Few days ago, there were rumors about Hamza Ali Abassi’s nikkah with Naimal Khawar. Later on, Hamza confirmed this news of him getting nikkahfied on 25th August in a small function. The nikkah will be followed by a Valima ceremony on 26th August.

Mehwish Hayat on twitter has tweeted about Shahrukh khan ‘s upcoming Netflix production whose trailer has just got posted on Netflix. Mehwish Hayat while sharing his post tweeted that it indicates what I said was true they are up with another story about Pakistanis and Pakistan as terrorists and Indians as soldiers and heroes, she said that everytime they come up with this dirty meligning propaganda and people actually don’t believe that they have destroyed whole image of what we really are this is the proof to the world that see this trailer which was depicting complete picture of terrorist activities linked to Pakistan.

Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali have a huge fan following owing to their great on-screen chemistry. “Initially we thought to have Indian actors on board too but considering the present scenario in India, we dropped the idea.”
The subject of this web series is more relevant today than it ever was since it will cover the impact of war on both sides of the border. The script will cover India and Pakistan ties, how the wars and conflict between the two countries results in the loss of lives of personnel of the armed forces. This affects the entire community and most importantly the family members.
While talking to Instep, the producer and director of the web series Haseeb Hassan shared,
“Dhoop Ki Deewar is not a love story: it is a love-hate story based on the love-hate relationship between people of India and Pakistan. That’s the only way we can write and read a love story between these two people…that’s what almost 70 years of unending hatred does to people and their sensibilities. And the most difficult thing for a writer in the subcontinent is to write an Indo-Pak love story.”
Samiya Mumtaz, Zaib Rehman, Manzar Sehbai and Samina Ahmed will be playing important supporting characters in the web series. Adnan Jaffer, Zara Tareen, Paras Masroor, Hammad Siddiqui, Ainy Zaidi, Salma Hasan, Lubna Aslam and Raza Talish will also be playing important roles in the project.
The project is being undertaken with the support of ISPR. Haseeb Hassan also revealed that this is the kind of project which will have International reach and audience. This is surely something to look forward to.

Cinema In Pakistan Is Getting Dumber, Usman Mukhtar
Usman Mukhtar said in an interview with Sarym that, “I never realized drama as the biggest market in pakistan if you want to be recognized as an actor” . He said I had been shying away from drama for many years and was focusing on film unfortunately at that time when there were no concept of films in pakistan the cinema was completely finished. If we used to tell someone we are going to make film people used to laugh at us then we got a producer and directed a film but couldn’t complete it and it never came out unfortunately . He said since my passion was film making I never thought of doing drama but now I have realized how strong is the television in pakistan and now I want to do more and more dramas.
He also said I am still up for film making but the kind of films we want to make require a lot of budget and unfortunately it’s not happening even though we got scripts and ideas. He said his break from films is temporary and he will definitely make some good movie sooner.
He also said Janan and parchi were good experiences I got to make good friends like Hania, Bilal and Armeena, I enjoyed acting and cinematography but I want to make art films, he further added that I dont hate commercial films but I hate stupid films and cinema in pakistan is getting dumber. It seems that he jabbed on currently released films which had hollow screenplays because a good film maker realizes when he sees a film without screen play, it is like a body without soul.
We hope Usman Mukhtar does dramas and films and get success in both mediums and improve his craft also we are regretful about the time when he wasn’t doing TV for films because we didn’t get such a brilliant actor earlier.
Jo Tu Chahay Episode 8 Story Review – Nothing Exciting
Opening Thoughts – Decent Episode But Nothing New:
Ohkay so, this episode of Jo Tu Chahay was decent. I think a lot of time has been dedicated to the family politics, the equation & the dynamics that the clan of Appa Jee shares with each other. So far, they have successfully established the fact that Mashal is the oppressed one & she is mistreated at the hands of her aunts, so I feel they should move the story forward & focus more on Mashal’s character development. Let’s see when will that happen.
Mashal’s Dismay Seems Unconvincing:
Appa Jee took it on her & proposed Armaan’s marriage to Areesha. She did not make it obvious what her reasons were & that it was Armaan who decided to get married to Areesha instead of Mashal now. Appa Jee knew that if she’ll go on discussing the nitty gritty, it will call an undue attention on Mashal & that way, everyone will hold her responsible for this chaos. That is why based on her wisdom & maturity, Appa Jee made it seem like she was the one who had come up with this idea. Even Armaan made it seem like it was Appa Jee’s idea & he was just obliging but he knows that Appa Jee as well as Mashal are well aware of the truth. Armaan kind of eased his way out of this & didn’t take the ownership of his decision in front of his mother but when it came to Appa Jee, he clearly let her know that he only got married to Areesha because she & Mashal wanted him to.
Shama & Faseeha were obviously not happy but Areesha got what she wanted. Armaan is pretty happy that everything happened just so seamlessly & most of the family members were on his side, supporting this decision. Appa Jee feels she has done the right thing by making Areesha’s dream come true & this way she feels, she’ll be able to keep both the families connected but she has no idea what is brewing in Shama & Faseesha’s minds. I once again find it a pretty black & white picture that has been painted by the writer here where all the men are the positive ones & the ladies of the house are negative nancies.
Mashal just became a spectator with a bucket full of grudges, complains & tears under her belt. I still fail to see the reason behind Mashal’s disappointment & her dismay at the thought of Armaan getting married to someone else & not her. I feel if they had shown that she had an immense amount of respect for Armaan even before he made an entry in the drama, her feelings would’ve seemed a bit justified but not sure why she is sporting a forlorn face when she herself has admitted that she didn’t ‘love’ Armaan? Some background I feel would’ve made these feelings & emotions seem a bit convincing but right now, it just looks out of the blue & is making Mashal look a little desperate, a little less than Areesha but definitely desperate. Yes, Mashal has always yearned for love & attention, but why is it that she thought her marriage to Armaan will provide her all of that, considering she immediately thought of the fact that Shama & Bisma have always been mean to her? For any other girl, she’d have been a little burdened with the fact that she’ll have to deal with the likes of Shama & Bisma after her marriage to Armaan but oh boy, Mashal ne to ye baat dil se hi laga li hai!
I know this story is about a girl who is discovering herself & her reliance on Allah, but I wish they now shift the story actually on her growth because I feel a lot of time has been invested in the supporting characters & their lives. I also want to see the focus shifting on Hashir’s character because right now he is looking like a supporting character too, not sure if he is even the lead or what? To be honest, as much as I enjoy watching this drama, I feel it is not a review-material because the situations are just so plain & there’s nothing detailed or complex about it. I also would love to see Mashal finding a purpose & not wasting her time thinking about ‘why’ no one loves her? I mean she should’ve been immune to it by now but no, she is stuck in a rut I feel. No doubt all the things that Appa Jee says to Mashal are insightful & hold a lot of meaning but to see no mental or emotional growth in Mashal makes it a little frustrating because it then looks like everything that Appa Jee says is going to waste!
I have mentioned this before that these surrounding circumstances are used to define the kind of mindset Mashal has & what she goes through but I feel due to so much of focus on these side characters, the purpose of Mashal’s journey is being lost somewhere. I will still say that this drama is worth a watch but yes, when it comes to discussing it, there’s nothing special in any episode to be honest, which I hope changes.
Closing Thoughts – Hoping For It To Wow Me:
Overall, this episode of Jo Tu Chahay was average & there wasn’t anything special that wowed me. I did however enjoy Nargis Rasheed’s performance like I always do. All the situations & scenarios are realistically portrayed but I feel everything has been-there-seen-that kind of feel to it that it has stopped appealing to me, which I hope changes. I have also noticed the new trend, that they rightly censor the unwanted physical contact between the characters/actors, I saw that happen in this week’s episode of Surkh Chandni & even in this episode they edited out the hug between Armaan & Areesha, so when they know that they can not show such stuff, then isn’t it better to not shoot it at all? It is obviously unwanted & doesn’t help the situation at all. Anyhow, please share your thoughts about this episode of Jo Tu Chahay.

Khaas Episode 18 Story Review – The Confrontation
Opening Thoughts – Full of Surprises:
Ohkay so, this episode of Khaas was full of surprises, some pleasant ones and some not so pleasant. This drama surely has grabbed the interest of the audience for all the right reasons because it is showing how healthy looking relationships can be so toxic & mentally drain the people involved in it. This subject has never really been explored in the past in such a detailed manner, this is the reason why Khaas has appealed to the masses & has garnered so much of popularity, despite the initial episodes not hitting the right note.
The Confrontation:
The best aspect of this episode for sure was Saba taking her parents into confidence & confiding in them for the first time. Saba actually has had enough. Saba has tried everything to make this marriage work but Ammar has not really understood Saba’s worth & importance in his life. Saba assured her parents that she has done everything but still this marriage is not working & she had no more reasons to hold onto this relationship which was draining her & taking away the confidence her parents had instilled in her. The first surprise of this episode surely was Faraz’s unexpected reaction to Saba’s claims. I actually thought that just like before, he will tell her that she was wrong but he didn’t & in fact he didn’t let Saba down by telling her that she still had his support. Faraz took me by surprise because for once, he did not question Saba & instead told her that he believed her. This was enough for Saba at that moment because this is what she wanted to hear after being mentally & emotionally abused by Ammar for such a long time.
Nida finally spoke about Saba & Fakhir’s alleged affair in front of her family. She couldn’t contain herself because she is unable to deal with the fact that Fakhir rejected her because of his love for a married woman. Nida was going to speak against Saba eventually so it was good that she finally did but unfortunately, the timing went against Saba one more time. The entire confrontation scene was done brilliantly with everyone not only being involved but also getting enough chance to speak whatever was in their hearts. Saba did speak about Salma & Ammar but just like Saba knew, Ammar manipulated the entire situation & turned it against Saba. Saba has understood the way Ammar’s mind works but still, she has not been able to counter that because she is not cunning like Ammar. Saba also had no idea that her friendship with Fakhir will be questioned out of nowhere, that is why she was caught off guard & didn’t really know how she should respond. Saba has been upfront & honest, she just speaks about things the way she perceives them & she actually expects that others will believe her but she is always proven wrong. Saba thought instead of questioning her, Ammar’s parents will question him about Salma but that didn’t happen because Saba’s honesty was overruled by Ammar’s lies.
Faraz did come to support Saba & question Ammar but after all that he heard, he left Saba alone to deal with this messy situation on her own. This was again something that was expected of Faraz but I still didn’t expect because I thought after his I’ll-be-there-for-you speech, he will stand by his daughter instead of chickening out, but he proved me wrong. Faraz was ashamed & actually thought that Saba could do something like that, Saba could actually cheat on Ammar. This goes to show that even though he feels for Saba, he still thinks Ammar is in the right. Faraz didn’t question Ammar about Salma but instead believed that Saba was actually involved with Fakhir, that is why he asked Kanwal to pardon his daughter’s mistake? What kind of a father is he? Faraz is not helpless, he can support Saba & Saba also can support herself even if she gets divorced but they have showcased the mentality of parents in a very convincing manner, where just for the sake of it, they don’t want their daughters to get divorced & instead expect them to stay in toxic relationships their whole lives. Saba has suffered enough & the only thing she expected from her father especially was to understand her but he proved that she was asking for too much.
Fakhir did feel something was not right but he couldn’t put a finger on it. It is good that the confrontation took place because it would now change the dynamics drastically. It was kind of stagnant seeing Saba & Ammar fight all the time so now it’s high time that the scenario changes. Ammar has promised Salma that he will get married to her, so it will be good to see Ammar paying the price for treating Saba with so much disrespect. Salma is just fascinated with the idea of getting married to Ammar but it is pretty obvious that Salma will not accept Ammar’s demeaning ways. She is not the kind who will put up with Ammar’s misbehavior.
Closing Thoughts – Brilliant Direction:
Overall, this episode of Khaas was very happening. I am relieved that the confrontation took place & things will change. I am keen to see how Ammar & Salma’s relationship will move forward, because they both are just wrongly fascinated but their bubble will burst soon. Everyone acted brilliantly in this episode as well. The direction of Khaas has turned out to be one of the strongest aspects of this drama. Danish Nawaz really has proved that he is a fine director & he can tackle serious scripts better than the comic ones. Danish Nawaz should take more scripts like these & direct them just the way he has directed Khaas. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khaas.

Imad Wasim Is Getting Married On 26 August
The month of August has brought a bundle of joy for two international cricketers in Pakistan-fast bowler Hassan Ali and all-rounder Imad Wasim.
Hassan Ali has tied the knot on 20 August with the girl of his dreams Samiya Aarzoo in Dubai. Now Imad Wasim is also getting married to the love of his life Sania Ashfaq. She is a London-based Pakistani girl. Sania and Imad met in London for the first time and became good friends. After a while, they decided to marry with the consent of their families. Families from both sides are busy with the wedding preparations at the moment.

Iqra Aziz Reveals Personal Details
Iqra Aziz is surely one of the most liked and also the most popular actress of recent times. She revealed that when she was born, her mother desperately wanted a son. Iqra Aziz was the second child and since the first one was a girl, her mother was hoping and praying that her second child will be a boy because that would make the family complete. She shared that her mother was not happy when she was born since she wished for a son. She said,
“My mom tells me herself that she was not happy when I was born and I say how is that even possible!”
Iqra Aziz said that her mother tells her that she was tiny when she was born and her mom couldn’t help but cuddle her all the time.
