Syed Muhammad Ali Raza’s Project Ghazi premiered today and it seems that we have another setback for the entertainment industry. While being dubbed as the first Superhero film of the country, expectations were high among the cinema goers. But, it seems that the film fraternity that went to attend the premier today in Nueplex cinema ran even before the intermission.

It is just one review, but many more reviews started to flood in soon after. Seems that the directors and producers of the movie can’t tolerate their efforts turning into a upheaval, this is why they announced that the release has been postponed.

Well, we all know what’s the reason behind this sudden technical work. People were expecting a lot better from the movie, which claims that it is bringing about one in a million sort of story paired with exciting stuns. The makers, right on time, decided that it would be better to postpone the movie rather than making it another big flop of the year.

We all were impatiently waiting for the movie to release, and some of us had already pre-booked the tickets. When will the movie be released, what happened to our tickets is still to be seen!

Mahira Khan came, conquered and stole all the hearts. The actress went across the border and everyone was left swooning over her sheer beauty and utmost talent. Regardless to say, Khan managed to make some very good friends there too. We all know very well how SRK and she became great buddies, but very few know that Mahira paired pretty well with Sonam Kapoor too. And, here is the proof:

Salman Ahmed has been an avid fan of PTI and Imran Khan since long. He is almost always among the promoinent faces in all of PTI’s protests and marches.

The love and admiration Salman Ahmed has for Imran Khan has always been very evident but in the wake of the JIT and its current decision, Salman has released a very warm tribute for Imran Khan.

The video has been sung and produced by Salman Ahmed himself and uploaded on his YouTube channel that he has named under the banner of Junoon. It is the first video of this channel that has amassed 69 dislikes in three days. The video is a little odd with Imran’s personal life, marriage and professional struggle in a five minutes long compilation. It also shows glimpses of Salman Ahmed and his wife. We feel that in his eagerness to show his deep love and respect, Salman has not paid much attention to the technicalities and put forward a very raw, heartfelt tribute.

Wajid Khan, the prominent makeup artist and stylist of our country spotted at the JFK International airport, New York. Wajid has been travelling to NY to participate as a stylist in 18th IIFA awards to be held on 14th and 15th July 2017.

Wajid runs his own beauty salon in Karachi. He is an official Chi Representative in Pakistan and also works as stylist at Miss Universe. This time he will be working as a stylist for upcoming IIFA awards in New York, USA.

Younis Khan, the first Pakistani cricketer to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket, donates his singed bat to ‘The Citizens Foundation’ (TCF) today.

Lately, Younis has also announced to donate the prize money worth Rs.10 million, that was awarded to him by the Prime Minister after the Champions Trophy win. He said that he will donate the prize money equally to three charitable organizations namely, Edhi Foundation, Indus Hospital and The Citizen’s Foundation.

Now his gesture of donating his historic bat with which he reached the mark of 10,000 runs in Test cricket format, portrays that Younis is one kind soul ready to help the lesser privileged. His efforts are much appreciated.

Being a Lux Girl is a status symbol in the industry. The new Lux girls are Mahira Khan, Mawra Hocane and Maya Ali. The launch event of the ad was held today at Nuplex Karachi. Maya unfortunately couldn’t attend the event because she is in Poland shooting for her upcoming movie Teefa In Trouble opposite Ali Zafar. Mawra was wearing a pastel pink gown while Mahira was seen in red; both representing the respective colours of soaps they endorse. The event was hosted by HSY. Urdu One is no stranger to notices from PEMRA and on Monday the channel received yet another one. The fourth show cause notice to Urdu One channel was for showing five Indian teleplays.

The dramas included Sath Nibhana Sathia, Nam Kiran, Yeh Hain Mohabbatein, Yeh Rishta Kia Kehlata Hai and Ishqbaz.

On October 19,2016 PEMRA prohibited all channels from showing Indian content. The said channel dismissed this directive and thus has received another notice.

Directing the Urdu One management to stop Indian content immediately, PEMRA has asked it to submit a reply within three days.

In addition, the CEO of the disobedient channel has also been summoned for personal hearing.

If the channel management fails to file a reply by July, 14, unilateral decision would be taken, the notice said.

Cricket has a special place in the hearts of Pakistanis and even the smallest victories are celebrated grandiosely as well as the little defeats criticised endlessly.

He has been accused of providing fraudulent documents to obtain the Computerized National Identity Card. Furthermore, the handsome man tried to exploit his “Celebrity status” by pressurizing the passport office to issue his passport.

According to a local News channel, Arshad Khan basically belongs to Kandar (Afghanistan) but in the fraudulent documents, Arshad and his family has shown themselves as members of Moosakhel tribe of Pakistan. According to the report, his parents were both Afghan refugees.

Gairat is an upcoming drama on ARY Digital. The drama stars Syed Jibran, Iqra Aziz and Muneeb Butt. According to promos the drama is based on oppression faced by women in our country and honour killings. ARY released the official sound track for the drama today and it is impressive as were the promos. The music is beautiful with combination of Alif Allah and Maaye Ni interwoven with modern lyrics. According to a report surfacing the news a few days back, there is a suspicion that his past’s link with Islam is trying to be deleted and earthed for the future generation

Baghi is a much anticipated upcoming drama from Urdu1. It is based on the true story of life and death of the social media star Qandeel Baloch in the hands of her younger brother. The main character Qandeel is being played by the very talented and very versatile Saba Qamar.

We have gotten to know that another main role in the play is one of Qandeel’s younger sister. She is a wannabe like Qandeel herself but doesn’t have the same guts and initiative as yet. So, she intends to follow in her older sister’s footsteps and does all that she can to imitate her so she can also be famous. We will be seeing the very beautiful Nimra Khan in this role.

Nimra has spoken about bagging the character that she was approached by Urdu 1 because she has worked with Saba Qamar earlier and they thought they resemble well enough to play sisters in Baghi. Her mother is a Kashmiri-Punjabi, so the typical village accent required for the drama was not a problem with Nimra.

Talking about the play itself, Nimra told us it does not glorify Qandeel in any way, and if it would, the cast will be speaking up against it. She went on to say that aim is to show that there are ways of eradicating evil from the society without finishing off such people altogether. Nobody knows why people become  who they are because we are not privy to their individual circumstances.

“Baghi” is increasing our anticipation with every news, we must say.

After the trailer release of Chain Aye Na, the movie gained many speculations and assumptions about it. Most of them were so negative that the actors had to release defensive statements about it. Seems like the movie is again in the news now before its release.

The film was due to appear in cinemas on the twentieth of this month but now it’s been postponed till the eleventh of August.

The reason for this delay as given by Shehroz Sabzwari is that they could not promote the film properly. As Syed Noor has been on a trip to Bangkok, the team felt that they were not able to hold promotional events and appear on TV shows about it. After a recent appearance in a morning show, they are all set to bring Chain Aye Na to the attention of viewers before its release.

Meera Jee recently hinted on getting married next month in a show and now if the reports are to be believed she will be getting hitched in August to her dream man from USA. Meera didn’t tell the media who her man is because she thinks previously over exposure to media has led to failed attempts of marriage. But the groom is none other than Captain Naveed if reports are to be believed and his family is in Pakistan for the final preparations of the big day.

According to Meera’s father she was nikkahfied to years ago. Whats new is Meera wants to opt for surrogacy to have children. She said in an interview: “I want my fiance’s name to remain a mystery until I’m married. I can assure you is that I will maintain my figure after getting married. I’ll opt for surrogacy just like Shahrukh Khan did.”

It is 12th July and we celebrate “Malala day”  for the girl who fought hard to survive, to educate and to rise up and shine bright. This time around, Malala comes up with a strong message as she encourages her fellow Pakistanis to speak up for themselves and never settle for anything they do not approve of.

“On my birthday today.. this is my message to all Pakistanis: believe in yourself, speak up for your rights, [acquire] education because it is very important for the future of Pakistan. It is only through education you can change the future of your country and take it forward,”

Speaking out to all the parents, she said that education is the best gift they can offer to their children.

“My message to all parents is, if you can give something [precious] to your children, it is education. Through education they can progress and contribute to their country and family.”

Her message to the government is:

“I ask the government to spend on education, to fulfill its promise of allocating 4% budget to education. The government must ensure that all children are given the opportunity to acquire education, so that they can make their country proud.”

On the day of Malala’s birthday, the Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Shareef praised Malala’s efforts to promote educational rights and spreading awareness.

The upcoming telefilm of Aplus ‘love youn bhi hota hai’ pays tribute to Junaid Jamshed in its own way. The lyrics of popular song of Junaid Jamshed, ‘Aeitabar bhi aa hi jayega’ has been used in one of its songs.

‘Love youn bhi hota hai’, has been directed by Shoaib Khan, starring Yasir Shah and Zara Ahmed. The telefilm will telecast on friday at 9:00pm on A-Plus TV.

Shoaib Khan on his official social media account says that there are some more beautiful melodies in the telefilm.
