Parwaaz Hai Junoon has been talk of the town for a while now but this time it is for all the wrong reasons. The wardrobe stylist of the film has recently filed a case against the production banner, MD Productions, that is producing the film.

Soomar Rehman, the wardrobe stylist of Parwaaz Hai Junoon who has done the wardrobe styling for the film, stated that the vice president of MD Films, Osman Gillani has failed to mention his name as wardrobe stylist in the credits of the film teasers that have been released over the past few weeks.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, he said,

“The film’s shoot was completed and the producer of the film later ended the contract without any prior notice over a telephone call that no further styling is required for the film. My commitment to the film was rightful and I dedicated my time and hard-work with loyalty and it is evident from my work.”

He further claimed that the production head of the film had assured him that since he had provided the wardrobe styling for the entire film, he would be credited. Hania Aamir, who stars in Parwaaz Hai Junoon, has also credited Soomar in her Instagram posts implying that the latter did indeed provide wardrobe styling for the film.

Soomar mentioned that the teasers failed to mention his name and no one from the team had informed him of this change either. He then sent a legal notice demanding a reply within two days but received none.

He further added,

I, first, went to the office to inquire why my name wasn’t mentioned in the first teaser. The production head, Mahesh Waswani, apologised and said that he would include it in the next teaser but it wasn’t mentioned in the second one either. Upon receiving no response, I went ahead with lawful proceedings by sending a court notice. The first hearing of the case will be held, on Monday, April 30,”

The case has been filed claiming damages and restraining order against the vice president, production head of MD Films and MD Productions. HUM TV has been also mentioned as the proforma party on the legal papers as HUM TV is the official distributor of the film Parwaaz Hai Junoon.

Waqar Zaka has been in the news a lot lately mainly due to the suggestions he has been giving those at the helm of affairs. He can easily be termed as someone who is not afraid to take risks but this time around he took risks for others and it backfired. A few days back Waqar Zaka was in the news because of his videos in which he informed people about the importance of ‘crypto’. He also made tall claims that ‘crypto’ could be the answer to all of the economic problems being faced by the Pakistani government.

Surprisingly enough, there were a lot of young people who followed his lead and had complete faith in him. So much so that they were backing him up so much that Waqar Zaka was actually trending on Twitter for days. Waqar Zaka also has a private Facebook group where he shares his secrets regarding investing in ‘crypto’ with those who pay him for being part of this group. This group goes by the title ‘Waqar Zaka’s Private Group’ and within a few days, it had around 50,000 members. He charges each member Rupees 1500 per month for his ‘services’. A few days ago, Waqar announced that he had been hired as a crypto expert by the Government of Pakistan.

Now, with the great historic dip in the ‘crypto’ market, Waqar Zaka’s followers are naturally not happy with him at all. They have lost thousands of dollars. Therefore, their mentor has turned into someone they know they cannot trust anymore! They are expressing their anger and disappointment continuously. Waqar Zaka has always had an opinion about the most controversial of topics in Pakistan and he has no qualms about expressing them. He had received quite a backlash after his posts on social media forums.

This time the actor and host has spoken up about Qandeel Baloch, Pakistan’s most controversial social media star who was murdered at the hands of her younger brother. She has been in news recently both due to her death anniversary and also in the wake of Baaghi, an Urdu1 drama that has been promoted widely. The drama will be airing shortly and veteran actress Saba Qamar will be playing the main character, Qandeel Baloch. There has been many speculations as to whether the drama will glorify her life and death or will be used as a medium to denounce evils of all kinds in our society.

Amidst all the questions and answers about Qandeel, look at what Waqar Zaka has to say about her a day ago;

He wants people not to pay tribute to her just because she was murdered by a man. His point is that when you would not associate with Qandeel in her life or share anything about her because it was agreed by almost everybody that her activities were disgraceful, why would you want to glorify her now? Just because she was killed wrongly? She was wronged in the end but that does not make all the wrongs she had committed by choice take a right turn.

If there is one person who can give Amir Liaquat a run for his money then it has to be Waqar Zaka. He like the former is always in news and for all the wrong reasons. His controversial show on ARY Musik still rules the viral world. Every now and then a new video from his show’s audition appears and becomes viral. And of course who could forget the rumors of him getting married to Sanam Jung. It was the favorite gossip of its time. Also, his ‘Maine Apko Kya Bola Boss’  line became a huge hit when he got into a brawl at a restaurant.

But this time he isn’t in news for any such thing. Apparently, a Facebook page Times Of Karachi has reported that the host has been arrested by Karachi Police. Now, that in itself is a big shock to fans. Now you must be thinking why’s been arrested? So according to the FIR registered against him he was caught possessing Liquor and Sheesha.

Waqar has quit doing his TV show as he said that he did not wanted censorship to be imposed on him. He’s been active on his social media ever since. According to him the latter gives you enough freedom to express.

Waqar Zaka is most commonly known as the host for the show called “Living on the edge” ever since then he became a social activist and is known to make the headlines on and off because of something he said or did or was done to him anyway he has done it again, this time he has slammed the academy award winner Sharmeen Obaid and critically acclaimed director Shoaib Mansoor for cashing Pakistan’s bad image.

In his recent video Waqar Zaka claims that in the name of ‘awareness’ people like Sharmeen and Shoaib are only making money, if they truly want to aware the masses why don’t they upload their films on social media forms or show them for free.

He further added that cinema is a form of entertainment and people watch movies to be entertained while Sharmeen and Shoaib make the kind of movies that only depress the audience he went on and said that it’s like buying depression.

He used 18+ language and openly accused both directors of taking advantage of Pakistan’s situation, he said that we are all well aware of the dire situation the country is in but cinema is for entertainment not for such depressing films also if both of them really wanted to do something for the cause they could have used the money they invested in the films to help facilitate the victims in getting jobs or education etc.

He further accused Shoaib of always trying to stand out, he said that when everyone was working on meaningful projects Shoaib Mansoor introduced a comedy show named “Fifty Fifty‘ and now that most of the industry is focused on comedy shows he is bringing the serious topics in because he wants to stand out.

He reviewed Verna by saying that after watching a movie like that all women will be scared of being raped and if kids watch it they will be encouraged to rape because kids usually get inspired by movies and the heroes and villains in them.
