in Mumbai. Maya Sarabhai considers herself to be poised and graceful along with her other family members apart from her daughter in law Monisha who leaves no stone unturned to humiliate Maya with her middle class, tacky habits. Much of the humor is derived from the fake, artificial and shallow interactions among the city’s elite and their perceived notions of the shortcomings and failings of middle-class society.
Family Front
Family Frontrevolved around a family that tries really hard to keep up with Joneses. Their antics ranged from venturing into the spoof business to getting fooled by swindlers. The shows one liners like “Aazam, aap agaye?” “Nahi, raaste me hon” and “Pehchana? Nahi pehchana? Mein Khushya” became an instant hit and are still remembered today.
Teen Bata Teen
This show revolved around the lives of three roommates who do silly things to earn money or woo a girl. A light hearted comedy which became a breath of fresh air every passing day.
Dental and oral health is an essential part of your overall health and well-being. Maintaining healthy teeth and gums is a lifelong commitment. The earlier you learn proper oral hygiene habits, the easier it’ll be to avoid costly dental procedures and long-term health issues. Here’s a list to help you with your oral dental hygiene:
Brush twice a day
It is essential to brush your teeth twice a day. Brush once in the morning after you have had your breakfast (not before). This is because it can clean your mouth of all the food you have eaten. Secondly, brush your teeth before you go to bed. While many of us forget this practice, it is crucial to do so as brushing before going to bed gets rid of all the plaque and germs that accumulate throughout the day.
Don’t neglect your tongue
Another thing many people forget to do is brushing their tongue. Yes the tongue can also become a breeding ground for germs and plaque to build up on. It can lead to bad mouth odor and other oral health problems. So be sure to brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth.
Use a mouth wash
A mouth wash can be essential to reduce the amount of acid in the mouth, clean areas which are hard to reach with the help of a tooth brush. It can also easily get around the gums while re-mineralizing the teeth. It can also give a nice, cool mint-y breath.
Don’t forget to floss
People usually think flossing is to pick out any food which gets stuck in your teeth. Flossing essentially stimulates the gums, reduces inflammation and helps get rid of plaque. While flossing, one must be gentle so as not to hurt themselves in the process. Being too hard on your teeth and gums can cause them to bleed.
Use a fluoride toothpaste
A fluoride toothpaste fights germs and bacteria which lead to tooth decay. It also acts as a protective barrier for your teeth. Colgate, Oral B, Aquafresh are all types of fluoride toothpaste you can purchase for your dental care.
Avoid sugar based foods
Sugar based foods such as tea, coffee, sodas and candies turn to acid inside the mouth which continue to eat away the enamel of your teeth. Enamel protects teeth against decays and if that is harmed , it is near to impossible to restore it. While it may be hard to completely cut off sugary foods, you should minimize the consumption of them to protect your teeth.
Drink enough water
Apart from drinking eight glasses of water to stay hydrated throughout the day, water can also help wash out some of the negative effects of sticky and acidic foods and beverages in between brushes.
Visit your dentist twice a year
A routine checkup with your dental twice a year should be a crucial element in your life. Your dentist can check for any cavities or foresee any incurring problems and suggest treatment issues.
Get scaling done
Scaling is a deep cleaning process for your teeth. It removes all the deposits from your teeth which your toothbrush may find hard to reach.
Pakistan’s first ever ambassador for L’Oreal Paris, Mahira Khan, recently represented the brand at the Paris Fashion Week. Although we did miss Mahira Khan at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, where other L’Oreal representatives walked the prestigious red carpet, Mahira Khan made up for everything with her vivacious presence and aura at the Paris Fashion Week.
Not only did Mahira Khan represented Pakistan on an international platform, she rubbed shoulders with the who’s who from around the world. Mahira gelled in with other global L’Oreal representatives, including Camila Cabello, Amber Heard, Daniella Rahme, Aishwarya Rai, Helen Miren and Eva Longoria amongst others. And boy did Mahira Khan have a blast.
Khan shared a post where she was seen partying around with Helen Miren right in front of the Eiffel Tower, where the two danced away to happy tunes.
But that’s not just it. Mahira Khan made some amazing friends, who are already missing her and their fun time together. Recently, Lebanese actress Daniella Rahme took to her Instagram to share a video of hers and Mahira Khan dancing like there’s no tomorrow right in the middle of Paris.
What’s more interesting is the caption, where Rahme confesses to missing Mahira already.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3FODN1gT8Z/
Referring to Khan as My Crazy Mahira, Rahme wrote that she missed Mahira already.
Earlier, Rahme had also posted a throwback picture from the Paris Fashion Week, where she was seen posing around with Mahira Khan and other L’Oreal ambassadors.
Mahira Khan rocked the Paris Fashion Week when she walked the ramp in her ultra chic, biker babe look, complete with a leather jacket and black skinny jeans. Mahira, in her avatar, was a vision to behold and we absolutely loved the grace with which the actress slid into the look.
The Ayeza Khan, Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui starrer has been receiving a lot of praise for the trio’s acting. However, the storyline of the drama is under major criticism as it shows how a materialistic woman is intent upon destroying her own house in her lust for more money.
We’ve seen how vain Mehwish( Ayeza Khan) is and how she stops at absolutely nothing to get what she wants when it comes to money. First, she encouraged her husband to take bribe, took undue loans herself and now she’s accompanying her boss to out of town trips and wearing night suites, whether to entice him or be agreeable to whatever he says.
Mehwish encourages Shahwar and doesn’t back down, even when he hints he’s flying out for a date with her. We do not know what transpired between the two in this episode but we know for sure that no loyal woman does what Mehwish is doing to her husband.
Ayeza Khan’s character as Mehwish has been receiving a lot of backlash, especially after the last episode. The scenes with Shahwar have been earning her criticsim for being a selfish wife and ignoring her family in the process. Currently we do not know how the story will progress, but as the promo shows Shahwar asking Mehwish to choose, we can hazard a guess that she might not choose Danish at all.
Taking all this backlash and the criticism in her stride, Ayeza Khan, recently took to her Twitter to share how she felt about playing Mehwish.
Stating how she wouldn’t want to live as a woman Mehwish is, ever again, Ayeza wrote,” I have lived one life which I never want to live again as a woman, meray pass tum ho, its not just a story a husband and a wife, the lust for money, its a journey of a broken heart.”
Certainly Ayeza Khan, who herself is a devout mother and a wife, must have felt turbulent emotions after she played the character of Mehwish. Mehwish is vain but certainly beautiful and she knows how to use her beauty to get what she wants. The sad part is, the story as usual is inspired by our society and women like Mehwish certainly exist, which to their plight, destroy hundreds of homes.
Directed by veteran director Nadeem Baig, Meray Pass Tum Ho, has been written down by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. The drama, well now into its 9th week, stars Adnan Siddiqui, Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan in lead roles. Currently, Meray Pass Tum Ho has been earning rave reviews over the past few weeks.

Tonight’s episode for the most part was a little too serious and slightly upsetting as well. This episode also lacked the impact and flow which was much needed at this time. While SSG’s break up was expected, the turn Shahzain and Saad’s track took was more upsetting than anticipated. Later on, the scenes covering the boys’ life once they left the college were somewhat rushed. Some of the scenes were emotional with Wahaj Ali and Ahad Raza Mir taking the lead in this particular aspect. The scene showing Shahzain shooting the horse was seriously disturbing, I am wondering why would the makers even expect viewers to laugh at his jokes in the upcoming episodes after this! While rest of the boys acted convincingly throughout Osman Khalid Butt’s performance was extremely disappointing in this episode and the turn his character took was even worse. Dua’s character so far has absolutely nothing to offer and the actors playing the cousins’ role are too stiff and their dialogue delivery leaves a lot to be desired. Although Shahzain’s grandfather is funny but he got too much screen time in this episode while Saad’s mother hardly got any! There wasn’t a single meaningful scene covering Saad’s relationship with his mother or sister, definitely an opportunity lost.
Recent Developments
Tonight’s episode opened with the boys being expelled from the hostel. The understanding approach of the principal was beyond me and I found it highly unrealistic, especially the way he tolerated Shahzain’s grandfather. Dua decided to leave after telling Raheel off, Raheel’s bad acting was the worst part of this scene. While it was good to see Dua showing her anger in this scene, later on her attitude when she saw Saad in the university went to show that Dua’s character probably wouldn’t have much to offer. So far, there are no strong female leads in this drama.
The scenes covering the boys’ exit from the hostel were emotional and quite unexpected in some ways. I must say that Shahzain deserved that slap since he was the one who planned everything and it was his overconfidence which got everyone in trouble. Wahaj Ali was amazing in all the scenes, definitely the character I feel for the most. Saad’s farewell meeting with Khurshid was also touching but it was unpleasant watching Saad stay upset for so long. Shahzain was the only one who did not sit for the exams because his grandfather was convinced that he did not need to study. His antics later on showed that his grandfather had managed to make him the chaudhry he wanted to see him become.
The introduction to Saad’s mother’s character was one of the worst aspects of this episode. It was almost as if Vaneeza Ahmad did not have enough time to shoot too many scenes. After all this was the mother of one of the leading characters, why was she introduced in such a casual way after three episodes? Saad’s relationship with his father was also well established in this episode and unlike before there wasn’t any warmth there, it was like a boss interacting with his subordinate. Ahad Raza Mir however was convincing as the docile and obedient son. Faraz Yahya also translated his character impressively on screen even though the character itself seems quite clichéd.
The seating order when the boys were in the examination hall did not make sense at all since all of us who have given board exams know that your friends are nowhere near you during these exams. Saad decided to give up medical studies so that Dua could get an admission. Seems like that is how he will eventually end up in the army.
Final Remarks
Tonight’s episode of Ehd-e-Wafa covered a great deal from SSG’s sad end to new beginnings for all the boys. Unfortunately, not all these developments had an impact. While Shahzain and Saad got so much screen time, Shariq’s character didn’t get any in the last few minutes. The preview of the next episode suggested that Shahzain’s character might take a negative turn but I am hoping that this is going to be his way of redeeming himself since the story after all is about friendship! Except for a few scenes covering the boys’ exit from the hostel, tonight’s episode did not work for me. I am hoping that the writer will be able to do justice to all these tracks in the upcoming episodes.
Do share your thoughts about tonight’s episode of Ehd-e-Wafa.
The movie Joker has some really good reviews. People can’t stop talking about it. But it’s not appropriate for children and people who are facing mental illness because it is quite a dark movie. The movie comes with instructions that it is for 18+ children.
Hira Mani took her son who is not even 18 to watch this movie. In an interview, Muzammil Salman Shaikh son of Hira Mani, talked about his experience of watching Joker and how it left an impact on him.
Muzammil shared, that how close he is to superhero, Batman because his late uncle (Mani’s younger brother) introduced that character to him and told him how special Batman was like the only power he has was his own brain. Mani’s younger brother who was suffering from a brain tumor showed Muzammil a very positive image of this world through some fictional characters. Sadly, Muzammil’s uncle passed away at a very young age with whom he had some deep emotional attachment, and his death has made him a very sensitive and an emotional child.
Muzammil further added that he wanted to see the movie ‘Joker’ as he always has been taught that these fictional characters never play a negative role. He thinks that Joker was a nice person but selfish people and society changed him into a violent person. The main cause, Muzammil gave about the Joker turning into a negative person is bullying as he stated that he himself is bullied at school so he can totally feel his pain. The most hurtful comment he shared was that this bullying may bring some mental issues to him. He has appreciated the character of Joker, yet he wants everyone to change their behavior with each other.
Muzammil after watching the movie took it to his heart (as he already is an emotional and a sensitive child) as he could totally relate to it at such a young age. Hira Mani opened up about how Muzammil has been bullied by his friends in school just because he has a celebrity background and he has a mother who is an actress.
Hira Mani requested people to be considerate enough as she is not only a celebrity she is a mother as well and for every child out there his/her mother is the best person they have in their lives. She wants people to think before they post hurtful comments as her kids read them and take it very personally.

Never thought this would occur to me so soon, that one she’ll be gone and I’ll miss her. Maybe I’ll be sitting like this and penning my emotions..may be I’ll be looking at her childhood album. I’m reminded of the day she was born and I held her for the first time…I didn’t even know how to hold a baby.”
He concluded his note and said, “Dear Maryam Jaan, may you make many memories and have an amazing trip. May you come back with more adventures and knowledge. I guess it’s officially time to let you start doing things by yourself and I cannot help but think of the day when you’ll be married. Till then let’s have more father-daughter adventures, more discussions on books and poetry, more long walks and more hugs!”
Even before its release in Pakistan, Sarmad Khoosat’s film Zindagi Tamasha, is making waves. The film, which recently premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, won an award at the fest as well.
Zindagi Tamasha (Circus of Life) won the Kim Je Seok Award for which it was nominated. The award was accepted by Shafiq Haider Virk for Sarmad Khoosat.
93 films from all over Asia had competed for shortlisting in the category for the award. In the end, 8 films were shortlisted including Zindagi Tamashai from Pakistan and ‘Market’ from India. The two were then declared winners of Kim Je Seok Award.
The Kim Ji-seok Award, named after the festival’s co-founder and executive programmer, was jointly awarded to Sarmad Sultan Khoosat’s “Zindagi Tamasha i.e. Circus of Life” from Pakistan and also to Pradip Kurbah’s “Market” (India). The jury was headed by Iranian filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf and included Malaysian director-actress Tan Chui Mui and Korean film critic Huh Moon-young.
Zindagi Tamasha revolves around the story of a religious man whose viral video brings an upheavel in his life. The film stars Arif Hassan, Samiya Mumtaz and Eman Suleman in pivotal roles and Sarmad Khoosat makes a cameo. Directed and produced by Khoosat himself, Zindagi Tamasha has been written by Nirmal Bano and is eyeing a January 2020 release in Pakistan.
Noaman Sami recently wowed the audience in his advertisement for a cooking oil, which preached the concept of splitting the food and not wasting leftovers. The ad, with its beautiful concept, became an instant hit with the audience, who were left teary eyed with the perfect execution and the beautiful message it imparted.
However, what caught out attention other than the beautiful concept of the ad was the fact, that it stars actress Alizey Shah’s special friend Noaman Sami alongside Shafqat Khan. Now, Alizey, shared a very encouraging and special message for Noaman, congratulating him for a successful ad and imparting a beautiful message through it.
Praising the concept, the setting and the act for the ad, Alizey specially mentioned that “Yeh ap se behter koi nahi kar sakta tha, (Nobody could have done it better than you)” for Noaman in the message.
Noaman, who was quick to reply, did so with another cryptic message in his Instagram story, thanking Alizey for her compliments.
Stating that it meant a lot for him, Noaman, especially mentioned that he absolutely loved Alizey and her kind nature. Now if that isn’t a hint of sorts, than what is it.
Noaman and Alizey have been spotted together multiple times, attending public as well as friendly hangouts together. Noaman was also seen supporting and cheering for his best friend Alizey at the premiere of her cinematic debut with Superstar.
Although the duo refers to each other as their best friend, we can perhaps hazard a guess that something is probably cooking between Alizey and Noaman, who definitely make a cute and lively young couple.

Meera Jee was spotted enjoying the after party in Dubai alongside her friends and Jacqueline Fernandez. The two had been attending the Splash Fashion Show alongside Raza Baig and other big wigs of the fashion industry in Dubai.
The “White” themed party was a hit amongst its stars and guests, which included the creme de la creme from the entire Dubai and fashion industry.
But it has definitely left us wondering on a number of accounts. Pakistani and Indian celebs were seen mingling with each other forgetting all the political tensions amidst the borders pertaining to Kashmir. Do we raise the Kashmir issue only on the social media and keep it aside conveniently when its time to party?

Ohkay so, this episode of Alif ended too soon. Alif is such a visual treat but I must say I am so impressed that there is so much more that meets the eye than just the visuals. Haseeb Hassan has shown his caliber as a director in Alif & the first two episodes have depicted the kind of vision he had for a script like Alif. This episode of Alif was beyond brilliant & just like the first episode, this too felt like a well-directed movie which had so much to offer. One of the strongest aspects of this drama so far happens to be the to-the-point approach of the director, there is so much that has been explained but a lot more which has not met the detailing, which shows that the director wanted the viewers to also untie the knots themselves while watching every single episode of Alif. This episode of Alif was impressive because of the way the mood & the feel kept on changing within each scene. The best part is that even in every single scene, every character gets enough attention so that their emotions can surface. Alif so far has been nothing short of a treat & I can’t begin to imagine how much better it is going to get.
Loss of Hope, Loss of Connection:
Momina did not get much coverage in this episode but I loved how the director drew a comparison between Momina & Qalb e Momin in the initial scenes. Their lives are on completely different stages, they both themselves are in very different phases in their lives but one thing that is common between them is the lost connection with their Creator, which to some extent is a form of their weak faith. Umera Ahmed once again succeeded in elaborating the spiritual struggles of people, who when tested by their Creator either get to establish a stronger connection or lose it completely. One thing that was similar in little Momin & Momina Sultan’s journey was a ray of hope that kept their faith alive & the moment they felt they were losing hope – was the time when they actually lost the connection with Allah.
Momina had to let go the love of her life Faisal (Osman Khalid Butt). They both had liking for each other but Faisal didn’t paint any false picture in front of Momina. Faisal let Momina know that her family background was questionable. Momina must have loved Faisal with all her heart considering that she still thought of him but for Faisal, it was too obvious that his relationship with Momina was becoming a burden to him. Momina let go of him because she realized that she had to take care of her brother. Momina did bravely take up the challenges but because she is a human being after all, she tends to get tired too.
Momina’s interaction with Master Jee (Saife Hassan) was beautiful & heart-wrenching. It was nice to see that there is at least one person that Momina confides in, someone who understands her struggles & feels for her. Momina is losing hope, not in Allah but like she said, because things are not working at all, she is forced to think that may be Allah doesn’t love her. That entire conversation was simple but it had such a deep meaning, it showed how trials & tribulations not only affect people on the surface, but they leave you feeling uncertain, ambiguous, doubtful & hopeless from within as well. “Sab Allah ke hain, bas Momina Allah ki nahi hai” depicted how Momina was losing control of her emotions & she could not find that hope which would help her to hold onto her faith in Allah. Sajal Aly is such a phenomenal performer, she moved me to tears in just that short scene. I love how they have shown that Momina Sultan does calligraphy & it works as a catharsis for her. This is the only thing that she is doing for herself & it gives her peace. Beautiful!
I loved how they showed a contrast in the lives of people who belonged to the same field but were on very different levels. There was Momina who was even questioning the kind of work she was being forced to do in order to provide for her family & on the other hand, there was Qalb e Momin, who was enjoying the limelight & there was no one to question him about the kind of work he was doing. Momina was failing but Qalb e Momin stood tall & arrogant. Qalb e Momin has reached the level where people actually deem him as a sign of success & Qalb e Momin is not ashamed to admit that he has achieved everything on his own & he actually wants people to envy him. Qalb e Momin thinks he has overcome his vulnerabilities by carrying this facade in front of the whole wide world but as the episode progressed, it showed that his vulnerabilities were just intact & he was very much aware of them all. Qalb e Momin is at the stage where he wants people to only talk about his success & present, that is why he has kept everyone in the dark about his past. Qalb e Momin is not only hiding a lot, he is even ashamed to admit that his past was not according to his idea of perfect just like his present is.
The rest of the episode just covered Qalb e Momin’s success party & the get together he had at his place. It was interesting to see how people are attracted towards Qalb e Momin because of what he has, not because of what or who he is. Shelly was playing her game too & then Neha, the fashion designer was two-timing Qalb e Momin. Neha obviously is involved with Zulfi & she is cheating on Qalb e Momin. He doesn’t know that yet but he will slowly learn that the world that he was creating on his own, which was purely based on his success was surrounded by all those who wanted to enjoy a piece of it without being loyal to him. Qalb e Momin will get to learn that his success brought nothing but insincere people in his life & he will realize that the success that he so arrogantly flaunts comes with the territory.
Qalb e Momin is chasing after something, he has burnt all the bridges from the past & he has now engulfed himself in this world of his own which has nothing to do with the people from his past. This is the reason why even though he had immense respect for Dada Jaan (Manzar Sehbai), he was not in touch with him. Qalb e Momin knows that his Dada Jaan is the only link to his painful past, that is why he was not too keen about him. I loved Dada Jaan’s entry & his demeanour. The director, at the right time took the story into the past & linked it with the present. The young innocent Momin that we saw writing letters to Allah was the ace director Qalb e Momin of today. Qalb e Momin saw his mother & his grandfather chasing after his father Taha who estranged them & ran away. Momin, at a very young age got to experience what heartbreak & disloyalty is. What losing hope feels like. The scene where Momin tore his letters apart was beautifully done, it showed that by tearing those letters, Momin had given up on the hope that he had & that very hope was basically his connection with Allah, which was lost right at that moment & after that, Momin never really got back to fix that bond.
Dada Jaan, a practicing Muslim did not judge Qalb e Momin for who he had become but yes, he was sad to see the path that his grandson was walking upon. Dada Jaan could totally see that Qalb e Momin had lost his path, he had lost his faith & he turned into someone he did not recognize. The scene where Qalb e Momin was trying to ignore the call for prayer was dark but was done so well. It depicted the battle that Qalb e Momin & a lot of people like him fight every single day – where they do get the reminders but they force themselves to ignore those reminders. Qalb e Momin might have lost his connection at a very young age, but there is still something in him, it was expressed when he turned the paintings & stowed one of them away. The little nuances make a whole lot of difference in the drama-watching experience. Dada Jaan obviously was now finding out things about Qalb e Momin because he was out of touch with him for so long, he never really wrote him back therefore Dada Jaan did not know what Qalb e Momin was upto. He not only was taken aback, but it was obvious that he was now feeling a little disappointed. I can not wait to see the impact Dada Jaan will have on Qalb e Momin’s life!
Closing Thoughts – Perfection:
This episode of Alif was perfect in literal sense. Be it dramatization, picturization, art direction, acting, characterization & display of emotions – everything is subtle yet so clear & it absolutely leaves an impact & allows the viewer to ponder about what they are watching. The dialogues are simple but they carry so much of meaning. Hamza Ali Abbasi, as arrogant Qalb e Momin is so convincing. He has embraced this character in such a way that I am finding it hard to even imagine who else could’ve played the role of Qalb e Momin with this much perfection. Sajal Aly is such a fine actor, in such short scenes, she has left such a huge impression as Momina Sultan, the desperate, eager, helpless Momina Sultan who just wants to save her brother. Yashma Gill & Sadaf Kanwal did justice to the characters they have been assigned to play but their performances were the kind that anybody could’ve portrayed with just this much ease & it wouldn’t have made much of a difference. Manzar Sehbai’s screen presence & his minute expressions were a treat to watch. Pehlaaj Hassan has breathed life into the scenes of young Momin, who saw his mother’s sufferings. Hasseb Hassan should take a bow for giving such a convincing start to a story like Alif. Eager to watch the next episode already. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Alif.
This was undoubtedly the best episode of Meray Pass Tum Ho since it was brilliantly directed and acted-out. The main twist in this episode was completely unexpected and the situations shown before and after the main incident kept me hooked throughout. With this episode I really felt like we might get to watch an old story with a new perspective after all. Danish’s reaction to every single development tonight was the highlight of this episode, his character is turning out to be a complex and interesting one. Nadeem Baig’s direction has been superb but tonight it was simply outstanding. The camera work, duration of the scenes, the locations and background score, every aspect was right on point. It is good to see a man on screen for a change who is afraid to lose his wife and who is willing to fight for her without actually fighting with her. This episode kept me hooked throughout since it was absolutely brilliant and there were no commercial breaks tonight. Meray Pass Tum Ho’s producers definitely are trying their best to keep up with the competition by introducing the main twist at a time when Alif just aired and once again by showing an episode without any commercial breaks.
Roomi’s First Day of School
While Roomi and his father got ready for school, Mehwish had her own plans. Once again, the writer in a really realistic way showed how Mehwish was drifting away from this life and getting cozy in a world which right now was like a temporary escape. Mehwish’s transition yet again was shown through little gestures like her lack of excitement regarding Roomi’s admission, her lack of interest when Roomi was leaving for school since she had more exciting things to look forward to and most of all the confidence with which she lied to her husband without feeling guilty. Mehwish has convinced herself that she is entitled to all this and it is almost as if she has accepted that her job indeed is to please Shahwar.
Mehwish’s scenes with Roomi were such a nice addition to this episode. She does not tell him off and whenever she interacts with him it’s in a very loving and sweet manner yet she is not as interested in his life as she was before. Mehwish thinks she can give her son a better life if she earns more money but clearly Roomi was the one who suffered the most in this episode. While he was not shown as a victim but clearly a child deserves better than coming back home to a father who is in depression and being left alone at night all by himself because his parents are too busy in their own affairs. Danish is not the one at fault here but his attitude shows that sometimes not taking a stand too can hurt your children in more ways than one. It is rather strange that we never see Roomi complaining, he is a sweet kid who obviously got a lot of love all these years and he is also used to having his mother around all the time yet not once did he ask his mother to accompany him to the school. Perhaps, the writer is trying to show that he is more close to his father since he complained to him when he left him unaccompanied at home.
I absolutely love the child star playing this role, his crackling on-screen chemistry with Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan both makes their scenes realistic. The scenes which were shot outdoor were once again my favorite. Shooting such scenes during day time is nothing short of a challenge yet Nadeem Baig has managed to shoot them convincingly and brilliantly. I especially liked the scene showing Danish and Roomi on the motor bike when they were going to school. It’s actually disturbing how comfortable Mehwish and Danish are with Roomi coming home in the van (I presume) and being home alone with the helper all day.
Danish’s Mental Turmoil
Danish’s mental turmoil was shown convincingly in this episode. Although he has been going along with everything Mehwish has shown interest in doing but the fact is that he is not okay with it. Tonight he clearly told Mehwish that he was scared of her and he knew that she was going to do whatever she wanted to with or without his consent therefore he was just pretending that he didn’t have a problem with her job or choices. All the scenes covering Danish’s confusion and his restlessness were acted-out and written brilliantly. Finally after finding out what Mehwish had been up to behind his back, for the first time he put his foot down and told her not to go to the office. When he blamed his over-possessiveness in the beginning it was quite obvious that he was saying all this out of fear because he was now more afraid than ever to lose Mehwish. It was interesting how this situation was shown. Danish’s bitterness and his anger showed in his attitude but he was clearly ‘scared’ of saying more. Danish’s conversations with Mateen sahab were a nice addition to this episode. Finally there is someone he can talk to and Mateen sahab seems like a genuinely nice person who has learned from his mistakes. Humayum Saeed’s performance in this episode was truly impressive. Syed Muhammad Ahmed is an ace actor, looking forward to seeing more of him.
Mehwish’s Stubbornness
The way Mehwish went ahead with her plan and the manner in which she was sleeping peacefully in the hotel room went to show that she was more than willing to play the role Shahwar wanted her to play. She has convinced herself that she is not doing anything wrong and when Danish was there at the airport, she was so confident about it all. She was more than willing to accept the consequences perhaps because she knew that she had someone to fall back on. Even then after reaching home, she acted as if nothing happened. Once again she apologized, gave an explanation and expected Danish to move on. Mehwish knows that she is wrong but at the same time she does not want to be held accountable for her actions. Her situation too is quite interesting since her love for status and money is the driving force in her life right now, everything else is secondary. Ayeza Khan looked absolutely stunning in some of the scenes tonight and she has nailed this character. I wish she would stop being so apologetic in interviews for playing this character since she has done complete justice to it.
Final Remarks
Some of the dialogues tonight were beautifully written and this episode was also well-paced, there wasn’t a single scene which was out of place. All the actors performed exceptionally well. Nadeem Baig deserves an award for his direction since he has breathed life into every single scene by capturing it so well on screen. Adnan Siddiqui has acted just as brilliantly as Ayeza and Humayun. Apart from the direction, the flawless acting makes this drama engaging even though it has been relatively slow-paced. The upcoming episode it seems is going to be just as interesting as this one, looking forward to it.
This was definitely a must watch episode which actually had the twist everyone was waiting to see but the reactions we got were different from what we were expecting to see and personally I liked the writer’s take.

Mahira Khan is the diva and superstar of Pakistani showbiz industry. Mahira Khan started off as VJ but when she ventured into acting, she was lucky because she got to work with big names right from the beginning of her acting career. Mahira Khan appeared in Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol and caught everyone’s attention but she became an overnight sensation when her debut drama Humsafar aired on Hum TV. Mahira Khan has ever since become a renowned actress and is someone who is considered one of the top stars and divas of Pakistan.
Mahira Khan is a fashionista and she shows it in terms of styling. Mahira Khan is one of those few actresses who can carry every single look with charm and elegance. However, when it comes to makeup, Mahira Khan has not experimented much and has stayed consistent in sporting a minimal makeup look. On very rare occasions, Mahira Khan has been seen wearing a full glam makeup. It won’t be wrong to say that Mahira Khan’s signature makeup look is the no-makeup look. This is the look that she carried in both her initial super-hit projects Bol and Humsafar and since then, Mahira Khan has not changed her makeup looks.
Mahira Khan’s Signature Makeup Look:
Mahira Khan’s signature makeup look can be termed as no-makeup look. A lot of times, Mahira Khan has shared her bare-faced pictures and when we compare them with her glam makeup pictures, we can totally see that she likes to keep it natural and minimum. Mahira Khan obviously does not even need a lot of makeup because she is naturally pretty and has a spotless skin but wearing makeup to some extent is the requirement of Mahira Khan’s work and career. Mahira Khan does not shy away from sharing her raw and unfiltered pictures, which goes to show that she believes in letting her natural beauty shine through. Mahira Khan is comfortable in her own skin and this is why, when it comes to makeup, she does not rely heavily on it to make a statement.
Mahira Khan has always sported a no-makeup look. Even though a lot of makeup steps and techniques are involved in achieving the no-makeup look but looking at Mahira Khan’s natural and real skin in her pictures, it shows that her makeup artists do not use a lot of products on her. Mahira Khan’s signature makeup look is all about fresh radiant complexion. It is always interesting to see that in an era where trends such as wearing shimmery highlighters and heavily contouring the face are popular, Mahira Khan does not opt for these techniques. Mahira Khan’s makeup is all about having that glow-from-within look and this is why her face makeup is always radiant, without using tons of highlighters. Mahira Khan might not be up for a lot of makeup products, but she shares a very strong bond and friendship with her two main makeup artists Babar Zaheer and Adnan Ansari. She always makes sure to document their work and makes sure to acknowledge the strong bond that she shares with them.
When it comes to her eyebrows and eyes, Mahira Khan usually wears a warm toned eye-shadow to add the depth in her eyes and she opts for brown eyeliner pencils. Using brown eyeliner instead of black kohl or kajal makes eyes look softer and natural – which is something that Mahira Khan’s makeup artists always aim for. She keeps her eyebrows natural and does not wear a lot of eyebrow products to give them a sharp or made-up look. Mahira Khan does wear a few coats of mascara, that give her eyes a little depth and dimension. Mahira Khan also wears individual false lashes at the end of her lash-line, it gives her eyes a lift and cat-eye effect.
Mahira Khan does rely on warming up her face with bronzers. This technique gives her a sun-kissed look and that brings some color and dimension to her face. Mahira Khan naturally has lifted cheekbones that is why she does not contour her face. Bronzing brings some color to her face which otherwise might look washed out in front of the camera or in pictures. Mahira Khan also wears a little blush to again bring a flush of color to her cheeks.
Mahira Khan does wear different shades of lipsticks, however most of the times she wears natural and nude lipstick shades. When it comes to amping up her look, she does sport a bold red pout but that also happens rarely. Mahira Khan does not wear the kind of makeup that will draw attention to every feature on her face. She keeps it simple, minimum and this has become the kind of look that she wears confidently. Horror movies are incomplete without an antagonist who is ruthless as hell and scary to send a chill down your spine. Whenever you watch a horror film, all you wish for is that they won’t come haunting you in your dreams. Here’s a list of the most creepiest of villains who have been haunting us forever:
Pennywise (It)
Pennywise started in the It movie series who strives on young blood to stay youthful and alive. He has the ability to shapeshift and manipulate young children. He is heartless and does not care about the children or other beings as he eats children and buries people alive.
Chucky (Child’s Play)
A child’s doll, Chucky is portrayed as a serial killer who has the ability to perform Voodoo. The doll is actually possessed by a serial killer’s soul. Imagine a doll killing people, how creepy is that.
Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
Possibly one of the scariest villains of all time, Freddy has an in-built weapon to kill and those are his bladded gloves. He is a child killed who goes on to also kill adults by pulling out their veins, making their head explode and making them go crazy. Crineworthy as hell!
Jason Voorhees (Friday The 13th)
Jason is a psychotic killer who emerges from a lake he drowned in as a child. It is believed he is immortal. He has used knives, axes, machetes, meat cleavers, spear guns, bows and arrows, pitchforks, fireplace pokers, hacksaws, broken bottles, sauna rocks, his bare hands, and twice knocked characters’ heads off with a single punch. Woah that’s alot of ways to kill people!
Ghostface (Scream)
Ghostface uses voice changers to threaten people over the phone that he would kill them. He has no one motive as the mask is used by various people with their own reasons of seeking revenge over killing someone. Ghostface has the ability to appear and disappear wherever he wants to.
Annabelle (Annabelle)
Dolls are meant to be cute and cuddly but this one sure isn’t. Annabelle although given as a gift is possessed by demons later on in the movie for which the demons now demand a soul be offered to them to leave the place. The doll is creepy as hell as it makes the other characters commit suicide by jumping off of windows or in front of a car.
Count Dracula (Count Dracula)
An iconic character from the 1970s, Count Dracula is an old man who relys on fresh blood to keep getting younger. He neither has a shadow, nor a reflection in the mirror. He is a strong villain who cannot be easily killed and has supernatural abilities such as flying, turning into a bat, ability to hypnotise and teleportation. How cool is that for an evil character.
Lubin (Leprachaun)
Lubin is the main antagonist in the film Leprachaun in which he believes someone stole his pot of gold. While he goes searching for it, he kills anyone he believes to be suspicious of stealing his possession. The more infamous deaths of the film include Lubin impaling a man with a bong, hacking a man to bits with a lightsaber, and of course, that time he stomped a man to death with a pogo stick.
