Mariyam Nafees is a Pakistani television actress. She made her television debut in Hum TV’s drama Diyar-e-Dil as Zarminey. Mariyam has played the lead role in a new short film ‘Article 370’ directed by Ibrahim Baloch and produced by Madiha Majeed.

The movie shows glimpse of heart wrenching events that happened in Kashmir last year. The movie is released today specially on 5th August known as Kashmir Lockdown Day. The film will be available on seeprime channel on Youtube. The duration of the film is approximately 20 minutes.

The film features one verdict that changed everything. Its basically story of a Kahsmiri married girl Gul-e-Rana who is torn between her life’s biggest decision and reflects the life of Kashmiri Muslims. The girl is expecting a baby boy and waits for her husband Miru to return home after India imposes lockdown in disputed Kashmir. Her biggest blessing turned into a curse.

Ibrahim Baloch wanted to release the film, ‘Article 370,’ to mark the one year anniversary of India stripping the autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir.

The director analyzed the situation last year and came across stories of Kashmiri women in Srinagar who gave birth during the lockdown imposed by the Indian administration.

Mariyam Nafees, who played the lead role, stated that she was deeply inspired by the story as it depicts reality and sufferings of a family.

The film is full of emotions and very touchy.  Mariyam believes projects like these are not undertaken too often. The reviews of the movie are great so far and it is highly recommended.

Arth-the destination is the remake of Indian classic Arth. It stars Shaan Shahid, Uzma Hassan, Humaima Malik and Mohib Mirza in the lead roles. The story will be a bit altered as per the previous news. Shaan is playing the role of a singer, unlike his previous action hero avatar. Uzma looks completely different. The trailer is finally out after much anticipation and the film will release on 21st December. This will be the third big clash of this year with the first between Mehrunisa V Lub U and Yalghaar, second between Punjab Nahin Jaongi and Na Maloom Afraad 2 and now its Arth vs Rangreza. Arth is considered a cult classic in Bollywood. The movie was made by none other than Mahesh Bhatt and is even known to be somewhat his and late Parveen Babi’s biography. The classic is the first ever Bollywood film to be remade in Pakistan.

The posters of the film were recently released and they are incredible. Shaan will play the role of Raj Kiran, Uzma Hassan as Shabana Azmi, Humaima Malik as Smita Patil and Mohib Mirza will be seen as Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The story will be set in Lahore.

According to Mumbai Mirror Mahesh Bhatt gave the rights of movie to Shaan without charging when he showed his desire to make a remake of the film.

Shaan said: “Arth is the first film with the DNA of an Indian story to be set in Pakistan. If we want to strengthen film trade between our countries, Arth’s model is a great way of collaborating.”

Bhatt sahab also didn’t object to the film and said: “When Shaan expressed the desire to revisit Arth, I had no objection. The story has endured the passage of time and is available in public domain. Shaan wanted to use my story and present it as a local, indigenous narrative that suited his country’s palate. I’m not aware of what he has done. Every filmmaker has his own worldview and the freedom to reinterpret a story the way he wishes.”

We are totally looking forward to this one as Shaan will be seen in a different role after a long time.

Arth 2 is a remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Indian film, Arth. It is directed, written and co-produced by Shan Shahid. The cast includes Shan himself, Mohib Mirza, Humayun Saeed, Humaima Malik and Uzma Hassan.

The hype surrounding this movie had died down but recently Shan and Yasir Hussain shared some pictures and it’s revealed that Yasir Hussain will be making a cameo in Arth 2.

As per Osman, Art  is beyond boundaries. Why cant India and Pakistan collaborate in art and culture as both sides have talented artists which can support each other. Tamasha Season 3 just ended and this time around Arslan Khan became the 1st runner-up on the show. He was an introverted personality and remained largely respectful throughout the show. Arslan Khan is married to actress Hira Khan and they are very supportive of each other’s careers and journeys.

Once, a girl came to me for a photograph, looked at me and asked, ‘Are all Dadas really like you?’ Maybe she was really immersed in the character.”

It was few days back only when we saw people going head over heels for the dashing Arshad Khan. Girls in Pakistan and even across the border were all gaga over his looks and everybody fell for his dreamy eyes. He became the social media sensation overnight. He since then has been signing many projects and his music video with Muskan Jay has finally released.

‘Be Parwai’ is a remake of Legend Nur Jahan’s classic song, but the new version by Muskan is extremely unworthy. Arshad’s good looks in the video are most certainly praise worthy but the music video itself is a disappointment.

In conversation with the Images, Azeem said, “When I told him that we’ll be shooting in the pool, he was cool about it. He said, ‘The water will be cold, but I’ll do it.’ I think wo shalwar kameez pehen pehen ke bore ho gia tha (he was bored of doing shalwar kameez shoots) and wanted to do something different. I shot him for five to 10 minutes in the water and uss ne mujhay tang nahi kia (he didn’t cause any problems).”

Still, Azeem thinks Arshad has a long way to go.

“The problem right now is that he’s very desi. He has a totally plain look and until someone gives him a proper haircut and wardrobe, he can’t be transformed. And he’s not easy at all to work with. I had to tell him everything, but he was listening to and understanding what I was saying, so that’s good.”

Photographer/stylist Azeem Sani weighs in on Arshad Khan’s potential, “As people like him and respond to him, Arshad’s getting more and more energy. He’ll do better with practice.”

“I see him doing better in commercials as opposed to modelling. He looks better chalta phirta (while moving). He has great hair, great skin. Shampoo, soap commercials can totally be his thing, even if starts with a small brand.”

“He’s only 17 years old, I want to see what he’s doing five years down. As people like him and respond to him, he’s getting more and more energy. He’ll do better with practice.”

“Yeah, he’s probably 17. You can tell from his body, it’s like a child’s,” he concluded.

Rumour has it that Arshad Khan, the famous chaiwala who gained overnight fame is going to make an appearance at the PSL 2017.

He has decided to set up a tea stall outside of the stadium.

Arshad has also reportedly shown his disappointment over the fact that he was unable to get tickets for the PSL 2017 Lahore Final.

Previously, a very steamy photo shoot featuring Arshad with a female singer became the talk of town. While some cheered for him, others were all critical. They bashed him for earlier stating that he won’t do anything which would defame his family.

There was also news which talked about how Arshad might leave the showbiz but he denied all such rumors.

We are sure that his tea is going to be a hit at the PSL final.

The handsome guy, Arshad Khan will continue shooting for his debut film Kabeer. Reports of him leaving showbiz and returning to his dhaba were surfing on the internet as one of his managers confirmed his departure from the Industry.

Soon after, the new statement released by his another manager popped out and confused us, but the recent reports confirm that Arshad will continue his career in industry and has been restricted to do any sort of intimate scenes. His family has allowed him to continue his career only if he doesn’t do any intimate or bold scenes.

“It all started when one of Khan’s team members leaked his photos on social media and showed them to his family members in Mardan,” Rizwan Kazmi, one of Khan’s two managers told The Express Tribune. “He belongs to a religious family so obviously the photos didn’t go too well with them and they asked him to quit immediately because it brought a bad name to the family.”

Kazmi further added that Khan has now convinced his relatives and promised his father that he will never perform intimate scenes or participate in an objectionable photo shoot. “We have also fired the person who leaked these photos from our team because Khan had no clue how and when the pictures were leaked and what this all could do to his reputation,” added Kazmi.

However, sources told The Express Tribune that Arshad has actually left the entertainment industry and is making an exception for Kabeer to avoid legal complications. “Khan along with six of his family members have signed a contract to guarantee his participation in the film Kabeer. 40 % of the shoot has already been completed while the second spell commences on January 20, ” said Kazmi.

Arshad’s manager Rizwan Kazmi told The Express Tribune, “Arshad is getting good modelling opportunities abroad. He will be attending two big fashion events in Canada and the UK.” He said Arshad would be heading to the UK next month and Canada later in July.
