Recently a news story went viral in Karachi. The reason, it was stated that a man had killed a robber at the Boat Basim area of Karachi, when he was approached for mugging. The robber had died on spot and people had appreciated the man for his bravery for defying the robbery and taking a wise decision on spot.
However, in a rather unexpected turn of events, television actress Komal Aziz has come up as an eye witness to the entire scenario, stating that she saw the incident before her eyes and the man murdered wasn’t done so in self defense.
In a video interview, Komal Aziz, is heard stating that she saw the death body lying in front of her house for more than 15 minutes, even before people could reach him and that he carried no weapon as claimed by the murderer. Komal also says that upon searching on the internet and talking to the man’s family, she found out that he wasn’t a robber and that the murder had taken place because of an ulterior motive.
In the video, Komal says that the murderer Haseeb, had been waiting around patiently near his car right below her apartment until he was approached by the victim Sanaullah. “Upon Sanaullah’s arrival, Haseeb shot him in the heart at a point blank range. Had it been in self defense, Haseeb wouldn’t have shot Sanaullah multiple times. Also if he had suspected a robbery, Haseeb had ample time to drive off and avoid the entire incident.”
Komal Aziz had also shared on her Instagram story that this incident had taken place because of a girl and had requested the police not to be lenient with the murderer because he was rich and well connected.
It seems like the police is now investigating the matter at hand. Regardless of what the truth is, kudos to Komal for coming out courageously, without fearing for her own life and speaking against a murderer.

Ohkay so, this was yet another brilliant episode of Alif which was filled with meaningful & thought-provoking conversations every step of the way. What I enjoy the most while watching every other episode of Alif is how easily the conversations flow & how flawlessly they tell the state of mind of every single character. It actually is quite easy to go off track & lose the essence when every other conversation carries so much meaning & is actually designed to leave an impact but Umera Ahmed & Haseeb Hassan have been successful in conveying the essence of the story. This episode of Alif was beautiful & yes, there were again such moments where I got emotional. Alif is the kind of drama that stays with you even after you’re done watching it & the credit goes to the entire team, starting from the writer, to director to actors for making Alif what it is.
The Challenge:
Abdul Alla & Qalb e Momin’s conversations were straight forward, honest & clearly showed where they both stood in terms of their ideologies & perspectives. Abdul Alla is unable to actually understand what has gone into Momin, this is why he keeps on reminding him of who he was. Abdul Alla has actually assessed it right from the beginning that Momin is lost – he has lost his spirituality, he is also losing his faith & he is not in touch with who he used to be & unfortunately, this is something that Momin does not even realize. Their conversations were the best part of this entire episode. Abdul Alla is sorted, he knows he has to convey the right message to Momin but Momin is not ready to take it because he is not at that level of wisdom yet.
During their argument, Momin always found himself getting rattled at the confidence that Abdul Alla had in himself. This is something that actually made Momin wonder what is it that makes Abdul Alla so self-sufficient & emotionally strong, because in Momin’s perspective, his grandfather does not have all those things which Momin equates to the success of a person. Every single time Momin tried to convince Abdul Alla, he had an answer that left Momin speechless. Momin found himself getting outbid by Abdul Alla & this is something that he does not understand where it comes from.
‘Qalb e Momin kuch nahi kar sakta jab tak ke Allah na chahay. Qalb e Momin ke haath, insaan ke haath hain, shukr karega to payega, gharoor karega to gawayega’ – Abdul Alla let Qalb e Momin know very clearly how incapable he is. Momin has come to a stage in his life where he thinks he can do whatever he wants, he has actually not experienced failure & this is the reason why Momin’s confidence has driven him to the point of arrogance.
Momin accepted the challenge of Abdul Alla & in fact let him know that he will return successful than ever before. Momin does not know yet that the spirituality Abdul Alla talks about all the time does not come naturally to a person, it has to be looked out for, there’s a connection that has to be established in order to taste what it feels like. Qalb e Momin is obviously taking it as a challenge but this actually is the beginning of a new journey for him & he doesn’t realize it right now. Abdul Alla only wants Momin to think & he has actually convinced him to do so, he has planted the seed of curiosity in Momin & what a beautiful way of letting a lost soul wander to the right path. Another beautiful aspect of their relationship is that despite their differences, Abdul Alla & Qalb e Momin share such a strong bond. Abdul Alla especially has not let his differences with Momin get in the way of how he still sees him as his beloved grandchild that he loves & cherishes. Qalb e Momin at this point still holds Abdul Alla responsible for the rift between Taha & Husn e Jahan, he also feels Abdul Alla looks down on him because he is Husn e Jahan’s son but these are all his own complexes which he tries to hold Abdul Alla responsible for. Qalb e Momin tries to read between the lines while completely missing the point that Abdul Alla is straightforward & he calls a spade a spade. I can not wait to see the time when Momin will actually understand Abdul Alla’s thought process & his perspective as it will be quite a revelation for him.
Momina’s Reward:
Faisal decided to get engaged to Momina & Momina accepted it. Momina has been dealing with a lot in her professional life but still she stood her ground firm because she knows she has to take care of her parents without compromising on her values. Faisal & his mother are no different from one another & she made it pretty obvious to Momina’s parents that she was doing them a favor by getting her son engaged to their daughter. It is quite obvious that both Faisal & his mother feel they are in a position to draw boundaries for Momina because of their status & the favors they are going to be doing for her family. Momina is happy but she is practical & may be the years she has spent away from Faisal has made her stubborn to the point where she will not let anything take her mind off of her priorities. Yes, Momina wants to get married to Faisal but she also does not want him to do anything for her financially because she has gotten used to fending for herself. I liked seeing how Momina spoke to Faisal honestly about her work & her responsibilities. Faisal is actually mistaken that Momina will thrilled or excited enough to be naively doing what he’d expect her to do. May be the way Faisal left her & got engaged to someone else has left some kind of doubts in her mind & this is why she is not letting it get to her head that she got the love of her life. Momina has lost her brother & this is why, she doesn’t find it hard seeing everything as temporary as it can be – be it someone’s life, someone’s promises, someone’s existence or her happiness. Yes, she did recall the things Master Ibrahim has said to her in the past but the way she dealt with this relationship with a lot of practicality went to show how far she has become in terms of maturity.
All the conversations related to Jahangir were emotional. He is gone but he is obviously not forgotten, in times of happiness everyone remembers him because he has left such a void in their hearts. Momina hates Qalb e Momin because of Jahangir, another conversation which just flowed & showcased Momina’s mindset & her feelings for him. While Momin is trying to explore the new domain, Momina has no idea that he is about to experience failure. The Google scene was quite an interesting & amusing take on Qalb e Momin’s lack of knowledge about spirituality. He thinks just like all of the previous subjects that he has explored & mastered, this one will be a piece of cake which he will be able to easily elaborate in his film but he is soon going to learn the biggest truth of his life – something that Abdul Alla had said “Qalb e Momin is nothing”.
Closing Thoughts – A Feeling & An Experience:
Overall, this episode of Alif was beautiful & magical. I absolutely loved all the dialogues of this episode. Every single episode of Alif seems like a work of art & by adding so much of depth & meaning to it, they have made it a class apart. Alif I feel is not something that is easy to be described in words, it actually is a feeling & an experience – a magic. Acting, direction, dialogues, art direction, editing & all the little details are simply perfect. Please share your thoughts about this beautiful episode of Alif.
This was a powerful, satisfying and emotional episode of Mere Pass Tum Ho, perfectly put together by the entire team. It had the sweetest (Rumi and Danish) and the most gratifying (Shahwar and Danish) scenes to its credit. The dialogue ‘Samjo tu yahan se ghr torne ke jurm ki saza shru hoti hei’was the most meaningful dialogue tonight. Tonight’s episode of Mere Pass Tum Ho also showed that Danish’s weakness turned into his strength when Rumi made him realize that he was banking on him! No more Mr. nice guy would be the best way to explain the change in Danish’s personality tonight. His reactions, the dialogues and that one conversation with Rumi on the phone basically summed up everything Danish was till date and what he wanted to be now. The child star playing Rumi is absolutely adorable and the director Nadeem Baig deserves due credit for capturing his beautiful expressions. Even though some of the things Danish said to Rumi, made me wonder why he was sharing such details with such a young kid but Rumi’s innocence outshone everything else.
Rumi Makes a Decision
Tonight’s episode opened with a confident Mehwish asking the headmistress to see her son. She obviously did not expect such a reaction from Rumi. Rumi’s conversation with Hania was penned down so well since it showed that although he missed his mother, he was not willing to forgive her. Rumi’s anger was the perfect way of showing what this child must have gone through when his mother disappeared all of a sudden. All the scenes tonight covering Rumi’s state of mind were the highlight of this episode. Watching him cry at night but acting like he was really strong during the day basically showed this child had so much to deal with at such a young age. While he made up his mind that he was not going to forgive his mother, he was willing to go along with his father’s wishes as well. The smile on Rumi’s face when Danish told him he was going to fight for him was priceless.
Mehwish and Hania’s confrontation was interesting. Mehwish’s shock and shaken confidence was translated well on screen by Ayeza Khan. Hania isn’t that bold or fearless after all, she was clearly confused and slightly scared when Mehwish told her off. This side of her personality was actually interesting to watch. The headmistress stepping in, made this scene so realistic. Later on, Hania too in a way urged Danish to take a stand for his son.
Danish Is No Longer Scared
The most important question ‘why did Danish treat Shahwar with so much respect’ was answered in the most apt manner tonight. All this time, he was ‘scared’ of Shahwar because he was rich and powerful. For the longest time, the viewers watched Danish call Shahwar ‘sahab’ and he never told him off and the viewers wondered why. Well, we found out today that he was always terrified of the repercussions and he always thought about the consequences. While he was quick to give Monty a piece of his mind, he never had a similar confrontation with Shahwar until today. Danish has always been shown as the ‘nice guy’ – a man who would try his best to avoid conflict. The conversation at the place he usually has his food definitely added to the change in him. Was it that listening to people talk about his personal life like that made him see things differently? Was it because he got the hint that Shahwar never got married to Mehwish? Did it make him realize what a coward he had been? Or was it the fact that no longer ‘feared’ Shahwar after listening to his own employees talk about him in that manner? Or maybe it was just anger. Even though he already had that conversation with Rumi but the way he told the guard about the divorce and called Rumi immediately clearly showed that the scene at the restaurant was the turning point for him.
Instead of playing it cool and thinking about things long before taking any action, Danish instantly decided to take things in his own hands after that. The thappar even then came as a complete surprise – definitely a pleasant one and Shahwar’s shocking expressions were extremely gratifying to watch. He deserved the slap and everything else. This scene obviously reminded me of their first meeting, when Shahwar made him wait and later on made him listen to that conversation! This time Danish was in no mood to wait or listen to what Shahwar had to say. It remains to be seen now how Shehwar will react. Everything happened so quickly and Danish’s entire body language was so confrontational that no one really got a chance to do anything. It was however strange that Shahwar did not even lift a finger, why? So far, we have seen a side of his personality which clearly showed that he does not take no for an answer and he knows how to get what he wants but why wouldn’t he hit Danish back in such a situation? Danish is no longer the heart broken and dejected lover but he is now a father who will do anything it takes to protect his son. This is going to be really interesting! Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui both gave outstanding performances once again tonight.
Final Remarks
Well, team Mere Pass Tum Ho sure knows how to keep the viewers completely hooked. Beautiful dialogues, superb performances coupled with Nadeem Baig’s phenomenal direction make every episode of Mere Pass Tum Ho a must watch. Although the change in Danish was the most important development tonight but little Rumi was the star of the show. His scenes were an absolute delight to watch. The preview of the next episode seemed interesting. Is Shahwar losing his grip? Will we see another side of his personality? What is next for Mehwish? Mehwish had so much faith that Shahwar will win this fight for him but it seems like he will probably not be too eager to pursue it. Is he scared of a scandal? Waiting to find out.
This episode had so many interesting conversations, many of which I mentioned in the review. Another one which definitely deserves a mention here was the one between Hania and her sister, the balaa dialogue was remarkable.

It is an actor’s job to always look good and presentable on-screen. The camera demands certain kinds of basic or in some cases no-makeup looks so that the concerns of the skin are not accentuated on the screen. For an actor, wearing makeup is a must, irrespective of the actor being a male or a female. The kind of makeup an actor wears is purely based on their personal preferences. Where some actors prefer to wear a lot of makeup, some actors do not really pay much heed to it and focus on their character and acting skills.
It is a bitter truth that fair complexion is often associated with beauty in Pakistani society. This is the kind of trend that has become prevalent all over Pakistan with skin clinics offering whitening injections to help those who have some kind of complexes related to their skin tones.
Over the period of time, a lot of young actors who joined the industry did come forward and spoke openly about how they were discriminated based on their skin color and how bluntly the producers had suggested them getting some kind of skin whitening treatments in order to lighten their complexion. There are a lot of actors who proved their mettle through acting only but we also got to see some actors changing their makeup preferences to appear fairer on-screen.
The makeup is basically a mask that comes off by the end of the day but to see a lot of actors and actresses wearing makeup lighter than their skin tone does reflect that they may not be comfortable with their complexions like how they used to be and they also want to look fair. It is interesting to note that despite having so much of experience, these actors have either ignored or missed the point that HD cameras pick every speck of makeup that is applied on their skin and not only that, the actual skin tones peek through as well.
Let’s take a look at the actors who try to look fair on-screen:
Zahid Ahmed
When Zahid Ahmed joined the showbiz industry, he immediately earned himself the title of ‘tall, dark and handsome’. For a considerable amount of time, Zahid Ahmed was appreciated for being comfortable in his skin and flaunting it confidently but not anymore. Over the period of time, Zahid Ahmed has started wearing a lot of makeup and foundations which are 3 or 4 shades lighter than his skin tone. In drama serial Pukaar, Zahid Ahmed actually looked a lot fairer than he actually is. Then came Visaal and now in Ishq Zahe Naseeb, his obsession with looking fair is pretty evident because of the kind of makeup he wears.
Fahad Mustafa
Fahad Mustafa became a part of the industry at a very young age, therefore his transformation and change in his looks, styling and overall personality is not a secret because his before and after pictures are widely available on the internet. Fahad Mustafa has definitely undergone whitening treatments to look fair and this is why the change in his skin tone is not only evident but is drastic. Fahad Mustafa is the kind of actor who does not mind resorting to any such procedures if they guarantee him looking good on screen, this is the reason why the difference in his complexion is obvious. Fahad Mustafa also doesn’t mind wearing lighter foundations to look fair.
Sanam Saeed
Sanam Saeed was known for being herself unconventionally and unapologetically. Sanam Saeed was one of those very few actresses who only focused on their acting and characters and looking glamorous was never her priority but that has most certainly changed over a period of time. When Sanam Saeed resumed work after a long break, she came back with a different mindset. In drama serial Deedan, her makeup, hair and glamour made her character look unreal. Sanam Saeed also wore a lighter shade foundation to look fair as well. Sanam Saeed always took pride in being just herself at her utmost comfort in her skin, therefore this new change in her styling makes one wonder whether she is still accepting of her skin tone or not?
Mohib Mirza
Mohib Mirza has also been a part of the industry for a very long time. More than acting, Mohib Mirza has showcased and proved his talent in terms of hosting. Mohib Mirza has been the kind of actor who does one project after a long gap, therefore he puts a lot of effort into giving a different look and styling to his characters. In his recent drama Deedan, it was quite obvious how Mohib Mirza had worn a lighter shade of foundation to look fair. In a recently released image of Mohib Mirza, he seems a lot fairer than ever before and it does make us wonder whether he has also jumped on the bandwagon and gotten skin whitening injections?
Jia Ali
Jia Ali has always spoken highly about how she is comfortable in her skin and how much she loves her beautiful dusky complexion but not sure what happens when she decides to work in drama serials. Jia Ali has been a part of a lot of dramas as a supporting character and her makeup is always off. She makes sure to look whitewashed in all of her dramas – this is something that was quite obvious in dramas like Pukaar and recently ended Meer Abru.
Imran Abbas
Imran Abbas is one such actor who wears a lot of makeup, to the point where his eye shadows, lip glosses and cheekbone highlighter is always picked up by the camera. Imran Abbas’ skin tone falls in the spectrum of fair tones but the kind of makeup he wears makes it obvious that he is trying to achieve an even fairer complexion which makes the amount of makeup worn by him even more visible on screen. May be Imran Abbas has not found the right shade of foundation that will do justice to his real skin tone and that is why he seems whitewashed in most of his dramas.
Zarnish Khan
Zarnish Khan has gone through a drastic transformation which shows she is now very conscious of the way she looks and wants to appear in her dramas. Zarnish Khan has not only changed her overall styling and her preferences but she also seems to be quite focused on looking glamorous and made up. Zarnish Khan is currently seen in dramas Jo Tu Chahay and Ishq Zahe Naseeb and the kind of makeup she has worn in both these projects shows that she has decided to look fairer than she actually is. Her overall makeup has been decently done but yes, the difference between her makeup and actual skin tone is pretty visible in every single scene.
Saad Qureshi
Saad Qureshi is comparatively a new addition to the drama industry but his obsession with makeup and looking fair is pretty evident. Saad Qureshi has worked back to back in dramas like Pukaar, Meer Abru and he is currently seen in drama serial Mehboob Appke Kadmo Mein and in all of his dramas, the kind of makeup he has worn goes to show that he is trying to achieve a fairer complexion.
This concludes the list of those actors who try to look fair in their projects. Do you think this trend is acceptable and do these actors look good or they should stick to their beautiful natural skin tones and embrace them with utmost confidence? Share your thoughts.

Social media today saw a video of actor Ali Rehman Khan going viral, where the actor was seen yelling at a McDonald’s employee, asking him if he knew who he was and if he had seen any of his dramas?
Social media reacted violently to the video. Not only did it become one of the top trends in Pakistan but people also called out Ali Rehman Khan for playing his celebrity card and demanding to be dealt as a VIP in a public place.
However, it seems, there was a whole different scenario behind the video, as Ali Rehman Khan, himself, took to social media and made it clear how the entire video was part of a social experiment.
Explaining in his video, Ali stated that the entire scene at McDonald’s was staged to show how we need to react and stand up against the VIP culture that exists so blatantly in our society. Ali said that change needs to be triggered in our society and people need to speak up and put a stop to this culture which will be trending under #TumJantayHoMainKaunHoon
Ali went on to state how it was important that we reacted to VIP culture in actuality rather than only on social media and teach our children how this needed to be stopped for the future.
What do you have to say about this entire scenario? Share your thoughts in the comments below. (thewriteofyourlife.org)
Ali Rehman Khan is a rather recognized name in the Pakistani entertainment industry. The actor has a number of films and dramas to his credit and therefore, he certainly is a face known around Pakistan. About this we’re certain. However it seems, a McDonald’s employee didn’t really know Ali Rehman Khan or there has been a massive misunderstanding, in a video that has gone viral on social media and is currently the top trend in Pakistan on Twitter.
Although we don’t know the entire scenario, but we do see actor Ali Rehman Khan, yelling at the employee about something.
Ali Rehman Khan is recorded using lines stating, “Aapko pata hai main kaun hoon? Aapne kabhi mujhe TV pe dekha hai? Aap employee hain, aapka kaam hai meri baat maanna.” (“Do you know who I am? Have you ever seen me on TV? You are an employee, your job is to do as I say.”)
In response to Ali’s angry rants, the employee is repeatedly asking him to not be upset (angry) and that he isn’t joking with him.
Ali is only seen to get quiet and let go of the issue when he finds he’s being recorded on camera by a random person.
Although this sort of a behavior doesn’t really suit a celebrity and we know people will be quick to bash Ali for behaving in this particular way or misusing his popularity. The matter should be given a rest and people should stop being judgemental at least until they do know the full side of the story.
The video for now, only show Ali Rehman Khan yelling at the McDonald’s employee. Giving Ali the benefit of doubt, lets not judge him until we know what caused Ali to rant in public, even when he knows social media works faster than anything in this age and that his popularity could be at stake with this sort of an attitude.

The approval and opening of the Kartarpur Corridor was a historic moment between India and Pakistan. More so, the decision to allow visa free entry to Sikhs to visit the religious and beloved site whenever they wished, was a beckoning moment which would go down in history.
So why is the Kartarpur corridor so important one may ask?
The call for visa free Kartapur Sahib corridor was first initiated when the corriodor opened in 1999 and has been a old, long persistent demand from the Sikh community. Here we will tell you all you need to know about Sri Kartarpur Sahib.
Sri Kartarpur Sahib (Kartarpur, Shakargarh, Narowal District)
Sri Kartarpur Sahib is located in Kartarpur, Narowal. It is known to be the world’s largest Gurdwara and a holds a special place in the hearts of Sikhs around the world. It is also the second holiest site of Sikhism, after the Gurdwara Janam Asthan (the birthplace of Guru Nanak).
Baba Guru Nanak assembled a Sikh community at this very location and spent the last 18 years of his life until he passed away in the year 1539.
While the main shrine was built in 1925, the site was repaired in the 90’s with restoration work done in 2000’s and finally the surrounding areas had a courtyard, museum, library, domitories and locker rooms built from November 2018 which covers an area of 42 acres.
The opening of the Kartarpur corridor commemorates the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. Subsequently, the corridor connects two gurdwaras located on either side of the border – that is the Dera Baba Nanak in India and Sri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan.
The Gurdwara is only a 2 hour and 15 minute drive away from Lahore which makes it 120 KM northeast of the city. Although a sacred religious site, anyone, belonging to any religion, can visit the site without absolutely no restrictions. The only things you need for entry are original CNIC and entry fee is PKR 200 per person for Pakistanis.
While the relgious site opened to pilgrims in 1999 after repairs and restorations, this is the first time and forever from now on that the site is accessible to Indians without any visa restrictions (a valid passport is required for identification purposes).
The corridor built between India and Pakistan allows easier access to travel and return the same day after paying darshan (pay respect) to the site.
If any Indian is visiting, there is a separate process for one time entry to the Gurdwara while entry fee for each visit is $20.

Ohkay so, I am glad that finally the story moved forward & yes, apart from a few scenes, the background music wasn’t loud either which made this episode easy to watch. After watching the previous episode & comparing it with this one, this episode for sure looked like a totally different work in terms of direction as well as editing & no I am not complaining. I really hope we’re past the flashbacks, fillers & unnecessary repetitive scenes & here’s to hoping that they are now starting to wrap this drama up. I did like whatever was shown in this episode because it was ‘new’ & we’re finally getting insight into Sameer’s life, especially in a setting where he is now sharing it with someone. I must add, all the stars that this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb is getting is only because of the brilliant acting that Zahid Ahmed & Sonya Hussyn have displayed in this episode, it was definitely a treat to watch them!
The Secret Is Out:
Gauhar got to see Sameer as Sameera, she did realize that Sameer was a different person, this was the secret he was hiding all along & that this was the reason why no one was allowed to disturb him after he came back from office & went inside his room till morning. I would’ve definitely liked if they had elaborated Gauhar’s state of mind a little more but I have felt they have always treated her emotions as an afterthought. They have done this in the past when she got attacked with an acid, so this didn’t come as a surprise. Some elaboration was definitely needed because this was something that she must not have imagined in her wildest dreams & seeing her husband in such an avatar that too during their very first interaction as a husband & wife must’ve been petrifying but they skipped her reaction completely. Let’s just say, whatever was shown was not enough to look convincing but yes, Sonya Hussyn did act brilliantly in those limited scenes & she did her best in conveying Gauhar’s emotions as much as she could.
The best scene of this entire episode was the day after Sameer & Gauhar got married. Sameer knew his secret was out, the state that he found Gauhar in was enough to let him know that he had scared her. Sameer did realize that he must’ve looked like a monster to his wife, that is why he was ashamed, he was terrified & he felt miserable seeing Gauhar in such a state. It was brilliantly shown that Sameer was not oblivious & he was very much aware of what he has done. The cry for help was loud & clear, Sameer knew that it wasn’t the time for explanations or answering the questions, it was simply the right time to seek Gauhar’s help because deep down he has this faith in her that she can help him overcome his demons & bring him out of his misery. Sameer obviously didn’t want to leave such an impression on his wife but because he couldn’t help it, he was embarrassed to the point where he also shed a tear. That entire scene was brilliantly directed & both Zahid Ahmed & Sonya Hussyn yet again proved their caliber as actors – phenomenal work I must say!
The rest of the episode basically covered the other tracks but yes, this time around even their scenes had a lot of meaning & importance which was good to see. Gauhar’s family found out about Sameer’s condition but yes, her father was right to judge that Saleem must’ve agreed to it by taking something in return. I am still not a fan of Gauhar’s mother, she asks why Gauhar has to pay the price all the time, well I guess she should be asking this question to herself. Jahangir & co. found out about Kashif & now he is going to use this linkup against Gauhar & Sameer. Donia is just being herself, she is behaving like a girl in love & is happy to be engaged to the guy she loves but unfortunately, Kashif’s got nothing to offer in return, which actually is sad. I used to feel for Kashif in the initial episodes but now I feel his character has become quite one-dimensional & there’s nothing interesting about him. He is missing a spark & he’s just another regular character that we come across in different dramas which leaves no impression or impact. Yes, he is engulfed in his misery but aur kuch? Nothing, so basically boring!
Sameer & Gauhar’s interaction was interesting when he came back & showed Gauhar the signs of Sameera yet again. Now the ball’s in Gauhar court & she has to come up with a solution to the problem that she, as Sameer’s wife is faced with. Gauhar had realized the moment she saw Sameer as Sameera that ‘this is the reality’ & she can not escape it. She did understand right at that moment that Sameer needs help & he is not ashamed of asking for it either. This was definitely a defining moment of their relationship because Gauhar saw that Sameer was actually helpless & he was admitting it. If Sameer had acted as a typical husband, failing to acknowledge that he has some issues, that would’ve made things a lot more difficult for Gauhar but just his submissiveness & acknowledgement was enough for her to believe that she can help her husband, which is beautiful! I am definitely interested to see how Gauhar will deal with Sameer henceforth & for this reason I really enjoyed the preview as well. Definitely looking forward to their equation & yes, I’d be glad if Gauhar & Sameer will stay together & find their happy ending because Sameer is not a monster, he is just someone who needs love, care, attention & a lot of unlearning to do in order to feel secure & let go of his complexes! If this is the new ending that the team is coming up with, then I am excited for it.
In this episode, another aspect was covered, though I definitely blame Sabeeha for mistreating Sameer & making sure he doesn’t come out of his guilt, like she had her ulterior motives but Shakira was twisted as well. Shakira was no way suitable to be around a child of Sameer’s age because she actually messed with his train of thought & taught him things no one should teach a child. I am definitely not giving Sabeeha a clean chit & yes, whatever she did was because of her own selfish reasons but I won’t blame her for parting Sameer & Shakira because that was actually the right thing to do & very much important for Sameer’s well-being. It also looks like the new angle has been added to Shakira’s story where she was subjected to some kind of mistreatment from Sameer’s father Ehsan, let’s see when will they reveal this detail.
Closing Thoughts – Exciting Precap:
Overall, this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb was definitely better than the previous episode. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the acting of Zahid Ahmed as well as Sonya Hussyn & after a lot of weeks the preview of the next episode is making me look forward to it. I so want to see how Gauhar will take care of Sameer & how he will accept her help. Kashif for sure is a nice character but I totally feel Gauhar is better suited with Sameer, he knows how to take care of her, he has shown it in the past & now it is Gauhar’s turn to reciprocate the kindness with which Sameer has treated her all along. I’d be happy to see them both finding happiness & staying together, Kashif shouldn’t get a forced happy ending only because he & Gauhar were once in love. They are past that stage so I am hoping the writer will keep it that way. Yumna Zaidi’s scenes seemed new because her makeup & the overall vibe of her scenes was definitely different from the previous ones, but I am glad they are now giving us an insight into her personality & mentality too, she definitely seemed off so it is a good move that they have decided to elaborate it further, as that will allow the viewers to understand her character better. Yes, I am glad Sabeeha intervened & sent Shakira away because she was not an ideal person to be around a child so young. Also, definitely looking forward to the time when Sameer will get to meet his biological mother, I so hope the remaining episodes cover the actual story & the drama-makers are done with the flashbacks. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb.

Ever since Hamza Ali Abbasi announced his indefinite retirement from showbiz, the actor has been receiving all sorts of reactions from the masses. While some praise Hamza’s courage to quit showbiz and acting at the peak of his career, a lot of people have been calling Hamza’s announcement nothing but a publicity gimmick.
However, in a recent interview with Voice Of America, Hamza Ali Abbasi responded to all trolls who criticized his decision and stated that he had done so to gain popularity only.
Answering the host that acting would have been the best medium for popularity and had he wanted to gain that and publicity he would never have left the industry in the first place. Anyone and everyone who is a pet lover knows how much mess they can make which is why animal lovers need to make their homes pet friendly. Here’s a few tips on how you can do just that:
Ditch the carpets
Furry Pets tend to shed a lot and you don’t want your whole house covered in hair or be sneezing and not be able to clean up the place if you’ve got carpets all over. Instead of getting your whole room carpeted, try and get your room in ceramic tiles or wooden flooring. They are much more easier to clean than carpets (which by the way, cats really like to scratch to sharpen their claws). You can also invest in slip proof rugs to make the place look less untidy.
Choose furniture smartely
You can’t really stop your furry friends from sitting on your furniture so choose a quilt or rug to place over them. Be sure to wash them regularly though. Use non toxic cleaners and sprays to clean your furniture as well in case your pets tend to scratch them. Avoid investing in super expensive furniture though because you don’t want to be upset if it gets ruined.
Move small decorations out of sight
Move small pieces of decorations out of sight and reach of your pets. Any breakable items should be kept in enclosed cabinets as cats and dogs tend to get over excited and might jump around and such items may be prone to breakage. Again, you don’t want to get upset due to loss of such items especially if they’re expensive.
Get trash cans with lids on them
Surely you don’t want a mess around your house if your pet knocks over your trash can while playing or running around. In this case, it is advisable to get trash cans with lids on them.
Designate eating spots for the pets
Place your pets’ eating bowls in one designated spot and train them to eat their and also not create a mess. You can take a trip to the pet store and buy 2-3 bowls which look super cute. You should also place your furry friends food securely in cabinets and only give it to them at proper timings.
Bathe your pets regularly
Your pets need to be groomed and bathed regularly so there is less fur and less mess around the household. This way you and your pet can also be safe from any allergies.
Secure electrical cords properly
Secure electrical cords away and out of sight from pets at all times. You don’t want them to get tangled in them or worse get an electrical shock. Cover and tuck them as far away as possible.
Humayun Saeed has contributed to the entertainment industry of Pakistan in more ways than one. Some of the Humayun Saeed dramas which he has worked in and also produced are considered classics. Humayun Saeed has the same screen presence on the small screen which he has on the big screen. He also owns two of the biggest production houses in the country and in this way he has not only given the viewers quality dramas but also some of the highest grossing Pakistani films. Humayun Saeed dramas right now even are on top of the ratings chart. His acting in these dramas is continuously being appreciated by everyone. Lately, Humayun Saeed decided to take up those projects as an actor on the small screen which appealed to him a lot.
He is definitely in a position which allows him to have complete freedom to choose the kind of projects which he finds have substance. This is the reason why lately Humayun Saeed has done some of his best work. Humayun Saeed is also one of those very few stars who accept criticism whole heartedly and even after all these years, he acknowledges the fact that there is always room for improvement. Humayun Saeed is dedicated to his work which makes him an entertainer who is continuously coming up with exciting projects for the viewers.
Interestingly enough, every drama Humayun Saeed has worked in lately has been considered his comeback project because he takes long breaks before appearing on television. Humayun Saeed made sure that he made all these ‘comebacks’ count by giving one outstanding performance after the other.
Here is a list of the best dramas starring Humayun Saeed in leading roles.
Mere Pass Tum Ho is on top of this list because this drama has given Humayun Saeed so much success that he himself is amazed by it. Mere Pass Tum Ho is one of those rare dramas in which the male protagonist is the victim and the female lead is playing a negative role. After a long time the viewers are watching such a story. Since the male lead in the show played by Humayun Saeed has the sympathies of the viewers therefore he is always the center of attention in every episode. Humayun Saeed’s amazing performance has been appreciated not just by the general public but also by different celebrities. He has literally made the viewers cry with him more than once. His realistic performances has made the viewers relate to his character at every step and in every situation. Humayun Saeed had this script with him for 5 years because he was really interested in playing the leading role in the drama but could not find the time to be a part of this project. Since this project was so close to his heart, when it came to performing the role and executing the project, he put the best team together.
The result was a drama which got record breaking ratings and so much love from the viewers that the makers themselves were surprised by the response. Mere Pass Tum Ho is Humayun Saeed’s best performance, not only this, he has also produced this drama. For the second time Humayun Saeed played the role of a love-stricken man but this time around this man’s life was more tragic. Mere Pass Tum Ho is definitely a must-watch drama for all the Humayun Saeed fans out there.
It does not come as a surprise that another one of the best performances of Humayun Saeed came from a project which was made by his own production house. Dillagi was a drama which won viewers back after they were somewhat disappointed with the role Humayun Saeed played in drama serial Bin Roye. Dillagi can easily be termed as the most powerful performance of Humayun Saeed in recent times which won him his viewership back on television. This was the first time that Humayun Saeed played a larger than life romantic hero on screen. Humayun Saeed had done plenty of romantic dramas before too but he was most often seen as a weak character who could not stand by the side of the women he claimed to love. Although Humayun Saeed nailed those characters as well but this was a refreshing change from the characters Humayun Saeed had been seen playing for many years.
In Dillagi, the character that Humayun Saeed played was written so well that it had more strengths than weaknesses. The dialogues and Humayun Saeed’s performance made this drama another massive hit starring Humayun Saeed. Humayun Saeed’s on-screen chemistry with Mehwish Hayat contributed to the success of this drama. It was only after Dillagi’s success that Humayun Saeed’s block buster film Punjan Nahi Jaun Gi was launched, which was a really intelligent move by the actor an producer. Humayun Saeed’s look and acting both in Dillagi were loved by all.
Doraha aired in 2008 when Humayun Saeed was running 7th Sky Entertainment. Therefore, this is yet another drama on this list starring Humayun Saeed which was also from his own production house. Doraha till date is considered a classic which should not be missed. Humayun Saeed’s natural performance was convincing throughout. This was the story of a man who truly was on the crossroads because of some of the wrong decisions he made in his weak moments. Doraha was a thoroughly entertaining and extremely emotional play. It is also one of the best scripts written by Umera Ahmed which showed that there is beauty in simple story telling.
In a recent interview Humayun Saeed also shared that Doraha was one of his favorite plays even now. Even if the viewers tune in to this drama today, they will find themselves completely lost in the world of all the characters. Humayun Saeed’s acting was the best in Doraha.
Kafir
Writer: Abdul Khaliq Khan
Director: Shahid Shafaat
Producer: Six Sigma Plus
Kafir is the only play in which Humayun Saeed played an evil character. The drama itself was extremely popular and the fact that people hated Humayun Saeed in the role went to show just how exceptional his performance was. Kafir was another hit drama serial which was also a thriller, a genre which is usually not explored in Pakistani dramas. This drama had the viewers hooked but after this Humayun Saeed never starred in an all out negative role. If you are a fan who wants to see how good Humayun Saeed playing a negative role then you should definitely tune into this one. Kafir is an enticing play but at the same time it can be disturbing too.
Mehndi
Writer: Seema Ghazal
Director: Muhammad Javed Fazil
Producer: Jerjees Seja – Shamim Khursheed
Mehndi was a commercial play which got a lot of success due to its star cast and even its OST was extremely famous. It aired in 2003. This drama showed the stories of different newly-wed couples and the problems they faced. Humayun Saeed’s role and performance in this play was one of the best. His character was definitely one viewers could relate to and loved more than any other. The ending was also another reason why the character played by Humayun Saeed in Mehndi stayed in the minds of the viewers for a really long time.
Which one of these plays starring Humayun Saeed have you watched? Which play will you tune in to next? Share your views in the comments section.

Meray Pass Tum Ho is currently one of the most trending dramas on television. In fact, this one drama has become one of the highest rating earners on any channel for a long time. The audience have started not only relating well to the characters of Meray Pass Tum Ho, they actually feel for Danish, hating Mehwish and Shahwar for whatever they have done to him.
Another character that the audience absolutely hated but who served as a very strong link for the introduction between Mehwish and Shahwar, Mehwish’s friend Anoushay, has been missing from the scene for quite some time now. It seems, her work was only limited to introducing the two to each other. But life doesn’t work this way, unless people serve a full purpose and a lot of people still want to know whether Anoushay will be coming back in Meray Pass Tum Ho?
And while we can only make a safe guess, Mehar Bano who plays Anoushay in the drama, recently dropped a hint that Anoushay indeed will be making a comeback in Mehwish’s life.
It can be safe to imagine that Anoushay will be providing Mehwish shelter if Shahwar ever lets her go. But considering how Anoushay’s nature has been shown in the show, there could be a possibility that Anoushay’s loyalty lies more with Shahwar’s wife (since she is the one who is a major partner in Shahwar’s business) and she serves as a link who will tell her what’s happening ever since she has settled abroad, leaving Shahwar all alone in Pakistan.
Whatever the case, Meray Pass Tum Ho keeps getting interesting by the minute and we’d love to know how the twists and turns in the drama will unfold in the future.
Ahsan Khan has many awards under his name and recently he is appointed as Ambassador for Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.
He has worked in many drama serials and one of his series was about awareness of child sexual abuse within the rural areas of the country. Ahsan Khan played the role of a pedophile. (Ultram) Khan has done a fantastic job in playing the role of pedophile and he’s taken his persona, from a man who steps in to take a widow and her young daughter under his protective wing, to a sexual predator whose bloodshot eyes and body language are blood-curdling.
Humayun Saeed took to Twitter and congratulated Ahsan Khan for being appointed as Ambassador for Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.
“Congrats @Ahsankhanuk on being appointed ambassador for Child Protection and Welfare Bureau. Wish you all the best!” Humayun wrote.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression which can affect anyone whether and usually comes and goes with the seasons mostly beginning in the start of fall or winter and going around spring time.
Symptoms of SAD
Some of the symptoms related to this disorder include lack of interest in activities, sleeping too much, lethargy, gaining weight, loss of appetite, lack of concentration in work or other activities, suicidal thoughts, social withdrawal, etc.
Seasonal Affective Disorder may occur due to a number of reasons. During fall/winter months our body receives less sunlight while darkness is more apparent, this in turn can affect melatonin levels (which is a hormone that regulates the sleep-wake cycle), thus resulting in changes in sleeping patterns and leaving us feeling gloomy and upset.
Secondly, the lack of sunlight and Vitamin D can cause changes in the body thus triggering depression. The lack of sunlight can also cause a drop in serotonin levels (a chemical in the body which helps regulate mood, social behavior, sleep, memory patterns, etc) in the brain which can trigger depressive state.
Who all can suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder?
Anyone can suffer from this type of disorder some categories include:
Females
Any person having a previous diagnosis of depression
Anyone having a family history of this type of depression
Younger people and children
Anyone who lives in a country which receives lesser sunlight throughout the year
How to cure Seasonal Affective Disorder?
Get Professional Help – If you’ve had symptoms of SAD in the fall/winter months during the last two years, only then you are affected by the disorder. You must seek professional help in such a case. If you feel you can not cope yourself, a psychiatrist or therapist may be able to help you. Pay attention to your mind, body and overall physical state and visit a professional.
Antidepressant Medication – Medication should only be taken when prescribed by a professional for disorders.
Light Therapy – This is a therapy related to receiving light to cure the symptoms of SAD. During this method, you can sit or work near a device known as a light therapy box. This box will give you bright light which will feel like outdoor natural light. It is a safe way of treatment and has few side effects.
Vitamins and Supplements – Sunlight gives off Vitamin D but if you’re unable to receive much of it during the season, you can surely take supplements of Vitamin D. Other than that, Vitamin B6, B12 and omega fatty acids also improve mood and energy levels.
Eat the right food – Eating the right food can help increase energy levels and mood. Foods which contain carbs should be mostly avoided when you’re feeling symptoms of sad. Such foods are bread, pasta, potato chips, etc. You should try and eat healthy foods such as fish, berries, vegetables, etc.
Outdoor activities – Going out while there is daylight should be on your agenda. You can either take a walk outside or do some sort of exercise while taking in the sunlight while it is still there. Yoga, meditation and any other physical activity can also help cure SAD and ease the symptoms making you feel chirpy and happy.
