Beautiful dialogues, exceptional acting and flawless direction Sadqay Tumhare is all that and more! I say more because everything about this play is just plain sweet and very genuine. Our spoiled, pampered, hot tempered and most of all emotional Khelu is lost in love. I like Khelu just the way he is – akharbaz, nakhray wala – an angry young man who knows what he wants and will do anything to get it! Khelu is unconventional, one of his kind! How often do we see heroes like him on screen who are so likeable too? Every episode of Sadqay Tumhare is overflowing with dialogues that leave their mark and scenes that stand out. Shano’s conversation with her friend, Khelu’s conversation with his captain, Shano’s mother’s conversation with her husband, Maqsood’s conversation with Khelu … every single scene was short, to the point and added something to the story or told you something about the characters. Khelu ke chakay pe chakay and the change in his personality depicted his state of mind so aptly.
Mahira Khan continues to impress me with her flawless performance; she has made Shano’s character memorable without a doubt. The television screen lights up with the innocence on Shano’s face whenever she appears on screen. The scene in which Shano’s father says “khalil mur jaye ga” was one of the many scenes in this episode which showed just how perfectly timed everyone’s reactions are – Shano’s entry and her reaction said so much about how she felt about that statement. Fayaz (Mukarram Kaleem) who is Shano’s first cousin and a possible suitor was introduced in tonight’s episode. He lacks the “class” which Khelu has and Shano makes sure that she keeps on reminding him that he is no more than a brother to her. Shano finally shared with her friend the reason behind her mother’s dislike for Khalil; Rashida was engaged to Khalil’s father but he ended up getting married to her sister. I am sure many viewers like myself cannot wait to find out the entire story. Rashida clearly wants revenge, she wants to ridicule her sister and satisfy her bruised ego. I love Samiya Mumtaz in this role, we have seen her crying and playing the bechari on screen a little too often, it is good to see her playing a role she has never played before. She has proved that she is capable of being much more versatile. When Rashida said “yeh rishta najaiz hai”, I couldn’t help but wonder why she said that?? And why was she so confused when her husband asked her the reason??
Jis se mohabbat ho jaye vo aise nahi milti jaise tumhe subha ka nashta mil jata hai conversation between Maqsood and Khalil was beautifully written. The “effect” Maqsood’s words had on Khalil (even if it was temporary) was obvious from Khalil’s expressions.
Adnan Malik’s rugged looks come as a breath of fresh air because usually our heroes are seen wearing a lot of make up since the concept that fair is lovely is quite popular among the male actors as well nowadays. It is good to see a man who thinks he will look great even without a light foundation and lenses, which seem to be a must-have nowadays! The make up artist deserves full marks for a job really well done. Mahira Khan has never looked this pretty, innocent and young.
This drama has an intoxicating effect on me every time I watch it. Shano in particular has totally won me over. Mahira Khan outshines in this character, the best aspect of her portrayal is that she has left Mahira Khan completely behind and has embraced Shano’s character entirely. The credit goes to the director Ehtesham-ud-Din for bringing out the best in all the actors. I am greatly impressed by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s writing, he obviously put in a lot of thought into this script or it could be that it came straight from the heart!

What an ending!! Every single scene was intense to the core and very gripping. There are very few last episodes which manage to leave a very profound impact on you but this one completely fit the bill. I am sure many people will disagree with me but personally I think that a happy ending wouldn’t have done justice to this love story We knew all along that Shano and Khalil’s happy ending was not meant to be but most of us were also expecting a very dramatic and tragic turn of events which would end this love story like that of Laila/Majnu or Romeo and Juliet. The ending however was very real! Shano and Khalil might have moved on with their lives but the love which the two felt for each other remained an undeniable reality right till the end. Their love for each other was accepted and respected by all those people who were connected to them in any way at all. I am not going to go into the details of what transpired in this last episode because I would like the viewers to watch this installment and find out for themselves. Also, I wouldn’t want to ruin the experience for anyone who reads this review out of curiosity before watching how the drama ends.
I must say that it was an absolute pleasure watching and reviewing Sadqay Tumhare. Sadqay Tumhare was spellbinding for most part with the exception of very few episodes which gave even the biggest fans of the play something to complain about. Sadqay Tumhare might not be remembered for its pace or story but it will definitely be remembered for its strong characters, spectacular dialogues and the riveting performances from practically every actor who was part of this drama. Mahira Khan and Adnan Malik brought their characters to life with a class that is unmatchable. The sizzling chemistry between these two brilliant performers definitely helped many of the viewers relate to the their undying love. Rasheeda kept most of us glued to the screen and left us hating her but wanting to see more of the malice, hurt and vengeance that she felt only because the character was played brilliantly by Samiya Mumtaz who proved that she is an outstanding performer. Samiya Mumtaz’s character and her background was pivotal to the story because she was the one who determined the fate of Shano and Khalil’s love more than any other. Rehan Sheikh used his superlative skills as an actor to good use because of which we had no trouble feeling what his character was going through. I felt for Amin every step of the way and I could totally relate to how cheated he felt. Sanya Shamshad is a relatively new actress but she never fails to surprise me, I was completely in awe of her acting in Rehaii and the perfect manner in which she portrayed all the personality traits of Humaira on screen in this drama was truly impressive. I don’t want to sound rude but I have never liked Shamil Khan before but I absolutely loved him as Maqsood. Maqsood was a friend and a mentor to Khalil; someone he could confide him and turn to when he was clueless. Farhan Ali Agha, Irfan Khosat, Qavi Khan, Tahira Imam, Naghma Begum outshone in few of the most memorable supporting roles they have played till date.
I have to give special credit to the person in charge of make-up; it was an absolute pleasure watching a hero with rugged looks on screen. Mahira Khan’s soft look and Sammiya Mumtaz’s no make up look went well with their characters. The director might have missed a few details here and there but overall he was very successful in portraying the era that he was supposed to bring to life on screen. I would like to thank the writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar for giving us some amazing characters and some unforgettable dialogues that literally stir your soul. Sadqay Tumhare’s OST will always be very special to me not only because it has been sung beautifully but because it will remind me of Shano and Khalil’s beautiful love story every time I hear it. We all wanted Sadqay Tumhare to end and we all wanted to find out how it will end but I must admit that I will miss looking forward to this beautiful play every week.

“Jaan day du ga, Shano kisi ko nahi du ga” – Khalil made sure that everyone who was in any way related to Shano clearly understood that as long as he is alive he was going to do everything to ensure that one day he gets married to Shano. Shano is as madly in love with Khalil as he is with her but the difference is that she does not think that getting married to someone you love is important. She believes that she can continue loving Khalil for the rest of her life even without getting married to him. Shano’s dialogue in the last episode about mohabbat and shadi and her reaction when her father told her that there was no way that she was going to get married to Khalil in tonight’s episode went to show that she does not care whether she gets married to Khalil or not. But she also makes sure that her father knows that if she doesn’t get married to Khalil then she was not going to get married at all.
Tonight’s episode was filled with scenes which I absolutely loved. Shano’s expressions when her Taya informs everyone char lashein daal ke aya hu were priceless! The way Khalil turned the tables was not surprising at all – I expected nothing less than that from our hero! The Taya abu knew only too well that getting his son married to Shano is only going to bring even more trouble but Fayyaz wants to get married to Shano therefore he is helpless. The way the tangay wala told Amin the story was just perfect! He started off by telling only half of the story and that too the part which he knew Amin wanted to hear and then he went on to tell the details which he knew would be shocking and upsetting for Amin! As maulvi sahab pointed out everyone knew about Khalil and Shano’s engagement and they wanted to see the two of them together.
We also found out tonight that Khalil knows nothing about what happened in the past. Probably because he lives in the city and such things are discussed more in the village where everyone from the immediate family resides. Also, girls are exposed to such information more than the boys. Khalil also thinks that Abdur Rehman is his real father. Like every other episode of Sadqay Tumhare the conversations alone were enough to keep me glued to the television screen. Shano’s conversation with her father was amusing just like all the other conversations – she always leaves her parents clueless! Shano knows what she wants and she has complete faith that there is absolutely nothing wrong in feeling the way she does for Khalil therefore there is always a lot confidence and honesty in the way in which she expresses her love for Khalil. I always find myself rooting for Khalil and Shano like a teenager while watching this show and whenever they “win” I can’t help but feel happy!
In my opinion this episode was flawless, every single scene was beautifully acted out and directed. I paid a lot of attention while watching this episode and I was especially looking for flaws but I failed to find any except for that one scene in which Rashida mentions that two of the boys were in the hospital although Fayaz’s father hadn’t given away all the details yet. Mahira Khan has totally won me over, in fact she wins me over and over again with every episode of Sadqay Tumhare. Her expressions are always flawless and the way she has brought Shano’s character to life on screen is beyond commendable. There were a few scenes in tonight’s episode when Khalil’s character actually looked scary! I am not sure if it was meant to be that way or Adnan Malik went a little overboard. Apart from that Adnan Malik has been phenomenal as Khalil, yes he is very OTT but that is what I love about this character. Shano and Khalil give the phrase “madly in love” a whole new meaning! A big shout out to Samiyya Mumtaz and Rehan Sheikh for a brilliant performance throughout this play and particularly in this episode. Rehan Sheikh’s expressions were spot-on when the tangay wala told him what happened and when he was talking to Shano. Rashida is venomous and it is a pleasure watching Sammiya Mumtaz being so perfect in this role. Shamil Khan, Irfan Khoosat and Qavi Khan are the kind of supporting actors which can only be a part of a dream team. I can’t help but praise everything about this play. Sadqay Tumhare always manages to take me into a world of its own where I am completely detached from my surroundings and yes from reality too. Shano and Khalil are Romeo/Juliet and Laila/Majnu for me. These love stories did not have happy endings but they are the most popular ones nevertheless! Their story reminds me of all the beautiful love quotes I have ever read and all the touching love stories I have ever seen on-screen. This episode was picture perfect; I love the filmy and the romantic element of this play. This play reminds me of all the beautiful love stories I have ever seen and watching such a story unfold on your TV screen every week is nothing short of a dream come true. The love between Shano and Khalil is very fairytale like but at the same time I never have trouble feeling for them or connecting to what they are going through. Mahira Khan and Adnan Malik have done complete justice to their characters by bringing out the best in them. Tonight’s episode opened with Shano’s wit and ended with our hero proving a point or two to Fayyaz.
The power of love makes you do things which you normally won’t. Khalil wants Shano in his life at any cost even if that means getting himself killed. After watching the preview of this episode last week I thought that maulvi sahab was going to save Khalil but when the tables turned it was nice to see that Fayyaz was the one who needed saving. Shano’s love has made Khalil even more fearless than he was before and same is true for Shano. Both of these characters have a very big personality and that is what I love about both Shano and Khalil. There is more to them than their love story alone. They are both very interesting people who you enjoy watching on screen and when the two share screen space nothing can come between the chemistry that they share.
Every single scene in this episode made you look forward to more. I have always liked the fact that although there is a lot of talking in this play but the scenes are usually short and to the point. You move to the next scene before getting bored with the first one. Irfan Khoosat’s character’s love for Khalil and the reason behind it went to show that Shano is loved by everyone around her. Shano’s parents however are so blinded by what they want that their daughters happiness does not matter to them. The way the tangay wala informed Khalil about all of Fayyaz’s friend was very amusing. I love the simplicity with which the dialogues have been written, the conversations always come across as real.
Shano prayed for Khalil but at the same time she was prepared to die if something happened to him. Khalil and Shano both do not want to live unless it is with each other. How often do we get to see such beautiful love stories on screen? All we see are complicated love triangles in which the focus is more on the complications than love itself. In Sadqay Tumhare as well there are a lot of complications but somehow I never feel like the director or the writer is losing focus. At the end of every episode I feel like I saw enough of Shano and Khalil both and their feelings are given the utmost attention. Side tracks usually add more flavor to the story but in this case I don’t mind a single track story.
The fight scene was directed brilliantly, it was filmy to the core and I loved every second of it. Rain was the perfect addition to the scene. Rasheeda had no idea how much Khalil had beaten Fayyaz when she was worrying sick about him! Khalil’s reaction when Shano says to him, “maar kha ke aye ho” clearly meant nahi maar khila ke aya hu!!
This was another one of those episodes of Sadqay Tumhare which you want to watch over and over again. Every scene added something to the story and all the conversations were beautifully penned down. All the actors performed brilliantly as usual and this time around it is very difficult to say who the star of the show was because tonight all the actors kept me hooked to my television screen because of their outstanding performances. Hats off to the director for giving us another flawless episode and a big thank you to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar for a beautiful love story.
This episode showed the repercussions of Shano’s open confession of her feelings for Khalil and it laid the foundations for what is coming ahead. I must say that Mahira Khan manages to steal the show every time just by her presence and the way she translates Shano’s character on screen. The character of the maulvi sahab is going to be a significant one since he thinks that these girls are not only his students but also his responsibility. He is against Rasheeda’s strategy of resorting to hitting her daughter in order to punish her but at the same time he asks Humaira to make Shano understand that she should not defy her parents like this. Humaira’s reply to maulvi sahab actually made me laugh because these girls’ guts surprise me sometimes! You would think that girls who are raised in such an environment would be docile and reserved but here we have not one but two girls who are vocal and bold. “Kamini” isn’t actually the kind of word you use in front of a maulvi! Humaira literally pushed her way into Shano’s house the second time around. Rasheeda is a very strong willed woman herself but when it comes to these girls she is actually helpless! This shows that there isn’t much that parents can do once your kids grow up and want their own way!
Khalil wasn’t the least bit surprised to hear about the kind of response his parents got, he waited for Shano’s letter and the second he got it, he knew exactly what he was going to do. Although Shano and Khalil have met only once but both of them can tell more about each other than two people who have spent years with each other. Shano’s letter to Khalil was beautifully written especially the part about gharur but my favorite were these lines “jahan mere dil mei hazaron weham rehte hei wahan mera khalil bhi rehta hai…aur vo sare veham un ke ghussay se dartay hein!”
We found out today that Inayat married Abdul Rehman five days before Abdul Rehman and Rasheeda’s marriage was due. Rasheeda holds her sister responsible for stealing her fiancé from her and she wants to take revenge. Rasheeda knows only too well that Shano will not back out of this engagement at any cost and she is also scared of Khalil.
This episode was on the slow side, it did not have the kind of effect which the past few episodes had. My favorite scene from tonight’s episode had to be the one in which Rasheeda’s insecurities get the best of her and she can’t stand the sound of the crow! I really want Shano and Khalil to meet now. We have seen them talking about each other enough so I guess it is about time that we see them together too. The preview of the next episode gave me a really good reason to look forward to it. Looks like things are going to get worse before they get better or before they get even more ugly! I hope that the story does not get too depressing from now on because I would really like to see some happy days.

I must give full marks to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, the writer of the drama for having the guts to add those details of his life in this story which easily pass for skeletons in someone’s closet. I was reading Khalil-ur-Rehman’s interview the other day in which he stated that this story was not 100 percent true but it was more than that, there wasn’t a single scene in this story that was added for adding more drama to the narrative. This could be the reason why so many people have been able to connect to the story and the characters. The writer in his interview also said that people who believe in love and have experienced being in love alone can relate to this play…which would basically mean every second person of course!
What Shano revealed to Maulvi Sahab about the kind of intricate relationship and the ugly history which her mother shared with Khalil’s father, Khalil’s step-father and Khalil’s mother was nothing short of shocking! So many ugly truths in one go, yes I am sure many of us needed a glass of water to digest all of that. Shano has the satisfaction of knowing that the relationship between her and Khalil would be legitimate in the eyes of Allah if they were to get married. It was ironic that Rasheeda asked Shano to ask maulvi sahab about Khalil being a mehram or not when she left the house! I couldn’t help but wonder where Khalil’s father was now and if Shano knew all these details about her mother’s past then her father must know them too. Rasheeda also mentioned that this was Inayat’s second husband’s second marriage but we don’t know when that happened, who he was married to and whether the younger kids are his. There is obviously a great deal about this family which we need to know yet but that is not really important because the focal point of tonight’s episode like always remained the lead couple. The way Shano declared her love for Khalil in front of everyone who asked was a delight to watch; I love Shano’s boldness and Mahira Khan’s acting has added the charm which this character needed to make it what it is. Watching Qavi Khan play the maulvi was again a very good surprise, we don’t get to see actors like Qavi Khan and Irfan Khoosat gracing the screen with their presence when the roles that they are playing are not major ones, it just goes to show what great actors they are.
Khalil’s one liners … “agli baar tu mei akela hi jaun ga nahi tu wo mere Khalil honey pe shuk kare ga” “wakil ki bari tu baad mei ati hai doctorsaab pehle Khalil ki baari ati hai”were very filmy and witty! They reminded me of those one liners from films that get very popular and are quoted over and over again! Khalil knew only too well what was coming his parents’ way but he was not the least bit scared of what Shano’s parents thought or said because the only thing that matters to him is Shano’s support everything else is of no consequence. Khalil narrated the whole story of his meeting with Shano to Maqsood and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of that scene although most often such scenes put me to sleep. Adnan Malik own his character in this show; I love his confidence.
Fayaaz’s character seems to be growing a spine, I would actually like to see an encounter between him and Khalil and see what he has to say for himself then! Mukarram Kaleem plays Mr. Loser flawlessly. The dialogue “phir meri kasam kha ke yeh bhi kaho ke tangay tor lo gay us ki” was hilarious! Should I be feeling sorry for Fayyaz because I think I do (wink wink).
I do not have the words to praise Samiya Mumtaz’s laudable performance in tonight’s episode. The way she played the meethi churi was beyond brilliant. Rasheeda knows how to pull her husband’s strings and she makes good use of it. Khalil’s father said that Shano’s parents couldn’t just refuse this proposal that easily and perhaps he was right. That is the reason why Shano’s father asked his older brother who also happens to be Mr. Loser’s father to do the deed for him! Shano’s father took full responsibility for the decision although he is probably not even sure why he had to say no to Khalil’s parents in the first place! Rehan Sheikh plays the henpecked husband with absolute brilliance, he totally makes me forget Naimat Khan, that is what being versatile is all about.
Mahira Khan’s performance stayed top-notch throughout the episode. The first scene of tonight’s episode was badly dubbed especially because Mahira Khan’s acting was commendable but she was definitely not the one delivering the dialogues. Like every other episode of Sadqay Tumhare, this one too as simply beautiful, well done director sahab!! This is the kind of play that makes you laugh and cry with every character and every scene. Fayyaz made me laugh, Khalil made me go aww, Shano’s dialogues brought tears to my eyes and all the performances left me spell -bound.
So, how many people are in shock after hearing the truth about Shano’s mother and Khalil’s family tree? What questions arose in your mind after hearing what Shano told the maulvi sahab? That “najaiz rishta” dialogue in the last episode wasn’t so irrelevant after all!
And most importantly how many of you want that letter to be delivered to Khalil ASAP:)
This drama proves that sometimes one liners like “apne ap se bahar bara buzdil hun mei”“ap bhi purtey parhatey ho ya sirf rukhwali krte ho” “mulaqat ki hami bhur lu tu mulaqat zarur krta hun” ” pehli baar us ke chehray pe ghussa nahi tha, akr bhi nahi thi”and many more like these make the viewers understand situations and characters more than long paragraphs of in-depth analysis. All through tonight’s episode these one liners made me go aww, they made me laugh and definitely said a great deal about all the characters. The excessive use of Bha ji by Shano to make sure that Fayyaz knows that he is no more than that for her was a minor addition that made a big difference. I am sure many viewers like me could tell how Fayyaz must have felt every time Shano addressed him as Bha ji. The way Shano says ami Geven after her mother hits her showed that she knows she is right and that her mother’s behavior will not change anything at all, she remained unaffected by her mother’s response! How amazing was that! Khalil is a completely different person around Shano not because he is under the influence of Maqsood’s lecture or afraid of his khaloo but because he is in love! Shano is not Khalil’s zid but she is his love because if she was only a zid he wouldn’t have been so lost around her. The opening scene of tonight’s episode revealed a very different Khalil and from there on the viewers were going to be introduced to a whole new side of Khalil. When Khalil hears Shano telling Fayyaz off he does not know what to expect, he expected Shano to be completely different and she is just that but only when she is with Khalil.
Khalil makes sure Fayyaz knows that he is not his match at all. The way he literally bullied Fayyaz into silence was hilarious. Khalil was out to impress Shano and he knew exactly how to go about it. I would give full marks to Mukarram Kaleem for playing the annoyed yet helpless Fayyaz brilliantly.The letter which Khalil wrote to Shano was actually much more than just a love letter; Khalil means business, he wants to know if Shano is with him or not because if she is with him then nothing else matters. He is not going to waste time because he is intelligent enough to know what is coming ahead. When Khalil returns home after meeting Shano he is a changed man, the satisfaction on his face shows that he has found what he was probably not even looking for, like a man who stepped on a hidden treasure when he wasn’t even searching for it. Life has a new meaning for Khalil, he looks forward to Shano’s reply so that he can figure out what he wants to do next. In the last episode we saw Maqsood lecturing Khalil about love and how essential it was to respect the person he loved. Although that conversation was beautifully written but Khalil did not need to hear any of it because being in love has taught him everything he needed to learn…” pyaar se ziada us ki izzat krta hun”, Khalil tells the postman but he is not going to beg his khala khalu to accept his proposal.
Samiya Mumtaz plays the zalim samaj with perfection; what is a good love story without the samaj ki dewar standing in its way! Sadqay Tumhare to me is like a beautiful fairytale; we have a gorgeous leading lady, a handsome hero and the perfect vamp. It is intelligently written because everything is blended well, the romance and the humor. Humaira’s reaction when she meets Khalil and the way she describes to Shano how she recognized him later on was another beautiful aspect of tonight’s episode. Hearing those dialogues was like listening to a perfectly penned down piece of poetry.
Adnan Malik and Mahira Khan’s flawless performances along with the sizzling chemistry between the two makes the romance between them a treat to watch. Both of them deliver the romantic dialogues in such a way that they melt your heart and do not sound cheesy at all. Both these actors have brought their characters to life in a way that you can’t help but look forward to their scenes. Each and every scene deserves to be cherished. I have already watched the episode twice and intend to watch it over and over again! I am in love with Shano and Khalil’s love story, every episode of Sadqay Tumhare has delivered till now. The second this drama starts I know that I will be glued to be my television screen for the next one hour. Sadqay Tumhare is very special to me, I haven’t enjoyed a romantic play this much in a long time. A big thanks to the entire team of Sadqay Tumhare for a job very well done.
“Truth is like the sun, you can shut it out for a time but it ain’t going away!!” This episode was intense and even though I want Sadqay Tumhare to end now but I couldn’t help relishing the power packed performances along with some outstanding dialogues. The highlight of this episode had to be the scene between Khalil and Abdur Rehman and the one between Inayat and Rasheeda. The way both these scenes were handled was pure genius. The writer wrote these scenes beautifully and the director and actors did complete justice to them. The way Khalil opened up to his father was sheer brilliance; a normal conversation led to something which both of them were not expecting. It seemed like Khalil tried very hard to keep his feelings to himself but the bond that he has with Abdur Rehman is so strong that he just had to ask him if he really wasn’t his son. The way Khalil looked at his “father” before asking that question showed how amazed Khalil was that Abdur Rehman managed to “fool” him with all the love he gave him in all these years. It was as if he was hoping and praying that he really was his real father! The way both of them cried after that suggested how they wished that things were different. This pain was not just Khalil’s but his father was going to do whatever he could to make it go away.
“Kismat ne faisla kur liya hai ke athara saal pehle jis ne bhi zulm kiya tha us ko saza mile gi”…Shano’s last words have been haunting Khalil, he is convinced that he deserves to be punished and he is also very sure that being Sadiq’s son isn’t something to be proud of. Adnan Malik was simply flawless as the broken, shattered and bitter Khalil. Khalil thought that he could change everything in his life but now his life has come to a point where nothing is in his control. Khalil went to see Humaira not because he wanted to see if she really loved him but to tell her how wrong she was. Khalil’s intentions were “pure” when he hugged Humaira but he does realize that what he did was very wrong. I must say that Khalil and Humaira’s scenes did not work for me at all although Khalil went to tell Humaira off and some of the dialogues were very well written too but the constant reminder of the thaska and the jhappis was definitely not what I wanted to hear. Can we please close this chapter now? Maqsood’s reaction to whatever Khalil said made it look like he knew nothing. I must give full marks to Shamil Khan for bringing out the best in his character.
Whatever Rasheeda said to Inayat went to show how “differently” Rasheeda looked at Inayat’s life story. It is actually very interesting and relatable too how everyone sees themselves as the victim and all these people have a very solid explanation for thinking like that. Rasheeda does not want to understand the circumstances in which Inayat had to leave her children and Inayat never looked at whatever happened in the past from Rasheeda’s perspective. The difference between Inayat and Rasheeda is that Inayat moved on with her life but Rasheeda did not. It is an absolute pleasure watching Samiya Mumtaz prove what a versatile actor she is over and over again with every passing episode. We might hate Rasheeda but we can’t help but love the way this character has been translated to screen by an actress who has always played the bechari! I have always seen the actress playing the role of Inayat play negative and very typical roles but she shines in a completely different role in this drama.
“Mrne bicharnay ka koi tu bahana hota hai na!”… Shano wants Khalil to be away from her because she wants that he should shine the way he is meant to and he shouldn’t waste his life running after her. When Shano saw Humaira receiving the letter she knew that Khalil will never come to meet her for the reasons she was thinking he was coming to see her. There wasn’t much of Shano in tonight’s episode but Mahira Khan did her part really well even in the scenes in which she had no dialogues. The winning smile she gave Humaira when she received the letter showed that she still loved and trusted Khalil. The way she knew instantly that he was going to come showed that the connection she had with Khalil was still there.
Sadqay Tumhare is getting intense with every passing episode and it is impossible to figure out where the story will go from here. Even though the drama is being stretched beyond limit but I must confess that I really enjoyed watching tonight’s episode, it was very heavy duty but it was very enticing as well.

What a relief!! The dhaske ka totka was a story Shano made up to deal with the situation at that time. I am surprised that Khalil was foolish enough to fall for it! Shano locked all her emotions for Khalil in a chest and threw they key away. Will she ever open that chest again? It seemed most unlikely that she will go down that path again. Khalil’s conversation with his friend clearly indicated that he knew exactly what Shano wanted from him. The way Shano conveyed her feelings about what transpired between Khalil and Humaira was exactly what many of us wanted to see and hear. Shano knew all along that there was nothing right about what had happened and I would give Mahira Khan full marks for conveying just that from her expressions in the episode in which Khalil told her what Humaira had done! Khalil was absolutely wrong in thinking that it was okay to get so close to Humaira because Shano “allowed” him to do just that. All of a sudden everyone considers Rasheeda the victim but honestly speaking I have a very hard time looking at her from Khalil or Shano’s perspective. You can’t change your past but you can work on a better present by letting go of the past especially when it is so ugly.
Shano’s scenes with Rasheeda are always very powerful and the opening scene in tonight’s episode was no different. Shano understands why Rasheeda is still stuck in the past and considers her mother a friend although she has never really been a friend to Shano. Shano understands the power of love, she does not want her mother to love Amin because she knows that is not possible but she wants her to give him respect. The sacrifice that Shano is willing to make for her father is completely in line with her character and the way she decided to tell the truth to Khalil was something one would expect from Shano too. Shano has always been shown as someone who is very fair and impartial, that is one characteristic of her personality that has stood out more than any other and it is also the most likeable part of her character.
Khalil and Shano’s love story was always filled with complications due to outside forces but now the problems between them are because of what Khalil did. I am so happy that Shano held Khalil accountable for his actions. Shano is probably testing Khalil further by letting Humaira have access to his address – is this her way of proving that he really is like his father? Khalil feels embarrassed when doctor Mansoor tells him the obvious!! I guess everyone knows what measures one should take when someone is choking but it was somehow something brand new for Khalil!
The background score was too loud all through tonight’s episode which made it very difficult to understand some of the dialogues. Mahira Khan was the star of the show tonight. It seems like Shano and Khalil’s love story is about to end and the reason for that is not Rasheeda, Amin or Humaira but it is Khalil. Shano thinks that Khalil has let her down and rightly so too. Shano knows that Humaira has feelings for Khalil therefore she definitely did not call the Nikkah off on her recommendation.
I am waiting to see how this drama ends because right now it is very difficult to predict where the story will go from here but it is definitely time to wrap things up!
“Tu gorkun hai Rasheeda, gorkun..qabrin khodnay wali, teri dihari na na lage tu tujhe chain he nahi parta!” This episode was not as shocking and disappointing as the last one, Abdur Rehman decided to go back to Lahore which put an end to everything that transpired between him and Rasheeda in the last episode. Thank fully whatever happened after Khalil entered the room when Humaira was choking was not shown but the conversation between the two later on suggested that Khalil did exactly what Humaira did in the last episode! There was a little too much of Humaira and Khalil in this episode and the little that we saw of Shano and Khalil was not the sort of interaction which most viewers were looking forward to watching between the two.
“Meri ami ko burha krne ki tamam koshishi nakaam ho gayee”.…Sadqay Tumhare has been filled with many shocking secrets that changed the lives of many of the characters and also our opinions about them. The scene in which Shano narrated her mother’s twisted life story to Khalil to make him understand why her mother would never allow Khalil to be a part of her life was definitely very well written because the way Shano narrated the story went to show there was a part of her which understood why her mother could not get over everything that happened to her in the past. She did not blame her mother because she was too young to understand what was going on. Khalil and Shano’s love story was always filled with complications but whenever these two were with each other they forgot everything and enjoyed their time together. Tonight however things were quite different. Things seems to be getting even more difficult and uglier with every passing episode and the story isn’t moving towards a conclusion at the moment.
Inayat’s dialogue about how everyone was guilty of hurting someone or the other was spot on. In fact there were many dialogues in this episode that hit the nail on its head and really struck a chord with me. Inayat knows only too well that her husband got married to her only because he wanted to hurt Rasheeda and he might still have feelings for her. The scene in which Rasheeda looks in the mirror and “discovers” how much she had aged was absolutely brilliant. It was as if she had suddenly noticed that she had changed – times had changed – but that moment only lasted for a few seconds and soon enough she was back to the time where she was engaged to Abdur Rehman! Rasheeda is waiting for Amin to die so that she can stop pretending and finally live a life which she has wanted to live for all these years. Sammiya Mumtaz deserves a standing ovation for portraying all the shades of Rasheeda’s personality brilliantly. I might not like Rasheeda but I definitely understand her character more than any other and I understand why she is the way she is. Rasheeda decided 24 years back that she will not move on and that is why she held on to all those memories for all these years in the hope that some day she will be able to continue her love story from where it was “interrupted”.
Humaira and Khalil’s track is really putting me off, I hope that it comes to an end very soon. Listening to Humaira’s plans was frightening and Khalil isn’t exactly keeping his distance either. Tonight’s episode had some very powerful dialogues which is why it wasn’t as big a disappointed as the last one. I have been a big fan of Sadqay Tumhare but I think it is time to wrap things up now before the drama completely goes off-track. I feel like Shano and Khalil seem to be talking about everything else except what they should be talking about. Khalil did not tell Shano that Humaira was in love with him – is he really that “scared” of Humaira? Khalil shared the Peer’s story with Bay Ji but he did not say anything to Shano about it.
Will Shano tell Khalil that he is Sadiq’s son? How will he react to that? What will be Rasheeda’s next step? And what will become of Shano and Khalil’s “love story” which seems to have taken a back seat now?
This episode was like a SICK competition between Humaira and Rasheeda; both were out to prove who was more shameless and who could stoop lower to grab someone’s husband! Now who would enjoy watching that?? Shano and Khalil are not married yet but Humaira knows better than anyone else just what Khalil means to Shano, going after him so desperately like it was a matter of life and death was actually very difficult to watch. I was hoping that Humaira will not turn into another Rasheeda. Rasheeda will only let Shano get married to Khalil if Abdur Rehman gets married to her first and now Humaira wants Khalil to get married to someone else (hint hint) before he gets married to Shano. I think Rasheeda was crazy enough for everyone, another twisted and conniving character just makes things extremely complicated.
“Us ke baray mein is tarah kabhi sochna bhi na, buhat adab krti hai aap ka aur buhat pyar krti hai mujh se”… Shano’s expressions said something entirely different from the message that her words conveyed. Until now Shano has been shown as someone who is a very good judge of character but when it comes to her best friend it is almost as if she is incapable of putting two and two together. Shano questioned Humaira herself about the sudden change in her attitude with regards to Shano and Khalil’s marriage and now when Khalil is openly doubting Humaira’s intentions Shano cannot seem to figure out what is going on. It would have been nice to see a girl trusting her friend more than the love of her life but only if the friend was worth having faith in. Asking your fiancé to hug your best friend because you trust them both so much is wrong in so many ways!
We all know that Rasheeda is crazy but what happened to Abdur Rehman? Sleeping in someone’s lap is something very intimate and doing so in public is totally outrageous. Abdur Rehman was almost hypnotized by Rasheeda, it was as if she still exercised a lot of control on him. Rasheeda is capable of punishing Abdur Rehman in the worst way possible if he does not “comply” but whatever happened tonight was like taking it way too far! Although I know only too well that Khalil-ur-Rehman’s scripts are always explicit but mentioning that one night in the hotel over and over again really seems unnecessary. The fact that there wasn’t anyone else in the corridor of the hospital was really strange because usually hospital corridors are filled with people. Mansoor can see what is going to happen if Abdur Rehman continues visiting Balgan. His attitude towards what Rasheeda and Abdur Rehman were upto and later on the way he informed Shano about the situation was spot on. Other than that nothing about this episode struck a chord with me.
This episode did not work for me at all, there were way too many jhappis and betrayals in this episode for my taste! The drama has taken the most ugly turn possible. I was really hoping that Humaira will get a wake up call in this episode but the fact that she is going to go all out to get Khalil married to her is very difficult to digest and it is definitely not the sort of turn in the story which I was looking forward to watching. Khalil’s “helplessness” and Shano’s blind faith in Humaira was actually extremely frustrating. I did not expect Abdur Rehman to give into Rasheeda but he proved that he wasn’t such a gentleman after all.
The preview of the next episode promises a lot more drama. Inayat will be willing to “trade” Abdur Rehman for Shano! Amin will die in the next episode so we can only imagine what Rasheeda will do next. Humaira’s madness is not going to end anytime soon and I am so not looking forward to more jhappis like the one we saw in tonight’s episode, that was like taking it way too far!
I am extremely disappointed with these latest developments and especially the fact that everything has been shown in such detail. Khalil and Shano’s love story was sweet, Rasheeda’s villainous character fit in the whole scenario but at this point I did not want to see someone like Humaira turning into Rasheeda’s competition! Will these men please grow a spine and tell these women off the way they are supposed to! Tonight’s episode took harassment of men by women and “helplessness” of men in this regard to a whole new level. I feel led down since Sadqay Tumhare has always given me something to look forward to for the longest time. I hate to say this but the fact is that after watching tonight’s episode I have very little hope that things will get any better from here on. I am not looking forward to but dreading the turn that the story will take from here. For the first time I feel more angry than disappointed after watching an episode!

There were two major developments in tonight’s episode, both of which broke my heart. Humaira’s change of heart and betrayal did not come as a surprise at all since we all knew where the story was heading but the way she made Shano vow that she will not get married to Khalil was definitely a sad case of a friend stabbing her best friend in the back in the worst way possible. Humaira’s true feelings for Khalil only surfaced after Shano told her that she would not mind if Humaira got married to Khalil. Surely, those feelings were already there but those words just triggered them; it could be that Humaira thinks now that it was “okay” for her to feel that way about Khalil, like Shano had given her the “permission” to marry Khalil and now it was upto her to make that happen. I felt like Humaira is in love with Khalil’s love for Shano, she wants to be loved like that. “Us ke khat purh kur mohabbat ho jati hai us se”….Humaira fails to see the look on Khalil’s face when he sets his eyes on Shano, he can surely never be hers but she still wants to buy herself some time. I felt for Shano every step of the way tonight, Humaira was the only friend she had and now she too has turned into a Rasheeda! The presence of Bay Ji proved to be a consolation. Amin’s sudden paralysis changed a lot of things in Shano’s life; the nikkah did not take place and Humaira managed to convince her that the only way her father was going to get better was if she never got married to Khalil. I must say that Sanya Shamshad has handled this character with great maturity, I am sure many other viewers like me went from loving Humaira to hating her in no time!
Someone once said “selfish people live the longest!”, that is so true for Rasheeda. All this time Rasheeda was the one who was blackmailing everyone by saying that if things don’t go her way she will end her life but Amin turned out to be Rasheeda’s next victim. People like Rasheeda might let the hatred and grudge they feel for others kill them for inside but they will never do anything to harm themselves physically for anyone at all. Rasheeda loves herself too much to let anything happen to her but people like Amin are entirely different.
Amin could not bear the burden of knowing that his wife never loved him and that she still wanted to be with the man she was engaged to so many years back. Spending so many years with Amin and having his children has changed nothing, Rasheeda is the still the teenager who got engaged to Abdur Rehman. Abdur Rehman is an obsession for Rasheeda, having him in her life will serve not one but many purposes. Rasheeda will finally be able to get back at her sister for “stealing” her fiancé. Rasheeda sees herself as the victim, she fails to see that she was also having an affair with her sister’s husband which was the reason why her marriage failed in the first place. The way Rasheeda made the most of Amin’s condition was beyond disgusting. Abdur Rehman kept on giving Rasheeda the reality check she needed to get over whatever happened in the past but Rasheeda’s reply to him clearly indicated that she didn’t feel anything for Amin and she was more than willing to start a new life! Rasheeda fails to see that Abdur Rehman has “moved on” and he has a happy life with Inayat. The way Rasheeda openly keeps on making references to her affair with her brother-in-law shows that she is not ashamed of her past at all and she has learned nothing from it.
Apart from the flawless acting by all the actors, amazing chemistry between the leads and scenes that are beautifully shot the best aspect of Sadqay Tumhare has been that no matter what changes take place in the characters and the tracks one thing is constant – Shano and Khalil’s love for each other. Shano and Khalil’s feelings for each other never changed not even for a little while even when the circumstances were completely against them. There have never been any misunderstandings between these two because the way they trust each other is exemplary.
Will Rasheeda every pay for everything that she has done to people who loved her? She hurt her sister who never harmed her in any way, even when she found out that she was having an affair with her husband she quietly sent her away. Amin loved Rasheeda all these years but he did not even got her sympathy in return. Rasheeda cannot beat to see her own daughter happy. Will she be able to win over Abdur Rehman or create a misunderstanding between Inayat and Abdur Rehman? What is going to be the end of Shano and Khalil’s love story?
Overall, this was another emotional episode of Sadqay Tumhare that made me look forward to more.
