Bilal Abbas Khan who is winning the audience with his extensive range of roles will be playing the role of a Navy officer in the telefilm Laal. He has just played an out of the box character in the latest concluded Balaa and is winning hearts with his performance in Cheekh.

The star will be playing a Navy officer now in Laal. Laal is written by Umera Ahmed and the director is Haseeb Hassan. It is going to be aired on 23rd March and is a patriotic telefilm especially being made for the occasion of Pakistan Day.

Maya Ali has been a part of the PSL before too. The actress is the supporter of a super strong team Quetta Gladiators. Well, Maya Ali has also risen the popularity charts since last year as the actress is now also a film star with her debut film Teefa In Trouble doing extremely well at the box office and her second big movie Parey Hut Love ready to hit the screens this year.

Coke Studio was so bad this year that people had really left all their expectations from Pakistan’s music scene but then came Nescafe Basement Season 5 produced by Xulfi and people have gone gaga over it. The season has started on a great note with some super awesome songs coming out. One which has also rendered everyone speechless and is making people groove is their rendition of Mehbooba which was originally crooned by Haroon. It is spicy and the music is just outclassing.

Well, the voice of the original Mehbooba, Haroon was also floored by the rendition and showed his appreciation when he praised the singers and Xulfi on Twitter. This is what he had to say:

Sonya Hussyn is currently shooting for the upcoming movie Tich Button which is also the production debut of Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed. The actress is also one of the leads in the upcoming Sorry-A Love Story which will be directed by Sohail Javed and is being produced by Faysal Qureshi. The news of Sonya quitting the movie due to her differences with the director Sohail Javed was circulating lately and it was a sure thing that Sonya is not a part of Sorry anymore as she has quit the film.

However, she recently talked to an entertainment publication Galaxy Lollywood where she shared that she is not aware of why the news is circulating about her quitting Sorry since she is very much a part of the film. The news was, however, partially confirmed already but Sonya seems to have no idea about it.

Load Wedding was the film which combined fun, entertainment and social message together in great proportions. The film talked about the vices of dowry and being a widow in a society like ours. Load Wedding has added another feather in its cap by wining the Jury Award for the Best Feature Film at the Rajasthan International Film Festival. The film was also nominated earlier at the Jaipur film festival but it was the Rajasthan International Film Festival where they won the accolade.

PSL4 is just around the corner. It is an event the Pakistanis look forward to every year. This year too the event will start on 14th February. All the teams are getting ready to win the trophy and the fan’s favourite Peshawar Zalmi is putting out its cards. Peshawar Zalmi has been one of the most loved teams of the PL since the very first season. Thanks to its owner Javed Afridi as well as the captain Darren Sammy.

So, Coke Studio disappointed the whole nation this year. Yes, a song got viral too but not in a good sense. But Nescafe Basement is not coming slow. The debut has shocked the nation and people are loving the debutante Syeda Hadia Hashmi. The young singer is only 8 years old and by the way, she has performed has the whole country giving a standing ovation.

This year will see some mega releases and among them is Yasir Nawaz’s Wrong No.2. The prequel Wrong No. was a hit and was nothing short of a dark horse as it surprised many by its numbers. The director then went on to make Mehrunnisa V Lub U, which got a lot of criticism for its content but still showed good numbers. Now, it is time for Wrong No.2 and the first look poster is out. This is going to be a full-fledged comedy so obviously totally different content than Maula Jatt. The trailer release will show what we are getting with Wrong No.2.

The year 2019 is going to see many releases and is already looking like a good year for Pakistani cinema, at least quantity wise. A mystery film which was announced a few months back is Laal Kabootar. Laal Kabootar has names like Mansha Pasha, Ali Kazmi and Ahmed Ali Akbar attached to the cast.

Laal Kabootar is a crime drama and is based basically in Karachi. It will revolve around Mansha’s character and the teaser already looks interesting. A new poster of the movie has been released where we can see both Mansha Pasha and Ahmed Ali Akbar in their character avatars and the film’s release date is out too.

Laal Kabootar will be released on 22nd of March and will probably clash with Sherdil, an army movie tarring Armeena Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar, however, the release date for the latter has not been announced yet!

Farah Sadia is a morning show host for years now. To be accurate, Farah is the most decent morning show host and her content is always better than her contemporaries. She has done shows on many topics and also invites celebrities who are loved by everyone so people can see their favourite stars and know more about them. Saboor Aly was the guest at her show.
