Hamza is an actor, a director, a social media activist and a host among so many things but one of his hidden talents came out when he posted about it on the 12th Rabiul Awal. Haseena Moin needs no introduction. When we think of greatness on Pakistan Television, she is the first name that pops up in our mind. She also wrote dialogues for a Bollywood film Henna which was sent to the academy awards that year as India’s official entry.

Haseena Moin appeared on Samina Peerzada’s Speak Your Heart, a web show which was garnering alot of attention as people do really speak their heart. Haseena revealed that she is a breast cancer survivor. Back in 2005, she felt some pain in her body and on being her family’s insistence she went for the tests. She was then diagnosed with breast cancer. She said that she reacted very calmly and did not panic. She in fact asked the Dr who was her brother’s friend what was to be done then? The doctors advised her to get medication. She said that she would stay awake all night and many stories came to her mind while she was awake and she would forget them all.

She said that one of friends advised her that she should fight it and she kept that in her mind. This helped her fight the battle against the disease and she survived. Well, we must say that she’s a big inspiration.

Sarmad is an ace director and also an actor. He’s proved his mettle in both the departments time and again. He had just featured with Saima in an Aplus drama and before that he did Teri Raza with Sanam Baloch on ARY Digital. His list of directorials is longer and greater. Humsafar, Shehr e Zaat, Pani Jaisa Pyaar and latest Akhri Station. He’s always successful forayed into films. Manto was liked by the audience and critics alike. Now, Sarmad has formed his own film production company known as Khoosat Films and he is all set to direct an untitled film.

Sarmad hinted at a film on his Instagram by adding a couple of photos. Although, the name has not been revealed yet, it is said that the film is going to be in Punjabi. Sarmad said, “Being a local of the city Lahore, I can relate to the subject of the film in a purely raw way. The reason the film is going to be in Punjabi is because it is set in Lahore and Punjabi is the only language that will encapsulate the story rooted in this city and its culture. I feel like the aura, the authenticity and the dialect of Lahore have not been embedded on screen yet.”

It will be produced by Kanwal Khoosat, Sarmad’s sister and screenplay is going to be written by Nirmal Bano while the script is Sarmad’s. The film will star Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleiman, Ali Kureishi and Arif Hasan.

It’s none other than Karan Johar. Yes, you heard that right. Karan Johar shared a youtube link to Asim’s single on his twitter handle and wrote, “Such a beautiful song!!! heartbreak melody at its best!” Well, that’s huge. It’s not an easy thing to be noticed by a renowned filmmaker like Johar. Well, that was not the end of story. Asim was quick to respond. He thanked Karan and was glad that he liked the song. Saba Qamar is one of the best talents of Pakistan. She has made Pakistan proud on every platform she has represented her country. At the same time, Saba Qamar is a very good daughter and has always loved her family and been a pillar for them being the strong woman she is. It was a hard time for Saba Qamar as her mother is unwell and has been hospitalized. Saba, however, is still stronger than ever and is smiling to make her mother feel better and recover quickly. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are the most favourite couple of millions. They have been dating for many years and have now tied the knot. Previously, we reported that a new filmmaker Hammad Khan is going to direct an indie thriller film called Laal Kabootar. It will be produced by Nehr Ghar Films owned by Kamil Chima and Hania Chima. The production team had been revealed last week while their red poster had captivated everyone. One main thing that was still kept secret was the films cast. Everyone was assuming that it will completely have a new cast as it is being made by relatively new filmmakers and above all it is an indie film but seems like two big names have already signed on for the film.

Mansha Pasha who’s drama serial KhudGarz had ended on ARY a few weeks ago is going to be the protagonist. She will be playing a housewife who goes through a problem in life and how she overcomes it. Another actress who was said to be in the film was Saba Hameed. She had also posted a couple of pictures from the set but Khalil ur Rehman Qamar denied that she was ever a part of the film. Although, Resham seemed happy working in the film initially and who would not want to work on a Khalil ur Rehman Qamar script but she said that she had already committed to a few TV Projects and the dates were clashing. Therefore, she excused herself from the project.

Resham will be seen in a project called Noor Bibi to be aired on Geo Entertainment soon. Resham plays a self-proclaimed Godwoman in the show and practices black magic. It also stars Ali Abbas, Saniya Shamshad and Sanam Chaudhry.

In an interview to Galaxy Lollywood on being asked why she opted for Paray Hut Love, Zara said, “I was offered the main role in Teefa in Trouble back in the day but I had some family commitments that I could not get out of so I never made it to the audition. I was then offered a supporting role in Maula Jutt too but I refused it because I actually did not want a supporting role. Time went by and on the day of my Nikkah, I was approached by Asim Raza for a commercial but since I was busy with my wedding, I couldn’t do that either. Asim and I, however, stayed in touch even after that. One day, we were talking and Asim asked if I would like to do a film with him, even if I don’t get the main role. I said yes but on the condition that the script should be great.”

She replied, “As far as my skin care regime is concerned, when I am not shooting I try to avoid makeup, allowing my skin to breathe and I rely on a lot of home remedies,” Sadaf shared. “I am a very desi kind of a person. She also gave some make up tips saying, “I have learnt a lot from makeup artists backstage, but one tip is how to make your highlighter pop. All you have to do is spray the brush with makeup fixer first and then apply highlighter. Another makeup tip is to never put concealer or foundation on your eyelids before putting on eye shadows as it will crease your eye makeup.”

The Punjab government has suspended the Punjab Film Certification Board. The decision was made due to the government no longer being able to afford its members. The board’s chairman, former film star Muhammad Ali’s wife and an actress herself, Zeba, vice chairman along with all its other members were removed in an order to look into corruption reports.

Express Tribune reported that a  senior official of the Punjab Information and Culture Ministry official said , “After receiving several reports of financial corruption, the  ministry has decided to conduct an audit of the board.” The main issue was the chairperson Zeba’s monthly salary which was whopping 1.2 Million. An official said, ““It was beyond our understanding why such huge sums were being paid to the members, in comparison to the amount of work they were doing. Only a few films are produced every year so I would like to know what work this committee has been doing, other than receiving big salaries?”

On being contacted Zeba said, “I completed my tenure with great commitment and I do not know why the committee has been suspended.  I will not comment on the issues of corruption and auditing. All I know is that I completed all the work that was assigned to me by the government with honesty.” According to the reports a new committee will be formed after appointing a new chairperson.

Juggan Kazim has been in the business for quite a while now. Be it hosting, Tv or films, she has done it all. Not many people know this but she was actually going to make her debut with Samina Peerzada’s film Shararat as a foreign returned Pakistani. But she wasn’t allowed to do films back then, so she had to make her Pakistani film debut in a substandard film with Shaan called Khamosh Raho. Anyway, she’s successfully doing her morning show on PTV. Also, she has a YouTube channel with her own name where she recently showed people her beautiful house.

The video starts with Juggan welcoming us and she says that she will make separate videos for each portion of her house. She showed the the area where she lives with her family. Juggan took us to an area where she initially wanted to have a fountain but since it was making too much noise, they got rid of it. Nouman Habib joined showbiz by appearing in a dance reality show, He had luckily won the show and there was no looking back after that. He was one of the first few actors to have done a film. On her equation with the director she said, “Khalil Sahab may have a reputation for being a tough taskmaster on the sets, but to me he is an institution to work with. Yes, he can be extremely tough with unprofessional people but for the most part, he is full of knowledge and expertise, he knows his script, characters and most importantly, his craft. He brings out a creatively-enriching feeling in me as an actor. The way he pushes you and challenges you, you just let him guide you.  It was surprising that Khalil sahib and I were always on the same page. He used to call me “Cheeti” as I was quick to perceive his vision. He is someone who has no ego issues when it comes to learning from others.”

Earlier we had reported that Meera was in the US for sometime for a vacation and she was having a ball of time. She was in news last time as the court had asked her to appear in her marriage with Attiq ur Rehman Case.

Although, she had not been doing enough good work for now but she has signed Saqib Malik’s debut film Baaji which revolves around a former actress’ fading stardom.
