Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

I know the guy will probably be in hospital or maybe drowning himself in ahem ahem you know what but before this Cardiac attack he got; this is what he was upto:

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>PCB. Cricket team bhejna please.Earlier Hockey ya Kho Kho team bhejin thin. Kyon ki 18th June(Fathers Day) Baap khel raha tumhare saath lol!</p>&mdash; Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) <a href=”https://twitter.com/chintskap/status/875424104458862592″>June 15, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src=”//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

But guys it is clear now who the FATHER is! And Rishi Sahab never mess with THE BAAP! SO let us take a look how people are educating poor Rishi who the Papa is:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

See what our Kho kho team has done:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

And that is what you have to do when you mess with wrong people:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

You should have paid attention to your son man:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

Waqt pe sunn lete to ye to na hota:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

Firstly the saari is not up to the standard aur muun bhi chupana parr gaya:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

And Hamza striked hard too but he explained the situation well:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

And thats what you have to do when you become so OVERCONFIDENT:

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>Yes Pakistan, you have defeated us. Well played, outplayed us in all departments. Many congratulations, I concede. Best wishes!</p>&mdash; Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) <a href=”https://twitter.com/chintskap/status/876465937880305664″>June 18, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src=”//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

Aur twitter chorna bhi parr sakta hai:

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

Rishi Sahab Mauka Mauka!

And since it is proved who the Papa is a piece of advice from Papa on the FATHER’S DAY: Zayada ooper dekh ke chalne wale aise hi gutter main girte hain!

Zakham episode 07 review.. a lame psychological thriller by now

Assalamoalikum ..

so this episode of Zakham was not at all impressive. It was slow, uninteresting and created more mysteries than solving it.

Earlier, the issue was only why Khawar was behaving this way.. what is his secret? Now everyone is behaving strangely. There were a lot of things that I did not understand from this confusing episode. Firstly, why is Takbeer suddenly losing interest in Ahmed? She goes from saying that he is her priority to finding an old diary of who knows whom and that makes her forget about the crying baby. She was making such lame attempts at calming Ahmed whom she had claimed to love so much that I felt sorry for the little lad whose mother has left him in hands of these two lost souls.

Zakham episode 07 review.. a lame psychological thriller by now

Secondly, why did she call Moosa from the hospital.. was it because she accidentally dialled it from her memory. If that was so, then why did she not call the person she was calling initially to inform like maybe her parents or Khawar?

We all know Khawar is mentally deranged, so he called her dad in a fit of rage and suspicion that Farhan has taken away Takbeer to Moosa. It had to be the most childish thing ever but for her family to take it literally and her father threatening to kill everybody was really stupid.  Are they all mentally so disturbed to start a fist fight just because Takbeer and Farhan have gone somewhere without telling anyone?

Zakham episode 07 review.. a lame psychological thriller by now

Similarly Khawar was so upset that she had not taken good care of his child while he himself had complained last night to his sister that she gives too much attention to the baby. Makes no sense..

The only touching thing today was the conversation between mother and daughter. When Khawar broke Takbeer’s phone and she put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down, it looked very unnatural. He had blamed her wrongly and then slammed her phone into the wall. It may have been extremely sensible of her to relax him like that but it takes a super human kind of patience, which is highly unusual.

Basically, nothing happened in this episode that was of any significance. There were just some filler scenes which highlighted Takbeer’s confusion, Khalida’s arrogance, Khawar’s insecurities and craziness and Takbeer’s families’ typicalness. And we already kind of knew it ..

let’s hope for some improvement in the next episode..

actresses talk about their dads on Fathers Day

No one can deny the role of fathers in building us into who we are. And as one becomes a high achievers, it is natural to remember the person who inspired them to be one throughout childhood.

As we know, celebrity life is all about appointments, commitment and appearances, so it does not leave them much time to reflect about who and what matters the most in their lives. This Father’s Day, however, they all remember and celebrate the one man who is behind it all. The one man whose encouragement made them the stars they are today.. their fathers.

Sadia Khan also celebrated her father’s role in her life with touching words, “I count my father as my biggest blessing as he is my strength as well as my mentor especially when I lost my mother; I was in a bad state as I felt like I wouldn’t be able to survive. Now when I think of him I can’t even measure his greatness towards me as what I am today is only because of him. May Allah bless him today and always.”

Fia Khan speaks about her father’s role in shaping her personality and ethos. She said,

“My father is my everything. He has been my first love and best friend. He is someone I could always turn to no matter what kind of mistake I make and there were always two things which he said which I can never forget even today. Firstly any relationship which harms your mental and physical health is to get rid of immediately and secondly anything that happens happens exactly as you have thought it out to be so if you think of positive thoughts then positive things do happen. I just love him for living his life and showing us how to live it too.”

We loved these girls’ respect and fondness for their fathers. Truly, each and every daughter is a princess of her father’s heart.

Fahad Mustafa lashes out at Rishi Kapoor

Fahad Mustafa lashes out at Rishi Kapoor

The never-ending war between India and Pakistan continues and after Zaid Ali, Sheikh Rasheed , and Amir Liaqat, Fahad Mustafa speaks up.

Fahad, in his show Jeeto Pakistan, targeted the tweets coming from the Bollywood’s veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor, asking him not to do what is unexpected of him. Being a respectable celebrity , he should be careful not to hurt those who admire him as an artist. Winning and losing is in the hands of fate but staying calm and level-headed is in our own hands. He, furthermore, advised players from both the countries to act sensible and to give the message of peace to the world.

He added that the day of the final match will prove the winner and who will cry consequently.Until then, everyone should keep a cool head and act sensible.

After Hamza Abbasi , Sanam Baloch speaks out , responding to all those who have been making fun of Sarfraz’s English lately.

“Our cricketers neither go their to teach English nor to learn it. They are there to play cricket. The management officials should keep translators in order to facilitate all those who cannot speak or understand English since it is not their native language”

These were her words to all the haters who ridiculed Sarfraz for his “not so cool” English. She also mentioned how it is unwise and unfair to judge anyone on the basis of language and that had she been there in his place, she would have replied in Urdu instead.

Amjad Sabri Qawali Institute to open in August

“Amjad Sabri is not dead. He is among us, listening to us. People like him don’t pass away. Those who kill them die.”

These were the words of the culture minister Syed Sardar Shah in the event organised in the memory of late Amjad Sabri. Sabri’s family including his brothers and children enthusiastically participated in the event which was initailly scheduled to held on 22nd June but was held early .The show started with M. Wasi Nizami. It also included the wonderful performances by  Farid Ayaz and Abu Muhammad who also shed light on the life of Amjad Sabri.

Mr Shah also announced the making of a qawali Institute in the name of Amjad Sabri ,in Sindh as a tribute to him and his family. He briefed everyone about Billawal Bhutto Zardari’s meeting with the Sabri family in which he had already promised the making of an institute that will train the young qawals. Amjad Sabri’s heart-wrenching death a year ago shocked all his fans but Legends like him never die  and the Amajd Sabri Institute is indeed an example that will keep him alive in our hearts forever.

Amir Bhai disess Rishi Kapoor!

Love him or Hate him but you have to accept he is SAVAGE. Yes our very own Amir Bhai. We all remember the days when we first saw him as an extremely innocent host in Aalim Online. He started Ramadan transmissions, was accused of backing conspiracies when he was president of Neela Peela as he puts it (samajh to aap gaye honge!), hosted game shows, made people eat mangoes in most non-artistic ways and slammed Fahad Mustafa though now he loves him.

Amir Bhai disess Rishi Kapoor!

He has done it all. Lesson from all this recap: YOU DONOT DARE TO CROSS AMIR BHAI kyunki Aise nahin chalega! As Rishi Kapoor is on a rant against Pakistan these days he tweeted all the trash in the world and directed it towards Pakistan. One of his many non-hilarious tweets is:

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>PCB. Cricket team bhejna please.Earlier Hockey ya Kho Kho team bhejin thin. Kyon ki 18th June(Fathers Day) Baap khel raha tumhare saath lol!</p>&mdash; Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) <a href=”https://twitter.com/chintskap/status/875424104458862592″>June 15, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src=”//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

No worries Amir Bhai is there to answer and he proved again ke Aise nahin chalega:

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”hi” dir=”ltr”><a href=”https://twitter.com/chintskap”>@chintskap</a> <br><br>Pehle Haraya Tha &quot;Goroun&quot; Ko<br>Ab Harayenge &quot;Hram Khoro&quot; Ko<br><br>Paap, Baap Nahin Hota Kapoorey!!!</p>&mdash; Aamir Liaquat Husain (@AamirLiaquat) <a href=”https://twitter.com/AamirLiaquat/status/875496114094395392″>June 15, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src=”//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

Yes as always he went overboard but don’t blame him this time Kapoor sahab was really asking for it!

Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai Episode 11 Review – Aik Elan Aur Aik Khawab!

Ladies and gentlemen for the first time we are witnessing a drama in which playing mind games (continuously in every single scene) comes naturally to all the characters and somehow the viewers are expected to relate to these seriously twisted people who have zero problem solving skills. I honestly don’t remember the last time I saw a drama like this one on television in which people who talk like philosophers don’t even have brains that function well enough to solve simple problems! Making issue out of non issues is the pastime of every character in this play. It is overloaded with dialogues which remind you of those long tashreehs (explanations) you had to do in the Urdu papers in order to fill the required space even when the poem did not have enough substance, you just had to say a lot about it because the entire question was of 10 marks! That is exactly what the writer has done here, the characters and their stories are so simple and done-to-death yet his approach towards all these rather simple and even ridiculous scenarios is so serious that you wonder why he decided to put all his perspectives regarding love in this one serial!

When someone starts talking in this serial, you listen in the hope that they will say something that will blow you away (only because of the background score and those serious expressions!!) but then half way you completely lose track of the entire conversation because although there are a lot of difficult words and similes which are continuously being used in these dialogues but the fact is that the feelings of these characters can be expressed easily in a much simpler manner. The complications the writer has tried to present in this drama are completely forced. All these people, who are supposed to be intelligent and sensitive resort to weird and indirect clues in order to get their messages across which is extremely twisted. Conversations which can end in two sentences are dragged just to increase the duration of the scenes.

I am not sure when Waqar fell in love with Maheen because not very long ago he was going all out and supporting Gulrez but the way this entire track has been handled showed that none of the important developments in this play will be handled in an intelligent way. Ami Begum’s solution to all the problems is one of the most annoying aspects of this drama. She was actually contemplating giving Waqar his share and asking him to leave! Talk about taking extreme steps and yes that is exactly one of those things which showed the eldest person who everyone looks up to having zero problem solving skills!

I honestly felt for Shehzad sheikh and Imran Abbas both in tonight’s episode – yes I am talking about the actors and not the characters. Both of them have made their characters as likeable as was possible but the way these characters have been written makes it very difficult to connect to them. They don’t have definite traits and they just go with the flow! I don’t even feel like commenting on Ayeza Khan’s acting and outlook any more because she failed to keep the balance needed to make this character cute and not over the top or annoying. I don’t completely blame her for this because it is quite apparent that the director expected everyone to go overboard. Few of the actors  still managed to keep a balance however but Ayeza Khan is definitely not one of them. Also, the clothes she is wearing look completely out of place, they are cool but definitely not casual clothes which someone would wear on daily basis.

Maheen and Gulrez’s bachpan ki mangni was a shocker! No one ever mentioned that and if this was supposed to be the surprise twist then it was completely lame because Maheen was shocked and offended when she learned that Gulrez had proposed to her. Even Ami begum said so many times that she reacted like this because she wasn’t expecting it. If this was bachpan ki mangni then why was she shocked? Gulrez mentioned the khawab he never saw multiple times in tonight’s episode and the way Waqar’s “elan” shocked everyone was also completely lame; Wali later on told Neelam that they were all expecting just that! I am honestly shocked that this drama has turned out to be this lame!

How many of you watched this episode? Do share your thoughts about it.

Mahira spokeout on being compared to Saba Qamar!

Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar are no doubt the biggest female celebrities in Pakistan right now. Naturally they are compared time and time again be it an award show or their projects. As Hindi Medium just released and is running successfully at the box office earning over 100 crores now; Saba has become the second Pakistani actress to join the 100 crore club; first being Mahira with Raees.

Mahira spokeout on being compared to Saba Qamar!

In an interview with Hindustan Times Saba went to say: “Even Hindustan Times and Pinkvilla have compared me to Mahira Khan and given a verdict that my performance is far better than hers in Raees.”

Mahira spokeout on being compared to Saba Qamar!

When Mahira was asked by Instep about the so-called feud between the two stars she said:

“I think I’m the only actor who gets compared to everybody and I fail to understand why. That said, I’m a huge supporter of Saba Qamar. I’m a fan and I want her to do well, I am rooting for her, If people find it cool to bring me down, go ahead if it rocks your boat. Sometimes it does get a little hurtful and at times I just wish to be left alone, but as far as I’m concerned, I wish everybody well from the bottom of my heart and I think Saba, of all the people knows this better than anyone.”

Feud or no feud Pakistanis are proud of both the beauties for making the country proud with their talent and presenting themselves as respectable ambassadors of Pakistan. You go girls!

Rishi at 10!

Rishi at 10!

Seeing Rishi Kapoor as Younginder Vashish in Student of the Year, one could imagine how versatile of an actor Rishi Kapoor is but who knew that Rishi jee has similar impacts on his real life as well?

Rishi Kapoor has been targeting the Pakistan cricket team since the ICC champions Trophy tournament started. Some of the tweets were so shocking that they took his Pakistani fans by shock and they starting responding to him with a fair amount of hatred.

And then came out this video that explains the tweets fair enough and it is going viral. Ranbir Kapoor, upon asked about his father using tweeter, says it all. He explains that the reason Rishi Kapoor talks trash is mainly because he gets heavily drunk after 10:30 and that he has a lot to say ( that we can clearly see in his tweets: Rishi Kapoor Tweets)

Well now we know why Rishi Kapoor has been tweeting so often these days. Thanks to Ranbir and as for Rishi jee, we hope he does not drink too much in the final.

Does English Have Anything to Do With Intellect?

No, it does not. As a matter of fact, how fluently we speak the language of the west is by no means a reflection of our intellect or skill. Our ability to do absolutely anything is not directly linked to how flawlessly we pronounce words like “plural” or “Canada”, (I’m looking at you, all the people who make fun of their Phupos or Mamos for “Canada”). Please understand that we can laugh at mispronounced words and errors in verb placement all we want but it will never change the truth that is English has nothing to do with our intellect or skill and by making fun of broken English we do nothing but undermine a perfectly good human being and degrade their value down to a few syllables.

You’ve probably already seen the video of Sarfaraz Ahmed with his mumbling English in a press conference after a glorious victory against Sri Lanka. Our Indian neighbors were quick to start making jokes at his expense and ignored everything that he had accomplished that day.

Does English Have Anything to Do With Intellect?

Because that is what cowards do when they know they have no comeback, when they’re out of their wits they go for your English. And as refreshing as it was to see our nation come together and fight against this, we ourselves have been at the other side of the table far too many times.

We drove a girl to an anxiety disorder because we couldn’t handle her pride. “You’re” and “your” is apparently the end to every online debate. Why is it so hard for some people to understand that grammar Nazism will never be funny, but it will always be irrelevant. The English left us free but left behind their most damning chain, the English Language and we gleefully tied ourselves up. We used it as the divide between rich and poor, smart and stupid, modern and backwards. I understand that English is a global language and makes communication with the rest of the world easier. It is a powerful tool no doubt but a lack in proficiency in English does not mean a lack in anything else. In the words of Alif Allah aur Insaan Star, Ushna Shah “We, as a nation, are so inferior that we believe those who can speak faultless English are above the ones who can’t.”

We also seem to forget that even learning English is a privilege that many of us in Pakistan and India do not receive and making fun of someone for having to express themselves in a language they do not fully understand is nothing short of cruel. It reduces confidence not only in the ones we laugh at but our own mother tongue Urdu. The introduction of ‘Why English’ summed it up by saying, “The expansion of English continues to impact in negative ways on other languages and their cultures. While English opens the doors of privilege and access for some, often the few, the way many countries organise education systems means that the English door is closed for the many.”

Muhammad Ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi became the father of algebra without ever learning the difference between ‘there’ and ‘their’. Al Jazari wrote The Book of Knowledge of Indigenous Mechanical Devices without a care for which colon was more appropriate. Our forefathers were some of the most skilled and brightest minds of their era and they spoke, wrote and breathed their mother tongue. If they had been judged on their ability to speak a second language, would civilization have been the same today? If they had been ridiculed till their self esteem was shattered we might be reading a foreigner’s name in our books instead of theirs.

So please whenever you feel the need to correct someone over a misplaced adjective or a giggle over at word pronunciations, realize the effect you may have and the unnecessary of it. Realize that they may not have had the same advantages as you. Realize that English is just a language and nothing more. Realize that they are just as human as you.

Salman Khan’s Tubelight least expected in Pakistan

Salman Khan’s latest movie that revolves around the 1962 Sino-Indian war will be releasing on Eid ul Fitar all over the globe. Pakistan, however, has shown reluctance in this regard and the cinemas are set to show Yalgaar , a much-awaited Pakistani movie instead.

Salman Khan, disappointed with the least attention given by Pakistani supporters who have always loved his work , especially Bajrangi Bhai Jann, said that both countries should preach peace and should not let the boundaries affect it.

Pakistan’s alignment with China in the Sino-Indian war is why we are not so excited to watch Tubelight, specially on Eid ul fitar and with movies like Yalgar and Shor Sharaba releasing on Eid, Tubelight will definitely be not preferred over them. The movie will now be released after Eid in Pakistan.

Titlee Episode 22 Review – Interesting Developments

0

Finally, the story moved forward considerably and even though Ahmed’s attitude overall was yet again a little too compromising and apologetic but the reactions of all the other characters made perfect sense. The step Amir took to ensure that Naila could never file for her daughter’s custody had to be the best part of these latest developments. Amir has always been shown as someone who is more practical than compassionate especially when he is dealing with Naila. He gave her respect and love when she became a part of the family but he changed his behaviour towards her altogether when he realized what kind of a person she was. He was the only person in the family who did not go the extra mile to do things exactly the way Naila wanted and could always see how she was exploiting everyone in the family. Although Naila was apprehensive about giving custody of her daughters but at the same time she was desperate to have Rehan in her life and was willing to give up everything. Naila’s mother was there even at the time of her nikkah to show her support! She has always been the one who covered up whenever Naila did something outrageous and now once again she was shown supporting her daughter.

Watching Amna and Mariam move on with their lives and finally coming to the conclusion that there was no reason why they should miss their mother was definitely more relatable than watching them miss their mother in the previous episode. Ahmed’s concerns however did not make a lot of sense. I feel like there are times when the writer tries a little too hard to make sure that Ahmed comes across as someone who is incapable of hating someone or even feeling upset for something for too long which at times makes it difficult for me to relate to his character. Ali Abbas has definitely brought out the best in his character but there are times when his character comes across as the male version of those perfect bahus and wives we see on television all the time, who never complain no matter how their husbands and in laws treat them. It was however great watching the entire family getting over Naila soon enough and thinking about getting Ahmed married again. Someone like Naila should not be missed. Everyone in the family did whatever they could in order to ensure that Naila and Ahmed’s marriage worked out but now that it is over, there are a lot of reasons why they actually deserve to celebrate!

The preview of the next episode was very satisfying and showed that everyone will get what they deserve. Ahmed will get married to someone who deserves a loving person like him. Naila never gave him the love he deserved therefore he will value his new wife even more now. Naila and Rehan’s marriage however will not turn out to be perfect; I am waiting to see how this particular part of their track is covered. So far, Titlee has been very convincing, there are very few moments when you question certain reactions from the characters, otherwise it has been logical and easy to relate to. The drama has been stretched a great deal in these past few weeks but there is definitely hope now that we are heading towards an ending most viewers will like.

How many of you watched this episode? Do share your thoughts about it.

Pakistan drama industry -the road so far !

0

There were times when people would wait for their favourite dramas to be on aired on PTV . Be it a serial that would give you tears like ansoo , hawayen or be it a comedy sitcom like family front that would make you burst with laughter . The wait was endless , so was the curiosity.

The simplicity of the actresses along with their natural beauties , the hard work of directors and the refined works of the writers ,set the dramas apart. The stories depicted lives anyone could relate to . With no dramatic effects , the realistic touch would prove icing on the cake.

The legends Bushra Ansaari , Shagufta Ijaz , Talat Hussain , Rubina , Saba Hameed Showcased a fair amount of brilliance through their acting skills
Today , on the contrary , we live in times when we have dramas in large quantity but the quality remains equally less.
We no longer are aware of the numerous soaps being aired . The days are long gone when PakistanI dramas would leave everlasting effects on us. Starting from 1960s , we find that the elements which were once the soul of dramas are now missing completely . The quality content , the wonderous direction , the depiction and promotion of our national language and the beautiful culture of our own country  are now replaced by the quantity of content , the unrealistic and weak direction , promotion of language and trends which have never been parts of our culture
Nowadays , we watch dramas not for the sake of entertainment but for jolting down the fashion trends and the grandeur portrayed in dramas.
With the start of 21st century , our drama industry began to collapse by following the footsteps of Indian drama industry . The dramas like Kasak , Tere pehlo mein , Bahu rani , Mehndi Vale Hath,Vo rishte vo Naate are the epitomes of the Indian culture. The deviation from the culture resulted in a devastated drama industry and reviving it was the need of the hour .
The quest to earn more ratings than providing quality entertainment , the race for better rankings among the TV channels, lack of quality content from the writers and poor directions from the directors greatly influenced the downfall of drama industry.
Then came the times when the Pakistani drama industry was revived ( well, to some extent ) . With dramas like Alpha Bravo Charlie , Meri zaat zara e benishan , humsafar , Khuda ki Basti ,Dur e shehwar, Dastan , Daam , vasal , bol Meri machli , Udaari and many others which revolved around the dilemmas of our society, our industry took a new turn.
These were the times when people not only from Pakistan but from all over the world started admiring the works prouduced in Pakistan . The industry evolved and great writers and directors including Anwar Maqsood, Shoaib Mansoor, Umerah Ahmed , Wasi Shah , Sarmad khusat, Mehreen Jabbar ,  Yasir Nawaz , Saaif Hassan and Sakina Samo, Momina Duraid emerged. It is because of their hard work that the industry rose back to success .
The dramas produced did not only influence the nation but also brought changes within the society , however there’s still  a lot more to be attained. Life lesson along with provision of entertainment is the best combination any drama industry offers and Pakistani drama industry needs more improvement to get into the race.
Our drama industry has indeed shown an extra ordinary performance since its revival in 2005  but it still needs a lot of backbone in order to provide best entertainment to the audience

Mohabbat.pk Episode 1-3 Review – Perfection!

Ohkay so, the production of Momina Duraid Productions, writing of Mustafa Afridi & direction of Ehtashamuddin; Mohabbat.pk is Pakistan’s first Mini Drama Serial that commenced this week & has got everyone talking but then what else can be expected when the masters of their trade get together & bring something absolutely amazing for the viewers. Mohabbat.pk can easily qualify as an intelligent piece of writing through which the writer has unveiled a lot of social norms & trends in a very comical way. The way the internet & social media has taken everyone’s life by storm is the main theme of the drama, where some people are shown exploiting it & some are shown making the most of it. All the characters are unique & have so much of personality but then that’s given when you know it’s a Mustafa Afridi script.

The characters of Mohabbat.pk are:

Dada Jee: The conspiracist & Facebook addict
Jabir: A suspended Police Inspector
Zoha: Video Drama Reviewer & a hopeless romantic
Nazim: Shareef, God-fearing homeowner, too shareef for his own disadvantage
Mrs. Nazim: The nagger & anti-social media
Kazim: An angry young man & a gullible dreamer
Munni: The damsel in distress
Sikandar: The shameless opportunist
Nagina: Amreekan Pupho
Tehmina/Twinkle: Kazim’s fiancée
Ehtashaam: Mohallay ka spy & the maker of Fake ID Hot Aliya Alone
Tobi Maguire: Spiderman & Pathan

So, the story revolves around the families of homeowner & his tenant; Nazim & Jabir. Nazim (Anum Khalid), the homeowner lives with his wife Mrs. Nazim (Farah Shah) & his son Kazim (Agha Mustafa Hassan). Their tenants who are known as ‘Qabza Group’ are Jabir (Saife Hassan), Jabir’s father (Manzoor Qureshi) & his daughter Zoha (Sara Khan).

So, things get chaotic when Mrs. Nazim & Nagina (Nazim’s sister) have a verbal spat, that’s when Nagina decides that she wouldn’t allow her daughter Twinkle to get married to Kazim. Kazim being emotionally invested in the idea of going to Amreeka after his marriage gets upset. To add more to their woes, Munni (Beenish Raja) & her husband Sikandar (Hassan Noman) come to Nazim’s place because Sikandar’s parents demand ‘pauta’ from the couple, which Nazim mistakes as ‘pauda’. Just when they are dealing with these issues, Kazim goes for rent collection but is shooed away by Jabir after he intimidates him by showing his pistol which he would use back in the day when he was a policeman. This entire pistol intimidation scenario doesn’t sit well with Mrs. Nazim but just because Nazim is too nice & too scared to say anything to Jabir Yahoodi, Mrs. Nazim tries to rile her son up to stand up for himself & sadly its brunt is strategically faced by Zoha, whereas Kazim turns into a hero for his chicken-hearted family.

Mohabbat.pk Episode 1-3 Review - Perfection!

The Qabza Group could already sense that now that Munni & Sikandar have come to live with Nazim, he could anytime tell Jabir & Co. to leave their home. Considering Jabir’s track record of not paying rent on time, Dada Jee devises a plan which would guarantee them a permanent place in Nazim’s home because he is not only an intelligent conspiracist, but he is a bit too well aware of Nazim & Co’s sharafat & masoomiyat. Dada Jee tells Zoha & Jabir to keep their friends close & their enemies closer by displaying ‘munafqat ki mohabbat’ & in this case, the enemies are Nazim & his entire family. Upon Dada Jee’s instructions, Zoha takes the birthday cake & future dated check to Kazim & then she does exactly what her grandfather tell her, which is to instigate Kazim in such a way that he does something stupid & that’s exactly what happens.

Zoha being a video reviewer has a huge fan following on her YouTube Channel & all of her social media accounts, which is something that her Dada Jee wants to put to good use, that is why he stealthily makes the video of Kazim rubbing the birthday cake on Zoha’s face & things get rolling in their favor. Kazim is blackmailed by Zoha because more than living in his place, she wants a place in his heart as she loves him whereas her Dada Jee & father blackmail him for different reasons. Nazim tries to settle things down but just because he is simple & not too tactful, he falls prey to their trap & decides that Kazim will get married to Zoha while completely ignoring the fact that they not only intimidated his son but also blackmailed him using video as an evidence.

I loved how everything was linked & how one thing lead to another. I feel he has to be the coolest Dada we’ve seen in ages because I love the way he supports Zoha & her one-sided love whether it is for Pathan Spiderman or it is for Kazim. It was quite interesting to see Dada Jee being so tech savvy that he actually understood the power of social media & just because he knew that his granddaughter has made a name for herself, he decided to put it to good use. I enjoyed seeing Jabir & his antics too, just because he is suspended & can not afford to pay rent on time, he takes part in this blackmailing as well because he doesn’t mind living in Nazim’s house for free.

Mohabbat.pk Episode 1-3 Review - Perfection!

Nazim & his entire family sees Jabir as a Yahoodi who has taken over their territory exactly how Israel has taken over Palestine. Nazim’s family I feel is too shareef for their own disadvantage because even though they have all the right to give Jabir a notice, they in fact fall prey to their blackmailing. Nazim himself being too righteous feels that Kazim is at fault for insulting Zoha so badly & every time he & Sikandar bring out the issue of shooing Jabir & Co. away, they are stopped by Nazim himself as he is too lenient.

Zoha finally comes clean & tells Jabir & Dada Jee that she likes Kazim & just because Dada has got nothing else to do, he takes it another mission which he has to accomplish, which is to get his granddaughter the love of her life. Dada tells Zoha to spread the news of her engagement on social media so that later Nazim & Kazim can not back out. Dada also tells Jabir to spread the news throughout the lane so that everyone knows that Zoha is now engaged to Kazim. Things get a bit more interesting when Retired but the Dutiful Local Spy Ehtashaam tells Jabir that Kazim has a lose character & he is not suitable for Zoha. As usual, emotions get the better of Jabir & he physically assaults Kazim. I am sure that in stead of admitting their own mistakes, Dada Jee will now come up with another plan to make sure that Nazim doesn’t bat a lid on what Jabir did but in stead gets so engulfed in his own guilt that he forces Kazim to get married to Zoha by hook or by crook!

Mohabbat.pk Episode 1-3 Review - Perfection!

I must say, no one does justice to comedy like Mustafa Afridi. The way the writer has given so many flavors to this drama makes it a treat to watch. What I thoroughly enjoyed the most was seeing how Mustafa Afridi maintained a balance & gave us all sorts of characters, where we have Facebook/Social Media addicts like Dada Jee & Zoha, we also have Kazim who doesn’t even have a Facebook account. Where we have a very intelligent Dada Jee who keeps himself up to date with the International news, we have Nazim who is a laid-back drama buff. Where we have Zoha a hopeless romantic, we have Kazim who is a bit more practically in love with Twinkle because she is his ticket to America. We have Mrs. Kazim who sees Internet as the mother of all evils but then she is surrounded by people who are making the most of it to blackmail her entire family. We have Jabir who is sane but then even he gives in to his father’s conspiracies as far as they guarantee him some relief. We have Munni who is unhappy & contemplates about life but we then have Sikandar who is totally relaxed & cool with whatever course his life is taking & is not at all bothered to take control of the situation. As much as Kazim tries to take charge of the situation & wants to do things, we have his contrast in the form of Sikandar.

I must say while watching all the episodes & second episode especially, I couldn’t stop laughing as everything was just perfect, perfect dialogues, perfect timing, perfect writing, perfect direction & perfect acting. This drama might be short but it surely is sweet & has so much going on for it that you just can not keep track of time. The way the writer added the humor by touching the subjects of politics, Pakistani entertainment news, social media sensations throughout these episodes made me feel connected to everything in a very unique way. I even enjoyed the reviews of Yeh Raha Dil & Sang e Marmar, because I have reviewed both these dramas myself, so I enjoyed Zoha’s take on them quite a lot. References of Taher Shah’s Eye 2 Eye, Sahir Lodhi’s dialogue baazi ‘Are you God, are you Demi-God’, the constant mention of Israel/Palestine & America were a few gems that made me laugh out loud. It takes a lot of effort to convey comedy in such a convincing manner while still shedding a light on the issues that people might be faced with & I must say the team of Mohabbat.pk has achieved it phenomenally.

Also, a little news for the readers of Reviewit.pk, Saife Hassan was kind enough to let us; the team of Reviewit.pk know that he is the one who named this drama & he titled it Mohabbat.pk after Reviewit.pk. Also, the character of Zoha is inspired by us; the drama reviewers. :) It really means a lot to us because they have not only acknowledged the drama reviewers but our entire website, which is something huge. :) I remember watching a scene or two of Mohabbat.pk while reviewing Yakeen Ka Safar the other day & in that scene Zoha was reviewing Yeh Raha Dil, so I kind of felt happy that they are showing a character who is a drama reviewer, like I immediately related it to myself & after that we got to know that Reviewit.pk & its reviewers were the inspiration for them. As much as I loved Zoha’s Drama-Reviewer character, as much as I enjoyed seeing how enthusiastically she was voicing her opinions regarding the wrongs (according to her) that were shown in our dramas & as much as I laughed at seeing how casually she was into blackmailing, I must say the drama reviewers of Reviewit.pk are completely different from her haha! ;)

I must say all the actors who have performed in Mohabbat.pk have such a perfect comic timing because it is a pre-requisite to make any comedy work. Manzoor Qureshi, Saife Hassan, Farah Shah, Sara Khan & Hassan Noman deserve a special mention here because of the flawless portrayal of their characters. We all are by now well aware of Mustafa Afridi’s wit so the moment I knew he is the writer, I knew I was in for a ride. Ehtashaamuddin deserves full marks for directing this drama to perfection like everything about this drama is just perfect. I can’t wait for next set of episodes already as the precap suggested a lot more blackmailing, comedy & drama. Please share your thoughts about the first three episodes of Mohabbat.pk.

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
Zahra Mirza.

Sheikh Rasheed to Rishi Kapoor

After the outrageous attacks on Pakistan cricket team by the Indian actor Rishi Kapoor in his tweets, the Pakistanis are keen to watch the Pakistan team beating Indians in the final match of ICC Championship which will be held on Sunday.

Rishi Kapoor’s mockery on the greens made the Pakistan team supporters quite angry. In his latest tweet he criticized the greens by calling the Indian players their father.

“PCB. Cricket team bhejna please.Earlier Hockey ya Kho Kho team bhejin thin. Kyon ki 18th June(Fathers Day) Baap khel raha tumhare saath lol”

This is what he said in his tweet and who could have come up with a better reply to this than our very own Sheikh Rasheed Sahab ? In  his reply to Rishi Kapoor, he tweeted:

“Jin k Baap daado ko Pakistan nay paal pos k bheja ho ab woh humay dars dyngay Fathers day ka,”  “The same people will teach Pakistanis about Fathers Day whose forefathers were raised by the country itself.”

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”tl” dir=”ltr”>Jin k Baap daado ko Pakistan nay paal pos k bheja ho ab woh humay dars dyngay Fathers day ka. <a href=”https://t.co/HWCuXkHjyQ”>https://t.co/HWCuXkHjyQ</a></p>&mdash; Sheikh Rashid Ahmad (@ShkhRasheed) <a href=”https://twitter.com/ShkhRasheed/status/875496195317129219″>June 15, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src=”//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

The cold war continues between the Pakistani and Indian cricket fans and the final match will now decide who will be the winner but one thing worth remembering is that we should not try to let others down like this. Sportsman spirit is much needed here.

Saba Qamar says she might die playing Qandeel Baloch!

Talking to mid-day she said:“I can do regular roles at any point in my career, but it’s good to do something my fans will remember me for.” She totally backed Qandeel baloch as she said she was exploited: “The perception was that Qandeel Baloch made inappropriate videos, but no one knows why she did it… She did it to earn money and support her family. She wasn’t educated, but dreamt of becoming famous. She didn’t have any other option to fulfill her dream apart from taking to social media. She tried to do regular jobs, but wherever she went, she was exploited.”

Saba Qamar says she might die playing Qandeel Baloch!

Saba further said people should also be blamed for making her viral: “If anyone, it’s the people who need to be blamed for making Qandeel a social media sensation. If no one had followed her, she would not have made what she did. It’s they who are responsible for her death.”

Saba also said she faced a lot of criticism when first look of the film was released:“When we released the poster, the abuses poured in. If they are expecting an entertaining show, they will be disappointed. We are going to showcase the difficulties she faced, not glorify her. Either this show manages to change the way our community thinks, or I die doing it.”

Baaghi looks promising. Best of luck to all people working in the telefilm.

Regardless of how exams went and what future tests are in store for us, everyone is anxious either for themselves or someone they love. From a young age we’ve been told that these exams will set the path for our future and if we want success we have to ace these. There’s no other way around it, what we do right now will set the tone for everything to come in our future. But that isn’t entirely true. Sometimes we think we want something but the universe sets us in a track we could’ve never imagined for ourselves and it’s better than anything we hoped! So maybe right now you might feel like you won’t get into the university you’d always wanted and it may feel like your life is over but maybe you were meant for bigger and better things. These celebrities certainly thought they were on the right track but a change of fate made them the stars we all love and adore today. Can you imagine if Hamza Ali Abbasi had stayed as a Police officer? We’d never get the outspoken and straightforward Man Mayal star!

1. Junaid Jamshed

Famous Pakistani Celebrities and Their Education

The late Junaid graduated from Yanbu’ al Bahr in Saudi Arabia with hopes of joining the Pakistani Air Force as a fighter pilot but couldn’t do so because of his weak eyesight. He then joined the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, to study mechanical engineering, getting his degree in 1990. He worked with PAF as a civilian contractor and had a short career in aeronautical engineering as well.

How did music make its way into his life and lifted him to stardom?

In 1983, Jamshed, while still a student, began performing in Islamabad and Peshawar University. During one of his performances, he was supposed to meet with Rohail Hyatt, who was searching for some talent to join his band ‘Vital Signs’ but couldn’t because of bad weather. It was four years after the two met again and Jamshed was added to the singing group. All’s well that ends well!

PM announces funds for film revival and artists welfare!

The statement released by PM Office said:

“Directions of the Prime Minister regarding Pakistan’s Film Industry

Art and artists are those trustees of the bright traditions of the Pakistani society which have played a significant role in keeping alive the national identity, culture and heritage at the global level besides carving a niche for Pakistan among the alive and conscientious nations.

Reviving the film Industry was the our top most obligation. It gives me immense pleasure to announce the biggest ever special package in the history of Pakistan for the artists and workers associated with this industry which surely is the fulfillment of yet another promise like our other pledges. Unfortunately Pakistan and its self-respecting people have witnessed heinous acts of terrorism in the streets, mosques and public places during the last many years. But by the grace of God owing to the sacrifices of our valiant forces and security agencies and unswerving determination of the nation, terrorism has been stopped in its tracks and incidents of terrorism have been considerably reduced.

The recent history is witness to the fact how enemies of Islam and the country targeted the innocent minds with misleading concepts which promoted terrorism in the country. The comity of nations interpreted our distorted identity according to their own perceptions.

The youth who are the future of this country remained captive of a scary mindset. To extricate the youth from that horrible situation and terrorism, we are trying to provide alternate avenues of entertainment to them. We are aware of the fact that quality entertainment revolves around availability of playing fields, recreations parks, tourism and cultural activities, the nucleus of which is the revival of the film industry.

Today I feel proud to accord status of Industry to the amorous body of films on the recommendations of the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, which is the continuation of the policy that we announced in 1992. Apart from this, relaxation in financial laws pertaining to films and exemption from taxes should also be given. The domain of art and literature includes all those honorable people we call writers and poets. A comprehensive package will also be prepared for these honorable personalities and fine arts. Under this package National Film and Broadcasting Commission, National Film Institute and an Academy will be established that will have a studio equipped with latest technology and gadgets compatible with the requirements of the modern times. For the welfare and financial assistance to the artists I also announce the establishment of Prime Minister’s Artist Welfare Fund so that the dignity and self-respect of these talented individuals could be safeguarded.

Each nook and corner of this land of the pure testifies to the beauty of God. In this context the foreign film makers will be given special concession for making films on cultural, historic and tourists spots so that through this medium tourism at the national and international level can be promoted.

Special concession will be given on the import of equipment related to the film industry so that the bright and beautiful face of Pakistan can be shown to the world and the Pakistani film producers have all the facilities available at home for which they have to go abroad. We have to go even beyond this with a view to ensure that every person connected with this industry is duly encouraged. In this context the government has decided to accord complete exemption on entertainment tax. More concessions will be made in regards to the income related to film and entertainment. Special benefits and concessions will also be allowed on investments in such ventures which help in introducing our dignified past, exemplary heritage, worth emulating culture, distinguished literature and infallible beauty of tourism to the youth who are architects of our future.

To help the film and Broadcasting Industry and the fine arts I announce the institution of Prime Minister’s Film Finance Fund which I am sure is a rare step. I am sanguine that the inclusion of the film and Broadcasting Industry in the national milieu will give further boost to the Pakistan economy which is already striding on the path of sustained economic development.
I am confident that these steps taken at the level of the government will go a long way in removing the difficulties and impediments connected to the film Industry. I am also proud of the fact that our land has produced such personalities in the field of fine arts whose imprint will help different nations to move ahead for all times to come. I am hopeful that our youth, like in other fields, will spare no effort to make their contribution in the domain of films to win laurels for Pakistan. In this endeavor they will always find the elected government standing with them. I direct the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage to present this package in implementable form for the approval of the government, after consultations with the Ministry of Finance and other relevant institutions.”

The package is based on recommendations by the Ministry of  Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, and the PM has directed the ministry to present a draft in consultation with the Ministry of Finance and other relevant departments to the government for approval.

Whether the packages reach the said parties or not time will tell. For the time being it is a good news for film industry and artists.

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

Being alive is a blessing , they say . There are times when life appears before you as a bed of roses but just like every bright side has a twin sister known as the dark side , there are OTHER times as well which can make you dwell into existential crisis.

1: When you intend taking over the world and you’re all set but then the oh-you-can-do-it-tomorrow feeling drops by  and you bid goodbye to your motivational spirits .

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

2: When you see your ex getting engaged to someone else and you’re shut inside your room , crying rivers , cursing the couple and listening to -“dill ke armaan ansoon mein beh gaye !”

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

3: When all your diet and workout plans go wrong and all you do is – can’t stop eating !

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

4:When you know you’re multi-talented but none of your world-conquering ideas really work.

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

5:When you see your friends doing great with their social lives and you , on the other hand , sit alone. The idle feels make you realize how you’re so socially awkward ( sighs)

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

6: When all your friends are getting married and you’re still single , ready and hoping to mingle.

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

7: You scrutinize your personality , in search of talents and things you’re good at but ,in vain ! …you’re not even good at house stuff ! :/

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

8:And the most sucking moment is when you’re done with studies but can’t get yourself to decide what to do with your life . Oh the feels here are absolutely despondent !

8 Times You see a loser in Yourself!

These times suck , for they make you question your good for nothing existence and you wonder ” what even am I doing with my life? “

Maria Wasti starring in Junni Zayed’s music video

The super talented Maria Wasti has always been very professional and very original in all her performances. The actress has come a long way from her initial dramas and gathered many admirers along the journey.

Now she is appearing for the first time in a music video. The song is by Junii Zayed and Maria has explained that he is a very dear friend of her and she wants to support him in every way, including lending her face to the videography of his song.

In the heat of this season, Maria is shooting in a beautiful heavy gharara but she really seems to be enjoying herself. In her own words, shooting a music video is a different but interesting experience and the setup and and acting is quite similar working in plays, with the addition of music though.

She says that she will consider doing music videos in the future as well,  as long as she likes the song and backdrop.

Here is a scene from the sets of video, posted by Junii himself.
