This serial is becoming dull and boring with every passing episode. Honestly speaking, there was not a single point which drew my attention and made me attentive towards today’s episode. I was literally yawning while watching it and on serious note, I was enjoying commercial breaks more than this show today.
Gaiti visited her mother to get rid of tension she faced throughout the night. In the meanwhile,Arsal came to a conclusion that prime reason of Gaiti’s hesitation towards Arsal is because of Nikah issue that she told him. He is aware of half-truth that Gaiti is confused whether she is wed-locked to Arsal or not. And to get rid of this issue, Arsal decided to go to a Mufti alongwith Gaiti but Gaiti refused to go as she knew that two sisters cant be wed-locked to same man at a time.
Kiran is living in her own fantasy world and expecting that some magic will reverse the situation and Arsal will be all hers.Though, Arsal is Kiran’s husband (according to the Fatwa generated in this serial),still Kiran is unaware of the fact.I can bet my life on that the day she will come to know about ugly truth, she will no longer stay away from Arsal.
Arsal’s brother is taking interest in Kiran but Kiran has completely fallen for Arsal.Aliya’s attitude is beyond my understanding level. She should have became normal with Gaiti till now but she is moving with high speed in reverse direction.
On daadi’s advice, Arsal took a positive step and tried to ease up Gaiti by asking her that they will be friends from now on and he wont ask anything from Gaiti till she herself will be comfortable and ready to tell him. At that time, I was pretty sure that Gaiti’s heart will melt and she will shake hand with Arsal but what happened was beyond my and Arsal’s expectation.. :P .
All they are doing is just slowly dragging this show and forcing us to stop watching it. Credit of this worst aura goes to poor direction and failure of production house. Knowing the fact that the issue that has been arose in this serial is too sensitive to handle and even to talk about, they should have done proper research and should have added some side tracks in the show too. With these silly discussions all the time, viewers get irritated and frustrated to their worst. If there will be a side track, there will be some attraction in serial and viewers would be able to bear this unsolved enigma.
Hope to see some developments in forthcoming episodes.
Episode started with a perfect frame of Naazo, wearing heavy earrings and having her dinner with rest of family members.I was wondering continuously that what is the occasion actually ? And then within a moment, I got a flashback that Aman presented those earings to Naazo as a token of his affection on getting distinction in her intermediate exams.Everyone was enjoying their meal to fullest except one person who is none other than Rudaaba. I laughed out literally when I saw that jealous look at Rudaaba’s face. On the other side, Naazo’s peaceful face expressions were telling us that she is no more uncomfortable now. But wait this is not the end of her tensions.
Naazo had her own dreams since her childhood. Her parents, Irum and Safeer also boosted her up to live up her dream of becoming a doctor one day. As medical studies require loads and lots of attention and Naazo’s attention is wholly for Meenu so she decided that she won’t go for medical studies and will continue with Bachelors in some general arts subjects. According to my point of view, Naazo should have given Meenu some space, no matter what it takes. In that way, Meenu would get used of Naazo’s busy schedule par Naazo tou Naazo thei. Out of two possible ways, she opted Meenu’s happiness and sacrificed her dream.
But she didn’t know that Aman was there to help her out all the time whenever she is in trouble, she sorted every issue and asked Naazo to start her medical studies. In the beginning, Meenu was the centre of Naazo’s attention, instead of her studies. From leaving for her medical college to during lecture in class, all she do is to take care of Meenu and think of Meenu.
Aman observed it many times that with Meenu’s responsibility Naazo won’t be able to continue with her studies so he decided to take Meenu’s charge in every possible way. As expected , Meenu found a new friend in Aman and she started enjoying every moment that she passes with him.
I can sense some negative vibes from Meenu. The way she discussed everything with Naazo regarding Aman and her friendship with her and her expressions were indicating some forthcoming storm in their lives.
I loved discussion between Aman and Naazo today. The way Aman said that Woh umhain chahti hai iss lyai mai usai chahta hu ,woh tum se mohabbat karti hai iss lyai mai uss se mohabbat karta hu narrated that what Aman thinks of his and Meenu’s relation.
Villain Rudaba and her mother are planning something fishy. I hope they wont get success in what they are thinking for Aman and Naazo. Lets see what happens next.
We finally got to see more of Haaniyah and Ahmed scenes and less of the additional tracks. I hope they get less screen space in the future too! Haaniyah was not comfortable with the idea of honeymoon and Ahmed sensed this. The poor guy tried to convince his mother but she kept a very valid point in front of him and since Ahmed is the obedient son, he couldn’t say no to his mother.
Ahmed is trying so hard to adjust with Haaniyah and he even told her that they don’t have to act as husband-wife, they can go as friends. But Haaniyah was not ready to trust him and one could easily make out that Ahmed got hurt by this. He never complains about Haaniyah’s attitude; if someone else was in his place then they would have seriously offended by the lack of trust shown in him. Ahmed was not even mentally prepared to get married and he married Haaniyah to give her protection and to save her reputation, she should at least realize that!
Thanks to Haaniyah’s never ending ‘nakhre’ they ended up in a resort in the same city. One could have expected her to at least try to adjust to the situation, but she never even tried to make small talk with Ahmed. It was Ahmed who was continuously trying to get rid of the silence, but all he got in return were half baked sentences. I seriously feel for this guy, he is stuck in an awkward situation and he is trying his best to remove the awkwardness.
Talking to Haaniyah is like talking to an emotionless and feeling less brick wall. Ahmed started off the conversation with questions like ‘What is your date of birth?’, ‘horoscope’, ‘favorite color’ which I found really cute. They practically know nothing about each other! And all of Ahmed’s efforts went down the drain when he announced ‘mera ager beta hoga to mein usse cricketer banaonga’. So yes, we were back to square one after that since Haaniyah got offended by his words.
They also showed some progress in their relationship. The way he got worried when he did not find Haaniyah in their room was extremely cute. He was happy to see her walking and enjoying the weather, and Ahmed finally came up with a solution to their problem. Ahmed expects Haaniyah to try to make an effort from her side too, and they finally came to the conclusion that they should behave like friends. Well, they could have easily thought of this solution sooner.
Haaniyah finally opened up to Ahmed and I was in a state of shock when I saw Haaniyah and Ahmed shopping, hand holding and enjoying in the park. I couldn’t be happier to see the progress in their relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed all their scenes!
Ahad is slowly realizing what a huge blunder he had made by ditching Haaniyah at the last moment. This reality check was given to him by his own friends. Ahad had become confused and scared when his friends had given him a horrible description of his life after marriage and this was one of the main reasons why he backed out. Till now, he was trying to justify his actions but now when his own friends told him that what he did was wrong, he had no justification left for his actions. Now he cannot deal with Haaniyah being Ahmed’s wife and his reaction to the news of their honeymoon proved that. I cannot imagine how Ahmed would have felt when he saw Ahad searching for Haaniyah when he came back home from the hospital.
Samina will get to know the reason behind Haaniyah getting married to Ahmed instead of Ahad soon. There was simply no point of keeping her in dark after the wedding was over. When the whole world had witnessed it, then why hide it from Samina? Yes, she has the habit of telling everything to her mother, but things like these cannot be hidden from her forever. Ahsan and his family should have realized this and could have told her a censored version to kill her curiosity.
The preview of the next episode was pretty disappointing. Haaniyah’s behavior is going from bad to worse and I think Ahmed should simply stop trying now. Calling Ahmed’s sincere attempt to build their relationship as ‘dekhawa’ was pathetic in my view. I hope someone drives some sense into Haaniyah soon!
Share your views about the episode; it is always good to hear from readers!
Both of these revolved around Zayaan revealing the truth to Ashiya and Maryam’s reaction to Zayaan coming in their life again. Both of these episodes were a bit slow, I would have liked it if it was faster paced. They could have covered all this in a single episode.
Ashiya felt an emotional attachment to Zayaan and this is the reason why she was so eager to meet him. Zayaan decided to reveal the truth to Ashiya through the pictures. Maybe if he had verbally told her that she was his daughter, she would not have believed him completely so he decided to reveal the truth in a very dramatic manner. Ashiya was on the top of the world to finally meet her father after all these years.
Ashiya also met Nusrat and Afshah and it was kind of surprising to see Nusrat so happy to see her. There was a time when she hated the small child just because she was a girl and now after so many years suddenly Ashiya has become so important. Maybe because she never had the grandson she had dreamed off! She has always used Ashiya to her advantage and even this time she is doing the same. Afshah sees a ray of hope in Ashiya and wants to use her to challenge Faiza. She is living a miserable life with Khurram who thinks of no one except Faiza, and she thinks that Zayaan would finally speak up in front of Faiza for her daughter. It was pathetic to see her lying about Maryam to Ashiya; she sure has some guts! If only she realized that she is suffering the consequences of her own actions instead of repeating the mistakes all over again! I guess it is useless to expect some people to change.
Nusrat wants to see Afshah happy and also wants to get out of Faiza’s tyrannical rule, and this is the reason why she brainwashes Zayaan to bring Ashiya in their house even though he had no intention to take her away from Maryam. The sad part is that she still does not regret a bit about what she had done with Maryam! Zayaa; however, does regret leaving Maryam. After suffering for 14 years with a dominating partner like Faiza, how can he not remember the loving, obedient Maryam?
He went to meet Maryam after so many years just for her daughter who has brought joy and happiness back in his life. Maryam could not believe that he had the audacity to come at her doorstep after what he had done to her, but people like Zayaan can do anything for their selfish motives.
‘Tumne Jo Mujhe Dukh Diye Hai Woh Poori Zindagi Ke Liyeah Kafi Hai’
I was really happy to see that she closed the door on Zayaan’s face. He is now thinking about his daughter after so many years; he did not think about her once when he divorced Maryam. But now things are going to get worse for Maryam because Zayaan will use Ashiya to pressurize Maryam to give him permission to meet his daughter.
It is normal for Ashiya to ask about her father; any child would! She also wants to spend time with her father like any other girl of her age and she thinks her demand to meet her father is justified. If she knew Zayaan’s reality then she would have never even wanted to see his face, and I really think it is time for Maryam to tell her the reality before she gets to hear a twisted version of it from Nusrat and Afshah. Afshah has already sown the seeds of doubts in her mind against Maryam and it will take no time for the misunderstanding to grow. Ajji advised Maryam to tell Ashiya everything, but Maryam does not have the courage to narrate the most difficult time of her life to Ashiya. She needs to gather courage soon before it is too late! Ashiya has joined hands with Zayaan and she will take his side when he will come back again to meet Maryam. Maryam was so shocked to hear that Ashiya is in contact with Zayaan, what will she do if she ends up losing her? If she keeps silent for long then she may lose Aashiya to Zayaan!
Zayaan has become so brave all of a sudden because Faiza is not in the country at the moment. He wants Ashiya’s matter to be settled before she comes back because then she would never let Ashiya come in the house. Thanks to the brainwashing done by Nusrat, now Zayaan wants Ashiya to live with him too! Do these people even have a conscience? I seriously doubt that they do! Zayaan is the most pathetic character ever! Faysal Qureshi has done a wonderful job as Zayaan!
I am really looking forward to the next installment which will be the last episode!
These days when the young Pakistani celebrities are trying really hard to improve the overall image of the people associated to the showbiz industry, there can still be seen the reflection of the old reputation of Pakistani actors and actresses who failed completely in their reign to enjoy a respect and dignity out of their career. Lollywood actress Laila has always maintained her pace to be in the news, at times for her affairs, and if not that then for violating the laws and visiting the jail even. The lady is now said to be associating herself with the young singer and winner of Sur Kshetra, Nabeel Shaukat.
Recently, a reputed printed media released the news stating about story that actress Laila is finding Nabeel Shaukat interesting enough to be linked with. The two met in a morning show three days before Eid and since then the actress is trying to contact the singer and sending him ‘adoring’ messages. Managing the awkward situation, his spokesman revealed that Nabeel switched off his cell and would soon be leaving for Holland because he is really not ready to be a part of any scandal which would obviously affect his newly-started career.
Actor Babar Khan has got engaged with actor Sana Khan. Babar Khan has done various roles in dramas like Ik Tammana Lahasil Si, Band Khirkyon ke peechhay, he has also participated in dance competition ‘Nach Le’ on ARY Digital. Sana Khan has also appeared in many dramas, her most famous role was in drama Perchayian on ARY Digital where she played the role of Zaviyar.
Best wishes to both of them for their new relationship.

Waar one of the most anticipated movie has released across Pakistan on Eid ul Azha. This film has been released on 42 screens nationwide. The film has received a very encouraging response from public and all of its shows are booked in advance till Sunday 20th October 2013. The film has also beat the record of Chennai Express of maximum business on opening day in Pakistan.
Waar has been able to earn Rs 11.4 million (1 crore 14 lakhs) on opening day, surpassing Chennai Express which earned Rs. 9 million (90 lakhs) on Eid ul Fitr this year. The accumulative business of first two days is Rs. 20.7 million (2 crore 70 lakhs) which is also a record.. The main competitor of Waar was Indian film Boss starring Akshaye Kumar but Waar has been well ahead in this competition.
The success of waar and beating record of a Shahrukh starrer indian film has also been noticed by indian media. Press Trust of India the biggest news agency of india and channels like CNN-IBN has given coverage to business of Waar.
The film is directed by Bilal Lashari and distributed by Mandwiwala Entertetainment. According to Nadeem Mandwiwala, distributor of film and owner of atrium multiplex cinema in Karachi, “Waar has made history by record breaking business in first two days. It is an encouraging sign for local cinema industry.”
The film has been given ‘A’ certificate by Sindh Board of Film Censor (SBFC), meanings only Adults (above 18) can watch this film. As per Omar Khatab, member of SBFC, reason of this decision is presence of violence and strong language in the film. Though censor board has given ‘A’ certificate but there is no tradition of asking for proof of age at cinemas.
The lady, who knows how to cash every possible move she can actually make in the showbiz industry, is enjoying the peak of limelight these days. Yes, we mean Mathira here. From her late night live hosting on a B-class channel to her controversial dance in the movie ‘Main Hoon Shahid Afridi’, Mathira’s career seems to be a journey with no ends. While her reputation still holds a confused state among viewers, Mathira has always proven that she is daring enough to pass big statements whenever she is questioned over a matter. It seemed no big deal for this controversy queen to call Shahid Afridi a mentally retarded man previously, and adding more stars in her debatable statement list, she has recently said that it is wrong to judge a woman from her clothes.
Defending today’s fashion in a talk show on SAMAA TV on October 18th, 2013, Mathira countered all statements of Mufti Abdul-Qavi who spoke on the fact that fashion industry in Pakistan is spreading vulgarity and indecency in the society. Mathira was blunt enough to say that it is truly inappropriate to judge a woman’s character on the basis of her clothing. She said that a woman wearing a top or jeans, or even a mini skirt can be a sober one. It was an awkward moment when she said:
“Dusray log karein tou theek hai, apnay log karein tou La-haul Wala!”
She further added (actually confirmed) that she is a Muslim and being a Muslim her life is all for her Allah and His Prophet (p.b.u.h), but it holds no sense to mix these facts with the fashion of today as the fashion designers are doing really well and are not crossing the social, ethical or religious boundaries.

This is not the first time we have seen such a debate on a forum, in fact, few months ago it was Veena Malik who was invited in this show and something very similar was seen on screen, which for sure, was an embarrassment.
Sanam Baloch and Abdullah Farhatullah have turned into one of the most happening couples of the year 2013 and since the day their Nikah has been held, their pictures are ruling the social media in the best possible manner. If u are a Sanam fan and had been following her morning shows lately, you must have noted that this newly-wed bride looks completely amazing with the new change her life has adopted.
We covered the news of her nikah just after it was actually held in Karachi and soon the Mayun pictures appeared on screen, reviewit.pk shared the beautiful collection of the eve with our readers.
Here comes even a better treat for readers who were looking forward to the Nikah/wedding photoshoot. Wearing a beautiful combination of red and white, the actress/host looks completely adorable on the day which for sure is, the most memorable one in her life. Like her previous photoshoot, her family is found enjoying with her, celebrating the night to fullest.
One of the most prominent actresses of Pakistan, Sanam Baloch, who is also loved for her outstanding hosting in SAMAA TV’s morning show, has recently tied the wedding knots with a close friend and a multitalented celebrity, Abdullah Farhatullah in a private ceremony, held at her place in Karachi. Making sure that the biggest eve of her life stays a private affair, the social media was kept completely away from the news and it was only the day her Nikah was held that SAMAA TV broke this news. Reviewit.pk too shared this news with its readers some hours after the Nikah was held and it was interesting to see that Sanam’s fans were really excited about the news.
While the couple is been judged for the fact that who, out of two secures a better position in looks, Sanam’s followers are looking for more clicks of the couple to know the every bit of it.
Here is a rich collection of all the pictures taken by Ify’s fO2 productions at the Mayun (Rasm-e-Heena) of Sanam Baloch.
Have a look!
The two, surely compliments each other in every way possible. May the couple enjoys a happy life together.
Not much happened this week in the show, it was more of a filler episode in my view. Everybody was after Qudsiya’s life and this frustrated her to no end! Qudsiya has had enough of the ‘qismat’ and ‘naseeb’ dialogues, and she got angry and upset with her mother when she told her to go back to Aaliyan’s house.
‘Jis Larke Ka Apko Naam Tak Yaad Nahi Ap Uske Ghar Mujhe Bejhna Chahti Hai’
Qudsiya was adamant on not going back to Aaliyan’s house because she feels that they are big people with small hearts as she had already seen in the span of a day. Plus, Aaliyan does not want to keep a relationship with her, and has already made it clear that he wants a divorce soon. Now going back would mean throwing your self respect away, and Qudsiya does not want to do that.
Qudsiya and Aaliyan are thinking about divorce while Zaheer is busy making plans for the Valima. I was amused by his wishful thinking that Aaliyan’s father would approve of Qudsiya, and accept Aaliyan and Qudsiya’s relationship. He is still tensed whether Qudsiya would be able to settle in the new house. Though Qudsiya’s mother tries her best to convince him that everything is fine, he still looks unconvinced. He is the only person who truly cares about Qudsiya in my view. The rest are all worried about ‘what people will say’
The biggest disappointment for Qudsiya is her mother who failed to understand her and emotionally blackmailed her by taking her father’s name. ‘Tumhara jeena marna ab wahi hai’ who says things like these nowadays?
‘Woh Aasman Hai Aur Hum Zameen, Hume Apni Aukat Nahi Bhulni Chahiye’
Qudsiya’s mother tried to explain the positive sides of her marriage (they were pretty lame in my view!) but Qudisya gave her a stark reality check about the situation. But in the end, Qudisya had to keep her self-respect aside and go back because her mother did not leave a choice for her.
I have a feeling that Dudi will be the one supporting Qudsiya in the house. She defended Qudsiya and her family in this episode when Aaliyan’s mother suggested giving Qudsiya’s family money to ward them off. The most hilarious scene for me was when Sultan (Aaliyan’s dad) was getting angry at him and Aaliyan was busy with his phone. He sure is a careless person and even Sultan points that out with that ‘mere manager tum se ache hai’ dialogue. I found Sheheryar trying too hard to be careless! His expression and body language was a bit overdone in my view.
Aaliyan finally shows signs of worry when he sees the clipping of his marriage with Qudsiya on the news. They all had thought that they would get out of this mess quietly, but now that the whole world knows about the marriage. It would be difficult to deal with the situation now that their family’s reputation is at stake!
Natasha’s expressions and weak dialogue delivery was a huge turn off. She had a stoned expression on her face when she heard about the news of Aaliyan’s wedding! Also, her acting in the scene where she barged angrily in Aaliyan’s house was not up to the mark.
Qudsiya’s frustration was at its peak in this episode. First, her mother was not ready to listen to anything, and now even her sisters were talking along the same lines as her mother. She clearly told them what Aaliyan had told her regarding the marriage and he only did it to give her protection. But they kept on insisting that he cannot divorce her and he might change his mind. Qudsiya just gave up in the end; she did not know how to convince them of the reality of the situation.
Okay, so how did Qudsiya’s earning appear out of nowhere? She had no earrings when she left the hospital, but the earrings magically appeared when she came back home. Attention should be paid to these kinds of things because they can get pretty obvious at times.
The preview was absolutely mind blowing! I am really looking forward to the next installment!
So sorry for the late review!
Till Next Week Mariam Shafiq
It seems only yesterday that we shared the Bakra-Eid of 2012 with our readers.Time surely flies. The Holy day of Eid-ul-Azha has fallen upon us again, making all the Muslims to celebrate the Holy Eve with an idea of sacrificing in the way of their Lord, the Supreme Authority, Allah. Out of the days which hold significant value to the Muslims, Eid-ul-Azha holds an immense importance due to the history attached to it. It was only a few hours back that the Muslims who waited all their lives to perform Hajj and made it possible this year, are done with all the obligations that are to be done in the act of Hajj.
Like every year, all the entertainment channels have been planning much of an interesting stuff to provide their viewers something worth following on Eid which obviously help them improving the channel TRPs.
Here is a compiled schedule:
We, the team of dramasonline.com and reviewit.pk wish all our readers and the Muslims of the world, a very happy Eid-ul-Azha. May Allah Shower His Blessings upon all His creations.
Despite of all the love and patriotism, the fact remains a fact that Pakistan is turning into a country where one can surely not expect his life, family and money secure. Fehmina Chaudhry, a Singapore-based Pakistani model is found murdered in Islamabad after been kidnapped for ransom on October 12th’2013. It has been said that the model was lured by Muaz Waqar who brought her to Pakistan and demanded Rs. 2 Crore against her release.
Police officials told that the accused Muaz Waqar was traced out with the help of the phone record and he confessed the murder during investigation.
After the confession by the accused, police took him to the crime scene and recovered the dead body of Fehmina Chaudhry. Fehmina had two children.
We condemn this murder and all the incidents where we witness a complete failure of law enforcing forces.
Ohkay, now I am completely fed up with this Nikah issue of Gaiti. The issue is dragging so slowly and unnecessarily. But point is, whole plot of this show revolves around this sensitive issue. Still, they shouldn’t test viewers patience level.
Gaiti,as expected, was not at all easy after all the post-wedding scenes where she happened to be all alone with Arsal. She is acting completely right to the situation in which she has been put in. But on serious note,I am completely fed up of watching Sohai Ali with that sad face and with same expressions always,I dont know why anyone cast her for some role other than that or why she take similar kind of projects and not experiment her acting skills.
Arsal’s life is half-messed up. Every time he tries to make Gaiti comfortable, he himself gets irritated that why his wife is acting this way ? But, I must appreciate Arsal’s take on what Gaiti thinks and feels for him right now.He is taking everything positively and not at all creating any drama. But there are times his patience goes beyond limits and his angry nature comes out.
Gaiti’s mother is sad at her place. For Gaiti, she was the culprit of everything that was done. And Gaiti’s mother is accepting the fact that all of issue arose because of one wrong step she took in immense pressure and tension. All she is doing is haunting herself and will keep on haunting till everything won’t be revealed in front of Arsal.
No wonder why Kiran is still acting immature. Her every action tells that deep inside she has started liking Arsal. She was sad when Gaiti went along with Arsal after her wedding not because her sister went ,but her sadness was primarily for Arsal. And when they took breakfast for Gaiti,Kiran’s eyes were continuosuly on Arsal and after she came back, she was still thinking of her and Arsal’s interaction.
Interesting point is that ,Aliya is actually liking Kiran and finding her more friendly as compared to Gaiti. The way she said that its difficult to distiguish that which one is bride and which one is not as both of them are wearing red dopattas ,somehow made Kiran happy and Gaiti and her mother a bit worried.
I don’t like Gaiti’s father attitude towards Gaiti’s in laws. Though he is portrayed to be a man of rules, still he could have drew a border line while uttering every word in front of Gaiti’s inlaws. There are times when I was kind of surprised that he is carving ways for his own son in law to speak up harshly in front of him anytime in forthcoming days. And this will happen soon after Arsal will come to know about Nikah matter. He will then ask his father in law that where were you rules and regulations when all three women of your family made Nikah,a joke for him.
Very last scene of episode depicted thta Arsal will take some serious step for his Nikah with Gaiti again but preview is telling another story.Gaiti will not be ready for Nikah for sure as her sister is already wed-locked to Arsal. Kiran’s expression on being asked by her mother whether she likes someone or not was suspicious one.I am looking forward to the time when Arsal will come to know that Kiran is his wife, not Gaiti.
Just after the news of Sanam’s confidential Nikah Ceremony in Karachi, the Pakistani drama fans are now again left with a pleasant surprise. Model-turned-actress Ainy Jafri recently got engaged to Faris Rehman in a private ceremony probably last month. There were news about the rumor, however, there was nothing much reliable available to believe on. However, it was recently that the rumor-cum-news got highlighted. The celebrations were done at Ainy’s place where all her relatives and close friends showed their presence. The news was officially revealed when the event pictures got leaked on the social media, catching fire like woods and making Ainy’s fans shock in no time. The beautiful, very young, the ‘Aseerzadi’ of the industry is no more single. Yes!
While Ainy was questioned about the news, she was confident enough in replying that:
“The engagement was a very small, intimate affair amongst close family and friends,”
Ainy looked extremely gorgeous in a beautiful ivory angrakha with traditional gold embroidery. Her engagement make-up was done by Natasha Khalid of Natasha Salon and her hair were done up in a side-swept romantic braided do, adorned with dull gold floral trinkets, making her look like a perfect engagement bride.
People who look forward to know more about her better-half, Faris is a 32 years old equity analyst by profession, who works at Fidelity Investments in London.
PFDC L’oreal Paris Bridal Week was held at Faletti’s Hotel. We came across diversity and much of experimentation with colors and beautiful models wearing traditional and contemporary bridal wears set the ramp on fire.HSY creations took the limelight as always. Have a look at the bridal couture that was displayed :
On serious note ,when I came across the promos of this serial ,I found it very attractive and expected it to be a very nice story with perfect direction. After all it is directed by Faheem Burney and we have very high expectations fr0m him after Yahan Pyar Nahi Hai and then Tanhayi.
Faheem’s specialty is that he pays pure attention to locations and I admire this approach of him because our country is not at all deprived of natural beauty. All you need is to put some effort in going and managing to make a serial with beautiful outdoor locations. This will not only help in getting a great viewership of serial but also help out Tourism sector to grow economically which is the need of hour.
Anyhow,I am not at all finding this serial engaging right from the beginning but this episode somehow managed to grab my attention. Beena tried to break up Ahmereen and Farooq’s engagement by hook or by crook. But she was badly failed in every step she took and she finally gave up in breaking up this engagement.
She asked Farooq to go out of her life so that she will be able to compromise with the situation she has been put in. She is right at her place that if Farooq will live infront of her as her brother in law,how will she be able to forget everything. She is ready to forget everything but not at the cost of letting her sister get married to Farooq.
On the other side,Aarib is feeling lonely without Beena. Poor Aarib, keeps on thinking about Beena without having any negative thoughts for Ahmereen. He is not taking much time to move on with his life as compared to Beena. From last couple of episodes,Beena made every situation to be more complex and intense and there was a time when I thought that this marriage will no longer exist. But it was Aarib ho sorted every possible way out and made it work for them. There wasnot even a slightly little effort from Beena’s side except for one episode as far as I remember.
Beena is realizing that Aarib is an extremely caring and loving husband.Apart from that, she has also developed a sense of respect and care for him as he is the one who was always there for her even at worse times when she was letting him down.
And now when Beena is ready to go along-with Aarib, Beena’s mother is asking her to stay at her home. I wonder why Beena is not speaking up and telling her mother that Aarib is extremely nice and caring husband and he is not at all the way she and Ahemreen thinks of her.It is th fruiot of all the ambiguities that were developed by Beena in heart of her mother and sister merely for Farooq.
Poor Aarib didnot give any clarification every time he comes across such type of situation neither he ask for any explanation form Beena’s side.So far, 9 episodes of this serial have been aired and it was dragged slowly and worsly. I hope when Aarib will come to know about Beena’s reality ,he will accept her. But this wont be the story I guess. Whatever will happen, I need a strong turn in this story as I can’t sit through one more episode of this serial anymore.
Pakistani singer and actor who has drastically improved his acting career in India, Ali Zafar has turned into an irresistible icon with a huge fan following at both ends where lately, one of his Indian fans changed her name after Ali to show her love and dedication towards Ali. Making Pakistan proud in the field of acting and promoting the message of peace and friendship in India, Ali is all busy with a number of projects which keep him all occupied.

Ali got hit on his face and was taken to the hospital directly. It was fortunate enough that the damages were trivial and soon the actor was discharged from the hospital. Showing his willpower, Ali got back to the shoot directly and continued to work.

This show is getting more interesting by the week. The pace of this show and the screen space to the additional tracks can get a bit annoying though. I have gotten used to its pace, but the additional tracks seriously get on my nerves. Why do they get so much screen space anyways? I do not want to watch the fights between Ahsan and Samina. I have seen enough of them to last a lifetime.
What makes me watch this show week after week is the chemistry between Haaniyah, and Ahmed and their scenes are only thing I look forward to in this show. Their relationship is slowly developing and we finally got to see some differences in Haaniyah’s attitude towards Ahmed too in this episode.
Ahmed was very happy to see Haaniyah cooking for her ‘kheer pakai’ rasm. The way he innocently came in the kitchen and immediately tried to taste what Haaniyah had cooked was extremely adorable. He was told off by Haaniyah in a very wifely manner. And then Ahad had to come and ruin the atmosphere by announcing that Haaniyah had made everything that he likes.
For the first time Haaniyah initiated conversation with Ahmed when she tried to explain why she had cooked everything that Ahad likes because apparently those were the only dishes she knew how to cook. She looked so innocent when she asked him ‘Ap Naraz To Nahi Hai’ and Ahmed had a huge smile on his face because Haaniyah had spoken to him properly for the first time. I am glad that Ahmed is not so narrow-minded, and he understands situations easily. He did not even react when he saw Ahad’scall on Haaniyah’s phone even though he caught her lying to him. I love everything about Ahmed’s character. Fahad Mustafa has done a fabulous job as Ahmed!
‘Tum Bohat Achi Lag Rahi Ho’
‘Ji’
‘Phir Ji!’
‘Ji?’
‘Ji Kuch Nahi’
The ‘Ji’ scene was another extremely cute scene. Ahmed is fed up of Haaniyah replying him with ‘Ji’ all the time. This scene cracked me up! The constant ‘Ji’ from Haaniyah literally made Ahmed roll his eyes. It would need a bit more time for Haaniyah to open up to Ahmed completely. Ahmed needs to wait for a bit more to hear full sentences from her in reply! All the Haaniyah-Ahmed scenes were beautifully directed and enacted by the actors!
Ahad had the guts to face Haaniyah’s family when they came to his house for Haaniyah’s kheer pakai rasm! He still does not think that he has done anything wrong and faced everyone without an ounce of guilt. Haaniyah’s family had a hard time controlling their emotions towards him though.
Ahad again managed to gain sympathy from his family when he had an accident. His mother started pampering him all over again and even his father softened when he heard the news of his accident. Ahmed has always been supportive towards Ahad even after he left Haaniyah at the altar; he never got angry at him or blamed him for anything. Ahad is the one who cannot deal with the situation and blames his brother for marrying Haaniyah.
Haaniyah really needs to make up her mind already! When she heard about Ahad’s accident, she got extremely disturbed but after her conversation with her mother, she realized that she hates Ahad and should not cry for him. Haaniyah, you really need to stop thinking about Ahad and move on already!
Well, I am glad that the story is finally moving now and we are getting to see some interesting scenes. I really hope we get to see less of Ahad, Samina, Ahsan, Zaheer and Afshah and more scenes between Haaniyah and Ahmed.
I do not understand one thing; why is Ahsan living with someone like Samina. He sure has some patience to deal with her!
These two installments concentrated on the misunderstandings created by Fatima against Maira. She finally got her revenge by revealing the details about Bilal being Maira’s ex-fiancé to Shahab, though indirectly. Just when things were getting back on track for both Maira and Shahab, Fatima created another misunderstanding between them. The scene where the maid announced that ‘Bilal Maira’s ex-fiance’ is calling was definitely worth watching; especially the expressions of both Maira and Shahab.
Badi Sarkar never leaves a chance to insult Maira and this time she was plain cruel to her, accusing her of being characterless along with many other things just because she saw her talking to Bilal. Shahab was in a dilemma about the situation, but he did try to defend Maira in front of Badi Sarkar when she was accusing her mercilessly. Badi Sarkar and Fatima further added fuel to the fire and kept on insisting that Maira was in a relationship with Bilal despite being married.
Both of them realized that Shahab is getting attached to Maira, and giving her more importance than she deserves and this made them take this step to take Shahab away from Maira. Badi Sarkar cunningness was shown when she pretended to take the blame on her head for making the wrong decision by getting Shahab married to Maira. She tried to direct his attention towards Fatima and his impending marriage to her, but as usual Shahab showed no interest.
‘Fatima Sirf Tumse Pyaar Karti Hai
Per Mein Fatima Se Pyaar Nahi Karta
Per Mein Karti Hoon’
This scene was simply power packed; the way Badi Sarkar clearly told him that Fatima is her choice and he will get married to her whether he likes it or not. Shahab avoids Fatima like a plague and has made it absolutely clear that he has simply no interest in her. I loved the scene where he clearly tells her ‘din mein khuwab matdekho’, when she informed him that they are going to get married soon. Fatima can scheme and plot as much as she wants, but it is clear that she would never be able to make place in Shahab’s heart. When all her attempts to talk to him failed, she used another tactic; she put salt on his wound by reminding him that even his wife is not sincere to him. The trick surely worked because he said some really hurtful stuff to Maira when she tried to defend herself.
Maira had enough of everyone accusing her of a deed she did not commit and tried to explain to Shahab, but he was not ready to believe her. Even her father did not believe in her innocence and blamed her for ruining his reputation when Badi Sarkar informed him of Bilal’s phone call. The surprising twist in this episode was that Peer Jalal for the first time took interest in a matter of the house. He knows Badi Sarkar’s nature very well and could not believe her when she accused Maira of being characterless. He wanted to see how valid were the accusations and asked questions from Maira by making her take an oath on Quran. He was the only one in the house who truly believed that she was being wrongly accused. Surprising indeed! We got see a new side of Peer Jalal; maybe there is more to him than what is shown.
Yasmeen and Maira’s relationship has its ups and downs. At times Yasmeen is very rude to Maira and says the most hurtful things, but at other times when Maira is upset or in trouble, she sides with her too. I was shocked to see her siding with Maira when Fatima was deliberately making her upset by giving her the news of her and Shahab’s marriage. Yasmeen also seemed happy when Maira gifted her Walkman. It is difficult to understand what is going on in Yasmeen’s mind! She cannot see Maira happy, but she cannot help but console her when she is sad either, though she never forgets to add a few hurtful things here and there.
I do not blame Shahab for misunderstanding Maira; he was just a victim of Badi Sarkar and Fatima’s plan. He is a very straightforward and simple guy and he simply cannot understand the games that these two play. But I still think he should have given Maira a chance to explain herself. He will definitely believe that Maira is innocent when Peer Jalal will tell him himself, but I doubt Maira would forgive him easily for not believing her.
From the preview it is clear that Badi Sarkar intends to get married Shahab and Fatima married soon. Some interesting twists and turns are coming up ahead, so do keep watching!
Before saying anything, I must say that I did become a fan of the ambiance, the environment, the screenplay, the photography of the drama but what didn’t convince me was the direction at all. I think it was too slow & the episode on the whole was plain boring with nothing happening.
I actually couldn’t quite understand the need of the director to show the running water from the tap, to show the plant which wasn’t being trimmed, to show the cars being parked or accelerated till they vanished from our sight, to show Wali actually lazing on his bed, to show the driver driving a car & later showing the driver ease in his seat & especially put his topi on his eyes to block the daylight. I think all those shots seemed completely unnecessary & didn’t even fit well as some sort a filler. The background score was replayed to the extent where it got annoying. I know the plain silence would’ve been harder to tolerate because there were no such dialogues to be exchanged between the family members therefore they resorted to the OST to fill in the blanks.
I think Wali’s relationship with Mahjabeen should’ve been a lot more than just an exchange of a few glances. It was absolutely pointless to show Wali hovering around like a life-less soul who watched her do the household chores, who gave her mixed signals whenever their eyes met & who had nothing in the heart for her but only her hair-clip in his hands. I believe Wali’s feelings must be growing towards Mahjabeen but what Mahjabeen reminisced about Wali’s childhood was actually disturbing. What must be going on through Mahjabeen’s mind whenever she’d see the young boy she raised & comforted, as her husband.
The only powerful scene was that moment when Mahjabeen felt a rush of emotions which made her fists fidgety. Alamgir who actually tried to talk about getting married to Mahjabeen was conveniently talked out of the idea because it came as a bad idea to be put forward to Bare Sahab. I think a little but significant revelation was about Mahjabeen’s brother who actually gave his word as a witness in a case which was filed against their property. Even though nothing mattered & his testimony didn’t cause any harm to them but that was enough of a label for Mahjabeen to be the sister of that person & for that her fate was sealed.
I found Neelam’s acting absolutely forced & she came across as some girl who definitely had some confidence issues while dialogue delivery. Even though she’s far off in a hostel, she still got an idea of what was going on between Wali & Mahjabeen which was nothing more than a doctor’s visit which Wali arranged for her & then a little apology which Neelam has yet to find out about. She was already irritated at the news of Wali caring for Mahjabeen that God only knows what she will do if she finds out Wali apologized to her & held onto Mahjabeen’s hair-pin.
I think there’s a dire need of some sort of a progress in the story. I have been reading the comments which clearly shows that the viewers are already annoyed & when characters like Salima have more dialogues than the main characters, it doesn’t help at all. I hope for the sake of the avid followers of this drama that the story moves on & the mystery of Wali & Mahjabeen’s marriage is revealed.
Keep Supporting,
Cheers, Zahra Mirza.
PS: On a humble request of Fatima Awan, I am filling for her this week. So, dear fans of Fatima, please bear with me & let us give her some time off. :)
The most anticipated Pakistani Movie of the year is all set to release this Eid Ul Azha. Premier of Waar was held in Karachi and no doubt,we have seen star studded Premiere of this movie. This movie is directed by Bilal Lashari and star cast includes Shaan,Aisha Khan,Ali Azmat,Meesha Shafi and Shamoon Abbasi. As far as verdict of this movie is concerned,it will lead Pakistan Cinema towards new heights but is not good from intellect point of view.
So far, we came across Aman concern for Nazo and Nazo’s shyness and quietness showing every possible emotion that is impossible to narrate for an over talkative person..Khamoshi mai jo baat hai woh bolti zubaan mai kahan..
My prediction about Safeer and Irum’s accident proved to be right. Meenu ruined Nazo’s engagement dress due to sheer jealousy that her Nazo is going to be someone else’s property and not hers.
As soon as Nazo saw the dress, she told Irum and Irum decided to buy another one for her as it was the day of her engagement and she doesnot have any formal dress to wear plus Irum didnot want her dress to be worn by Nazo on her engagement day.All she wanted for Nazo is to look best and wear a new classy formal dress so she went to buy a new dress for her along with Safeer.
That very moment depicted itself that something bad is about to be happened soon. Their good bye, Nazo watching all pictures of Irum,Safeer,Meenu and her and everything else was forecasting about upcoming storm in their lives. And then the most heart rending part of drama came, when Safeer and Irum came across the worst accident and died on the spot. Poor Meenu and Sad Nazo were left all alone.
I would like to congratulate the entire direction team that they directed post-death scenes really well. The way Nazo said that “Mai aik baar phir yateem ho gaye” made me cry almost. Nazo was right, few years back,Meenu was the reason for Nazo to live, smile and stay happy and now Nazo will become the reason for Meenu’s happiness all around.
I am really hating Rudaba’s attitude towards Nazo. Her every dialogue pinches me.Soon, after Nazo came to Aman’s house to live alongwith Meenu,Rudaba’s attitude was untolerable. She was indifferent and was making every possible attempt to make her family members think same as what she thinks and plans for her life. But Aman’s family had faced one problem of Nazo’s property due to Rudaba and luckily they are intelligent enough to not listen any of Rudaba’s stupid ideas and comments that she give regarding Nazo.
Meenu was forced to go with Safeer’s khala and Nazo was feeling so helpless because she was so attached to her. They both are each other reason to live after Safeer and Irum’s death.
Height of cheapness came ,when Nazo came to thank Aman’s brother for Meenu’s admission in new school and Rudaba said that you will get many chances of thanking everyone in this house in forthcoming days as you will get admission in medical college and medical college expenses are too much too handle. Her taunting and rude behavior hurt Nazo deep inside and after that she started feeling insecure. She was right at her place but Aman was unable to figure out that whats going in Nazo’s mind and why is she feeling so insecure while living in their house.
Aman and aman’s younger brother were not only sharing same blood but also they are really good friends.Unlike typical brothers, who keep on fighting with each other, they were completely different. Its because of him , Aman tried to make Nazo easy instead of haunting them every day.
Nazo and Aman’s scenes were too cute to handle. In that purely negative environment, their scenes were like cool breeze blowing. Ahsan khan’s expressions and Aiza’s quietness while staying all alone with Aman steal the show.
Rudaba is following the teachings of her mother and is not sparing Nazo from taunting everytime she comes across her.I really like Aman’s concern towards Meenu but his concern for Meenu will be taken somehow negatively by Meenu when she will get older in forthcoming episodes.
Preview of next episode is suggesting some more drama and fuss created by Rudaba and Aman’s family sorting the possible way out to get rid of fuss created by Rudaba. They will come to a conclusion that Aman and Nazo should be wed-locked so that Nazo will not hesitate to ask Aman for anything she will need and it will be Aman’s duty to fulfill all her needs and desires afterwards.
Do give your valuable feedback. Stay Blessed, Rabia Basharat.
Sanam Baloch is one of the A class Pakistani actresses who are loved and respected by the audience for their on screen acting and off-screen morality. As per the reports been collected from official sources, Sanam Baloch just tied the knots with her close friend Abdullah Farhatullah, last night.

TV host and actress will now also be known as the wife of Farhatullah who is associated with DAWN and SAMAA TV and serving these reputed channels with his writing and hosting. The couple got tied in a privately held Nikaah Ceremony at Sanam’s place in Karachi last night and since then the social media is all busy in spreading the big news among their fans.
Abdullah is a Computer Systems Engineer and also holds the position of Creative Director at ‘Hazaar Dastaan’. He was also previously affiliated to A Plus Entertainment.
The ceremony was dealt as a private affair but the Rukhsati ceremony is expected to be held soon where Sanam is more likely to invite all her friends and co-artists.
We Wish Sanam and Abdullah a very happy life together!
Apparently the hell broke loose in both the households when the couple decided to let go off their secret love & told their families about it. As usual both of their parents at first resisted them from committing such a mistake but they had to agree because Arez’s family had some ulterior motives based on the financial benefits whereas Eshaal’s father surrendered for now thinking he will make Eshaal grow out of her marriage with Arez.
Ehsaal, who at first didn’t seem to like Rehbar much at last relied on him as an elder brother to convince her father. Even though Rehbar agreed to speak to Dad but it was pretty evident that he had a plan of his own. I think Rehbar found peace in Eshaal’s below-the-belt choice of a spouse for herself because her father has always planned certain things when it came to his daughters’ weddings along with the standards he had, but this time his plans slipped from his hands & a middle class guy overtook him. Rehbar who plans to seek revenge for how he fell prey to Dad’s mean tactics, definitely felt a sense of victory because of Eshaal’s decision.
It came as a shocker where both of their parents acted submissively & agreed to get them married. Dad at first tried to insult Arez but he knew who he wanted & that was only Eshaal. Arez is least bothered about her background & her bank balance but just wants her as a wife, who he’d support by all means necessary. Eshaal’s father has for sure offered a job to Arez in his company but I am sure he will mistreat him.
Javed Sheikh’s plans started right at the beginning of their married life where he chose to insult Arez along with his family & in front of all the guests who had come with his family. Poor Eshaal didn’t know but was just as excited as any bride would be when she’d be having a love marriage. Even though Shahrez tried to retaliate but Arez just didn’t want to blow things out of proportion because he cared for Eshaal & he knew that she had no idea of what was going on. I think Javed Sheikh intended to insult the groom & the barati so that they’d go back & his plan of getting his daughter a divorce would materialize but all the credit goes to Arez for thinking rationally at that point & not making a fuss. The way Eshaal’s rukhsati happened was another shocker because it showed her family had no interest whatsoever in her marriage & Eva was kept in the dark too. Eva had no idea in what was going on & trusted her father for taking care of the things rightly but despite all that I believe she should’ve been there for her sister.
Whenever I see any such female characters who are in a dreamy world before getting married, it looks really annoying but I must say I loved Eshaal & her plans. Her excitement, her happiness, her thoughts were just adorable & what made it better was the direction which helped in executing the right emotions perfectly & made them come across to us as realistically as it could get. Eshaal, just like any other single girl, who was about to get married to the love of her life, was over the moon at the thought of being with Arez & Arez handled her feelings with care & made certain promises of making her happy after the wedding.
I loved their chemistry & the way they acted out as a newly wedded couple was just perfect. Arez who was disappointed by the treatment he received at her house didn’t even bother to mention it in front of his wife because while speaking to her he got the hint of Eshaal’s obliviousness & he knew that she was unaware of what just happened. Eshaal, who was sent away by her father halfheartedly didn’t pay much heed to it & just forgot everything when she got a chance to be with Arez. His mother sent a clear few signals of what sort of ‘saas’ she would be but where Eshaal tried to understand her point, Arez put a stop to his mother’s anger.
Their post-wedding conversations & the love they had in each other’s eyes was shown beautifully. Eshaal didn’t come across as a naive girl who had unrealistic approach towards marriage, in fact, to me she looked really cute when she was telling how she plans to lead a life with her husband. She, for now is just a hopeless romantic who things married life would be all about motorbike rides with her husband & road-side snacking at any time of the day. Sadly they were interrupted by Soni right in the middle of their imaginary world & that’s not going to be the last time it’s going to happen.
I know the story may seem really predictable from here onward but I am so far loving the realistic execution of the drama. The story is progressing at a right pace, the direction seems perfect, production seems top-notch & what makes is better is the perfect performances by the actors. Each & every character is very relate-able & it makes us want to see more. Can’t wait for the next episode.
This latest episode focused on showing everyone’s reaction to Sikandar and Kiran’s relationship coming to an end. The most appalling reactions were those of Faiqa, Shaista and Arzoo. We already knew just how short-sighted and shallow these women were but even then every time the manner in which they justify themselves and make Kiran look like a culprit is shocking. Faiqa’s statement “wo kiran thi tum arzoo ho, tum se aisa salook krne ke bare mei vo soch bhi nahi skta” showed that she has no fear of God, she is the one who really needs a reality check. The way Kiran was treated as a lesser human by all these women in particular right from the onset is simply loathsome.
Faiqa maybe blinded by her “obsession” (love would be the wrong word) with her nephew but Kamal tries his level best to save his daughter from a “violent and abusive” man. Even after everything that transpired Sikandar (according to Faiqa) is still the most sought after bachelor in the family. I found this part slightly difficult to believe because not very parent is as big a fool as Faiqa. Arzoo’s statement that Sikandar and her have a lot in common was actually very true; Arzoo is just as self centered as Sikandar, she wants to marry him whether he wants to or not. She loves Sikandar in the same manner in which he loved Kiran.
The conversation between Sikandar and his friend was splendidly written and executed with perfection. This was yet another one of those moments where the viewers realize that Sikandar is still trying to justify his actions; he still thinks that there is nothing wrong with a husband hitting his wife. Kiran was wise enough to break free from this abusive relationship before it completely annihilated her life and personality. Women who stay in such relationships for too long usually end up feeling worthless and I am not talking about women who are physically abused but also those who spend years with men who keep on belittling them.
Rukhsar’s track seems to be wrapping up; she is finally getting married which means that Adnan can also get married now. Adnan’s feelings for Kiran are so genuine, they really do come across as soul mates. Kiran may not look at Adnan or think of him in that way but he is the only one who she truly connects with. Rukhsar is such a negative person, there is nothing likeable about her character at all. No wonder life has been so unfair with her, if she wished well for others, she would have gotten the same in return. The dialogue “mere betay ke liye talak yafta lrki hi reh gaye thi” went to show that no matter how much Rukhsar’s mother may “feel” for Kiran, the fact of the matter is that she will never think of getting her married to her only son.
Kiran’s conversation with her mother in the end went to show that deep inside she was hoping that the divorce will affect Sikandar in some way. There is obviously no room for reconciliation now but it was normal for her to feel the way she did. The manner in which Ayesha finally applauds her daughter’s bravery was very touching. When Kiran was strong, she may not have supported her but now that she is more sensitive and vulnerable, her mother voices her true feelings. This scene was another skillfully written scene in tonight’s episode.
Sikandar and Arzoo finally get married in tonight’s episode and the beginning wasn’t exactly perfect! What is in store for Arzoo now? For how long will Faiqa cover for her nephew? Do Adnan and Kiran have a future together? I am waiting to find out!
I must applaud the wonderfully written dialogues and the perfect way in which this play has been directed. Umera Ahmed really is one of the best writers we have, I am more convinced of that now than ever. And I am very impressed with the way Aabiz raza has directed this serial.
Translation of interview of Deepak Parwani for Sunday Magazine of Daily Nawaiwaqt. The interview is conducted by Ms. Ambreen Fatima. Content and pictures courtesy of Daily Nawaiwaqt.
“Deepak Parwani” the name which needs no introduction, whatever he has done has proved his talent. Many big names of fashion are admirer of his work. He introduced new trends in Pakistani fashion. Famous models feel honored to showcase his dresses on ramp. This famous Pakistani designer has not only impressed fashion following audience abroad but also in Pakistan masses eagerly wait for new designs of Deepak with seasonal changes. Every time Deepak comes with new efforts. If we say the dresses of Deepak Parwani are life of a fashion show, it would not be an exaggeration. Apart from fashion designer he is a very good artist as well. Whenever he appeared on screen, people appreciated his appearance, beautiful voice, facial expression and lively acting. Currently his drama ‘Kadoorat’ is being telecasted. Story of this drama and Deepak role is gaining attention of audience. Deepak has also won Lux Style award and Indus Award. In recent days we have a special conversation with this talented fashion designer and artist, which is presented for the readers.
NW: Tell us about your family?
DP: We are three brothers, I am the eldest and my family belongs to Mirpur Khaas.
NW: How did you come towards fashion?
DP: I was always attracted towards fashion and my mother has helped me a lot in pursuing a career in fashion, because she herself likes to wear stylish and good dresses.
NW: What is fashion?
DP: Fashion is the name of a lifestyle and this lifestyle is a reflection of traditional dressing and taste of a country. The best quality of fashion is it adds freshness to your personality.
NW: How do you see future of Pakistani fashion industry?
DP: Future of Pakistani fashion industry will be bright as this industry is leaping forward without many resources. I think export and import play a vital role in progress of a country. That is why our work should be accessible to international level, so international buyers can visit our country.
NW: Some particular section in Pakistan considers wearing western dresses as fashion. What is your say on this?
DP: Western and Eastern fashion, these terminologies are only used in Pakistan. I don’t believe in it as Fashion is just Fashion.
NW: Whether events of Fashion Weeks are helpful to promote fashion industry?
DP: Events of fashion weeks is good news for Pakistani fashion industry. There were times when fashion and bridal weeks were not arranged in Pakistan. But now these events are an encouraging sign. New models, designers, makeup artists and photographers get a chance to display their talent due to these events. International buyers also come to these shows; they not only appreciate our work but also give orders. Important thing is that foreign journalist are astonished to see the work of Pakistani fashion and fashion designers, that Pakistani designers are capable enough to design such fashion. It can be justified if I say fashion shows are providing earnings to many persons.
NW: There is a impression that fashion shows promote western dresses?
DP: I disagree with this misconception as per me there is nothing like that. All types of fashion is showcased in these shows.
NW: Dresses of famous designers are out of the range of a commoner. What will you say on it?
DP: Every designer has its own class and they design for their class. I also design for my class. If a commoner cannot afford my dresses ranging in thousand, it doesn’t mean that my creations are not for him. So there is no need to create such impression that dresses of famous designers are out of ranger from a commoner. Everyone lives as per their budget.
NW: What are the similarities in fashion of India and Pakistan?
DP: Indian and Pakistani fashion is not much different. They prefer light colors. We prefer Shalwar and they prefer Choori Dar Pyjama. Rest is almost similar.
NW: What are the actions required from government for promotion of fashion industry?
DP: It’s a matter of vision and preference. I feel sorry that promotion of fashion industry is not a preference for government. Whereas textile and fashion industries have the potential that with minimal investment one can earn quite a lot and it can also provide jobs to many persons. If government includes promotion of this industry in its preference it can change the situation.
NW: How is the performance of new comers?
DP: New comers are performing very well and I am satisfied with their work to a point. Rest there is always a room for improvement.
NW: Who is the competitor for Deepak Parwani?
DP: Deepak Parwani is the biggest competitor of Deepak Parwani there is nobody else.
NW: How you come towards acting?
DP: When I feel bored with my routine work then I do acting. My first drama was at the age of 19 with Aneeta Ayoob. My work was appreciated in that drama. After that whenever I accept any offer for a good role.
NW: How many dramas so far?
DP: So far my four plays have been on-aired. Kadoorat the fifth one is currently telecasted. My role in it is of a father who is quite depressed on mental situation of her daughter.
NW: You also did telefilms?
DP: Yes so far I have worked in three telefilms.
Talented model Ayyan said, Deepak’s work cannot be praised in words. His contributions for Pakistani fashion industry cannot be denied. Deepak’s work is classic and is exemplary for new comers. I feel honor in wearing dresses in fashion shows designed by Deepak.
Model Emaad Irfani and Fahad Mustafa said, there is no praise for his abilities. There is no one like him in male dress designing. Deepak is designing unique dresses for past two decades. Every designer has his own style but there is no one like Deepak. He is not only a good and experienced fashion designer but an equally good human being.
Nadia Hussain said first photo shoot of my life was with Deepak. Deepak has always worked as per need of the hour and it is his biggest quality. I was in school when gowns designed by Deepak were quite famous. Girls love to wear Deepak’s gowns in gatherings. I also found interest in knowing more about Deepak and when I get a chance to do first shoot with him, I fully enjoyed it . Whether its western, male or bridal Deepak has designed everything very beautifully.

We are back with our analysis of the Top Pakistani Dramas of the Week. We saw some really surprising changes in the Top 15 list this week. Here is the list:
1) Aasmanon Pay Likha
2) Kankar
3) Adhoori Aurat
4) Aseer Zaadi
5) Mujhe Khuda Pe Yaqeen Hai
6) Aunn Zara
7) Mere Khuwaboon Ka Diya
8) Zindagi Hai Tu
9) Yeh Shaadi Nahi Hosakhti
10) Mann Ke Moti
11) Mere Humrahi
12) Saari Bhool Humari Thi
13) Matam
14) Kadurat
15) Kabhi Kabhi
Aasmanon Pay Likha has remained on the first position for the 3rd time in a row. I see the making of a hit show here! This show has definitely appealed to the masses and dominated the Wednesday prime slot.
Kankar and Adhoori Aurat have swapped places this week. The divorce twist in Kankar has made it more interesting and thus, it has acquired the 2nd place this week. Adhoori Aurat is not far behind in the 3rd position; the show is getting more gripping as it is nearing towards its climax.
Aseer Zadi has moved up the ladder from its 7th position to the 4th position. It is currently the most watched show in the Saturday prime slot leaving Numm way behind in the ratings. Shockingly, Numm did not even make it to the list of the Top 15 this week. Most probably due to its snail pace; this proves that a superb cast is not enough to make a show hit!
With the secret finally unfolding, Mujhe Khuda Pe Yaqeen Hai has gotten more interesting and has acquired the position in the top 5, despite the tough competition from Adhoori Aurat.
Mere Khuwabon Ka Diya has taken a huge leap from the 11th position to the 7th position. It has beaten Mere Humrahi and Halki Si Khalish who air in the same slot. Mere Humrahi has taken the 11th position in the ratings this week and the reason is obvious; the show is going to way too slow!
Meri Zindagi Hai Tu is finally attracting viewers; it has reached the 8th position from its 10th position last week. Despite cut throat competition from shows like Kankar and Kabhi Kabhi, the show is still gaining viewers.
Kadurat got a huge drop in its rating this week; it dropped from the 8th to the 14th spot. The reason might be that the story is getting too repetitive now. People have had enough of the revenge game and the content of this show can no longer be watched with one’s family.
Darmiyan did not make it to the list this week and the reason is the tough competition by shows like Kadurat and Aasmanon Pay Likha in the same slot. Mann Ke Moti is back in the Top 10 shows once again due to the new twist and turns seen in the show. This show has appealed to the masses from the start, but the ratings has dipped in the past few weeks.
Shows like Matam, Saari Bhool Humari Thi and Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakhti has made it to the list this time. Yeh Shaadi Nahi Hosakti will air its last episode this week and will hopefully receive a good response from its viewers for its last episode.
Kabhi Kabhi and Aunn Zara have seen a slight dip in the ratings. Kabhi Kabhi fell from the 14th position to the 15th position while Aunn Zara fell from the 5th to the 6th position this week. Rishtey Kuch Adhoorey se and Tar-e-Ankaboot have exited the list.
So what is your opinion about this week’s ratings?
That was one beautifully directed episode which conveyed the emotions right, every single time. I wish that the story would’ve moved forward & there was less emphasis on the depression everyone is going through. I know the pace is right & everything is perfect but still a little shift from sad times to the happy ones please!
I loved the conversations, everyone’s bigheartedness & acceptance to Aunn’s decision. Even when deep inside they wanted to stop Aunn from moving out of their blessed home, they have stopped themselves, not only themselves but others as well who wanted to burden both Aunn & Zara with the wrongness of the decision they’ve taken. Husna cries on her own, Daadi cries to the point where she is hurt so badly but still they maintain the dignity & show their caliber by quietly being submissive. It was heart-wrenching to see them so much used to the fact that Aunn was still there & called him whenever they felt like. Daadi wanted to ‘phookofy’ after she recited Holy Qur’an & Husna wanted to make sure Aunn eats a freshly cooked meal.
A few bits & bobs did show the progress in the story where everyone on their own took some steps. Shehna has backed out obviously because she is dreading the whole marriage thing in her life considering what her best friend has gone through. I still respect Manzar for staying quiet at first because he didn’t want to reveal the true face of Aunn in front of his prospect wife. He did act like a true friend even when he felt his dream wedding was falling apart but he chose to secure the dignity & respect of his best friend.
Nighat did her bit by visiting Jamshed which might open another way for them to speak to each-other but right now Nighat’s concern was about Zara’s decision which she found out was materialized on Jamshed’s wish. Another chapter of misunderstanding opened but I am sure Jamshed will do everything to take care of the things & especially to clear his name in front of ‘mohtarma’.
I must say that Aunn has crossed all the limits of selfishness. At first he wanted to snatch Zara away from the whole family because he thought he’d do everything to draw her closer to him but just after their first day in their personal space when Zara asked for a cup of tea, Aunn was disgusted but sadly he had no other option left then to tend to Zara because she ain’t well. I think what we predicted is wrong, she might not be expecting but may be due to mental pressures, tensions & no considerate diet she has gone weak. May be she doesn’t say but she is taking things too seriously & over-thinking the situations & for that she is facing a decline in her health.
Ohkay, who respects Manzar even more for all the reality checks he gave to Aunn? I DO. Not only he clarified Sheha’s misunderstandings but also checked Aunn’s shape left right & centre because he is just frustrated by the negativity Aunn has been upto lately as it has effected not only his family but now his friend in some way too. Just a few words from him & Aunn lost it completely because he is so used to the sugar coated, flowery words but all of a sudden when he was exposed to some thorns, he just couldn’t take it. Even though I know nothing can part these bro-like friends but it was only Manzar who could talk to him clearly to set his mind right.
It is sad to see that Aunn has become so selfish that he just can not tolerate anything going against his will & way. A guy who was showered with so much love could stoop to this level is quite frustrating to see. Even now he found it difficult to tend to Zara & that too in just a few hours he had a reality stroke that living away from his family is not going to be easy. Daadi’s conversation reflected how Aunn has taken every thing from his father which she just couldn’t believe herself.
Now I am kind of relieved that Zara will find out about Aunn soon enough & will make things right but I wish she regains her health & spark to tackle Aunn her way. One of the most beautiful scenes was when Husna reminisced of her conversation with Daadi after her husband left. It spoke volumes of what a sane & wise woman can do, how can a woman make or break her home & how many sacrifices one does to earn this level of respect which she has now in the eyes of Daadi & everyone else. What a beautifully etched character.
Loved the episode in bits & pieces but over all I am waiting for the revelations soon & dear Aunn please be ready to face the women avengers.
Reema does not usually get involved in fashion shows but recently she participated in a fashion week in Lahore show casing the designs of some prominent designers. One of Reema’s shoes’ heel broke while she was on the ramp, instead of getting confused Reema showed how confident she is by continuing the catwalk as if nothing had happened. Waving the shoe in the air was taking it too far though! This incident also makes one wonder how many times that particular pair of shoes must have been worn by different models already. And also how much fuss Reema made about it behind the stage afterwards;)
Do you like Reema’s confidence? Didn’t she handle the situation really well?
Islam is a beautiful religion where all the priority is given to the feel of humanity and the act of doing something for the welfare human in any way possible.
