Picking such topics and writing over them is always something I avoid the most; probably because the readers often find the content either bold enough to be discussed or find the critics been overdone. However, it seems more like a duty to share all the must-know facts and happenings that are related to our celebrities and showbiz industry to keep our readers updated. What I have today to share with you all is a news that will surely leave you with a thought to consider.
I recently shared a news announcement about Salma Agha’s daughter Sasha Agha and the fact that she will soon be seen on screen in a bollywood movie “Aurangzeb”.
While I was searching more about the movie, I came across some sites where Sasha is been discussed for the intimate scenes that she has done with Arjun Kapoor, who is the male lead in the movie. The clips were quite shameful as I take them and knowing that our site has some rules and regulations to follow, censoring of the clips was the first thing that was done.
It is a pity that although belonging from a family that has earned a lot of respect for its talent in the field of acting and singing, Sasha Agha seems quite comfortable in doing such bold scenes in the movie. If you take a look on the song that has also been sung by her, you will notice that the line that distinguishes glamor from vulgarity has crossed all the boundaries that should be strictly followed.
Salma Agha is one of those celebrities who are still cherished for not their work only but for the morality and ethics that they ensured on screen, however, watching her daughter in an avatar that completely opposes to the customs and traditions that the home country follow was an unpleasant experience.
There is nothing new about the story as it is becoming more like a trend that Pakistani actresses go to India and take the name down of the country by selling themselves on screens, whether it is Meera, Veena Malik, Sara Loren or Sasha Agha now.
Pakistan is a country having 60% of the liberal people who are at ease with some romantic scenes been shown on screen but the fact still remains that being a Muslim country, the audience want to see their celebrities following at least some lines called “limits” on-screen and on a serious note even the law of the country disapproves the anything that becomes a source of promoting vulgarity.
It has been seen that Pakistani actresses who try earning respect with indecent ways in India lose their career in Pakistan as Veena Malik is a good example of this. About 70% of the audience hates Veena Malik for her boldness and this means the end of her career in her home country. The news about having Salma Agha’s daughter as an emerging talent was welcomed by most of the readers few hours back but her fan following within Pakistan is in danger if we take the previous trends into account. Fair enough, Sasha has got her first break with Yash Raj Films which itself speaks quite much about the intimate scenes she agreed to do.
What makes this article worth reading is the fact that it is now important to question our celebrities about the ethics that they must follow. Will all of our celebrities going to sell their dignity on screen just for the sake of some money and popularity? Are we going to take them back open arms when they would return to Pakistan after giving some bold, low-budget flop movies?
It is a point where all of us should start thinking that how we actually want our culture to look like.
Salma Agha is one of those senior celebrities who still shine much brighter than the new ones if we judge the two on the basis of talent and work been done so far. How amazing is the fact that just like other celebrities, Salma Agha’s daughter is now all set to rock the entertainment industry , following the footsteps of mother and will soon be seen on screen showing her acting and singing skills like Mum. Sasha Agha, belonging to a historic family in the field of acting and Music is now making her debut as an actress in Yash Raj’s “Aurangzeb” across the border.
The movie “Aurangzeb” is directed by a debutant Director Atul Sabharwal, and the cast consists of Arjun Kapoor, Sashaa Agha, Jackie Shroff, Amrita Singh and Rishi Kapoor. The movie has a song “Barbadiyan” which is also sung by Sasha and according to the spokeman of Yash Raj Films, Sasha has done justice with the song for her voice is really melodious.
While been asked about her experience in the field of acting and singing, Sasha showed her interest and revealed that she want to be like her mum. She said:
“I have learnt singing from my mom and I don’t plan to give it up because I am very passionate about it. I want to make a career in acting and singing simultaneously.
My great grand father was Jugal Kishore Mehra, who was Raj Kapoor’s uncle and married to famous singer Anwari Begum. My grandmother Nusrin Agha was a well-known singer as well. So in a way, I am the fourth generation singer in my family,”
Pakistani celebrities are no way behind when it comes to having talent and when we talk about multi-talented celebrities, Ayesha Omer is one of them. It is to noted that Pakistan is a country where almost every next singer has the ability to act, there are actors who are doing pretty good in the field of music. The model-turned-actor Ayesha Omer has been enjoying a huge fan following for her exceptional acting in a comedy sitcom “Bulbulay” and for the role of Sara in “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” and now she is again ready to gain further attention with her latest song “Dont Gimme Gimme”, which is duet song and holds all the pop ingredient to make it a disco-favorite number.
From the lyrics to the beats, costumes and the shoot, the video is overall glamorous enough to enjoy critics and appreciation from the audience at the same time.
Enjoy the Video Song and share your views about it !
If you are a TV freak and loves to follow music and the programmes that revolve around empowering the youth of country, you must have noticed that the sole channel which was called to be a channel of youth, Aag TV is no more reaching out to you. Yes, the news is correct, Geo Networks has suspended the broadcast of Aag TV on the basis of the fact that the channel was not attracting viewers as it should have been to attain respectful TRPs’ which it once used to have.
The channel has now gone off-air and has been replaced by Geo’s new product known as “GEO Kahani” which is still running under test transmission. While I was going through the official blog of the channel, I found that audience had many questions about why actually the channel only supported the “Fire Records” and nothing else. It is obvious, that they, as viewers want to see every taste of entertainment on a platform which runs under the slogan of empowering the young generation.
It is important to mention that the channel has given some magnificent dramas and finest actors like Dreamers, Ishrat Baji, etc. which turned out to be as the productive platforms from where actors like Annie and Shehzad sheikh emerged.
Due to the foreign content craze, Geo TV has already lost many of its viewers and such a step been taken by the network is still unpredictable to justify the act,
Lets see how things turn for the channel in near future, but there are viewers who will definitely miss watching Aag TV.
All the sweet rules set to avoid misunderstandings flew straight out of the window along with the romance that happened in the last few episodes. So Zaroon has forgotten his rules completely. He has stopped talking to his wife and is walking away from her, instead of facing the issue bothering him. Poor Kashaf has moved bag and baggage to her new home, and has been welcomed with cold shoulder. She has been accused of not telling Zaroon about Usama’s proposal to her. Never mind, that when she sensed he was preoccupied after meeting Asmara that he never bothered to tell her the truth. Zaroon clearly has double standards even now. The way Osama mentioned the proposal was actually quite annoying-doesn’t he have an ounce of self respect even?
All his double standards have come right back to stare at us in the face. And it does seem that Kashaf is not going to humour him at all. It also seems he is seeking a bit of attention by throwing his tantrums. Kashaf is very clear on her stance and expectations in the marriage, and is consistently sticking to them. Zaroon told her what was troubling him, she answered his questions, but he still chose to hold on to his getting upset. Kashaf is taking that as him suspecting her, and this is not helping the situation.
But then this is what lack of communication does in any relationship. No words are exchanged and each partner draws one’s own conclusion, and matters get much worse than what it should.
Nigaar’s visit to Rafia’s house didn’t seem genuine to me. It seems she had an ulterior motive of getting her daughters a good proposal. Nigaar is a hopeless case and today she proved it, people like her will do anything to get things done from other people and by the way what was with the ugly eyes shadow lol.
Sara decided to tie the knot in this episode with someone she has known for a very long time and who is very conservative. Sara kept on insisting she could easily adjust with such a man while her mother begged to differ. Sara has learned to compromise and does not think twice before judging her mother. To be told by ones child that one’s marriage is not a good one, is very hurtful, I’m sure, and Ghazala expressed the pain she experienced as an outcome of those conversations. From the beginning, her character has been vague, indicating more often than not that she has not been a good mother, and today, this part of the story was validated clearly.
As with all stories, we all pick up what is relevant to us, or what catches our attention, based on our thoughts and experiences. And therefore it is not fair to judge this episode for all the numerous scenes that were put together.
Every character other than Murtaza was present today. There were a lot of discrepancies in the direction and storyline. I leave it to you to pick what is relevant or not.
The next episode had a trailer or a conversation between Zaroon and Kashaf. It almost looked like banter to me. Apparently there are 3 more episodes to go. Lets hope that everything is wrapped up nicely in the upcoming episodes. Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed were great in this episode but the storyline and direction failed to impress. Why was Kashaf going to visit Sidra when Sidra already left for the US in the last episode? Do you think that the Zaroon made a mountain out of a mole hill and that he still has double standards? Please share your thoughts would love to hear from you.
I am covering for Fatima this week; she will be back next week.

Here is a very motivational video featuring different celebrities spreading a positive message to the people about what change can be brought through their votes:
Each celebrity gave different reasons to vote. Here are a few clicks of different celebs:
The slogan that I absolutely loved was this one!
“VOTE FOR THE PRINCIPLE THAT MOVES YOU, NOT THE FACE THAT LURES YOU”
We should not support the cause that our favorite celebrity is promoting but we should vote for what we truly believe in!
It is a wonderful initiative taken by the celebrities and I hope that people will be motivated to vote for the cause they support after seeing this wonderful campaign!

What does shopping mean to you? A test of nerves? A physical and mental exercise? Something you do because you have to do it? Or is it something you do when you want to unwind, relax and maybe reward yourself? Well, for me shopping has always been a way to reward myself; something I do to distract myself from the dull and monotonous routine and of course like anyone else I can’t escape it since one must shop in order to get the basic necessities like groceries, clothing etc. So every time I walk in a shop I want to be treated as the person who is there to be rewarded…”c’mon show me all you have got” is my attitude and nothing short of that would turn this shopping experience into a gratifying one. I want a lot of options in front of me before I finally decide what I want to buy especially if I am shopping for clothes, shoes and accessories.Well, honestly speaking most of the time the shopping experience leads me frustrated and tired mainly because the expectations are too high and the returns too low!!
I am going to share with you the reason for my frustrations and tell me if you can relate to any of it. When I enter into a shop there is hardly a shopkeeper who has the expressions and the body language that says “wow a valued customer, I am all ears”, the reaction is more of, “Oh my God time to wake up from my slumber, better get rid of her as soon as I can!”.. Resultantly the shop turns into a war zone for the few minutes that I am there, the shopkeeper will try every trick in the book to ensure that I leave as early as possible; from not showing the right sizes to taking too long to understand what I want. Does that make any sense? I am there to spend my precious finances and this man just could not care less because he will get paid at the end of the month whether I buy something from his shop or not. Now that is the attitude that makes my mind wander from shopping to politics…yes you heard it right politics! Why are honesty and hard work not part of our political culture? There is corruption everywhere; even this salesman is actually corrupt when he refuses to deal with his customers properly. Why are we so lazy etc etc!! So much for shopping now eh! So when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I am not the one to give up, I decide to deal with these dishonest, lazy and irresponsible people in the way they deserve to be dealt with and by the time I get back home, I have almost forgotten that I went out to relax and reward myself and it seems more like “I just spent my money and brought myself a few things but I don’t feel happy!!” But the optimist that I am even next time I will go out shopping with the same high expectations and a smile on my face and probably return exhausted and disappointed. This happens particularly in sales when there are so many salesmen on the floor but all of them pretend like they are hard of hearing.
So, How many of you have faced these “hardships” while shopping? What are your expectations when you go out for shopping? Please share your thoughts.

This episode completely revolved around the end of Maryam’s engagement to Umair so we can say it was more of a filler episode. The whole episode was a drag and the real story is still yet to start. Ayeza Khan gave a superb performance in this episode as she managed to express all the emotions so well. Her character Maryam is that of a simple girl with dreams like every other girl and the huge shock she got by seeing Umair with another girl just a few days before her marriage shattered her dreams. It was not only a very hard time for Maryam but also for her parents. Maryam’s mother was continuously worried about Maryam’s future and what people would say about the broken engagement just a few days before the wedding. Her siblings and father were more understanding and stood by her when she took the decision of ending the engagement.
Umair went to Maryam’s house to apologize on his mother’s behest and cleared the air by telling them that Saira was just a colleague and he was just helping her out as she was in a huge problem. Maryam’s parents accepted his apology and asked Maryam for her opinion but Maryam did not want to get married to Umair after all that had happened. I loved the way her father supported her decision and her brother Sultan and Amna tried their best to console Maryam. I just loved the sister brother bonding between Amna, Maryam and Sultan. Amna’s description of Maryam’s dulha and her on own was hilarious! Amna always manages to bring a smile to her sisters’ face no matter how serious the situation is. The actor and actress playing Sultan and Amna are doing a superb job!
So we finally got to know how Zayaan and Maryam will meet. Zayaan is working on an educational program to reduce illiteracy free of cost and he is contacting different school and teachers to gather their support in his mission. Maryam, being a teacher, volunteered for this social work for two reasons: First, she wanted to get as busy as possible so that she can forget about her recent engagement fiasco and second she wanted to do the social work to help people. They ended the episode on a cliff hanger as the episode ended just when Maryam and Zayaan were about to meet for the first time! Now I am really looking forward to the next episode to see what happens next!
One thing that irked me a lot in the episode is Maryam’s mothers’ reaction to Maryam’s decision to end her engagement. I understand that she is a mother and she does not like it when people talk about Maryam but she needed to understand that even if Maryam got married to Umair, she would have never been happy with him. Maryam’s mother got pretty upset with Maryam when a neighbor came to her place and told her that they should not have ended the engagement as Mariam would be blamed for everything. According to the neighbor, it did not matter if Umair was involved with another woman as it is something very common in the society and Maryam should have compromised! I was totally dumbstruck when she said this. What kind of advice is this? After hearing this, Maryam’s mother became angry at Maryam and Maryam finally had to tell her that Umair had called her and told her himself that he would have not left Saira even after their marriage. Her mother then finally realized that everything had happened for the better. Thankgod!
I do not understand one thing, why does Zayaan dislike Faiza so much? There must be a reason why he is refusing to get married to her. Zayaan left Afsha’s house just because Faiza also came there. Faiza seems crazy about Zayaan but Zayaan does not seem interested in her at all and wants to avoid her at any cost. Hopefully, we will get to know the reason in the upcoming episodes. Afsha and his mother are still forcing him to get married to Faiza and his mother even told him that she is taking his proposal for Faiza whether he agrees or not! Afsha is constantly being pressurized by her husband to make Zayaan agree to the marriage.
Now I am waiting for the actual story to finally start and we will get to see more twists in the upcoming episodes. So stay tuned!

I am not a brand conscious person at all, I can gladly wear or use anything non-branded without thinking for a second that it will ruin my image in any way or will not look good. I don’t think that wearing or using branded things changes anything, what matters to me most is my comfort but that does not hold true for everyone. I do not know how things used to be before but nowadays it seems like we are fast turning into a group of people who very often weigh each others worth and even our own worth on the basis of which brand one can afford. This is very sad because we live in a country where most people live below the poverty line and many cannot afford the basic necessities of life.
The reason I decided to write this article and derived this conclusion is that the other day all of us friends had a get together and every time someone complimented the other person, the answer was thank you and then came the name of the brand he or she was using. If I tell someone “wow nice lipstick”, the answer would be, “thank you it is mac”. If you say to someone, “I like your bag”, the answer will be, “oh thank you I bought it from Charles and Keith”. This makes me wonder, do people buy expensive, branded things because they like to or so that they can tell others that they can afford these things?
I have nothing against people who can afford branded things and like to buy them but it is the mentality that most such people have that bugs me. If I tell someone that I like to buy shoes from Bata or Servis, I may be considered an outcast because I am considered to be living in the 16th century…if I find these shoes comfortable then why must I go to a more expensive outlet just because it is a brand that is known internationally and is worn by the rich and famous? To me my comfort comes first and also I do not want to be part of the “brand competition”, it seems like once you start labeling people and yourself based on what brands you buy or they use life gets a lot more complicated because there will always be brands that are more expensive…so where does it all end?
I even know parents who think it is beneath them to buy things for their children from a local outlet. If they cannot go abroad to shop for their child, they will make sure that they go to the most expensive branded store next to them. I have always dressed my children in clothes that anyone can buy from the local market and they look just fine in them and the clothes last too. I have even heard discussions about how the local Cerelac (or any other baby food) is not as good as the imported one., I can’t help but laugh at such conclusions but usually do not try to convince the brand conscious people. It seems like some of us are just convinced that the local goods can never be good enough and it is only the imported branded things that come with a guarantee. I have to confess that I did invest a big amount of well earned money into buying some branded things, not to please my brand conscious friends but strictly out of curiosity. I wanted to know what was about these things that had these people so convinced that they were the best. My experience wasn’t good at all, the clothes I bought looked old after a few washes…maybe it was just my bad luck but it also reinforced my belief in the saying that curiosity killed the cat!!
Are you brand conscious? If yes then what is the reason for it? Are the people around you brand conscious? If yes then does it bug you? Please share your thoughts.
First of all we would like to thank everyone who participated in the voting and shared their opinions regarding the awards on the website. The voting closed a few days ago and it is time for us to discuss the results. Please feel free to share your opinion because your feedback is highly valuable. These results are based on the votes that were given to the dramas/writers/actors and directors in different categories by the public. It came as no surprise that the play Hamsafar got most votes in all the categories and this is exactly the reason why we will be mentioning the dramas that came in second position too. Here are the results.
Best Drama 2012:
First Place: Hamsafar (Hamsafar got 2,070 votes) Second Place: Durr-e-Shehwar (Durr-e-Shehwar got 504 votes)
Total Votes cast: 3,490
There is huge difference between the number of votes that these two dramas got, the sweeping majority that Hamsafar got came as no surprise. Hamsafar got 59 percent of the total votes cast and Durr-e-Shehwar got 14 percent of the total votes cast. Durr-e-Shehwar was in competition with amazing plays like Shehr-e-Zaat and Bilquess Kaur which were very famous as well but people voted in the favor of Durr-e-Shehwar.
Best Actor In A Leading Role:
First Place: Fawad Khan for Hamsafar (Fawad Khan got 2,724 votes) Second Place: Faisal Qureshi for Jahez (Faisal Qureshi got 179 votes)

This really is amazing, Fawad Khan who has not been around for as long as the rest of the actors who were nominated for this category won with a very big margin. Fawad Khan won by getting 80 percent of the total votes cast and Faisal Qureshi got 5 percent. Mikaal Zulfiqar got 172 votes.
Best Actress In A Leading Role:

Total Votes Cast: 3,200
This was a very close competition; there isn’t much of a difference in the number of votes that the two actresses got. Naveen Waqar won the award by getting 43 percent of the total votes cast and Samina Peerzada bagged the second place by getting 39 percent of the total votes cast.
Best Dialogues 2012:
First Place: Farhat Ishtiaq for Hamsafar (Farhat ishtiaq got 1,180 votes) Second Place: Umera Ahmed for Shehr-e-Zaat ( Umera Ahmed got 939 votes)
Total Votes Cast: 3,145
Umera Ahmed was nominated for Shehr-e-Zaat and Durr-e-Shehwar both and when one adds the results of both the plays together, she got more votes than Farhat Ishtiaq but the competition was between individual plays so we will count the votes that the plays got individually. Farhat Ishtiaq got 38 percent of the total votes cast and Umera Ahmed got 30 percent of the total votes cast. This was a very close competition.
Best Director 2012:
First Place: Sarmad Khoosat for Hamsafar (Sarmad Khoosat got 2,115 votes) Second Place: Sarmad Khoosat for Shehr-e-Zaat (Sarmad Khoosat got 354 votes)
Total Votes Cast: 3,045
Sarmad Khoosat got majority of the votes for both his dramas but there is a big difference between the number of votes that the two got. He got 69 percent of the total votes cast for Hamsafar and 12 percent for Shehr-e-Zaat.
Best On-Screen Couple 2012:
First Place: Mahira Khanand Fawad Khan for Hamsafar (They got 2,703 votes) Second Place: Sanam Baloch and Meekal Zulfiqar for Durr-e-Shehwar (They got 182 votes)
Total Votes Cast: 3,174
It seems like there was no competition there!! Mahira and Fawad won by getting 85 percent of the total votes cast and Sanam and Meekal got only 6 percent.
Best OST 2012:
First Place: Who Hamsafar Tha (Hamsafar’s OST got 2,236 votes) Second Place: Yaar Ko Humne (SeZ’s OST got 582 votes)
Total Votes Cast: 3,247
The OST of hamsafar won by getting 60 percent of the total votes cast and the OST of Shehr-e-Zaat got second place by getting 18 percent of the total votes cast.
These results clearly suggest that in people’s opinion Hamsafar was the most loved play in all respects in 2012 and Shehr-e-Zaat is the only play which had a real competition with Hamsafar.
The lady is back and this time with something really new. Film-star Reema who have also been producing Lollywood movies, took a break after her marriage with Dr. Tariq and is now settled in America. She has been appearing on different talk shows, often discussing about her marriage life and the fact that things are pretty different out of the country.
It was lately that I saw her in Nida’s Morning show where she was celebrating Sadia Imam’s onscreen-real marriage as per the theme of the morning show. It is now easy to guess that Reema is enjoying cordial relations with ARY Digital as a new show has been launched that is dedicated to the life in America and it will be Reema who will host the show.
After watching the promos which is on-air now, all I could think of was an Indian tourist show “Musafir hun Yaaron”. The new show “Reema ka America” is based on a similar theme where Reema will be your tourist guide and will show you the fascinating, must-visit places of America.
Been directed by Hasan Zaidi, the show is expected to grab a good audience due to the fact that there are people within Pakistan who love to know everything about United States. The show will start from April 27th, that is, Saturday at 6:30 pm.
We look forward to the show to see how Reema proves out herself as a tourist guide:),
What an unexpected twist! I was not expecting the story to take such a turn. I had known from the beginning that Shayan would marry Maleeha but I did expect Rahima to have a disease like Thalassemia. Shayan and Irfa both had Thalassemia minor and that is why Rahima inherited this disease from her parents. Her body is not able to produce new blood cells and she would need blood transfusions every few days and Rahima is barely a month or two old! Just the thought of a small kid having such a disease makes me shudder! There may be hundreds of kids out there suffering from this deadly disease. It seems to be a very trying time for both the parents and I am glad Shayan finally showed some concern towards her daughter.
I liked the way Dr. Bilal first tried to talk some sense into Shayan that he needs to give his family more time. He just wanted him to set his priorities right and asked him one simple question:
“Apke Ke Liyeah Kiya Ziada Zaruri Hai; Apka Hunr Ya Apki Beti?”
He tried to make him understand that his daughter comes above everything else but Shayan being Shayan got pretty offended and did not like to be lectured about his responsibilities as handling responsibilities has never been his forte. His life and his happiness comes above everything else as he has always been selfish and self obsessed, but we did finally see a change in his attitude when Dr. Bilal told Irfa and him about Rahima’s disease. I saw Shayan begging someone for the first time ever; he kept his ego aside and asked Dr. Bilal to help them in this tough time and Dr. Bilal being the kind hearted and generous person agreed to help them through all the testing phases ahead.
I cannot believe someone can become so selfish and indifferent! Maleeha did not show an ounce of pity when Shayan told him about Rahima’s condition. All she wants is Shayan to spend all his time with her as she can no longer share him with anyone else. Shayan maybe careless and selfish but he is aware of the fact Irfa has no one else but him in this world and he cannot leave her at any cost but Maleeha kept on insisting Shayan to leave Irfa again and again. This results in a huge argument between them and I just loved the scene where Shayan said:
“Mein Irfa Ko Nahi Chor Sakhta, Woh Mar Jayegi
Maleeha: Toh Mar Jaane Do
Shayan: Tum Mar Jao”
I was left open mouthed and dumbstruck when he said these dialogues. He may not love Irfa but deep down he still cares for her and would not leave her at any cost. He is trying his best to make Maleeha understand his situation and share his problems but Maleeha is not ready to understand anything and is acting like a stubborn child who wants Shayan all for herself.
Dr. Bilal is trying his best to help Irfa and Shayan in every possible way and he is also providing moral support to Irfa who has become extremely depressed and tensed after getting to know about Rahima’s condition. He is helping her to gather courage and be mentally prepared to face the situation ahead of her. In her worried state, she gets extremely rude and says the most hurtful words to Dr. Bilal:
“Ap Kiya Jaane Aulaad Ka Dukh Kiya Hota Hai, Apki Khudki Aulaad Hoti To Pata Hota”
As soon as the words were out, she quickly realized she had hit a sore spot and quickly apologized to Dr. Bilal who proved to be very understanding as he knew she was not in her right frame of mind.
Adeel Farooqui is becoming getting more annoying by the day. He wants Shayan to make all compromises and understand Maleeha’s mental state while Maleeha is not ready to understand anything. He was the person who gave the idea to Maleeha to show interest in Shayan in the first place, he was the one to encourage her and as a result she is now completely obsessed with Shayan. Shayan gave him a piece of his mind when he tried to console Shayan that with time you both will understand each other. Shayan clearly told him that he may be able to tolerate her childish behavior since he is her father but as her husband, I would not tolerate such childish behavior so it is better if you make her understand instead of lecturing me. It seems that Maleeha and Shayan’s marriage would not last for long!
Maleeha will play some sinister games in the next episode as she had vowed that she will kick Irfa out of Shayan’s life and she would go to any extent to do that. Let’s see what is in store for us in the next episode!
It is a more like a principal for the successful nations that they do not forget their mentors and the real heroes and keeps them alive ever and ever, learning from their lives and sometimes praising and admiring them for the manifest work they did. It has been two years today that the senior artist, host, comedian, actor, director and what not Mr. Moin Akhtar left his fans, leaving behind endless reasons to miss his presence.
Been born on 24th December 1950, Moin Akhtar was all in all a dynamite having command over every shade which was related to the media industry. From the roles of opposite gender to the hosting of Loose talk, from the journey that he started with theatre work to the humorous dramas and sitcoms, Moin Akhtar proved it that he knew how to grabbed audience’s attention and how to basically conquer screen. He was a man of knowledge and his personality too contributed equally in making him what he is remembered for.
He left his family, fans and colleagues crying two years back, that is April 22nd, 2011 and even today he is been missed and remembered by the entire showbiz industry and the people affiliated to it.
We, the team of Reviewit.pk, on the behalf of all our readers pay a tribute to this great artist and salute him for the magnificent work he has done to keep his viewers entertained.
Today our drama industry is flourishing. All sorts of subjects are being filmed and new comers are also getting chances. Thus,it is golden period for our industry which is a positive sign by all means.Just like every other era, certain actors and actresses are very popular. They are youth icons and people follow them blindly.Their dressing, their activities and projects are a point of discussion among their fans so much so that uttering a word against them lands in your trouble.
Among today’s actors who have assumed iconic status in the hearts and minds of people, mega star Fawad Afzal Khan is the top of the list. He’s followed like crazy by countless fans and uttering even an unfavorable word against him would make you punching bag for these fans.Similarly,Mahira Khan,Saba Qamar,Amina Sheikh,Mikal Zulfiqar,Ashan Khan,Sanam Baloch etc are other popular stars who command tremendous fan following also. All of them are marvelous and versatile actors who have proven their worth time and again.
But the question is that do their star power overtake the subjects or themes tackled by the projects they feature in.For instance,Fawad Afzal Khan appeared in Geo’s Ashk. Everyone agreed that it was an apology of a script but still audiences watched for the sheer star power of Fawad. Had it not been Fawad, the serial wouldn’t have got the ads or following it got. Similarly,Jo Chalay To Jan se guzar gaye was an average drama at best and because of Saba Qamar’s and Noman Ijaz’s presence many people followed it.
On the flip side, absence of suitable actors led to certain dramas not getting the required popularity/ratings. Mata-e-Jaan hai tu and zard mausam are prime examples of it where the casting was criticized constantly along with changes made in the original story lines. Therefore, popular actors can make ordinary/bad stories work and unpopular actors cannot work good stories workable. We as audience need to think now whether we appreciate good stories or just like to see our popular and loved actors. As long as we continue to go for actors, makers would continue to cast them as their recipe for success rather than strong story line. And yes I am ready for all those who’d say that this phenomenon is common across the world and not unique to Pakistani TV Industry.Still,we need to think and mature as audiences.
The man who rules the heart of many fans, the man who has given a pause to the careers of many hot hunks of the Pakistan’s drama industry, the handsome Fawad Khan seems anxious about serving humanity along with the media industry of Pakistan. It was heard that the actor will soon be conducting a Gala dinner to raise charity for “Shaukat Khanum-Cancer Hospital”, which was held yesterday, that is, Saturday, April 20th.
Fawad Khan, along with many other celebrities were seen in the event, showing their positive side towards the cancer patients. Fawad, being the chief guest remained the centre of attention of the event. It was also few months back that Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan were seen in a similar event to support Imran Khan’s Shuakat Khanum Hospital and it is again that the busy celebrity took out a decent time from his life to spend sometimes for the people who have contributed their share for the welfare of the cancer patients.
Here are a few pictures from the event. Have a look!
We appreciate his efforts to stand for a good cause,
Meera suceeds to be in news again. Yes, this time not for her exceptional english or marriage rumors, but for something that is serious enough to dram your attention towards. Meera has been sued by producer Ajay Yadav for leaving his film in a lurch. Meera was signed for the movie Bhadaas and according to the terms and conditions of the agreement the actress was supposed to be in India till April 30th, to ensure that the producing team completes the movie in time, However, the actress left the country without informing the producer, leaving the movie in a critical state. The movie was expected to be released in the starting of May but due to the inconvenience Meera has caused to Yadav, the dubbing hasn;t been started yet.
The producer talked about the issue in the following words:
“According to our agreement, she can’t leave the country till April 30, but she has gone without informing me. The film releases on May 24 and she won’t be here for the promotions. I can’t hold the film till she’s back, so I’ve lodged a complaint with the Versova Police Station.
I’ve managed to complete the dubbing, but the promotions are yet to begin”
Due to the political instatbility in the country, the elections of 2013 have given a new way to the celebrities to show their existance in the political field as well and Meera is a significant one here. She has been trying to fight in elections and probably this might be one of the reasons that she left her movie in between to come back to her country.
Lets see what really happens to this case against Meera, but there is one thing for sure that such a thing would definitely affect Meera’s acting career and her credibility in India.
What a heart wrenching episode! Sanam Jung stole the show with her superb acting and she was without any doubt the ultimate star of this episode. It was the best performance given by her in all the episodes that have gone on air so far. Silah is finally taking a stand for herself after continuously being humiliated and degraded by Adeel who left no chance to vent his frustration on her. She was upset with him at first because of his stubbornness on not letting her work and to help them come out of their financial crises which is getting worse by the day.
“Main To Apke Liyeah Zid Aur Ana Ka Masla Ban Gaee Hun, Apki Nazar Mein Mere Koi Mayene Hee Nahi”
Silah was patient throughout all their problems but she lost her cool when Affan got sick and they had no money to take him to the hospital. The scene where she leaves her home all tensed and worried, roaming the streets with a sick Affan in her hand was just heart breaking to watch. The scene where she fell on the road and Aijaz Aslam made his entry was brilliantly directed and executed. He turned out to be the savior of the day and quickly took Affan and Silah to the hospital when Silah requested him to help her.
Aijaz Aslam plays the role of Ahmer, a rich man with a big heart. He stayed with Silah at the hospital till Affan got better, paid all the bills and even dropped her safely at home. Silah could not stop thanking him again and again for his help as she was now in his debt for a lifetime. Ahmer seems like an extremely down to earth person as he clearly refused to take the money which Silah returned for the hospital bills.
Adeel was left helpless when Affan got sick as he had no money to take him to the hospital. I felt sympathy for him when he said these dialogues:
“Kitna Badnaseeb Shaks Hun, Apne Bache Ki Jaiz Zaruriat Bhi Poori Nahi Kerparaha. Mein Is Masoom Ke Liyeah Islyeah Kuch Nahi Kerparaha Kiunke Mere Paas Paise Nahi Hai”
It was the first time I realized what he must be going through and why he feels so frustrated. The feeling of not being able to support his family is killing him inside and that is the reason why he is irritated and angry all the time. One thing which I do not understand is why does he have such a big ego? He makes such a big issue out of petty things because he feels his self respect is hurt. He does not want Silah to get a job because his ego and self respect would get hurt. He was angry when Silah took Affan to the doctor alone and did not wait for him to come back; he even had an issue with a stranger helping them and Silah coming in his car in the night! Well Adeel, if she would have waited for you then Affan’s condition would have gotten worse! He also overreacted when Silah told him that she can request Ahmer for his job as his ego again came in between. Adeel has become completely blinded by his ego and his stubbornness to not take anyone’s help, especially Silahs’. But after witnessing what Affan went through, he kept his ego aside for a while and went so far as to beg for a job from his temporary employer.
Silah finally gave up on him and went and asked Ahmer for a job for herself and Ahmer being a kind hearted and helpful person, gave her a job immediately. Then came the biggest task for Silah to accomplish that is to inform Adeel. She stood firm and did not waver from her decision to work and support the family. As expected, Adeel got furious and upset at Silah and told her that she can do what she wants to and they had their first serious fight.
I had been hoping Zoya would not turn negative but it seems like she would be the reason for all the misunderstanding created between Silah and Adeel. On one hand, she is instigating Silah against Adeel and on the other hand she would be filing Adeel’s ears against Silah.
Next week’s episode will be full of misunderstandings as Silah and Adeel’s relationship would get affected by all the recent happenings. Let’s hope their relation would be strong enough to face the storm that is moving towards them!
Keep Watching and do share your views about the episode!
Just after enjoying a happy period after her marriage, it seems like Syra Yousuf is now back into the field with more power, new look and better versatility. She is now anxious to focus on her career after being in limelight for her marriage with Behroze Sabzawari’s son Shehroze. The couple, itself has been earning much popularity for itself due to its immense cuteness and elegancy.
It is now that Syra is seen in an advertisement as well and recently she did a photo-shoot for the Lawn collection, becoming a brand ambassador for the launch. Been affiliated with Bashir Ahmad textiles, the new project of Limited edition lawn collection seem a good deal and an opportunity to make a comeback and grab some decent earning.
The company has also collaborated with the designer Khizer Durrani and the designs of the new rival in the lawn fight are quite unique and appealing. As suggested by the designer, the color contrast and the theme is much near to the funky collection and has been called the colors of 2013!
Syra, in her short hair looks quite pretty in the contemporary-yet-traditional out-fits. The shoot seems to be held at a ship where the background further, is adding extra weightage to the shoot.
No doubts about the fact that the company has made a wise decision choosing Syra to be it brand ambassador. We hope that Syra’s fans would soon grab the opportunity, turning it into a profitable one for the company, Syra and for themselves as well.
This latest episode started with highlighting the different ways in which Rafia and Ghazala think. While on one hand Rafia is constantly advising her daughter that she should try her best to do everything she can in order to live upto the expectations of her husband and to go the extra mile to get closer to her in laws, on the other hand Ghazala is bent on proving to Zaroon that Kashaf is a typical girl from a middle class family to whom money matters more than anything else. When she asks Zaroon about his visit to Kashaf’s house, her intention clearly was to highlight the class difference between the two. Rafia was right when she told Kashaf that she had not spend enough time with her mother in law therefore she did not know Kashaf well enough to judge her on the basis of who she is but judges her on the basis of her background…this goes to show that Ghazala is prejudiced and like Kashaf said she will have to work very hard to change the way she thinks about her. The fact that Kashaf tried to get closer to her in laws despite of all her fears only because her mother made her realize that it was the right thing to do, went to prove that no matter how we perceive Kashaf’s character, she is actually your normal average typical girl who wants to do whatever she can in order to make her marriage work. The way she reacted when Zaroon did not tell her just how much he missed her when she called to tell him she had reached and her reaction to Zaroon being busy with his friend’s later on went to show that like any other new bride, she longs for her husband’s undivided attention and wants to hear him tell her just how much he loves her.
I really like Zaroon’s approach when it comes to tackling different issues; he listens to his mother patiently and does not tell her that he did not agree with her even though he clearly disagrees with her and even after the argument he has with Kashaf after she does not answer his calls all night, he still takes the first step and sets the rules as he goes. Kashaf may not tell him just how much she misses him but he is quite happy with the clues she leaves him with and derives the right conclusions from them. Zaroon Junaid has certainly grown into a very sensible person and Kashaf has clearly changed too. Kashaf does not even give a hint to Ghazala that she heard what she said about Kashaf and that certainly says a lot about how much Kashaf has changed.
The scene that followed after Kashaf heard Ghazala’s conversation with Zaroon was simply heart breaking. The way Kashaf tells her mother “ami mujhe chor samajhte hai vo” and breaks down was heart wrenching. If Kashaf was still the person that she used to be, she would have given up on Ghazala altogether and would have given Zaroon a very tough time too but she knows that she has to work hard to make this relationship work and she is willing to spend the rest of her life trying to convince Ghazala that she is not a greedy person. I really like the way Rafia explains things to Kashaf, when she tells her “hur class ka admi dusri class ke bare mei ghult fehmi rakhta hai”; this is something Kashaf could relate to because she had a lot of misconceptions about people belonging to the upper class too. Kashaf’s reaction to the news that she has been transferred to the news was too cute for words; she couldn’t stop smiling.
It was good to see that Asmara has moved on and that chapter is closed, whatever she thinks of Zaroon now does not matter much now does it;) This particular scene seemed quite unnecessary though since Asmara had nothing new to say really. The precap for the next episode seems alarming, just like the last one did but it was good to see that there was no big misunderstanding between Kashaf and Zaroon today.
Here are few of my favorite moments from today’s episode:
– Kashaf sitting and wondering whether she should call Zaroon or not and then deciding to call him.
– Zaroon establishing rules for a healthier relationship.
– Kashaf’s attitude towards the people at the workplace changes after the phone call from Zaroon.
My favorite dialogues from today’s episode:
“Vo log tu hamare khanda ka hisa nahi banay beta, tum unke khandaan ka hisa bani ho, is liye tumhare paas un ke liye wakt hona chahyeh”. Totally agree with Rafia’s advice, a girl always has to change herself and work hard to adjust in the new home. Obviously it is the duty of the boy’s family also to their best to make the new bride comfortable and not judge her but if that does not happen than the girl has no choice but to change the way her in laws feel.
“Pata nahi aj yeh ghur itna khali kyun lug raha hai”.
“kher ab tumhe itna bhi sukoon nahi hai, agur hota tu tum pagal na ho jati mere phone na kurne pur”
“so kur dilkhao mujhe”
The funniest dialogues from today’s episode had to be “you insulted my intelligence”…really Asmara, you have got to be kidding me ;)

One word that kept on popping in my mind the whole time I was watching the episode was ‘IMPOSSIBLE’. There are so many points in which all the characters have diligently justified this word. I am glad that the drama is turning out to be more meaningful & is now showing clearly the paths of Natasha & Zeb. There are some disappointments, not in regards to the drama but at how the characters are unwinding their lives for themselves.
Natasha is one lucky girl who has found everything that a girl needs to stay happy BUT she is trying so hard to ruin it. I was kind of shocked to see how cleanly she mentions to Rayaan that she is not feeling at home because Bilal has no say in the business. Even though she’s the youngest but she is not at all innocent for her age. She has her ways of making things work only for herself & that justifies her as nothing but ‘mean’. It was rather unpleasant to see her degrading her husband just because he works under his brother, & for this reason, Natasha should lower her silliness a couple of notches down.
Natasha’s in laws & her husband are perfect people, except Munize & Mahjabeen, but none of the other family members have ever given her a chance to complain about anything. She does what she likes, she can do whatever she wants & still she was treating her husband like some doormat. I don’t quite get what she actually wants? She wanted to go to USA, she got it. She wanted a good husband, she has found a guy much much better than her but still she has some serious issues going on & all this while she was just acting like someone who’s so hard to be with. She indeed turned out to be impossible.
Of all the silly things she has done, her funniest were the Skype session & the price tag on the shirt. She looked really DUMB that all this while she was actually posing in front of her mother that she is in a bliss but when she actually is blessed, she is not understanding it’s importance & is being unthankful. No doubt Meera Sethi has done a wonderful job as Natasha but this character is unbearable now.
What Zeb did was wrong too. She has gotten herself so much involved in Dilawar’s family & their problems that she didn’t even want to think about the problems that could arise due to her lack of interest & trust in her relationship & in her fiancé Mikaal & Zeb were both right in their own ways but what Mikaal expected of Zeb wasn’t something impossible or major. He just wanted her to trust him & stick to what she has promised. He was actually right that just at the beginning of their relation if she starts hiding things, they will have a huge trust issue when they will move forward. They were really good friends & Zeb took him that way more seriously that she did when he became her fiancé which was Zeb’s fault. I guess she got over with the engagement thing too quickly & felt herself trapped because may be all this while she has lived independently & has made her own decisions, that’s why she was finding it hard to do what Mikaal expected of her. I so wanted to shake Zeb to wake up for what she was doing when she was letting Mikaal go. How could she lose such a gem of a person so easily? It was sad to see that happen.
Their engagement ended a bit too suddenly & without any major issue that could actually end a long-term friendship & the engagement. Plus Zeb has always been running away from Natasha because she knows she’s intolerable, so how easily could she agree to visit her sister, knowing on what terms they both have parted? Munize was being impossible too. She on her own is right that why just because of some nasty sister-in-law, she shouldn’t visit her brother’s place but Munize should understand that her brothers are married & do not need a finger to hold onto just so that someone could lead a way. She is younger to Rayaan so she should act that way.
Overall, I loved the episode & especially the conversations Zeb had twice with her mother & once with her father. They were so simply written but carried such huge meanings. Plus now we know how Zeb & Rayaan will end up together as she is visiting Natasha. I find it a bit amusing that Munize is so over the two sisters that she doesn’t want to face them, I can’t wait to see what explosion would happen in her mind when she will find out that Rayaan is interested in Zeb now too. I love the pace of the drama & how the story throws something new every-time we watch it. Share your views.
This was yet another engaging and meaningful episode of Mirat-ul-Uroos. Time flies away a little too quickly when you are watching this play and at this point I simply love the pace of the show. I also like the way the characters are so well etched out; sometimes the reactions and happenings can be very predictable but I have come to the conclusion that it isn’t always something bad for the characters to be predictable. The reason I am saying this is that it really really makes me extremely happy everytime Aima tells Hashim openly in loud and clear words that he should not rely on her in any way financially. She never softens up as far as her principles about financial matters and the role Hashim is supposed to play in the family is concerned. She really made me proud today when she told him right in the face that she was there to share his burden but he should not think that she will completely relieve him of his duties. Hashim and Hammad both have been complete disappointments. Hammad’s guilt pangs every now and then never seem to affect his behavior in any way…anything that Ayza says goes even though he may not agree with her ever. Hashim on the other hand had the guts to tell Aima that he was considering leaving the job since Aima was working now and maybe she could do some overtime…seriously when will this man learn? He is what we call a total loser and I wonder when is he going to change, seems like there is no hope for him in the near future.
One thing I am very happy about is that Wajahat is out looking for a job. He has a sound health and a lot of experience so why not? There is nothing wrong with working until your health allows it and nowadays older people continue working even after their retirement which I am sure helps them in so many ways. Every person needs to feel useful and someone who has earned all his life must not feel good looking towards his children for money especially when the children are like Hashim and Hammad.
Rafia did seem to feel a little ashamed when Hashim gave her the money and told her that Aima contributed too but she did not feel bad enough to actually apologize to Aima or even say something nice to her, maybe because she could not muster up the courage to do so. I couldn’t help but feel for Zain; of course he is careless and I also agree that going abroad is not going to solve his problems, but I did feel like Hammad shouldn’t have let him down the way he did and the way Aima just dropped the bomb on him did not seem very fair. The way Ayza looked at Zain when he was talking to Hammad went to show that there is no place in Ayza’s heart for Hammad’s family at all. Aima on the other hand is doing everything in her power for her in laws and I am pretty sure that it will pay off in the end. I am waiting to see Hashim change more than anything else.
Akbari’s dialogue about Durr-e-Shehwar and Guddu’s remark about her being Shandana was hilarious; it brought back memories and was spot on! Akbari comparing herself to Durr-e-Shehwar, how ironic is that!! I have a feeling that Hamnah and Farhan will end up getting married but I also cannot see Nasir taking a stand in front of Akbari or his brother…can’t wait to find out how the story unfolds.
I have to say that Mirat-ul-Uroos has proved to be a very subtle and sincere effort by the entire team to bring forward some very important problems that are part of every second household and it does not only highlight problems but also gives solutions. No doubt family is a very strong unit and a few wise people in a family who put in their honest effort can help other family members overcome any kind of problems. I missed Asghari in today’s episode but thoroughly enjoyed it nevertheless. This latest installment was flawless from the beginning to the end and I am definitely looking forward to next week’s episode.
Seems like we will have to wait for Umera Ahmed’s “Amar Bail” as according to the latest update, the idea of remaking the drama has been delayed. It was only few hours back that we shared a news that was circulating on the social media and Drama forums that Umera Ahmed’ popular novel “Amar Bail” will be coming up somewhere this year with Fawad Khan and Nida Khan in the roles of Umar and Alizay. The news, which already shook half of the fans further added new levels of excitement and the social media was all loaded with gossips. While few fans discussed how the first picturization of the drama disappointed Umera Ahmed’s fans, other too kept themselves busy in criticizing Nida’s selection for the role.
As stated in the original piece of information, the relevancy of the news was quite in danger and the fears have turned into a reality as Umera Ahmed’s Official Page has confirmed that currently no such project is been done. It is true that “Amar Bail” would soon be reproduced but the idea has been delayed for some time.
Moreover, the spokesman of the page mentioned that they haven’t decided the casts yet and for the stated cast in the rumor, Fawad and Nida are not even considered!
Here is a reply that has been given countering the new-cum-rumor:
With this, it is for sure that having Fawad Khan in the role of Umar will be a dream now. However, it should be seen that the viewers were quite excited about the project and such a thing in future would be taken open arms by the audience, :)
Rahogi Tum Wohi, in the very first episode where they set the plot & the base for the whole drama, I felt they have succeeded in getting the message through. Very slowly yet beautifully they told the story of most of the households & the miserable state of certain marriages.
All the while, I was actually struggling to know whether the lead character Faiza was able to speak or she wasn’t gifted with this sense but she broke the ice in the end. She is a simple woman who works at an NGO & runs her house too. She did seem a bit spaced out at times & at times she looked frustrated. She is married to a husband who actually liked her in the beginning of their marriage but now seems someone who is impossible to please.
There were many parts which were done beautifully & they told a tale in their own. At first, Faiza’s husband claims that the married women leave everything & have nothing to do with book reading or do not strive to broaden their intellectual vision, whereas, Faiza has a whole collection of books that she loves to read. When she is busy in her hobby her husband straight away underestimates her saying you ain’t learning anything from this activity & do not read again.
In the past when Faiza is forcing her kids hard to study, her husband drops in & tells her not to enforce studies on them but when their son fails to score good marks, he solely holds Faiza responsible for it. She is for sure married to a person who loves to look down on his wife & is not ready to listen to her. He is just the one who talks one-handedly & gives her a hard time. In each & every one-sided conversation they have, Faiza’s husband is completely degrading her for what she has become & how silent she is. However, completely ignoring the fact that it is he who has turned her that way.
Faiza seems like a person who is in touch with her intellectual self. Even though she sees & faces a few miseries on the daily basis but puts them into beautiful words & utters those questions to herself. She is obviously now happy with how her life has turned out to be & is afraid to open up in front of her husband because even though she doesn’t do it, she knows that her husband will find a way to bicker.
We don’t know what this drama holds & how it will unfold, but for now it does seem like it will focus on the roller-coaster ride of emotions that two people face when they live under one roof & how they grow out of one another.
We recently shared a news about the new drama “Shab-e-Arzoo Ka Aalam” that will go on air from April 22nd, on ARY Digital, and here we are again, sharing all the latest crisp that has been leaked out about the show.
Been directed by Sohail Javed, the drama is a magnificent piece of script by Aneeza Syed. The story revolves around two characters where both of them go through a similar situation and leave out the rest for the sake of love. What makes the two ends different is the tragedy due to which the boy leaves everything to be with his love whereas the girl had to stay away from her love to be with her family.
The drama enjoys a rich cast that will definitely help the ratings of the serial. Mohib Mirza and Armeena Rana Khan are the central characters, whereas,Shehryar Zaidi, Asad, Mansha Pasha, Qazi Wajid, Saba Faisal and Ayesha Toor will also be seen in the drama.
It seems that Mansha has finally got a role for herself which seems pretty different from the ones he has had been doing. It is to be sure that she has also made a good fan following which would definitely follow the show to see what new does she has to show in her acting.
Here are a few official clicks of the drama, speaking all about it, Have a look!
The first episode managed to capture my interest and pretty soon it will also manage to capture the interests of the audiences. I wanted to see this show in the first place because Faisal Qureshi and Ayeza Khan were the main leads and I always wanted to see them paired together in a show. The show is directed by Furqan Khan and written by Samina Ejaz. The first episode mainly revolved around the introductions of all the characters in the show.
I would first start with Ayeza Khan who plays the role of Maryam who seems to be a typical average girl with dreams of her own. She is a very simple girl who is the exact contrast of her sister. While her sister Amna is bold and outspoken, Maryam’s character is more subtle, quiet and shy who likes to share thoughts in her diary rather than sharing them openly. I simply loved the cute bonding between the sisters. It seems like Amna’s favorite hobby is to tease and annoy her sister mercilessly!
Now coming to the male lead of the show; Faisal Qureshi plays the role of Zayaan who made an impressive entry with his very first scene. Zayaan seems like a serious, stern and practical person whose life revolves around his work. His mother and his sister, Afsha keeps on pestering him to get married to Afsha’s sister in law Faiza but Zayaan is not in favor of the marriage and seems least interested in the proposal. Afsha keeps on insisting him about the proposal due to the pressure from her husband and in laws who want to make Zayaan their son in law. It seems that he would not willingly say yes to Faiza and according to the promos he will not get married to her.
The episode was based on Maryam’s proposal and her engagement to Umair. His character seemed mysterious and I sensed from the beginning that something about him was just not right. He did not seem much interested in Maryam and was not in the least excited about his marriage. Maryam, on the other hand had woven her dreams about her marriage and looked forward to her marriage. Maryam did not show much interest in the beginning but Amna managed to make her agree to the proposal as her enthusiasm seemed to be infectious and Maryam finally agreed and the engagement took place.
However, her happiness was short lived as just when her marriage date was approaching, she got the shock of her life when she saw Umair with another girl. I loved the way Amna stood up for her sister and gave Umair a piece of her mind and Maryam had to drag her from there to stop her from creating a huge scene. Maryam’s dreams were shattered after knowing the truth about Umair. Now I am very curious to know how Zayaan and Maryam will finally meet! I am looking forward to see both of them together.
Overall, it was an entertaining episode and I liked all the members in Maryam’s family. They seemed like the perfect family and each member supported the other through thick and thin. Zayaan, however did not seem to have any close bonding with his family as his workaholic nature did not let him spend much time with his mother or sister.
Faisal Qureshi was as usual outstanding and has played the role of Zayaan to perfection. Faisal Qureshi has the ability to mold into any character perfectly and I love this quality about him. Ayeza’s acting was good but her character seemed very similar to her role in Kahi Unkahi.
I am looking forward to its next episode when the actual story will finally start. I would rate this episode a 3/5. I have a lot of expectations from this show. Let’s see what it has in store for us in the future!
Surprize! We are here with a news that would definitely be a treat for the Pakistan’s drama lovers. According to the social media’s official fan page and the largest Indian forum, India-forums, the news has been leaked that it is Fawad Khan, along with Nida Khan who have been selected for an upcoming drama serial Amar Bail, been written by the phenomenal writer Umera Ahmed. Nothing more has been revealed yet about the topic but there is one thing for sure that Umera’s fans would definitely love this news as it is Amar Bail after Peer-e-Kamil(pbuh) which takes the reader in some other world which apparently seems reality.
Fawad Khan will be seen in the role Umar, the central character of the novel, whereas Nida would be impersonating Aliza’s character. For those who don’t recognize Nida Khan, she is an actress less seen on screen. She was the daughter of Parsa in the the drama serial Paarsa that went on air on Hum TV.
While going through the feedbacks, it can be seen that the audience is pretty excited about the news but also want to have a change in the ending of the story. Moreover, many of the viewers aren’t happy with Nida’s casting in the drama.
Lets see how far this news remains a news, it is difficult to comment about current moves been taken for this project,
It is turning into a trait of our drama industry that the actresses, after reaching to a peak of popularity suddenly go off-screen and make a power comeback with either a new style or a new controversy. After Nadia Khan and Shaista Wahidi, It is Jugan who has been working out really hard on her fitness and now is enthusiastic for the new roles and opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Jugan has been hosting many shows and is also seen in many advertisements but it was for some time that her acting career went at hold state, thanks to Hum2 that the old shows like Pani jaisa pyaar kept the lady on screen.
It is now that Jugan has really worked hard in getting her slimmer, reducing some real weight. No doubt about the fact that the actress is really talented and the audience adore her for her guise.
We hope to see Jugan in upcoming dramas with some powerful roles,
One of the most versatile model-turned-actress Amina Sheikh has lately been seen adopting new avatars for herself, sometimes modeling for a brand and sometimes showing the real chemistry with her husband Mohib Mirza in photo-shoots.
