Tax Evasion; FBR Froze Noor’s Bank Account

Actress Noor Bukhari has made it to the headlines yet again but for all the wrong reasons this time.

Tax Evasion; FBR Froze Noor's Bank Account

On 8th September 2017, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announced that the properties of actresses Saba Qamar and Noor Bukhari will be seized over tax evasion.

Previously FBR has frozen accounts of other celebrities one of them being Mehreen Syed, in Mehreen Syed case FBR succeeded in recovering one million rupees.

FBR is on the roll again and the officials claim that the former actress Noor Bukhari failed to pay her taxes worth 1.4 million rupees for the year 2015. Therefore FBR carried out a raid in the branch of a bank located in defence area and happened to recover Rs. 1,60,000 from Noor’s account.

The revenue board claims that Noor is a defaulter of almost 1.4 million rupees.

Tawaan Last Episode Story Review – Sweet Journey

Opening Thoughts – Bitter Sweet Feeling:

Ohkay so, one of my favourite drama from the current lot came to an end tonight. To be honest, it’s a bitter-sweet feeling; sweet because of the note at which it ended & bitter because I won’t get to see my favourite characters next week. Tawaan was the kind of drama that had this positive vibe to it & I am glad they kept it intact right till the end but yes, there were a couple of things which I wish I could change about the last episode though but I am feeling happy at the happy ending that Maryam & Shehroz got.

They Finally Had A Happy Ending:

Maryam was unsure but still she had made up her mind that she wanted to part ways with Shehroz. Even though Shehroz came to explain himself but Maryam didn’t give him a chance because in her mind, she was pretty sure that she meant nothing to Shehroz & that he didn’t even love her.

Zaman continued to brain feed Maryam against Shehroz because he actually assumed that after getting a divorce from Shehroz, Maryam will agree to get married to him. In the last few episodes, I did find it a bit awkward seeing Maryam spending time with Zaman. She had spent enough time with Zaman before to know the kind of person he was & there she was, relying on him emotionally thinking Zaman will give her an honest advice. Maryam’s involvement in Zaman’s life even before finding out about Shehroz’s revenge was not too convincing. Maryam believed in doing good but the fact that she chose to support Zaman by curbing Shehroz’s feelings about it kind of riled Shehroz up a lot more too. Maryam continued to show support to Zaman which actually didn’t sit well with Shehroz & that is why he found it even harder to forgive Zaman. So, Zaman once again tried to make Maryam believe that he had changed for good & that he was nothing like how he used to be but unfortunately, he couldn’t back his tall claims up.

Tawaan Last Episode Story Review - Sweet Journey

Maryam heard everything that Shabana & Shehroz said to each other about her. That was the moment when she for the first time actually got to know what was in Shehroz’s heart & what she meant to him that is why without saying anything, she left to be able to gather her thoughts once again & introspect about whether she wanted a divorce or not.

Shabana finally realized that she was destroying Shehroz’s life by burdening him with Mano’s death – something that was inevitable & something that was a reality which Shabana should have accepted long time ago. Shabana not only realized that Shehroz was struggling but she also understood how Maryam had earned a place in everyone’s heart for herself with her love, patience & kindness. Shabana realized that she would get nothing out of holding Shehroz back from living his life to the fullest with Maryam, his lawfully wedded wife & that is why in the end it was Shabana who forced Shehroz to apologize to Maryam one more time & not give up on his marriage come what may.

Zaman, being an egoistic man couldn’t accept the fact that Maryam was ready to go back to Shehroz. Zaman couldn’t take rejection one more time that is why he pulled the trigger. Shehroz finally got to pour his heart out to Maryam & that is when she made him realize that hatred & love couldn’t co-exist in one’s heart, they could not go hand in hand. Maryam told Shehroz that he had to let go of the anger & hatred that he had for Zaman in order to live a life full of love with Maryam. I absolutely loved their dialogues & everything that was shown after that – Shehroz & Maryam leading a normal life, sharing a healthy relationship where now Shehroz was making sure to let her know that she meant the world to him & that she could finally rely on him emotionally.

The thing I felt wasn’t important & could’ve been ignored was Zaman’s suicide. I think they shouldn’t have shown him altogether, kind of leaving an open ending to his character up to viewer’s imagination. Showing that Zaman chose to kill himself was definitely not needed because everything else in Tawaan was absolutely convincing, real & fell in its right place. I also wish we could’ve seen that final bickering of Tabinda & Irfan or just both of them having a hearty conversation with Maryam & Shehroz. Now when the dynamic of their family was settled, Tabinda & Irfan were nowhere to be seen & I honestly missed their presence in the last episode. It would’ve been an icing on a cake seeing all of them together as one happy family because in the entire episode it was suggested so many times that their house was empty & the entire family fell apart, so one such scene was necessary to show them all together & happy as ever!

Closing Thoughts – Simple Story Done Extremely Well:

Overall, watching Tawaan was an appeasing experience. It gave us some very beautiful moments & showed how two complete strangers became so close that the idea of being away from each other broke their heart into pieces. Moomal Khalid was beyond impressive in Tawaan & Emaad Irfani gave his best performance so far in this drama. Their chemistry was subtle but still quite evident & beautiful. All the characters were amazing too, they all had an important role to play & they contributed in making this drama complete. Tawaan’s story, its characters, dialogues, situations were well-written. Dramas like these show that if a simple story is executed well, it turns into a great show. I have nothing but only good things to say about Tawaan & I will remember this drama for a very long time. Tawaan Episode 29 Story Review – Emotional

Opening Thoughts – Intense & Emotional:

Ohkay so, this episode of Tawaan was intense & emotional. It covered all the aspects of how a girl feels when she is emotionally deceived & betrayed. It was very convincingly shown that when two individuals fall apart, not only them but the people surrounding them suffer a lot too.

Shehroz Failed To Admit That He Loved Maryam:

Maryam left Shehroz’s side because this is what she deemed fit. Maryam, who did so much only on the basis of hope that one day she will earn a place for herself in Shehroz’s heart was now the one deciding to back out because she was left with no motivation whatsoever. Shehroz clearly told her what was her position in his life therefore Maryam who would never ever compromise on her dignity immediately left without questioning him or reasoning with him because she couldn’t take it anymore. Maryam was suffering alone but finally she decided to let her parents know as she wanted their support to come to a final decision.

Even though Shehroz succeeded in ruining Zaman’s life but deep inside even he was not completely satisfied or relieved because he knew that in the course of making all this possible, he hurt his wife, he hurt Maryam who was probably the most precious person in his life. Shehroz’s ego was not allowing him to admit that he missed Maryam’s presence but throughout the episode, I loved how it was made so obvious that Shehroz was disturbed too. Even though Shehroz was fighting with everyone & trying hard to convince them all that he was right but he knew that no one was going to support him because they all loved Maryam & were reiterating that Maryam didn’t deserve this in return for her loyalty & effort that she put into this relationship. Shehroz’s ego was also hurt because it was Maryam who walked away & he couldn’t really come to terms with it.

The phone call from the househelp & Shehroz’s reaction to it showcased how he was hurting for Maryam, it did show that he cared & that is why he continued to make Maryam understand. Unfortunately, Maryam realized that Mahnoor’s love had him tangled so bad that she couldn’t really make him forget her so there was no point in trying any further. Shehroz still didn’t say that he loved her & that she meant a lot to him but, rather he thought that assuring Maryam that his statement meant nothing would be enough but actually it wasn’t.

Wajahat was shaken & he knew that this was not what Maryam deserved. Wajahat could see that Shehroz was unhappy, he was emotionally & mentally scattered but he let Shehroz know what Maryam wanted. It did seem like while Shabana was content with the idea of Shehroz still being in love with Mahnoor, she could see how he was struggling without Maryam but she too didn’t want to admit to that. I do have a feeling that in the end it might be Shabana who will bring Maryam back.

Even though we all know that things will eventually work out between Maryam & Shehroz but I liked how Maryam left on her own terms & didn’t settle for Shehroz’s demeaning & belittling attitude. It is good to see her being so dignified & having the sense of self-respect. Maryam tried really hard but when she saw that Shehroz crossed the line, she didn’t think twice before walking out of his life & that really is a definition of a strong female character.

Closing Thoughts – The Final Blow:

This episode of Tawaan was done well. The preview of the next episode seems quite dramatic. May be seeing yet another sacrifice by Maryam, Shehroz will finally be able to give words to his feelings that he has fallen in love with Maryam & she means a lot to him. I have a feeling that may be Tawaan will end next week but I will say that it has been a very nice journey & even if it ends, it still seems decent & not rushed at all. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Tawaan.

Tawaan An Overview – A Feel-Good Drama

Introductory Details:

Ohkay so, a Hum TV drama Tawaan is written by Rahat Jabeen, directed by Syed Wahab Jaffri & produced by Momina Duraid Productions & it happens to be one of my favorite dramas of recent times. Since I enjoy watching Tawaan so much, I wanted to write about it because I didn’t want it to go unnoticed. Tawaan in simple words is a feel-good drama, even though it does come with its dose of sadness & fair share of melodrama but overall, the characters as well as the story make it a treat to tune to. At first I didn’t watch Tawaan so vigilantly, but later it grew on me & I found myself looking forward to its episodes every single week. Tawaan can be classified as a drama which is simple but is done really really well that is why it hits home for me.

Cast & Characters:

Tawaan is a story of revenge. Shehroz (Emaad Irfani) & Mahnoor (Hina Altaf) were cousins who were engaged to be married. Since they both had lived in a joint family system due to their mothers Tabinda (Sajida Syed) & Shabana (Hina Bayat) being sisters, Shehroz & Mahnoor shared a very strong bond which eventually took a form of love & that is when they decide to get married. Shehroz’s father Irfan (Munawwar Syed) happens to be a lawyer who later fights all the legal battles for his son when he lands himself in trouble.

Tawaan An Overview - A Feel-Good Drama

Then we have Maryam (Moomal Khalid), daughter of Wajahat (Farhan Ali Agha) & Tahira (Fazila Qazi) who is engaged to Zaman (Asad Siddique). Maryam feels passionately about her social work & because of that she takes it as her duty to help anyone in need. Maryam & Zaman happen to be two different people. While being engaged to him, Maryam always feels this void in her heart which she thinks Zaman can not really fill. Zaman is conceited, arrogant & self-centred whereas Maryam is passionate, selfless & very giving sort of a person.

The Plot:

The night before Shehroz & Mahnoor’s wedding, Mahnoor tells Shehroz to take her for a ride & unfortunately, Zaman ends up hitting their bike & even though Maryam tells him to stop so that she can help them out, Zaman ends up running away. Mahnoor dies & that is when Shehroz’s entire life changes & that is when he decides that he will take revenge from the one who was responsible for Mahnoor’s death. What actually riles Shehroz up is Zaman’s attitude where he feels Zaman wasn’t regretful & showed absolutely no remorse. Maryam on the other hand is made to live in oblivion that Mahnoor did not pass away because that is what her family tells her while seeing her mental state after the accident. Unable to cope up with the loss of her daughter, Shabana loses her sanity & ends up in an old age home where she meets Maryam who tries to connect with her. Maryam finds out that Mahnoor passed away because they happened to school friends & Maryam visits her home to meet Mahnoor after her wedding only to find out that she passed away & the couple that met an accident with Zaman’s car was of Shehroz & Mahnoor. This further drifts Maryam away from Zaman but he doesn’t let go of her too easily.

Tawaan An Overview - A Feel-Good Drama

Blinded by the revenge, Shehroz kidnaps Maryam to teach Zaman a lesson but then he can not bring himself to hurt her. Shehroz leaves her but that tag on Maryam for being missing for an entire night causes a dent on her image & tarnishes her reputation. Maryam parts ways with Zaman but being someone who cannot stand rejection, Zaman makes up stories to call off the engagement of Maryam with some other guy. Maryam then slowly gets to interact with Shehroz & after spending time with his family & Shabana, she starts seeing him differently. Maryam starts understanding Shehroz’s pain & the fact that he suffered from such a huge loss makes her have a soft corner for Shehroz in her heart. Eventually one thing leads to another & the entire scenario changes where Shehroz ends up being the one who saves Maryam from Zaman, he kind of does it to redeem himself & to make himself feel better because after kidnapping Maryam, Shehroz feels guilty.

Life changes completely & after facing rejection Maryam proposes to Shehroz, telling him to own up to his mistakes & undo all the harm that he had caused to her. Reluctantly Shehroz accepts & that is when Maryam’s parents especially her mother Tahira thinks she is making the worst decision of her life. Maryam who had made up her mind sticks to her decision & she & Shehroz get married. Shehroz’s parents who were always fond of Maryam support Shehroz & tell him to forget about the past & start afresh.

Slowly & steadily Maryam starts developing feelings for Shehroz but he lets her know that he can not give her a place in his heart because he still hasn’t forgotten Mahnoor & can not cheat on her. Maryam does everything to make Shehroz fall in love with her but unfortunately, Shababa doesn’t let Shehroz forget about Mahnoor.

Tawaan An Overview - A Feel-Good Drama

Fast forward to now, since Shehroz felt Zaman wasn’t punished for killing Mahnoor & walked away scot free, he has now assigned himself the responsibility of ruining Zaman’s life & making him pay for what he did by taking away everything from him. It is unfortunate that Maryam’s love & devotion didn’t change his heart & he allowed Mahnoor’s untimely death cloud his judgment so much that he is unable to see that the path he is walking on is wrong. Even though at first I did feel for Shabana but unfortunately not anymore because she is someone who is making sure Shehroz doesn’t settle down with Maryam emotionally by forgetting about Mahnoor. Every time Maryam tried to make Shehroz forget about his past, Shabana guilt-tripped him as if he was committing a sin.

In Tawaan, the hero has turned into an anti-hero but still his reasoning & perspective is made clear which make his doings justified. I do understand that Shehroz wants Zaman to pay for what he did & he wants him to be remorseful but I find him completely wrong for the way he is treating Maryam, a girl who left everything, moulded herself as per his liking, someone who wholeheartedly accepted his family & showered them with love & kindness, who stood by his side when her own mother doubted his intentions, but still, she is not good enough for Shehroz, good enough for him to forget about his first love Mahnoor. Yes, Mahnoor died a tragic death but to literally ruin your life over someone who is not alive anymore is uncalled for.

I love the way the writer has written all the characters & the best thing about them is that they have kept the communication open. If it was some other drama Maryam would’ve never questioned Shehroz about what he was doing with Zaman but she did & this is the kind of relationship that she has shared with Shehroz right from the beginning where she was honest & open about her feelings & emotions. Same goes for all the other characters, Irfan never shies away from letting Shehroz know whenever he does something wrong, Tabinda always snubs Shabana & tells her to stop maligning Shehroz’s heart against Maryam. I love how everyone is just so honest & true to their feelings. I must also add, another one of my favorite aspects of Tawaan is the relationship that Tabinda & Irfan share, I love love loveee their banter & bickering. It makes their couple seem just so real & relateable, this is my most favorite part of any episode & I honestly look forward to their conversations.

I loved how they showed the initial stages of Maryam & Shehroz’s marital life. They shared some beautiful & very sweet moments together which was the highlight of this drama. I must say Moomal Khalid & Emmad Irfani make a beautiul on-screen couple & their subdued chemistry is simply amazing too. Also, I like how Maryam’s father Wajahat has always been the voice of reason in her life & gas supported her through thick & thin. It is nice to see a father daughter duo like Wajahat & Maryam where the father has this confidence & faith in his daughter’s choices & is wise enough to respect his her decisions. Maryam’s mother Tahira (just like Shabana) is another annoying character whose fixation with Maryam’s marriage in the initial episodes & hatred towards Shehroz in the later stages was bizarre.

Highly Recommended & A Must Watch:

Tawaan is a wholesome journey, it offers you so much & despite having its fair share of sad & grievous moments it actually is a feel good drama. I remember during the scene where Maryam tells her friend about how her married life is so far, I got teary eyed because of the niceness of that entire scenario & that was new for me because we never get Pakistani dramas like these lately where there is so much positivity that you actually shed a tear.

Tawaan has been well-directed & well-acted drama too. I love Moomal Khalid as Maryam, she is so graceful & perfect. She has done justice to this character who has so many shades, she can be polite but she has a voice, she will never allow anyone to walk all over her. She knows how to take a stand for herself & she maintains her dignity throughout. It is nice to see a character like Maryam who is so complete & sorted. Emaad Irfani never really convinced me with his acting in the past but in Tawaan, he has outdone himself. Trust me, if you haven’t watched Tawaan & are in a mood to binge watch any feel-good drama, then you must give Tawaan a go. Please share your thoughts about Tawaan & yes, I do intend to review it weekly till it lasts.

We were lucky to have worked with Ashfaq Ahmed who used to sit with us and correct us. Yawar Hayat, Muhammad Nisar Hussain, they used to monitor our rehearsals which were very strict, we weren’t even allowed to talk. Nowadays, there are no rehearsals. They are following shortcuts now. The girls today spend two hours in make-up. I often say to them, ‘Do you have this much patience to spend hours in make-up? If they prepare for the script, their work will shine. Now, the associate director gives them a page right before the shot. Also, many girls are busy calling friends and replying to them on phone like, ‘Oh, ok! I’m in between the shot and will talk to you later!’ Now, everything is taken care of on the set except the work and craft. Overall the system is corrupt now”. Here is the link to the video:

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 9 Review – Skillful Direction

The story is moving forward at a slow pace but even then every episode has an important development to its credit and conversations which are not only well written but also translated on screen superbly. There are always some scenes in every episode of TDKKH which are somewhat tricky and had they not been directed so skillfully, they would have come across as OTT. The fact that the director Shahid Shafat has done his best to make all these scenes work shows clearly in the final product. In tonight’s episode the scene in which Maya runs after Saif while he tries to escape the situation he had put himself into, was one such scene. This scene could have been a complete failure if it wasn’t covered so quickly. MTSNH is a classic example of so many scenes gone wrong because of the way the director interpreted them.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 9 Review - Skillful Direction

Faris’ character is gradually turning into one of the most likeable male leads we have seen in recent dramas. The flashback scene in tonight’s episode finally revealed how Maya broke the news to Faris and showed his initial reaction. Faris’ character has grown in these past few episodes. Ever since he divorced Maya, he has not been shown thinking about her. On the contrary, Maya perhaps thinks about him more subconsciously then he does about her! Faris has obviously not moved on because you cannot move on this quickly but he is definitely trying. There was a time when Faris was focusing completely on taking revenge from Maya; he wanted to hurt her more than anything else. Right now however, he is focusing more on his own life and is not letting his feelings for Maya dictate the important decisions he makes in his life. The fact that it was Maya who was shown thinking about the time when she told Faris about her feelings and not Faris went to show that she was perhaps regretting her decision.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 9 Review - Skillful Direction

Zoya’s accident brought all those characters face to face who were not likely to meet at this point and I have a feeling that this accident will play a bigger role in the story. As much as I would like to connect to Maya’s mother’s reaction, I found it really hard to watch her scenes in this episode mainly due to the fact that Farah Shah went overboard with her expressions and dialogue delivery. Also, her dialogues are a little too extreme! The positive characters in this drama however are definitely the lifeline of the show. Faris, Dariya and Siraj Uncle’s scenes are always a treat to watch. Even though Maya is foolish and has been really selfish but I find it difficult to dislike her character maybe because she is already paying for what she did to Faris.

Uncle Siraj continued to persuade Faris that Dariya was the perfect soul mate for him and the viewers have seen these two getting closer with every passing episode. Faris depends on Dariya for emotional support but he thinks she deserves better, a logic which makes this entire scenario even more interesting and likeable. Sami Khan, Rehan Sheikh, Mansha Pasha and Ayeza Khan have been brilliant throughout. It is definitely good to see all these actors playing roles they are so well-suited for. The actress playing Lubna’s role also performed exceptionally well in tonight’s episode.

Overall, tonight’s episode was skillfully directed, edited really well and had some superb performances to its credit. I am looking forward to watching what turn the story takes from here, I am especially waiting to find out what Maya’s next move will be.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 8 Review – Multifaceted Characters

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua has some unusual and fascinating characters which keep me hooked to this show. Mansha Pasha’s performance and Dariya’s character, Faris’ character played brilliantly by Sami Khan and even Maya’s character which has gradually grown on me, are three such characters which keep me looking forward to more. I especially like the way these characters are etched-out and the manner in which they have been translated on screen. All these characters are multifaceted which is why they keep me guessing as well. The presence of internal conflict is another reason why I find these characters appealing; all of them are fighting their own wars and so far all of them are struggling! Apart from this, these characters seem like real people stuck in a really bad situation therefore it is easier connecting to them. Saif’s character could have been equally interesting if Zahid Ahmed did not go overboard. He seems to have an interesting background which is yet to be revealed. Also, the unnecessary physical contact between Maya and Saif could easily have been avoided because it does not contribute to their track in any way.

This episode focused on the two main tracks in the story. Maya is gradually realizing that Saif isn’t as trustworthy as she thought he was. Saif’s refusal to letting her stay in the house and later on his disappearance made her question his feelings for her. Also, the reality checks Baila keeps on giving her somehow have an effect on her even though she never listened to her family members when they told her those things. I am glad that Maya has not been shown as a horrible person but she appears to be more gullible than wicked. Maya’s background story revealed that Saif worked really hard to make her come back to him. Their conversation in his flat showed that Maya did love Faris but she also could not let Saif go. Saif convinced her that they were meant to be together and that’s when Maya started falling out of love with Faris. The way Maya greeted her sister and the conversation they had clearly showed that Maya missed everything about the life which she had left behind but she was not going to go back home until she got married. Maya thought that this was going to be a smooth journey therefore she was not prepared for all that is coming her way. “Mein apne yakeen ko shuk mei badalne ki koshish kr rahi hu”! was one of the most interesting dialogues in tonight’s episode.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 8 Review - Multifaceted Characters

Faris and Dariya keep you guessing about their relationship with each other but these two definitely have great on-screen chemistry which makes their scenes a treat to watch. I am looking forward to finding out what turn their track takes in the upcoming episodes. Faris does not want to get married to Dariya because he feels she deserves better, that is something he has said before too and Dariya is not the kind of girl who would go out of her way to “convince” him that he is wrong therefore I am wondering whether these two will end up together anytime soon or not! Siraj Uncle’s character is a mystery as well, I am sure he has an interesting story to tell.

So far, I am enjoying the slow pace of the drama and every episode gives me a reason to look forward to more. The preview of the next episode looked very interesting! How many women does Saif have in his life? How will he cover up for himself now? What will Maya do if she realizes she has been cheated? Waiting to find out!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 7 Review – Reality Check!

“Cheat krne wale ko kuch nahi milta aur mil bhi jaye tu izzat nahi milti!”

This episode focused on Maya and Saif; it showed how Saif had no choice but to do exactly what Muzna and her father wanted him to do and this came as a rude shock to Maya who was expecting that her divorce would be the beginning of a new life. Maya anticipated something entirely different and gradually the reality of her situation is hitting her hard. Even now she will do anything to be with Saif because she took all these crazy decisions so that she could be with him and right now she is not willing to accept all those things she has heard about Saif even though he hasn’t exactly been “welcoming”. The viewers also found out Maya and Saif’s background story. Maya did not go running back to Saif the second he apologized but he worked hard to prove his love to her. She couldn’t have imagined that he had other ulterior motives.

Maya has been extremely selfish and she doesn’t deserve better because like Siraj uncle said cheaters don’t get very far! It looked like Maya had already started questioning her actions. When she was talking to Baila about Lubna, she said that it was because of her that she ended up telling Faris about Saif. When Baila said that she should be thankful to her for that, there was an awkward silence before she replied! This showed that she wasn’t really thankful to her since she did not get what she wanted as a result of the divorce. Maya’s state of mind was translated faultlessly on screen by Ayeza Khan. The character has been etched-out brilliantly too. Even with all her weaknesses and flaws, you can’t help but understand her character.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 7 Review - Reality Check!

Saif and Muzna’s scenes on the contrary were completely ruined by both the actors. I thought I would never say this about Zahid Ahmed because he always performs so well but in this particular drama his character does not only lack the charisma he promised it had but it also does not have an ounce of authenticity mainly due to the lackluster performance. The actress playing Muzna’s character is just plain wooden! She delivers her dialogues with absolutely no emotions or expressions therefore although her character could have been interesting, it is an eye-sore because of the way it has been translated on screen. Saif and Muzna’s situation is actually interesting but both the actors have failed to do justice to their respective roles.

Faris, Siraj Uncle and Dariya’s scenes on the other hand are always refreshing and impactful. Sami Khan, Rehan Sheikh and Mansha Pasha have nailed their characters. They have translated their characters in such a beautiful manner that you can’t help looking forward to their scenes. Although all these characters did not get a lot of screen time in tonight’s episode but just like every other episode, their scene was meaningful and they made their presence felt. Dariya’s character has been written brilliantly, I don’t remember the last time we saw such a character in Pakistani drama. She is not hoping that Faris might ask her to stay and she is making the most of her time while she is in the office as opposed to investing her energies into winning over Faris in some way. She is there for him like a friend even though she loves him.

The change in Maya’s mother’s attitude in this episode was also easy to connect too although Farah Shah too seems to overact at times but overall so far Zahid Ahmed and the actress playing Muzna are the weakest links in the drama. Even with its slow pace I find this drama interesting and the director deserves tons of credit for making it aesthetically pleasing. He has paid attention to minor details and has extracted some really good performances from most of the actors.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 6 Review – Superbly Executed

Tonight’s episode was brilliantly executed just like all the previous episodes of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hva. This drama shows how a skillful director can make every scene work. The scene in which Faris asks Dariya to call him in that particular manner before making coffee wasn’t an easy scene to direct but it was shot so beautifully. It showed Faris’ madness and also another failed attempt by him to try and “relive” what he missed about a phase of his life which was now officially over. It also showed Dariya’s feelings for Faris; she will do anything to make him feel better even if it means going along with a request which didn’t make a lot of sense. The difference between Maya and Dariya’s personality has been made quite obvious right from the beginning therefore it was easy connecting to this entire situation; there was a good reason why Faris thought Dariya could never shout like that! Mansha Pasha has been absolutely phenomenal as Dariya; she has managed to strike the perfect balance between softness and strength. Although Dariya is a polite girl but she has inner strengths which make her character likeable. Her character is not clichéd which is another reason why she is going to be a lot more than the girl who is madly in love with a man who will probably never fall in love with her. Sami Khan and Mansha Pasha’s on-screen chemistry makes their scenes a treat to watch. No matter how unusual the situation is, these two definitely make it convincing and worthwhile.

“Bus aik chota sa gunnah kiya tum ne, mujhe mohabba sikhai, mohabbat mei jeena sikhaya aur tarbiyat khatam hote hi keh diya ke tumhei mujh se mohabbat nahi rahi.”

Just like every other episode of TDKKH this one too had some phenomenal dialogues to its credit which were delivered faultlessly by some of the actors. Sami Khan has been absolutely perfect in this drama right from the get-go. His perfect portrayal of a character which isn’t easy to translate on screen has made Faris’ character one of the major reasons why I tune into this drama every week. I also love the way this character has been written. The way Faris is constantly trying to take control of a situation which is beyond his control makes you feel for his character and you actually understand why he keeps on making these bizarre decisions. Tonight, he finally decided to divorce Maya only after saying everything which had been disturbing him for all these days. He obviously thought that saying all of this was going to give him the closure he is desperately looking for subconsciously. It is however quite obvious that it will take Faris a lot of time to move on. I am looking forward to his journey because so far everything about his character has been very interesting. I am also waiting to find out more about Siraj uncle’s character especially after what Faris said about him when he was giving Maya his “verdict”. It also looks like there is a connection between Siraj Uncle and Saif.  I am pretty sure it was Siraj Uncle’s picture Saif was looking at when he said “tarpa tarpa ke maar dalu ga tumhein.”?

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 6 Review - Superbly Executed

Maya walked out of her house certain that Saif will welcome her with open arms but even when he told her she could not stay with her, she was very understanding just like all the other times when Saif convinced her to do things his way. Saif knows how to handle Maya therefore every time he wants her to do something in a different way he assures her that he loves her therefore he wants things done differently. Saif’s real intentions were shown clearly for the first time tonight. The scene covering Maya’s argument with her mother clearly showed that Saif was lying. It also showed just how blinded Maya was at this point, she believed Saif more than her mother or anyone else. She has done the impossible for Saif which is another reason why she does not want to see that Saif might not be the person he says he is. Ayeza Khan acted superbly in tonight’s episode especially when Maya goes to Faris’ house; her expressions were right on point. Zahid Ahmed continues to give an average performance although he promised his fans that he will be playing the role “of the most charming villain” he has played so far in this play. So far Saif’s character does not even have the screen presence which this character could have had if it wasn’t translated in a different manner.

I am thoroughly enjoying watching this play, it is like reading an interesting novel, one page at a time, absorbing every little detail and looking forward to what the next page has in store!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 5 Review – Unusual & intriguing

The pace of this drama is slow but it has my undivided attention nevertheless. The leading characters in the play and their complicated yet intriguing relationships with each other are the main reason why so far this drama continues to be unpredictable and hasn’t lost its appeal even with its slow pace. Every episode reveals something new about the characters. The story is moving forward with a flow and I can’t help but look forward to what surprises this drama might have in store for the viewers. The fact that every character’s thought process is being shown to the viewers in some way or the other as the story progresses forward also makes it easier for the viewers to connect to these characters. Every episode also has few dialogues which you can listen to and enjoy over and over again. I have always enjoyed Khalil-ur-Rehman’s unusual stories because if they are well executed they can be really powerful. I also find myself comparing this drama to Bunty I Love You over and over again, which too had an unconventional story and was very well put together.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 5 Review - Unusual & intriguing

“Koi ap ko dukh de kr khush ho jaye tu us se dukh le kr khush ho jao. Koi aap ko chor kr jane lage tu use salam kr ke khao, aap hamare nahi janab tu hum bhi aap ke nahin.”

Faris was shown struggling to end this relationship in a way that would prove to him, more than anyone else, that he was not hurting and that he was ready to start afresh. The fact however seems to be very different,  he is constantly struggling to be at peace with the decision Maya took and he has to go along with because he has no choice. While Maya is more than ready to end this relationship, Faris does not want to say goodbye but he has absolutely no control over the situation. He is trying his best to take the higher road but then there are also instances when he thinks about doing something which would hurt Maya too. His proposal to Zoya was somehow something I could see coming especially because of the way Tipu reacted when Zoya was talking about Faris so fondly. Faris’ character is very interesting; a male protagonist like no other! It is good to see a male lead being the centre of attention for a change especially because Faris’ character is brilliantly etched-out and translated on screen faultlessly by Sami Khan. The body language and dialogue delivery has been perfect throughout and Sami Khan’s performance is the main reason why I am enjoying this character so much. I never thought a divorce party would make so much sense to me but the writer, director and of course the actors involved have succeeded in “selling” the idea! The reasons behind this divorce party are such that you can’t help but feel for the person throwing the party and actually look forward to the outcome!

Mansha Pasha has breathed life into Dariya’s character in such a beautiful manner. Her performance is right on point right from the first episode. Tonight, the viewers got an insight into how Maya felt about Dariya when she got married to Faris. Ayeza Khan’s acting in this flashback scene was brilliant; her expressions were superb. It is good to see Ayeza Khan performing so well in a character which is anything but typical.

Overall, I enjoyed watching this episode thanks to the perfect execution, beautiful dialogues and great performances. Some of the conversations could have been chopped down but in general all the conversations added something new to the whole scenario. I am glad Saif did not get a lot of screen time in this episode.

How many of you watched tonight’s episode? Do share your thoughts about it.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 4 Review – Skillful Direction & Powerful Performances

“Tumhara jane ka kya hai tum tu chali jati ho lekin mei tumhei chorne ki rehearsal kr raha hu, is liye na bhi chaho tu chor ke aau ga.” Loved this episode and the credit for that goes mainly to the director for giving this drama the right kind of treatment and then to Sami Khan, who is beyond brilliant as Faris. I have said this before but I feel the need to say this after every episode of this drama; Sami Khan’s portrayal is so perfect and effortless that I find myself looking forward to his scenes. The character is well written as well but if an actor does not capture the essence of a character and fails to translate it on screen properly then no matter how good the character is on paper, it does not come alive on screen. Ayeza Khan’s performance in tonight’s episode was phenomenal too. Sami Khan and Ayeza Khan’s scene together was powerful and right on point. Mansha Pasha’s subtle portrayal of a sensible girl who is in love but isn’t desperate to win over the love of her life is flawless. The variety of characters in this drama also make it more engaging. Every character is a mystery; you don’t really know what to expect from them and how they will react to a certain situation but at the same time the characters are easy to connect to.

Tonight, when Saif told his sob story to Maya, it wasn’t easy to figure out whether he was telling the truth or making up a story because he wanted to make sure that Maya gets divorce from Faris. Zahid Ahmed’s expressions were misleading and there were times when it seemed like he wasn’t telling the truth. I have to say though that Zahid Ahmed and Ayeza Khan do not share the kind of on screen chemistry which was needed to make these scenes a complete success. Zahid Ahmed’s acting in tonight’s episode wasn’t really natural, once again it seemed like he was trying too hard.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 4 Review - Skillful Direction & Powerful Performances

Faris and Maya’s meeting on the other hand was an absolute treat to watch; beautiful dialogues and faultless performances! This scene between these two characters couldn’t have been directed and acted out with more precision. The scene covering Zoya and Tipu clearly suggested that Tipu was in love with Zoya and Zoya was wise beyond her years.

After watching this episode, there are tons of questions in my mind. Is Faris really going to announce his engagement with Dariya at the party? Would a girl like Dariya allow him to do that? Is Saif lying or is he really in love with Maya? I feel like he is using her. Will Maya even come to the party? Most importantly, will Maya and Faris’ marriage finally culminate in divorce? I am waiting to find out how the story progresses in the upcoming episodes.

When I started watching this drama I was not looking forward to watching another slow paced play full of philosophies but here I am enjoy this drama even more with every passing episode. The director and some of the actors definitely deserve credit for that. It is great to see Ayeza Khan finally playing a role which has tons of room for performance and is intriguing as well. It is also a pleasure watching Sami Khan excel in the role assigned to him. He has always been a powerful actor but he fits so perfectly in this particular role.

How many of you watched this latest episode? Don’t forget to share your thoughts about it.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 3 Review – Good One!

“Bewafai ati hai tumhe, chor dene ke tareeqe nahi atay!” Loved this dialogue because it explained Faris’ state of mind so well. This man wants closure badly, he is desperate to end this relationship in a way which he thinks is “right”. This last meeting won’t heal his heart but it will perhaps give him a certain degree of control over the whole situation. Love the way Sami Khan has breathed life into this beautiful character and made it even more appealing. Sami Khan is at the top of his game in this play and he has clearly overshadowed all the other actors, at least for now. Mansha Pasha too is making her presence felt with a performance which is subtle yet effective and completely in line with the character she is playing. Imran Ashraf is another actor who is continuously seen in different characters yet he manages to nail every single one of them. Although he got little screen time in tonight’s episode too but these scenes went to show that Tipu has a bigger role to play in the story.

This was another powerful episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua which was directed brilliantly. I am certain that I am not the only one who looks forward to Faris’ scenes and finds his track much more interesting than that of Saif and it is not because Faris is the good guy here but because the different shades of his personality have been penned down and translated on screen so well. You understand instantly what is going through Faris’ mind even when he appears on screen for a few seconds. Like in tonight’s episode, as he was headed towards his office, the expressions on his face clearly showed that he was trying very hard to calm the chaos in his mind while he tried to stay focused. The credit for this goes to the director as well for keeping a keen eye on minor details. The scene in which Faris ends up throwing the cake on Maya’s portrait was another skillfully directed scene, the timing of every action and dialogue was perfect, but too bad this scene had already been shown in the promos therefore his reaction didn’t have the shock value which this scene could have had. The scene from the morning which followed this depressing night was completely different and the decision by Faris to go to work and get things done showed that side of his character which make it more interesting.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 3 Review - Good One!

The conversation between Faris and Tipu was another one which I really enjoyed watching and listening to. Faris’ phone call to Maya and the insistence that she should take her part of the share was yet another way for Faris to make himself believe that he still had control over some things. Maya does not care about the money or her position, she only wants to be with Saif. When I saw the promos, I was wondering why would a man throw a divorce party but now given Faris’ state of mind this party makes perfect sense. This would be his way of saying the final goodbye because Maya has given him no other choice.

Am I the only one who feels that there are times when Zahid Ahmed goes overboard. His acting looks a lot like acting at times and there is nothing natural about it. The only scene in tonight’s episode when his acting was right on point was the one in which Muzna’s father threatened him, otherwise I did not find his performance too impressive. The whole situation surrounding his track however is intriguing enough. I really liked the conversation Faris had with Dariya about how their uncle might pressurize them to get married once he gets divorced, I am glad this issue was addressed and it was shown that Faris can predict what will happen once his marriage comes to an end. Muzna’s track so far has to be the most unappealing one and reminds me of Jia’s track in MTSNH.

Looking forward to the next episode of TDKKH and waiting to see how the story unfolds in the upcoming episode. How many of you watched this episode? Do share your thoughts about it.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 27 Review – Surprises Galore!

Tonight’s episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua was full of surprises and it was the kind of episode which keeps you at the edge of your seat. Like all the other dramas written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar this one too is headed towards an interesting ending even though all the tracks have been so complicated throughout that a satisfying ending seemed impossible till now! Many important secrets were revealed in this episode and each one was more surprising than the other. Faris’ character has been intriguing throughout and the way Sami Khan has translated this character on screen has been absolutely phenomenal. Even though Faris’ “habit” of falling in love with every woman he spends a little time with is just plain annoying but Sami Khan’s subtle performance makes this character likeable. Also, the fact that Faris knew everything all along yet he decided to play along was a really interesting development. In every episode, one of the characters shows a different side which changes the way you look at that character to a large extent. I have to admit that for the first time tonight, I actually felt for Saif and liked him a little too only because he decided to change his mind after knowing the truth.

Like every other episode of this drama, this one too asked for your undivided attention! The details which Faris shared with Lubna about his father’s picture also raised questions about the relationship between Faris’ father and Tipu’s mother. There is a lot which the writer will reveal in the upcoming episodes therefore these last few episodes are bound to be happening! Siraj uncle’s character has always been extremely likeable and like most of the characters in this play, it has been appealing as well. Now that we know what the relationship between all these characters is the story has taken a brand new turn. Most of the conversations between Lubna and Faris tonight took place in the car and I was wondering if they would end up having an accident but thankfully these scenes did not take a clichéd turn.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 27 Review - Surprises Galore!

I have praised the director Shahid Shafat in all my reviews and I always feel the need to appreciate his creativity and skill even more every time I watch a new episode of this drama. The overall feel of the play couldn’t have been better. Also, the person in charge of the previews deserves special acknowledgement since these previews are always misleading in an intelligent manner. The preview of this episode gave the impression that Siraj Uncle was the one who got shot but that was certainly not the case. This scene was directed faultlessly! It was the kind of scene which you see only on the big screen. Although Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua never got the attention or appreciation it deserved but I was hoping that some of the actors and the director in particular will be acknowledged by those people who shortlist names for giving away awards at the end of every year but so far that is not the case!

Overall, this episode was happening and right on point! It ended too soon and left me with a lot of questions. The preview of the next episode promised more drama! Can’t wait to find out how this drama ends.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 26 Review – Secrets Revealed!

Tonight’s episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua had some really important developments to its credit. The first half of the episode focused on the relationship between Faris-Lubna and Tipu-Zoya, at this point watching Faris changing his mind yet again about who he wants to get married to is getting terribly annoying since so far he has been romantically involved in some capacity or the other with every woman he has spent some time with. Although Faris’ character didn’t have a lot going for it before too but Sami Khan’s performance made it as likeable as possible. Tonight however, Faris’ dialogue did not resonate with me at all since he isn’t the right person to lecture someone about the importance of marriage. Lubna was also introduced as a sensible woman but all of a sudden she too is making some really important decisions only because she wants Saif to suffer. Although, I am pretty sure that this marriage won’t take place but even then the fact that Faris is actually bent on going ahead with it just to prove a point is terribly off-putting. The relationships between all these characters have always been complicated but with this episode they got even more intricate than before.

Lubna and Siraj uncle’s scenes together were the most important scenes in this episode. Also, the conversation between Tipu’s father and step mother suggested that there was more to this track. This particular scene piqued my curiosity and right now Siraj uncle’s track is the reason why I will be tuning into this show next week. Even after all these weeks, the viewers know absolutely nothing about Faris’ background therefore I am also waiting to find out how are Faris and Siraj uncle related to each other. The fact that Lubna knew everything all along came as a big surprise. Her conversation with Siraj uncle revealed a great deal about Siraj uncle’s background and there were a lot of questions which were left unanswered.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 26 Review - Secrets Revealed!

Tipu and Zoya’s track has also been intriguing throughout and Imran Ashraf’s performance has always been the highlight of this drama. Noor Khan and Zahid Ahmed are the only two actors who have not been able to do justice to their characters. Zahid Ahmed’s performance is always the same no matter what role he is playing which is terribly disappointing. Noor Khan has also failed to breathe life into her character although the character itself is interesting enough. The director Shahid Shafat has also given this drama the right treatment otherwise it would have lost its charm a long time back. Even when some of the tracks disappoint you, the direction never fails to impress. Having said that, I feel that this drama should end soon since some of the characters are losing their appeal altogether with every passing week.

Overall, this wasn’t the best episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua but it definitely gave me a reason to tune into this show next week since the connection to the characters and their stories is still intact. I hope that all the tracks will be wrapped up nicely without stretching the story.

Ayeza Khan – Biography, Wedding Pics, Daughter, Dramas, Danish Taimoor

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 25 Review – Brilliantly Executed

I have said this many times before but I feel the need to say this again every time I watch an episode of this drama which is extremely complicated yet the director Shahid Shafat makes it a visual treat in an artistic manner. There are many dramas in which the director’s idea of a visually pleasing drama is perfect decor, actors who have the perfect looks and the perfect lighting, Shahid Shafat however clearly has a very different concept of making a drama visually pleasing. He has managed to do so by giving the right treatment to this play which is a major reason why this drama is working for me even now when it has crossed the 20th episode mark. The background score, the subtle yet impactful performances and scenes which are always to the point, make this drama more enjoyable.

Sami Khan’s performance in Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua has been outstanding throughout but tonight’s episode belonged to Imran Ashraf who completely stole the show yet again by breathing life into a really difficult character. Tipu finally let Maya go not because he was scared that she will drag him in court but because that is what Zoya wanted him to do. Even though Zoya did not like it when Maya asked her for this favor but she was more than willing to help Maya, something which was completely in line with her character. When Maya was in that car and by the time she reached Baila’s house, it seemed like for the first time she wasn’t trying to prove something. I am waiting to see a change in Maya’s character since it is long overdue.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 25 Review - Brilliantly Executed

Zoya and Tipu’s track took an unpredictable turn since it looked like Zoya wasn’t just feeling sorry for Tipu but she genuinely liked him. Tipu’s reaction and the preview of the next episode however suggested that Tipu is convinced that Zoya and Faris are meant to be together therefore he will continue doing whatever it takes to make sure they end up together. Lubna’s proposal to Faris was yet another surprise! Was she doing this to punish Saif or she really felt that Faris was the right man for her? Right now it seems like both of them are willing to go ahead with this idea because they want to punish Saif. Ayeza Khan performed brilliantly as usual but the whole situation would have been far more convincing if Maya’s parents got a little more screen time in every episode.

The drama is probably going to end soon yet Saif has not done anything tangible to take over Faris and Siraj. Saif has invested more time and energy intervening in Faris’ love life than his business. I wonder if the writer has an unexpected twist in store for the viewers in the upcoming episodes. Zahid Ahmed’s role in this drama doesn’t have a lot to offer and his acting leaves a lot to be desired too. Even at this point, it is impossible to predict what turn the story will take from here on. Right now, I am more interested in what Maya has in store for the viewers than anything else since her reaction to what Tipu did tonight was quite interesting as well as intriguing.

This episode belonged to the director Shahid Shafat and Imran Ashraf in particular. The overall treatment given to this play has been quite impressive throughout. However, it is time to wrap things up and I am looking forward to an interesting ending hopefully sometime soon.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 24 Review – Another Rejection!

This is one of those dramas which I look forward to watching every week but lately the long gaps with which a new episode is being aired by HUM has definitely killed the fun of watching this play and also the anticipation!! By the time a new episode airs, you have completely forgotten how the previous episode made you feel and why exactly were you looking forward to the next one especially because Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua has a complicated storyline and obviously the flow is totally disrupted when a new episode does not air every week. There are many dramas which are stretched because they are getting the ratings which a certain channel wants, this drama however is going to go down in history as one of those dramas which is being stretched for no reason at all and that too not by the producers but by the channel!!

Every episode of this drama focuses on a certain aspect of love and the way it govern relationships and people’s lives. This episode too focused on just that and this time around most of the characters talked about how you can end up hating someone you once loved. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s philosophy regarding love is always really interesting and it has so many different angles. I loved all those conversations tonight which were not only meaningful but also kept you guessing. Even at this point, it is impossible to predict the behavior of these characters. Zoya’s refusal and the reason she gave for not going ahead with her marriage with Faris was the highlight of this episode. Even though Zoya does not shower her sister with love any more but she does not want to get married to her ex-husband because she feels she would be betraying her sister if she did that.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 24 Review - Another Rejection!

Siraj Uncle’s conversation with Dariya gave hope that she might come back. I would still love to see Faris and Dariya ending up with each other. Even though Siraj Uncle told Dariya that she should come back only after Faris gets married but this could be his way of telling her that she still had a chance. Even now, I miss Dariya’s character and Mansha Pasha’s performance a lot. Saif’s scene was short and extremely confusing, at this point he should be getting more screen time since the drama should wrap up now especially because it has been dragged a great deal by the channel.

Like every other episode of this play, this one too had some brilliant performances to its credit. Sami Khan, Ayeza Khan and Imran Ashraf in particular have been absolutely faultless throughout. The characters they are playing are anything but run of the mill yet they manage to bring out the best in them every single time. Sami Khan has made a not-so-likeable character not just likeable but also charming. Imran Ashraf has portrayed different shades of Tipu’s personality beautifully on screen and Ayeza Khan outshines in a different role. This play has been directed exceptionally well too, the director and the actors deserve all the appreciation for a job well done.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 23 Review – Unpredictable & Interesting!

HUM finally decided to air a new episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua after two weeks, the kind of treatment this drama has been given by the channel has been appalling and now I am seriously wondering what is the reason behind it. It is almost as if there is a conscious attempt to put the viewers off. I am not saying that this drama is a commercial hit but we have seen many dramas which were not commercial hits being treated with more professionalism than this one. Changing the time slot of the drama was bad enough but not airing it for two weeks in a row has to be some kind of a record especially because the time slot was given to award shows which could have gone on air any day of the week!!

This episode opened with Lubna and Siraj Uncle talking about how they felt about broken hearts and dreams. This conversation, like many other conversations tonight was interesting and meaningful. Rehan Sheikh is absolutely adorable as Siraj Uncle, I find his “obsession” with making sure that every person with a broken heart gets happiness or love in some form or the other extremely interesting. Rehan Sheikh shares on screen chemistry with all the actors he has shared screen space with in this drama. Hajra Yamin’s acting style is natural as well and she makes Lubna’s character likeable. It is refreshing watching a play with female characters which have different personalities and are nothing like the kind of characters we see in our dramas.

Tonight’s episode mainly covered everyone’s reaction to Tipu’s attempt to “help” Zoya and Maya’s attitude towards her family after they supported Tipu. Zoya was the only person who came to Maya’s rescue ultimately even though Maya did not give her a warm welcome but Zoya wanted Maya to go back to Faris maybe to see if that is what Maya needed to satisfy her ego. Maya hasn’t changed at all, everything that Tipu did made her even more stubborn. She has been shown as someone who never pauses to think about her own actions but is continuously pointing out how everyone around her has betrayed her. Maya and Baila’s conversation was the highlight of this episode, Baila has always been honest and outspoken about everything Maya has done so far and this time around too she tried to make Maya realize that she also made some terrible decisions because of which she is in this situation. Most importantly she told Maya how wrong her assumptions about her family members were. Ayeza Khan’s performance has been absolutely brilliant throughout and I really appreciate the fact that she is experimenting with new roles now. Imran Ashraf is another versatile actor who nails every single role he chooses to play.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 23 Review - Unpredictable & Interesting!

Maya and Zoya’s confrontation could have been far more interesting and powerful if Noor Khan’s performance wasn’t so average. Her expressions and dialogue delivery can be really misleading most of the times. The last scene of this episode and the preview of the next one suggested that Faris might have fallen in love with Lubna now, I really hope that the viewers are being mislead into thinking that since at this point adding such a twist to the story would be unnecessary. Having said that, I have complete faith in the writer and the director since Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua has been appealing in its own unique manner so far  and it has never disappointed those of us who are enjoying watching these intricate relationships and complicated personalities on screen for more than 20 episodes now.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 21 Review – Acting At Its Best!

This episode yet again belonged to all those talented actors who have made this drama a treat to watch and also the director of this show who has left no stone unturned to translate a difficult script effectively on screen. Tipu’s character could have been a huge miss had it not been translated on screen exceptionally well by Imran Ashraf. Tipu has some serious issues because of the way he was brought up but right now he knows exactly what he wants and he will do anything to make sure that Zoya and Faris end up together. Tipu knew that this marriage could never take place unless Maya was out of the way. Maya’s reaction to everything Tipu did in this episode was also right on point. Someone like her wasn’t going to allow Tipu to dictate to her therefore she did everything in her power to intimidate him. The hatred in Maya’s eyes whenever she talked to Tipu clearly showed that she wasn’t going to let Tipu have his way easily.

I have to say that watching Tipu drag Maya out of her house in front of her parents was unpleasant and I couldn’t help but wonder how all her family members including Zoya be so selfish. Even though Maya isn’t a likeable person and she never considered her family’s feelings while making all her decisions but even then somehow I have always felt for her. Even though she has been extremely callous and thankless especially when it comes to her relationships but even then her character doesn’t have a negative streak. She comes across as someone who is gullible and naïve and not someone who is negative. Ayeza Khan has been faultless as Maya throughout but her performance tonight was absolutely brilliant. Maya went through a great deal in this episode therefore translating her feelings on screen wasn’t an easy task but Ayeza Khan translated Maya’s shock, over confidence, fear and anger impeccably on screen. Her styling and make-up too has been picture perfect in this drama, it is great to see her experimenting both with her looks as well as the kind of characters she has been playing lately. There was a time when she was continuously playing roles which were very similar to one another and didn’t have a lot of room for performance but that is not the case now.

Lubna’s dialogues in tonight’s episode were somewhat misleading. Faris is gradually welcoming her in his home but her real friendship right now is with Uncle Siraj more than Faris. I am waiting to find out Uncle Siraj’s background story since his character has always been intriguing. Sami Khan and Rehan Sheikh have been performing superbly right from the get-go. Although both of them are exceptionally talented actors but I have never liked them more in any other drama. Their roles are challenging because their characters are neither one-dimensional nor are they simple therefore both these actors got an opportunity to prove their mettle and they made the most of it.

It was good to see someone giving Maya a reality check. She finally realized that Faris might not take her back once she took a divorce from Tipu but she had a lot more to deal with once she found out that getting the divorce wasn’t going to be easy. The fact that Maya never paused to think about this particular aspect of her decision goes to show how impulsive she is. She never thought things through when she left Faris for Saif and this time around too she made such a big decision in haste.

The preview of the next episode suggested that Zoya and Faris will get Zoya’s father’s blessings. I am waiting to hear why Maya’s father allowed Tipu to do all this to his daughter. Is he trying to make up for all those times when he didn’t give Zoya the love and attention she deserved because it upset Maya? The story took an interesting turn with this episode and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 20 Review – Mysteries!

This was yet another episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua which had quite a few interesting conversations to its credit. For the first time however I want the drama to pick up pace especially because of the fact that we know absolutely nothing about Siraj Uncle’s background. The way the writer is making the viewers wait certainly suggests that he has a big surprise in store. Gradually the mystery surrounding Tipu’s character is being revealed, his intentions at this point are quite clear. Although Tipu has the most unusual way of looking out for the people he loves but even then one can clearly see that he is incapable of harming anyone. Even though he tricked Maya into entering in a nikkah with him but he has all the qualities of an anti-hero. One of the finest aspects of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s scripts is that there are plenty of surprises in store right till the end! The characters never reveal themselves quickly which keeps the viewers guessing. Also, some characters which seem somewhat unimportant can at some point play a role which turns the main tracks around. Tipu’s character is one such addition in this play, he keeps you guessing and wondering. Although his stepmother treated him badly when he was a kid but tonight he could not even see her moving out of the house, this showed that Tipu wasn’t as negative a person as he wants people to believe he is! Imran Ashraf owns his role completely, he brings out the different shades in Tipu’s personality brilliantly on screen.

Faris’ reaction when Lubna said she had decided to move in with him was surprising. He wasn’t upset only because he lost the bet but it looked like he wasn’t eager to have Lubna around him all the time. He made it clear to Siraj Uncle in the previous episode that he was in love with Zoya and could never feel that way about Lubna. In this episode, when Lubna went to give him coffee, his response was really rude. The rose and thorns scene seemed like a “warning” too. I am waiting to find out why he is so upset with this latest development. Although Faris didn’t get a lot of screen time in tonight’s episode but Sami Khan made his presence felt in all the scenes. Faris is another person who is full of surprises, sometimes he is a complete gentleman and at other times he totally shuts people out without thinking about their feelings.

Lubna and Siraj Uncle at this point are more close to each other than Faris and Lubna. Their connection is heart-warming and their conversations meaningful and interesting. It looks like Lubna has finally moved on, for the first time before making a major decision, she didn’t think about how Saif would react if he finds out that she was living in Faris’ house. Ultimately it was Siraj Uncle who convinced her to take this decision.

The revelation that Tipu took permission from Maya’s father before entering into a nikkah with her was yet another surprise. I had been waiting to see Zoya and Maya in the same frame but their scene together in this episode was a little too short. Also, the fact that Maya didn’t get in touch with Faris again is rather odd. How can she be so sure that he will welcome her back in his life once Tipu divorces her? The preview of the next episode showed Maya finding out about Tipu’s actual intentions.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua has been directed superbly throughout, the director Shahid Shafat has done everything he could to give this drama a different feel and he has succeeded in giving this script the right treatment. This drama also has some amazing performances to its credit. However, the drama needs to pick up pace now so that the story can be concluded in the next 4 episodes or so.

Ayeza Khan – Biography, Wedding Pics, Daughter, Dramas, Danish Taimoor

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 2 Review – Well-Executed

This episode belonged to Sami Khan all the way and also to Shahid Shafat, the director who has given this script the kind of treatment which highlights the beauty in the dialogues. Unlike the actors in Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hei (MTSNH), all the actors in this drama so far are acting naturally instead of speaking like philosophers who are always thinking deep thoughts! Sami Khan’s dialogue delivery and body language was beyond impressive in tonight’s episode. I think Khalil-ur-Rehman’s dialogues should be delivered in a certain manner otherwise they lose their impact and can also sound like sermons! Also, the fact that the director has been kind enough to keep all these situations subtle, although they are far more complicated and serious than in MTSNH, definitely helps.

The pace of the drama is going to be slow, just like most of us anticipated but hopefully this time around the story, the direction and the performances are going to be way better. The divorce is not likely to take place anytime soon and after watching tonight’s episode, I really don’t mind waiting since I can’t help but feel for Faris’ character. Even after everything Maya did to him, he is still willing to forgive and forget given she apologizes or comes back to him. The previous episode did not really do justice to Faris’ state of mind but this one focused entirely on how he actually felt as opposed to pretending that he wasn’t the least bit effected by this whole situation. Faris wants a final goodbye if nothing else before he gives Maya a divorce. He wants to feel once more what it was like sharing his life with Maya. All the scenes which covered Faris’ state of mind were a treat to watch. I really like how the writer has shown that everyone else around Maya is deeply upset because of her decision while she is completely happy with it. Although Maya’s character isn’t likeable but I like the way Ayeza Khan translated it on screen in these two episodes. This time around I also felt like Maya was emotionally vulnerable when it came to Saif and not really clever. Zoya’s meeting with Faris was also very well directed and acted out which is why there were some parts of it which were touching although it had the potential of being over-dramatic. Khalil-ur-Rehman’s excessive use of pronouns also did not stick out like a sore thumb in this episode because of the way these dialogues were delivered.

This episode had plenty of meaningful and interesting conversations to its credit. Dania and Siraj Uncle’s conversation about Dania’s “role” once Faris gets divorced was one such conversation. Dania isn’t one of those desperate women who will wait for a man to get divorced so that she can get married to him. Her character has substance and Mansha Pasha has done complete justice to it till now. Although, Dania loves Faris but she has accepted the fact that they will never be anything more than good friends. Tipu seems to be interested in Zoya because he got jealous when she said that she was very close to Faris.

We still don’t know Faris’ background story and his relationship with Siraj Uncle but I really like the way this character has been portrayed by Sami Khan. Saif did not get a lot of screen time in this episode therefore his character too is still a mystery. The preview of the next episode was intriguing especially the new information about Saif. I have to say that I enjoyed watching this episode and am definitely looking forward to the next one. This episode also gave me Bunty I Love You vibes because of the dialogues and the variety in characters. The characters are complex yet intriguing.

I highly recommend this episode to all those people who like Khalil-ur-Rehman’s meaningful conversations and powerful dialogues.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 19 Review – Captivating Performances

This episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua had some important developments to its credit. Although the pace of this drama is slow but like many other dramas written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar the screenplay and the characterizations keep your interest alive. The fact that the director Shahid Shafat has executed this script brilliantly right from the get-go gives it an edge. Every episode unveils something new about the characters and at the same time leaves some kind of a mystery. Unlike many other dramas nowadays which entice the viewers with a few fast-paced episodes in the opening weeks and have absolutely nothing to offer after 13 weeks or so, this drama has constantly been on track and there have been hardly any filler episodes. With every episode the story moves forward, there has been continuous character development and for the most part it has been unpredictable as well.

All the characters in the play have definite personality traits and some of them share an emotional bond which has been appealing right from the first episode. Faris and Siraj Uncle’s relationship right now is holding my interest more than any other. However, Tipu is the most intriguing character in the play right now. Faris’ love for Zoya and Zoya’s feelings for Faris though are difficult to connect to at this point but I am glad that Faris has finally moved on and he admitted that he loves Zoya. One of the reasons for this is that Noor Khan’s portrayal of Zoya has been quite average therefore one can’t help but wonder why a man like Faris would fall for someone like Zoya and not someone like Darya or even Lubna. Zoya has to be the least appealing of all the leading ladies in this drama so far therefore I am waiting to find out why Faris fell for her. It is however quite clear now that he is never going back to Maya which basically goes to show that Maya made yet another impulsive decision which she will regret later on. Ayeza Khan and Sami Khan have been faultless throughout; their portrayals have been picture perfect and their performances award-worthy.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 19 Review - Captivating Performances

I have to say that right now Siraj Uncle and Tipu are the stars of the show. Since the last two weeks or so especially, these two actors have nailed their roles completely and their characters are getting more interesting with every passing episode. Imran Ashraf’s body language, expressions and dialogue delivery was brilliant throughout today although his scenes were quite demanding. One of Tipu’s dialogues tonight suggested that he was referring to Maya as the snake and he was helping Zoya climb the ladder by trapping the “snake”. All of these conversations were filled with different emotions and they were deep and meaningful. Zoya’s reactions and dialogues were interesting but Noor Khan’s acting wasn’t up to the mark. Rehan Sheikh is one of my favorite actors and it is a treat watching him play this role. I hope that we will find out more about Siraj Uncle’s background and his relationship with Saif at some point too.

Saif and Maya’s scenes together made me hate Saif’s character even more. Zahid Ahmed’s acting in this episode however was much better than the previous few episodes. Lubna’s conversation with Maya was one of the best conversations in this episode not only because of the way she told Maya off but also because she openly told her that she was never going to fall in love with Faris. Also, this scene was directed brilliantly because Faris’ reaction was also shown.

I am glad Maya’s father will finally make an appearance in the next episode because so much has happened and the viewers have not been shown how he feels about everything. The preview of the next episode was really enticing, it promised some new surprises and I am waiting to see what these surprises would be.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 18 Review – Brilliant Direction

The relationship between most of the characters got even more complicated in tonight’s episode but the most interesting element of this play so far is that even after all these weeks some of the characters are still mysterious and all of them are extremely unpredictable. Although Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua is bold and unusual in more ways than one but the overall feel of this drama is such that it continues to hold my interest and every episode gives me a reason to look forward to more. After this episode, there is only one single woman in this play who hasn’t shown her interest in Faris, all the other women including Maya’s own sister have fallen for Faris one by one! Faris is a likeable man and has a charming personality but it would have been so much better if Lubna did not feel this attraction towards him. Although Siraj Uncle’s conversation with Lubna last week laid down the foundation for the turn this relationship took in this episode but even then watching another woman feeling that way about Faris was more comical than anything else! Although I like Lubna’s character and the manner in which it has been translated on screen a lot but if Faris also starts feeling something more for her, I would feel even more for Dariya since she deserved to be with Faris more than anyone else.

Zoya and Maya didn’t have any scenes together in this episode, I was looking forward to a conversation of some sort between these two after the developments in the previous episode and whatever happened in this episode as well. I have to say that Tipu’s character is turning out to be really interesting, the viewers have absolutely no idea what to expect from him. The way he insulted Zoya showed that he was more sure than ever now that Zoya loved Faris therefore there was no hope that she will ever feel that way about him therefore he showed his true colors. Tipu wants revenge now more than anything else, he clearly told Zoya that Maya will never be able to get married to Faris again but how will that help him? I am waiting to find out. Tipu had a new found confidence today, he has definitely thought everything through. It is however impossible to figure out what is going on in his mind.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 18 Review - Brilliant Direction

Lubna’s interactions with Faris and Siraj Uncle’s role in the entire situation reminds me of Dariya’s track. The change in Lubna’s personality in the past few episodes has been interesting and likeable. Although most of the characters in this play are unconventional but there are plenty of them which are likeable as well. Maya’s conversation with Lubna once again showed that Maya still thinks that she has the right to feel possessive about Faris. The preview of the next episode showed that after the kind of reaction she got from Lubna, she will turn to Saif for help. Maya will do anything to get married to Faris again perhaps because she is sure that even though he did not invite her back in his life, he still loves her!

Overall, this was another episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua which was brilliantly directed; every single scene of this drama has been executed flawlessly from the background score to the locations, everything is right on point. Some of the developments in this episode did not work for me but I truly appreciate the brilliant performances by Imran Ashraf, Hajra Yamin, Ayeza Khan, Rehan Sheikh and Sami Khan in tonight’s episode. Their superb portrayals have definitely elevated the level of this drama.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 17 Review – Phenomenal Dialogues

“Bewafau ko wafadari ka tana de kr rokne wale taqatwar nahi hote.” There was a great deal of emphasis on bewafai in this episode and I especially liked the way Siraj uncle explained how sometimes being “friends” was a convenient option for men who didn’t want to make a commitment but also wanted a woman to be a part of their lives. The viewers also saw a different side of Lubna’s character in this episode which was quite likeable. Although Dariya’s character was special in its own way but Lubna too seems like someone who has a lot in common with Faris and she is also someone who has learned to be strong. Both Faris and Lubna know what it feels like to love someone who does not give you their hundred percent and they also know how it feels like to be cheated. Just like every other episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua this one too was directed brilliantly. Hajra Yamin played her role really well especially tonight even though there were so many dialogues which were rather tricky but she nailed every single one of them. The manner in which Lubna asked Faris if she could be his friend was also refreshing and cute. The pause after her request was also timed perfectly.

All of a sudden Saif is more interested in Lubna than he ever was before perhaps because he knows that she is no longer dying to be with him. Saif’s friend’s dialogues about Karma and how ultimately everyone pays for cheating on someone who loved them truly were few of the best dialogues in this episode. Zoya’s reaction was surprising and it showed that she did feel attracted towards Faris if nothing else. Tipu’s character has taken an interesting turn, his expressions when the court marriage was taking place and later on clearly indicated that he had a bigger plan in his mind. He wasn’t doing this only to make Zoya jealous and to make sure that Faris and Maya get back together, I am waiting to find out what exactly he is planning. Maya’s character is completely different from all the other female characters in the play. She isn’t strong or assertive and she keeps on making wrong decisions. Why has she assumed that Faris will accept her when she goes back to him? A lot of what Maya does is a reaction of what is happening around her or she lets other people talk her into taking the most extreme steps. Imran Ashraf played his role exceptionally well in tonight’s episode. Tipu is the perfect meesna!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 17 Review - Phenomenal Dialogues

This episode had so many meaningful and powerful scenes to its credit. Lubna, Saif and Faris’ scene, Siraj Uncle’s emotional conversation with Lubna and whatever Saif’s friend said to him were few such conversations which were brilliantly written. I also really liked how Faris explained why he didn’t stop Maya. There were a lot of dialogues in tonight’s episode which also pointed out the double standards in our society when it came to men and women’s priorities and actions while they are in a relationship with someone. I truly appreciate the fact that the writer has written about those aspects of relationships which are usually brushed under the carpet in our dramas because they are considered too bold or unusual therefore they don’t always click with the masses. We need a drama like Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua every now and then which does not sugarcoat anything. Rehan Sheikh and Sami Khan’s scenes together are always a treat to watch. Both these actors are phenomenal performers and they share an amazing on-screen chemistry. We still don’t know much about Siraj Uncle’s background or even his relationship with Faris.

The director Shahid Shafat has directed every single episode of this drama flawlessly. The locations, camera angles and the background score give Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua a different and more appealing feel.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 16 Review – Interesting!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua continues to be unpredictable, unusual and intriguing but it isn’t the same without Dariya. Dariya and Faris’ relationship as well as their interactions were the highlight of every single episode. Their on-screen chemistry and the way these characters were translated on screen made their scenes a treat to watch and I must say that even though Sami Khan was brilliant as usual but nothing can beat the magic Faris and Dariya’s scenes created on screen. Although Dariya kept on saying that she couldn’t stay forever but even then I was hoping that she will stay in the picture somehow.

This episode covered Lubna and Faris’ interactions and by the end of the episode Faris found out that Lubna and Saif were engaged. This entire development was shown superbly. Faris noticed Lubna’s reaction when Saif hit Faris’ car and he knew instantly that she knew him. Later on the resignation and most importantly everything that Lubna said to Faris about Saif getting away with taking Maya away from him is going to be the reason why this time around Faris will not let Saif decide how things run in his office or life! Lubna, like every other girl Faris meets, seemed to like Faris instantly – her conversation with Baila said a great deal about what she thought about Faris. The fact that even with all his flaws Faris is a charming man makes it easy for the viewers to understand why it is impossible for someone to not like him! Lubna is the only woman Saif has ever been serious about therefore now there is a way for Faris to take revenge from this man however so far, Faris has been shown as someone who does not believe in playing games therefore whatever he does, he will probably do it genuinely to help Lubna and not just because he wants to teach Saif a lesson!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 16 Review - Interesting!

Maya’s mother’s dialogues were the most meaningful as well as powerful dialogues in this episode. Although Farah Shah tends to go overboard at times and I do not like the way she delivers her dialogues but even then those dialogues showed that this woman knew her daughters only too well. She already had a feeling that Maya was about to do something outrageous to get Faris back therefore in her own way she tried to warn her. Although Maya thinks she is very intelligent but the fact is that she is constantly letting other people make her decisions for her. Tipu might appear to be a simple person but he is actually much more clever than Maya, he knows how to play with people’s feelings and how to use a situation to his advantage. It is great watching Imran Ashraf playing roles in different drama which are poles apart. He is a remarkable actor who is versatile as well. Ayeza Khan’s makeover in this drama is right on point and she has given a flawless performance throughout. Maya’s character however isn’t as strong or appealing as that of Dariya’s or even Baila’s character. Rehan Sheikh is also an exceptional actor who always gives a solid performance. No one could have played Uncle Siraj’s role with more finesse than him.

This episode had some remarkable performances, powerful dialogues and interesting scenarios to its credit. Just like every other episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua this one too was directed brilliantly. I am waiting to see Faris and Saif face to face and hoping that we will get to see Dariya soon!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 15 Review – Brilliant As Usual!!!

Like every other episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua, this one too was a visual treat right from the get-go. Although the situations in this drama are completely bizarre at the moment and it is almost as if all these characters are letting their ego get the best of them but even then the treatment given to this drama is so brilliant that you enjoy watching every single scene and can’t help but look forward to finding out what exactly is going on in everyone’s mind. Khalil-ur-Rehman’s writing style is such that he keeps the viewers wondering about the actual feelings of the characters and he makes it really difficult for the viewers to guess whether a character is taking revenge or he or she actually is in love. The fact that it didn’t take Faris a lot of time to “get over” Dariya as he started pursuing Zoya immediately after she left, went to show that indeed Dariya really did know Faris better than anyone else. Dariya’s character has always been my favorite and the reasons she gave for not staying for longer made me like her character even more. Dariya did not want to wait for the day when Faris would fall in love with her because she knew that such a day will never come therefore even Siraj uncle’s “threats” did not work when he tried to stop her. Now that Dariya is out of the picture, it seems like Faris wants Zoya to share his emotional burden with him.

Since Zoya’s parents told her why Maya disliked her so much therefore it could be another reason why all of a sudden Zoya is actually considering this proposal. This had to be the most bizarre situation I have ever seen in a Pakistani drama yet it has been translated on screen so well that it intrigues you more than it creeps you out (for obvious reasons). The credit for this goes entirely to the director and all the actors involved. This script could have been a complete disaster in the hands of a director who didn’t understand it so well. Everything has been written so boldly that it needed to be underplayed on screen otherwise it would have appeared to be over-dramatic and annoying.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 15 Review - Brilliant As Usual!!!

The turn Tipu’s character took had to be the most shocking of all developments in tonight’s episode. The manner in which Tipu and Maya’s meeting was covered was absolutely faultless. Imran Ashraf and Ayeza Khan’s impressive performances coupled with those witty dialogues made this one of the best scenes of this episode. Maya clearly looks down upon Tipu, she thinks he is beneath her – her expressions said it all – yet she was willing to strike this deal with him. I am wondering how a woman like her who has such a big ego can do so much to go back to Faris. I feel that the main motivation right now isn’t just love but also the fact that Faris and Zoya might get married if she doesn’t take an extreme step to pave way for another nikkah.

Sami Khan’s performance in this play has been faultless throughout, he looks great, has acted brilliantly and has made Faris’ character likeable even though the character itself doesn’t always have a lot going for him! Rehan Sheikh is another actor who always does complete justice to every role he plays. Saif was completely missing from this episode and I must say that I didn’t miss him one bit! In fact this episode was one of the best episodes of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua because the focus was entirely on Faris, Zoya and Maya.

Shahid Shafat definitely deserves an award for making this difficult script come to life on screen in such a way that you are forced to give each episode your undivided attention. Beautiful visuals, phenomenal performances, powerful dialogues, impressive makeovers and creative direction make this drama an artistic piece of work! Loved watching this drama for 15 weeks and looking forward to how the story unfolds from here on.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 14 Review – Powerful Performances

Dariya and Faris yet again stole the show tonight. Although they only had one scene together in this episode but that particular scene was the perfect example of sizzling on-screen chemistry and faultless dialogue delivery as well as flawless timing! That was the kind of scene which deserves be watched over and over again. The perfect camera work and background score added to the beauty of this entire episode. The director Shahid Shafat deserves an award for his creativity and impressive direction. This episode had some amazing dialogues to its credit as well. Faris and Dariya’s dialogues in particular reflected their thought processes in a beautiful manner. However, I don’t understand why there was mention of halala in this episode since the divorce isn’t final just yet. This particular development reminded me of Zara Yaad Kar.

“Tumse jo mohabbat hei, vo tumhare jane ke baad mari nahi, vo apne zinda rehne ka jawaz dhoond rahi hei aur dhoondne mei waqt lagta hei.” This episode opened with Faris telling Maya that going back to being husband and wife wasn’t going to be as simple as Maya thought it would be. Ayeza Khan and Sami Khan’s acting in this scene was absolutely brilliant. Ayeza Khan translated Maya’s feelings impeccably on screen through her expressions and Sami Khan showed just how angry Faris was but that did not mean that he was not going to be a “gentleman”! This was the perfect opening to an episode which had tons of emotions and moments which made you wonder where the story was going to go from here. There were also many dialogues in tonight’s episode which showed how keenly the writer had observed few aspects of relationships and falling in and out of love. Faris has been looking for closure since the time Maya walked out on him but every time he said that he was over Maya and was eager to move on with life, he was clearly lying. This time around too although he said that he was waiting for Maya to ask for forgiveness and now that she had done that he could finally move on, later on however he said that he wanted one final meeting with Maya. Every time he gets a call from Maya, he attends it and the fact that no meeting or conversation actually is the last one suggests that he can’t just forget her and move on with life.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 14 Review - Powerful Performances

Dariya now is also agitated with Faris’ state of mind especially because he isn’t letting her leave therefore this short time frame given to him was an attempt to make him see that he wasn’t ready for this. Mansha Pasha has been phenomenal as Dariya, the timing of her dialogue delivery was superb in this episode. The way the dialogue “tum bhi bilkul nahi badlay” was uttered was beyond amazing. Maya and Zoya once again talked about their relationship and for now it seemed like everything between them was alright. Ayeza Khan is playing the older sister who isn’t perfect but tends to get sentimental every now and then quite well. Maya’s mother finally decided to go and get her daughter and this time around Maya knew she had to go back home. Even now I am finding it really hard to keep my interest in Saif’s character alive.

The preview of the next episode promised many more complications and I am hoping that things don’t get too ugly. Will Faris be able to stop Dariya? If yes then how? What does Zoya feel for Faris and why was Tipu proposing to Maya? Could it be a joke or is he taking “revenge”? I am waiting to find out!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 13 Review – Complicated Yet Intriguing

When it comes to penning down love stories which are so much more than just that, no one can beat Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Like every other drama penned down by him TDKKH too is unpredictable and in many ways bold as well. The relationships between all the characters are anything but simple and these complications keep on getting even more confusing with every passing episode. Faris’ character in particular is highly intriguing; it is impossible to guess how he actually feels about all the women in his life right now. His proposal to Zoya was completely unexpected and it seemed like nothing more than another desperate attempt to get back at Maya but Zoya’s reaction had to be the most interesting part of this entire scenario. The most interesting bit was that Zoya just learned why Maya never loved her the way a sister should be loved, that definitely changed a lot of things. The stories about sibling rivalry explained a lot and might also have given Zoya a reason to do something to hurt Maya. Also, their background also explained Maya’s reaction in the previous episode when she saw Faris with Zoya. The only part that was difficult to relate to was that Zoya did not remember any of this. If she was old enough to tell her father that she did well in the exam then she should have had some recollection of those memories unless like her mother said, she decided to store those memories away in her mind.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 13 Review - Complicated Yet Intriguing

Lubna’s track is also being given a lot of screen time in these episodes which goes to show that she has a bigger role to play in the picture. Saif was more amused than angry when he got the parcel from Lubna which basically showed that she was another woman in his life for whom he didn’t really care much. Siraj Uncle continued to play cupid and failed at it over and over again yet he didn’t give up! Gradually, Dariya is showing how she actually feels about this entire situation. In tonight’s episode, she clearly stated why getting married to Faris was never an option. The fact that Dariya is convinced that Maya isn’t really out of Faris’ life suggests that Faris still loves her. He is angry and hurt but he might eventually forgive Maya. Dariya is the only person who understands Faris therefore if she is sure that Maya can come back into his life any time then that might just happen!

My favorite scene from tonight’s episode was the last one; the meeting between Faris and Maya was an absolute delight to watch. Faris told Maya how everything had changed after she left but he wasn’t looking for sympathy when he told her that, it was more like making someone aware of their wrongdoings and the repercussions. He also tried to take control of the situation yet again by telling her that they will only meet when it would suit him and that could even mean that they will never meet again. This aspect of Faris’ personality is so relatable; I love the way he is constantly trying to show that he is in control of things when clearly he isn’t! Sami Khan never ceases to impress as Faris, Ayeza Khan continues to translate Maya’s character impeccably on screen and most importantly the director Shahid Shafat has made sure that these beautifully etched-out characters do not get lost in translation. The background score of the drama is also beyond impressive.

The preview of the next episode definitely piqued my interest. I am looking forward to finding out if Faris can really tell Maya that he is getting married to Dariya!

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 12 Review – Deep & Meaningful

“Janti ho mohabbat bari self-regulated hoti hei, wo logo ke sath wohi salook krti hei jo log us ke saath krte hei.”

This drama actually has a spellbinding effect; the beautiful dialogues and the overall feel of this play is simply fascinating. TDKKH is the kind of drama which requires your full attention and you can only enjoy watching it when there are absolutely no distractions! It is very rare that such flawed characters appear so appealing on screen and you can’t help but connect to them. My favorite part of this episode was the way Faris’ feelings were translated on screen. Even now, he has not been able to “hate” Maya or move on although he keeps on saying that he will never allow her to come back into his life, the fact is that even today he would forgive her if she tried hard enough. Faris’ proposal to Zoya it seemed was yet another attempt to get back to Maya for what she did to him. Right now, I feel that even if Faris tried he could not cheat on Maya because he is still in love with her. There were a lot of dialogues in tonight’s episode which suggested that he was waiting for her to come back but obviously it wasn’t easy for him to forgive and forget. Even now Faris wants to hurt Maya in some way but at the same time he does not want to lose her. Sami Khan’s brilliant portrayal of a man who can’t get over the betrayal and at the same time cannot seem to let go of the person who betrayed him couldn’t have been more impressive. His dialogue delivery has been brilliant throughout although some of the dialogues are very tricky and could have come across as over-dramatic if they weren’t delivered in such a subtle yet impactful manner.

I have said this so many times before but after watching every new episode of this play I feel the need to say this again – Dariya is beyond amazing!! She is one-of-a-kind and Mansha Pasha has definitely given this character the edge it needed to win the viewers over completely. Dariya is practical, intelligent, sensitive, outspoken and loving. Sami Khan and Mansha Pasha’s on screen chemistry and the way these scenes have been directed makes me look forward to their scenes. The way Dariya gave Faris an honest answer was a treat to watch. Although she does not approve of Faris’ feelings for Maya but at the same time she does not let that effect their friendship. She has never complained to Faris and she has never even once made him feel like he owes her something more than what they already have. Dariya is a far more strong person than Faris and even Maya.

Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua Episode 12 Review - Deep & Meaningful

Maya’s track took an interesting turn with this episode. Now that she is over Saif, she wants to go back to Faris but her ego won’t allow her to approach him and ask for forgiveness, the way she should. For the first time Maya cried in tonight’s episode when she saw Zoya with Faris – a reaction which showed how she felt about Zoya. Even though so far the viewers have seen Zoya looking out for Maya but apparently Maya hates her sister and there is more to the story. I am eagerly waiting to find out more about this track. Ayeza Khan gave a solid performance in this episode as well and Hajra Khan is also faultless as Baila.

Saif also revealed a little bit about his background story and his plans for the future in this episode. He is aiming for something much more than what appeared on the surface and the reason for that probably has to do with his history with Siraj Uncle. This track too is getting more interesting now. Although I am glad that it isn’t getting a lot of screen time.

Just like all the other episodes of TDKKH, this one too was beautifully written, directed and acted out. The person responsible for styling and make-up has also done a really good job. The preview of the next episode looked very interesting – really looking forward to Faris and Maya’s meeting in the next episode!
