Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 9 Story Review – Farhad’s Heroic Act

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat didn’t take the story forward but just a few situations were elaborated a bit more. The only development was how Farhad’s position was further strengthened in Kazim Shah’s Haveli & everyone around him was just as affected. I am glad the preview of the next episode seemed a lot more promising & dramatic, which will be interesting to see.

Farhad’s Heroic Act & Mahi’s Perplexity

Farhad has already impressed Nazim Shah & the rest of the people around him quite a lot but now the way he took the bullet to literally save Nazim Shah’s life, he earned a special place in everyone’s eyes. Farhad was already standing out for his obedience, his selflessness & his trait of touching everyone’s hearts but this one was a huge deal. I really think the director missed the golden opportunity of shooting a very dramatic action sequence, it not only would’ve broken the monotony of the happenings within Haveli but would’ve added a lot more impact. Considering there’s Feroze Khan playing the character of Farhad, this much action was definitely required. I do understand that shooting these kinds of scenes & sequences is not really easy but looking at how grand & magnanimous everything in Khuda Aur Mohabbat is, this scene definitely deserved to be shot. Just mere reactions of everyone & some of the verbal details of what happened & how Farhad heroically took the bullet, it kind of didn’t really add much depth into the situation. This was one such moment in the drama that should not have been left to the viewers’ imagination & despite the difficulties, they should have shot this particular scene to make it very dramatic & power-packed.

Everyone including Mahi was shaken by the news of Farhad getting shot, where some of them openly spoke about how they felt, there were others who silently said a prayer like Sajal & even Mahi. Dilawar understands that the time has come to return the favor & this is why he was right there for Farhad, telling him that he shouldn’t be too fearless for people who actually have done nothing for him. I like the equation Dilawar shares with Farhad, the story that Dilawar told about himself went to show that he actually has no reason to go back to his hometown, therefore he is continuing with this job but when it comes to Farhad, he feels he doesn’t belong here & this is why the things he is being put through are not what Farhad should experience & go through.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 9 Story Review - Farhad's Heroic Act

Mahi actually seems excited that she is getting married. Her concerns when she saw Taimoor’s picture were right & kind of cute because she felt she didn’t leave a good impression on Taimoor. In a literal sense, this happens to be a perfect match for Mahi & this is why her excitement seems justified. However, Iqra Aziz has done a commendable job in portraying Mahi’s perplexity & confusion because she hasn’t been able to get rid of the thoughts related to Farhad. Mahi has time & again stated how his presence is making her uncomfortable & more than that, she is fearful that he might tell someone especially her brother why he came all the way to Bhawalpur.

I am not really sure of what to think of Sahiba’s character though. As much as I like the fact that this character is played by Sunita Marshal, I feel the director failed to give her enough coverage to give viewers an insight into the kind of person she is. I also feel those important moments that would’ve helped the viewers understand her better were compromised, especially her conversations with Mahi regarding Farhad when they were in Lahore. In this episode, I found it rather odd how she was low-key advocating Farhad’s feelings in front of Mahi, despite knowing that Mahi was engaged to be married soon & that she was already having a hard time absorbing the fact that Farhad was in Bhawalpur, that too at her place, trying to make his way to her.

Sahiba is a supporting character but the kind of treatment she has gotten is even far less than Sajal. So far, not even a single scene has been shot to show the kind of relationship Nazim Shah & Sahiba share. I feel some of the very important scenes have been compromised & not shot which were important to add more depth or at least make sense of some of the characters which seemingly are important contributors to the story. Sahiba should’ve spoken about Farhad in the context of what he did for her husband, but rather she made it all about Mahi & furthered the idea that he was not only fearless, his love was far stronger than what they all had imagined!?! Considering she understands the kind of in-laws she has & the type of people they are, she should’ve been a lot more careful before speaking about Farhad in such a manner. It was literally like Sahiba was putting ideas into Mahi’s head & distracting her from being simply happy about the fact that she was about to get married to such a nice man!

Need More Insight Into The Characters

There is no denying the fact that Khuda Aur Mohabbat is one of the best dramas on air right now but there are a few things that do make you wonder how there is room for improvement & how things could’ve been told differently. I feel the to & fro between the characters has become a bit monotonous & because the pacing is on the slower side, as a viewer you are left to just being mesmerized with the beautiful locations, the gorgeous interiors & stunning camera work. The situations at times lack depth & it feels because the director was so focused on making everything look larger than life, the intricate details got lost in between. Even at this stage of the drama, I am not too sure how I feel about Mahi’s character, considering how she is the leading lady, there is still this kind of disconnect that I feel when it comes to her.

Iqra Aziz definitely has done her job well in portraying Mahi the best she could but I feel the director should’ve explored the layers of her character a bit more. The same goes for other supposedly important characters too such as Nazim Shah, Sahiba, Sikandar & even Taimoor. There is no denying the fact that Khuda Aur Mohabbat makes a very interesting watch but the depth is sort of missing because everything else is so grand that I miss the simplicity which certain situations & equations required. So far, I feel the only two characters I know & understand are of Dilawar & then Farhad, the rest are a work in progress, so let’s see what happens. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 8 Story Review – The Heartbreak

Ohkay so, this episode was dedicated to the clarity Farhad got from Mahi. This was nothing that he had expected or imagined in his wildest dreams but the sad part is, he not only was left heartbroken but Mahi rejected him in a way that insulted him, his feelings, his emotions & most importantly, the purity of his intentions. Feroze Khan has been carrying this drama on his shoulders & in such limited scenes, he succeeded in expressing the heartbreak that Farhad was going through, which was unbearable for him.

Farhad’s Heartbreak & The Proposal

Farhad & Mahi had a conversation that later turned out to be a confrontation. Farhad thought this was it, he got a chance to get the clarity he was after & this was that moment where he will get to tell Mahi what she means to him. More than that, Farhad expected to get the answer that he wished for, but the reality was different from what he had imagined. Mahi came clear & she knew there was nothing of such sort that even crossed her mind. In Farhad’s case, Mahi came across as a rich spoiled brat who actually thought that things rolled as per her likes because she too never imagined that her candidness with a guy like Farhad could become something this big for him. In other words, it seems Mahi in the true sense was enjoying the ‘freedom’ she fails to enjoy in Bhawalpur, that is why from her dressing to makeup & overall demeanor, she was just acting like a free bird without thinking much about the consequences, which also included befriending someone just so casually because she knew the moment she will go back to Bhawalpur, her life will become one-dimensional without much spark in it!

That particular scene was acted out brilliantly by both Feroze Khan & Iqra Aziz. That conversation showed two different perspectives of two people regarding a situation they both were involved in. For Farhad, it was everything & for Mahi it was nothing. Farhad took it to his heart & for Mahi, it never made it to her heart once. Although Mahi seemed sorted but in his own approach, Farhad was sorted too. He knew he was not afraid of anything, this is exactly why Mahi’s threats didn’t make much of a difference to him. Farhad has found yet another clarity now, he knows Mahi doesn’t love him but that doesn’t mean he can just go back defeated. He chooses to stay there & prove his love to her & that’s all there is to it for him right now. He has become independent of what Mahi feels but this doesn’t mean he is going to set himself free from the love he has for her.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 8 Story Review - The Heartbreak

Mahi was quite disturbed, not because she saw the intensity of Farhad’s emotions but because for her, this entire scenario was nothing short of a nuisance. She felt burdened because Farhad was expecting more out of this relationship than what Mahi could or had to offer. I find it kind of misleading that Mahi’s sister-in-law continues to say that she warned Mahi of not mingling with Farhad too much, whereas such an important conversation was never shown when they both were in Lahore. It was as if Mahi’s sister-in-law was just as much engulfed in the wedding festivities that she wasn’t even bothered about what Mahi was up to. Yes, it is Fakira who can claim that because not once she faltered from her responsibility & kept an eye on Mahi like a hawk, which was again a nuisance for Mahi.

Taimoor’s family finally met Mahi’s family & things went pretty smooth. The scenes covering the preparations were done nicely, it was like as a viewer I could also feel the excitement Taimoor’s mother felt because this was something she was waiting for so long. For the first time, we found out that Sikandar’s wife has passed away & he fails to move on in his life. He has resorted to getting involved in the family business & political affairs, which work like a catharsis for him. At this point, I like their mother’s character because she is a doting mother who wants to see her sons happy.

I am not sure that the few concerns that Mahi raises about marriage & proposal etc make much sense or not. I mean she comes from a very conservative family & very well understands how things in her family work, therefore the writer has tried to add a bit of depth in her character by showing that she does know how to raise questions but it kind of doesn’t really make much of an impact. I feel the writer as well as the director haven’t been able to establish Mahi’s personality the way it should’ve been. When it comes to Farhad, I know quite a lot about him but when it comes to Mahi, her character hasn’t been etched out the way it should’ve been. The leading female character of Imaan in the previous Khuda Aur Mohabbat worked with the limited coverage she got because it was established right from the beginning that she very well understood her family values & knew her limitations, therefore there wasn’t much confusion about Imaan but when it comes to Mahi, she has been giving all kinds of mixed & missed signals, which definitely doesn’t help in making a connection with her character. Yes, it is understandable that the story of Khuda Aur Mohabbat revolves around Farhad & will continue to be that way but considering how so much thought & effort has been put into making everything about this project so grand & elaborate, I feel a lot more attention should’ve been given to the leading lady as well.

The parda element once again went unexplained in this episode. At one point we see that when Mahi comes out of her room to go to the main entrance of her own house, the curtains are draped around the house & everyone is warned to lower their gaze, but just when Mahi’s mother & sister in law were receiving Taimoor’s mother, they stood at the entrance of their home without any parda & I could see all the drivers of their cars int he close proximity too. I have said this before & I will say that again, if they had omitted this entire concept of parda from this series, it wouldn’t have made much of a difference because the way they are trying to add it in the story seems a bit too forced & stretched. The elements like that of the train station, parda & the guy’s longing for his lady love are what are the defining factors of Khuda Aur Mohabbat, so I do understand that the writer wanted to bring in that charm too but the director has kind of failed to do complete justice to it. Also, I speak about this issue so keenly because, in the previous seasons, the parda of Imaan was established so effortlessly that it was just a part of her personality & everyone including Hammad knew about it but here be it about Mahi or the rest of the female members of the family, it just is not working. It would’ve been totally perfect if they had stuck to plain dupattas & shawls & the fact that male employees & servants don’t go towards the main section of the house – it would’ve been enough!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 8 Story Review - The Heartbreak

So, Mahi seemed kind of happy & excited about this proposal. Iqra Aziz gave a very subtle expression when Taimoor’s mother asks Mahi if she is ready to get married, it was really nice. This is exactly why I find her character confusing because in the previous episode she mentioned she was unable to feel any excitement because of Farhad, then she was questioning her mother & now she was more than ready to get married. Anyways, this episode was mostly about the proposal & the heartbreak. Farhad is suffering & out there, it is only his mother who is also feeling her son’s pain. It was another sweet moment where his father felt relieved that Farhad was now bearing the financial responsibility of the family. It showed that on the surface, everyone thinks everything is right but deep down only Farhad knows what he is going through. Dilawar & Farhad’s handshake also promised a very strong friendship. I am sure it will be Dilawar who will stand by Farhad because he too has been through a terrible heartbreak so he will relate to Farhad a lot more.

Interesting Precap

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat was really nice but I am more excited to see the next episode because that will define what Farhad to Mahi, especially when she will find out that he got shot while saving Nazim Shah. Sunita Marshal & Iqra Aziz look stunning in this drama. Hina Bayat was a vision to behold especially in the white ensemble during the proposal scene, her jewelry pieces, her shawl, her overall personality; everything about her was just perfect. Feroze Khan was yet again the star of this episode, although his scenes were quite limited he succeeded in showing the emotional turmoil Farhad was faced with. Feroze Khan should be extremely proud of himself for doing justice to this character. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 7 Story Review – Farhad Is Special

Ohkay so, it was an interesting episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat. Although nothing much happened in this particular episode but the entire focus was mostly on how Farhad was different from the rest of the people working in the Haveli & what other’s perception of him was. Throughout the episode, I really enjoyed watching how subtly they kept on elaborating that Farhad was better than everyone else & that people around him felt that too.

Farhad Has Impressed Everyone Around Him

Farhad has this aura, this personality to him that as the days are passing by, people around are finding him special. They are realizing that he is not really cut out for this environment, this job & this slavery that servants of the Haveli usually deem as their fate. I must say, I am enjoying the bonding of Farhad & Dilawar. Dilawar has been through all that Farhad is experiencing, therefore there are high chances that once he will figure out the actual reason behind Farhad’s arrival to Bhawalpur, he will eventually stand by him. Dilawar actually has grown fond of Farhad & he genuinely respects him. In such a short span of time, everyone that has interacted with Farhad has found something attractive about him, be it Noora, be it Dilawar, be it Sajal & even Fakira.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 7 Story Review - Farhad Is Special

I am glad that Fakira is turning out to be more loyal to Mahi than anyone else, this is exactly why she felt she needed to speak to Farhad. It is also interesting to note how nothing in this Haveli goes unnoticed. It didn’t take much longer for Dilawar to ponder upon why Fakira met Farhad & why Farhad had to come up with an excuse of such sort because Dilawar actually realized that Farhad was keeping something from him. The introduction that Dilawar has gotten so far makes him quite an interesting character & I won’t be surprised if he turns out to be one of the most important people in Farhad’s life at this stage, especially by lending him emotional & moral support.

Mahi’s entire family was quite happy & satisfied to have received Taimoor’s proposal for her. In this entire scenario, there is absolutely nothing that can go wrong, the social & financial status of both the families match, they both are quite influential & Taimoor is an eligible bachelor. When I heard Mahi say that she actually wanted to feel the excitement about the proposal gave me an insight into her character a lot more. I had judged Mahi’s approach towards her friendship with Farhad accurately that for her it just meant nothing & this is exactly why it just did not even cross her mind once that for Farhad, it could be something special. All this while, Mahi as well as her sister in law were trying to figure out the reason why Farhad had taken such a huge risk of coming to her place & not wanting to go back but Fakira understood it really well, this is why she didn’t take waste any time before telling him that he should just leave.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 7 Story Review - Farhad Is Special

Naheed’s scenes are becoming quite repetitive & they are actually not adding much to the story. It has already been established that she likes Farhad & he doesn’t & that’s all there’s to it. To be honest, at this stage I am not even interested to hear Naheed out because she had nothing new to say. Sajal is another candidate who is trying to find the reason to interact with Farhad. A few of Nazim Shah’s expressions also showed that he was quite impressed by Farhad. There is something about him that Nazim has picked up, therefore he wants to have Farhad around because he wants to see what is it about him that sets him apart. I must say Sohail Sameer has breathed life into this character because although there is nothing about Nazim Shah that would make him an ideal character but the kind of acting he has done & the treatment that he has given to it with just his minute expressions speaking volumes of what he is thinking about, that makes it quite interesting to see his scenes.

Superb Performances

Iqra Aziz has looked simply stunning in Khuda Aur Mohabbat. Her wardrobe, to her hairstyles, to her jewelry pieces & her makeup, everything about her is just simply perfect, exactly how a beautiful heroine of a beautiful love story should be. Feroze Khan has been super impressive as Farhad, his expressions are just perfect & it shows that he has put in a lot of effort into making sure that Farhad comes across as how the writer has perceived him as & how the audience want to see him too. Saqib Sameer is definitely standing out as Dilawar as well. Sunita Marshal & Sohail Sameer too have been performing brilliantly. Sunita Marshal is looking gorgeous & is it so nice to see her back in dramas, she should definitely be seen more often.

The episode definitely ended with a cliffhanger & the preview of the next episode showed that this particular interaction is going to change something in Mahi where she won’t be able to overlook Farhad’s feelings for her. I liked how casually Farhad spoke once they were in the car because for her, she was still the same person he had met in Lahore & although he was observing the kind of special treatment she gets at her place, it just did not change anything for Farhad because for him, she was just the same girl who he fell madly in love with. The next episode is definitely going to be quite interesting & I can’t wait to see that. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 6 Story Review – Farhad’s Realizations

Ohkay so, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this particular episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat. The previous couple of episodes were definitely a bit slow but now it seems that the story is unraveling & things are slowly getting quite intense. What I enjoyed the most throughout this episode was how every step of the way, Farhad was being introduced to the set of challenges that lie ahead of him & also because his intention is pure & spirits are high, he got a chance to be around Mahi which definitely was not an easy feat.

Farhad Learned More About Mahi’s Family

First & foremost, I must commend the director for creating a cinematic experience of this sort & making Khuda Aur Mohabbat a visual treat. Watching this drama is like watching a movie & it definitely helps in transporting you to the world of Khuda Aur Mohabbat; to the world of Farhad. Feroze Khan definitely has been the star of the show & the way he is carrying out this character with utmost dedication goes to show that he just didn’t perform Farhad, he actually embraced it so that there was no room for error. I will be honest, initially, when I heard that Imran Abbas was not going to be a part of Khuda Aur Mohabbat, I was skeptical but at this stage of the drama, it has been made clear that Hammad was made for Imran Abbas & Farhad has been made for Feroze Khan.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the conversations Farhad had with different people. These conversations played a huge part in getting Farhad familiar with how things work in Mahi’s family. She just did not belong to a normal background, her family had years & years of history & influence. Dilawar (Saqib Sumeer) made it easy for Farhad to understand why this entire family was the way it was because they were chasing after the power & had no intentions of giving up on it. It was interesting to note that Kazim Shah may have mellowed down but it is only because he knows for a fact that now Nazim is filling up his shoes & is taking care of everything – for them the political & religious influence their family has on people around them is what matters the most & they would do what it takes to maintain that.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 6 Story Review - Farhad's Realizations

I do have a feeling that Dilawar may become Farhad’s confidant & will end up supporting him. It is kind of endearing to see Farhad being around a few nice & genuine people. It is like the writer has created a perfect balance that he has his set of challenges but in the end, he won’t be left alone because Farhad is going to touch so many lives that they would want to do something for him in return too. These little nuances suggesting how caring Farhad is are definitely helping in making a connection with his character. He could’ve kept himself indifferent but instead, he decided to help Dilawar & make him feel at ease understanding that he was in a lot of pain.

Sajal’s (Sharmeen Khan) interactions with Farhad were nice too. I can totally see a new love triangle in the making. We already have Naheed & now with Sajal in the picture, we can only wait to see how many more girls are going to fall for Farhad. Sajal already has a soft corner for him & Naheed too is having a hard time thinking about Farhad, how far away he is & that she is unable to see him.

The initial days in Kazim Shah’s place have been a learning curve for Farhad. The more time he spends with his people, the more he realizes that getting to Mahi or winning her won’t be easy. I also felt that because Farhad has always liked challenges, the more he was learning about the dynamic here, he was kind of enjoying it. Eventually, all of this will become an adventure for him & he will definitely outdo himself in his quest of winning his love.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 6 Story Review - Farhad's Realizations

Lack of Clarity About Mahi’s Parda/Hijab

At this stage of the drama, I am not too sure of how to take Mahi’s character. She really hasn’t impressed me much so far & I am hoping for that to change. Also, I am not too sure how to take the entire ‘parda’ aspect of her life. There was a lot of emphasis on ‘parda’ & how the ladies of the house are protected & secured from random interactions with strangers, especially men. Considering this was the kind of life Mahi has lived all her life, I am now unable to wrap my head around her antics when she was in Lahore attending Rida’s marriage. Though this only seems to be a ‘family tradition’ & a protocol that ladies have to follow somehow, it should’ve come naturally to her as well, more like a habitual sort of thing. In Lahore, she was a completely different person where she was dressed to the nines & did not have any hesitation or hard time being friends with a totally random stranger Farhad. She even befriended him & seemed pretty comfortable around him, as if this wasn’t an alien concept to her. Also, as seen in the university, she wasn’t observing Hijab so it kind of makes it awkward that she or her family observes Hijab only in front of the house-help & not outside the vicinity of their home?

In previous stories, the Hijab of Iman was a part of her personality & it went well considering she was a daughter of Imam e Masjid. In this season, I find this parda aspect quite forced & just a very hard attempt of bringing in those elements of Khuda Aur Mohabbat that were actually loved by the audience. In the previous seasons, what made the love story of Hammad & Imaan special was that he never really got to see her properly until she met him to tell him to give up on his dream of being with her. I don’t really think this parda aspect is doing anything special for Mahi’s character because it seems like she personally & wholeheartedly doesn’t really observe it. What’s interesting is that despite knowing the strict & conversative rules, Mahi’s sister-in-law also did not really observe any such thing in Lahore. It seemed that the two came from a regular family that wasn’t really so keen on guarding their women so much – not even from the house-help as it was implied in this episode.

So, not only Fakira but Mahi also realized that Farhad was very much there, he has come for Mahi & there’s no doubt about that. Mahi’s sister-in-law also seemed concerned & the preview of the next episode actually had got me looking forward to it because things are definitely going to get a lot more interesting. The smile on Farhad’s face when he was in the car with Mahi was really special. I must say Iqra Aziz’s expressions during that scene were beyond impressive because her face was covered but just through her eyes she portrayed Mahi’s confusion & disbelief. Farhad is definitely going to stay & now he has slowly started to work on making his position stronger in the family.

It Is Going To Get Intense

I am definitely looking forward to the next episode. I feel Nisar will come to Bhawalpur & hear Mahi out. I must add all the ladies look stunning in this drama. Sohail Sameer as Nazim Shah is quite impressive too. I must add, Saqib Sumeer is a very powerful performer. The only scene he had in this episode was just so impactful, I thoroughly enjoyed learning what Dilawar was teaching to Farhad about the family. Feroze Khan is the star of the show for sure. Iqra Aziz is playing her part well but I feel Mahi’s character has yet to evolve & give a chance for the audience to connect with her. The supporting cast is doing a great job & it is nice to see so many new characters getting introduced with each passing episode. It keeps things engaging & interesting for sure. High points to the director for making this drama such a visual treat. I am also enjoying how the emotions are being portrayed throughout the episodes – another beautiful scene was between Farhad’s parents, only a mother knows how she feels when her child is not around. All her concerns & worries were heart-warming. Asma Abbas was phenomenal in that scene. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 5 Story Review – Farhad’s New Journey

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat covered the life-changing decision that Farhad took for himself. The entire episode revolved around Farhad & how everyone around him reacted to his plans. I loved the way the director made the most of everyone’s emotions because it added a lot of depth to every single scene. I am glad that with each passing episode, more & more characters are getting introduced & each one has so much screen presence that as a viewer, I can not wait to see what they have to offer. I must say the casting so far is impressive & more than that, each & every actor is doing complete justice to the characters that have been assigned to them.

Farhad’s Departure

I must say, Feroze Khan has really been carrying the drama on his shoulders for now. Throughout this entire episode, I couldn’t help but notice Farhad’s body language, which is also a reflection of his immaturity & his lack of wisdom about life in general. Farhad has always been a trouble-maker, he has never really understood the purpose of his life & this is exactly what shows in how he sees things as of now. For Farhad, everything is just too simple & he doesn’t really understand the intricacies of life. This is exactly what has driven him to this point where he thinks he has to confess to Mahi to take this relationship one step ahead. Farhad definitely has no idea what he is going to get into or what life has in store for him.

Initially, things became a bit too easy & promising for Farhad because Nisar decided to help him. Farhad was obviously heart-broken that Mahi had left suddenly & this is exactly what made him impatient too. All this while, Nisar has grown fond of Farhad & he is ready to help him achieve his goals. Nisar does not really have an idea of what Farhad is going to do but just because he also knows that Rida has a special bond with him, he feels obliged to help Farhad.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 5 Story Review - Farhad's New Journey

The departure scene of Farhad was nicely done. It showed no matter what, for a mother, her child is always very special, for a sister her brother is a companion & for a father, a son should have some sort of perspective, a clarity that is going to help him in his life. In this entire scenario, Farhad’s father was being practical, because as much as he did understand what his wife was going through, he knew how important it was for Farhad to be on his own & have aspirations that are going to shape his future. Little does his father know what Farhad is going to get into.

So, Farhad came to Bhawalpur & got a glimpse of what Mahi’s family & her household was like. I must say Usman Peerzada’s screen presence was so strong & his performance was beyond impressive. In such a short scene, he let the audience know who Kazim Shah was. After this brief introduction, I am interested to find out more about him. Farhad will definitely realize that not everyone is as easy-going, warm & welcoming as Nisar. Kazim Shah (Usman Peerzada) won’t have an issue giving Farhad shelter in his house but he also wouldn’t let him cross the line based on the impression that Farhad will create. Noora (Malik Raza) is definitely going to play an important role in Farhad’s life in Bhawalpur but first & foremost, he is always going to be loyal to Kazim Shah’s family. I really liked the way Farhad was learning more & more about Mahi’s family & life. This was something he had never imagined in his wildest dreams & now all of this was his reality. Farhad’s first interaction with Chotay Shah Sahab (Sohail Sameer) was also quite interesting. This was another incident that gave Farhad an insight into Mahi’s family. I am also quite interested to see the character that Saqib Sameer is going to play, especially after his impressive performance in Raqeeb Se, I can’t wait to see his contribution in Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 5 Story Review - Farhad's New Journey

So far, I really haven’t been able to make up my mind about the track of Taimoor’s mother & Baba jee. I do understand that she is searching for answers regarding her sons’ lives but I wish this entire track unfolds in an interesting manner where it has something more to offer than just a few superstitions & what-ifs. Those scenes do bring a lot of visual charm to the drama but I really hope there is more to it because so far, it doesn’t really interest me much.

Brilliant Acting

So far, the drama has been in the initial stages but now I really think the story has kickstarted & things are going to get quite interesting. Farhad’s journey has actually begun & the more he will think he is getting closer to his goal, the more he will realize how far he actually is & how hard things are going to be. Mahi definitely belongs to an affluent family, therefore for a guy like Farhad who really hasn’t achieved anything in his life, it is quite rich for him to think he stands a chance with Mahi. I really like how Feroze Khan has played the character of Farhad so far, he really has made this entire character believable. His emotions, his dreams, his strong feeling of love for Mahi, while making it clear how he sees things & assumes it is going to be simple. Asma Abbas & Hira Soomro’s acting in the departure scene was really nice. Momina Iqbal has acted her part really well too. I am glad that more characters are entering in the story & I can see that things are about to get quite interesting so definitely looking forward to it. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 4 Story Review – Farhad’s Perplexity

Ohkay so, I am glad that in this episode, the grand wedding was finally wrapped up, which means the story will move forward & the focus will be shifted on the lead characters. Although Farhad & Mahi definitely were running the show but the wedding was definitely the focal point right from the beginning. I am not too sure how I should feel about the pace of the drama because so far it seems quite slow & not a lot is being given away about the characters. It feels like even after the 4th episode, the characters are still being introduced.

Farhad Getting The Limelight

One of the best moments of this episode was the conversation between Rida & Farhad. It was nice to see Rida in a different light where she showed her emotions & spoke about how she always longed for a brother. Although it did look a little sudden but better late than never. I wish the scene had started on a positive note because to see Rida screaming at Fakira was off-putting. This is what I have felt about Mahi too when she literally talks down with Fakira, without even paying heed to the fact that she is older than her & only on that basis deserves some respect. It was interesting to note that a situation that could have gone wrong turned out to be so positive because even Nisar got to know what his daughter was feeling.

Mahi & Farhad continued to be around each other with Farhad thinking about her & Mahi being totally engulfed in Rida’s wedding & everything related to it. Farhad’s feelings at this stage make him look a little immature where just because Mahi decided to befriend him, he thought there was or there could be more to it. Mahi has never given him mixed signals & for him, he was just a friend. I also feel the little introduction that Mahi’s family got was about how she belonged to a conservative & orthodox family, therefore for her to be so casual while dealing with a complete stranger during Rida’s wedding can be a little odd. I feel at this stage the viewers should definitely get a lot more insight into the characters to actually understand what their mindset & thought processes are.

Naheed is definitely not coping well with the idea that she saw Farhad with some girls. His changed behavior on top of it is also making her nervous to the point that she is looking for a lot more clarity but instead is not getting what she wants. Farhad is pre-occupied & she is trying to figure out one chance to have a conversation with him. In this episode it seemed Farhad’s sister picked up on what Naheed was up to, this is why she even smiled when she thought of the two together.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 4 Story Review - Farhad's Perplexity

Nisar definitely has a soft corner for Farhad. He was quite impressed with his honesty & work ethic but after hearing the conversation he & Rida had, Nisar obviously has started seeing Farhad as his son. This equation definitely is nice because it is going to contribute in the later stages of the story with Rida & even Nisar being on Farhad’s side when he’ll be needing it the most.

Sikandar has lost his wife & he is a father of two kids. Their family also needs some more introduction. So far it is mostly about their mother wanting her sons to get married. As much as I like Hina Bayat’s take on Siraiki accent, I feel her sons should’ve also put in some effort because when she is the only one speaking such heavily accented Urdu, the scene loses an impact when the characters around her do not speak the way she does. It would’ve made them all coherent as a family which I feel would’ve definitely made an impact.

So far, this has been established that this season of Khuda Aur Mohabbat is going to be very different but the only thing I wish was that the characters & their personalities, their emotions were elaborated a bit better because it seems the focus on making it larger-than-life was so much that somehow it didn’t really give me much to connect with the characters as such. At this stage, it just seems I am watching a story of some of the characters without knowing much about them & when it comes to Hashim Nadeem’s dramas, he always makes sure that all of his characters stand out right from the beginning. I can only hope that I get to know the characters better in the episodes to come.

The Journey’s About To Begin

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat was definitely good, it does qualify to be a good entertainer but I am definitely looking for that essence, that depth which Khuda Aur Mohabbat series has been known for. Feroze Khan as Farhad is definitely impressive & Iqra Aziz is doing the best she can as Mahi but I wish there is more to her than just a loud, boisterous girl who is a bit too carefree. The last interaction of Mahi & Farhad was unexpected. Mahi didn’t think before mistaking Farhad’s intentions. It just goes to show that she never really saw him as someone she’d hold a high opinion of. For her, he was just a random guy she met therefore when she felt uncomfortable, she let him know & didn’t give much thought to it. Farhad on the other hand seemed rattled because he never expected that Mahi would misjudge him, or she actually could do such a thing. This entire misunderstanding was nicely done because it showed how both Farhad & Mahi had different mindsets & how they both perceived the equation they have shared over the last few days.

The preview showed that Farhad is seriously going to pursue this & with this, I really hope his journey kickstarts where he will be met with different obstacles. The first one which he failed to understand was where Mahi just walked over him & didn’t even give him a chance to explain himself. Anyhow, with so many people at the Qawwali night, I expected to see more at Mehndi & Barat functions but it ended up looking like an intimate ceremony being attended by close family & friends. Once again, I live for the aerial shots that they show throughout the episodes, those are definitely my favorite. I am also hoping to see the essence of different cities being brought to life on my TV screen in the episodes to come, let’s see if that happens. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 38 Story Review – Flashback Galore

Ohkay so, in the middle of flashbacks, non-stop annoying Alaaps of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan & repetitive scenes, all that I could gather while watching this episode was how Farhad’s health was deteriorating. It is sad to say that this drama has reached such a stage where none of it makes any sense anymore. If we try to find logic in Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, we’ll be left empty-handed, therefore it’s best to just take it as it comes. However, given the kind of sensibilities all the viewers have, it is natural for anyone to find it hard to curb the urge of finding common sense while watching this drama too.

Flashback Galore

Farhad is revered by so many people & the two who have recently become his followers are Jageerdarni Jee & Sikandar, therefore I found it absolutely ridiculous that no one was there to prevent Farhad from leaving the hospital. He had good medical assistance at his disposal, but still, he chose to leave it & go to the Mazaar in order to suffer more? It just does not make sense. While watching his health deteriorate, instead of feeling sad or bad for him, all I saw was how this was nothing but a self-inflicted misery.

It was absolutely baseless that while the policeman was recording Farhad’s statement, Dilawar was standing right there as if he didn’t do anything. Although he did say that he wanted to confess but then again, why was he so comfortable when the policeman was around. Also, it seems Noora was always quite vigilant, therefore he is nowhere to be seen now. Farhad obviously did not have that much of security, so for him to approach Dilawar after he got caught wasn’t such a big deal. This entire aspect has been tackled so poorly that it once again proves how the focus of the director was just on the execution & not much on whether things were realistic or not!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 38 Story Review - Flashback Galore

Jageerdarni Jee’s plea forced Mahi’s mother to think things through but I wish there was more to her instead of wailing over flashbacks. This was one such episode where I actually found it hard to concentrate while watching, therefore seeing the number of flashbacks, I knew getting a glimpse or two every now & then was enough. Also, all thanks to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s shrill alaaps, the fraction of times when I did feel like paying attention, his screams snatched it away!

All the happenings since the last 4 – 5 episodes were enough to be decently covered rather wrapped in 2 episodes, but they chose to drag it only to reach the 40th episode mark. It is unfortunate that as much as I would’ve liked to, I just couldn’t enjoy the philosophical conversations of Dervish & Farhad in this episode & also the ones that have been happening for a few weeks. Those would’ve been intense & profound moments of each episode but sadly the essence is lost amidst unnecessary dragging, loud background music & the slow pace!

Sigh!

The preview of the next episode clearly showed that Mahi too isn’t going to survive. Farhad is bound to lose his life but Mahi will also die. Mahi’s father would never agree to Mahi’s marriage to Farhad. While watching this episode, I once again thought to myself what was so special about Farhad that everyone was ready to put everything at stake for him? I feel even when at this stage of a drama a viewer feels this way, it clearly goes to show the lack of depth, soul & essence in a lead character. Farhad’s journey has not touched me one bit & I have also stopped feeling any kind of sympathy for Mahi as well. Here’s to hoping that this drama comes to an end soon. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. Also, don’t forget to share random observations – mine was Dilawar’s rings, us ne apne se ziyada bhari rings pehni hui thin. The biggest advocate of Mahi’s love for Farhad – Miss Sahiba has gone mute after getting slapped by her husband? The most useless shot of this episode was seeing Mahi run for 3 seconds in slow-mo, all decked up & dressed to the nines? What for? No one knows except the director. Also yes, Romana was informed about Farhad’s condition but why didn’t anyone bother to contact Farhad’s family? Farhad ko khud bhi abhi tak apni ma ki yaad nahi ai. & oh yes, this makes me think Romana is still relevant, lol!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 37 Story Review – The Attack

Ohkay so, this was yet another slow episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. It is unfortunate that for a story as typical as this one, the drama makers decided to drag it to so much to turn it into an approximately 40 episode drama. The story has not moved an inch for so long & what’s more frustrating is how in every single episode for the last few weeks, they only have a couple of new scenes, the rest of them are just flashbacks or events & happenings that do not add much to the story. I really think they shouldn’t have labeled it as the third season of Khuda Aur Mohabbat because the title itself skyrocketed the expectations & there are no qualms in saying that this one doesn’t only not meet the expectations but falls short of it completely!

Dilawar & Farhad’s Meeting

This episode had only one major development which was Dilawar’s attack on Farhad & everything that happened after was the least bit interesting or engaging to hold my interest in the episode. Dilawar obviously found out about Farhad & it wouldn’t have taken him much to figure out what was the reason behind the orders that were given to him by Nazim Shah. Farhad also knew why Dilawar did what he did, his expressions said it all. It was as if it did not come as a surprise to Farhad because this is exactly what he expected from Nazim, especially after all the threats he gave to him a few days ago.

It seems Jageerdarni has adopted Farhad & she was taking her role as his mother quite seriously. I still fail to understand why & what is it in Farhad’s character that everyone puts everything aside & glorifies Farhad as if he is someone special. I do acknowledge that this has been Hashim Nadeem’s pattern in most of his dramas, everyone couldn’t stop talking about Musa in Raqs e Bismil, everyone in Parizaad is touched by him, but the difference is, both Musa & Parizaad had it in them for people to be touched by their presence or feel inclined towards them. Sadly, this is absolutely not the case with Farhad, or even if Hashim Nadeem intended it that way, the director has failed to translate it on-screen. There has been so much focus on what others think of Farhad & how they can not help being his fans but sadly, they forgot to work on Farhad’s character or his growth which actually would’ve made all these feelings of supporting characters justified.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 37 Story Review - The Attack

The rest of the episode covered everyone’s reactions with Sikandar taking care of hospital expenses & blood donations. Kazim Shah was now introspecting which again seemed out of the blue, but I still like that they have shown a father having a soft spot for his daughter. It is refreshing to see that a father like Kazim Shah is still in touch with his emotions especially in matters concerning his daughter. I really wish to see him having a conversation on these lines with at least someone; acknowledging the fact that the loss of Taimoor was so traumatic for Mahi that he doesn’t wish to put her through more misery!

Random Observations

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was actually quite slow. It also gave me a chance to make random observations – I liked the color-coordinated outfits of Kazim Shah & Peerni Jee. I also wonder how awkward it must’ve been for Iqra Aziz to lay flat on the stairs that too upside down. Dilawar did not change his clothes all these months – if he had silently passed by Farhad, I guess that would’ve been enough to kill him – no stabbing needed. Also, they showed random people grabbing Dilawar, when I saw him standing in the hospital in one piece I wondered why didn’t those people make a kachoomar out of him – especially after witnessing what he had done. Sahiba looked awkward with a dupatta draped partially around her bun – that’s just not her style. I wonder what Naheed, Sajal & all those girls doing who had dedicated their entire lives to Farhad. Also yes, all this while every time W&D Dervish appeared in Farhad’s hallucination, he seemed normal but this time around he came with a stark white light shining through his turban – wonder what does it indicate? He is no more & ready to welcome Farhad to the afterlife? Since the drama has become so boring, I would like to know what you guys think about or random things that you notice while watching the episodes Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3? Please do share with me.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 36 Story Review – Sikandar’s Decision

Ohkay so, this was yet another slowest episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. Although I know that the next episode might cover the biggest tragedy for those who have loved Farhad’s character, I was honestly more excited seeing the promo because it promised some drama & probably the wrapping up of the story. This drama has been stretched beyond the point now & it is still unfortunate that the characters still seem so superficial, lacking any depth or dimension that would’ve made them relatable.

Sikandar & Jageerdarni’s Decisions

In this episode, the only good thing was Sikandar & Romana’s reunion. Jageerdarni was not only touched by the love Farhad has for Mahi, but she was also quite impressed with the kind of love Romana had for Sikandar. More than that, Jageerdarni appreciated the way Romana changed her perspective towards Mahi & Farhad’s relationship, therefore she gets all the credit for it.

I must say Sikandar ended up looking like a chicken when right in front of him, Nazim insulted his mother & he chose to stay quiet? Sikandar should’ve known that it was Mahi’s family who needed his support in the elections, therefore they were indebted to him & he didn’t owe them anything. The least he could’ve done is told Nazim off for his rude behavior with Jageerdarni, but instead, he chose to seek their forgiveness for refusing to get married to Mahi. That entire scene didn’t have to be so mellow because this was the only chance Sikandar got to show his real human emotions of anger, agitation & irritation. It would’ve made a lot more sense if Sikandar had let Nazim know that while respecting Mahi’s feelings for Farhad, his poor behavior was another reason why he was backing off this proposal. It would’ve served as an eye-opener for Nazim at least?

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 36 Story Review - Sikandar's Decision

Jageerdarni & Farhad’s interaction was nice but it was so slow to the point that I actually didn’t have the attention span left for it. Farhad should be happy that he has yet another member who has joined his fandom, without him doing anything. Although it is obvious that Farhad is not going to survive, I really find the entire scenario of Nazim ordering for his killing convincing. To date, no one knew who Farhad was or what he wanted ever since he left Mahi’s haveli. It was only because of Nazim’s itch that he ended up discovering about it, so for him to be so convinced about ending Farhad’s life is uncalled for. I am not a fan of Farhad’s character, but for him to get killed only because a goon like Nazim wants it doesn’t sit well with me.

Interesting Promo

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was actually quite slow. I am glad we’re getting closer to the showdown. I think only after stabbing Farhad, Dilawar will realize who it was that he has killed. In the promo, Farhad’s conversation with W&D Dervish also suggests the time of his death is approaching. Let’s see what happens. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 35 Story Review – Flashback Galore

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was based on two things – one the glorification of Farhad & second the neverending flashbacks, which served no purpose other than filling the episode & prolonging the drama further. The drama itself is so slow that to see the editors relying on flashbacks was off-putting. At this stage, the least they can do is speed up the progress & wrap things up but the drama makers don’t seem to be in a mood for that. While watching this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, I found myself reaching for the remote control more than usual because of how loud the background score & OST was!

Glorification of Farhad

Farhad will be happy to know that he has gained a few more followers on his Instagram in the form of Sikandar & his mother too. Once again, I fail to see any specialty or extra-ordinary-ness in Farhad but to see everyone literally bowing down to him as if he is some spiritual being is unbelievable. Sikandar was now floored because Farhad was protecting Mahi. I am not too sure what it was that Sikandar wanted to know whereas he had heard everything from Romana directly. His curiosity got the better of him & he decided to know more about Farhad & Mahi’s equation.

The only scene that I liked in this entire episode was Jageerdarni’s support towards Mahi. I am glad out of the entire lot, Jageerdarni not only has sensibility, but she has sensitivity too. She has not only claimed to be Mahi’s mother but wants to prove it through her actions too. It would’ve been so nice if Mahi’s biological mother had kept her breathlessness aside & had this conversation with her daughter but anyhow, it is Jageerdarni who did that. She wanted to know what it was that Mahi wanted & no matter how much Mahi tried to cover up, she figured out that this was yet another decision taken by Mahi due to the family pressures & nothing else. I am really glad that in this entire drama, there is a character like Jageerdarni who has shown so much growth – she started off on a bitter note with Mahi but now she truly loves her selflessly & only wants to see Mahi happy!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 35 Story Review - Flashback Galore

So, Dilawar has entered the picture & he has been assigned to assassinate Farhad. Noora has prepared a place for Dilawar in Sahiwal, I am sure when Dilawar will find out who he’s about to kill, he will most likely offer Farhad to escape & come with him to Sahiwal. Dilawar already was quite uneasy with the fact that he has to kill someone affiliated with Mazaar but Noora chose not to tell him who it was. I am surprised that Noora suggested Dilawar’s name to Nazim because when it was rumored that Farhad has passed away, Noora himself saw how Dilawar took this news to his heart & how upset he was. It is unrealistic that despite knowing the nature of friendship that both Dilawar & Farhad shared, Noora thought Dilawar was fit for this job!

Please Move The Story Forward

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 practically had nothing to offer, apart from a scene or two that were actually related to some development in the story. Jageerdarni also wanted Mahi to meet Farhad, I am glad Sahiba now has a partner. The new flashbacks which showed Mahi & Sahiba in Hijab left a bad taste in the mouth because so far it has been established that the ladies of this Peer Gharana do not observe Hijab in its true essence, so just to use it merely for the sake of a ‘new’ & ‘forced’ flashback was unnecessary. The kind of Hijab that was given to Sahiba was aesthetically so poor that it actually showed why she was better off without one. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 34 Story Review – The Reactions

Okay, so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was quite happening. I will be honest, I had high expectations from this drama & anticipated that the story is going to be quite different, but as the episodes progressed & it turned out to be quite typical, it resulted in me being disappointed. I am glad that the drama is in its final stages & the story is wrapping up, but somehow I still feel it has not been shown in a convincing manner. The acting of all the actors, the direction & production value, everything on its own has been great, but when put together, there is a lot that is missing which is unfortunate.

The Bizarre Reactions

It was interesting how the writer showed Romana in a positive light again. She has a lot of principles & she cannot think of doing wrong. The writer made sure to let everyone know that her intentions were pure & she only went to see Jageerdarni so that she could save Mahi from a life full of sacrifices. I think it would’ve been a lot more believable if Romana had actually met Jageerdarni to plead for her marriage to Sikandar, while also letting her know that Mahi loves Farhad. All of this could’ve happened without turning Romana into a spiteful character, at least it would’ve been quite human of her to expect something out of this too considering how miserable she has been without Sikandar. The way Romana has been placed on a high pedestal of morality, principles & selflessness makes her character a bit hard to digest. Chanda on the other hand looks real in her comparison at least!

The entire scene between Nazim & Farhad was so forced. The way Nazim intimidated Farhad that too with his own hands tied literally defeated the purpose of this interaction. It was amusing that the man who was so touchy about his family’s ghairat & izzat didn’t think once before saying Mahi’s name out loud in front of all those random men he took with him to scare Farhad? I am glad Farhad looked at all of them only to imply how shallow Nazim’s approach towards this entire situation was. Nazim Shah is another character that lacks depth & to be honest purpose because of the way it has been treated. The acting & the way he shook with anger was just so OTT that I had a hard time taking him seriously.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 34 Story Review - The Reactions

As much as I like how Farhad is always himself when he interacts with Mahi, it would’ve been nice if he had dealt with Nazim a bit differently. Telling the brother of the girl you love to question her is such a typical boyish behavior, showcasing that you’re not ready to take any responsibility & wants her to be questioned too. It made it look like Farhad was also putting a blame on Mahi that she comes to see him & he is not at fault. When Farhad looked at the men he was surrounded with, I thought he will ask Nazim to not blurt Mahi’s name so callously. This was the kind of evolvement I expected from Farhad’s character – at least at this stage of his journey. He chose to behave exactly like he would have while he was in Lahore so it does make one question what is it in him that has changed? Nothing I guess!

Mahi’s mother finally realized how out of touch with breath & reality she has been all this while & I am glad she did. It was sad that she was blaming Fakira as if she herself was free from all the responsibility she had as a mother of Mahi. I am not holding her accountable for not keeping a check on Mahi, but this serves her right for not being an emotionally available mother who had stood by her daughter. Even now she was concerned about Jageerdarni’s reaction, while completely ignoring the pain her daughter was suffering. As I said in the previous review, if Farhad or even Mahi had done something or retaliated in any manner, these reactions would’ve made sense, seeing the entire family react only because Mahi & Farhad have had feelings for each other makes this entire situation so bizarre, unnecessary, unconvincing & forced. Mahi is minding her own business & so is Farhad, they both love each other from a distance, without expecting anything in their lives to change, so why is their family losing their sleep over this mere fact. It is funny to think that just because they are overreacting, everyone around them is now finding about something which could’ve been well kept a secret!

I must say I am impressed by Dervish. What is it that he can not do? He can predict the future, he can see the past of any human being that walks past him & just when the director thought the viewers were kind of forgetting about his special powers, we were shown that W&D Dervish can teleport too. I was actually wondering when & how did he come back because Farhad didn’t see him entering the room, he vanished into thin air. How amazing!

Good Acting

This episode was definitely better than a lot of previous episodes. However, it is unfortunate that the story in itself is so mediocre & the characters have shown absolutely no growth that makes it easier to find logic in what is elaborated. My favorite moment of this entire episode was seeing Sikandar hide behind the wall, I mean Romana showed so much courage, the least he could’ve done is hold her hand & tell Jageerdarni that he wanted to be with her. He has been such a coward character that makes me pity him. He would literally search the entire city for Romana, but will not take a stand for her in front of his mother? How twisted is that! Good acting by Iqra & Feroze. I must say for girls who are struggling financially, Romana & Chanda’s wardrobe is really nice! Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 33 Story Review – The Secret Is Out

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was quite happening. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that whatever they are showing is convincing or makes sense. It is disappointing and the fact is, with each passing episode, one thing gets clear that the story of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 is mediocre along with very shallow characters. It won’t be wrong to say that it is mediocrity at its best that has been packaged in such a manner that makes it look grand, which it isn’t.

The Secret Is Out

In the previous review, I deliberately didn’t discuss Romana’s fever considering she was quite irrelevant but it seems she still has some purpose left & a score to settle. However, I won’t mince my words that seeing her character is off-putting. I remember when she was introduced, I wanted to know more about her but her story & character have stopped adding value to the story, so she still seems quite irrelevant. Sikandar was seen talking about Romana after weeks – this is actually what makes things look quite choppy in Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 that all of a sudden a character is seen interested in something which he or she was least bothered about. This approach makes it look like the director forgets about a certain situation & then as soon as he is reminded of the unfinished business, he gets back to it. There is no flow in the direction, which makes it all look very choppy & out of the blue!

Mahi wanted to meet Farhad & although she insists that she wants to send him back that is why she wants to see him – she is still in denial that it is only because she yearns for it. However, she is lucky to have Sahiba’s support because she happens to be the first one ready to serve this single purpose that she is here for the first place. I will however say that Mahi & Farhad’s meeting was definitely my favorite part of this episode, I wish they hadn’t really prolonged Mahi’s forlorn/crying face & stretched it so much. The audio seemed a bit too off with it being obvious that Mahi’s dialogues were later dubbed & added to the scene, which kind of ended up being quite distracting. However, props to both Iqra & Feroze for performing brilliantly in that scene. Farhad’s recitation of Punjabi poem was beautiful as well. I still found some of the dialogues problematic in this episode & the first one was Mahi wishing to be with Farhad in ‘agla jahan’. As far as they want to glorify the kind of love Farhad has for Mahi for the sake of drama, they have the right to do that but to literally play along such insinuations is definitely uncalled for. Anyhow, this was the first time Farhad found out that Mahi also loves him but unfortunately, he wasn’t the only one to witness this moment – the spy as well as Romana were around as well to ruin this moment for them.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 33 Story Review - The Secret Is Out

Romana’s bitterness can be understood because all this while she saw Mahi as someone completely selfless for what she was doing & how she told Romana to walk out of Sikandar’s life. However, she couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that a ‘shurafa’ as she calls them, one of them could actually be deceptive to this extent that while being in love with Farhad, she ended up marrying someone else. I really thought for Farhad’s sake, Romana will once again keep this secret buried in her heart because this is all that she has been doing for so long but not anymore. Once again, her character will be used so that Mahi’s truth can be exposed in front of Jageerdarni but somehow it just doesn’t click as much as it should have.

Well well well, talking about everything that was wrong in this episode was the way Nazim Shah behaved. The slap on Sahiba’s face was just not needed & I can not believe why both the actors involved thought this was the right thing to do. Nazim’s aggression could’ve been channeled out in another way & there was strictly no need for him to slap his wife. I really don’t understand why Nazim was turning this into such a huge issue? Even if they have figured out everything, they need to analyze the entire situation before reacting to it so aggressively. Farhad fell in love with Mahi, he came to Bahawalpur for her, Mahi also fell in love with him but didn’t really realize it, she happily accepted Taimoor’s proposal knowing this is the kind of man her family wanted her to get married to, Taimoor got killed & Mahi became a widow – thanks to Nazim Shah. She completed her Iddat whereas Farhad went missing & never returned? How & why does it have to turn into such a huge ‘ghairat & izzat’ issue when even they as a family didn’t know about it for so so long with Mahi & Farhad keeping their feelings to themselves? It was actually amusing when Nazim started speaking about people finding out? Like seriously!

Another problematic dialogue came from Kazim Shah who blamed his ‘Peerni’ wife for not being able to take care of ‘aik beti’, whereas he himself has raised a son like Nazim Shah who easily gets people killed, slaps his wife & walks on the Earth arrogantly. Also, there is absolutely nothing ‘peer-like’ about this entire family, so not sure why were they introduced as such – probably to malign the reputation of such households who hold this title close to their hearts generation after generation & wear it as a badge of honor. Once again, I am sure it’s a forgotten aspect of the drama now but the peer gharana has not been observing ‘parda’ for weeks now. It is absolutely saddening that they used ‘hijab’ only for the show & reduced its meaning to nothing!

What’s Next

The preview of the next episode was definitely quite interesting. I am glad that after weeks of slow episodes, there is a lot happening in the drama now. I am wondering when W&D Dervish is going to make a comeback or will he ever return in order to save Farhad & turn all the hardships away from him. Or maybe they have sent him away to show that these are Farhad’s personal battles that he has to fight on his own. Iqra Aziz & Feroze Khan definitely deserve a round of applause for their phenomenal performances as Mahi & Farhad. I am glad there was a lot of normalcy in Mahi & Farhad’s conversation, it was as if they were still very much comfortable with each other & still spoke to one another like they did when they first met, as friends. As much as I am not a fan of Sahiba’s character, I still believe she did not deserve a slap merely because she knew about the feelings Mahi had for Farhad. I think seeing Romana’s courage, Sikandar will hide behind her dupatta & tell her to convince Jageerdarni for their marriage as well because he on his own can not do it. Go Romana! Also, I wonder how Jageerdarni is going to react now that a Majawar from her favorite & revered Mazaar is responsible for this entire situation, let’s see if her biases will allow Farhad to be with Mahi? Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 32 Story Review – The Reunion

Ohkay so, the only two important scenes in this entire episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 were the meeting of Farhad with his family & then the conversation he had with W&D Dervish about ‘kismat ka banda’. While I enjoyed that conversation so much, I ended up scrolling the cursor to see which number of episodes this was & I was surprised to see it being the 32nd episode. I have said this before & will say it again, the slow pace has definitely ruined this drama & has made it extremely hard to watch it with interest. This conversation should’ve happened weeks ago so that we could’ve seen a change or some sort of emotional transition of Farhad but not sure what made the drama-makers think saving it till 32nd episodes was the right thing to do!

The Reunion & The Spy

Farhad’s reunion with his family, especially his mother was done nicely. All the things they said to him only showed how helpless they felt but knew that they stood no chance because they were well aware of Farhad’s stubborn nature. I liked that his father once again reinforced the sense of responsibility & let him be, it showed that he always wanted to see Farhad at such a position in his life where he stood firm on his ground & didn’t back off from his commitments. Although, Farhad hasn’t chosen the path that his father wanted to but it was nice that he was very respectful towards Farhad’s choices. His mother’s heart was put to ease & she didn’t need anything more than seeing her son alive. Their meet-up was definitely the highlight of this episode which was also acted out brilliantly.

Another important scene of this episode was Farhad’s conversation with Dervish. For the first time, it was suggested that Dervish wanted to see Farhad free from all the desires related to love that he had for Mahi. This was definitely one of the life-changing conversations that Farhad had which showed him a completely different perspective. Realistically it suggested that this conversation happened some time ago but it was now showing effects & Farhad had just started to think on those lines. Initially, I also used to think that maybe Dervish wanted Farhad to end up with Mahi but now I do realize that he was bringing them face to face time & again, only to strengthen Farhad & to make him realize that he could continue to live without being with her. This way, the Dervish tested Farhad & helped him in a different manner.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 32 Story Review - The Reunion

As far as finding details about Farhad was alright, Kazim Shah’s sudden interest in Farhad’s lady-love seems so out of place & out of his character. I do understand that throughout this drama, all the characters have been obsessed with Farhad but this one takes the cake definitely. Kazim Shah should be worrying about Mahi’s upcoming wedding to Sikandar, his elections & campaigns, but instead, he is obsessing over Farhad’s love life. I thought Noora telling him that Farhad met his family & now takes care of the affairs related to Mazaar would settle his curiosity but he decided to take it a step further. It is understandable that the writer chose this route only to later expose the equation/love that Mahi & Farhad have for each other but once again, it seems a bit unconvincing. Noora also left a spy in the Mazaar to find out more about Farhad!?!

I really don’t know what to say about Sahiba really, it is unfortunate that as much as I like Sunita Marshall as an actress, I feel saddened that she was given such a role that is just so absurd & has no sensibility whatsoever. Just in the last episode, she told Mahi to buck up & close Farhad’s chapter now that she was engaged to be married to Sikandar & in this episode, she once again brings Farhad up to dig deeper into Mahi’s wounds. That girl is already suffering, she is torn between the guy she likes/loves & her family’s expectations of her, she has kind of made up her mind & Sahiba has once again struck like a bolt, trying to shatter everything & once again mess with Mahi’s brains. I so so wish Sunita Marshall herself had done something, had given some kind of input to prevent her character of Sahiba look so stupid but sadly that didn’t happen. I think more than Mahi, Sahiba is in love with the idea of seeing Mahi with Farhad. Once again, one fails to think why would a girl married into such a family of prestige who knows how this family rolls, would be so fascinated with the love that a random guy from Lahore has for Mahi. Maybe in her free time she has been reading quite a lot of digest stories, hence the obsession.

Slow Episode

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was once again quite slow but the saving grace was those couple of scenes. At this point, as much as I do understand Mahi, I don’t really feel for her because she chose not to take a stand for herself. She just went with the flow & now seeing her crying bucket of tears is not making much of a difference. Yes, I am not saying she should’ve said that she wanted to marry Farhad but instead she could’ve excused herself from this life-long commitment which she knows is only going to demand a lifetime of sacrifices without her heart into it. I think she should’ve done this much for herself & I would’ve seen it as something substantial. Props to Asma Abbas & Waseem Abbas for their soulful performance as Farhad’s parents, they portrayed those emotions beautifully along with the actors who played the role of Farhad’s siblings as well. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 31 Story Review – Poor Character Development

Ohkay so, this was yet another slow episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 which followed the same pattern as all of the previous episodes. This one ended on an important note too but the fact is, the importance of that particular event will fade away because waiting for one particular development for an entire week doesn’t really seem to be worth it.

Sir Jhoom Jhoom JayeEeeeEeee AAAaaaAAAAAaaaAa

In this episode, Farhad got a promotion & he took the place of Dervish. It is safe to say that a change of clothing turned out to be the only reason which resulted in his promotion because if we look at his personal growth, there seems to be none. I think during the time Farhad was observing mourn vrat for almost 10+ episodes, the director had plenty of time to work on this particularly important aspect of Farhad’s character & journey by showing what he was thinking or feeling. Sadly, during that time, the focus was so much on the rest of the characters to make sure that they were madly concerned about Farhad, that the director lost that golden opportunity. At this stage of the drama, I can certainly say there is absolutely nothing to Farhad or his journey that makes me understand him or his feelings. Supposedly a character who happens to be the hero of the drama has shown absolutely no growth, there is nothing in his journey that has evolved based on solid reasons. It is amusing that just because W&D Dervish handed him a black suit, shawl & a turban, that immediately elevated his status to some spiritual being who was now worthy of everyone’s respect? It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever!

I never really thought I’d say this but Sahiba happens to be the worst character in this drama. This character is solely responsible for messing up with Mahi’s mind & thought process & she herself seems so confused that she continues to inflict that confusion on Mahi as well. In the initial stages of the episode, Sahiba showed concern about Mahi & also bragged that she wanted to do something for her ‘happiness’. However, as the episode progressed, Sahiba was now concerned that everyone else is going to find out that Mahi was unhappy & it won’t be good for her therefore she should wipe her tears away. I really wanted to see some sort of substance in Sahiba’s character & assumed there was going to be some but at this stage of the drama I stand disappointed, yet again!

In this entire episode, Mahi acted with her lenses because she didn’t have many dialogues to say. It is amusing that in this entire drama, the supporting cast gets so much screen-time & dialogues that makes me wonder whether the writer forgot to work on the actual & main characters. When we look at Farhad, the people around him have always hyped him up & looking at the people around Mahi; they have always made decisions on her behalf, leaving her speechless – most of the time. Mahi’s reasoning was that just because Jageerdarni mistook her tears as a ‘yes’, she couldn’t say ‘no’. Wow! I think it would’ve been so refreshing if it was Mahi who would’ve made the decision without getting pressurized by her family members. Mahi has earned it during the months where she observed Iddat, that if she had presented her reasoning, Jageerdarni would’ve understood.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 31 Story Review - Poor Character Development

For a person contesting in the upcoming elections, Nazim Shah seems too ‘faarigh’. Chalo, it is good that at this stage of the drama, he has got something special or interesting to do because apart from giving ‘tao’ to his mustache, I haven’t seen him doing anything purposeful throughout the drama. All of a sudden, Nazim Shah has become this person who does things stealthily, whereas he has been always the one who was very vocal & out-there with his approach towards things. All of sudden he is interested in Farhad & the reason for which he has become this Fakir at a Mazaar? Why now? I wish they had told Dilawar to come too because the guy at least deserves this much information, based on the buckets that he filled with his tears mourning Farhad’s loss!

It was nice to be reminded of how Farhad’s mother, father, brother & sister looked because I had actually forgotten their faces. It is interesting to note that after the departure of W&D Dervish, Farhad got exposed to Nazim Shah & was also found by his family. I guess the Dervish had written the script till his role in the drama & now that he is out of the picture, Farhad has become a public entity with everyone finding out about him. W&D Dervish has disowned Farhad it seems & this is why he is not here to tell Farhad what is going to happen & who is looking for him. The way Noorah also told his assistants that if they find out Farhad, they have to be silent about it made absolutely no sense? All of sudden so much hype about something so simple where all they have to do is go to him & ask what happened that made him come to this Mazaar. I am glad that just when Farhad was having yet another acid reflux after overeating at Jageerdarni’s Haveli, his mother spotted him. She will now do gharelu todka to help her long-lost son.

Farhad Who?

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 highlighted all the things that are wrong with this drama, especially the way lead characters have been tackled by the writer & the director. I don’t remember seeing a drama in a long time where there was so little focus on the actual growth & evolvement of the lead characters & the supporting cast was getting all the attention. It is like they do the talking for Mahi & Farhad all the time, which results in this major disconnect with them. Even if at this stage of the drama, there is nothing to pick up on what changed Farhad or what he is feeling, therefore I don’t know what to take away from his character or journey. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 3 Story Review – The Friendship

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat did not really take the story forward because all that happened was very much related to one particular situation. However, it further gave us an insight into the kind of people both Mahi & Farhad were. Where Mahi was a go-getter, Farhad was emotional. It also established the fact that Mahi was someone who when puts her mind to something knows how to get it whereas Farhad kind of has an easy-going approach because he is more emotionally driven at this stage of life. Mahi & Farhad are two different people but one thing common between them is that they have not really had life-changing experiences so far in their lives. They both have lived a one-dimensional life and their journeys have been pretty simple but now things are going to change & they both have no idea.

Mahi & Farhad’s Friendship

Mahi was adamant that she has to do what it takes so that Rida can meet Faris. Mahi kind of realized that out of all the people, it was Farhad who could help her & then the rest of the episode focused on pretty much that. It also showed that for Farhad, this was more than just a friendship & he looked like a very simple-minded guy who was now mistaking Mahi’s boisterous nature & her frankness with something else. However, it was also clear that Farhad didn’t really pay much heed to what Mahi was feeling because on his own he was sorted about what his feelings were. Farhad has pretty much fallen for Mahi & at the moment, it can be termed as an infatuation. I liked that it was very much clear & nothing else was being established. All of this definitely has started as something harmless & unintentional but it is obviously understood that both Mahi & Farhad are definitely going to be at the suffering end only because of these feelings & the emotions they’d had towards each other.

Farhad definitely has scored brownie points in front of his father & it seems he is very happy with how Farhad is taking his job seriously. All the conversations related to Farhad’s keenness towards his job were interesting because everyone was finding it hard to understand what it was that changed in a guy like him who was always laid back & wasn’t much into the idea of hard work. This definitely is going to be a misunderstanding on Farhad’s part but for now, to see him just being happy with the idea of Mahi present at Nisar Sahab’s place was kind of sweet.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 3 Story Review - The Friendship

Naheed (Momina Iqbal) seems to be quite serious about Farhad too. Although Farhad doesn’t take her seriously, she has made it very clear that she has genuine feelings for him, this is why she found it hard to take him out of his mind. Also because she happens to be a next-door neighbor for so long, none of Farhad’s siblings find it awkward that she talks about him all the time. She was obviously very disturbed with the changes she saw in him because she could sense that he was getting invested somewhere else. I am really interested to see how this track will develop & how Naheed’s character will evolve because this episode, in particular, showed that there was definitely more to her, I really hope that happens to be the case & she has more to offer than just being a girl madly in love with Farhad.

Mahi finally came up with a plan & Farhad helped her. Rida got what she wanted & everyone was pretty happy. This entire adventure gave Mahi & Farhad a chance to have a conversation with each other. For Mahi, this is just a regular friendship & nothing else but Farhad definitely is getting emotionally invested in her. On the other hand, Taimoor also got some information about Mahi & he figured out that just like him, she too comes from an affluent background, which obviously makes Taimoor assume that it might be easy for his family to approach hers.

Great Production Value

Although the drama is in the initial stages, it won’t be wrong to say that this was more or less a filler episode but because the viewers are still getting to know about the characters, this one didn’t really seem unnecessary or purposeless. However, the situation of Rida’s fiance demanding to not cut the cake without her seemed a little forced but it once again was used to show what Mahi & Farhad can do when they put their mind to something. The production value of this drama is superb, I must say, each & every frame has a story to tell. All the actors look amazing. Iqra Aziz & Sunita Marshal looked gorgeous in this episode & their outfits, hair & makeup were stunning too. I wish I could say that about Rida/Meherbano, the bride but she just looks unkempt, maybe this was the ‘look’ she was going for but while sharing the screen with Sunita & Iqra, it did feel like the stylists should’ve paid a bit more attention to her considering she was the ‘bride’ after all. Iqra Aziz hasn’t offered something new so far whereas Feroze Khan is definitely impressing with each passing episode.

In this episode, Momina Iqbal also stood out due to her performance & she also looks absolutely beautiful. She has done justice to all the emotions that Naheed has been feeling & is perplexed about. As much as the drama has had a great start, I really wish the commercial touch doesn’t overpower the essence of the story & compromises the impact it should make, especially when I as a viewer know exactly what Khuda Aur Mohabbat has been all about in the past. A lot of effort & hard work has gone into creating this season but I really wish they over-simplify the situations when it calls for it because this is what is going to help the viewers connect with the characters better. The direction so far seems to be great & the supporting actors too are performing flawlessly. I must say I am loving all the aerial shots of Lahore, they are just stunning. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 29 Story Review – The Meet Up

Ohkay so, this was a pretty straightforward episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, with a lot of conversations happening between the characters. Things finally seem to be moving a bit in the story but as much as I’d like it to, I don’t really see it ending anytime soon. For a drama touching the 30th episode mark, it won’t be wrong to say that nothing substantial has happened in it for weeks & weeks now!

Mahi’s Decisions

One of the important conversations happened between Farhad & Dervish were about how he should give himself up for the bigger purpose in life. Farhad so far hasn’t understood what Dervish is trying to tell him but slowly & steadily, he will realize that. At times, it does look a bit confusing as well because Dervish himself doesn’t let him forget about the love he has for Mahi & wants him to remember the kind of intense emotions he has felt for her. On one hand, one can think that the Dervish wants to see Mahi & Farhad together but on the other, he wants Farhad to be free from the world around him.

Mahi’s mother let Nazim Shah know about Sikandar’s proposal. The moment I heard Nazim & Kazim speak about Sikandar’s stature & power in the area, I knew they’d be happy with this settlement because it brings them a lot of benefits & the promo suggested just that. It is sad that Mahi who now started feeling like she had some sort of control over her own life will be forced to take a decision against her will. Although lovingly but in the end, even she will know that she doesn’t have an option of saying no. Even if Mahi doesn’t get to be with Farhad, but if she doesn’t want to get married to Sikandar, I really wish she says that because the Mahi that we have seen so far is the one who does what she wants to!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 29 Story Review - The Meet Up

So, Mahi & Farhad finally met after half the drama went by, their conversation was long & detailed with Mahi telling him everything that she wanted him to. Farhad was still stuck on the same page but I was glad when I heard him holding himself accountable for the bad-duas. However, I couldn’t really understand the overall attitude of Farhad where he seemed a bit too stern & cold, then all of a sudden went into a victim mode. Mahi’s attitude was pretty much the same where she just requested him & wanted him to stop wasting his life just like that. Mahi genuinely wants Farhad to snap out of this misery. The whole Taveez nahi pehnoongi seemed a bit of stretch, which obviously is going to result in their next meeting, so it’s understandable.

Good Performances

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 did move things forward & yes, it ended on an important note with Sahiba asking Mahi the question she has been avoiding for months now – is she in love with Farhad too? Sahiba has been convinced about it since day one but when it comes to Mahi, she will now be forced to think about it. Iqra Aziz & Feroze Khan acted brilliantly in this episode, however, I wish the director had at least given Feroze Khan a bit more clarity during the Mahi-Farhad meet-up scene. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 26 Story Review – Mahi The Savior

Ohkay so, although this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was longer in duration, the scenes were more or less the same. It won’t be wrong to say that for those who want to save time, the best way they can follow this drama is by watching the promos of the next episode because the happenings in those short clips are exactly what are elaborated in every episode. It is definitely a shame that the slow pace of this drama has made it quite taxing to follow.

Mahi Is The Savior

This episode was all about Mahi & her role as a perfect homemaker. Each & every person around her is convinced that she can fill the void in the kids’ lives & keep Sikandar on the right track. She has done it all out of goodwill but people around her have started to expect more. Jageerdarni was also quite convinced the moment she heard the idea because she has seen everything that Mahi has done for the entire family. Once again, I think it is too much to expect from a girl who did everything because she wanted to. Now she might be emotionally blackmailed with no option of opting out of this life, let’s see. I am however glad that in the preview of the next episode, Mahi’s mother was actually taking a stand for her daughter. It’s about time that Mahi’s family also steps in. Their silence was justified because they respected Mahi’s decision but now that her Iddat is over, they definitely can intervene & help her make a decision!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 26 Story Review - Mahi The Savior

Mahi has become a problem-solver for this entire family. This is why the moment Jageerdarni let her know that Sikandar’s activities upset her she decided to take charge of the situation by telling Romana off. I do understand Romana’s love & respect for Sikandar but I failed to feel for her in this episode. At least Mahi was able to make it clear to Romana what Sikandar was trying to do for so so long. He has time & again told her that he can not officialize their relationship but Romana continued with her mannats until she became a mannat herself!?! I guess it’s time for Romana to give company to Farhad at the Mazaar because her mannat wasn’t fruitful. Their meeting was nicely done & Mahi was quite respectful in dealing with it. I kind of giggled that Jageerdarni completely forgot about Romana & went ahead strengthening her relationship with Mahi. She has told Sikandar that she expects him to marry her & going by the change in Sikandar’s expressions, it looks like he doesn’t mind the idea too. Obviously, he understands that is what his mother & kids want so he will go ahead with it, especially now that Romana will back off herself!

I will say I now understood why Mahi & Farhad did not get to see each other before, it was because the writer waited for her Iddat to be over, which is definitely a development that I don’t mind. Mahi deserved the time off while she mourned the loss of her husband & now that she is past the duration of Iddat, coming across Farhad doesn’t stir a negative emotion while watching the drama. I am glad this aspect of Mahi’s life was treated respectfully & vigilantly. It seems the Dervish will now send Farhad to Mahi’s house deliberately so that Farhad can also figure out what has happened to her & how she isn’t living the ideal marital life she wanted to with Taimoor.

Next

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was alright. I will definitely say that the slow pace has taken away the charm this drama had plus the kind of one-dimensional treatment the characters have gotten has also hindered me in developing a connection with them. I just see them as superficial characters on-screen without taking anything away from them or their journey after every episode ends, which I feel was definitely something that the director should’ve taken care of. Maybe the visuals as well as so many filters also rub it to your face that this is just a drama that should be treated as such without much reality to it. Iqra Aziz deserves full points for her performance & so does Tooba Siddique. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 24 & 25 Story Review – Who Is Farhad?

Ohkay so, I must say these two were much-needed episodes of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 because they kind of wrapped this phase up & at the end promised that the story will be moving onto the next phase in the upcoming episodes. I will still say there were quite a few scenes that could’ve been cut short but the one thing that has been established about Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 is its slow pace & the repetition that can’t be helped. I am however glad that the monotony was broken & some of the new scenarios were brought to the forefront. The main focus of these two episodes was Farhad & who he was. This is the question that he was asking, this is the question that everyone around him was asking & on the whole, everyone including him was trying to figure out what was so special about him. I won’t lie, this is something that I am still trying to figure out too & sadly, I haven’t found the answer. However, I will definitely give credit to the writer for writing some very interesting conversations & meaningful dialogues which in general made a lot of sense without necessarily having to link them up with Farhad & his journey. I did enjoy those conversations for sure.

Who Is Farhad?

I will get done with this at the beginning where Dervish is making it clear with each passing episode that he happens to be the writer of Farhad’s character & his journey. To have a vague ‘ilham’ would’ve still looked justifiable but the way Dervish knows every minute detail of Farhad’s life is a bit too unrealistic. Dervish even knew what Farhad’s job was before he came to the Mazaar & how good he was at managing events!?! Honestly, although I know Dervish was just trying to break the ice & start a conversation when he asked Farhad his name but it was actually quite obvious I assume that he already knew Farhad’s name. I mean he has each & every detail of this boy so how can he not know his name, isn’t it? Anyhow, some of the conversations that Farhad & Dervish had were definitely interesting & after such a long long long gap, we got an insight into what Farhad was thinking. For the first time, I felt that the writer & director weren’t leaving it to viewers’ imagination to figure out what Farhad was feeling & by giving words to his thoughts, they did us a favor.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 24 & 25 Story Review - Who Is Farhad?

Romana’s obsession with Farhad was also a bit unrealistic but in these episodes, I saw how it was heavily inspired by Devdas & Chandramukhi’s equation, so all of a sudden it started to make sense. However, I will still say that in this drama, this setting & equation actually doesn’t really fit well but bearing it in mind that the writer has taken inspiration from the original Devdas made it at least a bit tolerable & easy to accept. Romana’s requesting Farhad to come to her place so that she could do his ‘khidmat’ definitely made me uneasy because you just can’t relate to the fact that a girl who saw a random guy at a train station has developed such a strong emotion for him all of a sudden. Once again, the conversation Farhad & Romana had was also quite interesting & Farhad’s take on not being judgmental about who Romana was or where she lived was actually quite refreshing. I wish Tooba Siddique had toned it down in those scenes because her expressions the moment Sikandar showed up became a bit too suggestive!

Finally, Mahi won Jageerdarni over & now the stage is being set for her & Sikandar’s marriage. Jageerdarni obviously wasn’t the one to even think about it but everyone around her put the thought in her head. The way Jageerdarni broke down & apologized to Mahi was definitely one of the finest scenes of this entire drama. It was high time that Mahi was acknowledged for the selflessness she has displayed without being bound to do so. It was definitely sweet that Mahi was finally at peace with where her life has brought her. I liked the fact that Sikandar’s mother didn’t make it obvious to him but continued to inquire about her son, she definitely isn’t oblivious & knows exactly what goes on in Sikandar’s life. It goes to show that she has established her position in Sikandar’s life as such that even he is aware of the fact that he can not do anything that his mother doesn’t approve of. She let her guard down only because she was mourning the loss of Taimoor & also knew that Sikandar wanted some distraction to but that’s all there’s to it & she is not going to allow him anything more than that.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 24 & 25 Story Review - Who Is Farhad?

Romana is definitely asking for more than she knows Sikandar has to offer. Right from the beginning, he has been quite clear about the fact that he can not officialize their relationship but it seems she is now quite desperate & fails to understand that Sikandar is not in a position to marry her. He never was, he never will be. Romana will definitely suffer a heartbreak & probably become a lot more closer to Farhad because they both will have a lot more in common then. Sikandar & Farhad finally had a meeting & it seems the story will come in full circle when Mahi & Farhad will face each other again. One development in Farhad’s track was the dream that he saw. This was probably the beginning of his journey too where even he can have a bit of ‘ilham’ or see cryptic hints in his dreams.

Start Airing Double Episodes Please

The preview of the next episode was also quite interesting. It seems Jageerdarni will finally invite Romana to tell her to exit from Sikandar’s life. That will be the end of Romana’s hope & dreams that she has been holding onto for the longest time. Jageerdarni will also start thinking about Mahi & Sikandar’s marriage but I think there’s still a quotient of suspense there because we’re still unsure whether the marriage will take place or not. Right now it is just being suggested but let’s see what actually happens. I will say that the shots of Mazaar & also the marketplace were really nice. Somehow there was a completely different vibe & essence that came across in these episodes, which added more to the storytelling & made it a decent watch after quite a few weeks. Also, special mention for Gulfam phoolwala, the kind of energy he had & the way he took his role seriously was quite nice & cute at the same time, lol. I think it’s a good idea to show double episodes of a slow-paced drama like Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. It makes it less tedious & keeps the story moving forward too. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 23 Story Review – Stagnant

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 had the exact same pattern as the previous episode. It started off with the sermon of Dervish at the Mazaar, followed by similar happenings at Sikandar’s place, a scene reminding that Romana is still relevant, a scene of Mahi’s parents with the camera overly zoomed into their faces to capture their teary eyes. However, it fortunately ended on a good note where at least someone acknowledged that Mahi was being treated unfairly.

Someone Spoke For Mahi

I will definitely give a lot of credit to Dervish for giving Jageerdarni a different perspective, because as the preview suggested it definitely is going to work & she will have a change of heart. Dervish’s meeting with her & saying things that needed to be said was the only ‘new’ scene in this episode because apart from that everything has been pretty repetitive. At this point, after 23 episodes, all I see is how the drama makers have tried to justify & focus on the Mohabbat aspect of the title, but when it comes to Khuda, not as much!

I am glad Rida took a stand for Mahi & before leaving she proved that she was her friend as she could not see Mahi being treated unfairly. Mahi has accepted everything without any complaints & this selflessness stems from the guilt she has been feeling all this while. At least Rida tried to talk her out of this feeling but because Mahi is confined in such a dark place, both mentally as well as physically, no one can help unless Mahi allows that!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 23 Story Review - Stagnant

In this episode, Farhad looked a little sharp & there was a sudden change in his look. I feel his look till the previous episode went well with his condition & frame of mind but in this episode maybe because the makeup artists & stylists knew he was paying a visit to Mahi’s house, they gave him a makeover. It is amusing that although the story is centered around Farhad, he happens to be the only character who now looks like a shadow. The imbalance in the coverage & treatment of this character is pretty obvious at this stage of the drama. In the initial episodes, even a random stranger who crossed paths with Farhad became obsessed with him but now although he is kind of in seclusion, he is nowhere to be seen. No one knows what he is feeling, what are his thoughts? I think a scene or two showing his self-reflection was definitely required but maybe those scenes were never written in the first place. I am not sure what to think or feel about a central character who barely has spoken anything since the last 6 – 7 episodes maybe? The director definitely took an extreme approach in dealing with this character but sadly, in both cases, he hasn’t been able to give the audience an insight into what his character actually is like.

Oh yes, Romana is still relevant to the story, what a relief I must say. She looked stunning I must say but apart from that, there was nothing new that she said or did. Once again, I think the director was so focused on making Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 & each of its scenes look so ‘pretty’ that he forgot to focus on the characters & making sure that he should extract the personalities given to them.

Repetitive & Monotonous

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 did not have much to offer. I will however say that I definitely liked the scene where Dervish came to Taimoor’s house & said the things he wanted to. I am still trying to figure out how he found out that Farhad is in love with the girl who now happens to be Jageerdarni’s daughter in law? I really want to know. Sadly, the preview of the next episode also didn’t seem promising & looks like we’ll have to watch a few repetitive scenes again. The only difference would be in Jageerdarni’s attitude towards Mahi where she will become more accepting towards her bahu. Romana will once again come to praise Farhad for the things she too has miraculously seen in him which I am still wondering about.

I think Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 should have had a total of 21-22 episodes (just like Alif), with a different pacing & a lot more focus on the characters & their tracks, instead of the focus on glamour & commercialism. It would’ve definitely changed a lot of things. I also find the background music & soundtracks quite burdensome, it is like they mentally drain you while you are watching the episode without even listening to them consciously. Meherbano acted brilliantly in this episode & I will definitely say she acted as a relief in this episode. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 22 Story Review – Mahi Doesn’t Deserve This

Ohkay so, this was yet another excitingly slow episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. In this entire episode, it was reinforced that Jageerdarni was not in a mood to forgive Mahi. She did not even pay heed to the consideration & compassion Mahi was extending towards her. Her bitterness at this stage is now taking away from the fact that she has lost her son, despite the fact that it felt she had her reasons to behave that way during the initial days’ post Taimoor’s death. I really hope they do not prolong Jageerdarni’s saas-y attitude & give Mahi a relief & a break that she most certainly deserves.

Mahi Doesn’t Deserve This

Throughout this episode, I felt nothing but sadness & grief for Mahi. Looking at what she has reduced herself to, made me upset. Although Mahi is taking it as a duty, her obligation & there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but to top it all off, the emotional & physical well-being aside, she is not even at rest mentally was what saddened me the most. Mahi had so much to deal with & now on top of it all, she holds herself accountable, rather deems herself sinful because Farhad with his bad-duas is harrowing her in her thoughts. I really feel there is a lot of imbalance here because the way the writer has tried to uplift Farhad by literally putting Mahi down through all means is disturbing, to say the least. Once again, if they had worked through Farhad’s emotions & his reasons, maybe it would’ve been easier to understand that Mahi deserved all of this because, at this stage of the drama, all I can think about is how unfair it is to her & how she shouldn’t be going through all of this.

Mahi let her friend Rida know that she can’t help but think about Farhad. At this point, the writer & the director obviously want the audience to think that she still has that emotion of love or something of that kind in her heart for Farhad but I will definitely take it as a trauma & nothing else. Ever since Taimoor has passed away, Mahi has only thought about Farhad’s bad-duas & she has held herself responsible for it all, therefore it doesn’t come as a surprise that she can’t help but think about what he said to her. It is absolutely natural & doesn’t translate as anything else.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 22 Story Review - Mahi Doesn't Deserve This

Romana definitely wants more than just an unspoken commitment from Sikandar. She does everything he tells her to do, he controls all the affairs related to her life, therefore it is fine for her to want more in terms of officializing & legalizing this relationship. It did seem Sikandar also understood her ordeal & started thinking on those lines but he hasn’t come up with a decision yet. It is obvious that Sikandar will also be torn between Mahi & Romana where he will have to give up his love for responsibilities or vice versa. It doesn’t take much to figure out that he will definitely pick his children & mother’s well-being over Romana. Sikandar & Romana both will have to go through the trials & tribulations but let’s see what’s in store for them.

Another day at Mazaar & another yummy food parcel that was handed over to Farhad. Once again, it was amusing how Dervish knew which morsel of food belonged to which mouth, I am impressed. Farhad should be happy that he is not the only one who is crying because that quota is being shared by Naheed in Lahore as well. Supposedly she is getting married & even after so many weeks, she feels she hasn’t gotten the time to mourn Farhad’s loss! More than anyone else, I am desperately waiting for her to get married. Also, I am not sure why Fari seemed so surprised because, in the previous episode or the one before that, she was the one who pep-talked Naheed & told her it was time for her to move on.

Slow Paced Drama

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was slow with a couple of important scenes. There is no denying the fact that all the actors have performed brilliantly but I really feel the director’s approach in taking things slow & prolonging each & every nominal situation has killed the charm of this drama. There is absolutely no excitement while waiting for, or watching this drama whereas I had high expectations from it. Iqra Aziz deserves full points for bringing out her best & doing justice to Mahi. If it wasn’t for her acting & performance, I wouldn’t have felt much for Mahi either. The preview of the next episode once again suggested that Mahi & Farhad will cross paths but not sure if they will finally get to see each other or not. Let’s see what happens. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 21 Story Review – A Filler Episode

Ohkay so, not that most of the previous episodes have been different but this one for sure was one boring episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. I fail to connect with any of these characters so to see them moving on in their lives, getting the coverage about what they were intending to do absolutely made no sense whatsoever. The first scene of this episode was also so cryptic & philosophical, that too about the subject which has not been explored in this drama the way it should have, therefore it hindered me from getting hooked to the rest of the episode.

Sikandar > Farhad

The only decent happening & outcome turned out to be in Mahi’s track. She is proving that she is more than just Taimoor’s bewa. Although she takes her marital status quite seriously, she is not letting it make her tunnel-visioned where she has to just mourn & be secluded in her room. Mahi is picking up the pieces & coming to terms with her new life, which includes taking care of people around her, which I felt was a very nice development & promising at that. I do not wish to see her ending up with Sikandar but even if that happens, I wouldn’t mind because of Sikandar > Farhad in every literal sense.

I think before deciding to be a part of this story, Farhad (& I actually mean Farhad, not Feroze Khan) should’ve weighed down the pros & cons & had at least seen how other male characters in his comparison were. It is amusing that the writer wrote this story about Farhad but failed to give him at least 2 or 3 such traits that would’ve made him a decent character, or a person reasonably enough to match Mahi’s caliber. It is funny that although none of the other characters competed with Farhad, they still beat him in the race. Taimoor was a class apart but sadly he is no more, but even though Sikandar has been married before & has two kids, he is also involved with Romana, but even he stands a chance with Mahi & Farhad nowhere comes near.

While watching this episode, I was forced to think how special Hammad’s character in the previous seasons was. His journey also made so much sense because his spirituality was explored in such a manner. Everything about him, his love & his journey of self-discovery was organic & made it super easy to understand him. However, in KAM3, right from the beginning, viewers have been struggling to find that ‘one’ quality to at least see Farhad as a rational person, who is doing the right thing. The director surely has wasted quite a lot of episodes, whereas he could’ve used these to cover Farhad’s transition into this Fakir that he calls himself. At this stage it feels, the director wants us to believe that a few illegal, ticketless journeys on the train made Farhad find the purpose of his life & turn him into this gehra dukhyara, who a girl like Romana has not seen before. I mean what is it in his journey that is convincing or believable for us to see this transition & find it realistic? Right now Superhero Dervish is giving sermons but indirectly, this is his way of teaching Farhad because like I said in the previous review, he miraculously knows what Farhad wants to hear & what his self-inflicted struggles have been!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 21 Story Review - A Filler Episode

I wish Farhad’s mother also had 0.0000001% of the supernatural powers possessed by Dervish so that she knew that Farhad hadn’t died but oh well, luckily we have some real & regular human beings who behave normally & do not have those laser beam eyes, phew! The conversations seemed pretty meaningless in this entire episode, such as the one between Farhad’s father & brother, Sikandar’s conversation on the phone & pretty much everything else. The doctor was also cute, she said Taimoor’s mother was stressed out & she was bottling it up, but oh girl, ask me, all that she did was stress others out just to show how stressed she herself was. I am at this stage where I fail to take anything about Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 seriously, so I thoroughly enjoyed finding these little moments which made me laugh!

This episode had one problematic dialogue that came from Romana. According to her, Farhad is the only one ‘jo sab theek kar sakta hai’. Even before she blurted this out, seeing her eagerness to go to a Mazaar & meet the Fakir was making me think how shallow her approach on faith & Imaan was. Well, I don’t blame her because this is what the writer chose for her so she just played along, lol. Seriously, the kind of ideas the writer has indoctrinated in the name of spirituality in Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 are not only questionable but highly problematic, but yes, I will definitely give due credit to Hashim Nadeem for giving us a character like Dervish because he is super funny & I enjoy watching him being this philosophical about something this nonsensical that Farhad has done. HAQQQQ!!!

I find it funny that the moment someone tries to talk to Farhad, he starts to run away. I think he should’ve straight away gone to his house & locked himself up because no one would’ve bothered him there but oh, just when I thought of this, I was reminded of his father. Obviously, after 2 – 3 weeks of pappiyan & jhappiyan he will start nagging Farhad to move his muscles, go out & earn some money to make a decent living & our nawab Farhad doesn’t want that. Therefore for him, Mazaar & free ki biryani would do!

Looking Forward To Supernatural Action Next Week

The preview of the next episode promised a bit more of a supernatural action with Farhad touching the black bead & Mahi moving to its tune. I really wish the director had at least used some of the special effects to make it completely fantasy, it would’ve made this drama a lot more believable because right now, it is anything but that. Some of the scenes were choppy & others seemed out of the blue. This episode just didn’t work for me & oh well, next week I am dreading a bucket full of tears coming from a lady clad in laal kaffan, oh so dramaticccc!!! Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 20 Story Review – Dervish & His Supernatural Powers

Ohkay so, this was a pretty decent episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. Although the essence remained the same as any other episode which focused purely on the mourning of most of the characters, it was still a happening episode that didn’t seem slow or boring to watch. I am glad the characters exchanged more dialogues instead of tears. Another major development in this episode was clarity on Farhad’s speaking skills, luckily he hasn’t lost any of it & is very much capable of talking to other human beings.

The 40th Day Ritual

For the first time, I am glad Mahi put her stance forward clearly & I could totally understand why she was doing what others weren’t approving of. This is Mahi’s promise to herself & she feels obliged because she wants to also fulfill the promise she made to Taimoor while signing her Nikkah papers. Even if he is not around, she accepted him as her husband & wants to at least do him right by observing Iddat at his place. I will however say that throughout the drama, the basic Islamic concepts have been dealt with extreme carelessness; first, it was Hijab & now Iddat where Mahi is casually talking to Sikandar & vice versa. Considering the slow pace of the drama, if they had shown these interactions after Mahi had completed her Iddat, it would’ve made a lot more sense but oh well.

Please don’t tell me that even before the 40th day, Sikandar went to see Romana, attended a special session of her mehfil that she conducted solely for her, that too dressed to impress. It was so unlike him & I wonder when he left the place, how come his mother did not take notice or even bother asking where he was going because it was that the 40th day was approaching & the entire household was preparing for it. That scene seemed out of the blue & a bit too choppy. It wouldn’t have made any difference if they had edited it out. I found it amusing when Romana showed concerned about Sikandar not looking too well, trust me girl he looked fine!

Sikandar & Mahi’s conversations have become quite frequent & they continue to communicate about one thing or the other. Sikandar told Mahi that he finds strength every time he looks at her. The dialogue stated ‘jab bhi mai himmat torne lagta hoon, mai tumhe dekhta hoon’ which I think should’ve been ‘jab bhi mai himmat torne lagta hoon, mai Romana ke pass chala jata hoon’.

Mahi’s family didn’t get the treatment they desired & it was ironic that Mahi’s mother said ‘itni bhi kya berukhi’! I am not at all condoning the way Mahi gets treated by her mother in law but Mahi’s mother should be the last person complaining about her attitude & behavior because that woman has lost her son & that it purely because of Mahi’s father & brother. If she had spoken all of this because she felt for her daughter then it still would’ve made sense but in all honesty, she was in no position to complain at all!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 20 Story Review - Dervish & His Supernatural Powers

Romana also had a conversation with Mahi & in the preview, it showed Mahi is going to find out who Romana is. Romana also met Farhad & wanted to know more about him. Once again, there was no need to show Mahi standing right at the front door because she was still in her Iddat. She may get a bit of a benefit of the doubt when it comes to Sikandar because the two share the same roof but there was absolutely no need for her to come outside knowing that the gates were open to the public & strangers.

Dervish Is A Pakistani Superhero

The highlight of this episode for me was Dervish & the sudden change in his communication skills. I am not saying this as a compliment but out of sheer bewilderment. For the last 19 episodes, I was under the impression that Dervish spoke cryptically & was never too elaborate with his words & thought process. Honestly speaking, when I heard Taimoor’s mother asking her house-help to approach Dervish & request him to come & say a prayer, I still thought he was not fit for the job because he can not really speak in that manner but immediately I got to see him giving dars to strangers. This seemed like a sudden shift in his personality & a very sudden development which the director resorted to.

Right from the beginning, for the last 19 episodes, the Dervish has not spoken properly & has been very philosophical & cryptic but now he was seen having regular conversations without much philosophy to them. At one point, I felt maybe the Dervish was the writer of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 or maybe he had those special eyes that Taher Shah once spoke about in his song because just by looking at people, he finds out everything about them. He knew this call was for Farhad & that he had to go to Mahi’s house. After taking a look at Mahi, he also figured out she is the girl Farhad is after & everything in between. I think it would’ve been far more appropriate if they had dressed Dervish as some Pakistani Superhero with laser beams beaming from his eyes because that seems to be the only justification for his supernatural powers. I say this because I fail to believe that any regular human being can do all these accurate calculations about anyone else just by looking at them!!! I find Dervish more comical & kind of see him as comic relief in this overly melodrama, therefore I enjoy his antics because I don’t take him seriously. However, I must say, the sudden change in his speaking style was a big surprise that the writer & the director had in store for us & I thoroughly enjoyed this twist!

Looking Forward To The Next Episode

This episode was definitely nice because the characters for once behaved like normal people where they spoke to each other & had something or the other to share. Iqra Aziz’s acting was quite powerful in the scene where Mahi tells Sahiba why she has chosen to stay at Taimoor’s house. The preview of the next episode seemed quite promising. I also find it funny that Romana will ask Farhad to pray for her & Sikandar but it seems his prayer will take a U-turn, which will result in Sikandar & Mahi’s union, lol. Let’s see. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 2 Story Review – A Misunderstanding

Ohkay so, in this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat, the focus was on establishing the equation between Farhad & Mahi. It definitely was an interesting watch but I must say, the amount of hard work that has gone into making the visuals sound of this drama is beyond impressive. Just as much as I enjoyed watching the episode, I liked focusing on the background & how each & every minute detail was set to tell a story. This is what gives a lot of dimension & depth to any drama & when it comes to visuals, Khuda Aur Mohabbat is nothing short of a treat.

A Misunderstanding

I must say, the way all the actors have embraced these characters makes it look like way before the shooting began, they all started doing their homework & imbibed these characters to do justice to them. Each & every actor so far makes it look like this character was written for them & it definitely adds a lot more to the drama watching experience. I really like how Farhad’s house has been designed; the paint, the towel hanging on a wall, a dish soap near the sink, his mother’s sewing machine & the cabinet behind it holding all of her tools & accessories.

I must definitely commend Waseem Abbas for taking this character to another level, it just goes to show that even after doing so much work & giving the Pakistani drama industry his all, he still has so much more to offer. For him to take off his hairpiece, knowing that this look would suit the dynamic of a character that he is playing says a lot about the level of performer he is. While watching this episode, those few shots of Waseem Abbas left me speechless because I absolutely loved the commitment he has shown & also the way he has been acting throughout; a father who is frustrated & expects his son to at least do something to put his heart to ease, incredible. Asma Abbas on the other hand as a devoted housewife & a mother is another treat to watch, her minute expressions, body language & Punjabi accent make it all seem quite organic, which is worth appreciating.

The episode definitely started on a note which covered the disappointment a father faced when he found out that his son had lied to him. For someone who is so keen on education & ethics, it definitely was hard for him to accept that Farhad could just so easily manipulate a situation like that & lie to his face. I liked how the writer changed the perspective within this episode where Farhad was later getting appreciated for his sincerity towards work & for being responsible.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 2 Story Review - A Misunderstanding

Mahi & Farhad’s interactions were definitely nice but I must say, Feroze Khan, is definitely in the lead now. I feel I have seen Iqra Aziz perform exactly like this in a lot of dramas therefore it seems like she is not bringing something new or exciting to the table at the moment. Iqra definitely is doing what her character demands & is absolutely doing justice to it but I feel there will come a stage in the drama where she will actually get to wow the viewers with her performance. Right now, Mahi is fun to watch but can be borderline OTT. Feroze Khan has owned Farhad like this character was made for him & he is leaving no room for doubt. All of his antics & expressions, his body language that changes with the situation that he is faced with were definitely a treat to watch.

Another interesting encounter was at a Mazaar where a new character made an entry. I will however say that Hina Bayat’s heavy accent when received with plain Urdu by Noor ul Hassan took away the charm from that scene. I loved the way Hina Bayat looked & spoke & that scene alone made me feel that Noor ul Hassan should’ve also worked on his accent by making it more raw & organic so that his dialogues could also have that charm. Hina Bayat’s scene was short but it was impactful, she is definitely going to be an interesting character for sure.

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat established the connection between Farhad & Mahi, whatever happened wasn’t something unique or new but it was nice to see both of them sharing the screen & just being around each other. I think we’ll have to deal with Iqra Aziz’s fluctuating hairstyles in a few scenes here & there. Also, there was a conversation about Rida’s mehndi but in the scene where she spoke to her fiance on the phone, the mehndi was missing or maybe it must’ve faded away because it was later explained that the Mehndi function was in the 3 days. These minute issues should’ve been handled by the actors at least but on the whole, in those scenes where it actually matters, a lot of attention to detail has been paid to the visual appeal of the drama.

Sound Direction

It was definitely an enjoyable episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat & I had a great time watching it. What makes it more interesting is that there are still so many characters that are going to be introduced. It definitely is going to be a long journey but would be worth the watch. The direction & production value of this drama is sound. All the actors are right in their element & have taken their performances to another level by keeping it absolutely real. Iqra Aziz, I must say looks stunning in this drama & throughout the episode her makeup & dresses were amazing. Feroze Khan was the star of this episode as well but Waseem Abbas takes the cake. Hina Bayat, Sunita Marshal, Asma Abbas, Noor ul Hassan and all the supporting actors too are contributing in making this drama a treat to watch. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 19 Story Review – Underwhelming

Ohkay so, this was yet another slow episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 with a few buckets that were filled with tears. I am not sure whether Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 is a drama or a trauma. However, before saying anything, I just want to thank Naheed’s parents from the bottom of my heart for their decision of getting their daughter married – it brings some kind of relief to me because then there will be minus 1 set of eyes shedding tears for Farhad. Apart from a few conversations here & there, this episode practically had nothing much to offer. Another week passed by & I was left wondering whether there is anything substantial to the story or not?

Trauma In The Name of Drama

Mahi is definitely getting used to the idea of being a mother figure to Sikandar’s children. Although she is not doing this deliberately but because she actually has nothing much to do, she has found some sort of meaning to her life, even if it means taking care of those children. It is nice that even Sikandar’s kids have gotten attached to Mahi because at least this is what keeps her busy. I can totally see where this is going to go because once Mahi will decide to go back, she will find it difficult because the kids won’t allow that & then the conversation about her & Sikandar’s marriage will start.

Sikandar has lost his motivation, he is in a mental block but excuse me for being too blunt here, the pep-talk his servant gave to him about going to Romana’s mehfil to find that lost motivation, his purpose of life was a bit too much to digest. I think the writer has taken it a bit too far, putting a woman like Romana on such a pedestal to show that men like Sikandar need them in their lives to keep themselves going. There were so many other ways through which the concerned servant could’ve shown Sikandar a brighter side of the picture but to make it all about visiting Romana to find the peace he is looking for did not sit well with me. Although I have said this before & I will say that again, I do like the way Romana’s character has been written & the kind of personality she has, also the level of respect she has for Sikandar but I think that was enough to establish her position in Sikandar’s life.

A bit of insight was given into Farhad’s family & how they were going about their lives. Farhad’s father is just not himself anymore, his mother is not in her senses & Fari can’t help but sympathize with her parents. Honestly speaking, hearing Fari giving all these details to Naheed made me wonder why was she stating the obvious to her because as far as I know, Naheed has not left Farhad’s place since the news of his death surfaced, so it made it look like Fari was just rambling because everything that she was saying was already known by Naheed. At this point, these kinds of conversations kind of take away from the seriousness of the story because it shows that the director has purely relied on the dialogues to do to the talking, instead of relying more on the visual impact. It also highlights the lack of depth in the story because of which such superficial scenes have been shot to convey to the viewers what the characters are going through. It is unfortunate but at this stage of the drama, I fail to connect with any of these characters & like I have said before, I feel the focus on commercialism & larger-than-life portrayal has created that barrier between the audience & the characters that you just watch them perform without feeling any emotion for them.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 19 Story Review - Underwhelming

Mahi’s mother-in-law continues to be toxic & she has made it quite clear that she can not tolerate Mahi’s presence. I don’t really understand why she bothered & wanted Mahi to stay when all she had to do was show her what a typical saas she was going to be. Sikandar is obviously going to start noticing all the things Mahi will do for his children & which will make him think about the possibility of marrying Mahi for the sake of his kids.

I think all Farhad did in this episode was eat a packet of rice. Oh yes, Romana couldn’t stop thinking about him. Another dialogue that made me roll my eyes was Chanda told Romana to use Niqaab in order to prevent herself from Nazar. I definitely expected better from Hashim Nadeem & never expected that he would reduce the purpose of Hijab & Niqaab to this in any of his scripts. The way Hijab has been used & dealt with in this drama is nothing but a joke, which is quite disappointing. The conversation Romana had with one of the visitors once again seemed out of the blue, at this point I don’t think as a viewer we have gotten enough insight into Romana’s character to sympathize with her because of all the taunts related to Sikandar that she had to endure. Although Tooba Siddique performed brilliantly in that scene to show that Romana was deeply affected & also offended at all the things he said but there isn’t much emotional connection to feel it myself as a viewer!

Underwhelming & Far-Fetched

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 offered absolutely nothing. The preview however did seem promising but with the slow pace of the drama, I am not sure whether Farhad will come across Mahi next Thursday or not. I think it will take him at least 10 Thursdays to get noticed by Mahi but let’s see, it might be a miracle since everything about Farhad is miraculous as per the writer & also the dervish. Tooba Siddique has acted well & she looked stunning throughout the episode. At this point, I can only say that I had a lot of expectations from this drama but it fails to meet any of my expectations. I am definitely going to watch it till the end but overall, I am underwhelmed & definitely feel the writer tried to push a lot of wrong ideas in this script. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 17 Story Review – Convincing Performances

Ohkay so, this episode covered the days right after Taimoor’s death. In all honesty, he was one such character whose death should be mourned & the way it was conveyed seemed perfectly justified. All the emotions, all the reactions, the performances breathed life into what the characters were feeling after losing Taimoor. His family as well as Mahi’s family were deeply affected & they all had a very different approach to it but the underlying emotion was the same; sadness & grief.

Flawless Performances

Hina Bayat deserves special mention for doing complete justice to her role as Taimoor’s mother. Each & every frame that captured her emotion was heart-wrenching & that was only possible because of the sincerity she poured into her performance. I felt connected to her pain, her depression & the void in her soul that she was feeling after losing her son. She knows that Mahi is not responsible for what has happened but it is a bitter truth that every time she looks at Mahi, she is reminded of the reasons why Taimoor was taken away from her, that is why she can’t help but feel a bit of resentment towards her daughter in law as well. Although Mahi has not given her any reason to feel that way but the way she reacted went to show that Taimoor’s mother herself was not in the right state of mind. She can not be blamed for behaving this way because she is incapacitated & doesn’t know how to react.

Mahi has lost it all, she has lost her husband, the man she felt would protect & secure her. The man whose idea of being her life partner made her happy, therefore she knew there was absolutely nothing that would change if she stays here or goes back. She decided to stay at Taimoor’s house because she understands that this is what life has chosen for her & there is no turning back so there is absolutely no reason for her to turn a blind eye to it thinking it will change something if she goes back with her family. Mahi realizes this is her pain, this is punishment & she has to bear the burden of it.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 17 Story Review - Convincing Performances

Farhad reappeared & guess what, no surprises there, in a spur of a moment, he earned himself yet another female fan; yes you guessed it right – Romana. The setting in which Farhad came across Romana was unusual, still, she found something special & different in him. As much as I would like to believe that incidents like these do happen, the fact that everyone around Farhad falls in love with him seems a bit too stretched now. It wouldn’t have changed anything if Romana hadn’t reacted the way she did, where she couldn’t take Farhad out of her mind. The entire misunderstanding & the way it was directed made it a tad bit prolonged & unrealistic, maybe Munazzah Arif didn’t act the way she should have in order to make her ordeal look believable.

This is just the beginning of the toughest phase of Mahi’s life & right from this moment, she has started to hear all sorts of things. As much as Mahi might not pay heed to what the people around her are going to say, there is no guarantee that Taimoor’s mother will not notice & start finding her reasoning in these insinuations. In this entire episode, I will once again say that the highlight was Hina Bayat & her flawless performance. Iqra Aziz was phenomenal as well & each & every emotion was conveyed with so much clarity that it actually made me feel for Mahi a lot.

Convincing Direction

There is no denying the fact that Khuda Aur Mohabbat is a well-directed drama. This episode was perfectly executed too & with such strong direction, I don’t think the editors need to rely so much on the background music & never-ending alaaps. In this episode, it got to the point where instead of adding more depth to the scene, the alaaps were being a major distraction – so much so that I had to lower the volume. I am strictly against the ‘rabbaaaaa’ & the ‘aaaaaaa’ alaaps especially in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice because it just gets to me. I really hope in the episodes to come when the story will shift from the grief, I won’t get to hear these awfully repetitive alaaps. Apart from that, a few scenes sounded fakely dubbed, especially the ones shot on the train & the one where Mahi tells her mother-in-law that she is not going anywhere. It seems in Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, the uniform for traveling on the train is Abaya & Hijab – I know the director was callous in tackling this aspect of the story but the way Hijab & Abaya has been used in this drama is quite negligent of what the true essence of parda is. It seems only when the females have to travel via train, they pick Abayas thinking this is the suitable attire for it.

Anyways, the last scene of this episode was my favorite. The way Mahi thoroughly goes through Taimoor’s belongings, with his entire wardrobe still having the feel to if as if all of it is still is in his use. At that moment I felt she will now get to know him through his absence, with stories that she will get to hear about him from his family. That scene was actually quite moving & then, in the end, Mahi figuring out what this relationship meant to Taimoor, what she meant to him – it was definitely conveyed beautifully. The star of this episode was definitely Hina Bayat & Iqra Aziz gave a convincing performance as well. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 16 Story Review – The Tragedy

Ohkay so, it was an emotional episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat. I felt that way because Taimoor was probably my only favorite character from the drama & knowing that he won’t be a part of the remaining episodes kind of makes me sad. This episode had a lot of deja vu vibes because I felt Noora & Fakira have ran towards Shah Sahib & his wife in a similar manner before. The reactions were also the same but this time around, it was their own family member that passed away.

The Tragic Death of Taimoor

The wedding sequence was once again a highlight of the episode because of how thoroughly everything was shown & how nicely it was directed. Then came the tragedy. I will definitely give credit to the director for showing what actually happened without making it too graphic. I think that was a very wise decision where they did not show Taimoor in that state but just suggested that he died on the spot after getting shot. The reactions & the slow-mo were done nicely for sure & indeed it was tragic because the way it was shot added more to it.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 16 Story Review - The Tragedy

I did not expect but at least Kazim Shah acknowledged the fact that it was because of him & his son that Taimoor was no more, that Mahi became a widow even before she could actually experience the bliss of marital life. I wish this also came from Mahi’s brother but he was adamant that because he could not get rid of the enemies, they got a golden chance to do what they did. I will have to say, Nazim Shah is the least impressive character in this entire lot & I really don’t think we’ll ever get to see any redeeming qualities in him. He was surely moved but instead of being worried about Mahi’s future, he surely is thinking about how he should avenge Taimoor’s death because that is eventually going to help him politically too!

Mahi’s reaction after everything unfolded seemed genuine & very very realistic, which made it heart-breaking. She actually was not at fault for rejecting a guy who was no match to her in any regard but unfortunately, she will now live with a burden that because she broke Farhad’s heart, it was his bad-dua that killed Taimoor too, which means she will continue to feel guilty by holding herself responsible. It is sad that the victim herself is going to see Farhad as a victim, which he definitely is not.

The most unimpressive scene in this entire episode was of Dilawar where he in his thoughts once again glorified Farhad that because he loved Mahi truly, his heartbreak took everything away from her. It was absolutely unnecessary & just uncalled for. In this episode, I actually dreaded seeing Farhad’s mother wide awake but I sighed with relief when she did not get a lot of screentime because that once again spared me the misery of her crying, which I absolutely was in no mood for. However, it seems that duty has shifted onto Fariha & Naheed because these girls haven’t had a dry eye since I don’t know how many episodes.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 16 Story Review - The Tragedy

I am glad that Taimoor’s mother at least spoke the truth & said things the way they deserved to be said. She is absolutely right that only because of Nazim & Kazim Shah’s hostility, Taimoor ended up losing his life. I really hope she continues to say that repeatedly because that is the truth. Also, I fail to understand that the family of Nazim Shah has been shown as Peers, but instead, they themselves have created a lot of tension & animosity with others in the vicinity, which kind of makes their family background suspicious & not too straightforward. I feel a lot of detailing has been compromised upon & because the focus was so much on the commercial aspect of the drama-making, the director & even the writer did not bother going into the details. Although it was expected that Taimoor would pass away but, it was kind of unrealistic that both the families were so influential, so they failed to keep any security guards around them, making sure they were secure all the way.

Convincing Performances

This episode was heart-breaking & covered the emotional turmoil convincingly. Going by how slow-paced the drama is, I am not sure whether Farhad will appear in the next episode or not. I will be honest, I find the scenes of Dervish quite repetitive & bizarre. I know he is kept in the story to bring in the element of spirituality but it has gotten mixed up with the unrealistic future predictions. It looks as superficial as if they had kept a palmist making all these predictions because it just doesn’t go well with the actual concept of spirituality & just looks like someone not in his right frame of mind talking about what is going to happen in someone’s life. Once again, the performances were very convincing & for the major part, the direction was decent too. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 15 Story Review – Bucket Full of Tears

Ohkay so, it is unfortunate that despite the massive viewership Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 is getting, the drama makers & the channel thought it was appropriate to show a misleading preview last week which showed the mishap Mahi & Taimoor faced after their Rukhsati. I guess the team themselves knew this episode was going to be a filler, therefore they showed such a preview in order to keep the viewers engaged, making sure they tune to this episode to get disappointed. I don’t know about others but I sure did get disappointed because I was hoping for that major twist in the story but sadly, the non-stop crying of all the supporting characters was quite taxing, to be honest.

A Bucket Full of Tears

I guess all the supporting actors & characters such as Naheed, Sajal, Sajjad, Fariya & Dilawar know they have been cast in the show to cry as much as they like, so because unfortunately there is nothing more to their characters, I will definitely give them credit for doing justice to the duty that has been assigned to them. At this point, I really wish I could have felt their pain but I fail to do so because of how stretched this entire scenario has become & looking at the preview of next week, I am so not in a mood to see more of it because it doesn’t seem to be coming to an end.

The first half, in fact, the major part of this episode was dedicated to Farhad’s family mourning his loss & just not really coming to terms with the reality. In this episode, I am kind of relieved that Farhad’s mother continued to sleep & rest because it spared me another crying fit from her side.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 15 Story Review - Bucket Full of Tears

In the previous seasons, the element of spirituality was so submerged in the story that without any dramatics or theatrics, it just had its special essence to it. In this season however, all those dramatic shots of the shrine & darvesh seem to be doing nothing sadly. I don’t really find any meaning to his scenes because everytime I see him, I wonder does he show this kind of bewilderness for everyone that he comes across or is it just dedicated to Taimoor & his family because they happen to be the important characters of the story? I am sure the dervish meets a lot of people on a daily basis so does he get to predict everyone’s future with so much precision every single time? There were so many ways of adding & justifying the touch of spirituality but in this season, it just seems to have been added for the dramatics & nothing else.

Sikandar’s mother definitely isn’t oblivious of his activities. She knows about Romana a bit too well but she chooses not to speak about her directly. However, Sikandar doesn’t seem threatened with it because even after that conversation, he was in touch with Romana. He definitely doesn’t come across as a submissive person therefore it looks he is in no mood of cutting ties with her.

Mahi was aloof & she absolutely couldn’t take her mind off Farhad. She feels guilty & no matter what others said, she just couldn’t stop feeling that way. Anyways, the big day was finally here & it was really nice to see how happy & excited Taimoor was. In such a grim & sad episode, it was nice to see a happy face among such sad faces. I so wish they had given some more coverage to his character but sadly, in the middle of so many crying & sad supporting characters, his happy-go-lucky character didn’t get a chance that he deserved.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 15 Story Review - Bucket Full of Tears

Great Camerawork

The only good thing about this episode was that the director took his sweet time in showing all the wedding festivities in an elaborate manner. This is what big fat weddings look like & it was nice to see it all. The camera work during the wedding scenes was really nice. I really wish they had gotten a bit more space in Gulzar Palace because the staircase is now looking monotonous now because all the conversations the members of Mahi’s family have happen on that one particular staircase, so much so that she even had her Nikkah right in front of that staircase too. Anyways, the director really made sure to make the most of the beautiful location & the beautiful exterior of Gulzar Palace because those aerial shots were nice to see & so were all the wedding festivities.

Once again, I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that the women of Peer-zada’s weren’t observing Hijab. In the initial episode, Noora made sure everyone knew that they weren’t allowed to look at the women but this time around he was mingling a bit too well too. Sunita Marshal has looked stunning throughout the drama but this particular makeup look of hers was definitely not the best. I must say Iqra Aziz has not looked this gorgeous in any of her dramas before. She was simply gorgeous & the choice of outfit was stunning too. It is unfortunate that this episode turned out to be a filler but the only thing that compensated was the wedding sequence during the second half of the episode because I wasn’t really happy while watching the first half honestly. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 14 Story Review – Misery Continues

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat practically had nothing to offer except the fact that it was an elaboration of the misery inflicted on all those who were mourning the loss of Farhad. At this point, I am not too sure of what to feel about the pacing of the drama because each passing episode turns out to be slower than the previous one. The preview of the next episode did excite me because Mahi’s life is about to change but then it makes me wonder how long her misery will be prolonged & stretched? As much as the performances of all the actors are convincing, I fail to form a connection with them & this has probably not happened before but when it comes to Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, I do enjoy watching the actors & their performances but when it comes to the characters, there’s not much to take away.

& The Mourning Continues

In this episode, even Rida was seen blaming herself for everything that Farhad went through. As much as I do understand why Mahi is feeling this way, I really wish she was not made to go through this because she is not at fault, to begin with. Farhad was the one who really misconstrued the whole situation. I really feel like this is all that I get to think & feel when I watch the episodes of Khuda Aur Mohabbat because it is unfortunate that the director failed to justify the intense feelings Farhad developed for Mahi. Considering how the director has taken his sweet time in elaborating each & every detail & emotion related to Farhad felt by all the characters, it is sad that he did not make the most of this relationship to at least allow it to look justifiable as to how & why Farhad reacted the way he did. Mahi is going to suffer for something she wasn’t even responsible for.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 14 Story Review - Misery Continues

In this episode, Sahiba was seen giving Mahi the pep-talk & reminding her of all the burdens she carried on her shoulders & all the labels that were attached to her just because she belonged to this family, which again brings me to my point that why wasn’t this sort of conversation shown between Sahiba & Mahi when they both were in Lahore & Sahiba could see Mahi behaving recklessly. The start of the drama now seems a lot shakier because it makes me wonder about all the golden opportunities lost which otherwise would’ve helped in creating the impact & to add depth to the story. There is no denying the fact that the production value & the association of star cast is what is turning out to be the success factors for Khuda Aur Mohabbat but when it comes to the storytelling, there are a lot of flaws.

Farhad’s family is devastated, his mother, his sister, his brother & now even his father feels hurt because of the way he treated Farhad. Those scenes were definitely quite emotional but seemed a bit too prolonged to keep me engaged. Dilawar is the only person who is acting as a support system to Farhad’s family because he is also deeply affected by what has happened to him.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 14 Story Review - Misery Continues

In this entire episode, the only interaction I found interesting was between Sikandar & Romana. It seems Sikandar’s mother was aware of his activities & after he lost his wife, she allowed Sikandar to have things his way. The conversation where Romana explained everything that Sikandar went through & how he went about his life was conveyed beautifully. I also found the element of respect between Sikandar & Romana quite endearing. She truly looks up to him & is deeply in love with him. Sikandar also feels that way but he is well aware of the background Romana comes from & the kind of values his mother holds, therefore he has not really made any promises. The fact that Romana knows that he only comes there to divert his mind also showed the level of understanding she has when it comes to Sikandar & his affairs. It is interesting how this sidetrack is turning out to have the potential of being a lot more engaging than what it seemed in the previous episode.

Looking Forward To The Next Episode

The preview of the next episode suggested that Farhad’s bad-dua will be materialized & Taimoor will die. I will say that Mirza Zain Baig is such an amazing actor, it would be so nice if he gets substantial roles in dramas. I remember the character of Saim also passed away in Meer Abru & now in Khuda Aur Mohabbat Taimoor, played by him is also not going to make it. Sad because he has the kind of screen presence that as a viewer, you enjoy watching his character on screen. Mahi already seemed numb & with all of this happening, she would know that Farhad was actually hurt!?!?! Once again, the more I feel for Mahi, the more I find Farhad unreasonable, only because the director did not go into detail while establishing their relationship. Mahi will now live with the guilt that she turned Farhad away & because of her Taimoor also passed away. Sad & uncalled for. Anyways, all the characters deserve full points for giving convincing performances, I just wish the pacing of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 wasn’t this slow. I must say, Sunita Marshal & Tooba Siddique looked stunning in this episode & the entire Mehndi setup was grand & beautiful. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 13 Story Review – The Bad News

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat covered the misunderstanding everyone had which led them to believe that Farhad had passed away. All the actors deserve full points for being true to their craft & for portraying these characters & their emotions with so much clarity & beauty. It was definitely an emotional episode & what breathed life into it were the convincing performances by all the actors.

The News

The policeman called & let Dilawar know that the dead body they had found met an accident but the moment Noora came to break the news to Nazim & Kazim Shah, he added another theory to it saying Farhad was murdered. Nazim Shah’s obsession with his unseen ‘mukhalifeen’ made me roll my eyes. I really feel the director should’ve introduced these scenarios, some of these characters too just to make it all look real & not something that Nazim daydreams about. Anyhow, he tried to use it to his advantage but considering how they have spoken about it time & again that the servants continue to lose their lives in order to protect the men of this household, their reactions seemed a little far stretched. However, the coldness & aloofness which both Noora & Nazim showed while dealing with Farhad’s death clearly showed that everything Dilawar said to him was true. They were definitely not the kind of masters who deserved sincerity, loyalty & the sense of losing one’s life in order to protect them. It also seemed as if Noora also noticed & kind of got agitated with the reaction of Dilawar feeling it was going to be hard taking care of him & controlling his emotions.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 13 Story Review - The Bad News

Dilawar was deeply affected by the news of Farhad’s death. It was because out of all the people, he was the only one who connected to him on a deeper level & also because he related to the pain Farhad was carrying in his heart. Dilawar knew exactly why Farhad had come to Bhawalpur & what was it that was snatching away his peace, but yes, for it to cost him his life was something Dilawar never imagined & this is why he was shattered.

Apart from Dilawar, Sajal, Fakira, Nisar & even Rida were broken after they found out that Farhad was no more. Sajal & Fakira couldn’t really show it to anyone therefore it was hard for them to make it seem like they were doing alright but deep down they were grieving. Rida has absolutely no idea why Farhad went there, but it seems like she is going to find it in the next episode. It will definitely be interesting to see what her reaction would be.

Mahi did not take this news well, obviously because she is the only person who knows what happened between them & the last things Farhad had heard from Mahi directly. She felt burdened, guilty & she just wasn’t herself anymore. Mahi’s sister-in-law Sahiba does understand what she is going through but she has not witnessed the hurtful things Mahi had said to Farhad, therefore she fails to even understand what Mahi is feeling while recalling her harsh words. It was interesting to note how everything around Mahi was unfolding at a regular pace but she on her own was numb as if something inside her had died.

The reaction of Farhad’s family members was quite emotional too. His brother was right in holding Nisar accountable because they had trusted & sent Farhad away to Bhawalpur. Naheed was emotional but the actress failed to add that depth to her emotions & seemed a bit too stiff while performing those scenes.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 13 Story Review - The Bad News

Convincing Performances

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 was slow but emotional. It is now given that they are going to tackle one situation per episode & that kind of makes this drama a bit too slow for my liking. Anyhow, I am glad that the episode ended with Romana’s entry. Sikandar was definitely keeping a secret & this was the reason why he stalled getting married for this long. I feel they created the vibe nicely but Muzznah Arif should’ve sported Siraki accent instead of such a proper Urdu one because they all happen to be in Multan & not in Karachi. Tooba Siddique’s first look was quite impressive too, she looks stunning & I am glad there is going to another character to explore because so far the ones that have been a part of the initial story haven’t offered much in terms of personality or insight. Full marks to everyone for convincing performances. I am looking forward to the next episode in a hope that they do not prolong it any further & move the story to the next phase, but it seems we’ll have to do with the guilt & grief for a bit long. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 12 Story Review – Self Inflicted Misery

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat was dedicated entirely to the meeting that took place between Mahi & Farhad. I will be honest the slow pace of the drama is forcing me to focus on things that do not matter & also gives me plenty of time to think about how the characters have not been etched out properly because even after so many episodes, I fail to feel connected to them. The director definitely deserves the credit for making Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 a visual treat, each & every frame is worth watching but when it comes to the characters & story development, he hasn’t done justice to it. It makes me think that direction is the actual reason why the characters & overall story & scenarios aren’t making such an impact as they did in the previous seasons, considering it is coming from the same writer who has written more or less similar story!

Self Inflicted Misery

Mahi decided to meet Farhad finally & he once again misconstrued the actual reason what made her come & see him. Before getting into their meeting, let me just get out of the way of how sad-looking that library was. Although it was suggested repeatedly that no one actually visited the library apart from Mahi but like her mother said, she continues to dig for treasures there? If that was the case & she was passionate about books, this library wouldn’t have been in such a sorry state. Anyways, once again the director used the element from the previous seasons because the library was the place where Hammad & Imaan met therefore Farhad & Mahi had to meet there too.

Farhad assumed that Mahi was finally moved by the feelings he had for her therefore she came all the way to meet him but then Mahi decided to burst the bubble. It was also quite obvious that Mahi magnified everything & said all those hurtful things to put the point across because she too realizes how stubborn Farhad is. She did feel guilty that she was being a bit too rude & arrogant in dealing with him but then again, Iqra Aziz made it clear that Mahi just wanted to get rid of him & did not have anything in her heart for him. Honestly speaking, all the things Mahi said made sense & although it might have made her look a bit negative but, I did not see that happening. Mahi was making sense & just wanted to make it clear to Farhad that he stood no chance.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 12 Story Review - Self Inflicted Misery

Farhad’s reaction to everything that Mahi said was pretty wrong. It kind of took me back to how humble, polite & respectful Hammad was towards Imaan. However, here we have Farhad, who literally grabbed Mahi crossed the line of decency. The way he started speaking to her casually was another thing that I found off-putting because he sounded a bit too casual as if he was actually talking to his girlfriend, which Mahi was not. I fail to see the sense of respect Farhad should have had towards Mahi, the girl he loves so much. At this point, everything that Farhad is feeling seems like a self-inflicted misery & nothing else. He is entitled to love her but to literally push her to feel the same way makes him look irrational.

The only thing I agree upon with Farhad is the comment he made on Mahi’s parda & hijab, because right from the moment Mahi came to meet Farhad, I couldn’t help but notice the absence of parda observed by Mahi. I have said it before & I will say that again, this is one important aspect that has been dealt with just so callously in Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 that it actually makes me upset. If the director had omitted the entire hijab from Mahi’s attire, it wouldn’t have made any difference & the audience wouldn’t have said anything. For a girl who observes hijab, it was a bit too much to just show up in front of Farhad dressed to the nines, looking absolutely stunning. It is obvious that the director has tried to make the most of how gorgeous Iqra Aziz looks in this drama but it deprives me of taking her or her character seriously. So yes, out of all the things that Farhad said, this one made the most sense & the rest of it just did not really strike a chord.

Now, coming to the bad-dua, Farhad should not have done it. When you love someone, no matter what happens you can never wish ill upon that person for something as basic as them not reciprocating your feelings but because Farhad is so tunnel-visioned & thinks the entire universe revolves around him, he had to say that to Mahi to rip her off the happiness she deserved to have witnessed while starting the new chapter of her life with a man who is best suited for her. I really feel Farhad’s financial background & the kind of personality he had wouldn’t have stuck out like a sore thumb if he had been a bit more humble & polite in approaching Mahi & showing her the love he had for him. This stubborn behavior makes him look like those guys the girls tell on to their cousins & in the end, they get nudged, shoved, pushed, slapped, kicked & are shooed away. This is exactly the kind of category Farhad falls in but once again, because Feroze Khan has played this character so convincingly, he is making Farhad a bit tolerable, despite the fact that his antics, his character & personality traits are off-putting.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 12 Story Review - Self Inflicted Misery

A Visual Treat & That’s About It

The director deserves full points for making Khuda Aur Mohabbat a visual treat, making all the actors look absolutely glamorous & gorgeous. These aspects of the drama definitely make it a decent watch but when it comes to the story, the essence is lost, the characters lack those qualities which would make me warm up to them. I wish there was more to Mahi’s brother other than hopping in & out of his cars threatening & rejoicing over shooing his enemies away. I wish there was more to Sahiba than just hovering around Mahi like she has zero life of her own. I really wonder if there has been a single conversation that has taken place between Mahi’s brother & sister in law? The characters seem too superficial & that is only because the director was too focused on the glamorous & commercial side of the drama-making. Although the drama makers are lucky that such strong actors decided to be a part of this project because it is only due to their convincing performance that is a reason enough to tune to this drama. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 11 – Story Review

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat practically offered nothing apart from furthering into what Farhad was going through & how severe the pain of heartbreak for him was. It is interesting to note that all of a sudden, the director wants the viewers to feel for Farhad whereas the intensity of his love has not really been justified as such. At this stage, it is hard to take Farhad seriously because he is coming across as a stubborn boy who fails to understand that Mahi is just not into him. If we go by the fact that Farhad is the central character, then all of this can be accepted but as a viewer, I really feel the director failed in convincing me to feel for Farhad & connect with his character as I would’ve liked to.

Farhad’s Heartbreak & Reactions

This episode was all about Farhad and how the people around him were perceiving him & his emotions. Sajal also decided to confess, that the entire scene was acted brilliantly by both Shameen Khan & Feroze Khan. If Farhad had thought things through, he would’ve seen himself in Sajal, a girl involved in one-sided love, with him having absolutely nothing to offer to her in return. This is exactly what Farhad’s current condition is like. Although the way he treated her with kindness & respect was really sweet. He understood where she was coming from but did not take a moment before letting her know that he was just not the one for her. It was interesting how Sajal assumed that Farhad was also interested in her, she tried to use it as an excuse, to plead her case but soon enough she found out that it was once again a misapprehension on her part.

Dilawar finally let Farhad know that he had found out about his love for Mahi. I do understand that the writer tried to add a lot of depth into the situation & because the story revolves around Farhad, Dilawar kept on praising him, but at one point, I found it a bit too forced. I do get it, everyone around Farhad is a bit too impressed by him but considering how slow the pace of the drama overall is, these conversations end up looking a bit prolonged to keep my interest intact in a scene.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 11 - Story Review

Fakira was another person pleading Farhad’s case & I guess she is the first person to say to Mahi’s face that she is kind of responsible for initiating this. I am not sure how I feel about this because all of a sudden it looks like everyone around Mahi is trying to guilt-trip her for something she thought wasn’t such a big deal. Mahi’s conversation with Sahiba was also misleading where she kind of accepted that just because she was outside the vicinity of her home, she thought crossing the limits wasn’t going to cost her anything!?! This is just a simple, harmless friendship that we are seeing right from the beginning & now it seems the writer is just trying to use it to strengthen Farhad’s case, trying really hard to justify that Farhad was right in thinking this equation with Mahi had a future & this could turn into something long-lasting. I really feel the director should’ve invested more time in developing the feelings of Farhad for Mahi organically because right now it makes his character look irrational & kind of tunnel-visioned that just because a girl smiled & spoke to him frankly, he thought this was a reason enough to literally pressurize her into believing that this was love!

A Filler Episode

This episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat can definitely be termed as a filler. Although there wasn’t much that happened in terms of development of the story but one thing remains consistent & that is the performances of all the actors. They surely have breathed life into these characters but because the storyline isn’t as powerful as it should’ve been, I am finding it hard to take the characters & their reactions seriously. It is sad that the writer Hashim Nadeem has literally tried to stretch a story on the basis of a misunderstanding & that definitely takes away the charm this love story otherwise could’ve had. Anyhow, I am glad that the director is taking the time to develop Mahi’s feelings, slowly but surely it is happening & I can see that she is unable to stop thinking about Farhad, this is why Mahi was startled when she received Taimoor’s call & instead of being happy, she was pre-occupied & found it burdensome to talk to him while thinking about someone else. Iqra Aziz has definitely given a lot of clarity to Mahi’s character & her emotions, I really wish that the writer has etched out her character a bit more & I will get to see that in the remaining episodes. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 10 Story Review – Farhad’s Predicament

Ohkay so, this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat was all about Farhad’s predicament & how he was feeling. It is interesting to note how everything has become all about him where people around Farhad are feeling for him & even those who shouldn’t be too concerned also can’t help thinking about what he is going through.

Farhad’s Predicament

Honestly speaking, as much as I know that this story is based on Farhad’s love for Mahi, but I can’t help but root for Taimoor & Mahi a lot. Not only because Taimoor is a perfect match for Mahi but also because she seems happy & excited about this engagement as well. Farhad in this case definitely is the protagonist of the drama, but still, when it comes to his character, this one-sided intense love is not that convincing, as it should have been – part of it is because it started off on a basis of a misunderstanding which he is now adamant to pursue that too when he has heard it from Mahi himself that it was nothing to be mistaken about to begin with. Feroze Khan has absolutely left no stone unturned in adding so much depth & intensity into Farhad’s character & doing complete justice with his emotions but when it comes to the execution, it hasn’t really done much for the character of Farhad because all of this is now coming across as very much forced & one-sided.

Taimoor met Mahi’s entire family & left a great impression. It was nice to see Mahi honestly admitting why she was happy about finding a partner like him who was so progressive & shared similar interests as her. I know it will sound quite repetitive but seeing how callously they have dealt with the parda angle ticks me off. Mahi’s sister-in-law Sahiba was seen without any parda, handing over Mahi’s phone number to Taimoor, that too when her husband was standing right there. These moments definitely look cute but considering the kind of introduction this family has gotten with the men being so staunch & conservative, one can’t help but think about these issues a bit!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 10 Story Review - Farhad's Predicament

All of a sudden, Fakira has developed a soft corner for Farhad too. I think in reality, anyone would be annoyed with how irrational Farhad has been behaving but instead Fakira couldn’t help shed a tear or two. This would’ve looked convincing if Farhad ever stood a chance with Mahi but that definitely isn’t the case. Fakira does feel a lot for Farhad & it is nice that at least there is someone who can see what he is going through. Dilawar also overheard everything but now it is left to be seen whether he will keep this a secret & be a true friend to Farhad or he will tell on him & create trouble for him further. It does look like Dilawar will not do anything to make it tough for Farhad because over this period of time, he has actually started seeing him as his true friend & it seems he is going to help Farhad because he has been through this situation himself.

The Glamour Takes Away The Depth In The Situation

The preview of the next episode once again suggested that everyone will be vouching for Farhad & putting ideas into Mahi’s head that she should see Farhad & tell him to go herself. It seems Sahiba is pleading Farhad’s case indirectly too because she yet again is going to ask Mahi whether this is only due to guilt or she has something else going on in her mind. I really feel the director has kept the pace quite slow but he should’ve taken the time to establish why & how did everyone start feeling so passionately about Farhad? It is definitely hard to see people belonging to such an influential background taking a random guy like Farhad so seriously because in reality, he would’ve been nothing but a nuisance to them all?

Feroze Khan definitely deserves full points for the strong & convincing portrayal of this character but I feel the lack of depth in the script & as well as the direction has taken away the charm this character could have. I feel the director really focused hard on the glamour side of the execution that he kind of missed creating the depth & layers these characters, their situations & their equations deserved. However, one thing is for sure that Khuda Aur Mohabbat does make a very nice drama to tune to, provided you don’t really have much expectations & just take it as it comes. Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 1 Story Review – Fantastic

Ohkay so, the writing of Hashim Nadeem Khan, the direction of Syed Wajahat Hussain & production of 7th Sky Entertainment; Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, a highly anticipated drama of recent times began last night. The very first episode made it obvious that this season is going to be very different from the previous seasons, however, it will have a few elements that are going to be similar, serving as a reminder of the love story the viewers have seen & loved in the first two seasons of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

I will be completely honest, right at the beginning, I expected to see some more similarities, hoping this is what is going to link the third season to the previous two, making it stay true to the essence & theme, but as the episode progressed, I realized I am only going to get a few elements & that is completely fine. The first episode made it very obvious that this season of Khuda Aur Mohabbat is going to have its own identity, its own story & the characters are going to have their own personality. The first episode was definitely impressive & made me feel it’s the kind of drama that is going to be quite enjoyable to watch. Another thing that was worth noticing was how both Farhad & Mahi had very different personalities to Hammad & Iman that the viewers have loved. I kind of feel the writer made their characters very normal & relatable so that when they both will embark on the journey of self-discovery when life will put them through trials & tribulations, their transformation will have a lot more impact.

The Cast & Characters

The first episode covered the life of Farhad (Feroze Khan) in a lot of detail. He belongs to a lower-middle-class family but has big dreams & aspirations. So far he hasn’t really figured out the purpose of his life & only has a vague idea that he wants to make it big. This attitude of Farhad is exactly the reason why he has a strained relationship with his father, however, his brother Sajjad is the ideal son & compensates a lot by fulfilling his father’s wishes. Farhad’s father Taufeeq (Waseem Abbas) is a clerk, his mother Surraiya Bibi (Asma Abbas) is a housewife, his brother Sajjad (Fawad Jalal) is going to be a civil officer & sister Fareeha (Hira Soomro) is a college student. Farhad has been struggling to complete his B. A & it seems he is going to flunk this year too!

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 1 Story Review - Fantastic

Mahi (Iqra Aziz) comes from an affluent family. At the moment she has come to Lahore to attend her best friend Rida’s (Meherbano) wedding. Mahi’s sister in law Sahiba (Sunita Marshall) is accompanying her. Mahi’s father Kazim Shah (Usman Peerzada) resides in Bhawalpur & runs his business there. So far, the impression Mahi has given is that she has had a smooth life & probably because she is the youngest in the family, she has been pampered to an extent where she likes to be in control of everything & enjoys being authoritative.

On the other hand, there is Taimoor Shah (Mirza Zain Baig) who also comes from an affluent family. His brother Sikandar (Junaid Khan) is a feudal lord & that’s all that has been revealed about him. However, Taimoor has a very philosophical lookout on life & his encounter with a Dervish (Noor ul Hassan) was one of the most interesting moments of this episode which defined what he is going to experience in the near future. Taimoor has already had an interaction with Mahi & it seems he is keeping tabs on her because he certainly has developed strong feelings for her.

The Story

The story was established strongly & all the moments that covered the life happenings of Farhad were done really well. On Mahi’s front, I did feel things could’ve toned down but it somehow was a well-balanced contrast with things being so normal & mellow in Farhad’s life but happening in Mahi’s. In the very first episode, Feroze Khan definitely stood out a lot & captured my interest as a viewer. He fitted the character of Farhad effortlessly. Iqra Aziz was cute too but all this while, I was reminded of all of her previous dramas in which she has done more or less similar kinds of roles & acting.

The first episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat gave it the kind of opening that I as a viewer expected. It was not only well directed but every frame had its own story to tell. It showed that a lot of effort went into creating this cinematic experience for the viewers & it actually contributed a lot in making an impact & keeping me engaged. The aerial views were beyond impressive & it showed that this drama has been approached artistically by the director. Another thing I liked was how there was a comic element in most of the scenes because things are going to get too dense & grave as the story will progress, so to kick off on a lighter note was a good move. The fact that the story has so many characters also made the episode seem fast-paced because a lot was happening & there was so much to absorb.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 Episode 1 Story Review - Fantastic

The only thing that went unexplained was the attire of Mahi when she traveled. I thought they were going to bring in that element from the previous seasons where Mahi is going to observe Hijab but as the episode progressed, that came across as a bit confusing. The niqab went away right when she reached Lahore & after that, she was at her glamorous best. Even when Rida suggested they go out shopping, Mahi dressed to the nines with her short hair whereas, throughout the episode, the focus was on her luscious long locks & elaborate hairstyles. Not only Mahi, her sister-in-law too had a different attire so not sure if they observe Hijab only in Bhawalpur & are allowed to not use it when they’re elsewhere, here’s to hoping that we’re given an explanation about it in the episodes to come.

A Brilliant Start

The first episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat was definitely interesting. It set the mood in such a way that as a viewer, I am keen to find out more about their stories. I want to know these characters & it seems learning more about them is going to be quite interesting. Feroze Khan was definitely the star of the episode & Iqra Aziz played along really well too. It is interesting to note that all those actors who have such a strong screen presence have been cast in Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, which makes it even better. The outlook & makeovers of all the characters are impressive as well. The camerawork, the cinematic visuals, lighting & also the makeovers of all the actors, everything was just brilliantly done & added a lot more charm to the drama watching experience. The first episode definitely was impressive & gave it a perfect start. Can’t wait to watch more. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.

Khud Parast Last Episode Story Review – Complete Ending

Opening Thoughts – Complete Ending:

Ohkay so, the ending of Khud Parast was well-written & well-executed. The fact that they started wrapping the drama up in the previous episodes made it a lot more easier for them to give it a detailed & slow ending, rather than just rushing with everything last minute & that definitely made an impact. When the drama ended, the first thought that I had was ‘bohat acha drama tha’ & I guess this is what our drama-makers should aim for where this is the first thing that the viewers think of, rather than wishing for more or imagining what it would have been like if they had added more details. For me, Khud Parast was a complete drama which had a complete & to-the-point ending.

The Consequences – Both Good & Bad:

Hanan & Beenish got married & right from the beginning Beenish started doing everything that a dutiful wife does for her husband; being with him & extending help & support when she felt he was down. I kind of liked that they didn’t dwell too much into their relationship & the writer didn’t focus on showing to the viewers that Hanan & Beenish were now madly in love with each other. Rather, the writer kept their relationship very simple & reserved, exactly how it should be because it was based on the fact that both Hanan & Beenish needed each other’s support in their lives. I liked seeing that even after marriage, Hanan & Beenish still had a line of decency between them because they both were not only well-aware of each other’s past but also knew the heart break they both had experienced. Hanan & Beenish did get married & they did lead a very good life by emotionally setting down but now they were each other’s life partners, standing by one another through thick & thin by being each other’s support system.

Adeel divorced Uswa & she didn’t even find a place back in her siblings’ lives. Saad refused to welcome her back because he blamed Uswa for Zarina’s death. Maria also was done with her. I think Maria’s reaction was justified, she tried to save her sister from falling into this deep pit but now, she didn’t have anything left to offer to Uswa. It was nice to see Rameez trying to show Maria the other side of the picture but then Maria had made up her mind that she had nothing to do with Uswa.

I think after watching the previous episode, everyone exactly knew what Uswa’s ending & her fate would be. She passed away after a long suffering & she immediately did realize that now everything that she was facing was basically a consequence of her wrongdoings but I wish she had gotten a chance to apologize or at least had done something to find a chance to apologize to both Beenish & Hanan.

Bakhtawar faced her fair share of consequences that is why I kind of felt relieved that Hanan saved her from Nazish. Moeez was thrown out of everyone’s life & I am glad that they didn’t put too much focus on showing his misery – his fate was decided & that was enough for the viewers to know what he was now going to go through.

The last scene of the drama was done well but was very sad. Uswa passed away & Hanan without even knowing contributed to her final rites. At that moment I felt uneasy thinking Hanan might see that it’s Uswa & he will be scarred & disturbed for life but I am glad that he went away without looking at her. He did the right thing by contributing financially out of good-will but then going away was also figurative of how he had moved on. Honestly, he had faced so much of humiliation & was disturbed for so long, that now staying oblivious of Uswa & her death was something that he deserved. The last scene was definitely heart breaking but it was done so so well. Good to see Hanan’s life back on track.

Closing Thoughts – Well Done Team Khud Parast:

Overall, this drama was my favorite & now that it has ended, that hasn’t changed. Yes, the previous few episodes were too slow for my liking but the fact remains that this drama overall was superb & gripping. Everything starting from production value to writing to direction & acting – every thing was spot on. All the characters were important & contributed a great deal in completing the picture. Khud Parast was an intelligent piece of writing where it focused on a bunch of flawed people who were struggling & fighting their battles in their own orbits – some introspected & learned while others faced the consequences of staying blind to their wrongdoings. My favorite aspect of Khud Parast remains to be the dialogues – hands down this drama had some amazing, thought provoking conversations to its credit which were worded so so beautifully. I remember when the drama began I was unhappy with the portrayal of Hijab as a symbol of oppression but I am glad this wasn’t the focus in the rest of the story. It just turned into a struggle of a young immature girl who got married with a wrong perspective & could not accept anything & everything that came her way, even if it was positive. Ramsha Khan & Shehzad Sheikh were the stars of this drama, they both acted brilliantly. Asma Abbas is such an effortless actor & it was a treat seeing her as an authoritative Bakhtawar. All the supporting actors played their parts really really well & made this drama complete. The OST grew on me too & props to the editors for using it at a right time to add more depth to the scenario. This happens to be one of the few OST’s that did not get to me at all due to over-usage. Khud Parast was an amazing drama for sure. Please share your thoughts about this entire journey of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 9 Story Review – So Far So Good

Opening Thoughts – Current Favorite:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was again very interesting & nicely executed. I am glad that the dynamics have changed & the one who was being oppressed has started to retaliate. Khud Parast surely is one of my top favorite dramas to tune to currently because the characters have a strong personality & there is so much to see!

Uswa Is Back:

Uswa & Hanan had a conversation where Hanan wanted Uswa to apologize. He did understand his wife’s perspective too but wanted her to take the route that he knew would guarantee him as well as Uswa some peace of mind. Even though things have not been in her favor but it is nice to see that Uswa wants her marriage to work & she wants to lead a happy life with Hanan that is why she agreed to apologize to Bakhtawar only to make Hanan happy.

It is good that Uswa has started to use her brains but if she really wants to succeed, she should distance herself from her mother because everything that woman says makes no sense whatsoever. Uswa’s mother thinks she knows what Uswa should do but the fact is that she does not know how things actually work in Bakhtawar’s house. Even though Uswa has told so much to her mother but she has not had a personal experience of what things are like in that household to be passing remarks on it or giving advice to Uswa. Bakhtawar has so much control over everything & she is pretty egoistic so for Uswa’s mother to assume that a woman like Bakhtawar would come to take Uswa back on one of her tantrums was quite immature of her!

Uswa’s brother Saad did play a part in making sure that Uswa goes back because obviously he wants his business to work & Moeez’s investment would guarantee that. Uswa did go back but this time with a plan in her mind which was interesting to see. Uswa has understood that Bakhtawar controls the minds of her sons & that is why, she has started to play mind games too. Uswa knows that Hanan is a good human being who trusts what is said to him without analyzing situation himself so she decided to take advantage of that.

Uswa, of all the people, should leave Beenish alone. Yes, she does not agree to Beenish’s approach in leading her life which is alright but the least she can do is taunt or belittle her because Beenish has clearly told her about her situation which is unfavorable. Uswa is still lucky that Hanan is not like Moeez so the least she can do is show some consideration to Beenish & support her emotionally.

Well, the way Uswa made Bakhtawar awkward in front of her guests was interesting to see. Uswa knows that she is taking a risk but now that she has a set plan in her mind, she is executing it brilliantly. She cried buckets in front of Hanan as she has seen that there is some edge to do that & it definitely worked. Hanan forgot about all that Bakhtawar said & focused on what Uswa was put through.

Closing Thoughts – Keeps Getting Better:

Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was very nicely done. It just keeps on getting better & better. The preview of the next episode showed the change in Hanan’s attitude. Bakhtawar now has a competition in her house & it will be interesting to see how she will react. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.
