Sherdil is the upcoming Airforce movie of Pakistan. The film stars Mikaal Zulfiqar, Armeena Rana Khan and Hassan Niazi in the leading roles and the trailer has shown that the film is high on patriotism and drama. Mikaal Zulfiqar is playing a Pakistan Airforce officer while Hassan is playing the part of an Indian.
The release of the film is drawing near as it will hit the theatres on the 22nd March and the team of the film is all busy promoting it. Mikaal Zulfiqar and Hassan Niazi both showed up at Juggan Kazim’s show as the team also brought Mikaal’s Squadron leader statue.
Team Sherdil is promoting the film in their best style. Let’s see how it performs at the box office, as the political situation is also favouring the film. Check out some pictures from the show:
It is a festival like season in Pakistan as cricket has come home and we have 8 matches that are being held in Pakistan. This time Karachi is the one where we will be watching all the matches taking place and the team of the city, Karachi Kings is also playing well.
A dinner was arranged for the team and many of the stars were spotted at the sad party. From Areeba Habib, Sonya Hussyn, Sadaf Kanwal to Adeel Hussain and Mehwish Hayat, we saw many stars there and the glitz and glam were on an all-time high. Check out the pictures below:
Mehwish Hayat is one of the most talented and beautiful actresses we have in our industry. The lady has always impressed everyone with her flawless portrayal of characters and has managed to make a place for herself without going the Bollywood route. Mehwish Hayat is right now one of the best actresses we have in the film industry too. She has been a part of back to back hits and has played a major role in reviving the cinema.
It is a great day for the actress as she has been announced as a recipient of Tamgha e Imtiaz. She will be honoured with the highly prestigious civil honour on the 23rd of March, 2019 by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi for her contribution to the entertainment industry.
Congratulations to Mehwish Hayat from our side on this tremendous achievement!
Meesha Shafi came out on Twitter some time back as she accused rockstar Ali Zafar of harassment. The fight got uglier and uglier after that as both the stars have been fighting it out in the courts. There are statements coming from both the counsels of both sides all the times as the hearings take place.
Both the stars have filed their cases and look like Ali Zafar just filed another criminal case against Meesha Shafi for fraud. According to the legal counsel of Ali Zafar, Meesha Shafi has been wasting the court’s time and has not even appeared for the case although she was in the country as the photographs of the star attending Aurat March were on the social media.
A case under section 476 of the law has been filed against Meesha which is against forged documents, misrepresentation, misstatement and fraud. Let’s see how far this fight will go or either an agreement will be reached or not!
Web series are coming to Pakistan and more and more creators are jumping to the bandwagon. It is great to see the content getting updated and newer stuff becoming available for the viewers. Wajaht Rauf is the first director to release a web series in Pakistan titled Enaaya starring Mehwish Hayat and Azfar Rehman.
Now, we will be seeing ace director Mehreen Jabbar coming out with a web-series and it will star Bilal Abbas Khan. Bilal Abbas Khan has been more or less ruling the screens these days with Balaa first and Cheekh which is on-air right now. He will also be starring in a Pakistan Day special telefilm, Laal.
The web-series is written by Umera Ahmed and having Mehreen Jabbar in the director’s chair, we can be sure that this is going to be a big one!
Ohkay so, it is a known fact by now that the story of Deedan is bad & the direction is even worse. Unfortunately, I have invested quite a lot of time in this drama, that is why I have continued to watch it this far & honestly speaking, every single week when I think that they can’t stoop any low, they surprise me by crossing one limit after another & it just baffles me that a renowned actress like Sanam Saeed chose to work in this drama!
Extra Marital Affair:
Resham has once again eloped with Zardab & since then, she has stayed safe with the help of Sara & Palwasha. First Sara was the one who provided shelter to both Resham & Zardab & now it is Palwasha who with the help of her loser husband brought Resham to her house.
The most sickening aspect of this story is that a married pregnant woman is having an extra marital affair & everyone seems to support her. Yes, she is the victim in this entire scenario but the fact remains that she is still legally married to Gulbaz. If Resham or anyone had filed for divorce straight away then it would’ve still seemed justified that she is involved with Zardab but it is disgusting to see that no one is even bothered about this issue. Resham hates that she got pregnant & she sees this child as her enemy because Zardab doubted her character & questioned her intentions because of this child. This is yet another gruesome scenario of this drama where an unborn child who is completely innocent already has so much of a baggage attached to it because his/her mother is in love with a man who has proved to be a good-for-nothing so far.
So far, Zardab has only eloped with Resham what, thrice? & he has only spoken of his love but he has done nothing to prove it. I am amazed that till now, no one has decided to hire a lawyer to get Resham a divorce from Gulbaz so that she can start a normal life with Zardab? The writer has really tried to evoke sympathy for Resham but for now, that seems to be out of question. Yes, Zardab did save her life but right now, all these people like Sara & even Palwasha have done nothing to turn Resham’s life in a different direction where she can stop living in fear.
To be honest, as much as they are trying to show Palwasha as another victim trapped in a crappy marriage, the entire sympathy goes out of the picture when I see her falling for Alam Zeb’s lies time & again. It is actually quite amusing that despite being an independent working woman, Palwasha lets Alam Zeb fool her & exploit her to no end. Palwasha has made up her mind that she doesn’t love Alam Zeb anymore but the fact that she gave him a chance thinking he let Resham stay with them because he loved Palwasha had to be the most stupid thing ever.
Closing Thoughts – What’s The Purpose?
So many episodes have gone by, but I still do not understand the purpose of this drama, this story? There are two women, in totally different setting that are similarly being exploited & mistreated? So? I still find it disgusting how they have glorified an extra marital affair & have shown the guilty as some superwoman who is fighting to be with the love of her life? Who by the way is also not such an ideal personality. I must say the guy playing the role of Alam Zeb is annoying to the core & his hideous shirts & that fake forced accent do not help either. This drama seems like a joke to me & it has seriously forced me to think that Sanam Saeed has lately started to sign such dramas which guarantee her paid travelling – first Dil Banjara which was another flop drama & now Deedan? Seriously? It is unfortunate how the direction of this drama is just so so so bad. Those random Pashto dialogues out of nowhere, trying to reinforce that they all are Pukhtoons is such a bad attempt. It is another disappointing & unforgivable aspect that they have literally made a joke out of Pukhtoon culture & Pukhtoon people. This is not justified. Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Deedan.
Zarrar is a film everyone has been waiting for, for quite a long time since it was announced by Shaan Shahid. ShaanShahidd is playing the lead character and he has also directed the movie. This is going to be an action-packed film based on some true events. The news has been that the film will be released finally this year.
The teaser of Zarrar is about to drop this Pakistan Day. We will again see Shaan performing a role like he did in Waar and may be this is going to be a huge one since the patriotism level is very high in the country due to the on-going tension which started due to our neighbouring country trying to breach the LOC.
Let’s wait and see if Zarrar is going to impress everyone or is it going to look repetitive!
The birthday celebrations are in full swing these days, with all the celebrities throwing huge parties to celebrate their birthdays. It was Sadia Ghaffar’s birthday and she celebrated it with her friends and celebrity sisters, Sajal Aly and Saboor Aly. Both the sisters had a lot of fun at the birthday and looked like having a lot of fun.
Sajal was dressed up in a casual white tee and jeans with her hair straightened and natural makeup while Saboor opted to pair her jeans with a sky-blue turtle neck. Sadia was also in her casual style. Check out the birthday pictures:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast after a lot of episodes was really good. After quite a few weeks, I did actually feel that I was watching the same drama that I loved & enjoyed watching before. Unfortunately, since so much wrong has happened; they are now going to focus on the severe & grave consequences, which kind of made me sad but then they also opened up a new chapter of hope & light which compensated a great deal, but I am still not sure how I feel about it, but overall, I enjoyed watching this episode of Khud Parast.
What Goes Around, Comes Around:
In this episode, they showed almost everyone paying the price for what they have done, reaping the rewards of what they sowed & none of them got spared, which actually is how the karma rolls. This is what the story of Khud Parast is all about, it has emphasized on how being selfish & wrongdoer will get one nowhere & now everyone is facing the brunt, one way or the other.
Asma did start the conversation about Hanan & Beenish’s marriage which obviously didn’t sit well with Hanan but out of respect, he allowed her to complete what she wanted to say. All the things Hanan said to his friend about Beenish went to show that he thinks about her, not for any other reason but just because he has seen her for a long period of time, wasting her life away for someone. I liked how despite knowing what Asma said to him, he kept his demeanour exactly the same, just the way it used to be in front of Beenish. Hanan on own his might be doing some thinking but he never once let it show to Beenish or made her uncomfortable. It was also sweet how Hanan inquired about his mother from his friend but then assumed that she must have forgotten him, sad.
The conversations that Beenish & Hanan had were my favourite parts of this episode. I still don’t think they should end up together but yes, when they two are interacting, it is always a pleasant conversation where Beenish always guides him & helps him put the pieces of puzzles at the right spot. Hanan did ask Beenish about his & her mistake, something that was bothering him all this while & all the things Beenish said were so accurate. Hanan did realize that he expected Uswa to be the ideal wife but never once paid attention to the fact that he should also try to be an ideal husband for her. Beenish has realized that she let the oppressors oppress her even more because she chose to suffer in silence which ended up becoming her weakness & made her vulnerable. Beenish lead life thinking she was nothing without Moeez & that she had to put up with him but now the circumstances have taught her that she can do so much better & it is good to see her attaining confidence in herself.
Uswa has finally started seeing Adeel for who he is rather it can be said that Adeel has started to show his true colours. He has gotten all the money that Uswa had & he is using it to his heart’s content. At least Adeel’s father feels for Uswa but his mother is no different to Bakhtawar who believes that a wife should put up with all that her husband does & should allow him the liberty & freedom that he desires. Uswa is getting frustrated but so far she hasn’t done anything outrageous to be heard. She is giving one warning after another but Adeel stays unaffected. The first shock that Uswa got was of Adeel’s disloyalty & the second she got was finding out that she will never be able to have a child. Zarina as well as Khatoon Bibi have finally pushed Uswa to the verge where she started thinking that things were going wrong because of a reason & everything was deliberately slipping away from her as well as all those around her who once supported her in ruining Hanan & Beenish’s life. Khatoon Bibi faced her consequences too & unfortunately, Zarina is dealing with her own as well.
Moeez chose not to even recognize Bakhtawar. All this while I used to wonder what will happen to Moeez but in this episode, I kind of got my answer. Hanan did mention that Moeez’s competitor hired him so it looks like Moeez will lose all of his business & go bankrupt, that is when his wife will leave him too & he will be left alone, empty handed. Well, it does seem like a right thing to happen to Moeez but yes, I want someone to rescue Bakhtawar, be it for the sake of apologizing to Beenish & Hanan but she should not just die like this.
Closing Thoughts – Meaningful Conversations:
Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was really nice with a lot of meaningful & deep conversations to its credit. I can say it was after week that I enjoyed watching this drama. Next episode holds even more trials for Uswa & I want to see how she will finally be broken & shattered. All the actors have done a great job especially Shehzad Sheikh, he really has made Hanan’s character special & very likeable. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.
Ohkay so, it was a brilliant episode of Cheekh & it reminded me of those initial episodes which kept me engaged right from the beginning till the end. Finally the main phase of the story has kick-started & I can’t wait to see how things will unravel in the future. I loved the way this episode was edited especially because it kept the suspense going & made it a very interesting watch.
Mannat Has Opened Up The Case:
Mannat knew she was better than this, she knew she had this in her but till now, she wasn’t pushed to the limit. Mannat mourned the death of Nayab for a long time & just when everyone around her thought that the best solution for her was a change of place, a time away from everyone here, Mannat did agree but still her heart wasn’t at ease. What pushed Mannat was her interaction with Shamsa. Even though so far Shamsa hasn’t said anything productive but this time around, she definitely deserves the credit for pushing Mannat to that limit where she finally decided to do what was right. Mannat at first thought she should help Ramzan but when she saw him in that condition, it was what convinced her that she shouldn’t turn her back towards him, she just shouldn’t run away from Nayab & the truth. The expression that Mannat had on her face when she left the police station said it all, after a long long time, probably for the first time Mannat felt at ease, she felt empowered & confident that she could do this. I loved how it was shown that even though Mannat must’ve taken the impulsive decision to file an FIR against Wajih, but as the episode progressed she regained her calm & composure & fed it to herself that yes, she has waged a war against the culprit so now, all she has to do is stand firm on her ground.
In this episode, I really liked how Yawar came to the forefront & started doing everything he could to protect his younger brother. Although Yawar knows that Wajih is a murderer, for now he only wants to save him & his entire family from getting humiliated. So, Yawar met this friend who happens to be a lawyer (Shabbir Jaan) & just that one powerful scene was enough to showcase the kind of morals & values he professionally holds. For him, maintaining his track record is what matters the most & he clearly mentioned that he will not even think twice before crossing the limits to make sure he wins the case.
Wajih thought he had won this case, with Mannat leaving, he actually thought he was in a clear & this chapter was closed but what Mannat did shook him to no end. What Wajih feels for Mannat now is sheer hatred. At first Wajih did still maintain some kind of line with Mannat because he had this idea that she won’t harm him so he decided not to be reckless with her but now when he will come back, he has made up his mind that he won’t spare her.
Yawar decided to finally call & involve Shayan in this matter because he saw how the situation that seemed in control just blew out of proportion. This was yet another way or probably one of the first attempts of Yawar to pressurize Mannat to take the case back & withdraw the FIR. I loved the little interaction that Yawar had with Mannat, it was like at that moment, he finally realized that Mannat was never going to back out. She will not succumb to any pressures, Yawar saw that in her eyes & the satisfaction on Mannat’s face after Wajih’s arrest actually distressed Yawar even more.
So, Ramzan is out & Mannat is now mustering up the courage because she knows it is going to be a long journey & this is just the beginning. Wajih crossed all the levels of tortures with Ramzan only because of one slap, so I am just wondering what he will do to Mannat now that she sent him to the jail. I am glad that from next week Shayan will be in the picture too, looks like Mannat will have a lot of explaining & convincing to do, to make him understand & realize. I am glad that they have kept things very very real & there’s not even a single character or scenario that seems overboard or unrealistic. Superb!
Closing Thoughts – Bilal Abbas As Wajih Is Convincing:
Overall, this episode of Cheekh was simply brilliant. I am glad that after a few slow episodes, they finally moved things forward & also introduced a new character. I have seen a lot such comments where viewers are of the opinion that Bilal Abbas is unconvincing as Wajih & they think some character actor should’ve played this role. Honestly speaking, ever since this drama began I never really had any opinion about him but while watching this episode, Bilal Abbas as Wajih made a lot of sense to me. I think they have done a right thing by assigning Wajih’s character to Bilal Abbas & they have given this character this kind of personality where he seems sweet, innocent & a guy-next-door because of which no one can actually imagine that he’d do something like this & this is what makes things harder for Mannat to convince people that he is the culprit. Usually, we never really know but the most innocent & nice looking people can have such evil intentions & criminal tendencies that after you find out, the first reaction is that of not being able to believe that someone like him could do something like this. In Cheekh, this is what Wajih’s character is all about too – a nice, innocent looking guy, everyone’s favourite & seemingly gentle & harmless person who has succeeded in making this impression on others, but in reality, he has this side to his personality that no one ever knew existed. So yes, I totally see Bilal Abbas as the right choice because I am glad they didn’t show that the criminal should have some kind of creepy aura or something odd about him, people who look very normal can commit such crimes as well. Yes, the only complain I have with him is the mumbling that he does & he definitely needs to work on it. Saba Qamar & Aijaz Aslam were the stars of this episode – loved their acting & expressions. It seemed like they both are two forces to be reckoned with & they both were doing all in their might to make sure they get what they want. Direction is flawless & so is the editing. Very impressed & super excited to watch the next episode. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Cheekh.
This was yet another thoroughly entertaining episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi filled with meaningful conversations. Apart from a screenplay which continues to be appealing and enticing even after 19 weeks, the dialogues have been written beautifully. These dialogues capture the beauty of Urdu language and at the same time never sound artificial. The exchanges between different characters are always meaningful. Even the most ‘amusing’ scenes covering Bhola’s innocence give further insight into the character and make the viewers connect with this character. The conversations in this episode too added to the story and gradually all the plots are moving forward to a different direction.
Meaningful and Entertaining
Every single scene tonight was a treat to watch since it added something new to the story, some of these scenes created suspense and made you wonder how the story will unfold in the future. Tonight’s episode opened with Sahir’s meeting with Fehmida and Komal, a conversation which later on made Noori think about Sahir once again. Bhola’s failed attempt to apologize was amusing but at the same time it showed how Rizwana’s words hurt Bhola. Noori’s comforting words were taken equally seriously by him and everything which Bhola said made Noori feel uncomfortable. Chacha’s conversation with the doctor this time around clearly showed that there was definitely foul play there. Nusrat is getting more desperate since he is not used to being held accountable for his actions. Fehmida trusts this man blindly and till now he has been getting away with everything. Now all of a sudden, Noori questions his actions and also wants to be an active part of decision making especially when it comes to Bhola.
The Best Scenes
I really enjoyed watching Sahir’s scenes tonight since they piqued my curiosity and made it impossible to predict how he will change the dynamics of the story in the future. Sahir kept you guessing as usual, he came across as a genuinely nice person when he was talking to Fehmida. He did not even look at Komal once or showed interest in her. When he heard Nusrat talking to the doctor on the phone, he looked worried. Most importantly, he is never shown trying extra hard to make Nusrat’s family like him nor does he take interest in matters which do not concern him but at the same time he is wise enough to guess when something is not right. Syed Jibran has given this character the right treatment by underplaying it. He does not give you a lot of reasons to dislike Sahir and you have to constantly remind yourself that this is the same man who betrayed Noori.
Noori and Fehmida’s scenes are always the highlight of every episode. These two understand and respect each other more than anything else. Tonight, when Fehmida asked Noori to apologize to Nusrat, she did not argue with her. The highlight of this episode was Fehmida asking Noori if she wanted to study further. The viewers were eagerly looking forward to watching Noori continue her education therefore this was the best part of this episode.
Komal and Noori’s scenes were also beautifully put together. In one of these conversations, Noori was reminded of Sahir and in the other one she explained in detail the lessons she had learnt from her relationship with Sahir.
Well-Developed Characters
All the characters in this play continue to be real, solid, nuanced as well as multifaceted. Each character has a specific goal, a purpose and every little detail about these characters has been translated on screen with utmost clarity. These characters have not only been etched-out perfectly by the writer but the actors playing these roles have breathed tangible life in them.
Outstanding Performances
Imran Ashraf has added different dimensions to his character by making sure that no scene is ever flat. Iqra Aziz has been extremely impressive as Noori especially because Noori’s character has so many different sides. Asma Abbas is exceptionally graceful and likable as Fehmida. Syed Jibran, Ammara Butt and Munazzah Arif ‘s performances tonight were also right on point as usual. Kashif Nisar deserves a lot of credit for keeping these performances real and impactful throughout. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi just gets better with every passing episode because it has so much to offer. It seems like the new medicine Nusrat is giving Bhola will make things even more difficult for everyone involved.

Even though Chammi and Alia got plenty of screen time in this episode but unfortunately the lack of depth, detail, meaning and even flow is getting more conspicuous with every passing episode. The story jumps from one romantic track to the other and all of these tracks end in the most tragic manner. The relationship between the characters has not been explored in detail which is the primary reason why it becomes really difficult for the viewers to connect to the scenarios. Tonight’s episode was especially disappointing because Alia went from hating the whole concept of love to falling in love with someone like Jamil! Jamil bhaiya is somehow the ultimate attraction in Azhar’s household even though he has absolutely nothing going for him. Although, this was expected but one can only wonder why the writer was in such a rush to show this particular development. Even though the pace of this drama is slow but somehow the most important developments are always covered in haste.
The Love Triangle
Chammi’s rebellious nature and the length she can go to get ‘attention’ was fully explored yet again today. Chammi was not scared of her chacha and one could only wonder why she did something like that. It seemed like she was doing all this to get Jamil’s attention but when Jamil ‘bhaiya’ came back he was more interested in knowing what Alia ‘begum’ thought. Alia’s observations for the first time sounded judgmental particularly because she was being so sweet to everyone on the face but didn’t have a lot of good things to say about them when she was thinking how things worked in that house. Chammi and Alia’s relationship is sweet but very soon it will turn sour because of Alia and Jamil’s romantic track.
There were quite a few scenes tonight which clearly showed that Chammi was really possessive about Jamil. Azhar’s attitude towards Alia is completely different from the way he treats both Chammi and Jamil. He values Alia because she is educated (or so it seems) but was never willing to pay for Jamil’s education. Chammi’s biggest regret is that she never got a formal education. She knows that she is not valued because she is considered ‘ganwar’. While it is easy to understand why someone like Chammi (who has never been loved by anyone) would fall for Jamil, Alia’s ‘love’ for Jamil had to be the most unconvincing development in this episode.
More Of The Same
Alia’s mother’s obsession with the Britishers is the only aspect of her personality which is highlighted over and over again. Her attitude towards her husband has been the most off-putting aspect of her character. The only enjoyable part of this episode was the way Chammi made fun of Jamil. Chammi knows Jamil only too well and she can see that eventually Jamil will win Alia over. Her ‘jalsa’ seemed to be a direct outcome of her growing frustrations. Sajal Aly’s performance was right on point tonight but the jalsa scene was outrageous!
Overall Impression
Aangan’s script and even the execution has been a huge disappointment. Slowly, different characters are sidelined or they exit from the story in a tragic way. Salma, Aba Mian, Subhan, Safdar, Tehmina, Kusum and now Mazhar! That’s seven characters in 12 weeks and it seems like there will be more to follow. I was actually looking forward to Chammi and Alia’s interactions and their scenes but Chammi’s madness tonight reminded me of Salma. Having said that so far Chammi is the only character I actually feel for, not sure how long that is going to last! There are times when you feel like this drama doesn’t have a purpose or a plot other than making everyone look great on screen. The actors have done justice to their respective roles but their stories are not interesting enough and the screenplay has been the biggest disappointment.

Ohkay so, written by Sarwat Nazeer, directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain & produced by Six Sigma & Next Level Entertainment; Do Bol is a drama that just commenced on ARY Digital & they will be airing double episodes of it, which always is a good thing. Do Bol can be termed as a family saga because it revolves around a household that leads its life in a joint family system. The first two episodes of Do Bol were decent enough to introduce the story & the characters, which are a lot.
Cast & Characters:
So, first we have Gaiti (Hira Mani), who has a strained relationship with her father Iqbal (Mehmood Aslam). Iqbal’s first wife Jahan Ara left him & his daughter, which broke Iqbal’s heart so much that till date he hasn’t been able to move on & forgive Jahan Ara. Also, because of what Jahan Ara did, Iqbal hasn’t brought himself to love Gaiti the way she deserves to be loved. Iqbal has always kept a safe distance from her which takes a toll on Gaiti. Iqbal then got married to Nafeesa (ZQ) & despite being a step mother, Nafeesa loves Gaiti like her own child. Nafeesa is mindful of the fact that she couldn’t have her own child, therefore she showers Gaiti with all the love she has as she also feels for Gaiti because Nafeesa knows how distant & aloof Iqbal is towards his daughter. This mother daughter relationship was the highlight of these episodes for me plus it was so refreshing to see such kind of bonding a step mother & daughter.
Iqbal lives in a joint family system where he has a younger brother Munawwar, his wife Nasreen (Salma), their two children Neelam & Nofil. Along with Iqbal & Munnawar, their two sisters widowed Firdous (Samina Ahmed) & her son Zafar as well as unmarried sister Fareeha reside too.
It was interesting to see how there were two teams in this household. Firdous & Fareeha on one side & Nasreen & Nafeesa on the other but Nafeesa is the peace-maker, the submissive one whereas Nasreen is the one who calls spade a spade & that gives Firdous a chance to play the victim. Firdous lives in her brothers’ house but she takes the undeserving advantage of the respect & status that Iqbal & Munawwar have given to her. Fareeha is a spoiled brat, probably because being the youngest, she has been pampered by her elder siblings quite a bit.
Fareeha is set to be married & she is getting married to Hassan, whose family moved abroad years ago but before that, they used to be their neighbours. Hassan’s family includes his mother Safina & younger brother Sameer. Sameer is in one-sided love with Gaiti & it was suggested that he had feelings for her since the time they were kids & used to play around.
Badar (Affan Waheed) is Iqbal’s manager & personal assistant, he is more like his family member too where he is quite trusted upon & looks after everything. Badar’s father used to be a manager of Iqbal’s father too, so that’s how their families have been associated for years. Badar is taking care of Fareeha’s wedding planning too & that’s when he gets a chance to interact with Gaiti a lot more only to develop feelings for her.
It was interesting to see so many characters with each of them having one thing or the other happening in their lives. Iqbal wants Gaiti to pass her exams or else he tells Nafeesa that he’d marry her off, that is why only to please her father, Gaiti is preparing for her exams. Neelam has fallen for Sameer, whereas Sameer likes Gaiti. Badar likes Gaiti too but he has just found out about Sameer’s feelings for her so he is obviously heart-broken because he can see that Sameer won’t have an issue in getting his proposal accepted. Firdous wants Zafar to get married to Neelam but her mother Nasreen has rejected the proposal because she doesn’t like Zafar as such. Even though it might look like so many tracks have been given a coverage in the initial episodes but each one of them was done justice to & they all got a proper introduction which didn’t leave much to the viewer’s imagination.
I feel just because there are so many characters in Do Bol, this drama will always be happening with one thing or the other to offer. I liked Gaiti’s character a lot, even though she has been brought up knowing what her mother did & that her father doesn’t like her but she has developed this courage to fight & not let anyone put her down. Gaiti always stands up for herself & she doesn’t allow anyone to fool around. Gaiti even stood up to her father when she saw him mistreating Nafeesa. I hope as the story progresses, we see some change in Iqbal’s attitude where she learns to respect Nafeesa & acknowledge all that she has done for Gaiti. Also, I hope he loves Gaiti too because she doesn’t deserve the hatred that he feels over what Jahan Ara did.
Even though the main focus was on Gaiti & also on Badar, I liked how all the other characters contributed a lot in making these initial episodes happening. All of them have a strong personality & it was good to see them all living under one roof with their set of issues & problems but curbing them while they get ready for a family wedding.
Closing Thoughts – A Convincing Start:
Overall, the initial episodes of Do Bol were really good & I had a great time getting to know all these characters. I am definitely looking forward to what the story has in store for us because of its convincing start. The direction as well as the production value of Do Bol is really good. The director tried to play with the beauty of Hira Mani & elaborate it further & he definitely succeeded in capturing it. Hira Mani looked like a vision in almost all the scenes & her flawless acting is an added bonus. All the actors did a great job & I most certainly enjoyed watching the character of Firdous, played perfectly by Samina Ahmed. Affan Waheed did really well as Badar, a subdued character. Really looking forward to the rest of the journey. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Do Bol.

All the foreign players were willing to come to Pakistan except Shane Watson who is loved by millions in Pakistan too and is a part of one of the best teams of PSL, Quetta Gladiators. Well, the good news for the Gladiators fans is that Shane Watson is coming to Pakistan as the owner of the team Mr. Nadeem Omar has convinced him to come. The latest patriotic flick to drop by is Sherdil and is another PAF movie after Parwaaz Hai Junoon was a hit last year. The film stars Mikaal Zulfiqar and Armeena Rana Khan in the lead roles and Mikaal is playing a very zealous pilot. The on-going tension between India and Pakistan has proved to be a great time for Sherdil’s release as the real-life PAF Sherdil’s have just proven how professional the Pakistan Airforce is.
The official trailer of the film has dropped and looks like we are in for a full-blown Indo-Pak army drama. The film is directed by Azfar Jaffri who has directed Janan, Parchi and Siyaah before this. Check out the trailer below:

Whatever you may do in your life, education is the most important part and one should always try to be very sure about completing their education. Working in the entertainment industry is a very demanding job and people often get side-tracked from their education once they indulge in work. However, there are people who are determined and always work hard for their goals.
Mawra Hocane is such a star who has made a name for herself in the industry and has also worked hard to get her degree. The lady is now officially a lawyer alongside being one of the top lie actresses of Pakistan. She just got her degree at the University of London and looked confident in a red dress. Uzair Jaswal also got his degree the same day and the stars posed for some pictures on their big day. Mawra Hocane’s parents were also present at the convocation. Check out the pictures below:
Sheheryar Munawar surprised everyone with his engagement since he did not talk about his plans to get married in any of his recent interviews. Just when people thought that Sheheryar Munawar was more focused on his work than ever which was why getting married just yet was not an option, the pictures of his engagement ceremony went viral. This ceremony was a family affair and was not as festive or grand as some of the engagements of the celebrities in the recent past. Sheheryar Munawar got engaged to Hala Soomro, someone who is not associated with showbiz but definitely someone who hails from a really good background. In this video you will find out everything about Sheheryar Munawar’s fiance. We have also added comments which are rude and offensive but there are so many of them. Why are people criticizing Sheheryar Munawar’s fiance so much? What are they saying about her. Watch the video to find out
Body shaming and judging have become so common in the world and it is a nightmare since the advent of social media. Many times we have seen people bashing and trolling people who marry stars from the showbiz industry. It happened to Zaid Ali’s wife Yuman Zaid, then it was Sara Razi’s husband and now its Shehryar Munawar Siddiqui’s fiancé. The star just got engaged and the couple looked ethereal at the ceremony. His fiancé is a doctor and her name is Hala Soomro.
People were out there for blood as soon as the news came out and have been passing stupid comments about Hala. The ugliness and viciousness can be seen in these comments:
Well, Hala is a young, beautiful and successful woman and passing unnecessary judgments on her is so not right. We need to learn to use our words in a responsible manner and show courtesy and manners even when we are typing on a post. The couple looks extremely beautiful and we hope they get their happily ever after!
