Hamza Ali Abbadi and Naimal Khawar Khan not only took everyone by surprise with their wedding announcement, the way they conducted their marriage was another beautiful surprise. It was kept short and sweet. Few of Hamza’s celebrity friends gathered to throw him a bachelor party and Hamza then held the Walima function in Marriot, Islamabad, where he invited a good amount of people to be a part of this new chapter in his & Naimal’s lives. The highlight of their wedding was the Nikkah day, which was held in the afternoon at The Monal, Islamabad. Hamza allowed the official wedding photographer to go live on the social media and share details with his well-wishers, because of which everyone got to see the floral fantasy that their Nikkah ceremony was like. Walking into the beautiful venue was nothing short of a dream, the decorations were simple and classy. The event planners relied on candles and flowers to decorate the entire space. The best aspect was the floral hangings from the ceiling which tied everything together. The setup where Hamza and Naimal were seated was a simple wooden platform with wooden frame at the back, which was also decorated with the help of flowers. Hamza and Naimal’s Nikkah was a beautiful event.

Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain

Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain also surprised everyone with their simple approach towards their wedding. They gathered all their celebrity friends at Yasir’s place for Mehndi, that is when he got his house decorated. Yasir and Iqra had Nikkah and Walima during the day and kept their wedding short and durated it in such a way which was easier for them as well as all those who were attending the functions. Yasir himself took it to the Insta to let everyone know his thought process behind taking such decisions because it was economical and something that he could easily afford. Yasir also explained that he would’ve loved to hold his Nikkah ceremony at his own place but because of the amount of people he had to accommodate, he had to choose a venue. The decorations of Iqra and Yasir’s Nikkah were gorgeous. They had an elevated stage which was decorated with flowers. They also opted for a floral framed divider away from the stage, where Yasir and Iqra had their Nikkah in a most romantic yet traditional manner. They both sat face to face separated by a veil of flowers and had their Nikkah. Not to forget, their pictures were gorgeous too.

Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed

Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed also had an elaborate wedding, with Mehndi, Valima and post-wedding Dholki events. However, they didn’t go for a traditional Rukhsati and decided to opt for a simple Nikkah at Badshahi Masjid, Lahore. It was a day event where everyone gathered to witness them tying the knot. Urwa and Farhaan had their Nikkah and the photographers made the most of the stunning sacred backgrounds, which beautified their photographs even more. The which was further enhanced with white flowers, white fabrics like curtains and sparkly table runners, silver menorah candle stands and beautiful floral centerpieces on every table. The combination of green grass and white gorgeous setting was such a visual treat.

Ali Xeeshan and Myrah

Renowned fashion designer Ali Xeeshan got married to his lady love Myrah, a journalist in Islamabad. The couple tied the knot in a day wedding. Their wedding venue was beautifully and elaborately decorated. Ali Xeeshan is known for his larger-than-life designs and appearances on red-carpets and fashion shows, therefore his wedding was an event to remember with everything beautifully crafted and brought together. From silver decorative ornaments hanging from the ceiling to beautiful flower centerpieces, from glass aisle to gorgeous colored floral arrangements, everything was classy, regal and complimented the couple’s bridal wear beautifully. They also had a ritual of standing behind a veil as a couple after their Nikkah and had their Nikkah in a most traditional setting with a veil separating them before they said ‘Qabool Hai’. It was more like a royal wedding in a day setting which was carefully planned with attention to detail paid on every little aspect.

Saheefa Jabbar Khattak and Khizer Hussain

Saheefa Jabbar Khattak got married to the love of her life in a day event too. The couple had a simple mehndi and nikah ceremony at home and then they arranged a day wedding for everyone to gather and celebrate this auspicious occasion of their lives. They had an open air event too with white and pink floral theme. Flowers played a huge part in making this event gorgeous and visually appealing. White table runners and floral centerpieces added beauty to the event. The couple also arranged a gorgeous floral platform as a center stage for dancing and mingling with the guests.

Emaan Suleman and Jamil Haider Rizvi

Emaan Suleman is a renowned model. She is also known for speaking her heart out and being brutally honest about the things she feels for the most. Emaan always has an unconventional take on things, therefore it did not come as a surprise that her wedding had to be different and conducted in a unique manner. Emaan had two day functions, Mehndi and Rukhsati. Emaan and Jamil tied the knot in Lahore and their wedding venue decoration was a vision. They opted for an organic and earthy theme, where the woods were the star of the show and they were used as props to create the canopy. There was no fancy stage, just a basic setting with lots of lighting, some flowers and glass decorations. The Rukhsati decorations were vibrant, quirky and fun. They recreated the weddings from the 80’s with traditional tenting, also who would’ve thought that a couple would choose a red bench on their wedding as their seating arrangement, so cool!

Pakistan International Screen Awards 2020 were held in Dubai last night. This was the very first time these award functions were conducted. It is unfortunate that they were surrounded by controversies where the organizers didn’t give up a proper protocol to a lot of celebrities who they committed to bring to UAE to make a part of the event. A lot of renowned celebrities accused the organizers of PISA 2020 for false advertisement. However, a lot of celebrities joined hands to make this function a success.

Award functions bring celebrities together where they acknowledge the great work that the industry has done and along with that, they also get to dazzle the red carpet with their beautiful looks and dresses. PISA 2020 was attended by a lot of famous Pakistani celebrities. Where quite a lot of them failed to impress, there were a lot of such celebrities who looked spectacular.

Sarah Khan knows how to slay at the award functions with her carefully picked outfits and beautiful looks. Sarah Khan wore two outfits at the event. It’s safe to say that she looked spectacular in both the outfits. Sarah Khan is one of those few celebrities who not only dress modestly but also know what looks good on them. Sarah wore her hair straight and kept her makeup simple, but she scored a spot in this list with flying colors.

After a lot of trials and errors, Ayesha Omar finally found herself one such gown which did justice to her petite frame and made her look elegant. Ayesha Omar wore a creation of Kuwaiti designer label LabourJoisie. Let’s just say, Ayesha Omar should rely on international designers for such events because their gowns are made in such a way which hug the body perfectly and are classy. This gown was sparkly, it was blingy, it had tassels and it was just perfect. Ayesha Omar wore dainty accessories. She kept her makeup bold because the dress was a shade of pastel gold and silver. She wore her hair differently, she has been pictured in two different hairstyles. Let’s just say, this was definitely Ayesha Omar’s night and she looked gorgeous.

Sana Javed

Sana Javed wore a creation of Nomi Ansari and she looked absolutely beautiful. It was a gorgeous solid black base which was amped up with silver metallic mukaish work. It was a beautiful creation and Sana Javed carried it with utmost grace. Sana Javed wore her short hair in loose curls, she kept her makeup glamorous. It was obvious that Sana Javed wasn’t screaming for attention and she went for a relaxed traditional vibe and she nailed it. Mahira Khan

Mahira Khan also wore an international label. Her outfit was by Lebanese designer Rami Kadi and it was a stunning outfit, perfect to make a dazzling statement on an award function. Mahira Khan let the gorgeous bling sleeveless gown do the talking. She kept her hair and makeup simple, something that she always does but this time, it worked in perfect harmony with this outfit because it was over-the-top and eye-catching. A beautiful metallic shade which shifts of multi colors, Mahira Khan definitely looked stunning in this beautiful outfit by Rami Kadi.

Zara Noor Abbas

Zara Noor Abbas went for a traditional ethnic look with banarasi blouse and saree. She wore her hair in an updo and carried a beautiful statement necklace to complete her look, it won’t be wrong to say that she looked like a younger version of the ever-so-gorgeous Asma Abbas. Zara Noor Abbas looked graceful and charming. The beautiful shade of green that she picked complimented her skin tone. Her full sleeves blouse was a beautiful shade of purple and pink and it was a perfect match to the green saree. Zara kept her hairdo simple and makeup fresh and basic, without making it look like she put in so much of an effort, she ended up being a head-turner at the event.

Urwa Hocane

Urwa Hocane came in wearing a princess dress and she looked gorgeous. Her outfit was a beautiful silver sleeveless gown. It was heavily embellished and flared, it accentuated Urwa’s petite waistline beautifully. It was a perfect red carpet, award function appropriate dress. Urwa also changed into a saree later but this outfit was a perfect choice to make a statement at the event. She wore her hair straight and kept the overall fresh and simple. Urwa also did not put much effort into wearing any accessories, which showed that she wanted this outfit to take the limelight and do the talking, which it did!

Hira Mani

Hira Mani wore a blingy straight gown with a slit to PISA 2020. Hira Mani is new to these award functions and this is why she is exploring her styling and getting comfortable at the idea of making a statement. This time around, her outfit was beautiful and not over-the-top. It was a simple straight gown which sat beautifully on Hira’s frame. The shades were neutral and pastels which looked flattering on Hira’s beautiful complexion. She wore her hair in loose waves and her makeup was fresh and glowy.

Adnan Siddique

Adnan Siddique showed up on the red carpet wearing red sherwani and he did make quite a statement. Adnan Siddique looked fit and the shade of red suited him best. Adnan Siddique, like quite a lot of other celebrities also had a change of outfit during the award ceremony. He later changed into a basic black suit but the sherwani that he chose to make an entrance was perfect.

Shehryaar Munawwar

Shehryaar Munawwar wore a simple black and white tuxedo. He went for a clean and basic look for the night. The white coat had a pattern and the rest of the articles of clothing were plain and simple. Sherhyaar Munawwar without putting too much of an effort ended up looking quite nice at the event.

Sarwat Gillani

Sarwat Gillani wore a beautiful net saree and looked graceful. She picked a beautiful shade of navy blue which looked gorgeous on her skin tone and complimented her hair color as well. Sarwat Gillani did wear an off-shoulder blouse which too was embellished. The saree was beautifully draped around Sarwat’s petite frame. She went for a classic hairstyle which looked good on her and wore makeup that accentuated her eyes a lot more. She did make a statement and looked stunning.

Pakistan International Screen Awards were conducted for the very first time. They were held in Dubai, UAE on Saturday February 7, 2020. This marked the beginning of new award functions to celebrate and acknowledge the work that the Pakistani entertainment industry has been producing. The beginning of these awards wasn’t ideal and it surrounded many controversies. A lot of famous celebrities came to the forefront and spoke about how the organizers kept them in the lurch and after using their names to promote the show, they did not get back in contact with them. The organizers however went above and beyond to create the hype of the award functions and also circulated the pictures of some Pakistani celebrities who were flown to Dubai on a private jet. A lot of celebrities were not a part of the event but there were quite a few big names who not only attended but participated to make these award functions successful. What the future holds for these award functions is still a question mark, however a lot of famous Pakistani celebrities gathered to make the very first PISA Awards a star-studded event.

Pakistani celebrities always gather to celebrate the amount of work that the industry has done. They also get to mingle with the entire industry as well as make a style statement. All the award functions are filled with celebrities who look good and there are always some who fail to leave a mark. PISA 2020 was no different. Meera Jee

Went Over-The-Top Only To Look Bad?

Meera Jee wore not one, not two in fact three outfits throughout the event. It goes to show that she was ready to go through the hassle to make a statement but she couldn’t. She wore a peach gown designed by Aleena and Fareena when she was leaving for the award function. This satin strappy gown was absolutely unflattering on her. She wore another outfit for the red carpet which was a creation of Asma’s Collection. It was a blingy jumpsuit topped with an overall, which she draped over her shoulders, again this pick did not do any justice to Meera Jee’s personality. Meera Jee wore a red saree during the award ceremony, which was probably the only outfit that complimented her. Apart from her Red Saree, the other two outfits were a poor choice. Meera Jee also went for a very nude makeup look which did not suit her at all. A pale foundation, minimum makeup on the eyes and nude peachy lipstick didn’t look good on her and made her look like she had bouts of vomit due to food poisoning right before the event. Momina Mustehsan

Wrong Shades of Yellow!

Someone should seriously ask how Momina successfully makes every color look bad? Momina went for an unflattering shade of golden yellow. It was a partly off-shoulder gown which only accentuated her waistline. Momina looked uncomfortable walking with such a heavily flared gown in almost all the videos of the event that circulated on social media. Momina has gone a bit too lighter with the hair color which makes her look washed out and is not a good look on her. She looks like all the shades of yellows poorly merged together on a paint palette. We look forward to seeing Momina on one such event where she will not be making a desperate attempt of copying a Barbie Doll because she is past that age. Better luck next time Momina!

Scourer, Towel or a Blanket?

Noor Khan is usually one of those gorgeous young girls who can rock any look. She has a perfect height and physique to do justice to flared long gowns but not sure what went wrong. The maroon gown was a hybrid of towels and blankets? Or maybe it was made to look like a scourer so that the gown could also sweep the floors clean as she walked. Maybe Noor Khan was feeling cold so she decided to pick up the warmest fabric to save herself from the flu and fever? Just a lot of maybes that pop in our head everytime we see Noor Khan. For an actress so young and gorgeous, not sure why she went for this look. Better luck next time Noor!

Bedspread Turned Gown

Ushna Shah hit two birds with one stone. We are pretty sure after the event was over, she draped this gown over and slept peacefully because it was made out of a blanket. Ushna’s hair and makeup was basic but done right, she looked gorgeous however, the bustier of her gown was too tight and she was seen adjusting it every second as she walked the red carpet.Must have been uncomfortable, we are sure. Sadaf Kanwal

Slitty Saree

Sadaf Kanwal wore a Sana Safinaz saree with a modern twist to it. There was a huge slit on the side of her saree which gave a room to her legs for easy walking. The overall styling that Sadaf opted for was tacky. It seemed her hair and makeup was rushed and she didn’t have much time on her hands to properly dress up for the event. Her silver saree was draped lousily over her and it just wasn’t a good look. Better luck next time Sadaf!

Bedsheet From Mama Bear’s House

Zaid Ali has reiterated that he loves to make people laugh and smile no matter what he does. We are pretty sure this was the thought that ran through his mind when he got an invitation to attend PISA 2020. He definitely contacted Mama Bear and asked her for a spare bed sheet stored in one of the trunks at her place and voila! This is how his suit came into being. We love Zaid Ali’s humor but this one definitely seems like a bad joke. Better luck next time Zaid!

No Surprises There

Momal Sheikh has made it a ritual to look bad on every award function. No matter how hard she tires, she breaks her own record every single time. This time around, Momal picked a gorgeous shade of blue but the outfit itself was hideous. One fails to believe that it was a creation of renowned designers like Sana Safinaz. There was something happening in the name of fashion designing at the front of her outfit and 24 hours later, we are still trying to solve the conundrum. Retro Ruination

In a recent interview, Sonya Hussyn put the entire blame on her stylist for dressing her up for the award functions. She stated that if it was for her, she’d show up wearing Shalwar Kameez. I guess, it’s about time that Sonya walks the talk, wears a shalwar kameez on award functions and before doing that, fires her stylist who makes her look this bad at every event. What is exactly happening on Sonya’s head? She looks like a 2D version of herself in a tightly draped retro saree which actually looks unflattering. She is wearing a net blouse, hollywood waves on a chunk of her hair, gladiator-inspired bangles and a smile which makes her look as if she’s done with this stylist, we are too. Unflattering Feathers

It looked like Komal Rizvi was ecstatic after she got an invitation for PISA 2020. She decided to do everything she has ever wanted to on an award function but she ended up doing too much. Her outfit was unflattering and just not right. A heart-shaped cutwork on her bustier and ruffled netted bottom? There was also a break in the ruffles so that the plain net could break the monotony of the design, it is unfortunate that the designer put so much effort into making this gown work which was just not the right piece to begin with. Komal also went for an extended double wing liner, too desperate I see. Better luck next time Komal!

Alyzeh Gabol

Tissues Galore

Alyzeh Gabol also wore a creation of Sana Safinaz. It is hard to believe that one after another bad designs that made it to PISA’s worst dressed list came from Sana Safinaz. The only good thing about the dress was the color but other than that, it was an eyesore. The silhouette was of such sort that made it very confusing to figure out the anatomy of Alyzeh Gabol. The tissues ruffled on one of the shoulders was also a disturbing look. Better luck next time Alyzeh!

Umair Jaswal

Butler In Town

What is actually happening on Umair Jaswal’s coat? The green patched borders on the coat are catching the eye but for all the wrong reasons. He looks like he is very proud of looking like a properly dressed butler and for his dedication, he scored an award. Umair Jaswal should also try to experiment with his hair, this Johnny Bravo hairstyle has been out of fashion for more than a decade. Maybe he is still recovering from the aftershocks of Mor Mahal, hence the peacock green (pun intended). Better luck next time Umair!

Aima Baig

Oversized Gown

Aima Baig wore a dazzling and sparkly gown to the PISA Awards but it looked like she didn’t go for the final fittings before the event, because it was clearly not her size. Aima did try hard to downsize it by buckling a belt around her waist but the neckline, the sleeves, the shoulders, nothing sat well on her petite frame. It was a sparkly velvet navy blue gown which looked too much for Aima to handle. It was a bit mature choice for someone as young as Aima and the fact that she went for a casual styling with her basic hair and makeup also didn’t harmonize the overall look. Ali Zafar

Color Combo Gone Bad!

Ali Zafar is someone who knows what looks good on him and he usually always picks up such outfits that he carries with grace but this was so not that case at PISA 2020. Grey plain trousers, white dress shirt, black bow-tie and blue velvet coat? What is happening? So many colors merged into one outfit makes it look like all of these pieces were just mixed and matched to give Ali Zafar something to wear the very last minute before he had to show up at stage for his performance. Fauzia Amaan

Crow’s Nest

Fauzia Amaan wore a plain black saree which was a creation of the infamous Umar Sayed. The saree itself was made out of a plain black chiffon but the piece that was supposedly going to amp up her look was the crows nest that she draped around her shoulders. Blingy Boring

Only by wearing this dress, Sarah Loren has shown how blingy can be boring too. The overall fit of this outfit is unflattering. It is a pastel shade of pink with golden and silver tassels. She went for a Hollywood waves hairstyle and pink lip color. She is beautiful and has carried this hair and makeup perfectly but the dress that she has picked for the function is boring and unflattering on her. She did have a change of outfit for her performance which was way better than this one.
